Jessie had a lot on her mind lately, the thirty two year old woman was fast approaching the tenth year anniversary of her SCW debut which fell on the 15th of July and whilst it wasn’t clear if SCW would be running shows during that period, one thing was clear, Jessie was thinking about retirement due to nagging injuries! Jessie was going to announce it at Climax Control 331 following Into the Void XI where she was left off the card but there was a male wrestler sized wrench in those plans.

Mark Cross and Amber Ryan had won this year’s King and Queen for a Day Ladder Matches respectively and Mark’s turn as king was up first, he had booked several matches with unique stipulations but the one that concerned Jessie was the Main Event where she was teaming with the newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion  Matthew “The Raven” Knox to take on Mark and Levana Cade in a tag team Blazing Tables Match, only way for either team to win was to put their opponents through for a blazing table or a regular table! Can Jessie and Matthew get the win?

This has been a long time coming.

As I entered my fourteenth year as a professional wrestler one thing was on my mind, that the time for me to hang up the boots for good was approaching fast! I know what you’re thinking, off the three “old women” who wrestle in SCW, I’m easily the youngest behind Myra Rivers (37) and Mercedes Vargas (40) at 32 years old but here’s the thing, I’ve been working the same high flying, high impact style since I debuted in the business at eighteen and aside from my yearly trips to Bloodstock in England, I’ve rarely taken any time off.

Bloodstock off course being a metal music festival, I don’t think I need to tell you that my body is a wreck.

When I was younger, I powered through the pain and fought through it, I refused to take pain killers because I was worried that I’d just get addicted to them like I was to hard drugs when I was a teenager and that didn’t exactly help matters, sadly it’s gotten to the point where I can’t really power through it anymore.

So here I am, at my laptop, doing something that I thought I wouldn’t do for another ten years at least, writing my retirement speech.

”Okay, just gotta get past this first paragraph.” I sighed to myself as I made myself comfortable at my computer, I had my phone by my side for when the first Climax Control Card of the cycle got announced but that was low on my priority list right now. ”Ugh, why is this so hard?! Just write the truth Jessie, that your body is broken down and it’s time you hung up the boots for the last time!” I grunted in annoyance as I was experiencing the worst timed case of writer’s block in my adult life.

I did eventually manage to write down a couple of more sentences before I got the text notification on my phone, I glanced over at it and when I saw that it was Mark Cross’s King for a Day card I ignored it, I had never really spoken much to Mark Cross and I seriously doubted that he had any ideas for me, I wrote down a couple of more sentences before I got another text which I initially ignored because I figured that it was the phone reminding me of my missed text, but when I reached over to grab a drink I saw that it was a text from Krystal. ”Hey Jess, no spoilers but you might want to check the card.”

”I doubt Krystal would’ve texted me that if it didn’t concern me.” I commented to myself before I checked the first text, I skimmed through most of the card and had a good chuckle at some of Mark’s crazier ideas and then I saw the Main Event. ”Well, that complicates matters.” I sighed before deleting all my work on my retirement speech and closing the word document, after that was done I facetimed Krystal. ”You could’ve just said that I was teaming with the newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion in the Main Event.” I greeted the Aussie who shook her head.

”And spoil the surprise?” Krystal responded with a good natured grin before she saw the look on her face. ”That’s not the look I was expecting you to give me.”

”It’s complicated Charlotte, I’ll explain it to you during the week.” I responded with a frown and Krystal nodded as she got the idea. ”Does Ari know about her match against Kayla? Last I heard, she was working a GCW Event in Greensboro, North Carolina.”

”If you mean Resurrection, then yeah, she worked night one of the event.” Krystal nodded to confirm what I had thought. ”To make a long story short, her match didn’t go her way even after she won, last I spoke to her she was flying back to Vegas with Francisco.”

”I had heard that the GCW Show was a three night event, so if things did go to shit then I’m not surprised that Ari chose to bail rather than stick around for night three.” I responded with a shrug and Krystal nodded in agreement. ”Did Ari say what went wrong at the GCW event?”

”She didn’t get a chance too, by the time she called me her and Francisco’s flight had arrived and they needed to get going.” Krystal explained as she shifted her weight and I nodded in response. ”I’m like an older sister to Ari, Cass and Adrienne and whilst Cass is the troublemaker and Adrienne’s the troubled one, Ari’s the mature one who knows she can talk to me about anything, in other words, whatever happened at the GCW show will probably be explained to me when she touches down in Vegas.”

”Probably as soon as you meet up at the Go Gym.” I responded with a nod as I shifted my weight. ”You didn’t answer my question about Ari’s match by the way.”

”Yeah, sorry I got side-tracked, assuming that she left her phone in airplane mode? She probably got the new card text at the same time we did.” Krystal apologized and I shook my head in response. ”So thoughts on teaming with the new World Heavyweight Champion?”

I decided to bite my tongue on why I was annoyed at being booked in a match like this, I’d rather keep my retirement plans as secret as I can. ”Knox surprised everyone at Into the Void X because pretty much everyone was expecting Mac to retain the title, instead Mac’s reign became the latest long runner to come to an end! He’s going to enter this match looking to prove that his title win wasn’t a fluke, but Mark and Levana will have their own agendas.”

”Let’s start with the obvious one, you handed Levana her first singles loss and Mark pinned Matthew two weeks later, both matches took place during the Greece Lightning Tour.” Krystal added and I nodded knowing where the Aussie was going with this. ”Levana will be out to avenge that loss, that much is obvious, and on paper it looks like Mark Cross is giving Matthew the same opportunity, but I think his ulterior motive couldn’t be clearer.”

”In other words, if Mark gets the win over Knox in this match, then he could try to parley that into a future World Title Shot, possibly at Summer XXXTreme X.” I nodded knowing that was what Krystal meant and the Aussie’s eyes told me that I was right on the money. ”But if that was his plan, why not put the title on the line during this match? It would be well within his power as King for a Day and he’d hardly be the only winner of those ladder matches to give himself a title shot!”

”Yeah I was planning on doing that with the Bombshell Roulette Title if I won the Queen for a Day Match and you’ve made no secret of your desire to do the same whenever you were competing in that match.” Krystal nodded in agreement as she folded her arms. ”Something isn’t adding up here,, did Mark really just use his powers to book a series of crazy matches whilst sticking himself in a Main Event match against the World Champion without the title on the line for the hell of it?”

”Who knows? Mark Cross has always been one of wrestling’s more colourful personalities.” I could only shrug my shoulders in response to that before I frowned. ”And there’s the elephant in the room, this match is a Blazing Tables Match, only way to win is to put your opponent through a table, blazing or otherwise.”

”I’ve heard of going down in a blaze of glory but that’s ridiculous! And no, I don’t mean the SCW PPV.” Krystal responded with a chuckle unwittingly adding further fuel to my thoughts on retirement, I heard Makayla’s voice from outside Krystal’s room and she turned to me. ”I’d better go, Makayla’s about to serve up dinner! She cooked up a beef brisket stew in a slow cooker for five hours.”

”Sounds so delicious that it’s making me hungry and I had dinner an hour ago!” I responded with a chuckle as Krystal stood up to go get her dinner. ”Just one quick thing before I hang up Charlotte, you have a serious future in this business, SCW and beyond, don’t let it go to waste by making the same mistakes I did.”

”Huh, that was oddly fatalistic, especially considering how often you’ve talked about retirement over these past few months.” Krystal commented with a puzzled look on her face and I remained silent. ”Does it have anything to do with that tweet you put out yesterday?”

”Tell you what? Pop down to my home gym at any point during the week and I’ll tell you, only condition is that our conversation never leaves my home gym.” I told the younger woman who quickly nodded in agreement before she hung up to go eat her dinner leaving me on my own. ”The future’s bright, but will it be brighter after I call it a day on my wrestling career?” I asked myself before I left my room.

Tuesday the 26th of May 2022, 17:00pm

Used to come to this café a lot, especially after I finally got a home for myself in Vegas, but since the pandemic hit that slowed to a crawl.

Still the place is small and quiet enough that I can grab a bite to eat and collect my thoughts in peace, make no mistake, retirement is still very much on my mind even after Mark Cross unwittingly delayed those plans when he booked this week’s Main Event Match but it was still a good chance for me to think things over.

”What to order, what to order?” I asked myself as I looked over the menu, I heard an older woman clear her throat and I shook my head thinking it was a fan. ”Sorry, I’ll be with you in a second, just trying to decide what to order.” I apologized to the older woman without looking up from the menu.

“I remember this place serving a decent Risotto the last time I was in Vegas.”  A familiar voice rang out and I finally looked up seeing my older sister Katie, not to be confused with Katie Storms off course but it was still a surprise to see her because the last time I saw my sister was when SCW was in Miami for the ill-fated homecoming tour of 2020, and if I need to tell you why a tour that took place in 2020 was ill-fated then you’ve been living under a rock for the past two years. “Off course, that was nearly nine years ago.”

”Time flies!” I responded with a grin before greeting my step-sister with a hug, with the exception of Jake my older siblings stayed out of my wrestling career, Craig did start training to become a wrestler but an injury during training put an end to that dream and Dan was just happy to watch from the side-lines with Katie. ”So, what brings you back to Las Vegas? I thought you had no intention of returning after Jake took over being my guardian?”

“Yeah and I still regret the circumstances that led to that arrangement.” Katie sighed as she sat down opposite me. “Me, Craig and Dan came down after we heard rumours from Jake and Shane that you were contemplating retirement.”

”Contemplating? More like being realistic about it.” I responded as I shook my head and Katie gave me a curious look. ”I’ve got more nagging injuries than I care to count to the point where I’m basically expecting my next medical check-up to end with the words “you can never wrestle again”, feel free to fill in the blanks as to what could happen if I do wrestle again!”

“Are you sure about that?” Katie asked and I nodded in response. “When was your last check-up exactly?”

”Last June, right before that year’s Summer XXXTReme, the doctor was surprised that I had been powering through that many injuries.” I sighed as I brushed some of my hair over my shoulder. ”Since then I competed in a Chamber of Extreme Match, a title match, a tag team hardcore rules match, a Roulette Rules Match that ended up being a Kendo Stick on a Pole” Match against the woman who would go on to dethrone Diamond Steele for the title at Into the Void XI, no one said that wrestling is easy but that doesn’t make it any less brutal on your body as you get older.”

“Jessie, you’re thirty two, there’s at least two women who are older than you on the Bombshell Roster.” Katie pointed out and I frowned knowing where my sister was going with this. “Myra Rivers and Mercedes Vargas are 37 and forty.”

”And they wrestle a different style to mine and have taken breaks, I’ve been wrestling the same style for the entirety of my career and have never taken a break.” I responded before letting out a deep breath. ”And I’m not even getting into my match this week.”

“If you mean that tag team Blazing Tables Match against Mark Cross and Levana Cade, Jake told me about it.” Katie commented knowing what I was talking about and I nodded. “You’re teaming with the newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion though.”

”Yeah and Knox surprised everyone when we won the gold from Mac Bane, he’s going to be out to prove that he isn’t a fluke champion and I know from personal experience that that can lead to desperation and recklessness.” I responded before letting out a deep breath. ”Knox can go in the ring, he’s a massive dick but he knows what he’s doing, I’m  not worried about him pulling his weight as long as he keeps his cool.”

“But it’s your opponents that your worried about?” Katie asked and I nodded. “What do you know about them?”

”Mark is……….a character, if you’ve seen the rest of his ideas for this week’s card you’d known what I mean, Levana arguably has more to prove than Knox.” I responded after thinking for a minute and Katie motioned for me to continue. ”She’s a product of the Go Gym, if you can name at least one former champion of the past several years, there’s a good chance that they came from the Go Gym, Levana is the latest woman to graduate and made her debut in this year’s Blast from the Past where her team, alongside another newcomer, reached the Semi-Finals, including wins over the then World Bombshell Champion in the Quarter Finals, a tainted win where the champion’s partner got pinned but a win..”

“Sounds like she’s had a hell of a rookie year.” Katie commented with an impressed look on her face. “So, what happened to her?”

”Levana’s been in a downward spiral since she lost that Semi-Final match, she lost the Bombshell Gauntlet at Blaze of Glory, lost to me in her first ever singles match and finally got her first singles win over Candy at Into the Void, I don’t think I need to say that it hasn’t been a good time for her.” I explained as I brushed some hair behind my ear. ”Mark said that she made Levana his partner so she could try to get the win back over me but I have my doubts as to whether he’s trying to convince the bosses to give him a shot at Knox or not! He already has a singles win over Knox so he’d at east have a decent argument if he gets another win.”

“And Jake wonders why I chose to let him take the reins, wrestling is just as much a political minefield than Twitter!” Katie sighed as she shook her head and I chuckled before nodding in agreement. “Whilst I’m here, I’ll pay for your meal.”

”Are you sure? Because I’m not exactly strapped for cash.” I pointed out and Katie shook her head.

“Jess, I flew from Miami to Las Vegas, I can cover it!” Katie assured me and when I realized that she wasn’t budging I let her pay for the meal.

It’s certainly been a week.

Between my siblings popping down to see me because someone told them that I was contemplating my retirement as an active wrestler and that shooting down in Texas I was wondering what other direction this week was going to take, and whether I should tell Krystal to leave it for this week or not.

I didn’t and Shane just told me that Krystal had showed up with Cassie so I was busy making sure that the ring that was the centrepiece of the gym was in working order.

”Jess, we’re here.” Krystal called out and I looked up seeing the two Australian women making their way down the staircase. ”Sorry for the delay, had to wait for Cassie’s session at Hero Academy to wrap up!”

”It’s fine, I was just making sure that the ring was in working shape.” I responded after confirming that yes, the ring was good to go. ”How was the session Cass? Did you sass Keira again or is your arm in one piece?”

”I’m never living that down, am I?” The eighteen year old trainee asked and me and Krystal shook our heads at her cousin’s expense. ”Training was good, I’ve pretty much become Keira’s pet project since she opened the school.”

”Considering that it was your expulsion from the PTA Gym that led to Hero Academy’s creation? I’d be surprised if that weren’t the case.” Krystal responded before she turned to me. ”Anyway, Cass wanted to come down with me so she could train with you for old time’s sake, hope that’s okay.”

”That’s fine, I need the warm-up for my match on Sunday anyway! No pun intended, since it’s a Blazing Tables Match and all.” I responded with a shrug and Cassie grinned before she rolled into the ring. ”Besides, a part of me wants to see if these old bones can keep up with the younger generation.”

”Says the woman who’s not even thirty five.” Cassie pointed out and I shook my head, she was technically right but with my nagging injuries? I was feeling a lot older. ”But sure, maybe I will slow down a bit for grandma!”

”Going back to the sass huh? You’re lucky that I’m a lot nicer about it than Keira!” I responded with a grin before I started exchanging some basic holds with Cass and then transitioned into a standard “run the ropes” spot. ”That and I’m seriously considering calling it a day on my wrestling career before the year is over.” I added once we had finished the sparring session catching the two Australian women off guard.

”Huh, so that’s what that tweet was about, not to mention that comment when we talked on Sunday.” Krystal responded as she leaned on the ring apron. ”Are your injuries that bad?”

”Let’s just say that I’m expecting to wake up in a hospital bed after a match one day and then being told by a doctor that I can never wrestle again.” I responded bluntly as I folded my arms. ”I’ll spare you the details but years of being a high flyer who rarely took days off have finally caught up with me, I was going to make it official at Climax Control but Mark’s card nixed those plans.”

”And you don’t want him to scramble to find a new partner for Knox after he had to pull the Metal Maniacs out of retirement as a replacement for Diamond and Mercedes, though considering their opponents were Amber and Masque? I don’t blame them!” Cass commented and I nodded in agreement. ”But what’s the plan for after the match?”

”I’ll take a “wait and see” approach to that, who knows? Maybe that will convince me that I still have a few more years in me as a wrestler?” I asked hypothetically before leaving the ring. ”Charlotte, why don’t you spar with your cousin for a bit? I’ve got a promo to do!”

”Sounds good, I’ll call you if anything comes up.” Krystal responded before she entered the ring to spar with Cass.

This will be interesting!

”So yeah, that thing I mentioned on Twitter? That I was going to announce on next week’s Climax Control? I won’t go into details but my presence in this week’s Main Event has forced me to put those plans on hold for now, and what a main event it is me, good old reliable Jessie Salco who’s been wrestling since some roster members were pre-teens, teaming with Matthew Knox in his first match as World Heavyweight Champion to take on the King for a Day Mark Cross and Levana Cade in a Mixed Tag Blazing Tables Match! Winning team is the one who puts an opponent through a table, blazing or not! Yeah, this is going to be interesting!”

To say the least.

”What do I think of my partner? Honestly? He’s a dick but at least Knox can get it done in the ring! But what I’m more curious about is Mark Cross’s game here, I mean, when was the last time that a king/queen for a day used their powers to not give themselves a title match on the show? Chrystal doesn’t count, she used her powers to secure herself a future title shot, but Mark isn’t even doing that! Let’s get started, shall we?”

Starting with the king.

”I’ll give you credit Mark because you’ve shown a lot more creativity than the usual King for a Day winner! Seriously, I looked at most of the matches on this card and I was wondering where the hell you came up with most of these ideas but you were at least constant in one thing with the other kings, you put yourself in a Main Event Match against the champ! Non-Title sure but I’m sure Knox will make you regret that choice one way or another.”

And now for Levana.

”I’d almost call Levana the queen in this match if Amber Ryan wasn’t on the same card! Anyway Levana, we meet again and the second time won’t be the charm for you! I’ll give you some credit for getting your act together and getting the win over Candy at Into the Void X but that’s where the praise ends because as talented as you are Levana, you still have a lot to learn and when you stand across the ring from me, school will be in session and if you didn’t learn anything from our first match, you’ll be in for a painful lesson!”

Seriously, why?

”There have been instances where I’ve wondered what the King/Queen for a Day winner was smoking when they came up with the matches and Mark? This is one of those instances because you’ve come up with some unique matches for this show! Will these matches find their way onto the Roulette Wheel someday? Probably, the bosses do like to keep the Roulette Division guessing, don’t they? But in this case, your choice will backfire on you Mark and Levana will be caught in the crossfire!”

It's that simple.

”On both sides we have wrestlers with wins over a member of the opposing team and the losers of those previous matches, Matthew Knox for me and Levana Cade for Mark, are looking to avenge those losses they suffered during the Greece Lightning Tour, unfortunately for you Levana Knox has something more than just a bruised ego to avenge because as the newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion he wants to show the men’s roster why he’s not a fluke champion! Mark Cross has every intention of denying Knox that chance but it’s not going to happen!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

”Because Mark is The Jester on the Throne, and everyone else on the roster realizes it! Don’t believe me? Just look at every other match this man has booked for his episode of Climax Control because he’s clearly gone made with power! Levana I almost feel sorry for you because you’ve been saddled with the mad king but it won’t be enough for me or Knox to consider going easy on you and when I strike you down like blood lightning Levana, Knox will expose the king for the jester he is! See you on Sunday!”

I returned to the ring to watch Cass and Krystal spar as the scene fades.

