~*~Working Family~*~
Chicago, IL

We are there for one another. No matter what.

That has been our mantra in Mal and I’s relationship since the very beginning.

It was rare that the two of them had worked in two separate companies though, so this was something a little bit new for them both. Yeah, Mal had taken time to work in another company that didn’t have that long of life, while she was pregnant with Máire. She wasn’t about miss this for him or her brother-in-law Lachlan and sis-in-law Sierra. Especially with the brothers teaming up, just like they wanted to do.

There was a quick visit with Sierra and Lach before she was whisked off and was treated to a private box along with the other significant others that had come to watch the show but had no part in the promotion. Máire had been nothing but charming, if not a little shy to all the new faces that decided to dote on her about just how adorable she looked.

Máire spent her day turning officially 7 months old, getting spoiled and for the first time since she was born she watched as her daddy and Uncle Lach teamed up. In fact she had melted everyone’s heart when she looked at the scene in the private box and yelled out “DADA!”. As the match unfolded, the crowd erupted into cheers as Malachi and Lachlan teamed up in the ring. Bella watched proudly, her heart swelling with pride as she saw her husband and brother-in-law working together seamlessly. After a hard-fought victory, Malachi stands triumphantly in the ring, his eyes meeting Bella's as he throws up a kiss to their private box. Bella and Máire cheer loudly, with Máire even clapping.

They would be escorted to the locker room area following the match, much like the routine that Mal had established with her with Bella’s matches in SCW. As soon as they got down there they were greeted by a very happy Mal, who seemed to have all the stress knocked off of him just from one match.

There’s my girls!” Mal let out, wrapping his arms around them both, and planting plenty of kisses on them both.

You guys looked so amazing out there!” Bella giggled as Mal immediately gave her arms a rest and took Máire out of her arms.

It felt spectacular. Lach and I just flowed even with the extra guy on the team.” he was beaming from ear to ear, something that had been missing when it didn’t have anything to do with her or their daughter.

Just like old times, eh bro?” Lach spoke up behind him and gave his niece a quick little tickle which caused her to giggle and wiggle in her daddy’s arms. “What’s up cutie pie? You've gotten so big since the last time I saw you.

She’s growing so fast, she’s even crawling now.” Mal let out, the dad mode already kicking in.

Well it’s more of a scooch-slash-army crawl and sometimes she’ll get on her knees and rock....” Bella said with a shrug

Oohhh that’s the warning sign, she’ll be running before you know it.” Lach said with a sly smile, and a pat on Mal’s back.

She chases the hell-demons already with the army crawl, and it’s like they encourage her.” Mal laughed.

Between all the excitement, Máire never made it to the main event to watch her Aunt Sierra wrestle but that was easily forgiven.

After following the show and the delightful dinner at one of Bella’s favorite pizza joints in Chicago, Bella, Malachi, and Máire return to their hotel room, their hearts full from a day filled with love and laughter. As they step into the warm, inviting space, Bella feels a sense of peace wash over her, grateful for the moments they've shared as a family.

Malachi gently sets Máire down in her playpen, where she immediately begins to babble and play with her toys. Bella watches with a smile, her heart swelling with love for her precious daughter. Apparently the nap she had earlier had been just enough to give her energy.

"Look at her go," Bella says, her voice filled with affection as she joins Malachi by the window, wrapping her arms around his waist. "She's growing up so fast."

Malachi nods, his gaze softening as he gazes at their daughter. "Seems like it’s too fast," he agrees, his voice tinged with a hint of sadness. "But every moment with her is a gift."

Bella rests her head against Malachi's shoulder, feeling the warmth of his embrace enveloping her. In this quiet moment, she finds solace in the simple joys of family.

"We're so lucky, Mal. There were times I thought about it but..." Bella murmurs, her voice barely above a whisper as she looks up at him, her eyes shining with emotion. "To have each other, to have Máire...I wouldn't trade this for anything in the world."

Malachi smiles, brushing a stray lock of hair away from Bella's face with gentle fingers. "Neither would I," he replies, his voice filled with love. "You and Máire are my everything, Bella. I don't know what I'd do without you."

Bella's heart swells with love at Malachi's words, her eyes brimming with tears of gratitude. In this moment, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family, she knows that she is exactly where she's meant to be.

Together, they stand by the window, watching the city lights twinkle in the distance as they bask in the glow of their love. And as they settle into bed, wrapped in each other's arms, Bella knows that no matter what tomorrow may bring, they'll face it together, as a working family, united by an unbreakable bond.

~*~Intensified Training~*~
Back to New York

As the date of her match against Bobbie Dahl for the SCW Bombshell Roulette Title loomed closer, Bella found herself consumed by an insatiable drive to push herself even further in her training regimen. Every moment outside of her responsibilities as a mother and a wife was dedicated to honing her skills, refining her techniques, and pushing her limits to the edge.

With each grueling session in the gym, Bella pushed herself harder, determined to be in the best shape of her life for the biggest match of her career. The thought of facing off against Bobbie, a formidable opponent with a reputation for ruthlessness in the ring, fueled her determination to succeed.

But before she could step into the ring with Bobbie, Bella had another challenge to overcome: a match against Alexandra Callaway, the former SCW Bombshell Roulette Champion. Alexandra was a respected veteran in the world of professional wrestling, a friend of the family, and someone Bella looked up to with admiration and respect.

As Bella prepared for her match against Alexandra, she knew that she couldn't afford to underestimate her opponent. Alexandra's skill and experience made her a formidable adversary, and Bella knew that she would have to bring her A-game if she wanted to emerge victorious.

With each day that passed, Bella threw herself into her training with renewed determination, pushing herself harder than ever before. She sparred with her trainers, studied tapes of Alexandra's past matches, and fine-tuned her strategy for the upcoming showdown.

As the day of the match drew nearer, Bella could feel the anticipation building within her. She knew that this would be her chance to prove herself against one of the best in the business, to show the world that she was ready to step up to the challenge and take her place among the elite.

But more than anything, Bella knew that this match was about more than just victory. It was about respect. Respect for Alexandra, for everything she had accomplished in her career. And respect for herself, as she sought to prove that she had what it took to be a champion.

~*~Becoming Alexandra~*~

You know, they say that in this business, you're only as good as your last match. And that's true, to an extent. But for me, it's about more than just wins and losses. It's about legacy. It's about leaving your mark on this industry, about being remembered long after you've hung up your boots.

And when I look at Alexandra Callaway, I see someone who has left an indelible mark on this business. She's a multiple-time champion, a respected veteran, and a friend of the family. And yet, for all her accomplishments, there's a part of me that wonders why she hasn't gone further than she has in SCW.

Some may say that maybe it's because she's been content to stay where she is, to be a big fish in a small pond. Or maybe it's because she hasn't had the right opportunity, the right moment to seize her destiny and become the star that I know she's capable of being. But I know for an absolute fact that it is only a matter of time until she’s ruling the Bombshell Division, she just needs that right moment.

But as I prepare for my match against her, I can't help but feel a sense of... obligation. Like I owe it to her, to myself, to this business, to be the best that I can be. To push myself harder, to train longer, to fight with everything I've got.

Because when I step into that ring with Alexandra, I'm not just fighting for myself. I'm fighting to honor her legacy, to prove that she's not just a stepping stone on my path to greatness, but a worthy adversary in her own right.

And maybe, just maybe, if I can be half the wrestler that Alexandra is, then I'll have earned the right to call myself a champion. Not just for myself, but for her. Because in the end, it's not about winning titles or accolades. It's about earning the respect of your peers, and leaving a legacy that will stand the test of time.

~*~Rules of Engagement: Leave it in the Ring~*~

The ring was silent, save for the faint echoes of the hard night of training still echoed off the walls of Wolfslair. Bella sat alone in the locker room, the weight of the Sunday evening's events heavy on her mind. Sunday night, she had to face off against Alexandra Callaway in a match that will push her to her limits in more ways than one.

As she peeled off her sweaty workout gear and settled onto the bench, Bella couldn't help but run her game plan over and over in her head. She will go toe-to-toe with one of the most respected veterans in the business, a woman she had looked up to for years, and held her own. But in the end, it wasn't just about the win or the loss. It was about something deeper, something more profound.

"You know, Ally," Bella began, her voice soft as she addressed the empty room, "I've always admired you. From the moment I stepped foot in this business, you were someone I looked up to. You've accomplished so much, achieved so many accolades, and yet... I don’t know... you are holding yourself back?"

Bella's words hung in the air, the weight of them settling around her like a heavy blanket. She knew that Alexandra was capable of so much more, of reaching heights that few could even dream of. And yet, here she was, still fighting in the trenches, still grinding away night after night.

"I guess what I'm trying to say is... I want to be like you, Ally. Like you and mom in a way but in my own way," Bella continued, her voice trembling slightly with emotion. "I want to reach the same heights, achieve the same level of success. But more than that, I want to earn your respect. I want you to look at me and see someone who's worthy of standing shoulder to shoulder with you in this ring."

Bella fell silent, her words hanging in the air like a challenge, a gauntlet thrown down at Alexandra's feet.

She knew that the road ahead would be long and difficult, filled with obstacles and challenges that would test her resolve like never before. But she was ready. Ready to prove herself, ready to show the world what she was made of.

"And so, Ally," Bella whispered, her voice barely above a whisper, "I promise you this. I won't rest until I've earned your respect. Until I've proven myself worthy of standing in the ring with you as an equal. Until I've reached the same heights of success that you have. Because in the end, that's what it's all about, isn't it? Respect."

With those final words hanging in the air, Bella rose from her seat, a fire burning in her eyes. Tonight may have been just the beginning, but she was determined to make it count. Determined to leave her mark on the world of professional wrestling, just like Alexandra Callaway had done before her.

As she stepped out of the locker room and into the dimly lit hallway, Bella felt a sense of purpose wash over her. The echoes of the crowd's cheers still lingered in her ears, driving her forward with renewed determination.

With each step she took, Bella knew that she was one step closer to her goal. One step closer to earning the respect of one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. And she would stop at nothing to make it happen.

For Bella Madison, the journey was just beginning. And she was ready to leave it all in the ring.

~*~Blood Bath Beauty~*~
My Bloody Valentine

The backstage area is a chaotic mix of adrenaline and exhaustion, the aftermath of the brutal Blood Bath Brawl match featuring the Bombshells for the first time, still lingering in the air like a heavy fog. Bella emerges from the chaos, her body battered and bruised, yet a triumphant gleam shining in her eyes. She clutches her ribs, wincing with each step, but the euphoria of victory courses through her veins, dulling the pain for a fleeting moment.

As Bella navigates the maze of corridors, she spots Malachi waiting for her, his expression a mixture of concern and relief. He rushes to her side, his arms enveloping her in a gentle embrace, mindful of her injuries.

"Bells, mo grá, are you okay?" Malachi's voice is laced with worry as he scans her for any signs of serious harm.

Bella manages a weary smile, the adrenaline still coursing through her veins masking the full extent of her injuries. "I'm... I'm okay, Mal," she reassures him, though her voice is strained with pain. "Just a few bumps and bruises, nothing I haven't dealt with before."

Malachi's gaze softens as he brushes a lock of hair away from Bella's face, his touch gentle against her skin. "You were incredible out there, Bella," he murmurs, his pride evident in his voice. "I've never seen anything like it, and we’ve been in some wars.. But... I can't help but worry about what you went through, what you had to endure for... whatever it is you're fighting for."

"I promise, Mal, everything will make sense soon," Bella replies, her voice soft but resolute. "I just need a little time to sort things out, to figure out what comes next. I’ll be honest with you, I still don’t know what the hell I was even fighting for because Christian refuses to tell me but I’m sure we will find out soon enough. But for now... let's just enjoy this moment, this victory together."

Malachi nods, his expression filled with understanding as he pulls Bella into another embrace, holding her close as if to shield her from the world's troubles. In that moment, amidst the chaos and uncertainty, they find solace in each other's arms, united in their unwavering love and support.

I have this feeling that holding Máire may get a little tricky after tonight, for a few days at least.” Bella smirked, “I can already feel that adrenaline wearing off.

Just be happy she’s not really crawling yet, then we’d really be in trouble.

You know how they say “Be careful what you wish for”? Well.....

~*~Heal Up, Buttercup.~*~
A week later

As the week progresses, Bella finds herself surrounded by the comforting presence of her friends, Alanah and Mattie, along with Alanah’s twins and little one. The Unholy Trinity, reunited once more, gathers at Bella's home to provide support as she continues to heal from the grueling Blood Bath Brawl match. Malachi has been in the gym a whole lot more lately, especially after an unusually long and secretive conversation with Mal and Alanah’s brother, Lachlan.

Bella reclines on the couch, her body still sore and aching from the punishment she endured in the ring. Máire, now a bundle of energy with newfound mobility, crawls around the living room, her giggles filling the air with joy. Alanah's twins toddle after her, their laughter blending with Máire's, while Alanah's younger son joins in the playful chaos, his boundless energy matched only by his older siblings.

Mattie sits beside Bella, offering her a sympathetic smile as she hands her a glass of water. "How are you holding up, chica?" she asks, her concern evident in her voice.

