So, the Powers That Be have decided to put the Sin City Wrestling's resident Warrior Angel in a tournament to try to get the chance to be the Number One Contender for the Bombshell Internet Championship.  That would mean that Raynin would be one step closer to becoming a Grand Slam Champion.  But with Valentine's Day coming up, will the Rebellious One be able to keep her mind set on getting the gold?  Or will spending time with her Boo, the teddy bear Angel, be enough of a distraction to cause her to miss a step on the path towards greatness?  Let's see what transpires, shall we?

This was the last place that anyone would want to be at the butt crack of dawn.  I mean, who would want to be sitting in a doctor's office for three hours?  And you find yourself more often than not waiting in those uncomfortable chairs that always make you feel like you've got a million little pins sticking you in your back, legs and butt.  It's like the people who design those offices go out of their way to find the tiniest, ugliest, and down right painful chairs they can find, and buy them in bulk, so that even if they redecorate, they can have that specifically painful chair available in another color to always match the décor.  But that's exactly where the Angels of the Fallen find themselves right at this moment.

Darknyss had an appointment with her orthopedist to discuss future options to deal with what was going on with her legs, and she'd asked the other Angels to come for moral support, but the nurses weren't having any shenanigans in their office, and had relegated her and the rest of the group to the waiting room while Dark Tiger accompanied Darknyss to the back.  Which meant that Raynin, Diamond and Gothika were stuck in the chairs for HOURS while they first waited for the appointment, then waited for the appointment to be done.  And what happens when you're stuck waiting in a waiting room?  You get bored.  And Raynin was experiencing the epitome of boredom.

She was sitting there, watching Gothika and Diamond do anything the possibly could to keep themselves pre-occupied, but she knew that they were failing miserably.  Gothika was on her phone playing Candy Crush, and Diamond was on her phone, typing furiously.  She was working on a new recipe for a potion, and she had to get all of the notations down before they left her brain.  And Raynin was there just looking spaced out, as if she was staring off into space.  But of course that was not the case.  She was actually totally checked out, without one of the numbers or the Others in the driver's seat.  There was a big commotion going on in the crystal maze of her mind, and it was all hands on deck. So in the real world, she was curled up in a seat, appearing to doze while she was waiting for her friend to come back out of the doctor's office.  But in her mind, it was quite a different matter...

**********

As you sink into the vortex that leads to the crystal and mirror walled maze that is Raynin's mind, you can hear the cacophony of  voices echoing off of the walls.  The sound is so loud, that you can't seem to pinpoint exactly where it's coming from.  But what's most shocking is the fact that the sound is accompanied by flashes of light streaking through the walls of the maze whenever certain voices are heard.  The walls flash a pale pink when a child like voice is heard, a blood red when a very distinct, almost snake like voice is heard, and a pale blue when a very familiar tone of voice is heard.  And they're all moving towards the center of the maze.

As you follow the light show, it veers off down a fork in the hallways, slighly away from the center of the maze.  Ad you continue on, you start to pass various doors cut into the walks.  The doors all have numbers.  Some of the doors have a backlight to them, making them almost glow, but quite a few doors are blackened.  It's as if the lights have been turned off on the inside of a house with glass block windows, and you can't see into them. As the numbers start getting lower and lower, you notice that you're walking towards a large pair of double doors.  The doors swing open, and it reveals that you're at the top deck of a huge amphitheater, chocked full of different versions of Raynin.  You see Raynin as a child, Raynin as a teenager, Raynin as an adult, Raynin as a soldier, Raynin as a high school kid playing basketball and wearing a jersey, Raynin in college, dressed in a football uniform with black grease paint under her eyes and carrying a helmet, Raynin dressed in a luchador's mask, half of which is covered in blood... Everywhere you look, it's Raynin, Raynin and more Raynin!

As you look down, there is a dais on the amphitheater floor, atop of which sits three figures.  One is a child like version of Raynin.  She's dressed in a blue, white and grey school uniform.  She's sitting in an unadorned chair, and is looking around at the other Raynins out in the audience who all appear to be agitated.   Sitting to one side of her in a huge ornate throne sits a familiar figure.  The Other is sitting smugly in the throne wearing a long flowing red gown with an ornately embroidered red and silver bolero jacket over her shoulders, and a gold and platinum crown decked out to the nines with diamonds and rubies.  She's holding six foot tall a jewel encrusted scepter that's got the end resting on the floor, and her feet are resting on a velvet ottoman.  She's looking around at the chaos and is smiling, her red lizard slitted eyes glittering in the light  Sitting on the other side the childlike figure is our Raynin.  She's dressed exactly as she is dressed in the real world, and looks just as bored.  She's wearing a pair of black sweat pants and a black wife beater tank to with a charcoal grey hoodie over it, unzipped, and she's got on a pair of black sunglasses that cover her eyes completely.  Her hair is hanging loose in waves around her face, and it's obscuring the look on her face even further.  She sits back and shakes her head.  She suddenly puts her fingers in her mouth and whistles a high pitched siren like sound that reverberates throughout the hall.  She stands and starts to pace as the room quiets down.

Raynin

"Look, I know you all want to get your chance to come out and play sometime in the ring, but let's face it.  I don’t know if even half of you have the skills, or the mind set to really put in an effort out there.  But I'll be nice.  Over the next few weeks, I'll start taking requests.  I'll come in here, and I'll train you guys up.  I want to make sure that if any of you, and I do mean ANY of you step out in that ring, that you won't be a hindrance or a liability.  I want you to be strong, resolute, and to have the capabilities to portray yourselves properly as me out in the ring.  Or, at least a pretty decent facsimile of me.  While I'm not around, I'm going to trust The Other to also pitch in and do her part."

The Other smirks as she looks around.

The Other

"Oh, ssssso does that mean I get to play with all of the little moussssssiesout there?"

Raynin snaps her fingers in The Other's face and frowns.

Raynin

"No, it means that while I'm dealing with shit outside, you'll play nice in here, and get the Numbers ready for if, and I do mean IF they have to take the reins while I'm in the ring.  You got it?  You will be helpful, not hurtful.  And no being a sadistic bitch, either.  OK?"

The Other sits back and pouts, crossing her arms over her chest.

The Other

"Aww pooh!  You're no fun."

Just then, the whole maze starts to shake, and you can hear a voice calling Raynin's voice.

Raynin

"Aww shit... I've been away too long... I gotta go..."

Raynin goes up the swirling funnel that leads back to her mind, and starts awake in the real world.

Raynin

"I didn’t do it!!"

Gothika pats her on the shoulder again.

Gothika

"From the look of the wet spot on your shirt, yes you did, drooly.  Now come on, the doctor just called us back to speak to him."

Raynin stretches and yawns and follows along behind the other Angels as they walk back to the doctor's office.  They have a seat in front of his desk, then look around confused, as only Dark Tiger is in the office.  The doctor clears her throat and leans forward to speak.

Dr. Anuja

"Hello Ladies.  I asked you to come into my office so I could discuss a few things about Ms. Darkk's condition."

Raynin frowns and looks around confued.

Raynin

"What's going on Doc?  Is everything ok?"

Dr. Anuja

"Oh yes, everything is fine.  That's the point.  There's no reason for Zatanya to not be able to walk.  Her condition is psychosomatic."

Diamond frowns and looks around.

Diamond

"You mean, she's doing it to herself?"

The doctor nods, and everyone in the room looks around as the news sinks in.  The scene fades out.