Jessie’s attempts at being the first one to defeat Masque in singles competition would end in failure as she would become her third victim and worse yet, the terrifying Bombshell was now the new Bombshell Internet Champion in a night that also saw Bill Barnhart’s Roulette Tittle reign end, however on the second stop of the Greek tour Jessie was getting a chance to get back in the drivers’ seat in her first match since the Masque one.

Her opponent was Levana Cade! The latest wrestler to graduate from the famed Go Gym, Levana came from out of nowhere alongside Jaycee McDonald to defy expectations and make it to the Semi-Finals of the Blast from the Past Tournament where they fell to eventual runners up Myra Rivers and Max Burke and Levana’s bad luck would continue during the Bombshell Gauntlet where she would be the second elimination, can Jessie get the win?

So yeah, this tour has been interesting already.

Sunday night’s Climax Control was one of the craziest nights I’ve seen since I joined SCW in 2012 and yes, that is saying something! I already know what my next match will be as I’m taking on the Go Gym Graduate Levana Cade in her first singles match since she joined the company during the last cycle and, well, it’s no secret that she and Jaycee McDonald came from out of nowhere to take the Blast from the Past Tournament by storm only just missing out of the finals in the process but I was set to be her first test as a singles competitor.

As for how I’ve felt since the match against Masque? I knew I had a tough match ahead of me going into that match and the fact that she was the one to dethrone Andrea Hernandez last night just reinforces that! Though it does make me question just who will be the one to dethrone Masque, or if anyone will even want to go after her once she’s done with Christina Rose but I guess Masque will cross that bridge when she comes to it.

I was heading out to grab something to eat when I spotted Adrienne and Katie outside of their hotel room, that shouldn’t be too alarming because their room was two doors down from mine with only Krystal’s room separating our rooms but it was the fact that they were carrying their luggage with them that caught my attention so I walked up to the two younger women.

”Going somewhere?” I asked them as I walked up to the duo and Katie looked up whilst Adrienne kept her head down. ”I mean, the Greek tour just started and you’re leaving already? It’s not like you work for another company like Ari.”

“We are heading back to Vegas Jessie.” Katie explained before Krystal came out of her room to see what was going on. “Adrienne needs some time to clear her head.”

”Okay but I don’t see why you couldn’t stay and do that here in Greece.” I commented with a confused look on my face before glancing over to Krystal as the Aussie walked up to us. ”And besides, you are a member of the SCW roster……..”

”Not anymore.” Adrienne chimed in as she finally turned towards us and I saw the look on the French girl’s face, to put it bluntly? She was miserable. ”I asked for my release at Climax Control and the bosses granted it, since I got left off the Blaze of Glory X card I’ve come to realize that my heart just isn’t in it anymore.”

”Adrienne, are you sure about this?” Krystal chimed in as she gave the red-head a sympathetic look. ”I know how much it sucks to get left off a card as big as Blaze of Glory but I was able to use it to motivate myself and the results speak for themselves.”

“It’s not that easy Krystal, your last match before Blaze of Glory X was a Double DQ draw to Char Kwan, Adrienne’s was a crushing loss to Masque.” Katie responded as she turned to us. “We’ll still be in the Las Vegas area and wherever Adrienne goes, I’ll follow, but that match did a serious number of her self confidence and getting left off the Blaze of Glory card was the straw that broke the camel’s back.”

”They can’t book everyone but I get it, you were probably hoping to at least get a chance to bounce back from your losing streak on the card, right?” I asked Adrienne and she hesitated before nodding. ”And just because you’re not on the roster doesn’t mean you’re not welcome at my home gym, I’ll see if I can talk to Keira about you getting in some reps at Hero Academy when that opens as well.”

”And I know this goes without saying but you are always welcome at the Go Gym, try not to forget that.” Krystal added and Adrienne nodded before they left without another word. ”I want to say that that was unexpected but I’d be lying, the other Go Gym graduates had noticed that Adrienne’s mental health was taking a turn for the worst.” Krystal commented with a sigh as she turned to me.

”Adrienne helped me prepare for my match against Masque at Inception V, I did pick up on some stuff like how she was comparing herself to you but I had no idea it was this bad.” I responded with a nod as I leaned against the wall. ”I guess that explains why Ari was able to sign that full time contract so soon after her win against Kaiju Rainbow.”

”Yeah, I guess, Ari has been wanting to move up to SCW for a while now but she didn’t want to leave Carter behind in SCU, I guess SCU’s closure forced her hand in that regard.” Krystal nodded in agreement as the Aussie folded her arms. ”I know there were comparisons between me and Adrienne when she debuted last November, foreign LGTBQ women who happen to be Go Gym Graduates and all, difference is my time on the indies helped me prepare for the pressure of competing on a big stage.”

”Whilst Adrienne’s SCW debut was her wrestling debut, in hindsight I’m surprised that she didn’t crumble sooner, still with her talent, especially at her age and experience level, she’ll get back on her feet, probably long before she returns to Vegas.” I sighed before frowning as I thought of something. ”And then there’s the timing of it all.”

”You mean your match against Levana, right?” Krystal asked and I nodded to confirm it. ”Don’t know what else I can tell you Jess but Levana is the latest wrestler to come through the Go Gym and you saw how well she did in Blast from the Past, she and Jaycee could’ve been finalists if they had faced Candy and Goth instead of Myra and Max.” Krystal added with a shrug as she made her way towards her hotel room. ”And then she bombed out in the Bombshell Gauntlet.”

”Sounds to me like there’s a common thread developing among the Go Gym Graduates lately, you, Adrienne and Levana especially.” I commented and Krystal gave me a curious look. ”They are all coming in with great expectations only for reality to slap them in the face, you had your losing streak followed by your Roulette Title reign and how that ended, Levana took the Blast from the Past Tournament by storm and Adrienne came in with the hype of being the latest graduate on SCW’s main roster.”

”Yeah and we saw how that ended for Adrienne, part of me wonders if she would’ve been better off starting in SCU like Ari did but then again, SCU is closing soon so that’s not really accurate.”  Krystal nodded as she got the idea. ”As it stands right now Adrienne had the worst run out of the three of us, but Levana still has a ton of momentum from Blast from the Past and I still have my win over Evie to hang up on my wall, really depends on whether Levana’s head is still in the game.”

”If it isn’t and she still thinks that she’s got an easy win based on my win/loss record, she’ll be in for another realty check.” I added before we returned to our rooms, in my case it was to watch Disney’s Hercules with Shane.

Is it sacrilegious to watch a film that takes a hatchet to the established Greek myth whilst staying in Greece? Maybe but it was still a damn good Disney movie!

Zante Island Tour, Zakynthos, Greece

When in Rome, do as Romans do, but when in Greece?

Yeah, that’s a long way around the fact that me, Jake, Shane, Francisco, Ari, Cassie, Makayla and Krystal are doing a land and sea tour of Zakynthos or Zante or whatever it’s called! Seriously is this place the Chrystal Hilton of the Greek Islands?

Not that I’m about to say that out loud! Not with two Greek women in my party with me!

We finished the land tour about half an hour ago and right now we’re doing the sea tour which was going to take us the rest of the day, Jake and Shane were sitting next to each other in the chair in front of me and Cassie was sitting in next to me leaving Makayla and Krystal to sit next to me.

”One million bottles of beer on the wall, one million bottles of beer, you take one down, pass it around……..” Cassie sung to herself silently (to the point where I couldn’t really tell if the wrestling trainee was a good singer or not) whilst clearly bored out of her mind. ”It would still be more interesting than this fucking tour!” Cassie grunted in frustration catching the attention of the other women on the tour, Jake and Shane did look up but they decided to leave it to us. ”Why, oh why didn’t I stay at the hotel?”

”You’ve been in your hotel room since we arrived in Zante.” Ari pointed out as she turned to Cass and the eighteen year old folded her arms. ”And you didn’t complain when we did that food tour last week!”

”That was a food tour so at least I got to enjoy some food!” Cassie protested and I had to admit, I was wondering if Cassie had ADHD that had gone undetected due to her weed use and, well, Greece’s laws on weed forcing her to go cold turkey for five weeks was bringing those problems to the forefront, off course I’m no shrink and it’s probably just a case of Cass being bored. ”But this has to be the most boring place I’ve ever seen and it’s supposedly a party island! I could’ve gone drinking with Fenris instead!”

”Cass you haven’t even tried alcohol yet because your still to young back home, if you got into a drinking contest with Fenris he’d leave you outside of me and Makayla’s hotel room after drinking you under the table after two rounds.” Makayla pointed out as she ran a hand down her face. ”And that’s IF you’re lucky!”

”In other words, you’d be better off trying to slam Tempest than trying to drink with Fenris.” Krystal chimed in and Cassie sighed in defeat. ”Just try to have a good time, okay?”

”Fine, but don’t be surprised if I keep complaining.” Cassie admitted defeat and I chuckled under my breath which Cassie caught on too. ”Something funny Jess?”

”Just the fact that you can’t seem to enjoy the view, Ari did pay good money to get us on this tour after all.” I pointed out and Cassie said nothing in response, there was part of me that was tempted to make the same old tired millennial joke that has been made on Social Media more times than I cared to count but I’d probably react the same way as Cass if I was on this tour when I was her age. ”Besides, it’ll be over before you know it.”

”I hope so!” Cass sighed in response and the rest of the tour passed without incident.

Local restaurant, Zante, Greece
Thursday the 7th of April 2022, 18:00pm

Another week’s almost over, then again when you’ve been in SCW for as long as I have, the weeks start to blend together after a while.

Still, I am enjoying my time in Greece in much the same way that I’ve enjoyed my time here the last few times SCW came to Greece even if I do need the occasional translator and/or English speaking local to help me order stuff when I’m eating out.

The past few times, I’ve had either Ari (whose Greek-American) or Makayla (whose Greek-Australian) helping me out with that but considering that this was a one on one date with my husband? Yeah we had to rely on an English speaking local this time around, and luckily for us there was an English speaker among the wait staff.

“Gotta say, I haven’t had that much exposure to Greek food aside from the other times that we’ve been to Greece with SCW.” Shane admitted after we had made our orders and the waiter went off to put our orders through. “But every time we come to Greece I can’t wait to try the local food.”

”Maybe we should look into some Greek metal festivals whilst we’re here.” I commented with a grin after taking a sip of my drink. ”Either that or look into moving here after I decide to hang up the wrestling boots for good.” I added and Shane gave me a surprised look. ”Something I said?”

“Just surprised to hear you talk about retirement Jess.” Shane commented before he shifted his weight. “I know your in your early thirties but Myra’s in her late thirties and still going strong.”

”Myra also wrestles a technical, grounded style, I’ve been wrestling the same high flying, hardcore style since I graduated from wrestling school at the age of eighteen.” I pointed out as I fixed my ponytail since there were still a few lose bangs hanging in front of my eyes. ”They call it high risk for a reason and sooner or later, my wrestling style will catch up with my body, I can’t keep doing this stuff forever.”

“That doesn’t mean you have to retire I mean hell there’s still plenty of stuff in SCW you haven’t done.” Shane pointed out as I glanced at the menu to try to decide on my main course. “What’s stopping you from just changing up your style?”

”The fact that the opportunities for a grand slam are getting slimmer, the Mixed Tag Titles are being deactivated and it’s becoming clearer by the day that the World Bombshell Title scene has passed me by.” I responded as I let out a deep breath. ”Right now the only conceivable goal I can achieve is the Hall of Fame and it’s up to Mark and Christian who gets inducted.”

“And let’s face it, you haven’t been on good terms with them for years, something that peaked during the entirety of 2018.” Shane pointed out and I nodded in agreement. “I mean hell, they inducted the Mean Girls before you!”

”Yeah, induct the group that almost reduced the Bombshell division to a laughing stock over the woman who’s been working her petite ass off since she arrived in the company and is fast approaching her tenth year anniversary of her debut for the company, makes perfect fucking sense to me!” I grumbled under my breath before shaking my head.

“There’s a chance that I’ll end up sleeping on the couch for saying this.” Shane admitted sheepishly and I gave him a raised eyebrow. “But it sounds like you’ve grown bitter.”

”Maybe I have, but I’ve definitely left the Bombshell Division in a better state than I found it in when I arrived in 2012!” I pointed out as we waited for our food. ”And with women like Myra, Andrea and Amber occupying the top of the food chain, rising stars like Kat Jones, Krystal, Masque Ari and newcomers like Kayla Richards and Levana Cade rising through the ranks? I’d say that the future of the Bombshell Division is in good hands.”

“And I doubt you’ll find many who’ll disagree with you.” Shane nodded in agreement as the waiter brought our food over. “But for now, let’s eat.”

”Let’s! And as for the couch thing, don’t worry, I’ll be sure to keep it nice and warm for you when we return to Vegas.” I teased Shane who shook his head with a chuckle before we dug in.

A tale of two Bombshells.

”I doubt there’s many current Bombshells who realize this, but for those who need a reminder, I’ve been in SCW for nearly ten years! Hell, I’ve been wrestling since certain roster members were toddlers at most! Does that make me feel old as fuck? Absolutely! But it does bring to mind a story I’ve heard from Ancient Greece, probably fictional since this is Ancient Greece we’re talking about let’s face it, the ancient sources aren’t always reliable but hear me out.”

I stated as I walked through the streets.

”An old man was wandering through the Olympic Games looking for a seat, every other Greek in attendance Jeered at him yet it was the Spartans, the feared warrior society famous for the battle of the 300, some who were younger, some who were older, who offered their seats to the old geezer! The crowd applauded but the Spartans knew that anyone who had been around as long as him deserved respect, something that I’ve been denied because if my win/loss record over the years in SCW! Don’t believe me? Ask our resident historian Mercedes Vargas! She might get some details wrong but she is generally on the money!”

And onto my point.

“That brings me to my next match in SCW were I find myself standing across the ring from a woman who probably would’ve jeered at me in the story I just told, Levana Cade!” I commented as I flipped some hair over my shoulder. ”Some say that Krystal Wolfe had a rookie year that most rookies would kill for but you Levana came close to surpassing that which makes sense when you consider that both you and Krystal are graduates of the World Famous Go Gym! You were this close to being the only rookie to ever win Blast from the Past, hell your team eliminated Amber Ryan’s team from the tournament! But then, you got eliminated in the semi-finals.”

I said as I shook my head.

”I acknowledge that there’s a lot that can be said for how the match between you and Jaycee and Amber and Hitamashi ended but picking up the win over the then World Bombshell Champion is no small feat regardless of how it came about! Hell, I even said on Twitter that regardless of how the rest of the tournament turned out, you and Jaycee were pretty much locks for Future Star of the Year but something happened between your Semi-Final match against Myra Rivers and Max Burke and the Bombshell Gauntlet at Blaze of Glory X. suddenly you went from the young Bombshell that everyone had their eyes on as a future champion to being unceremoniously eliminated from the Bombshell Gauntlet!”

Disappointing isn’t it?

”The only person who was eliminated from the Gauntlet faster than you Levana was Chloe Benton and let’s face it! She’s a sweetheart but she had no business being in that match and the fact that she set a new record for fastest elimination in SCW history in the process just makes her presence in that match stick out even more! So, to quote one of my favourite YouTube channels, What Happened?  Were you still feeling the sting of coming so close to the Blast from the Past Finals only to fall at the final hurdle? I’ve seen it happen way too many times since I joined the company Levana and it’s never a pretty site!”

What am I talking about!

”And no, this phenomenon doesn’t care how pretty the wrestler in question is! You are the latest in a long line of young wrestlers who enter the company with high hopes and dreams only to feel the cold slap of reality before long! It happened to Krystal Wolfe and she’s been thriving since she got over that hump, it happened to Adrienne Beaufort and she left because the pressure was affecting her mental health! It’s no coincidence that I’m using two of your fellow Go Gym Graduates as examples here Levana so it begs the question, doesn’t it? Will you come back and thrive like Krystal? Or will you crumble under the pressure like Adrienne?”

As I walked down the streets I spotted young Greek couple sporting SCW Merchandise (a Jessie Salco t-shirt on the woman and a Ben Jordan shirt on the guy) and they stopped me upon recognizing me.

“Hey aren’t you Jessie Salco?” The woman asked upon recognizing me from her top (and obviously watching SCW) and I nodded as I turned to face them. “Can we get your autograph?”

”Off course!” I responded as they got a pen and paper out and I took it from them. ”Who am I making this out too?”

“Elena and Jason.” The guy responded and I signed their autographs without a second thought. “We’re looking forward to your match against Levana on Sunday.”

”Really? I never would’ve guessed.” I joked whilst motioning to Elena’s top and they laughed in response. ”What are your thoughts on my opponent?”

“Levana did great in the Blast from the Past Tournament but since then she’s crashed and burned.” Elena responded with a shrug and Jason nodded in agreement. “We’re not sure what happened to her.”

“I didn’t mind, I always thought that she came off as way to arrogant, like Krystal when she was with Matthew and Marty but turned up to eleven.” Jason chimed in and now that I thought about it that was accurate as fuck. “I hope to see you beat some humility into her, after all you’ve been in SCW for so long that you’ve seen it all and probably done it all.”

”Not as much as I’d like but I have, haven’t I? As for beating some humility into her? Well, we’ll see about that, won’t we?” I asked them and they nodded before they walked off and I resumed my promo. ”That calls to mind the story I mentioned earlier in the promo, about the old man and the Spartans, so many young wrestlers want respect without earning it when I’ve earned it through my years of hard work in service to the SCW brand, you had a great run in Blast from the Past Levana, but that only tales up one part of the year, it’s what you do throughout the rest of the year that ultimately counts!”

It's the sad truth really.

”Your SCW Career so far can basically be summed up as this Levana, expectation vs. reality, after you defied everyone’s expectations by not only making it past the first round but beating Amber Ryan along the way, you felt the cold, hard slap of reality when you lost in the Semi-Finals and you haven’t been the same since! Hell, you were the favourite to win the Bombshell Gauntlet based purely on your Blast from the Past performance and we all saw how that ended for you, it’s almost like you haven’t recovered from that setback, isn’t it Levana?”

It's that simple.

”When we step into the ring for our match on Sunday Levana, I don’t want the Levana Cade who got eliminated from the Bombshell Gauntlet almost as quickly as Chloe Benton, I want the Levana Cade who nearly took the Blast from the Past Tournament by storm and won the thing from out of nowhere because at least I know that Levana Cade will give me a fight worthy of the Bombshell Division! I don’t know where that Levana has gone but you had better find her fast if you want a chance at winning this match because she must be shaking her head in embarrassment at sharing the same name and body as the Levana who let herself get eliminated that easily, but tell me Levana, what would that Levana say if you lost to the Bombshell with the worst win/loss record in SCW?”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

”Would she be like the jeering Greeks? Mocking you for losing to an older, wiser opponent who happened to have such an abysmal record? Or would she be like the Spartans? Respecting me for being an old soldier and getting the better of her younger opponent? There’s only one way that question can be answered and that’s to step into the ring with Jessie Salco because this old soldier still has a few tricks left up her sleeve and when I strike you down like Blood Lightning, who will the Greeks jeer at then? The old soldier Jessie Salco? Or the young upstart Levana Cade? I’ll see you in the ring!”