Bella manages a weak smile, accepting the glass with gratitude. "I'm getting there, slowly but surely," she replies, taking a sip of water to soothe her parched throat. "My ribs have been the worst of it honestly. I keep being told to be patient, that my prize for winning will be revealed soon enough. But honestly, I'm more focused on just... recovering right now."

Alanah nods in understanding, her gaze flickering between Bella and her children as she juggles the demands of motherhood, Alanah though used to wrestle before the whole mommy thing so she gets it. "Hey, you did amaze-balls, girlie," she says, her voice filled with admiration. "But I get it, healing takes time. And with Máire on the move now, you've got your hands full."

Bella chuckles softly, watching as Máire explores her surroundings with boundless curiosity. "Tell me about it," she replies, a mixture of exhaustion and affection in her tone. "But I wouldn't have it any other way. She's growing up so fast."

Alanah leans forward, her eyes sparkling with mischief as she nudges Bella gently. "So, spill it, Bells. Any juicy gossip from the wrestling world? You know we're dying to hear all the behind-the-scenes drama."

Bella chuckles, shaking her head in amusement. "Oh, you know how it is. Same old rivalries, same old drama, some weird ass people and being chased out for their bullshit," she replies, her tone lighthearted. "Although, I did overhear some interesting rumors about a new promotion popping up. Mal and Lach have been talking about it lately, even though they don’t want me to hear. They’ve been looking for somewhere to go to team up together and they way he bolted out of here earlier to head to the Tin Can..."

Mattie raises an eyebrow, intrigued by Bella's revelation. "So with everything that you’re doing with SCW and now this...That could shake things up a bit," she muses, her mind already spinning with possibilities. "How are you guys going to handle it if it’s true?"

I’m not sure but we will figure it out, I’m sure.” Bela laughed.

Alanah nods in agreement, her curiosity piqued. "Definitely something to keep an eye on." she suggests optimistically. "But enough about wrestling gossip. How are you really holding up, Bella? You took one hell of a beating in that Blood Bath Brawl match."

Bella's smile fades slightly as she shifts position, wincing as a twinge of pain shoots through her ribs. "Honestly, it's been rough, but it was worth it," she admits, her voice tinged with exhaustion. "But having you two here, along with Mal and the kids, makes it a little easier to bear. And knowing that Christian has something planned for me, well, it gives me something to look forward to."

Mattie reaches out, placing a comforting hand on Bella's shoulder. "Just take it easy, chica. You've earned a break," she says softly, her gaze filled with empathy. "And if there's anything we can do to help, you know we've got your back."

Bella nods gratefully, feeling a surge of warmth and gratitude for her friends' unwavering support. "Thanks, guys. I don't know what I'd do without you," she murmurs, her voice thick with emotion. "Now, enough about me. Let's focus on enjoying this time together, okay?"

~*~Navigating New Beginnings~*~
Few Days Later

The soft glow of evening light spills into the living room, casting warm shadows across the walls as Bella reclines on one of her favorite chairs reading and occasionally looking up at her daughter, her body still tender from the recent match. Máire plays nearby, in a play pen area to make sure she stays safe, her laughter filling the room with joyous melodies. Obviously very content in her time on the floor now that she’s a bit more mobile. Malachi enters the room, a hint of weariness in his eyes despite the excitement that simmers beneath the surface.

Bella's gaze flickers to Malachi as he settles beside her, concern etched into his features. "Hey, babe," she greets him softly, reaching out to intertwine their fingers. "How was your day?"

Malachi offers a tired smile, his fingers tracing soothing circles on Bella's hand. "Busy," he admits with a sigh. "But productive. I wanted to talk to you about something..."

Bella's brow furrows slightly, sensing the weight of Malachi's words, so much so that she places a bookmark into her book and places it on her lap. "What is it?" she asks, her voice tinged with concern.

Malachi takes a deep breath, steeling himself for the conversation ahead. "I... I've signed a new contract," he confesses, his gaze searching Bella's for any sign of disappointment or resentment.

Bella's heart skips a beat, a mixture of emotions swirling within her chest. "A new contract?" she echoes, her voice barely above a whisper. "For which promotion?"

Malachi shifts uncomfortably, his gaze dropping to his hands as he struggles to find the right words. "It's... It's with NPWA," he admits reluctantly. "I know it's not SCW, but... it's an opportunity I couldn't pass up. Lach and I have a chance to team up like we’ve been talking about. It doesn’t start until June but I wanted to be upfront about it because there is an honest chance that we may be apart at times especially if you are booked in SCW for something and I have to be wherever they may be."

Bella's heart sinks at the realization that Malachi won't be returning to SCW anytime soon. She bites her lip, fighting back the wave of sadness that threatens to overwhelm her. "I understand," she murmurs, forcing a smile despite the ache in her chest. "It’s gonna...We just never have not been there for one another since we started this whole thing together."

Malachi's expression softens, his fingers gently lifting Bella's chin to meet her gaze. "I know, mo chroí and it’s not saying that it will happen but..." he admits, his voice filled with sincerity. "But this is something I need to do for us, for our family. It's an opportunity to provide for Máire and give her the future she deserves."

Bella nods, her eyes shining with unshed tears. "I know," she whispers, her voice choked with emotion. "And I'm proud of you, Mal. Always. And I get it, you and Lach want to team up, it just stings a bit."

They sit in silence for a moment, the weight of Malachi's decision hanging between them. But despite the uncertainty that lies ahead, they find solace in each other's presence, united in their commitment to their family.

"We'll make it work, Bella," Malachi says softly, his voice filled with determination. "No matter what."

Bella nods, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "Yeah," she agrees, her heart swelling with love for the man beside her. "Together."

And in that moment, as Máire's laughter fills the room and the evening sun bathes them in its golden glow, Bella knows that no matter what challenges lie ahead, they'll face them together, as a family.

Together, they'll navigate these new beginnings, hand in hand, heart to heart.

My apologies for the misunderstanding. Here's a monologue from Bella about her upcoming match with Georgie Robertson:

~*~Rules of Engagement: Articles of Battle~*~

Bella stands alone in the center of the ring, a determined glint in her eyes as she addresses the camera, her voice steady and resolute.

"Georgie Robertson. Fate seems to have a way of circling back on itself, doesn't it? Here we are again, facing off in the ring, two warriors with our own agendas and our own battles to fight. But this time, things are different. This time, the stakes are higher."

Bella's gaze pierces through the camera, her words carrying the weight of her convictions.

"You see, Georgie, I know what you're thinking. You're sizing me up, thinking this is going to be an easy victory for you. You're thinking you can exploit my injuries, use them to your advantage. But let me make one thing abundantly clear—I am not defined by my bruises, nor am I limited by my pain. In fact, pain seems to be a familiar friend to me at this moment and it has given me a new lease on my career."

There's a fire in Bella's eyes as she speaks, her determination burning bright.

"I may not have walked away unscathed from My Bloody Valentine, in fact there isn’t one person, male or female that didn’t come away with a whole new bruise from a place that they had long forgotten about, but I walked away with something far more valuable, besides the win of course— and that is pride. Pride in knowing that I faced adversity head-on, that I stared down my fears and refused to back down. And I took the unknown and made it my personal bitch. And come Sunday, I'll carry that pride with me into the ring, a shield against whatever you throw my way."

Bella's voice carries a note of defiance, a challenge issued to her opponent.

"You may hold that briefcase, Georgie, but don't mistake it for true power. If anything it makes you a threat to whatever champion you may or may not want to target. You wanna talk about true power? True power comes from within, from the indomitable spirit that refuses to be broken. My body may have And while you may have the advantage on paper, I have something far greater—heart. Heart to fight, heart to endure, heart to rise above. If any of the current SCW Bombshell Champions were smart, they would be watching our match rather closely, to the point you should be nervous. But instead, it’s like you barely made a whisper and you aren’t a concern for them. What does that say for the woman that holds a chance like that briefcase in your hands that you aren’t feared and they rather think you don’t exist. That kind of thought has got to hurt way worse than any bruised rib. A bruised ego is far far worse."

Bella's words resonate through the arena, her conviction echoing off the walls.

"So, Georgie, let's make this crystal freaking clear. Sunday won't be just another match. It'll be a clash of wills, a test of strength, and a battle for respect. You want to make a point? Well, I've got news for you—I'm not here to be your statement. I'm here to make one of my own. And that statement is simple—I am fierce, I am relentless, and I am ready to fight. "

With a steely gaze and a determined nod, Bella exits the ring, leaving no doubt in anyone's mind that come Sunday, she'll be a force to be reckoned with.

~*~We All Have Our Demons~*~

Back in the day when my mother’s career was still fairly young, she was a part of a hellacious match that was called “Elimination Incarceration”.

First of its kind ever and hasn’t been repeated since.

It’s something that Laura, herself doesn’t like to talk about much because she always said it did something to her mentally. Considering what had happened post that match, it was putting it rather mildly.

Maybe it was being locked away in a single cell, hanging high above the arena with no food, no water, no one to even talk to...hell they were blindfolded and were told no interaction even when they used the restroom...but the match changed her.

A match in any cage can shorten a career. But this one revitalized it in such a way that she formed one of the most dangerous alliances ever and turn into one of the most heartless people.

This was about 2 years before we were reunited but even my dad, David, refused to let me see the match after I had to miss it the night before.

Mom even hid it from plain sight so I could go back and I never understood why until one day I was home by myself, found it and decided to watch it.

I was maybe 15 at the time and she had come home just in time to see me on the couch, my mouth dropped opened and eyes wide watching as her and her friends that formed Omega had destroyed the now former champion, with my own mother holding what was then the PWSWF World Championship, the ring destroyed, bodies of the now former champion, the referees and the personnel laid out around the destroyed ring.

And all at the center was the strongest woman of them all.

My mother.

And she was smiling without a regret in the world.

From there on out, the landscape of that entire promotion changed.

Laura Phoenix sat atop the world, her pack of wolves ready to do her bidding.

And the conversation that followed...

I’m pretty sure she seemed to have thought that I would have thought differently of her. I was still pretty young when that happened, that wasn’t the woman that I had seen when I officially became a fan of hers before I even knew she was my actual mother.

“Now I know why David refused to let me see it right away- and why you and Nick hid it.”

“Nick didn’t do anything, I decided to hide it.”

“Why? So I didn’t know that my own mother was capable of something so...” -looking back at the TV, I just couldn’t help myself but feel 40 million feelings all at once and I couldn’t pick just one, “I don’t even know the words.”

She would sit down next to me and look at it herself, “Baby, I want you to understand something, when it comes to what happened during this time, the powers that be left me with no other choice. It left guys like Hawk, Fuzz, Desmond, we had no choice but to do what we did.”

I couldn’t help it, “You had no choice but to take out everyone?”

“Omega did what needed to be done. The old guard did everything to hold each and every one of us down and we made a pact, we took our chance and it paid off for each and every one of us.” I watched as my mother sat back and looked up at the vaulted ceiling of the home that she and Nick built, she was looking like she was trying to unlock all these memories, “We changed the very fabric of the entire landscape because we had literally no choice. The fact that we were all locked up for 24 hours, hanging way above that arena...well that’s the part that made us practically feral.”

I really didn’t know what to say to that, I knew all of these guys in a way. Especially one known as Desmond, who I called Uncle Des, because he had been working in PWSR with mom, Nick and others.

“Over time, they understood and even respected what we had to do.” she broke up the silence.

“Why did you think you should have hidden this from me? Did you think that I couldn’t have handled it?”

“I didn’t want you to think any differently of me, Bella. I know you know the difference between the heels and the faces when it comes to the business. I’m sure there are things that Nick has done that he’s not proud of either that he’s scared to show you too. I also know how you dream of stepping up when you get through school and becoming a wrestler yourself, even though part of me wishes you wouldn’t at times like these.”

I couldn’t help it, I just laughed.

“What also concerns me is all the hell you went through before you and I were reunited.”

“That’s what the therapist is for mom and I’m doing just fine thank you. The nightmares are few and far between and when they do pop up I am able to handle it. I’m not that little girl anymore that was tortured by a demon.”

“No, but you are and have always been my priority. We don’t know what the long term effects are and who knows what the future may hold.”

“No one can tell that, mom. I just know that no matter what, I want to follow in your footsteps and that is never going to change. Yes, I am going to get my education. Yes, I’m going to go to college. Who knows, maybe I’ll finally get a boyfriend and start a family during all of this but it’s in my blood, mom.”

And she smiled at me.

“I know. I just...I don’t wanna lose you like I lost myself. Who knows when a match like this will appear for you...but just know this, it’s going to test you in every form.”

She wasn’t lying.

~*~Training Grounds: Forging Resilience~*~

Amidst the bustling atmosphere of the Wolfslair Gym in New York, Bella found herself immersed in a rigorous training session alongside her mother, Laura Phoenix, and Alicia Lukas. The air crackled with intensity as they helped Bella hone her skills, preparing for the impending Blood Bath Brawl.

Under the watchful eye of Laura, Bella pushed herself to the limit, her determination unshakable despite the physical strain. Each move, each strike was executed with precision, a testament to her unwavering resolve.

Alicia Lukas, a seasoned veteran in her own right, offered guidance and support, sharing her wealth of experience to help Bella navigate the challenges ahead. Together, they drilled tirelessly, fine-tuning their techniques and strategies for the brutal match looming on the horizon.

As the training session wore on, Bella felt herself and her breath steady, from the possibilities of each weapon that she may be able to get her hands on all the way to the cardio build. They even talked about the possibilities of what the cage could do and to use it to her full advantage. They pushed each other to excel, drawing strength from their shared determination to emerge victorious in the face of adversity.

Amidst the clang of weights and the sound of grunts, Laura's voice cut through the din, her words a rallying cry to fuel their determination.

"Keep pushing, girls," she urged, her gaze steely with resolve. "This match will test every ounce of strength and resilience that she possesses."

Bella redoubled her efforts with those words, channeling her energy into each movement with a focus that could have easily been just as she would do when she was in school. And in a way, this was her learning tree. Alicia and her mother had been there, done that, got the t-shirt so many times that if it was anyone else, it would have been almost an insult to her. They were the professors, she was the graduate level student.

And she was going to soak it in, even if it was going to bend her seemingly well handled mental state...if she needed to break it to make it through, she was going to do it.

Because she was done just settling for what should have been and she was ready to take her destiny to a whole new level.

With each move, Bella's mind raced, grappling with the uncertainties that lay ahead. What if she wasn't strong enough? What if she couldn't measure up to the formidable opponents awaiting her in the ring? The doubts gnawed at her confidence, threatening to undermine her resolve.

Yet, amidst the chaos of her internal struggle, Bella found moments of clarity. She drew strength from the support of her mother and Alicia. Their words of encouragement pierced through the fog of uncertainty.

She would lay there, drenched in sweat for a moment almost wondering if she could break if she got up, or if she got up and they would break her.

"You've got this, Bella," Laura's voice rang out, cutting through the noise of the gym. "Trust in your training, trust in yourself."

Alicia nodded in agreement, her gaze unwavering. "You're stronger than you realize. Believe in your abilities."

Their words resonated within Bella, sparking a flicker of defiance amidst the chaos of her thoughts. She clenched her fists, digging deep within herself to find the strength to press on. With each breath, she silenced the doubts that threatened to consume her, channeling her focus into the present moment.

In that gym, amidst the clatter of weights and the sounds of sparring, Bella forged a resolve as unyielding as tempered steel. She refused to let fear dictate her actions, refusing to surrender to the doubts that sought to undermine her confidence.

As the training session drew to a close, Bella stood tall, a sense of calm settling over her. The war within her raged on, but she faced it with a newfound determination. The Blood Bath Brawl awaited, and she would meet it head-on, armed with nothing but her steel resolve and the support of those who believed in her.

She considered herself blessed.

~*~Rules of Engagement: War Within~*~

As Bella prepares for the Blood Bath Brawl, her mind races with thoughts of her formidable opponents. Alone in the quiet of her training space, she reflects on each adversary, contemplating their strengths and potential strategies.

"Crystal Zdunich... she's a force to be reckoned with. Agile, cunning, and fearless. Her high-flying maneuvers could catch me off guard if I'm not careful. I'll need to stay on my toes and watch for any openings she might exploit. And those weapons... I have to be prepared for anything she brings into the ring."

"Then there's Mercedes Vargas. She's a powerhouse, pure and simple. Her strength is unmatched, and she's not afraid to use it. I'll have to rely on my speed and agility to evade her attacks. And those steel chairs... I can't let her get her hands on one of those. I'll need to outmaneuver her and use the environment to my advantage."

"Ariana Angelos... the technician. She's precise, calculated, and methodical. Her submission holds are deadly, and she knows how to wear down her opponents. I can't let her dictate the pace of the match. I'll need to stay one step ahead, using my resourcefulness to counter her technical expertise."

Each opponent presents a unique challenge, but Bella is determined to rise to the occasion. She knows that victory won't come easy in the chaos of the Blood Bath Brawl, but she's ready to face whatever comes her way. With her eyes set on the prize, she braces herself for the ultimate test of skill, strength, and resilience.

As Bella ponders the looming Blood Bath Brawl and her adversaries within it, she can't shake the realization of what this match represents for each woman involved, including herself.

"This match... it's not just about physical strength," she murmurs, the weight of the impending chaos settling heavily on her shoulders. "It's about endurance, about pushing past your limits, about facing your demons head-on."

She envisions the six-sided ring surrounded by a steel cage, the domed roof sealing them all inside, trapping them in a battleground of their own making.

"For Crystal, Mercedes, Ariana, and myself, this isn't just another bout. It's a trial by fire, a test of our mettle in the most brutal of environments," she continues, her voice tinged with a mix of anticipation and trepidation. "Every weapon at our disposal, every blow exchanged, every drop of blood spilled... it's all a testament to our resolve, our willingness to endure whatever comes our way."

Bella knows that this match will push them all to their limits, both physically and mentally. It's a crucible of combat where survival is not guaranteed, and only the strongest will emerge victorious.

"And for me... it's more than just proving myself to the world," she reflects, a steely determination hardening her gaze. "It's about confronting the doubts and insecurities that linger within me, about proving that I am capable of rising above the chaos and emerging stronger than ever before."

In the crucible of the Blood Bath Brawl, Bella knows that she will be tested in ways she never imagined. But she's ready to face whatever challenges come her way, knowing that victory lies within her grasp if she has the courage to seize it.

As Bella contemplates the Blood Bath Brawl, a storm of conflicting emotions brews within her, fueled by the memories of her recent clash with Crystal and the looming specter of the upcoming match. She can't help but wonder if she's capable of unleashing the same ferocity that her mother exhibited in the infamous Elimination Incarceration.

"Part of me wonders... am I capable of that level of brutality?" she muses, her thoughts swirling in a tempest of uncertainty. "After facing off against Crystal in that brutal street fight, I felt something awaken within me. A primal instinct, a hunger for victory at any cost."

The echoes of their battle still reverberate in her mind, a visceral reminder of the raw power she possesses when pushed to her limits. It's a power that both terrifies and exhilarates her, tapping into a primal wellspring of strength that she never knew existed.

"But can I tap into that darkness again? Can I embrace the chaos and let it consume me, just like Mom did all those years ago?" she wonders, her voice tinged with a mix of apprehension and curiosity. "I don't have all the answers, but I can't wait to find out."

For Bella, the Blood Bath Brawl represents more than just a chance at victory. It's an opportunity to confront the demons that lurk within her own soul, to explore the depths of her own strength and resilience. And as she stands on the brink of battle, she knows that whatever awaits her in the ring, she'll face it head-on, ready to embrace the chaos and emerge stronger on the other side.

Amidst the bustling energy of the arena, voices murmured in admiration of Bella's recent performance.

"That Phoenix Splash was incredible," remarked one spectator, awe evident in their tone.

"Reminds me of her mother's fearless style," another chimed in, recalling past wrestling legends.

"Since her return after having her kid, Bella's been on a whole new level," observed a third, noting the shift in her attitude and intensity. "It's like she's fighting for something more."

Unbeknownst to the crowd, Bella sat in solitude between the stage boxes, relishing the aftermath of her hard-fought victory. Despite the physical toll, she felt a surge of vitality coursing through her veins, a testament to her resilience.

The upcoming Blood Bath Brawl loomed on her mind, a daunting yet exhilarating prospect. An elimination chamber-style match filled with weaponry and formidable opponents awaited her. Crystal, Ariana, Mercedes... each name sparked a mix of anticipation and determination within her.

Lost in thought, Bella's mind danced with possibilities. She mentally crafted strategies and envisioned innovative tactics to outmaneuver her adversaries. Her recent street fight with Crystal had ignited a fire within her, fueling her readiness for whatever awaited in the ring.

As she contemplated her next move, Malachi's voice broke through her reverie, his concern palpable.

"Bells? Are you alright?"

Startled, Bella met his gaze with a tired but genuine smile, grateful for his unwavering support.

"Yeah, just needed a moment to collect myself," she assured him. "Before facing the chaos of the night and ensuring I'm in top shape for mom duty."

Malachi crouched beside her, his touch a comforting presence amidst the chaos.

"I was worried when I couldn't find you," he admitted softly.

Bella's heart swelled with gratitude for his concern. "Thanks, hun. Couldn't have done it without you."

With a tender kiss on her forehead, Malachi extended his hand, ready to guide her through the challenges that lay ahead.

"Let's get you cleaned up and back to our little one," he suggested, his love unwavering. "And maybe a drink to calm ya down just a little bit."

“For you, or me?”

“Both? I wonder if your mom is willing to keep an eye on her granddaughter for the night because good christ...that was hot.”

“You are encourageable, Mr. O’Connell.”

“And you are my hot ass wife and it’s not like we are going anywhere tonight anyways.”

“I seem to recall the last time this kind of thing happened....I ended up pregnant.” Bella said.

~*~ A Notable Shift~*~

In a quiet corner of the Wolfslair gym, Laura, who had taken up helping train people around the gym, and Bella find a moment to catch their breath amidst the whirlwind of preparation for the upcoming Blood Bath Brawl. Laura, ever perceptive, notices a subtle yet significant change in Bella's demeanor.

The gym echoes with the clang of weights and the muffled sounds of trainers shouting instructions. Amidst this cacophony, Laura's gaze settles on Bella, her daughter, who stands amidst the chaos with a newfound sense of purpose etched across her features.

"Dang kid," Laura begins, her voice carrying a note of maternal concern as she approaches her daughter. "There's something different about you lately. I can't quite put my finger on it, but you seem... more focused, more determined."

Bella, momentarily taken aback by her mother's keen observation, pauses to consider her words. It's true; something has shifted within her, a quiet yet undeniable transformation that she struggles to articulate.

"Do you really think so, Mom?" Bella finally responds, her voice betraying a hint of uncertainty mingled with gratitude. "I suppose I've just been feeling... different lately. Especially after that street fight with Crystal. It's like something inside me shifted."

Laura nods knowingly, her maternal instincts guiding her as she studies her daughter's expression. "Ah, I see. Sometimes it takes a real test of strength to awaken something within us. And you certainly showed everyone what you're made of out there."

Encouraged by her mother's understanding, Bella's smile grows a little wider. The weight of her recent victories and the challenges that lie ahead seem a little lighter in the presence of her mother's unwavering support.

"Thank you, Mom," Bella murmurs, her voice soft with emotion. "Your support means everything to me."

With a tender embrace, Laura reassures her daughter, her arms a comforting anchor amidst the uncertainty of the days to come. "Always, Bella. Just remember, you're capable of more than you know. And no matter what, I'll always be here for you."

Feeling a surge of warmth and gratitude wash over her, Bella leans into her mother's embrace, momentarily finding solace in the unconditional love that binds them together. With Laura by her side, she feels emboldened, ready to face whatever challenges the Blood Bath Brawl may bring.

As they part ways, a renewed sense of determination courses through Bella's veins, her resolve strengthened by the unspoken bond between mother and daughter. With each step forward, she carries with her the echoes of their conversation, a reminder that she is never truly alone in her journey.

~*~Feels Familiar~*~

Máire is teething.

Nothing unusual for a little one that is growing quickly and considering that she was only just a few days away from being a full 6 months old, it was bound to happen.

One day was never the same with that little girl and when she was in the mood to chew on everything from toys, to fingers and it didn’t matter who, mom, dad, her own, to Luka’s tail. That last one even caught the husky by surprise and since that moment Luka has apparently grown eyes out of the back of her head and any time the miniature one has made a move, Luka jumps and runs.

Mal hasn’t stopped laughing about it since then.

Even Salem hasn’t remained by Máire for longer than a few moments, even asleep.

Now where is this going, you may ask?

It is going to the point where sleep has become a fickle creature in the House of O’Connell.

Máire's teething phase had transformed the once tranquil nights in the House of O'Connell into a series of unpredictable, sleep-deprived escapades. The familiar creaks of the wooden floor beneath Bella's weary feet resonated through the dimly lit halls.

As Bella padded softly into the nursery, she found Máire nestled in her crib, little hands exploring a teething toy with newfound intensity. The soft glow of a nightlight cast a warm ambiance, revealing the weariness etched into Bella's features.

"Hey there, little one," Bella whispered, her voice a soothing melody in the hushed room, “Still awake I see.

She scooped Máire into her arms, cradling her against her chest. Máire's eyes, wide with curiosity, locked onto Bella's tired but loving gaze.

The nursery was adorned with subtle touches of whimsy, from the gentle murals on the walls to the comforting hum of a lullaby drifting from a musical mobile. Even the giant Stitch that she was gifted by Carter and Miles, sat in a corner watching over everything. Yet, even the most enchanting surroundings couldn't entirely mask the sleepless nights that had become an unwelcome visitor.

Bella settled into the plush rocking chair, the rhythmic creaking echoing in tandem with Máire's soft coos. “Thank goodness for mommy’s thinking ahead and getting the teethers.” She gave her daughter a kiss on the forehead, noting that with teething came a slight fever. “Hopefully daddy will get that medicine and we can knock down that fever and we can all get some sleep.