I returned to my hotel room as the scene fades.

Jessie would end up losing her Internet Title Match to Andrea Hernandez leaving the veteran wondering where she was going to go from here, that question would soon be answered as she was competing in the Main Event of Climax Control 322 taking on Diamond Steele! Diamond had tried to lay claim to a shot at Krystal Wolfe’s Bombshell Roulette Title which was a lot easier since Krystal was now out of the Blast from the Past Tournament, however the bosses wanted Diamond to earn that shot and they booked her against Jessie.

However, there was a twist! Jessie and Diamond would go one on one in the second ever Rock and Roll Death Match! What was a Rock and Roll Death Match? Well, it was a regular Death Match but periodically rock music would play over the speakers and Jessie and Diamond would have to dance to the music! No, we’re not kidding and this was apparently the invention of Christian Underwood! Can Jessie get her first win of the year?

Sunday the 4th of February 2022, 23:00pm

Well, tonight was interesting to say the least.

From the destruction of The Troll and Chloe Benton to Krystal being knocked out of round one of the Blast from the Past Tournament and losing by submission to Sam no less this tournament’s definitely taking an unexpected turn and the next week of action was going to be interesting to say the least, especially with both Keira and Diamond Steele trying to lay claim to a shot at Krystal’s title so yeah, tonight was a game changer in terms of how the tournament was going to go.

At least Krystal can focus her attention fully on the Roulette Title now.

But me? I was just waiting for a chance to get back in the winner’s circle following my loss to Andrea at Inception V and right now I didn’t care how long that took and, wait is that Krystal I hear?

[font color=#00FFFF]”You told me that your training would get my past round one of the tournament!”[/font] I heard the Aussie arguing with someone and when I rounded the corner I realized that she was arguing with Matthew and Marty, the reason was clear as day to boot. [font color=#00FFFF]”Instead, any momentum I had from my win over Keira went out the window with my place in the tournament and now I’m back to where I began the last cycle!”[/font]

“Krystal, you will get there eventually but this will take time!” Matthew tried to assure his client with neither of the three realising that I was approaching them. “There’s always next year!”

[font color=#00FFFF]”Next year?! I hired you to, among other things, get me to the next level but all you’ve done is undermine me and I’m no closer to the next level!”[/font] Krystal grunted as she folded her arms. [font color=#00FFFF]”If this trend continues to the next cycle or hell, if I lose the Bombshell Roulette Title before I reach three hundred days, I may just start looking for new managers!”[/font]

“Krystal please don’t be hasty!” Marty tried to calm her down but having been in the Aussie’s situation myself way too many times to count, I knew it wasn’t going to work. “At least think of Cassandra’s future as our trainee?”

[font color=#00FFFF]”You mean the same trainee who I had to use an ultimatum to get you to expel a bully of hers? The same trainee who you told to wait outside the arena in February until an unspecified point?”[/font] Krystal countered and I glanced over my shoulder before spotting Keira nearby having heard the argument herself. [font color=#00FFFF]”You realize that she just texted me to say that the security guards won’t let her into the arena because she’s still eating that food from Wendy’s right?”[/font]

“I sincerely hope it’s not the same Baconator because that burger is undoubtedly cold by now!” Matthew pointed out whilst missing the point entirely and Krystal just stormed off to another part of the arena, Matthew and Marty shared a look before leaving in a separate direction and I motioned to Keira to follow me as we went after the Bombshell Roulette Champion.

[font color=#cyan]”FUCKING BULLSHIT!”[/font] I heard Krystal yell out in frustration and anger as she kicked at the wall and yeah, she was reminding me of myself when I was her age in so many ways that it wasn’t funny, off course Krystal was having a much more successful Bombshell Roulette Title reign than any of mine but that’s beside the point. [font color=#00FFFF]”Why the hell did I hire those idiots in the first place.”[/font]

”As I recall, you hired them to take you to the next level, but it’s not working out, is it?” I asked as me and Keira approached the younger Bombshell who flipped us off in response. ”Great way to greet your friends who are just trying to help!”

”If you want to help then leave me the fuck alone Jess!” Krystal responded with a grunt as she ran a hand through her hair. ”Matthew and Marty should consider themselves lucky that Amber’s match was the only title match tonight, otherwise they’d be out of a job!”

“Krystal you bounced back from your setbacks in the last cycle, and you’ll bounce back again.” Keira interjected as she stepped forward and Krystal turned to her one-time challenger, possibly two time if things continued the way they had been tonight. “Maybe you’ll get booked again next week!”

”Or maybe I’ll just go ahead and cost Sam her spot in the tournament? Not like the world needs another Sam Marlowe title reign!” Krystal grunted in response and me and Keira shared the same shocked look when Krystal said that. ”Or maybe even hope that some other Bombshell in the tournament gets injured and they call on me to take her place, like they did with Mark Cross and Ruby Steele in last year’s tournament!””

“Okay, now I know that’s not you saying that!” Keira insisted whilst I got a text on my iPhone. “Wishing injuries on your co-workers? Plotting to cost Sam her spot because she beat you? Your better than this Krystal!”

”Am I? That bitch is already planning on going after the Bombshell Roulette Title, and it’s not like her presence in the tournament will be missed!” Krystal grunted in response before I spotted her cousin Cass approaching us and tried to alert Krystal. ”All I know is that Sam has my spot in the quarter finals and if I can’t have it, neither can Sam!”

”I can’t believe you!” Cassie’s distraught voice rang out and Krystal’s head snapped up as her cousin on the verge of tears rounded the corner. ”What happened to being gracious in defeat huh?” Cassie demanded before she stormed off.

”Cass, wait!” Krystal called out to her cousin but she was long gone by that point, Krystal grunted in annoyance as she ran her hands through her hair. ”God fucking damn it, can I get anything right tonight?!” Krystal added before she went after Cass but Keira blocked her way. ”Get out of my way Keira!”

“And let you say more things that you’re going to regret? You need to calm down Krystal!” Keira responded sternly and Krystal let out several deep breaths as I went over next week’s card. “Fight me.”

”Excuse me?!” Krystal demanded after she did a double take and I glanced up, she had used the same tactic against me before, when I lost the Bombshell Roulette Title to Johanna Krieger and rather than being added to the Roulette Title Match I was put in a nothing match against Violet instead. ”Keira, you know I’ve had boxing training right?” Krystal asked as Keira got into a fighting stance and the older Bombshell nodded before I went through the rest of the card.

“I don’t care, you need to cool down before we go find your cousin and fighting me is the best option!” Keira responded and before I knew it, they were trading blows and all I needed was a bag of popcorn.

Though to be honest, I’m glad I didn’t have said popcorn because I would’ve choked on it upon seeing the Main Event of next week’s show. ”What the actual fuck? Are they fucking serious?!” I exclaimed causing Keira and Krystal to break off their fight and glance up at me. ”Check next week’s card, they just sent it out.” I instructed the other two Bombshells and Keira and Krystal got their phones out.

And they had the same reaction as me when they saw the Main Event. ”You’re in a Rock N’ Roll Death Match against Diamond?! And when the hell did the first one take place?!”

“If I remember correctly, it was from that time Caleb Storms challenged Griffin Hawkins for the Roulette Title.” Keira shrugged her shoulders before she turned to me. “How are your dancing skills?”

”What dancing skills? I’m a Mosher! The last time I had a proper dance was when I got married to Shane and I kept apologizing for stepping on his feet!” I responded as I shook my head and Keira and Krystal shared an amused look. ”Good thing it’s not an actual dance competition!”

”Yeah, I think the scores would’ve gone into the negatives for you.” Krystal nodded before she turned to Keira. ”We’d better go find Cass.”

“Good idea, I doubt she got far.” Keira nodded before we went off to find Cass, it didn’t take us long to find Cass and once Krystal apologized things were back to normal between the two cousins.

But me? What exactly WAS normal this week!

Monday the 7th of February 2022, 18:00pm

Same shit, different week.

Now that this week’s card has been made public I’ve been training about as hard as I can for the match against Diamond on Sunday, on the surface this is about me getting back in the winner’s circle after my loss to Andrea at Inception V but I do have another goal in mind.

Namely keeping Diamond out of the title picture, namely Krystal’s title picture, and speaking of which she has just shown up.

”Cass will be down in a sec, Shane’s letting her raid the fridge.” Krystal explained as she descended down the basement stairs whilst I was working out on the weight machine. ”She was smoking pot when I picked her up from the PTA Gym so yeah, she’s got the munchies.”

”Surprised that they are tolerating her drug usage.” I commented with a frown as I leaned on the hand weights. ”I know there’s a world of difference between crack and pot in terms of what it does to your body, but I remember my trainers kicking out a student because they caught him smoking pot.”

”Was he doing pot before or after the sessions?” Krystal asked with a frown and I could only shrug because of how far back that was. ”Cassie’s status as a pot smoker is basically an open secret, Cyrus has told her that as long as she doesn’t get high before a sparring match there won’t be a problem and considering that she’s the best student, I’m not sure if they want to do anything to her that would impede her training.”

”That and weed is a lot more tolerated these days compared to when I was a trainee.” I responded with a shrug before standing up and heading towards the ring. ”Did you get a chance to chat with Matthew and Marty?” I asked and Krystal shook her head.

”Cass was outside the building when she was smoking, and I was going to avoid them anyway.” Krystal explained and I nodded in response. ”Things are way to heated between us right now but we should have everything sorted out by Climax Control.” Krystal added before the door opened and we saw Cass making her way down the stairs. ”You satisfied your cravings yet?”

”For now, yeah! Shane’s snacks were tasty.” Cass responded with a nod as she made her way down the stairs and joined us in the home gym. ”And don’t you have something to say to Jess?”

”Am I really being told to apologize by my eighteen year old cousin?!” Krystal asked with an annoyed look on her face and Cass reinforced her point by poking Krystal in the side. ”FINE! I’m sorry for snapping at you at last night’s Climax Control Jess!” Krystal grunted before getting poked by Cass again. ”AND planning to cost Sam her spot in BFTP! Satisfied Cass?””

”For now, yeah, so who’s up first?” Cass asked and I could still smell the weed on her breath so I gave her a knowing look. ”Krystal is up first? Does my breath stink of weed that much?”

”I could probably smell it from the ring, it’s that strong! Head back upstairs Jake should have some breath mints for you.” I instructed the young rookie and Cass nodded before she raced up the stairs to the basement. ”Ready when you are Krystal!” I added and Krystal nodded before we rolled into the ring.

Monday the 7th of February 2022, 20:00pm

That was a good two hours, but I guess it’s time to let the young pup play.

I don’t know if it was leftover frustration from the events of last night’s Climax Control or something else but Krystal was definitely a lot more aggressive in her sparring, was it still a good workout? Yeah but it was also good to get any potential frustration out of her system, and now it was Cassie’s turn and the young rookie was eager to get in the ring after watching me and her cousin go at it for a couple of hours.

”Don’t get me wrong, I could watch you and Krystal go at it all day.” Cassie commented as she stepped into the ring and Krystal left the ring before taking up a spot at ringside. ”But it was getting pretty late and I do have a date scheduled for tomorrow morning.”

”Hope that date goes well but at least try to focus.” I told Cass as we started to spar and, well, what do you expect me to say? She’s as green as the weed she smokes but Cass is a natural in the ring and keeps getting better every time we spar. ”But do try to focus on the match, are you dating a guy or a girl? I know you said that you wanted to play the field.”

”Girl this time, last date was with a guy.” Cass responded before we continued training with Krystal watching on. ”He was a total bore, just ask Krystal because it was a double date with her and Makayla.”

”It’s been a couple of years since I last dated a guy but I’m still not sure why Cass thought he’d be a good fit for her, eventually we all mutually agreed that it wasn’t going to work out between them and he left.” Krystal chimed in with a shrug as she watched us train. ”He was at least a decent enough guy to leave us enough money to cover his part of the bill, was unnecessary because I’ve saved up a lot of money from being the Bombshell Roulette Champion for under a year but still.”

”He’ll probably find the right person for him eventually.” I responded with a nod as me and Cass continued to train, off course given her inexperience Cass was mostly playing catchup with me but training is training. ”Any idea what you’re going to do for Climax Control?”

”I might see if the bosses will indulge me in holding an open challenge for the Bombshell Roulette Title at Climax Control three hundred and twenty three, I’m at least guaranteed to make it to two hundred and seventy three days as champion.” Krystal responded with a shrug as she leaned on the ring apron. ”But that depends on the events of Climax Control three hundred and twenty two I guess.”

”Or more specifically, the Main Event between me and Diamond.” I surmised and Krystal nodded as Cass took a brief break from the sparring session. ”In other words it falls to me to keep that idiot out of your hair.”

”Well if you need help, you know where to find me, dance breaks or not, it’s still a death match so it’s not like you’d get disqualified.” Krystal responded and I nodded before me and Cass resumed our training.

PTA Gym Promo Class, Las Vegas, Nevada

What the actual hell?

“Lizzie Short here ready to interview Jessie about this rather……..unique matchup.” Lizzie introduced me as I sat down in front of Cass and the other trainees, it was part promo class and part actual promo and well, it was as good an excuse as any. “Jessie you are competing in this week’s Main Event in a Rock N’ Roll Death Match against Diamond Steele, how are you preparing for this match?” Lizzie asked and I cleared my throat.

”How the fuck do you think? The same way I always do, by training my ass off as a wrestler!” I responded as I shifted my weight. ”I don’t know if I’ve made this clear yet but I am not a dancer nor do I pretend to be, the last time I danced was at my wedding and I kept apologizing to Shane for stepping on his feet throughout our first dance! The way I figure it, as long as the bosses don’t expect me to dance with Diamond there won’t be any problems.”

“That’s not something I thought I’d hear during a promo but let’s move on.” Lizzie responded as she moved on to the next question. “What was your reaction to the stipulation for the match between you and Diamond?”

”I literally exclaimed “are they fucking serious?!” and then started to wonder what Christian Underwood was smoking when he came up with this idea!” I responded with a scoff before motioning to Cass with my head. ”I don’t think he was sharing any of Cass’s stash at least, otherwise he’d have spent all day in the cafeteria! But here’s what I do know, my job on Sunday is to ensure that Diamond doesn’t get another shot at Krystal and I am more than up to the task from a wrestling standpoint, from a dancing standpoint? I’ve already explained that!”

“One last thing before I leave you to the rest of your promo, Diamond said that she was a member of the legendary Metal and Punk Connection team, can you elaborate on that?” Lizzie asked and I frowned before nodding.

”Diamond was a member at two specific points, during the dying days of the group and when I attacked Christina at her behest and even then it was as an honorary member.” I explained before my frown deepened. ”And neither of them lasted long! As I said, Diamond originally joined right as me and Amy were splitting off to focus on our singles careers and the second time around her membership was rescinded after she attacked Belinda, Diamond can claim otherwise all she wants but the fact remains that this isn’t a clash of the Metal and Punk Connection, that’s already happened between me and Amy several times over, including a best of three for the Bombshell Roulette Title which I won I might add!”

“Well, I don’t think I’ve got anything to add to that, the floor’s all yours Jess.” Lizzie informed me and I nodded before I got started on my promo.

”If there is a contact sport weirder than wrestling, I’d love to see it! All too often the rules are thrown out the window for a big match, a big part of SCW’s Roulette Division is decided on the whims of a Roulette Wheel, hell I competed in a food fight for the World Bombshell Championship last year.” I commented before shaking my head. ”But my match on Sunday might just top them all! A Rock N’ Roll Death Match between me and Diamond Steele is serving as this week’s Main Event, what are the rules of the match? It’s basically an ultraviolent musical statues! But with dancing instead of standing still for a few seconds, again, are they fucking serious?!”

But I digress.

”Diamond, Kate, whatever your fucking name is, this isn’t our first meeting and it probably won’t be our last, though it like WILL be our last in this damn match type!” I commented with a grunt as I leaned back. ”All it took was one fluke win over the Bombshell Roulette Champion Krystal Wolfe and suddenly you think you can just demand title shots against her just like that? The same thing I was chastised for several years ago albeit with the World Bombshell Title? My job on Sunday couldn’t be clearer, it’s to beat you and keep you out of the Bombshell Roulette Champion’s hair! And since Krystal happens to be a good friend of mine, it’s a job that I’m taking very seriously!”

Why wouldn’t I?

”But then again, if I hated Krystal’s guts then I’d still take this job seriously! Well as seriously as I can in between the fucking dance breaks!” Seriously, why? ”I’ve already mentioned that I’m a bad dancer and if the dancing is somehow factoring into how the match will play out then you definitely have the advantage but I’d like to think that the bosses haven’t lost all their marbles yet and as a result, I doubt that it’ll play that big a part if you ask me!”

At least I hope not.

”So what’s there left to say? Not a lot, but I can describe how I’m going to beat you senseless on Sunday!” I added as I folded my arms. ”Because once you set aside the dumb as fuck dance break stipulation this is a hardcore match through and through which means that I can basically beat the shit out of you using whatever I can get my hands on and trust me Diamond, you won’t be able to show your bruised and battered face once all is said and done!”

It's that simple.

”I sincerely hope that the rest of the band is watching closely as I beat the shit out of you Diamond, even if Emerald has to take five minutes out of her busy schedule of eating out Adrienne Beaufort!” I added getting a few laughs and giggles from the students. ”Because that should be more than enough to tell them to not mess with me or Krystal but just in case that doesn’t deliver the message loud and clear, then I’ll find a way to make it louder for the idiots in the back!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

”And trust me Diamond, you don’t want me to do that! And on Sunday night when I beat you from pillar to post, maybe Krystal will finally get a challenger who people can buy as being the end of her reign who isn’t called Keira Fisher but I guess we’ll have to wait and see on that! In the meantime, Diamond you may want to rock and roll all night and party everyday but I have something else in mind.” I commented as I shifted my weight. ”Don’t worry, I won’t keep you in suspense because it involves you being struck like Blood Lightning courtesy of Jessie Salco!”

The promo class/promo ended and I stood up to leave as the scene fades.

Jessie’s match against Keira did not go as planned, but it didn’t end in defeat either, rather Keira inadvertently caused a double count out after hitting Jessie with a spear on the outside and whilst Krystal was able to get the win over Mercedes the tag match against Team Hero was still looming in the distance and with Roxi now taking on Kat Jones at Inception V this match now carried implications for all four women at the Supercard, who will come out the winners?

Backstage at Climax Control 319, Tucson, Arizona
Sunday the 12th of December 2021, 22:00pm

If you had told me that the events of the past two Climax Controls would’ve happened, I think I would’ve called you crazy!

I’m not kidding either, winning a Contendership Match but beating Alicia Lukas, Dani Weston and Seleana Zdunich last week was one thing, but fighting Keira Fisher-Johnson to a double count out draw tonight was another thing entirely and I still have two big matches coming up.

The first of those big matches would be really obvious, the championship match between me and Andrea Hernandez at Inception V next month was set in stone the moment I got the three count on Seleana after hitting her with the Circle Pit, but that wasn’t the only match that was set in stone that night! Tonight’s draw was a prelude to a Tag Team Match between me and the Bombshell Roulette Champion Krystal Wolfe and Team Hero that probably would’ve been the Main Event if not for the fact that Amber Ryan and Alex Jones are defending their respective titles on the Christmas Show.

So yeah, I’m ending 2021 with a bang to say the least! But there’s one thing I can’t get out of my mind.

”Did that bitch really just use my own words against me?” I muttered to myself as I sat in the back, watching Andrea Hernandez cut her promo from her skybox, because off course that bitch has her own Skybox, I was watching a replay after the show ended because I had missed most of it due to me being knocked out by the spear that caused the draw against Keira which was not how I wanted the match to end, hell if it was a time limit draw I could at least brush off her words but because of Keira’s mistake neither of us could make it back into the ring to break the double count-out and now we were heading into the Christmas Show with two thirds of the wresters not having any momentum, Krystal could at least get that momentum back if she beats Mercedes later that night but that was yet to come. ”Do better, Myra made me ate my words at High Stakes XI, and I’ll make Andrea eat her words next month!”

”Is this a bad time to offer you more cake?” I looked up and saw the young French Bombshell Adrienne Beaufort offering me a slice of the cake that she had baked for Krystal’s celebration, and no, I don’t know how a chocolate and gold cake survived the Arizona heat long enough to make it into a sports arena and by eaten by a bunch of wrestlers and non-wrestling staff like Belinda and Jason. ”Or are you wound up from Andrea’s promo?”

”Any other time I’d say yes because I don’t like having my own words used against me!” I grumbled under my breath before I took the cake from Adrienne because, well, the red-head Bombshell can cook and bake, anyone who had tried her food wouldn’t deny that. ”But I’ll make an exception for this cake, I’m not even that much into sweet things but this is so good, I’m making an exception!”

”Thanks, I guess!” Adrienne laughed in response before Krystal came up to us, her title over her shoulder. ”I guess I’ll see you next week.”

”See you next week.” I called back to the French Bombshell as she walked off, once Adrienne was out of earshot I turned to the older Go Gym Graduate. ”Everything set to go? I think we’d better get back to the hotel soon so that we’re in Vegas so that we want to start training for the Team Hero match.”

”That’s the plan, but there’s a bit of a problem.” Krystal admitted as she folded her arms, and I gave the Aussie a confused look. ”Remember when I told you about my family? Well, it probably won’t surprise you that I have family of my mother’s side that I keep in contact with.”

”No, I figured as much, but why? Did someone from her side of the family turn out as bad as Kirsty?” I asked, and Krystal shook her head with an annoyed look on her face. ”Good, I was beginning to wonder if you were going to have another mouth to feed.”

”Not to mention another hand to stroke Garrus, but no, it’s nothing that drastic, I have a little cousin called Cassie, on my mother’s side like I said, she moved to the US with her family back in August and has started training to be a wrestler.” Krystal explained, and I had to admit, that one caught me by surprise. ”At Matthew’s training facility.” Krystal added, and it was at that point that I caught on.

”Well, it’s not like the Go Gym is the only training facility in town.” I responded with a shrug and Krystal nodded. ”How old is Cassie? Height? Weight? Any athletic background?”

”Same age as Adrienne, 5ft 3, 118ibs, though the last I spoke to her, she hadn’t taken up any sports after leaving school.” Krystal responded as she shook her head. ”To be honest I hadn’t really spoken to Cassie, so I moved stateside, I just assumed that she was still living in Greenock which is a small town just under an hour way from Adelaide, in the Barossa Valley?”

”That’s the place where Australia’s wines are produced, right?” I asked, and Krystal nodded in response. ”How did you learn about Cassie’s training anyway?”

”She called me while you were watching Andrea’s promo, she seemed excited to tell me that she had started training but I can’t help but find it convenient that a relative of mine who I haven’t spoken too in years suddenly starts training at Matthew’s gym right after I have a public argument with Carter on TV.” Krystal explained and when she put it like that, it did seem suspicious. ”I’ll be visiting Matthew’s school on Wednesday to chat with her, your welcome to come along if you want.”

”I think I will, I’m curious to see if she is serious about this or just trying to cash in on her cousin’s success.” I responded with a nod before I started to walk off. ”By the way, what are we doing for hype work again? I know you’ve got that guest spot on that radio station in Las Vegas, KKLZ right?”

”That’s the one, I know you’ll be busy training but try to get a call in so we can find some way to collab on a promo, the station is letting me conduct a promo whilst I’m there.” Krystal responded, and I nodded whilst making a mental note of that. ”And on Wednesday Night we’re doing the first episode of Denzel Porter’s new show called First Count, not counting Autograph Signings and the like we’re not doing much outside of those appearances.”

”Got it, see you tomorrow.” I responded with a nod before I walked off.

Tonight’s events had left me with a lot on my mind, especially in regard to whether I was ready for Andrea or not, but one thing was for sure and that that me and Krystal were ready for Team Hero next Sunday.

Whether Team Hero was ready for us was the real question off course.

Prime Time Associates HQ, Las Vegas, Nevada
Wednesday the 15th of December 2021, 16:00pm

This week has flown by, even with the radio call in interview on Monday but me. Krystal and Ariana (who had been filled in on the situation) are here at Matthew’s HQ to visit Krystal’s cousin as she trained.

I still had my doubts about this chick but if she’s even half the natural in the ring as Krystal, Adrienne and Ariana are then who knows? Maybe she’ll have a bright future, but if you asked me that was a big if.

As we entered the training facility we could hear the tell tale signs of the training school but from what we could see, only one of the rings was being used by women and we headed straight too it.

”So, do you see her?” I asked Krystal as we approached the ring and nodded before motioning to the ring, it didn’t take me long to figure out that her cousin was one of the trainees in the ring. ”Which one is she?”

”Cassie’s the one with the dark hair, tattoos and pierced navel.” Krystal explained as we made ourselves comfortable before watching the two trainees spar and honestly? Cassie was obviously inexperienced, but she was already moving so fluid in the ring that I’d probably mistake her for another Go Gym Graduate, her opponent was less fluid in the ring, but she was a larger girl, so it made some sense at least, once Cyrus called off the spar match to let other trainees have a go Krystal called out to Cassie. ”Hey Cous, over here!” Krystal called out and Cassie’s head snapped up when she heard her cousin’s voice.

”Krystal? Hey!” The young Australian woman reacted happily before leaving the ring and heading straight over to us. ”Long time no see, right?”

”I’ll say, the last time I saw you, you were still a preteen!” Krystal responded with a slight laugh as the two women slapped hands together. ”Since when did you have any interest in sports? Or lived in the US for that matter?”

”Maybe we should discuss the details over dinner, but my family felt like it was time for a change in scenery we moved out here in August.” Cassie offered, and we nodded in understanding. ”And, well, after seeing your success Krystal I figured that I may as well give it a shot.”

”You’re hoping to cash in on your cousin’s success in other words or am I wrong?” I asked bluntly, and Cassie turned to me. ”Plus the timing off that call was rather suspect wasn’t it? You telling Krystal that you had enrolled in Matthew’s gym right after she had a major spat with one of her fellow Go Gym Graduates?”

”Honestly? I didn’t even think about the timing off it all until after the call ended.” Cassie admitted with a shrug as she turned to me. ”And I’ll admit, it does look like I’m trying to cash in on Krystal’s success, but I’ve been a wrestling fan longer than either her or Makayla, I only made the decision last year to enrol in a wrestling school and that was right around the time of her debut.”

”So, why the wait?” Ariana chimed in with a curious look on her face. ”And Krystal said that you moved to the US in August, surely there’s wrestling schools in Australia?”

“Ladies, I understand you want to catch up, but we do have a school to run.” Cyrus chimed in and we turned to the larger man. “You can take five anyway Cassie, we’ll text you when it’s your turn.” Cyrus added and we nodded before we walked off.

Local café, Las Vegas, Nevada
Wednesday the 15th of December 2021, 17:00pm

Once Cassie had gotten changed into her street clothes we met her outside the Prime Time Associates HQ and then took her to a café the I knew did cheap but good food and we found ourselves sitting across from her and yeah, the good looks of all four of the women at this table had turned a few male heads in our direction as we sat down which did raise some questions, like how this was still a thing post MeToo!

As for the café itself? I’ve honestly lost count of the number of times I’ve been to this café since I moved to Vegas, but this was the first time in a while that I was dining with this many people, at least Krystal was footing the bill by dipping into the extra funds that being a champion for this long allowed her.

”Sorry about Cyrus, he tries to run a tight ship when he’s in charge of the training for the day.” Cassie apologized once we were sat down, and we nodded in understanding as she looked at the menu. ”Doesn’t help that I’m the baby of the bunch I guess!”

”Yeah, I’ve been there, though since Adrienne graduated I’m no longer the baby of the bunch among the Go Gym Graduates.” Ariana admitted with a shrug as she looked over the menu. ”Speaking off, if you wanted to follow Krystal into wrestling why didn’t you enroll in the Go Gym like she did?”

”I wanted too but the funds had been tight since my family moved to the US so I was given a choice, either wait a year or two and apply for the Go Gym once the money situation is more stable or enroll at a cheaper gym, I think it’s obvious which one I went for.” Cassie responded with a sigh and that raised some red flags in my head, her family had enough money to move her halfway across the world but not enroll her in one of the best wrestling schools in the country? Something was up. ”On the off chance that wrestling doesn’t work out I’ve been studying IT at a community college, so I’ve got that going for me at least.”

”Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. Considering your experience level, you were very good from what little I saw.” Krystal complemented her, and Cassie grinned warmly in response, but I could tell from the look on Krystal’s face that she was thinking the same thing. ”But you realize that you would’ve had an in on the Go Gym if you had just asked me right? I’m one of the most successful Go Gym Graduates on the SCW Roster right now after all!”

”Maybe but I wanted to make my own path in wrestling, rather than rely on my cousin’s fame.” Cassie admitted honestly, and I could see where she was coming from with that, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to it. ”Don’t know what I’m going to do when I do graduate but it’s been a hell of a ride so far.”

”It usually is.” I responded with a grin and after a while, Cassie excused herself to use the bathroom and I used that opportunity to turn to the others. ”Tell me there wasn’t enough red flags to cover the strip twice over popping up in your heads as well?”

”Sadly no, I want my little cousin to succeed but it’s clear as day to me that she’s being taken advantage off.” Krystal responded with a sigh as she leaned back. ”Either by her family or Matthew, Ari was right in that there are plenty of schools back in Australia and the only reason I chose to train at the Go Gym all those years ago was because Odette was running the school, she was one of my favourites when I first started watching SCW, err no offence Jess.”

”None taken, what about you Ari?” I asked Ari and she turned to me.

”I want the best for her, don’t get me wrong, because she seems like a nice girl, but you guys are right on the money, something fishy is going on here.” Ariana sighed reluctantly, and we nodded in agreement. ”Maybe you guys can help train her on the side? Get her away from Matthew and his pals and try to get her to see that she’s being manipulated?”

”I doubt Gabriel will let one of Matthew’s trainees use the Go Gym so our best bet will probably be my home gym.” I nodded in agreement before chuckling to myself. ”Though between her, you Krystal and Adrienne, I may as well start running a school out of my basement! Or at the very least be an associate member of the Go Gym given how often I’ve helped Krystal and Adrienne.”

”Katie was able to get Caleb trained at the Go Gym for his last match against Fenris so nothing’s impossible, especially if we get footage of her training.” Krystal pointed out before a waitress came over to take our orders, once we told her that Cassie was in the lady’s room she nodded before taking our drinks orders and left. ”Regardless of who’s currently training her, Gabriel and Odette have always had eyes for talent, just look at all the champions the Gym had produced since it opened.”

”Well, here’s our chance to ask her now.” I responded as I pointed to Cassie returning to our table and she sat down. ”Cassie, how serious you about pursuing this wrestling career?”

”You’re kidding right? I moved across the world to start my training! Why?” Cassie asked, and we shared a look before I made the offer, it took her a moment to process it but once she did she nodded enthusiastically. ”A chance to train with a multi-time champion and my cousin? How could I say no!”

”Glad to hear it, Krystal can show you the way, right?” I asked Krystal and she nodded without hesitation.

After that the rest of the meal went by quickly, but it left me conflicted, at first I wanted to curtail Matthew’s influence on Krystal before it was too late but now her eighteen year old cousin was in the mix? It made things complicated, hopefully we could curtail Matthew’s influence on both Australian women before it was too late.

And all that before this huge tag team match!

It’s another promo with me and Krystal, but with a special guest because we are being interviewed by none other than Denzel Porter!

”Welcome everyone to the very first episode of the First Count! I am your host Denzel Porter, and our first guests are two women who need no introduction! One if a wrestling veteran with just under ten years of experience and the other is a record breaking champion from the World Famous Go Gym! Please welcome from Sin City Wrestling, Jessie Salco and “Down Under Thunder” Krystal Wolfe!” Denzel introduced us, and we grinned in response as the camera panned over. ”Krystal, Jessie, it is an honour to have two phenomenal women’s wrestlers on the show such as yourselves!”

”Honour’s all ours Denzel!” I responded, and Krystal nodded in agreement. ”So, shell we dive straight into your questions?”

”Yes, we shall, Jessie, my first question is for you!” Denzel started, and I shifted my weight a bit. ”You obviously have the tag team match against Team Hero coming up on the next episode of Climax Control but that’s not all you are challenging Andrea Hernandez for the Bombshell Internet Title at Inception V, has this fact hampered your preparation for this tag team match?”

”Not at all! Hell, I’m still surprised that I won that Fatal Four Way two weeks ago!” I admitted, and Denzel nodded in understanding. ”The challenge was made before I won the match obviously but if anything, that just upped the stakes big time and if Andrea wants to use my world words against me and tell me to do better, fine, I’ll show her just how big a mistake she made is when those two words left her mouth!”

”Onto you Krystal, you are set to defend the Roulette Title against Keira in a match that I am eagerly anticipating, combine that with the fact that Kat Jones is taking on Roxi on the same show, and you have the recipe for a chaotic match.” Denzel commented, and we both had to agree with him on that point. ”Do you think those facts will play a part in the match?”

”In the case of Andrea? Absolutely, I wouldn’t put it past her to try to get the upper hand on Jessie before the title match but Kat? I haven’t known her long enough to make an opinion one way or another, she’s talented don’t get me wrong but I’ll need to see more of her work before I form an opinion like that.” Krystal responded as she shifted her weight. ”With or without their help though, this is going to be a show stealer for sure and one with high stakes written all over it! Actual high stakes, not SCW’s annual year end PPV.”

”I gathered as such but thanks for clarifying, I’ll give you ladies one more question each before I give you the floor to talk about Team Hero, sound good?” Denzel offered, and we nodded in response. ”Jessie, say you win the Internet Title at Inception V, will you have anything to say to those who doubted you over the years?”

”Don’t I always? Snarky comments aside, I’ve been grinding away for nearly ten years, trying to earn the recognition I deserve, if I start 20222 with a big win like that, it will mean that all my hard work has finally paid off!” Jessie commented as she shifted her weight. ”I’d also have a gesture for those who ever doubted me over the years but it’d have to be censored on your show, all you need to know is that involves a certain finger, but to bring it back to the Team Hero discussion for a second, Roxi and Keira have both earned their place in the Hall of Fame but Krystal is right, they aren’t getting any younger and we’ll both give them hell on the way to victory, I just hope Andrea is watching.”

”I can’t possibly imagine which finger you are talking about.” Denzel joked before turning to Krystal. ”Anything to add to that Krystal?”

”Aside from me having the exact same thought process when I won the Roulette Title? The era of Team Hero is nearing its end, when was the last time either Roxi or Keira held a title for any significant amount of time? It’s been a while hasn’t it? And as I’ll demonstrate both on Sunday and at Inception V, Keira will have to wait just a little bit longer before her name is put on the Championship Plate!”

”Well, I don’t think I can top that in the Team Hero discussion so Jessie, Krystal, the floor is yours!” Denzel commented, and we nodded before we got started on the promo.

”Here’s the thing Team Hero, we go way back and every time that we share a ring together magic happens between us because me, Keira and Roxi bring out the best in each other! Enter Krystal Wolfe!” I stated as I motioned to the Aussie. ”This is the first time she’s faced either of you, but you are both dream opponents of hers, throw in the fact that she’s defending the title against Keira at Inception V and this match may as well be titled “dreams come true”.”

Eye to eye.

”You’re not going to start singing an overrated Disney Song, right?” Krystal asked half-jokingly and I shook my head in response. ”There are others on the bucket list, but they can wait for another day, the chance to prove myself against certified legends is staring me right in the eye and I am not blinking! If anything, I am staring right back and whether this match was fated or not, I won’t back down!”

And neither will I!

”On one hand, this tag match is about the mutual respect between two teams but there is the fact that we have outside forces looking on, Andrea, remember my threat from last week? It still stands, interfere in this match and you’ll be spending Christmas having emergency dental surgery performed because I knocked out all of your teeth! Kat, we don’t know you well enough to know if you’ll interfere in this match either but if you do, we’ll let Roxi handle it on our way to the win!”

It’s that simple.

”It’s like Jess said on Monday, on paper this is Team Hero’s match to win! They are the established team taking on a mismatched team after all but Jessie as of late has been defying the odds! And that trend will continue well into this match when we pick up the win over Team Hero, what this will mean for our respective matches at High Stakes is anyone’s guess really especially when the show is so far away and maybe the spirit of Christmas will help in some way, but I doubt it’ll be enough!”

And with that we decided to wrap things up.

”Everyone knows this will be a hell of a match, but everyone thinks Team Hero has it in the bag, well this is going to be a classic case of expectation vs. reality because in reality? Me and Krystal have nothing to lose but everything to gain from winning this match and when I strike you like Blood Lightning and Krystal brings you down with the Down Under Thunderbomb, there will be no doubt about who the better team was!”

”And that, is ready for Prime Time!”

Following her loss to Myra Rivers at High Stakes XI Jessie had been off for a couple of weeks, that was about to change as the veteran Bombshell was seeing action for the first time since that Chamber of Extreme Match and it was a match with title implications as she was taking on Alicia Lukas, Seleana Zdunich and Dani Weston in a Fatal Four Way Match, the prize for the winner? A shot at the Bombshell Internet Championship at Inception V! Can Jessie win?

It seems 2021 is looking to end with a bang rather than a whimper.

Why? Well, it all started when several new faces showed up in Sin City Wrestling, four guys and two girls, and the guys have been on a rampage since their debut first taking out the Roulette Champion Bill Barnhart last week and taking out Fenris tonight, did I mention that we’re only two shows into the last Supercard period of the year? Yeah, things are likely going to get wilder before they settle down but what about the girls? I should be interested in the new blood being injected into the Bombshell division right?

Well, no, your half right, one of them is so shy and introverted I’m surprised that she even signed up to a wrestling school in the first place and the other is the latest product of the famed Go Gym, an eighteen year old French prodigy who was a martial artist before making the jump to wrestling and despite the fact that said French wrestler came off as a major dork in her first promo (her words, not mine) she did show promise.

So, why does most of the Bombshell roster hate Adrienne Beaufort? Four words, she challenged Amber Ryan, after only competing in one match, oh and despite being told multiple times that no, you’re not going up against Amber in the ring by the bosses she tried to bypass them and challenge Amber directly which went about as well as you’d expect, with Amber denying the challenge.