It was very obvious that Máire was battling between exhaustion and pain, that her whimpers and swiping at her eyes with her free hand made Bella smile sadly. “I know, baby girl. How about we tell a story while we wait for daddy to get back? You just listen to your mama’s voice and soon it will all be better.

Bella sits back and thinks for a moment, “OH! I know! Do you know that it was just a couple of weeks ago that it was a year to the day that mommy found out that you were going to be coming into the world? You see, for almost a whole year your daddy and I had this beautiful vision of making our little family a little bit bigger by bringing a little one into the world. We had some heartbreak, a lot of testing and we found out that because of something your mama went through when she was born, that she needed just a little bit of help from the doctor.

And during this time, mommy had to take some medicine and that in turn gave her some major mood swings. And you see during this time your mama had to deal with a egotistical little witch by the name of Crystal. Crystal thought that she ruled the whole kingdom, no matter how many times she kept getting stomped down.

Bella shifted a bit and turned the teether ever so slightly in her daughter’s little hands, “Well your momma was given a huge opportunity by the rulers of the kingdom to finally, once and for all show that the evil witch had no power over the land. So, without so much as a glimmer of fear in her voice, your mother stepped up and challenged the witch. Of course, for all of her bravado, the witch didn’t dare to speak back but did manage to show up for what was a battle for the ages. In the end, while the witch did give your momma a real fight, she was slain and as a gift for her hard fight, your mommy got to drive her out of the arena in a big ambulance. Of course, your mommy battled her own restraint from basically turning it into an amazing episode of Monster Jam, but she did deliver the witch to a local medical facility to be treated for her battle wounds and the kingdom lived at peace for a long, long time.

Bella smiles at the memory of it and then looks down at her daughter who is just captivated by the voice of her mother for a moment, “It is said, in hushed whispers of course, it was at that moment that I was able to finally relax enough and allow the treatments to work and it wasn’t too far into the future after that we found out that you would be coming. So, I guess, in a weird way your mommy has to thank Crystal for what she did. Máire fusses a little bit and Bella brings her up and starts to rub her back shushes her for a moment but it doesn’t seem to work so Bella stands and begins to pace the room. After a moment, she looks at her daughter with a smile, “If mommy hadn’t been able to let go of all her frustration and pent up anger, then we might have had to wait just a little bit longer for the most beautiful princess in all the land.

And that she is.” Mal’s voice breaks in as he’s standing there watching his girls, and obviously listening to at least part of Bella’s story, “But of course your daddy had a big part to play in your creation as well.

Well that’s a given but she doesn’t need to hear the dirty parts and how when you picked me up at the hospital we didn’t exactly make it all the way back to the hotel...” Bella smirks, covering her daughter’s ears for that last part, “Did you find the meds?

Mal holds up the box as he walks into the room and joins Bella and Máire in their little dance, brushing back the soft brown hair and gives Bella a kiss before kissing his daughter’s cheek, “Caught them just before they closed up for the night, thankfully they took pity on an exhausted father and helped me find it immediately. How’s my little girl doing?

The teether is helping but I think it’s the fever that is keeping her up right now.” Bella says, “Thankfully your brave warrior momma has her own white knight to help keep her sanity in check now and again.

Mal just rolls his eyes and begins to open the box up, “You’re starting to sound like the dweeb.

Bella looks at Máire with a smile, “Uncle Spinelli does tell the best stories in the most glorious fashion, but I think having a mommy original story helped too.

Well for as many stories that she has read and continues to tell, your momma is the best...” Mal looks at his wife, and gives her a kiss before he takes Máire out of her arms, “Even at giving the medicine to help their darling princess the dose she needs so the whole house can get something resembling a decent night’s sleep.

The neon lights of Reno's streets painted a vivid tapestry of colors as Bella Madison strolled along the bustling sidewalks. The distant sounds of slot machines and laughter drifted through the air, but for her, the focus was on the impending street fight with Crystal Zdunich.

"This city," Bella mused to herself, her steps measured and purposeful. "A place of chances, of risks. The perfect setting for a street fight, don't you think, Crystal?"

She moved through the lively crowd, each person probably oblivious to the storm that was brewing on the horizon. Bella's blue eyes flickered with a mix of determination and introspection, her thoughts a silent monologue.

"Crystal, we've danced in the ring before, left our marks on SCW's canvas. But tonight, it's not about the cheers of the crowd or the echo of the bell. It's about you and me, navigating the streets of Reno, leaving a trail of chaos in our wake, and maybe some blood too. And perhaps our unfinished business will go finished for at least a little while, until we get back to Vegas and do it all over again in that insane match that we find ourselves in."

As she passed by a street performer, their music became the rhythm to her internal dialogue. Bella's gaze remained fixed ahead, the anticipation of the impending showdown palpable.

"You've earned your place in SCW again, Crystal, climbing back into the spotlight. But remember that I've evolved as well. I’m a little older, I have a whole lot more to fight for and the streets of Reno will bear witness to a different kind of battle tonight – unbridled, relentless and potentially career shortening and once again, bloody. A perfect beginning to what will be ending at My Bloody Valentine."

The cityscape served as a gritty backdrop, the street lamps casting long shadows. Bella's hands clenched into fists, the weight of the moment settling on her shoulders.

"We share an interesting history, Crystal, but tonight, we redefine it. No ring ropes, no turnbuckles. Just ground beneath our feet and the determination to prove who stands tall."

As she approached an alley, the ambient noise of the city heightened. Bella's eyes gleamed with a fierce resolve. "This is our canvas now, Crystal. Let the streets tell a story of grit. And when it's over, Reno will remember the night the my fire met the your fury."

With that, Bella Madison stepped into the dimly lit alley, ready to let the streets of Reno bear witness to the street fight that would etch a new chapter in their shared legacy.

~*~Start at the Bottom ~*~
Two Weeks Ago

The deafening roar of the crowd slowly faded into a distant hum as Bella Madison walked through into the gorilla position and into the backstage area. The taste of victory still lingered on her lips, a sweet triumph that fueled her steps. She glanced down at her hands for a moment, still almost seemingly at awe of what had just transpired.

Maybe Georgie should have put up that Golden Briefcase but alas, the victory was all that was needed.

As she rounded the corner, the familiar sight of the backstage area unfolded before her. And there, waiting for her, were the two constants in her life—Malachi and Máire. Mal stood with a proud smile, holding their daughter in his arms. Máire, unaware of the wrestling world's tumult, though appreciating the attention she got from all the individuals in the SCW locker room, gurgled happily.

Bella's eyes lit up as she approached, the fatigue from the match giving way to a surge of adrenaline at the sight of her family.

"Look who's back!" Mal called out, his voice filled with a mix of pride and excitement.

Bella chuckled, feeling a weight lift off her shoulders. "Back and with a win under my belt. Not a horrible way to kick off 2024."

Máire reached for her but Bella seemed hesitant for a moment, “Someone wants her mama.

I’m still a little sweaty, sweetie.” but Máire keeps insisting, twisting and whining in her daddy’s arms, “Well, I guess you’re still getting a bath later. Fine, come here goofy girl.

Mal handed Máire over to Bella, and the little one cooed in delight at the familiar warmth of her mother's embrace and a little giggle as Bella pressed a couple of kisses on Máire's cheeks before turning to Mal, who wore a mischievous grin.

"You make it sound so easy," he teased.

She rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh, yeah, a walk in the park, dodging everything Georgie could throw at me and all. She did manage to catch me solid in one of those spots that rung my bell a bit."

Mal laughed, his arms wrapping around both Bella and Máire. "Well, you made it look easy. And we've got a celebration waiting for you back at the hotel."

Bella's expression softened, a warmth filling her eyes. "I couldn't ask for a better cheering squad. Máire, are you ready to celebrate Mama's victory?"

Máire responded with a delighted squeal, as if in agreement. The trio started to make their way through the bustling backstage area, the sounds of chatter, laughter and camaraderie blending with the distant echoes of the crowd still cheering for the night's events.

As they headed towards the women’s locker room, Bella couldn't help but steal a glance back towards the area where the show was still taking place. The distant cheers were a reminder of the journey she was on—the victories, the setbacks, and the unwavering support of those who mattered most.

And something interesting caught her attention, one of the many televisions lights up with the face of Krystal Wolfe...the woman that has been claiming she deserved the title shot that Bella rightfully had back in December, the woman that claims that she should have been the holder of the Golden Briefcase. A lot of shoulda coulda woulda from a woman that talks a whole lot but has ZERO follow-up.

Bella scooches Máire up her hip a little bit and smirks, “Hope she got the answer to her question, Máire. Now, let’s see if she has a follow up.

Together, they made their way down the hall. The O’Connell family, a tight-knit unit, moved forward, ready to celebrate the triumphs of the present and the victories yet to come.

~*~Just Keep Growing~*~
January 12th

In the cozy living room of their townhouse, Bella Madison sat on the couch, gazing at the sleeping form of Máire, the bassinet that they kept in the living room just for times like these. The room was adorned with the soft glow of fairy lights, creating a warm and tranquil atmosphere. Outside, the snow fell gently, blanketing New York in a serene white embrace in the city that seemingly never sleeps.

Earlier that day, Bella, Malachi, and their husky Luka had ventured out into the snowy wonderland, creating memories that would be etched into the fabric of their family narrative. Máire, bundled up like a little snow princess, had experienced the magic of winter for the first time, her laughter harmonizing with the crunch of snow beneath their boots and with Luka going absolutely bonkers in the snow that she hadn’t seen in just over 2 years.

Now, as Máire slept peacefully, Bella couldn't shake the nagging doubts that whispered in the recesses of her mind. The echoes of the wrestling world lingered, questioning her choices, her return to the ring so soon after giving birth. Despite the victories, the concerns of whether it was the right decision gnawed at her.

Malachi, perceptive as always, noticed the subtle furrow of her brow and the hint of uncertainty in her eyes. He joined her on the couch, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.

"You're doing amazing, you know that?" he said, his voice a comforting presence in the quiet room.

Bella sighed, her gaze still fixed on their daughter. "I know, but...I still can’t help but wonder what if I rushed things? What if I should've taken more time?"

Malachi leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "Mo fhíorghrá, you're a force of nature. You've faced so many challenges head-on, and you've come out on top and helped us along the way. I know it’s hard to judge with her, and with me going through a bit of a career change, and you're navigating it with absolute grace, just like you always have."

She looked up at him, uncertainty etched in her features. "But, Mal, what if I'm not giving Máire the time she deserves? What if I'm missing out on precious moments? What if I miss out on all of her first."

He smiled, a reassurance that transcended words. "Bells, you're the best mother she could have. Every decision you make is out of love for her. And top it off, you're not missing out on anything. You're creating this amazing legacy, chasing dreams, and to top it off, and one of the many things that I love about you, is being unapologetically you. Máire will grow up surrounded by that, and it'll shape her into someone extraordinary."

Bella's gaze softened, absorbing his words. "How do you always know what I need to hear?"

Malachi chuckled, his smile bright enough to light up the room even brighter than it was before, his eyes filled with affection. "Well, I pay attention. I notice the way you look at me when I dance with Máire or sing to her. I see the love in your eyes, and I thought, maybe, just maybe, that's what you needed too." He gently took her hands, pulling her to her feet. "So, how about a little dance to remind you of the joy in the present?"

Bella couldn't help but smile as Malachi led her to the center of the living room. He would start to sing the soft melody of a familiar tune of Forest Blakk’s “If You Love Her” flows from his lips. He knows how much she loves it considering it was their song that they danced to at their wedding. It filled the room as he twirled her around, their laughter echoing in harmony with the music. In that moment, surrounded by the glow of love and the enchantment of a snowy New York evening, the doubts melted away.

They danced and Bella found solace in Malachi's arms, like she always has, and it only reassured that the journey she was on, both in the ring and as a mother, was not a solo endeavor. Together, they waltzed through the challenges, embracing the rhythm of their shared story.
~*~The Rules of Engagement: The Minor Grievances~*~

Bella Madison sat in the room that had been dedicated to her massive collection of literary arts, a solitary figure amid the quietude. Though she was quietly reading, you could feel the anticipation for her upcoming match with Harper Mason hanging in the air, a palpable energy that surrounded her like a shroud.

Stretched out over one of the most comfortable seats in the whole house, she would occasionally glance at a mirror that was standing across from her, staring at her reflection in the mirror, her blue eyes reflecting a mixture of focus and determination.

In her head the hushed whispers of the Bombshells, comparing her to her mother, seemed to echo in her mind, but she refused to let them become a cacophony. She would shake her head for a moment, and go back to her book, flipping a page rather flippantly.

"I hear them, you know," she mused softly, as if sharing her thoughts with an unseen confidant. "They keep bringing up Mom's matches, acting like it's some kind of measuring stick for me. But I won't let them define who I am in that ring."

Her fingers traced the edges of the rather aged leather bound book that was in front of her, a favorite story of hers amongst the collection of masterpieces that came in all different forms that surrounded her. The contrast between the tattered old bind and the fire in her eyes painted a vivid picture of the internal struggle she faced.

"Harper's good. Damn good," she admitted, a flicker of respect in her gaze. "But this isn't just about winning. It's about proving that I'm not a carbon copy of Mom. I respect her legacy, but I won't be confined by it."

As she spoke, the room seemed to shrink, the walls closing in on the solitary woman that had always touted herself as the “Second Gen Not to be Fucked with”.... Yet, her resolve remained unbroken.

"I've been in this business long enough to know that perception can be as tough an opponent as anyone in that ring. Harper may be a generational, very talented, talent, but she's not wrestling against Laura Phoenix like she did all those months ago. She's wrestling against Bella Madison."

A quiet determination settled in her expression, and a subtle smile played on her lips.

"You see, I've set my own rules for this year, and they don't include living in the shadow of the past. Harper, just like everyone else, will see a different side of me in that ring. It's not about proving them wrong; it's about proving myself right."

I know I have since day one had no issue in the moniker of the “Second Gen” but it seems to be all the focus. YES! You faced my mom while she came out of retirement for a little bit and that seems to be all anyone wants to talk about. How about focusing on what is actually going on. Not one single soul had me penciled in to take on Julianna at December 2 Dismember. Hell, not a single person thought that I was going to make it past the first round of that little tournament. I gave her the biggest fight yet and she gave credit where credit was due but DAMMIT it doesn’t seem to be enough.

She slams her book shut and sits up.

You wanna know what pisses me off? There aren't a whole lot of Bombshells that actually strive to be better. They are happy being stagnate or they are so fucking petty that they will blame EVERYONE but themselves for their shortcomings. Thankfully Harper, I know deep down that isn’t you, I hear about you being inside of GO Gym and doing your damnedest to grow but sweetie, do yourself a solid favor and ask yourself, are you doing enough? I never settle, between being the best mother I can be to my little girl, the best wife to the absolutely most supportive husband known to humankind, every day I work to keep improving. I’m not looking to be the next Laura Phoenix, I’m not looking to be the next Nick Madison, I’m not even looking to even be the next Alicia Lukas...I’m looking to be me. We can talk about the generations that were to the generations that have yet come, but if you don’t give your all...what legacy are you going to leave if you settle for nothing but the absolute best?

That’s what I am striving for. THAT is what everyone should be striving for and if you’re not then you need to stay the hell out of my way.

With a final, resolute nod, she pushed herself up out of the chair and headed towards the door. The quiet room absorbing her words.

Climax Control Archives / Rules of Engagement: 2024 Edition
« on: January 05, 2024, 10:05:09 PM »
January 1st, 2024. Not just a new year for everyone around the world, but an extra-special day for Bella Madison and Malachi. Three years ago on this day, he surprised her by arranging their wedding with the help of their closest friends and family. He told her that 2020 had been such a shitshow of a year that he wanted to start 2021 on the right foot by getting married to the love of his life and best friend. Now, they get to celebrate the start of every new year by also celebrating their love for each other.

This year, Mal had sneakily hinted to Bella that he had some plans in motion for their anniversary, and she was dying to know what he was up to. While most people saw him as a cold, sarcastic asshole, Bella was one of the very few people that saw his tender, caring side. After all, it’s not every day that a girl gets wooed in the most romantic city in the world. But it came out even more after the birth of their daughter. Mal absolutely adored little Máire, and she loved watching him dote on her.

Even now after four years together, Mal still managed to keep the romance alive in their relationship. It wasn’t even just about the big, grand gestures, like the trip to Greece for her birthday in 2022, or the belated honeymoon trip to Paris later that same year. It was the random bouquets of flowers she’d find on the kitchen island. The coffee runs to her favourite cafe, along with extra sweet pastries. Or sometimes, it was just the way he’d look at her during quiet moments in the house when he thought she wasn’t paying attention to him. The way his eyes softened and a smile would light up his face…it made her heart race just as much as their first kiss.

But that didn’t mean that she still didn’t love when he did make the big, romantic gestures. Every time he did, he stopped at nothing to make sure each time was a memorable occasion. So she was eager to see what he had planned for this year’s celebration together. Their New Year’s celebration the night before had been pretty quiet, just the three of them watching movies at home before switching over to watch the ball drop at midnight in Times Square on TV. New Year’s Day had been pretty much just as quiet, the two of them taking care of a few chores for the majority of the day while also tending to Máire. But around 4 pm, as Bella was lounging on the couch watching Máire play on the floor, Mal came downstairs fresh out of the shower and immediately plopped down on the couch next to her. “You know, I’m kind of surprised that you haven’t been needling me incessantly about my plans for tonight.

Well, now that you mention it…” She put her phone off to the side and started poking him in the sides repeatedly. “Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me!

He laughed as he tried to swat her arms away. “Alright, alright! It’s about that time anyways!” When he couldn’t fend off her attacks, he quickly rose up from the couch and scooped up Máire in his arms. The four month old squealed and laughed as she bounced excitedly in her daddy’s arms. “Well, Miss Máire, shall we finally let your mama in on the super-big secret?

The little girl giggled again as her blue eyes stared expectantly between her parents. Bella huffed as she rose up from the couch to join them. “What exactly do you have up your sleeve, mister?” Bella’s blue eyes narrowed as she stared at her husband, arms folded over her chest.

Hey, I promised a special anniversary and I’m just trying to deliver,” he said with what he hoped was a charmingly disarming smile as he leaned in to kiss her lightly. “Now, if you’ll make your way to the bedroom, you’ll see part one of your gift from me.

She raised an eyebrow, but turned to go up the stairs as he followed up after her. When she got to the bedroom, a large flat box laid in the middle of their bed, tied with a red bow. She turned to look at him suspiciously again, and he simply nodded his head towards the box as he adjusted Máire in his arms. She reached out and pulled on one end of the ribbon to release the bow and slowly lifted the lid of the box. Nestled among a bundle of gold tissue paper was a beautiful royal blue dress that had some streams of gold laced through it along with a matching jacket. Bella gasped as she lifted it out of the box and ran to the mirrored door of their closet. “MAL! This is absolutely gorgeous!

OK, full disclosure. I may have had an assist from Mattie on that gift,” he chuckled. “But the rest of the night is all me. Now, hurry up and get yourself ready. The Uber will be here in an hour and a half.”

She whirled around on him, eyes wide. “But what about Máire? We need a sitter and I don’t know if we can-

He pressed a finger to her lips. “Already handled. I’m on my way to drop her off with Alanah and Jack for the night. Now, when I get back you better be ready, miss.” He gave her a swat to the ass as he headed out the door and into their daughter’s room to get her overnight bag ready. After getting everything together and bundling Máire up in her carseat, he let Bella know that he was on his way and headed out to the car while she started up the shower to get ready.

An hour later, Mal returned from dropping Máire off at his sister’s house and headed up the stairs. Bella was sitting at her vanity table, putting the finishing touches on her makeup. When he saw her in the dress with her hair done and her makeup on, he stopped for a moment in the doorway to admire her. She caught sight of him in the mirror and smiled. “See something you like?

If I didn’t already have these plans made, I would say ‘fuck it’ and we’d just stay home,” he chuckled as he walked up behind her, softly kissing the back of her neck. “You look absolutely stunning, mo ghrá.

In no time at all, the couple were dressed in their finest. Bella in the gifted dress from her fashion designer bestie Mattie Cormier, and Mal in a navy blue suit with a white dress shirt and no tie. They left the townhouse and hurried to the car waiting at the side of the road for them. When Bella saw that it wasn’t an Uber, but rather a luxurious town car, she turned with a raised eyebrow to Mal. “I thought you said we were taking an Uber.

He shrugged nonchalantly, a coy smile appearing on his face. “The first of many surprises in store for you tonight, my love.” He gestured towards the car, where the chauffeur held the back door open. The couple climbed inside, and soon they were pulling up in front of a Brazilian steakhouse. Bella’s eyes were wide as she stared at the lavish building. “I’ve been wanting to try this place forever! I can’t believe you got reservations here!

He smiled as he held out his arm for her to take, and they walked into the restaurant together. After being seated in a private booth, they had a leisurely dinner where they spent a good hour and a half talking, laughing and enjoying each other’s company. Once they were finished with their meal they ventured back outside where the car was once again waiting for them, and this time it took them to the front of Central Park. As they exited the car again, Bella looked over to see a horse-drawn carriage waiting a few feet away from them. She looked towards Mal with an incredulous expression. “You didn’t.

I did.” He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and led her to the carriage. “All these years we’ve lived here and never done this. I figured this was the perfect time.” He helped her up into the carriage before climbing in after her. They arranged the thick faux-fur blanket over themselves as the driver started the carriage at a leisurely pace through Central Park.

Bella let out a happy sigh as she snuggled closer to Mal, resting her head on his shoulder. “Just when I think you couldn’t surprise me any more, you go and do something like this.

He chuckled, kissing the side of her head. “Well, the surprises keep coming. After this, we’re headed to our luxury suite at the Plaza for the night.

Her blue eyes lit up in excitement. “Just like Eloise!

Mal stared at her for a moment before letting out a groan and dropping his head. “Leave it to you to turn a romantic gesture into a book reference.

She giggled and lifted his face to press a kiss against his lips. “Sorry, couldn’t help it. But for what it’s worth, I am feeling very romanced right now.

He returned her kiss with a smile. “You’re lucky you’re so damn adorable and that I am madly, impossibly in love with you.

They cuddled back up together and continued to enjoy their ride, watching the wintery sights of Central Park pass them by. “I just still can’t believe you did all this for us,” Bella said, her face glowing with the reflected light of a lights display still set up in the park.

Well, truth be told, it’s more for you. Last year, you put everything on hold to carry our baby girl, and in almost no time after that you were back in the ring, raring to go.” He cupped her cheek with his hand and stared at her, running his thumb along her cheekbone. “And I know that this year, you are going to get everything you want. You are going to sprint up ladders, shatter glass ceilings and finally be acknowledged as the amazing talent you are. And you know that I will be right there with you to support and encourage every single step. So, consider this night a celebration of everything you’ve already accomplished and everything you’re about to accomplish in the new year.

By the end of his speech, Bella’s eyes were full of tears but a happy smile was stretched across her face. One errant tear slid down her cheek as she leaned forward and tenderly kissed him. “Happy New Year, Mal.

Happy Anniversary, Bells.

A Storm on the Horizon

Denver's crisp winter air greeted Bella Madison as she stepped off the plane, a refreshing change from the tumultuous emotional weather that had been swirling around her since December 2 Dismember. The snow-covered landscape of the city seemed to offer a clean slate, a chance for redemption after the disappointment of falling short in her bid for the Bombshell World Championship.

As the O'Connells navigated the snowy streets, Bella couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of the city's winter charm. Malachi pushed Máire's stroller through the powdery sidewalks, the bundled-up infant nestled comfortably, oblivious to the tension that lingered in her mother's thoughts.

They settled into their cozy accommodations, the warmth of the hotel a stark contrast to the chill outside. The Denver skyline stretched before them, a panorama of possibilities, both scenic and competitive.

Later that evening, as Bella sat by the window, gazing at the city lights, her mind inevitably turned to Georgie Robertson, the holder of the Golden Briefcase. The weight of the upcoming match pressed on her, a mix of determination and anticipation.

It was a new year, after all. What happened in 2023 in the ring didn’t matter now. It was time to focus on the future.

"Mal," she began, her voice carrying the echoes of her reflections, "Georgie is no ordinary opponent. That briefcase she carries... it's like a storm cloud hanging over every championship in SCW. Anytime, anywhere, she can cash it in. That kind of unpredictability is unnerving." Bella smirks, “Almost makes me thankful that I didn’t win at December 2 Dismember.

Malachi, leaning against the hotel room door frame, crossed his arms, his eyes fixed on Bella. "We've faced storms before, love. This is just another challenge, another opponent. Yeah, Georgie's got that briefcase, which right now is nothing you need to worry about, but you...you have got your own arsenal of skills, your own resilience. And you know damn well that you're not alone in this."

Bella nodded, appreciating the steadying presence of her husband. "I know. It's just... I can't let December's disappointment seep into this match. I promised myself when I came back that I wasn’t going to let things get to me and I promised that 2024 was going to be something new. Georgie's a wildcard, and I need to be ready for anything."

Malachi moved closer, kneeling beside her, his hand gently finding hers. "Bells, you're the woman who has faced down challenges, climbed ladders, and left a mark in the history of SCW. December was a setback, not the end. This match with Georgie is a chance to show the world that you're not defined by one night."

She met his gaze, gratitude mingling with determination. "You're right. Georgie may be unpredictable, but so am I. Denver will be the stage, and I'll weather whatever storm she brings. I won't let the disappointments of the past dictate the triumphs of the future."

Malachi smiled, squeezing her hand. "There’s my girl. You've got this. Now, let's enjoy the night and focus on what lies ahead. And in this city, they are all waiting for the next chapter in the story of Bella Madison."

As they embraced, the city lights outside seemed to shimmer with promise, the storm on the horizon only fueling Bella's resolve to conquer whatever challenges awaited her in the squared circle.