Which brings us to our current predicament, personally? I think Adrienne was dumb as hell for challenging Amber this early into her career and after seeing her frustrated response to the rejection, I’ll admit I see a lot of myself in her (not literally, she may be a lesbian, but I definitely prefer guys) even though her style is a lot closer to Fenris’s than mine, but it’s for those reasons that I don’t want to see her go down the same rabbit hole that I went down early on.

At least unlike me, Adrienne won her debut match against Chloe, but she has a lot of learning to do.

”Okay, looks like we’ve finally got next week’s card.” I commented as the boys got ready to leave and they looked up, after rolling my eyes hard at The Troll’s inability to stay dead I winced when I saw the new girls’ matches. ”Chloe Benton vs. Johanna Krieger?! Adrienne Beaufort vs. Andrea Hernandez in the main event? Who the hell did they piss off?”

“At least Adrienne I can understand after the stunt she pulled tonight.” Jake shrugged his shoulders in response, and I nodded in agreement. “But Chloe? That match is just cruel on so many levels, are you in action Jess?”

”Yep, Fatal Four Way for shot at Andrea featuring some of my old friends.” I nodded before I started listing off those “old friends” Dani Weston, Alicia Lukas and Seleana Zdunich, we’re all coming off recent losses so we’re going to be eager to get that shot.”

“I take the match between Adrienne and Andrea is non-title?” Shane asked and I nodded in response though if you asked me, that was a question that really didn’t need to be answered. “Think Adrienne knows about her match yet? We haven’t seen her since you gave her that pep talk.”

”And called out Katie for being so bad at managing Adrienne, if they are still here then we’ll probably run into them in the parking lot.” I responded before we got ready to go back to the hotel. ”Either way, I’m going back to Vegas to start training for the Fatal Four Way at the Go Gym, if I do run into Frenchie then I may suggest to her that she join me for a sparring session or two.”

“Are you sure?” Jake asked as he turned to me. “Adrienne might be young, but she is a two time black belt and wrestles a similar style to Fenris.”

”I sparred with Amy a lot back when we were both active on the SCW Roster and the Metal and Punk Connection was a thing and Amy has a martial arts background as well, and before anyone points it out, yes I know Muay Thai isn’t the same thing as judo and karate.” I shrugged my shoulders in response as we got ready to leave. ”What’s the worst that can happen?”

Whoever came up with the phrase “what’s the worst that can happen” needs to be shot, repeatedly, in the groin, with a shotgun.

Why? Well, as it turns out, whilst Adrienne is a rookie wrestler, as a martial artist it was pretty fucking clear that she earned her two black belts, it was either lighting fast karate kicks that I’d be feeling for days or being thrown around my personal ring by someone the same height and just a few pounds heavier than me but either way, it was clear that Adrienne was someone I’d want on my side in a fight, and someone who I wouldn’t want to face in a fight!

I’m definitely investing in kick pads for the next time Adrienne comes around.

“Okay, so what did Jessie learn today.” Katie commented as we had finished our latest sparring session and I gave my aching arms a shake. “Jessie can’t take kicks from Martial Artists.”

”More like I can’t take kicks from a second degree black belt in karate.” I responded with a pained grunt before I turned to the redheaded rookie. ”Or being thrown from pillar to post by the same martial artist using her skills as a black belt in judo!”

”I’ll admit, this isn’t the first time I’ve gotten those complaints from sparring partners.” Adrienne admitted with a sheepish laugh, and I was still having trouble connecting the fact that such a dorky woman could kick my head so hard that it’d land three states over. ”Especially after I made the choice to incorporate that background into my wrestling style!”

“Yeah, the other Go Gym trainees loved her after that!” Katie responded with a sarcastic laugh as she shook her head. “But at the end of the day, she was the top of the class for a reason.”

”Clearly!” I responded with a grunt as I tugged on the ring ropes to stretch my arms a bit. ”Saying that, why didn’t you consider going into MMA instead of wrestling? Fenris has the MMA background and similar style.”

”That maybe so but I’m not Fenris, for one thing I’m French, a woman and can control my temper!” Adrienne responded as she shook her head before quickly turning her attention to Katie. ”Don’t tell K I said that!” Adrienne added with a wince and Katie quickly made the “lips are sealed motion” with her lips. ”Besides, I thought I’d stand out more in wrestling.”

”I guess that’s fair.” I responded as I got ready to go another round with her. ”But I guess you could go into it if wrestling doesn’t work out.”

”Yeah, I guess, I still compete as a martial artist on the side and the moment I can find a dojo for either of my chosen Martial Arts in Las Vegas is the moment I’m going after more black belts.” Adrienne admitted as she started warming herself up. ”Just haven’t really had the time to do so this year, between my training at the Go Gym and the beginning of my wrestling career I just haven’t had time, same goes for my love life.”

”So I noticed, try to remember what I said on Climax Control in regard to that topic, there’s a long line of wrestlers who I’d consider to be role models for how relationships can work in wrestling and Hayley is dead last.” I responded before we got ready to train. ”Ready when you are!”

”I’ll try to go easy on you this time!” Adrienne responded before we started sparring again.

Thursday the 2nd of December 2021, 12:00pm

If it weren’t for the fact that I was sparring with a Martial Artist, I bet most people would suspect that Shane was abusing me.

Off course that doesn’t hold up once you remember that me and Shane have been married for six years by this point and that we’re living under the same roof as my much taller big brother who was trained in hand to hand by the US Army so even if he had turned abusive, Shane would be really fucking stupid to do that whilst Jake was in the picture, but I digress! I’m now in Phoenix more or less ready for the Fatal Four Way on Sunday but right now I’m waiting to meet up with another Bombshell.

Said Bombshell also has a big match coming up, albeit in her case it’s for a title.

”Glad you could make it Keira.” I greeted the member of Team Hero as she walked up to her table and Keira grinned before sitting opposite me. ”With how crazy Climax Control has been lately, we haven’t really had a chance to sit back and relax, have we?”

“You can say that again.” Keira nodded in agreement as she made herself comfortable. “Since my match against Krystal was made official last week I’ve been training hard for it, she is going to be a tough opponent.”

”I doubt she would’ve held the Bombshell Roulette Title for nearly two hundred days if she wasn’t tough, we both know how hard it is to hold onto a title here on SCW!” I nodded in response and Keira grinned. ”Off course, it’s not like I have it easy on Sunday.”

“No doubt about that, Fatal Four Ways are tough in general but against Alicia. Seleana and Dani? Especially after the four of you are coming off losses?” Keira responded with a nod before the waitress came over to take our orders, once she had walked off we continued. “And since Alicia was the last person to challenge Andrea for the title, you know she’s going to want to get back in the title picture.”

”Technically it was Alicia and Roxi, but Roxi seems to be going down the same rabbit hole I went down just a few short years ago!” I pointed out and Keira nodded reluctantly as she got the idea. ”As for Andrea herself, she had better watch herself against Adrienne this week, I sparred against her yesterday before I made the trip up, she may be small, but she kicks about as hard as you’d expect from someone with her martial arts background.”

“You think Adrienne might become a female Fenris?” Keira asked with a raised eyebrow and all I could really do was shrug. “Only friendlier and without the anger issues.”

”When I brought it up to her, Adrienne made it clear that being seen as a vagiterian Fenris was the last thing she wanted!” I responded, and Keira had a good laugh at my statement. ”Seleana’s the one I’m least worried about, she might be a former Roulette and Bombshell champion, but she’s been on a downward spiral for a few months now, or do I need to remind you off her two failed attempts to dethrone Krystal.”

“Or her performance in the Christmas Qualifier at High Stakes or her loss at the beginning of the cycle to Bella, much as I respect Seleana I can’t help but agree with you there.” Keira nodded in agreement before the waitress returned with our drinks. “Dani’s winning streak ending at Johanna’s hands was a surprise to me, going from beating Mikah in what will likely be Mikah’s last ever match to losing to Johanna Krieger?”

”You know as well as I do how tough Johanna is but your right, that was a surprise.” I nodded in agreement before taking a sip from my drink. ”Despite all of that, this isn’t going to be an easy match and with four hungry Bombshells eager to get back in the winner’s circle, myself included, anything could happen.”

“Especially with a shot at the Bombshell Internet Title in store for the winner.” Keira nodded in agreement before we shifted the topic towards, well, anything besides the match really, what? Did you think us wrestlers talk about nothing but our upcoming matches?

A tale of four losers.

”What we have on Sunday is a tale of four losers, sorry ladies but between my loss in the Chamber of Extreme Match against Myra Rivers, Alicia’s failed attempt at dethroning Andrea Hernandez and Seleana’s performance at the Christmas Qualifier at High Stakes XI and Dani’s loss to Johanna Krieger and Seleana’s loss to Bella Madison at the first Climax Control of the cycle, is there a better way to describe this Fatal Four Way? We’re all vying for the same thing, a shot at Andrea and the Bombshell Internet Title at Inception V, the question is, who wants it more?”

I asked as I signed another autograph.

”Most people would likely say Alicia because as I already mentioned, she was Andrea’s last challenger alongside Roxi Johnson, Dani is another good shout because she wants to stop this rut before it gets out of control and avenge her loss to Andrea in the Internet Title Tournament and Seleana? Well, she’s been in a rut for a long time, did she win a single match during the last cycle? Unfortunately for them, I’ve got my eyes on this early Christmas present and I’m not giving that up without a fight!”

Not if I can help it.

”On the surface, this match is about at least one Bombshell bouncing back from their recent losses and getting a big win and a future title shot, but for those same reasons it could be seen as a nicely wrapped pity match for four Bombshells who have been on the receiving end of losses in recent weeks or even months! I’m sure the bosses didn’t intend for this match to be seen that way but come on, how else can you see a match like this?”

“Err, Jessie?” I looked up and saw a young female fan, probably just a couple of years younger than Adrienne at a guess, waiting for her autograph. “If you’re doing your promo, may I ask, what are your thoughts on Alicia?”

”That’s a good question isn’t it? Alicia has pretty much done it all in SCW hasn’t she? At least as far as the World Bombshell Championship is concerned but if she’s scared to face Amber then I guess she’s focussing on becoming a Triple Crown Champion, isn’t she?” I asked, and the fan grinned as I signed her autograph before walking off. ”I guess that’s a good enough Segway so let’s start with Alicia, shall we? Because between the four women in this match, she is the one I have the most history with! Going all the way back to SCW’s hiatus in 2018 and my time in Honour Wrestling if we want to be pedantic about this! Alicia, the fact that you’re going to bring up that I’ve never beaten you in the ring is about as obvious as the color of Krystal Wolfe’s hair but if my winning streak if the Chamber of Extreme can come to an abrupt end, so can my losing streak against you and if you ask me? That thing’s been on life support for a long time, but don’t take my word for it, find out for yourself on Sunday because actions speak louder than words.”

“Jessie, what are your thoughts on Dani’s queenslayer persona?” I looked up and saw that a young female fan had asked me about that since I was doing my promo. “The one she’s been doing since High Stakes XI?”

”And the match against Mikah? Well, if you ask me, Dani’s new persona has already fallen flat on its face! Don’t believe me? Just look at her match against Johanna!” I answered and the fan, seemingly happy with my answer, took the autograph and walked off. ”If that’s not a good transition into talking about Dani I don’t know what is! Dani when you returned to SCW it was like the second coming of Christ had happened at a wrestling show! But then you lose in the second round of the Internet Title Tournament to Andrea! And then you lost a Bombshell Tag Match against Team Hero whilst teaming with Bobbie Dahl! Whilst you did bounce back from that loss you ended up back in the losing circle thanks to your recent match against Johanna and after you lose this four way, people will be asking themselves, was that it? Was the second coming of Christ really worth all that hype? Because for something that was treated so warmly, it was definitely a total disappointment!”

“What about Seleana?” Another fan, this time a guy, asked as he passed me his Jessie Salco shirt, from looking at it, it was obvious that it was one of my first shirts, from when I first started in SCW. “She’s been in a bigger rut than all three of her opponents combined!”

”She has, hasn’t see? Wasn’t her last win at Violent Conduct VII AND against Bea Barnhart? I’m just saying, if there’s anyone who Chloe Benton will get her first win against, it’s Bea Barnhart!” I responded, and the fan walked off with his autographed shirt happy with his answer. ”I could say something else, but I think that says it all Seleana, for someone with Bombshell Roulette and World Bombshell Title reigns under your belt you’ve been in a real rut since Violent Conduct! Now granted two of those losses were title matches against Krystal and she’s been damn near unstoppable since she won the Bombshell Roulette Title, but how do you explain losing to Bella? To be fair, one of those losses was in Bella’s home city and Violet took the pin but it's not a good look, isn’t it Seleana?”

It’s that simple.

”I’m sure this match wasn’t intended to be seen this way, but with our recent losses this match feels like just one big pity party, doesn’t it? But once the match ends, so does the pity party as in the end this is meant to determine Andrea’s next challenger and it’s been over a year since I held a title, if you ask me, it’s high time for a change and for me, that starts when I win this match!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

”All three of my opponents are in the same position I’m in, we’ve all suffered losses and are now looking to get back to our winning ways but there’s no one in this match who wants that win more than me! Alicia was one of Andrea’s last challengers but she’s going to have to wait a little bit longer before her next attempt at getting a title, The so called Queenslayer Dani Weston’s return has been one disappointment after the other and that trend will continue next Sunday and Seleana? Her last win was against Bea Barnhart at Violent Conduct VII! Need I say more? They will be struck like blood lightning on my way to the Bombshell Internet Title regardless, I’ll see you ladies in the ring!”

I continued with the autograph signing as the scene fades.

Jessie may have lost her match to Keira, but she still managed to make an impact, surprising everyone by confronting Myra Rivers after her win over Bea Barnhart and eventually challenging the former Internet Champion to a Chamber of Extreme Match at High Stakes XI! Myra accepted the challenge, and the match was set for the biggest show of the year, or was it? Because this week the bosses had other plans.

What were those plans? A second rematch between Jessie and Amber Ryan for the World Bombshell Championship! Jessie had been chasing after the World Bombshell Championship for years but had fallen short each time but with a match against Amber’s last challenger on the horizon, the bosses apparently decided to test Jessi again and this time? It was a regular match! No Food Fight Matches in sight! Can Jessie finally win the World Bombshell Championship? And what would that mean for her match against Myra?

This has been an interesting week.

What else do you expect me to say about a week that’s capping off with a wrestling show being hosted at Disneyworld? Technically me and the rest of the wrestlers would be staying at the park overnight and traveling to the next destination early tomorrow morning, the only exception to that was the Bombshell Roulette Champion as Krystal Wolfe had made it clear to the bosses after her successful title defence against Seleana that whilst she was attending Climax Control 312 next week, she had some personal matters to tend to back in Vegas which would take up most of the week.

And based on what I saw of her conversation with Keira during the show, that probably meant that shit was going to get ugly for her.

Speaking of my best buddy Keira walked up to me after the Fatal Four Way Main Event had a contested finish to say the least, with both Roxi and Crystal scoring the simultaneous pin-fall on Mercedes, I’m sure that there are plenty of men and women in the audience who would pay good money for those two beauties to get on top of them, but I digress.

“The Main Event of Hight Stakes XI just got a lot more interesting.” I commented to Keira after she got close enough to me. “Wonder how the bosses will handle this next week.”

“Only one way to find out, and that’s to wait until next week.” Keira shrugged her shoulders in response as I turned to the blonde bombshell. “Speaking of High Stakes XI, what was with your challenge to Myra Rivers after her match against Bea?”

I shook my head with an annoyed sigh. “Violent Conduct VII was the second PPV of the year that I was left off, it would’ve been three, but Christina issued that open challenge for Summer XXXTreme IX and I accepted, this is a trend that I cannot allow to continue into 2022 and when Myra got on the mic to talk about how she wasn’t backing down from Amber and, well, I felt that I needed to say something.” I explained as I folded my arms. “The challenge for Myra to put her money where her mouth is, well it just came to me whilst she was yapping on as did the idea for a Chamber of Extreme Match.”

“I get that but Jess, Myra was just in an Exploding Barbwire Death Match, there’s a reason why there’s only ever been two of those match types in the company’s history!” Keira pointed out with a concerned look on her face. “How do you know she’ll be at 100% by the time High Stakes XI comes around?”

“Hey, I was just as surprised as everyone else when she accepted, body condition aside, everyone knows my reputation in that match type.” I pointed out as a stage hand came up to us and handed over the card for next week’s show. “Besides, High Stakes XI isn’t until the first week of November, if she isn’t fully recovered from the Exploding Barb Wire Death Match by then, then Myra was probably fucked up even worse by that match even worse than everyone thought and frankly? Has no business getting back in the ring if that’s the case!”

“That is a good point.” Keira nodded in agreement before we read the card for next week’s show, there was only a couple of matches that caught my eye like the match between The Troll and Brother David Shepherd (for the sheer hilarity of it), the match for the newly vacated Roulette Title which would later become a Triple Threat Match between Bill Barnhart, Miles Kasey and Lincoln Daniels, Caleb’s first match as the Internet Champion and Dani Weston’s match against Mercedes Vargas, and then I saw my match and unfortunately, I happened to be taking a sip of my drink when I saw it.

I say unfortunately because the rest of my soda ended up being a stain on the floor. “I take it you’ve just seen the Main Events.”

“Yeah, I don’t even have a sarcastic comment about it!” I responded as I tossed the now empty soda cup in a nearby bin. “I just lost a match to you, how the hell do I qualify for another World Bombshell Title Shot against Amber?!”

“You complaining about a World Bombshell Title Shot, never thought I’d see the day.” Keira teased me and I gave her an annoyed glare. “But you’re right, it is odd, especially given Roxi’s position, you’d think I’d be their first choice.”

“I just know that the other Bombshells are going to bitch about this, even though I didn’t exactly ask for this shot this time!” I added before noticing the absence of someone who was with Keira earlier in the night. “Hey, where’s Nate?”

“I left him with Roxi right before my match against you, then it was my turn to look after him again when Roxi left for the Main Event.” Keira shrugged her shoulders in response, and I nodded as I got the idea. “She’s taken Nate back to the hotel room, but I wanted to catch up with you before I retired to Team Hero’s room for the night.”

“The boys are waiting for me back at the hotel, will probably head back once we’re done here.” I nodded in response before checking the time on my iPhone. “I’ve got a lot to think about, which will likely translate to me getting little to no sleep tonight, the second title shot against Amber, my match against Myra and how this shot could affect……….” I trailed off before it hit me. “Why didn’t I realize this sooner?!”

“You think you got that shot because you challenged Myra to a match?” Keira asked once she caught on and I nodded in response, after thinking for a minute Keira could only shrug. “It’s a better explanation than I can come up with! But if that’s the case and you win, what will that mean for the match against Myra?”

“Best case? It gets bumped down to the Main Event of the Halloween Show and I go on to defend against Chrystal and Roxi, worst case? I pull double duty at High Stakes XI.” I responded as I ran a hand through my hair. “Normally I’d be all up for the latter, but it would mean defending a title after a Chamber of Extreme Match, trust me when I say that those things are brutal.” I added and Keira nodded in understanding. “Come on, we’d better head back and my feet are killing me from wondering around the park all day.”