A Glimpse into the Journal of Elizabeth

As the clock struck midnight on New Year's Eve, a wave of resolution washed over me. 2024 isn't just a continuation of the calendar; it's a canvas waiting for the strokes of ambition and determination. The echoes of December 2 Dismember may still linger out there in the multiverse, but in the crisp air of the new year, there's a chance for a fresh start.

This isn't about resolutions; it's about rules – rules I've set for myself, a roadmap to navigate the challenges, and grasp the opportunities that lie ahead. A Current List of Rules that can be edited, added-on to or deleted as the year goes on, but you will get the general gist as we move along.

Rule One: Learn from setbacks, don't dwell on them. December's defeat stung, but it won't define me. It's a stepping stone, not a stumbling block. Besides, if I was going to do nothing but stumble since my return, I would not have gotten to that main event spot to close out 2023.

Rule Two: Embrace the unpredictable. In the squared circle, unpredictability is a constant, and opponents like Georgie Robertson, wielding the Golden Briefcase, epitomize that. She thinks she's the underdog, the badass. Well, this year, I'll show her what a true underdog can achieve. I'll dance with unpredictability and turn it into my ally.

Rule Three: No shortcuts. Championship gold isn't handed out; it's earned. I proved this one was already a possibility but we are going to build on this. Climbing ladders, breaking barriers – that's the path to success. The golden briefcase may offer a shortcut, but I've never been one for shortcuts. I'll earn my spot at the top, each victory a testament to skill, not chance.

Rule Four: Be Relentless. The pursuit of greatness requires unyielding determination. The disappointments of yesteryear won't deter me. Georgie, with her briefcase and bravado, is just another challenge to conquer. Relentlessness is my armor, and victory is the only option.

Rule Five: Stay True. In the whirlwind of competition, it's easy to lose sight of oneself. But not this year. I'll stay true to who I am – the resilient, skilled, and determined athlete who has left an indelible mark in SCW. The woman who thrives under the spotlight and isn't defined by a single night.

So, here's to 2024, a year of challenges, victories, and uncharted territories. Denver may be the first battleground, but it's not the last. With these rules as my compass, I'll navigate the storms, face the unpredictability, and emerge victorious. This isn't just a new year; it's a declaration. The rules are set, and I'm ready to play the game.

Just a quick addition that I thought of late at night when Máire woke me up at 4am to get her butt change.

Rule Six: Don’t let ANYONE tell you that you can’t. They are fucking lying and they’re just scared because they know damn well that when it comes to the standard it’s only YOU that is holding yourself down.

Rule Seven: Make them Pay Attention.

Nothing else needs to be said.

~*~ A Moment of Breath~*~

The O’Connell residence buzzed with activity, which lately had been nothing new. Malachi paced in the living room, glancing at the clock every few minutes. He couldn't shake the worry gnawing at him. Bella had been pushing herself relentlessly, dividing her time between family, work, and preparation for her upcoming match at December 2 Dismember. It was as if she was juggling the weight of the world, and Malachi couldn't help but feel the strain himself.

Almost like the whirlwind that she was, she came bursting through the door like a bundle of pure energy. He walked up and she gave him a quick kiss and ran off to check in on Máire real quick before blazing directly into the kitchen.

Mal stood amazed and amused for a moment. He glanced at the kitchen where Bella was sorting through Máire's baby bottles, her expression focused but tinged with exhaustion. The late-night feedings and the demands of motherhood seemed to be taking a toll, yet she soldiered on, determined to be both a loving mother and a fierce and very well prepared competitor.

Malachi took a deep breath, deciding it was time to address his concerns. He stepped into the kitchen, finding Bella meticulously organizing baby formula and baby food on the counter.

"Bells," he began, his voice gentle but filled with worry.

She looked up, a tired smile playing on her lips. "Hey, babe. What's up?"

He crossed his arms, leaning against the kitchen island. "I can't help but notice you've been running on fumes lately. Between taking care of Máire, your training, and everything else, it feels like you're stretching yourself thin. Are you sure you're okay?"

Bella sighed, setting down a bottle. "I'm fine, Mal. I've got everything under control."

Malachi reached out, gently cupping her face. "Mo grá, I know you're strong, and you're capable of handling a lot, but you don't have to do it all. I see the determination in your eyes, and I love that about you, but I also see the fatigue."

She leaned into his touch, closing her eyes briefly. "Mal, December 2 Dismember is a big deal, and less than a few days away. I need to be at my best. I can't afford to take it easy now."

He nodded, understanding her drive but still concerned. "I get that, and I believe in you more than anyone, but I also believe in balance. You're not just a wrestler; you're a mother, a wife. You've got a lot on your plate, and I don't want to see you burn out."

Bella took a deep breath, her shoulders sagging a bit. "I appreciate your concern, Mal. I really do. It's just... I can't help but feel this is my moment. I can't let anything slip through my fingers. Maybe I can fit in a nice mental breakdown after Christmas, you know the perfect time of the year after we pull of the impossible best first Christmas of all time. I just, I don’t want anyone to think I’m slacking and let it just pass me by like every other time."

Malachi smiled, gently kissing her forehead. "Hey, you'll get that moment, Bella. I have no doubt. But I also want you to take care of yourself along the way. Your well-being is just as important as any championship, especially for my sanity and our daughter’s. She feeds off that kind of thing, you know?"

She nodded, a mix of gratitude and determination in her eyes. "I hear you, Mal. I'll take a breather, I promise. Please don’t worry, years of finals in college and those overnight study binges prepared me long ago."

He grinned, pulling her into a reassuring hug. "That's all I ask. We're in this together, remember?"

As they embraced, Malachi couldn't shake the worry entirely, but he hoped his words had resonated. Bella was a force to be reckoned with, but she was also human, vulnerable, and deserving of rest and support.

She broke the silence with a surge of excitement, “OH! Before I forget, I finally figured out what to get dad for Christmas. So we need to keep an eye out for that delivery. Only one left is your mom and maybe something for Miles and Carter, but Miles is impossible to buy for anymore.

Bells...the silence? Remember? We were having a moment here.” Mal grumbled.

I’m sorry, I just wanted to tell you before I forgot.” Bella smirked at her wonderful, caring and grumpy husband.

Okay, how about this? You leave the bottles alone for the rest of the night, I will draw you and I a hot bath. Máire is pretty much down for the night anyways, but we’ll take the monitor in and you will relax with me. And if anything else pops into your head during all of that, you can text me multiple single line texts for the rest of the week?” he says, with a hopeful look in those beautiful blue eyes that she fell in love with.

Deal.” Bella sighs, “Go on, I just need to do one thi-” Mal grumbles loudly. “JUST ONE THING! I’ll be right there.

Mal just rolls his eyes, because there is just no arguing with Bella when she gets her mind set on something and leaves her to finish whatever she may have had in mind. Bella watches him go and pulls her phone from her back pocket and begins to type away and we suddenly hear Mal’s phone go off followed up by a:

REALLY ELIZABETH?!?!

HERE I COME!!!

Certainly, let's craft a scene involving Bella's sister-in-law Alanah and their best friend Mattie. We'll infuse a touch of Christmas spirit while keeping it lighthearted.

*~*~ A Surprise Intervention ~*~*

It was a crisp winter morning, and Bella had been rushing around the house, preparing for the trip to Tucson for December 2 Dismember. Malachi was at work, Máire was napping, and she thought she had a few hours to organize her thoughts and pack her bags.

Little did she know, her plans were about to take an unexpected turn.

The doorbell rang, and when she opened it, there stood Alanah and Mattie, wearing matching mischievous grins.

"Surprise!" they chimed in unison.

Bella raised an eyebrow, looking between the two of them. "What's going on?"

Alanah stepped forward, holding a festive scarf in her hands. "Well my darling Bella, we've decided you need a break before heading to Tucson. A little Christmas cheer to lift your spirits."

Before Bella could protest, Mattie appeared with a plate of freshly baked gingerbread cookies. "And these are just the beginning. We've planned a surprise day for you."

As they ushered Bella into the living room, the girls’ had taken in the space was transformed into a cozy Christmas haven for Bella and Mal’s first Christmas as a whole family. Twinkling lights adorned the walls, the Christmas tree stood in the corner, and the air was filled with the scent of pine and cinnamon.

Ok you and Mal did a wonderful job.” Alanah said.

Well some of it was Spinelli, but Mal was such a huge help too.” Bella couldn't help but smile despite her initial confusion. "Okay, so you got me. What's the plan?"

Alanah handed her the scarf. "First, you need to get into the holiday spirit. We're taking you out, and you're wearing this."

With a playful eye roll, Bella draped the scarf around her neck. "Fine, but I have to be back in a few hours. I need to finish packing."

Mattie winked. "Don't worry, we've got that covered too."

The day unfolded with laughter, festive activities, and quality time with Alanah and Mattie. The Unholy Trinity reunited for a little while at least. They went ice skating at Rockefeller Square, sipped on hot cocoa, and even got some light shopping done. Bella, usually so focused on her responsibilities, found herself letting go of the stress, if only for a few hours.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, they returned back to Bella’s home. The living room had transformed again, this time into a makeshift dressing area. Alanah held up a small garment box.

"So, Mattie and I had a little chat, and we figured you shouldn't be stressing over figuring out what gear you should be packing for the show. So... we took the liberty of brainstorming and of course Mattie and her magic fingers went to work and we brought your gear for the show."

Bella's eyes widened in surprise. "You what?"

Mattie grinned, unwrapping the box to reveal the shimmering attire. "Consider it our Christmas gift to you. Now, go try it on! You've got a fabulous evening ahead and I wanna see this in person before you leave!"

With a mix of gratitude and amusement, Bella changed into her wrestling gear, feeling a renewed sense of energy and camaraderie. Mattie Cormier strikes again along with a matching ring jacket that would bring out the holiday spirit even in the gloomiest of grumps.

And yes, Malachi approved wholeheartedly.

As they headed out for the evening, Bella couldn't help but think that sometimes, the best surprises come when you least expect them.

~*~Bella Madison’s Opus: Movement Two~*~

It was one of those nights at the O’Connell House, Máire had stubbornly refused to go down for the night until she got to hear her daddy sing her to sleep. Since she has finally learned to roll over, keeping her, Luka AND Salem away from the tree has turned into a full-time chore.

Bella had spent the entire week, when she wasn’t being kept super busy with Máire, watching matches, promos and more so the ONE that Julianna had left for her personally.

The more she heard it, the more it reminded her of a record that had a scratch in it and just skipped on one particular part over and over and over again.

Now for those that don’t know, Bella is a collector. She loves to collect books, both old and new and she also has a particular love of music. One that she had garnered from her parents. Both Laura and Nick had an extensive music library and it had seemingly rubbed off on her. Malachi also had a pretty impressive collection. So years ago, when they moved in together and his stuff combined with her’s, the collection had become even more impressive. And as funny as that may have seemed, she sat in an overstuffed chair in their living room, next to a refurbished record player that was playing one her favorite records, that she had had for years, and that seemed to have caught a skip in of itself.

‘I’ll be the best...or nothing at all.’

That’s where it repeated multiple times before she sighed and reached over and lifted the arm and looked at the now busted record.

Well, that’s something else that can be easily replaced.

She slid it back into its sleeve and sat it off to the side before she just sat back and enjoyed the temporary peace and quiet but she could feel it coming so...let’s let it out.

Julianna, it's cute that you spent so much time trying to dissect my SCW career and question my motivations. I appreciate the effort you put into that little desert promo of yours. But, sweetie, let me enlighten you.

Bella leaned forward, her eyes focused on an imaginary Julianna across the room, as if she were speaking directly to her adversary.

You say I'm not ready? That I question my own worth? Funny how you conveniently pick and choose moments from my career to fit your narrative. You want to talk about my return match against Bobbie Dahl? Fine, let's talk about it. It was a wake-up call, a moment of self-reflection. But what you failed to grasp is that it ignited a fire within me, a fire that's been burning brighter with every match since.

Bella's tone grew more assertive, her words carrying the weight of determination.

You want to question my legitimacy as a contender? Let's look at your logic. Seleana and Krystal, according to you, are no longer main event contenders. So, by beating them, what does that make me? An afterthought? A stepping stone? No, Julianna. It makes me the next in line, the one who stepped up when others faltered.

She raised an eyebrow, challenging Julianna's assessment with a confident smirk.

You've got this obsession with titles and accolades. You want me to name a time I was a Blast from the Past finalist? Well, let me tell you, I'm not defined by a single tournament or a missed opportunity. But to simplify it for you, I never have been. Doesn’t mean that I can’t but I just haven’t. At least, not yet.

Bella shrugged off the dismissive tone of Julianna's critique, embracing her own journey with a sense of pride.

You scoff at my mixed tag team title win with Sass N Bash, dismissing it as if it's irrelevant. But let me remind you, that win represented unity with my husband, and the essence of what professional wrestling should be about. It's not just about championships; it's about the moments that resonate with the fans and within you.

Her gaze softened, reflecting on the cherished memories intertwined with her wrestling career.