“You and me both.” Keira nodded in agreement before we walked off.

Thursday the 30th of September 2021, 18:00pm

Did you think Krystal was the only one spending the week in Vegas instead of Atlanta? Nope, I’m up here as I know I need to be in the best shape I can be in for my second shot at Amber.

Me and Krystal were going to fly out to Atlanta first thing in the morning for a couple of reasons, namely the fact that it’s a four hour flight and by car it’s 28 hours and we realized that it would be massively impractical to drive out there this late in the week.

Krystal did have her own, personal reasons for staying in Vegas for most of the week, but I agreed to make the most it by allowing her to train with me in my home gym, most of you should know that this wasn’t the first time we’ve done this with me taking over her training following her spat with Gabriel a few weeks ago but even that arrangement was only for a week.

“Jessie?” Shane called down to me as I finished warming up in the ring and I looked up. “Krystal and Makayla are here, quick question though, they are a childless couple, right?”

I gave my husband a confused look. “They are a lesbian couple and whilst Krystal is bi, Makayla hasn’t exactly been shy about the fact that she’s never had any sexual interest in men, plus if Krystal had a kid from a previous partner I think we would’ve met them by now.”

“Fair points, but they do have a young girl with them, so you tell me.” Shane shrugged his shoulders before letting Krystal and Makayla go past him, it didn’t take me long to see a young, toddler aged girl being led down the steps by Makayla and I raised an eyebrow.

“Didn’t realize that you guys had taken up babysitting.” I commented dryly as Makayla let the girl, who to be fair was a cute kid with auburn brown hair that went past her shoulders and brown eyes, sit down next to her. “Care to tell me what this about?”

“I’ll cut to the chase this is my step-niece Rachel.” Krystal nodded as she motioned to the girl who waved to me. “I mentioned her at Climax Control?”

“Right, right, you were considering pursuing custody of the kid.” I nodded as Krystal rolled into the ring. “But I thought those types of proceedings took time to complete, I know I had a long wait before I was adopted.”

“That’s what we thought as well, but her mother made it easy for us and the judge.” Makayla explained as she leaned back in her chair. “Me and Krystal showed up for each hearing dressed professionally, I even got the dress-a-phobe that is my girlfriend to wear one to each of the hearings, Rachel’s mom on the other hand? She no-showed the first two hearings and on the third she showed up wasted out of her mind and basically told the judge that we could have her.”

“Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad I got my niece out of that situation, but I thought I could expect better from my step-sister.” Krystal added as she shook her head and I nodded as I got the idea. “I guess crack cocaine has that effect on people.”

“Take it from someone who came into SCW as a recovering crack addict and is now thirteen years sober.” I responded with a frown on my face as I thought back to my teen years. “It’s true that cocaine’s a hell of a drug, but it’s also a hell of a drug to kick,  I was lucky to have the support of my family as they got me through the withdrawal symptoms, but it sounds like your step-sister wasn’t so lucky.”

“Yeah, she’s in a similar situation to me, the majority of her family is back home in Australia.” Krystal nodded as she started warming herself up and Rachel came up to the ring apron. “But I keep in contact with my family on a regular basis, she doesn’t.”

“My mommy’s not a bad person.” Rachel interjected and we glanced over at her. “She just made some mistakes, Auntie Charlotte and Auntie Makayla are just looking after me for a while.”

Oh, to be young and naïve, wait, what did she call Krystal. “Auntie Charlotte?” I asked and immediately noticed the uncomfortable look on Krystal and Makayla’s faces. “This is something that no child should hear, isn’t it?”

“You can say that again.” Makayla sighed before she turned to the door leading out of the basement. “Shane, Jake, can you guys look after Rachel for a while?” Makayla called out to them, and Jake quickly poked his head out of the door. “Trust me, we’re about to talk about stuff that I’m not comfortable having a kid as young as Rachel in earshot off.”

“Ahh, one of those convos.” Jake nodded before motioning to Rachel. “Come on little princess, want to play on my Nintendo Switch?”

“YEAH!” Rachel responded enthusiastically before she raced up the stairs and joined Jake at the top, given how tall Jake is compared to me I can only imagine how tall he was compared to Rachel but once they were out of earshot I turned to Krystal.

“Jess, for starters, don’t go blabbing about this anyone, I’d rather people hear the story from me than a secondary source, if at all.” Krystal stated and I nodded before leaning against the ring ropes. “Charlotte is my birth name, but I had it legally changed to Krystal right before I moved to the US, there’s a good reason for that.” Krystal stated and I nodded before bracing myself. “My dad is a monster, there’s no kind way to describe it, he abused me and my mother, to the point where he claimed that I was conceived through rape.”

Holy shit. “I’m going to assume that your mom denied this?” I asked and Krystal nodded in response. “And your sister?”

“Different mom, same dad, but given what he did to my mom, it’s likely that she’s another victim of his.” Krystal explained and I nodded. “He’s in jail back home in Adelaide, he’s never getting out of jail either, he murdered me and my step-sister’s moms and it’s likely that he’s behind several other unsolved cases.”

“A serial killer in other words.” I surmised and Krystal nodded grimly. “You mentioned that Makayla got you away from your homelife at Climax Control, how did you manage that?”

“Luck mostly.” Makayla chimed in and Krystal nodded to affirm this. “Charlotte tried to escape after witnessing her mom’s murder, but she was caught, we’re still not sure why he didn’t murder her as well but we’re not complaining.” Makayla added as she took a deep breath. “When I rescued Charlotte she was borderline anorexic and had way more injuries than I cared to count, that was part of the reason why she became a wrestler.”

“You didn’t want to be a victim again?” I realised and Krystal nodded in response. “Then, in a really fucked up way, we’re birds of a feather, my foster dad before the Salcos took me in was abusive but I was saved by Child Services, I didn’t want to be a victim again either.”

“No wonder we hit it off so well, I’m practically an Australian you!” Krystal responded half-jokingly and I chuckled before Krystal got serious. “Look Jess, I told you because you found out via Rachel and I trust you but watch who you tell that too, if want to tell Jake and Shane that feel free but it’s like I said, I don’t want that to be well known.”

“You’ve got my word.” I nodded in agreement before I bounced off the ropes. “Enough of the depressing shit, I think we put off this training long enough.”

“Just one last thing.” Krystal added and I raised an eyebrow. “Most people know me as Krystal but only a few people can call my Charlotte, that includes Makayla, Gabriel and Odette, Ari and my niece, if you want to start calling me that feel free.”

I paused, mostly because it was clear as day that it meant a lot to the younger wrestler. “Just one condition, if I get to call you that, so do Jake and Shane, they know my history so they should understand your request perfectly.”

“That’s fine by me.” Krystal, or Charlotte as I was going to call her from now on, nodded as she got ready to spar. “So, shall we get started?”

“Ready when you are Charlotte.” I nodded before we started sparring.

This was something I didn’t expect.

“When I made that challenge to Myra last Sunday at Disneyworld, I was expecting a few things, Mark and Christian to laugh in my face for making such a challenge, people telling me that I had no chance against her, what I didn’t expect was for my next match to be for the World Bombshell Championship, much less another single’s match against Amber Ryan and whilst I am thankful that it isn’t a Food Fight Match, I have to say, in the words of Roy Burgundy, boy, that escalated quickly!”

You can say that again.

“I don’t mean to steal another Bombshell’s job but, well, it’s not like Mercedes Vargas gives a shit these days, Amber, this is our fourth match against each other, our fourth single’s match and your second as the defending World Bombshell Champion and look, everyone knows what happened the first time we faced off last year in your debut match for SCW! Everyone remembers the Vanilla Ice Cream incident for better or for worse, I’m past that shit and I hope to god your past it too!”

Seriously, I think the ice cream’s gone off by now!

“So, what is there left to talk about? How about everything that’s happened between that match and now? In the months following your debut Amber you proved to be one of the most vicious Bombshells to come into SCW in a long time as Team Hero and Myra Rivers can attest too, and have obviously gone on to win the World Bombshell Title, me on the other hand?”

Couldn’t be more different!

“I enjoyed a brief Bombshell Roulette Title reign that was cut off by vindictive bosses and there was the Sin incident as well, we’ve been through a lot since you made your debut during the summer of 2020 Amber and whilst it can’t really be argued that you’ve had more success on paper, I’ve been in the background, grinding away since the Sin incident and trying to mend as many burnt bridges as I can before I decide that my time is up and I hang up the boots for good, real question is, what stopped me from joining Amy in semi-retirement?”

The answer is around your waist.

“There’s only one thing stopping me from finally hanging up the boots for good and that’s the grand slam! The World Bombshell Championship has been  the one title that has eluded me for years since I won the Internet Championship from Mercedes Vargas all those years ago and even after SCW briefly closed its doors in 2018 it was still at the back of my mind, so where does that leave me if I do win the title from you? Retirement? After all, that title is the one thing between me and the grand slam!”

I shook my head.

“Frankly? At this point I feel like I’ll retire from wrestling when I’m dead! Like I said that title has been in my sights for years Amber and I’ve tried every trick in the book short of straight up stealing the title to make that dream a reality but if I had succeeded in that goal, we’d be weaving a different tale, wouldn’t we? Instead, I’ve been the perpetual World Bombshell Title chaser for years and it even cost me the respect and friendship of my fellow wrestlers, all because I wanted to be among the legends that have achieved the Grand Slam! It sure is lonely at the top, isn’t it Amber?”

Yet so many people want to be at the top of the mountain.

“They say ambition is evil, if that’s true than I’ve got to be one of the evillest women in history, I’ve always been an ambitious wrestler and that title is the peak of my ambition! Amber, I’m not going to mince words here, I know you’re a hell of a wrestler and you’re as vicious as you’re talented but don’t underestimate how long I’ve been chasing that title or the lengths I’ll go to in order to finally end that case! Hell, most people underestimate just how long I’ve been after that thing!”

You have no idea.

“Next year will be my tenth year in SCW and even as far back as 2012 I had dreams of one day being at the very top of the Bombshell division, back then those were merely dreams, I was a naïve twenty two year old wrestler more interested in making a name for myself than winning a title but the dream was still there, now? Nearly ten years on and I’m still chasing that dream, and that chase ends on Sunday.”

It’s that simple.

“I was just as surprised as everyone else when this match was announced but as always, I’m going to make the most of it, much like I did in every other attempt I’ve made at winning that damn title, what will this mean for my match against Myra at High Stakes? Your guess is as good mine but until then, I have a nine year old dream to finally fulfil this Sunday night at Climax Control where I finally win the World Bombshell Title.”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“Krystal’s been taking pot-shots at the nay sayers who said that her reign would be a one and done the longer her reign has gone on for, I guess it’s only fair that I do the same once I walk out the World Bombshell Champ right? One final fuck you to those who said that I don’t belong this far up among the best of the Bombshell division?? How can I resist? But first, I have to defeat you Amber and when I strike you like Blood Lightning, I will do just that! See you in the ring!”

I resumed my training as the scene fades.

Jessie would have to wait for another day to win the Bombshell Internet Title again after Andrea pinned her in the Main Event however, she was not done with the Main Event scene as at Climax Control 310, she was challenging Amber Ryan for the World Bombshell Championship! However, despite the title being a goal that she has been after for over four years, Jessie was not happy with this match, why? Candy had booked it and used her booking power to male it a Food Fight Match! Can Jessie win the title in this unique stipulation?

Sunday the 22nd of August 2021, 23:00pm

The show must go on.

I’m out of the Internet Title Tournament, anyone who saw the Main Event of tonight’s show saw that plain as day, but I doubt I’m out of the Internet Title Picture just yet, they’ll need a first challenger for the winner of the Tournament after all and I might be the one they pick.

Off course, there’s other women who could fill in that void, but they aren’t my concern right now, my concern is what I’m doing at Climax Control 310 because there’s still my challenge to Amber Ryan to resolve and that’s not likely to be featured at Violent Conduct VII given that they’ve been pushing Myra vs. Amber II since Summer XXXTreme IX.

That’s not all that’s on my mind though.

“So, how are you feeling Jess?” Jake asked as he walked up to me following the match against Andrea moments ago, he tossed me a water bottle and I caught it before opening it. “You landed pretty hard towards the end of the match.”

“I knew the risk when I chose my wrestling style.” I responded before taking a sip from the water bottle. “They call my style “High Risk” for a fucking reason, yet I took too it like a fly to shit when I was training to be a wrestler!”

“You come up with some unique analogies Jess, that’s all I’m saying.” Shane responded with a grin, and I rolled my eyes to my husband. “Lighter topic but you sure you don’t want to apply for that Best Ass list?”

“Beyond the fact that it’s a vanity list? My ass is about as flat as a freshly flipped pancake!” I scoffed as I folded my arms before glancing down at my small boobs. “And I’d stand even less of a chance when either Denzel or that Hakeem guy get around to the best tits list.”

“You know I’m going to nominate you for that list now, right?” Shane asked with a laugh as a stage hand came up to us. “Besides, Hakeem seems like a decent dude, maybe he’ll take pity on your itty bitty titties.”

“You are so lucky that you’re my husband Shane.” I responded as I rolled my eyes as the stage hand waited to butt in. “Because I plan on having kids once I hang up the boots for good and I still need your balls in tact for that to happen!”

“Not following Amy’s example then?” Jake asked and I quickly shook my head.

“Amy had to take a year off when she got pregnant, in that time the SCW roster had passed by her so quickly that she had to quietly head down to SCU to stay relevant! I’m not about to let that happen!” I added before the stage hand cleared his throat. “Next week’s card?”

“Yeah, you’re getting the card last because Mark wanted to see the outcome of the match between you and Andrea before finalizing your match.” The stage hand explained before passing the card to me. “I can say right now that you got your wish, your World Bombshell Title Match against Amber is next week’s Main Event, but Mark added “be careful what you wish for”.”

Oh god, what has he let Candy do THIS time?! “Thanks, and please tell him that I want a match against Candy ASAP if that means what I think it means!” I responded with a grunt before going over the rest of the card (and wincing when I saw that Tempest was Bella Madison’s third opponent in the gauntlet). “Aside from my match and the opener, next week is all Internet Title Tournament matches…….” I trailed off when I saw the main event. “ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?!” I demanded and before the boys could enquire, I tossed the card at them.”

“You vs. Amber for the World Title, I don’t see what your…….” Jake trailed off before it hit him. “Candy’s Rules: FOOD FIGHT?! For the World Bombshell Title?!”

“I didn’t exactly get along with her when she was a roster member.” I added as I ran a hand down my face. “But Misty has to be turning over in her grave at this news, what the hell was Mark thinking letting Candy book this garbage?!”

“If I knew that I’d tell you, and honestly? I agree about Misty.” Shane nodded in agreement as he leaned back. “She was the first Bombshell Champion, and now ten years after her reign, the title she put on the map is being defended in this?!”

“That said, bringing up a dead Bombshell into this? You sure about this Jess?” Jake asked and I nodded without hesitation. “You’re not exactly popular with the SCW Bombshell Roster but bringing up Misty?”

“Look at the current SCW Bombshell Roster, there’s at least two women who city either Misty or Odette as their inspiration for getting into wrestling and joining SCW.” I pointed out as I leaned back in my chair. “And hell, more than a few who were trained by Odette, including the Bombshell Roulette Champion! They may not like it, but they’ll realize that I was right!”

“You haven’t even spoken about achieving your goal.” Shane chimed in and I paused for a second. “You know? Grand Slam? World Bombshell Champion Jessie Salco?”

“When I dreamed off finally achieving that goal, I had a hard fought match in mind, not a fucking food fight!” I responded bluntly before rolling my eyes. “And I bet Mark will complain about gratitude the moment I post about this on Twitter, because clearly spitting on the legacy of that title is something to be grateful for!” I added before standing up. “Let’s head back to the hotel before I stand here ranting until the crack of dawn!”

“As fun as that’d be to watch, we do need our beauty sleep, let’s go!” Jake nodded in agreement before we left the arena.

I hope Mark Ward is fucking happy with himself.

“Misty, Kittie, Raynin, Odette Ryder, ten years ago SCW opened it’s doors and those four women were among the first to hold the World Bombshell Championship, hell in Misty’s case? Not only was she THE first but the only three time Bombshell champion in SCW history, they put the SCW Bombshell Division on the fucking map! Now, almost ten years since SCW opened its doors for the first time, I have to wonder, how would they feel knowing that the title was being defended in a fucking Food Fight?!”

Fucking ridiculous.

“It’s often forgotten but I’ve been with SCW since it’s second year of existence, I was practically there from the very beginning and whilst I didn’t have the title ambitions I have now, watching some of the best female wrestlers in the world inspired me to keep going and someday climb that mountain and claim the title for myself, never did I imagine that I’d find myself challenging for that title in a Food Fight but Amber? That is exactly the situation we’re finding ourselves in, isn’t it?”

How many sheets to the wind was Mark on when he signed off on this?

“And I can already hear the so-called “good-guy co-owner” Mark Ward complaining about gratitude as I say this, gratitude for what exactly?! Spitting on the legacy of the Bombshell Division’s Top Prize?! Because that’s exactly what you did when you signed off on this Main Event and let an idiot pick the stipulation! If I don’t win the title and Candy’s not doing anything at the PPV, I want her in a match!”

Yeah, I said it!

“I don’t care if it’s a Glitter Bomb Match, she needs to pay for all the moronic stipulations she’s made not just me and Amber, but the rest of the roster put up with since she was announced as the interim co-owner whilst Christian’s on vacation! But I do have a job to do, don’t I? I’m not here just to rant about this moronic situation that the reigning World Bombshell Champion finds herself in, after all, I’m her challenger in this joke of a title match!”

Yep.

“Amber, everyone knows our history by this point! How I was your opponent in your debut match back in June of 2020, and how your first ever promo set me off on a profanity filled rant disguised as a promo, I’m not here to deconstruct that promo, if you want that just go back and watch my promo for our rematch during the lead-up to Climax Control 300! But here’s the thing Amber, I may be pissed off about this stipulation, but I still have a job to do!”

That job couldn’t be simpler.

“Did I imagine myself winning your title in a Food Fight? Fuck no! I imagined myself winning it in a hard fought wrestling match! And say what you will about me and that title, but can you honestly name one Bombshell on the roster who doesn’t share similar dreams?! No, you can’t, because the World Bombshell Title is meant to be the pinnacle of this division, the one thing any Bombshell with a pulse strives to win someday! And it’s being defended in a Food Fight! The worst part is? That idiot Candy still hasn’t revealed how this match is supposed to fucking work!”

Bring back Christian already!

“I never thought I’d see the day where I missed Christian! He may be an asshole, but he never pulled bullshit like this! But because he’s on vacation, it’s suddenly okay to deliver the hardest blow to this division’s credibility since the Mean Girls days?! And you know what the funny thing is, me and Amber will probably still find a way o put on a hell of a match in the Food Fight stipulation, whatever the fuck that is!”

But I digress.