And yes, you're right; I haven't won a singles championship in SCW. Yet. But that does not and will not ever define me. What defines me is my ability to learn, adapt, and keep pushing forward. I'm not stuck in the past, Julianna. I'm evolving.

Bella's expression turned resolute, a quiet determination emanating from her as she addressed Julianna's critiques.

As for your little contender's tournament rant, let me clarify. I earned my spot by defeating Seleana and Krystal, two formidable opponents. It's not about who should have been there; it's about who proved themselves in the ring. And that, my dear, when the dust settled, is me.

She held a metaphorical mic, emphasizing her point with a rhetorical flourish.

Now, let's talk about motivation. You question what drives me? It's not about proving you wrong or making anyone proud. It's about my passion for this business, my hunger to leave a mark, and yes, being a proud mother adds to that motivation. I fight for myself, my family, and the fans who believe in me.

Bella's eyes glinted with a fierce determination, channeling her inner fire into her words.

Your motivation, on the other hand, seems to be centered around making grand statements, asserting yourself as the alpha, and proving something to yourself. That's all well and good, but championships are earned in the ring, not just through words in a desert. You screamed into the void, en masse, about how you are the only deserving Bombshell on the roster to be the SCW Bombshell World Champion when in fact, I feel like you are trying to convince yourself more than anyone else.

Her words cut through the hypothetical distance, challenging Julianna's self-assured narrative.

So, Julianna, you can keep questioning my motivations and trying to diminish my accomplishments, but come December 17th, in that ring in Tucson, actions will speak louder than words. I'll prove that I'm not just ready; I'm destined to be the SCW Bombshell's Champion. As for that glass slipper? Save it for your fairy tales. I’m not some damsel in distress who needs people to save me. In fact, I am quite particularly fond of doing this moment in my journey all on my own. Yes, I have Mal, Máire, Mom, Alicia and the whole Wolfslair behind me. But in reality, it's the championship gold that will be shining on my shoulder when it's all said and done.

She concluded with a confident nod, the imaginary confrontation in her mind leaving her prepared for the challenge ahead.

*~*A Surprising Victory*~*
Climax Control
Phoenix, AZ

Her music and the cheers of the crowd still echoed through the arena as Bella Madison made her way backstage, the taste of victory lingering on her lips and buzzing off her sweat soaked skin. The backstage area was a hive of activity, with wrestlers, crew members, and staff moving about in a chaotic yet organized dance that was as much a part of the show as the matches themselves.

Bella, still catching her breath, couldn't help but replay the match in her mind within moments of getting backstage and she was sure that she would go back and watch it all over again with Mal, her mother and even those at Wolfslair. Krystal Wolfe had been a formidable opponent, and the odds seemed stacked against her. Yet, against all expectations and the surprise of a few, Bella emerged victorious. Her heart raced with the adrenaline of the unexpected triumph.

As she navigated the labyrinthine halls of the backstage area, a mix of disbelief and elation played on her features. She half-expected someone to tap her on the shoulder and say, ‘Sorry, it was a mistake. Krystal actually won.’ But the reality of the situation settled in with each step.

Malachi, who had been watching the match from backstage, spotted Bella making her way through the corridor. A proud smile crept across his face as he approached her. "Bells, you did it! I can't believe it, but you did it!"

Bella, still processing the moment, looked at Malachi with wide eyes and a laugh on her lips, "I know, right? I mean, I knew I had it in me, but against Krystal? That's a huge win!"

Malachi enveloped her in a congratulatory hug. "You're incredible. I've never seen you move like that. It's like you tapped into a whole new level out there."

Bella chuckled, the reality of the victory sinking in. She tucks her head, still trying to play it out on how it just all happened, "Maybe I did. Apparently, I did. I guess there's nothing like a surprising win to make you question everything you thought you knew about yourself."

As they continued down the corridor, the backstage crew and fellow wrestlers offered congratulatory nods and cheers. Bella's victory had sent ripples through the locker room, proving that, on any given night, anything could happen in the world of professional wrestling. That, and she was about to head to December 2 Dismember to take on the SCW Bombshell Champion.

Reaching the privacy of the Bombshell’s dressing room, Bella let out a long exhale, pulling away from Mal with a smile, "I need a moment to process this. It's like I stepped into a parallel universe where I can defeat anyone."

Malachi grinned, leaning against a nearby wall, reaching out and pushing a few strands of Bella’s hair away from her face, "Well, get used to it. You earned this, and it's just the beginning. Who knows what's next for you?"

Bella smirked, a newfound confidence gleaming in her eyes. "Actually, that part is simple. December 2 Dismember against Julianna. I got 2 weeks to somehow get even better. BUT...I think...right now, I need a shower and maybe a moment to let this victory sink in. This is a game-changer."

Malachi nodded, squeezing her hand. "Take your time. I'll be right here, celebrating the unexpected triumph." Bella gives him a look, as if to say give her a little bit of time, and he smirks, “Ok, I’ll go get Máire and then we’ll get some take out and pray she sleeps through the night.

That perks Bella up a bit, “Ooo, Chinese and Pizza?

OR, Bells.” Even after 4 months after having Máire it seemed like her appetite hadn’t changed much and her metabolism still was burning on high.

But she couldn’t resist pouting just a little bit, with her hands on her hips, “Both, Mal!

And we see where Máire gets it from,” Mal says with a roll of his eyes and a peck on his wife’s lips, with a slight shove towards the door, “Go take your shower, sassmaster.

She smiles and before she steps over the threshold, “Love you too, Oscar.

As Bella disappeared into the dressing room, the sounds of the bustling backstage area faded into the background. The victory had not only surprised the fans but had left an indelible mark on Bella herself. As she stood under the shower, letting the hot water wash away the physical and emotional strains of the match, Bella Madison pondered the unpredictable nature of the wrestling world and the new challenges and victories that awaited her on the horizon.

Alright, girl...you got yourself there. Now let’s finish it.

*~*Magical First Encounter with Santa*~*
34th Street, NYC

It was a crisp December day in the heart of New York City, and the O'Connell family was braving the bustling streets, making their way to the iconic Macy's. Máire, bundled up in her specially crafted Christmas dress by Mattie Cormier, or as she's come to be known as Auntie Mattie, looked like a little snow princess in Malachi's arms.

Malachi, slightly apprehensive about navigating the holiday chaos, glanced at Bella with a hint of worry. "You sure about this, Bells? The crowds, the lines... I'm not sure Máire is ready for all of this."

Bella, ever the optimist, flashed a bright smile. "Come on, Mal. It's Máire's first Christmas, and we have to make it magical! Macy's Santa is a tradition, and we can't miss it. She may not remember this but we will and we will be able to tell everyone about it. Besides, we saw how she was with the tree this week. I think it’s going to be amazing. Just think of this as another core memory for us as a family."

I just don’t see why we had to go here. Your grandfather told you he was going to have Santa visit his business for all his employee’s families. That would be less toned down than what this is going to be.” Mal was not one for crowds to begin with and even with it being a weekday, the whole area was constantly buzzing with people shopping.

Bella turned on her heels and placed her hand on her husband’s chest as he kept a firm grasp on Máire, “Babe, trust me on this, okay? I know that you don’t do well with the huge mad rush of the Christmas season, but this is something amazing. You’ll see.

With determination, they maneuvered through the festive crowd, Máire's wide eyes absorbing the twinkling lights and the hum of excitement. As they approached Santa's enchanting workshop, adorned with sparkling decorations, a sense of holiday wonder filled the air.

Ooo, someone is already soaking it all in. You see all the pretty lights, don’t ya sweetie?” Bella said as she removed Máire’s tiny winter coat with her still in Mal’s arms.

Mattie's creation for Máire, a dress adorned with tiny snowflakes and a matching headband, captured the essence of the season. Bella couldn't resist but to gush over her daughter. "Look at our little snow princess! Mattie did an amazing job."

Malachi nodded, appreciating the craftsmanship but still a bit uneasy about what awaited them. "I just hope she doesn't get overwhelmed."

Stop being such a worry-wart. She feeds off that energy, ya know?” Bella said with a smirk.

We always hear about the nightmare stories of the first time babies meet a stranger like this. She can barely stand having people fuss over her when we go to SCW. You don’t see her tucking herself into me when people come up to just say ‘hi’ to her.” Mal grumbles.

Once again, are you sure that’s just not her feeding off your energy of being genuinely anti-social?” Bella says with the raise of her eyebrow.

Mal goes to retort but stops himself and shrugs, “....well...maybe. Ok, you make a fair point. Cut me some slack though, Bells. I’m protective about my girls.

And we love you for it, don’t we Máire?” Bella says, giving her daughter a little tickle while giving her husband a peck on the lips, “Yes, we do.

As they joined the line to meet Santa, Máire's curious eyes darted around, taking in the sight of other children and the festive decor. The atmosphere buzzed with anticipation, and Malachi mentally prepared for potential meltdowns.

When their turn finally arrived, Bella carefully handed Máire over to the bearded man in red. Santa's warm smile welcomed the little one onto his lap. Malachi observed, practically wincing, ready to intervene at the first sign of distress, to dive in and save his precious little girl from the big scary man in the red suit.

However, to everyone's surprise, Máire's reaction was anything but expected. Instead of tears, screaming or hesitation, she squealed in delight, reaching out with tiny hands to grab Santa's fluffy white beard. Malachi's eyes widened in shock as the unexpected scene unfolded.

Bella laughed joyously, "Well, I guess Máire is making sure Santa's beard is real!"

Santa, accustomed to the unpredictable reactions of little ones, chuckled along. "Looks like we've got a curious one here! Ho, ho, ho!"

Máire, seemingly fascinated by the snowy beard, continued to explore it with her tiny fingers, her blue eyes sparkling with wonder. Malachi, caught between amazement and relief, couldn't help but brightly smile at his daughter's unexpected bravery.

Bella leaned in, capturing the precious moment on her phone. "This is going straight into the baby book. Máire's fearless encounter with Santa's beard!"

As the photographer snapped a picture of the delightful interaction, Santa handed Máire a small plush toy as a memento. Máire, still captivated by the festive surroundings, clutched her new friend with a sense of accomplishment.

The O'Connell family, now with a heartwarming story to share, left Macy's with smiles on their faces. Máire's magical first encounter with Santa had turned a potentially chaotic outing into a cherished memory, proving that sometimes, the most unexpected moments bring the greatest joy during the holiday season.

*~*The Grind for Gold*~*
Wolfslair: NYC

New York City, the city that never sleeps, became the backdrop for Bella Madison's relentless pursuit of greatness besides her home gym. The days following Climax Control leading up to just a week before December 2 Dismember were a whirlwind of preparation, determination, and self-discovery with balancing out her life with Mal and Máire. She never missed time with them but...

Mama was going to work.

Bella's days began with the rising sun, and her nights often ended long after it had set. The city skyline witnessed the dedication etched into every drop of sweat that fell in the Wolfslair gym. Her regimen was rigorous, her focus unparalleled, and the echoes of her determination reverberated through the concrete jungle.

Inside the bustling Wolfslair gym, the echoes of grunts, the clanging of weights, and the occasional thud of bodies hitting the mat filled the air. The training facility, a haven for aspiring wrestlers, housed a unique camaraderie, a melting pot of ambition, sweat, and dreams. Among the dedicated athletes, Bella found herself surrounded by her mentor and confidante, Alicia Lukas, and her mother, Laura Phoenix, a former wrestling star in her own right.

Alicia, who if you didn’t pay any kind of attention to SCW’s past, is a seasoned ring veteran, guided Bella through the intricacies of the squared circle. She had seen it all, tasted victories, endured defeats, and understood the emotional rollercoaster that came with the territory. Under Alicia's watchful eye, Bella pushed her limits, embracing the physical and mental challenges that awaited her in the upcoming championship match.

The three women, each with their own wrestling legacy, spent long hours refining Bella's technique, strategizing, and instilling the unyielding resilience required to climb to the top, which Bella seemed to have in spades. The gym became a sacred space where doubts were confronted, weaknesses turned into strengths, and the fire within Bella blazed brighter than ever.

On this particular evening, after an intense training session, Bella sat on the edge of the ring, wiping the sweat from her brow. The vivid memories of her return match against Bobbie Dahl lingered, but something had shifted within her. The doubts that once clouded her mind were now fueled by a newfound determination, a hunger for success that surpassed her past reservations. Her wins to get to December 2 Dismember only added to that.

Something had changed and it intrigued everyone that she worked with.

Alicia, a mentor and friend, approached, recognizing the internal struggle in Bella's eyes. "You're pushing yourself harder than ever, Bells. Don’t get me wrong, I am loving it. But what's changed?"

Bella looked up, her gaze meeting Alicia's. "I can't let doubt control me anymore. Losing to Bobbie was a wake-up call, a reminder that I can't afford to hold back. Not with everything on the line. After Bobbie, I knew damn well that I had to change the plays in the book and come at it from a different point. If I didn’t, this whole comeback was for nothing and everything that they love to talk about with me would be true. I refuse to leave it as just another day in the office, not when I know damn well that SCW Bombshell’s Title is on the line and how fuckin’ hard Julianna is to beat."