“Amber, even before you won the title you had solidified yourself as one of the most vicious and dominant Bombshells SCW has seen in a long time and your World Bombshell Title Reign has only served to solidify that fact! But all good things must come to an end Amber and when I say that I bet most are thinking about the title match against Myra at Violent Conduct VII, right? Wrong, because stranger things have happened in SCW right?”

Off course they have!”

“That title has been in my sights for years, from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, I’ve never given up on my goal of winning that title! As much as the bosses would wish otherwise! But I’m not getting any younger and it may get to the point where I can no longer go as well as I used too in that ring but just knowing that I defied everyone’s expectations by not only winning the World Bombshell Title but by winning it from Amber.”

It’s that simple.

“I’ll admit, when I first saw this Main Event, I thought it was a late April Fools’ Joke that Mark had forgotten about! It wasn’t until I remembered that this year’s April Fools happened during the post Blaze of Glory IX Supercard break that I realised that not only was it real, but Mark Ward had either lost it or Candy booked the match behind his back somehow but here’s the thing, as a four time Bombshell Roulette Champion I’ve learned to adapt, and I will adapt to this match as well!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“Talk about a real monkey's paw scenario, because in my hunt to win the World Bombshell Title I had many things going through my head for when I finally won it, a match like this? Was at the very bottom of the list of things I had going through my head but like I just said, my time in the Bombshell Roulette Division has taught me to adapt to anything and everything, a luxury that Amber Ryan doesn’t have! And that will be the downfall of not only her title reign, but whatever plans SCW had for Violent Conduct VII! This is Jessie Salco signing off and I don’t care if we face off in this or a Glitter Bomb Match Amber, you’ll still be struck by Blood Lightning on my way to finally winning that title.!”

I went to start gaming as the scene fades.

They say that all good things come to end and that was what happened to Jessie’s unbeaten streak on Supercards at Summer XXXTreme IX where she lost the match to Christina Rose (now going by the name Chrystal Zdunich) leaving the veteran Bombshell with a lot to think about over the Supercard break and the week leading up to Climax Control 306, the first show in over a year to emanate from outside of Las Vegas.

Jessie wasted little time in making her voice heard, saying that, provided that she wasn’t in the Internet Title Match after the Bombshell Internet Title was vacated, she was issuing an open challenge of her own for Violent Conduct VII but before that could take, she had her match at Climax Control 307 to worry about as she was facing Roxi Johnson in singles competition! Whilst Jessie was good friends with Roxi and Keira, it wasn’t always that way with Jessie serving as Roxi’s first opponent back in the day, can Jessie get back on the winning track?

God, it feels great to finally be out of Las Vegas!

Seriously, there’s only so much of the same fucking arenas that I can take before I start to lose it and if SCW hadn’t announced this west coast tour at Summer XXXTreme IX two weeks ago, I’d have probably gone down the same route as the Barnharts!

And the thought on that makes me shudder.

Still as I walked down the hallways of the Galen Centre, I had plenty of other things on my mind, including the actions of my former tag team partner Amy Santino hence why I was making my way to the medic room to check on a certain pair of Go Gym Graduates, especially after that brutal Main Event.

“I thought Gabriel and Odette prepared me for anything and everything after I graduated.” Krystal groaned as the medic checked her over after her successful title defence against Bella Madison and Mercedes Vargas. “But they couldn’t have prepared me for having salad tongs clamped onto my tits!”

“To be fair, I can’t think of a training school that CAN prepare you for that possibility.” Ariana responded with a chuckle before she spotted me, and her mood soured. “What are you doing here Jessie?!” Ariana demanded and Krystal looked up seeing me in the doorway.

“What? I’m not allowed to check up on my friends after they were attacked by GRIME?” I asked before glancing over at Krystal. “Or in her case, a brutal Roulette Title defence?”

“How do we know that you’re not with GRIME?!” Ariana demanded and it was my turn for my mood to turn sour. “Amy was your tag team partner in the Metal and Punk Connection for years!”

“And if you’ve followed the Metal and Punk Connection’s history, you’ll know that me and Amy have never seen eye to eye on everything! Even before we formed that team!” I pointed out as I folded my arms and Ariana paused. “I was just as surprised as everyone else when Amy was unmasked at Summer XXXTreme IX and revealed herself as GRIME’s co-founder, only reason I didn’t travel down to Daily City for yesterday’s SCU show was because I didn’t have time.”

“So, you’re not with GRIME?” Ariana asked and I nodded without hesitation. “Do you expect us to believe that?”

“Let me put it this way, if I was in GRIME alongside Amy, don’t you think that I would’ve unmasked myself alongside her when she, Orchid and Celeste North attacked Omasa?” I pointed out and Ariana paused before accepting defeat. “Me and Amy may have been part of a legendary Bombshell Tag Team, but the Metal and Punk Connection is dead and buried, and there’s no way in hell I’m reviving it after Amy co-founded GRIME.”

“Sorry, but the Amy attack has me on edge.” Ariana apologized before Krystal finally invited me to sit at her bedside and I did so. “Before Krystal left to defend her title, we were discussing how to get revenge on Amy.”

“I hope that plan developed past the “ambush her backstage” because you just know the other GRIME members are going to have her back.” I pointed out before a stage hand came in and handed me next week’s card followed by Krystal. “Amy is a lot of things and stupid isn’t one of them! I learned that through our battles over the years.”

“We tossed around a few ideas for dealing with any backup, yeah.” Krystal nodded as she shifted her weight. “We narrowed it down to one of three options, hit and run attack backstage, attack her after her tag team match or get backup, and right now? You’re looking like our best bet for backup.”

“It has been a hot minute since I was in SCU.” I admitted before finally reading the card. “Looks like Mark Ward took pity on you Krystal, you’re not in action next week.”

“Good, gives me a chance to rest up and add more days to my reign.” Krystal sighed as she glanced over at her title, then she saw the rest of the card. “Looks like they dropped all pretences and just booked a one on one Roulette Title Match between Caleb and Alex, and you’ve got Roxi.”

“Yeah, I saw, me and Roxi go back years.” I admitted as I leaned back in my chair. “I even served as her very first opponent in SCW back in the day.”

“That was what? Eight years ago? Give or take?” Ariana wondered as she ran a hand through her hair. “I would’ve been twelve at the time whilst Krystal would’ve been seventeen.”

“If you were looking to make me, feel old then congrats, mission accomplished.” I teased the two younger wrestlers who gave me uneasy grins in response. “I’ll worry about Roxi during the week, but we need a plan if we’re going to get revenge on Amy.”

“We’re all ears.” Krystal nodded before we started strategizing.

Sightseeing around San Francisco, California
Monday the 2nd of August 2021, 16:00pm

It has been far too long since I’ve had an opportunity to do this.

Granted the pandemic brought any travel plans SCW had to a screeching halt last year and up until last week I had been stuck in Las Vegas ever since so yeah, going outside of Sin City for the first time in forever was definitely a welcome site and I’m trying to make the most of it, including a site seeing tour of San Francisco.

Granted we couldn’t get on an official tour, so we did the next best thing, taking our rental car and driving around the city.

“Okay, we’re coming up to the Golden Gate Bridge soon.” Jake commented as he checked the sat-nav, the CD player was blasting out “Victims of Vile Torture” by Tombstoner as we drove around the city and as usual, I was in the backseat going through my phone. “Any new developments on Twitter Jessie?”

“If you’re asking if there’s been any card changes like last week, the answer’s no.” I responded as I shook my head before shifting me weight. “I think yesterday’s Main Event has just spurned Krystal on in her quest to defend the title against Bella Madison, she said on Twitter that all Bella has to do to get a title shot against her is ask.”

“If you ask me, it’s likely that Bella will end up being Krystal’s challenger at Violent Conduct VII.” Shane nodded in agreement as he looked outside the car. “And if it was anyone but Candy serving as interim co-owner whilst Christian relaxes at home, I’d say it was likely that they would insert themselves into that title match.”

“Candy is a lot of things, bubbly, energetic, Christian’s arch nemesis, but greedy isn’t one of them!” I nodded in agreement before I saw the Twitter conversation between Candy and Christian. “And from the looks of this Twitter convo, Christian might come back as an alcoholic!”

“Really?” Shane asked before I passed him my phone and he read through the Twitter convo. “I wouldn’t be surprised if Christian’s reaching for a strong beer as we speak!”

“I’ll have to look at that convo once we’re parked up.” Jake responded and a few moments later, he had found a place to park, and we got out to take a few pictures in front of the famous bridge, once Jake had a look at the convo he nodded in agreement. “I swear, Christian and Candy should film a sit-com!”

“Do you want to drive one of my bosses to insanity?” I asked jokingly once me and Shane had our pictures taken in front of the bridge. “So, what’s the plan next? We still have Alcatraz and Fisherman’s Wharf to check out.”

“Yeah, Alcatraz is our next stop, I’ll see if I can get us on a tour of that.” Jake nodded after checking our plan for the day. “We’ll be stopping at Fisherman’s Wharf for dinner, Krystal said that she’s taking Makayla on a date to Restaurant Gary Danko later in the week, so I guess she still has some money from her SCW pay check left over.”

“As an eight time SCW champion, I can confirm that yes, she would have plenty left over.” I nodded in response as we got into the car. “And if she’s taking Makayla there, I’d say it’s worth a stop.”

“Well, it does have a Michelin Star according to Trip Advisor.” Jake responded as he got in the driver’s seat, and I let out a low whistle when I heard that. “Krystal’s treating Makayla so much that you’d think they were married.”

“Based on the times I’ve seen them together? It’s a case of when, not if they get married.” I nodded in response as I made myself comfy. “Just a matter of when they pop the question and who will be the one to do it.”

“After the year Krystal’s had, I’d say she’s earned it.” Shane nodded in agreement before Jake drove off.

Alcatraz prison, San Francisco, California
Monday the 2nd of August 2021, 17:00pm

This would probably be prophetic if I was competing in a Cage Match this Sunday on Climax Control.

But still, when I learned that SCW was visiting San Francisco on it’s West Coast Tour I knew we had to visit the infamous prison just off the coast of San Francisco, California, and, well, here we are and true to Jake’s word, he managed to get is on a tour of the prison.

Not something I ever thought I’d be doing willingly I’ll admit! Even if said prison has been closed for decades by this point.

“So much history on one little island.” I commented to Shane as we walked alongside the rest of the group and Jake. “Yet all I can think off is that Belgian music festival that this prison shares a name with.”

“Jess, I think it’s safe to say that I lot more people would want to go to that music festival than go to this prison during its heyday!” Shane pointed out and I had to admit that he had a point there. “Besides that, what makes you say that? Thinking off doing a Summer of European Festivals once travel opens up?”

“Unless SCW announces a European Tour that happens to coincide with all those dates, that’s unlikely.” I responded as I shook my head and Shane nodded in agreement. “And with all the dates I’d miss? I’d be better off saving that for after I hang up the boots for good!”

“Is this about that exchange you had with Amber on Twitter?” Shane asked and my frown deepened when I realized what he was on about. “She did extend an invitation to you.”

“She did, and I’m still deciding if I want to take her up on that offer.” I responded as I shook my head before brushing some hair over my shoulder. “But I should have a definitive answer at Climax Control 307.”

“Six days to make your mind up huh?” Shane asked and I nodded. “Whilst working on your match against Roxi and helping Ari and Krystal out with Amy?”

“What can I say? I’m going to be a busy woman this week!” I responded with a grin before we continued along the hallways of the infamous prison.

Monday the 2nd of August 2021, 21:00pm

Back in the mix of things.

“I knew that undefeated streak couldn’t last forever! I was at least hoping that I’d make it to Violent Conduct VII and celebrate it’s one year anniversary! But anyone who watched Summer XXXTreme IX, and Climax Control 306 knows that that streak ended with Crystal Zdunich after a hell of a match! On one hand I’m glad that I ended said streak with a match like that and against a competitor like Crystal but on the other hand? I need to get back into the winner’s circle and this week at Climax Control 307 I have my opportunity to do just that as I go one on one with Roxi Johnson!”

This will be good.

“Roxi, pretty much everyone knows our history by this point, how I was your first ever opponent in an SCW ring and some might say that we are good friends, better opponents! But it hasn’t always been that way and we’ve definitely had our disagreements over the years, especially when it came to your wife Keira but there’s been one other consistent in all our battles over the years Roxi, I have never picked up the win over you, whether it was singles or tag team competition you always got the best of me!”

Not this time.

“That proved true at Climax Control 300 when Team Hero faced off against the Metal and Punk Connection for the last time and whilst at the time, I didn’t know how definite that was because I had no idea that Amy was the co-founder of GRIME, the result was the same but with one caveat, it was Amy that took the pin and not me, whether Amy gets involved in this match is another matter entirely but I’m out to achieve one thing in this match against you Roxi, and that’s break my losing streak against you.”

And I’ll do everything I can to do that.

“Thing is Roxi, our careers have similar trajectories if you look at them based on stats, we joined a year apart from each other, me in 2012 and you in the beginning of 2013 and we’ve both gone on to hold almost all the titles in SCW, in fact, aside from the Mixed Tag Titles, the only titles we haven’t held are the Roulette for you and the World Bombshell Title for me, is this me telling you to set your sights on Krystal? No, but it is me pointing out that we’re both one title away from the Grand Slam and soon? That might change for the both of us!”

But first.

“That said, before we can even think about that, we need to get past this match and I intend to do so by finally picking up the win over you in that ring, I know you’ll give me one hell of a match along the way Roxi but I’m heading into this match with one mindset: failure is NOT an option and I will fight tooth and nail to pick up the win over you in this match, but here’s the real question Roxi, can you keep up with me?”

The million dollar question.

“Sure, you kept up with me just fine when we were younger, and you were the new girl on the block but these days? We’re both older and watching a group of younger Bombshells come in and take over, some might see that as our incentive, to show the new girls how it’s done in the ring but me? They are the last thing on my mind because as I already said, my main focus is breaking my years long losing streak against you Roxi and I’m doing that this Sunday night!”

It’s that simple.

“Don’t get me wrong Roxi, I respect the hell out of you, and I know that the feeling is mutual between us but in this match, that respect is going out the window as soon as that bell rings and the match starts because friendship doesn’t count for much outside of a tag team match, does it Roxi? And this Sunday, with any thoughts of friendship and respect expelled from our minds, the only thing we should worry about is getting that all important win at Climax Control 307!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“And at the end of the night, it’ll be me that picks up the win in the Kezar Pavilion right here, in San Francisco, California! Roxi, we may be good friends, but we definitely make for better opponents and this Sunday will be yet another example of that fact! The only thing that’ll differentiate this match from all the others we’ve had though? Is the fact that I’m going to be the one to pick up the win over you after I strike you liker Blood Lightning! See you on Sunday Roxi!”

I went to start listening to music as the scene fades.

It was time for the annual King for a Day Climax Control and the King Vinnie used the Queen for a Day Climax Control to issue several decrees, the first one was a six woman Battle Royal between six of SCW’s top Bombshells where the winner would get a cash prize of ten thousand dollars, the participants? Jessie Salco, Mercedes Vargas, Andrea Hernandez, Sam Marlowe, Violet Amelia Holt, and Roxi Johnson! Can Jessie win?

Backstage at Climax Control 301, Las Vegas, Nevada
Sunday the 6th of June 2021, 19:34pm

Back to business as usual.

Climax Control 300 was great and all, but I needed to get back into the swing of things after the Metal and Punk Connection lost to Team Hero, my one off appearance in SCU was a great step forward towards doing just that but I need to start picking up wins again in SCW and after being left off this week’s card I was wondering what. If anything, Senor Vinnie would have in store for me the week after.

Then came Vinnie’s announcement and turns out that I didn’t have to wait for a stage hand to give me next week’s card to find out what I was up too.

Seven (later six due to Courtney pulling out) of the top women’s wrestlers in SCW competing in a battle royal, the prize? $10,000 of Vinnie’s own money, my opponents were a variable whose who of old enemies of mine to boot! Mercedes Vargas, Andrea Hernandez, Sam Marlowe, Violet Amelia Holt and Roxi Johnson of Team Hero and with promises of a vague second prize, I had to admit that I was that much more determined to win.

To be honest, the cash prize doesn’t interest me in the slightest, I’ve always been good at saving up the money from my SCW pay checks (in fact I still have some money left over from that period of self-isolation after I caught Covid-19 during that UK Tour last year) so I’m more interested in just getting back in the winner’s circle than the cash prize which is a nice incentive, new guitars aren’t cheap after all, but it’s not something I’m going to be mourning the loss off should I lose this Battle Royal.

“When in doubt, book a Battle Royal.” Jake commented with a shrug as we watched the announcement by King Vinnie. “Didn’t you have a similar idea for last year’s Queen for a Day Match?”

“Not really, my idea was a pair of Six Pack Roulette Title Matches.” I responded with a shrug as I shifted my weight. “Violet was going to defend her title against Candy, Myra, Keira, Mercedes and Andrea, and Kedron would’ve defended against Stephan Callaway, Griffin Hawkins, Lachlan Kaine, Bill Barnhart and Jack Washington, and I just realized that my idea for the Bombshell Match was the only one where all the competitors are still with the company one year on.”

“Funny that, huh?” Shane nodded in agreement as he thought back to that promo. “I still think Violet would’ve lost the title on her first defence regardless of who won that Queen for a Day Match but it’s a pretty funny coincidence that half of your opponents in that battle royal were in your idea for that Six Pack Challenge.”

“Pretty sure that’s a coincidence, either that or Vinnie went back and watched my promo for that Queen for a Day Climax Control.” I responded with a shrug before I shifted my weight. “At least my opponents are all people I’m familiar with, for better or worse in some cases, and whilst I’m not exactly hurting for money I do need to get back in the winner’s circle before long.” I added before letting out a deep breath. “Only thing left to do is wait for the stage hand to deliver the rest of the card.”

“Should be interesting to see what else gets booked at least.” Jake nodded in agreement as we watched the rest of the show.

Jessie’s home, Las Vegas, Nevada
Thursday the 10th of June 2021, 18:00pm

I would like to say that I’m surprised that King Vinnie abused his power as King for a Day, but I’d be lying, after all, I was planning on doing the same thing when I was in last year’s Ladder Match.

If anything, the biggest surprise was The Troll getting a Roulette Title Match out of the blue, to the point where I had to check to see if King Vinnie had booked that match but once I confirmed that the mad king hadn’t booked that match, well that just raised more questions about Christian’s mental state.

Right now, I’m working out in the home gym in preparation for the Battle Royal, part of me was thinking about what I was going to do with the cash prize if I won the Battle Royal but aside from that there wasn’t much on my mind.

“Jess?” Jake called out to me, and I looked up from the exercise equipment. “Krystal is here with her girlfriend, said you invited her to train at CC 301?”

“Send her down, though I could’ve sworn that she was still single.” I called back before I got off the equipment and rolled into the ring, Krystal soon came down the steps to the basement with Makayla not far behind. “So, how are you finding life as the new Bombshell Roulette Champ?”

“Caleb wasn’t kidding about the champion’s pay check, I’ll say that much.” Krystal responded before she removed her title and handed it to Makayla. “In answer to your statement about my relationship status, me and Makayla got back together the day after Into the Void X.”

“And I’m sure the fact that it was just in time for Pride Month had nothing to do with it.” I responded dryly as the Lesbian couple shared a quick kiss before Krystal entered the ring. “I kid off course, I may be married to a guy but I’m bi-sexual as well.”

“And we won’t judge you for deciding to date/eventually marry a guy.” Makayla nodded as she leaned against the ring apron. “It shouldn’t matter but there are members of the LGTBQ+ community who rag on bi people for deciding to date members of the opposite sex.”

“Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.” I nodded with a frown on my face as me and Krystal started sparring. “How was your day at the Go Gym anyway?”

“Relatively quiet, spent most of the week sparring with Adrienne and Caitlin at the gym.” Krystal responded as we exchanged holds. “Me and Bella might be the same height and weight, but I still need to prepare for that match, Adrienne and Caitlin are the same height as me and Bella, but they are respectively a couple of pounds heavier and lighter than me and Bella at 127 and 123ibs, so it was good to spar against them.”

“And then you’ve got little old petite me, whose three inches shorter and five pounds lighter.” I responded before Krystal got me in a head scissor hold which I kicked up out of after a few seconds. “But I still have the experience edge over both of them.”

“Considering you’ve been wrestling for twelve years I’d be worried if that wasn’t the case.” Makayla commented with a shrug before pausing. “Or is it thirteen?”

“Twelve going on thirteen, I graduated from my training school in September of 2008.” I corrected her as me and Krystal kept sparring. “Have you ever considered training to be a wrestler Makayla?”

“As cool as it would be to be a version of Team Hero from Down Under, I don’t really have the body for wrestling.” Makayla responded as she shook her head. “And my family has a history of heart problems, not really a good idea for me to start training even if I had the body.”

“Fair enough, at least you’ll be around to support your girlfriend.” I responded with a shrug before calling for a break. “But Krystal has to be ready for any opponent, whether it’s Bella, Maki, Char or even me, a lot of girls will be eyeing her title.”

“I noticed.” Krystal nodded before taking a sip from a water bottle that Makayla had passed to her. “Hell, it could even be the winner of that Battle Royal you’re in.”

“I think if it was for a shot at your title, Vinnie would’ve said so when he announced the match.” I responded as I shook my head. “Instead, I’m competing for a cash prize that I don’t really need, I’ve always been good at saving up money which was why I was able to afford those yearly trips to Bloodstock in the UK up until last year, so I instead had this built.”

“From what I can see, it was money well spent.” Krystal nodded as she glanced around the gym. “Though even if Bloodstock happens this year, you won’t be able to make the trip out due to travel restrictions.”

“I reckon I could, but I’d have to book for three weeks off, two for quarantine and one for Bloodstock.” I responded as I shook my head. “And depending on Summer XXXTreme’s date, that would mean me potentially missing out on a PPV payday plus the Climax Control after the show.”

“True, might not be worth all the hassle, regardless of how good the line-up is.” Makayla nodded as she brushed some hair over her shoulder. “Real question is, are you getting too old for mosh pits yet Jess?”

“Please, I wrestle for a living remember? Pits are nothing compared to that.” I responded with a laugh before turning to Makayla’s girlfriend and noticing that Krystal was ready for round two. “Ready when you are.”

“Let’s go!” Krystal nodded before we started sparring again.

Friday the 11th of June 2021, 16:00pm

Back to business as usual.

“I will give credit to our illustrious King Vinnie, and Alicia to a lesser extent, they weren’t completely selfish when it came time to booking their episodes of Climax Control unlike Christina Rose and Jack Washington last year hence why I find myself thrown into a six person Battle Royal! The prize? Ten thousand dollars that I don’t need to be honest with you because I know how to save my money! My opponents? Mercedes Vargas, Andrea Hernandez, Sam Marlowe, Violet Amelia Holt and Roxi Johnson! What is this? The consolation prize Battle Royal?”

I asked as I leaned against the ring ropes.

“Seriously look at the field of competitors! Mercedes lost the Queen for a Day Match again, Violet failed in her quest to win the Bombshell Roulette Championship, Sam lost to Andrea and Roxi became the latest Bombshell to fail to dethrone Myra Rivers, only me and Andrea saw success at Into the Void X and even then, Andrea had to cheat and the only way I could get on the card was asking SCU’s Twitter account if they could squeeze me onto the pre-show!”

In a tag team match no less!

“Four of the competitors are competing for something to make up for the fact that they lost at Into the Void X, me and Andrea are just trying to keep our respective win streaks going, I would say that that’s how I’m looking at it, but I honestly can’t decide if there is any other way of looking at this match! At least we can say that Senor Vinnie doesn’t have a horse in this race because as far as we know, he’s single! Either that or he’s fucking that cactus he carries around!”

And after that traumatizing mental image, I’m starting with Mercedes.

“Mercedes, was there any question as to who I was going to start with? It was either you or Roxi to be honest since you and her and the two women in this match who I have the most history with! Whether it was when you were in the Mean Girls or going solo, we’ve gone back and forth and at one point I beat you for the Bombshell Internet Championship but that was years ago! What have you been doing a lot recently? Losing!”

Someone’s slipping up.

“Bombshell Roulette Qualifier against Violet and Bella, now if you were in your prime then this would’ve been easy as pie for you, right Mercedes? But you’re not and you got pinned! One on one match against Krystal Wolfe, oh look at that, you got pinned again! And as mentioned before, you lost the Queen for a Day Match! Just saying Mercy, this isn’t a good look for a Hall of Famer and this streak of losses will continue on Sunday night!”

Next up is Roxi!

“And no Roxi, I haven’t forgotten about you! After all I did face you and Keira in my last Climax Control Match which you won only to go on to fail to dethrone Myra Rivers at Into the Void X! Roxi, we do go back years and I do respect the hell out of you as a competitor, but you should know all to well that when that bell rings and you’re standing across the ring from me, it’s all business and friendship goes flying out the window.”

I added before stretching against the ropes.

“This shouldn’t surprise you either Roxi, not when you’ve been in this company almost as long as I have! As far as this Battle Royal goes, maybe we’ll team up to throw out one or two competitors, but that alliance won’t last because it’s every woman for herself and there’s ten thousand dollars on the line, something that most women in this country would do degrading things for, thankfully for us, we just have to toss a bunch of competitors over the top rope and to the floor which is exactly what’ll happen to you on Sunday!”

Next up is Andrea!

“And now I’m going from two of the women who suffered losses at Into the Void X to the only other winner in this match Andrea Hernandez or as Krystal Wolfe likes to call you, the biggest attention whore in SCW history! And you know what? I’m inclined to agree with our current Bombshell Roulette Champion because as she said on Sunday night, you consider it to be a disgrace if someone else has the spotlight!”

What a joke!

“It’s even gotten to the point where you had to go and create a meaningless title for yourself just because Christian shot down your attempts to get a Bombshell Roulette Title Shot at Krystal, now whilst I have my own spotty history with the titles in SCW I never sunk that low and the real question is Andrea, what are you going to do with that thing if you do win a title? Throw it in the trash and declare that you don’t need it? We’ll see how long that lasts but considering what you’ve said about some of the other women in the field, don’t be surprised if we all team up to toss you over the top rope and to the floor from the word go!”

Next up is Sam!

“And speaking of Andrea, I’m shifting my focus to the woman she beat at Into the Void X, Sam Marlowe! Now Sam, like Mercedes we have our history, but the main difference is that whilst I do have wins over Mercedes the same can’t be said for you, this Sunday will be when that fact changes because I’ve got my eye on the prize and a match to win whilst you will likely focus on getting revenge on Andrea, am I right?”

Off course I am!

“I understand your need to avenge that loss Sam but focussing on one opponent when there’s four other opponents in the ring with you? That’s a bad idea to put it mildly but then again, you are SCW’s Sweetheart, right? You don’t hold grudges, right? If you do go after Andrea, it’ll be when the two of you are the final two, right? Wrong, because neither you or Andrea will last that long and, well, you know what they say about nice guys, or girls in this case, finishing last, don’t you?”

Last up is Violet!

“And now onto the biggest loser in this match, Violet Amelia Holt! What’s that? What about me? Please, Violet only has one title reign to her name and that ended on its first defence, I at least have multiple title reigns despite my win/loss record! Now Violet, you claimed up and down that you were out to avenge your first title reign come Into the Void X and that Krystal wouldn’t be walking out the new champion, how is that working out for you?”

So much for history in the making, right?

“Oh yeah, you walked out without the title and Krystal became the latest Go Gym Graduate to win a title in SCW, it hurts, doesn’t it? Must’ve hurt quite a bit since you suddenly decided that you weren’t interested in going after Krystal again and instead shifted your focus to the woman you beat for the title last year at Into the Void IX Candy, you claimed to have your own agenda but know what I think? You can’t beat Krystal and you know it! And you can’t win this Battle Royal either and you know that too!”

It’s that simple.

“This match is basically me vs. my SCW Rogues Gallery because I have history with most of the women in this match, good and bad! However, Mercedes is slowing down in her old age, Roxi doesn’t have that much left in the tank either, Andrea has pissed off almost everyone else in this match, Sam can’t catch a break in general and Violet may as well be in the match to make it an even number of competitors, I’ve got my eyes on the prize and I’m not walking out without that ten grand!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up!

“On paper, this looks like a match where the outcome isn’t obvious but in practice and for the reasons I just listed, it’s not quite as black and white as that paper would have you believe! Mercedes, Roxi, Sam, Andrea, Violet, maybe I’ll buy you something nice with the prize money, like a $10 Amazon Gift Voucher, I mean it’ll be worth more than Andrea’s made up title at least, but either way I’ll strike like Blood Lighting to win this match and put that money in the bank!”

Jessie kept her PPV winning streak alive at Blaze of Glory IX defeating Char Kwan in a Falls Count Anywhere Match and come the first Climax Control of the Into the Void X Supercard Cycle Jessie found herself being left off the card, not even being included in the Main Event Gauntlet Match for a shot at the Internet Champion Myra Rivers at Into the Void X, however she used this opportunity to set two things in motion, the first thing was pointing out her undefeated streak on PPV meant that sooner or later the bosses would find her momentum impossible to ignore and accepting Team Hero’s challenge for a Tag Team Match between Team Hero and the Metal and Punk Connection at Climax Control 300 including the returning Amy Santino,

However, Climax Control 300 was three shows away and this week at Climax Control 297, Jessie was in action, this time against an old enemy of hers! That’s right, Amber Ryan, she off the infamous vanilla ice cream promo and current World Bombshell Champion was facing Jessie in a non-title match, the two women hadn’t faced off since Amber Ryan’s debut last summer and, in that time, Amber had proven herself to be a fearsome competitor, can Jessie get her win?

Backstage at Blaze of Glory IX, Las Vegas, Nevada
Sunday the 4th of April 2021, 20:00pm

Four PPVs, four singles matches, four wins in a row.

Granted they weren’t all the same stipulation, with two matches being in the Chamber of Extreme and my most recent match being a Falls Count Anywhere Match and only one normal match between them but that doesn’t matter! I haven’t lost a match on PPV since Summer XXXTreme VIII and if the fact that the show has the word “Summer” doesn’t clue you in, this will, that was back in August, it is now April.

In other words, it’s been months since I last suffered a loss on PPV, and the bosses haven’t seemed to notice that fact yet.

Speaking off matches, I’m still reeling from the Falls Count Anywhere Match from earlier in the night as I watched the match between Alicia Lukas and Maki on a monitor, I heard footsteps approaching me and I glanced up expecting either Jake or Shane.

Instead, it was my old tag team partner.

“Amy?!” I asked after doing a double take and Amy grinned before we shared a fist bump. “When did you get here?”

“I’ve been here all night I just had a lot of other people to catch up with first.” Amy responded before she sat down next to me. “How you been Jess? I noticed that you’ve had a bit of success lately.”

“A bit?” I asked with a scoff before I leaned back in my chair. “I haven’t lost on PPV in months, Char Kwan just happened to be the latest one to be added to my list, which also features Maki, Violet Amelia Holt and Evie Jordan.”

“That’s quite the list, won’t be long until the bosses take notice at this rate.” Amy responded with a grin as we watched Alicia pick up the win over Maki. “Speaking of taking notice, did you see Keira’s segment from earlier in the show?”

“It was hard to miss.” I nodded before taking a sip from my drink. “Metal and Punk Connection, one last time as the original duo against Team Hero, would be a hell of a way to celebrate Climax Control 300, wouldn’t it?”

“I’m a bit apprehensive.” Amy admitted and I gave her a curious look. “I’ve been off on maternity leave for the better part of a year Jess, whilst my body is healed up from the birth, otherwise I wouldn’t have done the Blast from the Past Tournament, I’m not sure if I could keep up with you, Roxi or Keira.”

“You did great against Myra and she’s only a few years younger than you.” I pointed out and Amy nodded in acknowledgement. “And she’s turning out to be one of the most dominant Bombshell Internet Champions we’ve ever had, makes me wonder why she never though to go after the World Bombshell Title.”

“I get the feeling that she will set her sights on the World Bombshell Title when she does finally lose it.” Amy pointed out and I had to admit, that could happen, it was at that point that I had an idea. “Something on your mind?”

“You could say that.” I responded before finishing my drink. “Do you plan to attend the next episode of Climax Control?”

“After everything that’s happened tonight, I wouldn’t miss it!” Amy nodded in response before she got the idea. “Are you thinking what I think you’re thinking?”

“If you think I’m thinking that we answer the challenge right there and then, yeah.” I nodded before leaning back in my chair. “You’ll have two weeks to make up your mind on whether you want to do the Tag Team Match, but when you do, I only ask that you confirm via text so that we can plan out how we’re going to do this.”

“Deal.” Amy nodded before we exchanged another fist bump and she stood up. “Just keep in mind that the moment I confirm is the moment we start training for the match, it’s been a couple of years since we last teamed Jess, so I want to work out any ring rust.”

“Good thing I spent the money that would’ve gone to last year’s Bloodstock trip on installing a home gym in my basement, complete with a wrestling ring.” I responded with a grin and Amy’s grin widened when she heard that. “Off to catch up with other people?”

“That and avoiding that “Troll” guy like the plague.” Amy nodded before she adjusted a bra strap. “I’ll catch you during the week!”

“Sounds good.” I nodded before Amy walked off leaving me alone with my thoughts.

Sunday the 11th of April 2021, 21:00pm

I love it when a plan comes together!

It didn’t take long for Amy to make her mind up and confirm that she was willing to do the tag team match and once our plan was confirmed, we went straight to training.

Really, the only issue we faced was keeping Amy hidden until the time was right so that her appearance would surprise as many people as possible, not even the bosses knew that she was in the building! Still, it was worth it to finally get this match confirmed and me, Amy and Team Hero returned to the backstage area following the confirmation that the match was happening at Climax Control 300 we were on high spirits.

“I just have one question for you guys.” Keira stated and I glanced up at her. “How did you manage to keep Amy’s presence hidden?”

“Hid out by the production trucks for most of the night, no one ever thinks to look there.” I responded with a shrug and Amy nodded to confirm at. “The only time I wasn’t hanging out with Amy was when I did my promo about the PPV winning streak earlier, but she had Jake and Shane to keep her company at least.”

“And it was good to catch up with them.” Amy added as she turned to them. “Hope this doesn’t effect your performances in the Main Event to badly.”

“We should be fine, getting that Internet Title Shot will be a bonus obviously.” Roxi nodded before a stag hand ran up to us. “Let me guess, bosses want to see us?”

“Nope, they are busy getting updates on The Troll’s condition.” The stage hand responded as he shook his head before handing us a copy of next week’s card each. “But the next card has been revealed.”

“Already?” I asked before I went through it and the stage hand ran off, after I went through the card and spotted that one match, I ran a hand down my face. “You have got to be kidding me!”

“You just saw your rematch against Amber?” Amy asked once she saw the look on my face and I nodded reluctantly. “At least she won’t be comparing you to vanilla ice cream again.”

“And at least you won’t have a hotel tv to break with a chair.” Roxi added and I gave them a death glare each for the references to THAT promo. “It’s non-title but if you win, you might find yourself in title contention again.”

“IF I win.” I pointed out before I read through the rest of the card and tossed it aside. “At least when I faced Amber in her debut, she was an unknown commodity, since her debut she’s proven to be one of the most vicious women the Bombshell division has seen in years!”

“At least you know what you’re getting into this time.” Keira pointed out and I had to admit that she had a point. “Anyway, we’re off to prepare for the Internet Title Match, good luck against Amber Jessie.”

“Thanks, I’ll need it!” I called after Keira before she walked off. “I’m going to need a fucking drink after the show.”

“At least let me join you, it’ll be fun to reminisce over a beer at least.” Amy offered and I nodded in agreement before we walked off.

This is going to be a long match, but I may as well get this over with.

“I had no idea what was going to come as a result of my promo about my PPV winning streak last Sunday, but apparently the bosses decided that my promo was good enough reason to book me in a non-title rematch against Amber Ryan for this Sunday’s Climax Control! The last time I faced off against Amber was her debut match in SCW, a match that has gone down in infamy for one simple fucking reason!”

A reason that I still haven’t lived down!

“The fucking vanilla ice cream comment! Apparently, I’m not allowed to get angry over everything that I had accomplished in SCW up to that point being trivialised by a newcomer by claiming that I was bland and nothing special, just like vanilla ice cream! I’m not going to dwell on that fucking comment any longer than I need too because I don’t want my blood pressure to go through the roof and besides, since then a lot has been revealed about Amber!”

And with them, comes a lot of reasons to not be excited about facing her again!

“You guessed it, it’s the fact that since her debut match against me, Amber’s been revealed to be one of the most vicious women the Bombshell division’s seen in years! Doing everything from ruthless attacks to launching fireballs into Roxi Johnson’s face to nearly fucking over the world by allowing Sin to capture Roxi’s soul! But in all that, there is one thing that’s working in my favour heading into this rematch, the fact that I know what I’m getting into this time!”

And hopefully, that’ll be enough.

“When you first faced me Amber, you were just a new face in the Bombshell division and someone no one thought twice about but then your first promo for the company went up and everything changed, including my relation to a certain ice cream flavour but I digress! But it’s been nearly a year since you signed your first SCW contract and faced me in your debut Amber and that means one thing for me, I know what to expect from you and I at least have an idea of how I can counter you when we face off on Sunday!”

It’s that simple, I think.

“If it wasn’t already obvious Amber, I’m not the same woman you faced in your debut match! Having the sin of Sloth extracted from me had a lot to do with that but besides that, I’m a lot more focussed than I was a year ago and I have a lot of momentum on my side thanks to my PPV winning streak since Summer XXXTreme VIII! Whether this will be enough for me to beat you on Sunday remains to be seen Amber, but I won’t make the same mistakes I made in your debut match!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“A lot can change in a year, aside from that Vanilla Ice Cream comment because that’s something I’m STILL mad about, and whilst you’ve proven to be one vicious bitch Amber I’m refocussed and have momentum on my side and hopefully, that’ll be enough for this match to end in my favour! This is the Unsainted Angel Jessie Salco signing off and Amber? You made a food out of me the first time around but this time? The shoe will be on the other foot!”

I went to train for my match as the scene fades.