Alicia nodded, understanding the weight of expectations and the pursuit of redemption. "Well kid, you've got the talent, the heart. I've seen it in you from day one. Now, you just need to believe it. Confidence can be your greatest ally."

Bella's mother, Laura sat there as a silent pillar of strength in the background, chimed in, "You've inherited that spirit, Bella, from a lot of us. And while I never want you to forget the lineage you come from, you being under the learning tree of talent like Alicia...well lets just say that I fully believe that you have grown beyond even my expectations. You were born for this but this is a whole new level even for you."

As the hours passed, Bella immersed herself in the grind, sculpting her body, honing her skills, and embracing the ferocity that lay dormant within her. The late nights in the gym, the sweat-soaked training sessions, and the unwavering support of Alicia and her mother shaped her into a force to be reckoned with.

After the exhaustive session, Alicia sat beside Bella on the canvas, a mentor's gaze studying the transformation before her. "You've come a long way, Bells. You've embraced the grind, and it shows. But remember, the biggest battles are fought in the mind. Believe in your journey, trust your instincts."

Bella nodded, the fire in her eyes reflecting a newfound confidence. "I know we are still a while out but I feel like I am ready, Alicia. December 2 Dismember is my stage, and I'm not stepping back. Julianna may be THE challenge, but I'm not holding back anymore, and she’s gonna find herself in the fight for her life."

Good! Now go home to that husband and baby of yours. Remember to rest and we’ll go again next week.

Alicia ushered her out and Bella found herself back in her New York City home. The home that both her and Mal had spent so much time and effort converting into a place all their own. Malachi and Máire were sleeping soundly by the time she had gotten home that night, a comforting presence in the midst of the storm within her. Part of her partially kicked herself from missing a night with her daughter but she was doing this all for them.

After giving them both a kiss, she ascended the stairs to the roof, the cool breeze carrying the echoes of the city. Doubts lingered, as they always did and they always will, but after Bobbie, after Seleana and after Krystal....Bella Madison had begun to believe what everyone else was seeing.

It wasn’t a transformation.

It was Bella Madison, leveling up.

*~*Bella Madison's Opus: Movement One*~*
Back to Wolfslair Gym

The air in the Wolfslair Gym hung heavy with the echoes of relentless training and unwavering determination from absolutely anyone that dared entered those doors. Nothing else would be accepted otherwise. Surrounded by the familiar sights and sounds of her sanctuary, Bella Madison, clad in her training wrestling gear, took a moment to address the looming challenge ahead – her showdown with Julianna DiMaria for the SCW Bombshell's Championship.

With a focused gaze and a sense of unfiltered resolve, Bella spoke directly to the one person that she needs, capturing the intensity of her emotions leading up to the anticipated match.

"Julianna, we've been dancing around this for a while now. Your words, your taunts – they don't fall on deaf ears. But let me make one thing crystal clear – the comparisons, the talk about avenging my mother, it's all become noise. Noise that I'm ready to silence, once and for all."

And I actually want to thank you for making an excellent point after my battle with Krystal, you made it a point to say what everyone needed to say. I beat Krystal for a chance to face you because I wanted it more. I don’t feel like I’m entitled to a fucking thing, ever.” Bella paced the ring, her movements deliberate, each step echoing her determination. "And because of that, I respect you, Julianna, as a champion. You've held that title, defended it, and carved your own path. But don't mistake respect for fear. I'm not here to replicate anyone's legacy, not my mother's, not yours. I'm here to create my own. When I walked in between the ropes back in 2019, I could have easily come in as Bella Phoenix, but instead I did something that I don’t think anyone expected, I came in as ME and that is all that I have needed."

She paused, the intensity in her eyes matching the fire within. "December 17th isn't just a date on the calendar. It's the day that I step into that ring, face you head-on, and prove that I am not defined by the battles my mother fought. I am defined by my own battles, my own victories, my own journey."

Bella's voice resonated with a blend of conviction and passion. "This isn't just about a championship. This is about independence, about breaking free from the shadows that have lingered for too long. I chose the name Bella Madison for a reason – to build my legacy, to stand on my own. And on that night, when we clash in the ring, it won't be about avenging anyone. It'll be about proving that I am a force to be reckoned with, Julianna. It'll be about me, Bella Madison, seizing the moment and making history."

A determined smirk played on her lips. "So, I don’t think it needs to be said but to hell with it... Julianna, you know damn well that you need to bring your A-game. I wouldn't want it any other way. But know this – I'm not stepping into that ring to foil your plans. I'm stepping into that ring to fulfill mine. The SCW Bombshell's Championship – it's not just a title; it's a symbol. I do this for me, for my daughter and for every single person that never gave up on me, when I wanted to give up."

She concluded with a direct stare into the camera. "I'll see you in the ring in Tucson, Julianna. Let the countdown to December 17th begin, because on that night, history will be made, and a new champion will rise."

With that, Bella Madison, fueled by determination, exited the ring, leaving behind a sense of anticipation and the unwavering belief that at December 2 Dismember, she WILL etch her name into the championship's legacy.

*~*A New Chapter*~*
August 14

It had been less than 48 hours since Máire Nicola had entered the world screaming and with everything looking extremely well and Máire already eating like a champ, Bella and their new bundle of joy were about to be sprung from the maternity ward of the hospital.

It had felt like an eternity in such little time, her clean up, being weighed and measured, her going for her testing and first shots.

By the way, nothing wrong with her lungs as the whole ward knew when that happened.

There had been plenty of cuddles and feedings and changes. Máire had her first bath, in which Mal was so gentle with her, like his little girl was made of the thinnest glass possible. He was a fast learner though and as the time went on, he seemed to have a firm grasp on it.

Bella had plenty of practice before, but her own daughter was something new. She wanted to be there for her every waking moment but she was reminded that her body just went through something amazingly beautiful and traumatic at the same time. She needed to rest and take care of herself all at the same time. They both would.

But when the day came, when they finally got to go home, they knew they could handle this.

They decided to put Máire in a cute little outfit that Aileen, Mal’s mother, had given them at the baby shower. A cute little outfit that had a matching beanie, that was an adorable light green dress with some white socks that had little green frills at the end. Bella made sure to get a picture to send to Mal’s mother. Mal had made a run out to get coffee, and in the process grabbed the car seat too.

And the scene he walked into, seeing Bella in a simple loose summer dress to make sure she was still comfortable and holding their little girl in her arms and burping her after they made sure she ate before their trip home...Mal’s eyes softened on sight.

You get to go home today sweet girl and there you are going to meet your protectors. Luka may be a little timid of you at first but I promise you that she is going to love you forever and then there is Salem, who will watch over you all the time that he can. And there you have your own room that is so warm and so pretty. It was put together by mommy and daddy, and your grandparents helped as did your aunties that you met yesterday.” Bella said softly, as she patted her newborn’s back with a little bounce in her step, “I can’t believe we get to bring you home already. It all went by so fast but it felt like no time at all, and while part of me does miss your little kicks, I just can’t wait to show you this world.

Well she’s about to know.” Bella turned around at the sound of Mal’s voice as he made his way into the room and placed the car seat on the bed, and made his way towards Bella and Máire , giving them both a kiss on their heads, “Did you get everything packed?

Almost. She started getting fussy so we had our bottle and now just waiting for that ever elusive-” and as if on cue we hear a small burp, “Ah, there we go. Now hopefully our trip home won’t be a loud one.

Thankfully we don’t have too far to go but the way traffic is in this town who knows.

Bella looks at him and places Máire next to her face and pouts a bit, “Don’t curse us, daddy. We know what happens when we say these things.

Mal smiles and reaches for Máire, and holds her up as she is in that newborn scrunch still but her blue eyes are looking right at Mal, “Daddy is sorry little one, but your momma moved us to a city that has one of the most asinine traffic in the free world and your old man would rather live outside of the city but anything to make my girls happy.

I told you I wasn’t against it, but we put so much work into the building...” Bella sigh as she began to collect the things that had been scattered about and put them into the suitcase that had been sitting on the recliner that had been Mal’s bed for the last day or so.

I’m picking, mo grá. Besides, with Máire just getting here, I’m not about to uproot us so soon.” he said gently. Bella’s hormones were still all over the place after all and the last thing he needed was to test those waters.

She sighed as he tucked Máire into his arm and wrapped her up in a hug, “Sorry, guess I’m still a bit off balance.

Well once we get all of us home, I’m sure it will balance itself out in due time.

Just then a knock comes to the door with the nurse that they have come to know as Jenny rolls in with a pile of papers stacked into the seat of a wheelchair, “Alright to come in?”

Absolutely Jenny! We’re just packing up!

“Wonderful! Because I am here to officially spring the O’Connell family free, complete with your chariot, mama.”

Bella looks down at the chair and shakes her head with a smile, “Oh Jenny, I can walk...

“Actually it’s hospital protocol and trust me, you will enjoy it as from here it is all on you guys.” Jenny said as she pulled the papers up from the chair, “I just have a few things to go over and make sure Máire is all tucked in to her car seat properly and then off we go.”

Well who am I to say no?” Bella said with a smile, she grabbed her hospital issued water cup that she had been attached too, minus the occasional cup of coffee, “Can I take this too?

“Absolutely! Even all the pads, diapers, the extra bottles too since I know you are doing both and the diapers. You paid for it, it’s yours.” Bella gave a little cheer and dance, as Jenny went over the paperwork with them both and then watched as they got Máire buckled in all nice and snug and placed the hospital blanket over her. As Bella signed the last of the paperwork, Jenny smiled “And just like that you are out of here!”

And with Mal carrying Máire in her car seat and dragging Bella’s suitcase behind him and Bella, carrying a few items like flowers that were sent by friends and family alike, they left to begin their life as the family they always wanted.

*~*Decking the Halls with Chaos*~*
Tuesday afternoon

The cozy O'Connell household was buzzing with the energy of the holiday season. Bella and Malachi were determined to make their home feel festive, especially with Máire experiencing her first Christmas. The scent of freshly cut pine mingled with the aroma of sugar cookies baking in the oven as they attempted to create a winter wonderland amid the chaos.

Máire, at three and a half months old, was in the middle of it all, happily gurgling in her baby swing. Luka, their lively three-year-old husky, was attempting to chase after the twinkling lights on the Christmas tree, while Salem, the seven-month-old black cat, decided that the tree was an excellent climbing challenge.

Bella chuckled as she attempted to hang ornaments while keeping a watchful eye on the furry mayhem. "Alright, Luka, you're not supposed to be the ornament! Down!"

Malachi, balancing a box of decorations, joined in the laughter. "And Salem, you're not auditioning for the role of Christmas tree ninja. Can we please have a moment of peace?"

In the midst of the controlled chaos, they managed to string lights, hang stockings, and Bella even managed to coax a Santa hat onto Luka's head for a brief moment before it became a chew toy.

Bella looked around at the scene, a mix of exhaustion and delight on her face. "Who knew decorating with a baby, a hyper dog, and an adventurous cat would be such a challenge?"

Malachi grinned, stealing a quick kiss. "It's chaos, but it's our chaos. Besides, Máire is having a blast, and that's what matters."

As they stepped back to admire their work, Máire let out a delighted squeal, seemingly approving of the twinkling lights and festive atmosphere. Luka, now adorned with the Santa hat again, wagged his tail, knocking over a small stack of Christmas cards.

Bella sighed, "I suppose we'll just call that our Christmas card shuffle. It's unique."

Malachi laughed, "Absolutely. Now, I think we've earned a break. How about some hot cocoa?"

I’d prefer coffee but that’ll do!” Bella smiled, as the door buzzed, “That would be Spinelli.

Mal grumbles, “We have the lights on! We didn’t need him!

Yes but it’s supposed to be more” Bella waved her arms around as she made her way over to their system, hit a button and let Spinelli in, “Be nice, he is here to help.

In the living room, as Malachi made them all the hot beverage of choice, Spinelli, adorned with a tinsel boa and elf ears, fluttered around with boundless energy. Luka, the husky, looked on with a mixture of curiosity and confusion, while Salem, the black cat, eyed Spinelli from a safe distance.

Malachi glanced at Spinelli, who was engrossed in arranging Christmas ornaments in a manner that defied all conventional norms. With a deep breath, Malachi attempted to voice his concerns, "Spinelli, maybe we should keep it a bit more traditional with the decorations?"

Spinelli looked up, his eyes sparkling with festive fervor, "Ah, Dark Knight! But tradition is the enemy of innovation. Embrace the avant-garde of holiday decor!"

Malachi exchanged a bemused glance with Bella, who was attempting to hang mistletoe above the doorway with Máire cooing in her arms. He sighed, realizing that Spinelli's unorthodox approach to Christmas might be an acquired taste. “He was just supposed to help with the lights, not the whole damn house.” he muttered to Bella.

Oh don’t worry, if we don’t like it we can always move it.” she said, handing him the mistletoe to have him hang up.

As Spinelli moved on to attach jingle bells to the curtains, Malachi couldn't help but mutter under his breath, "Innovation is great, but does it have to involve so many jingling bells?"

Bella chuckled, understanding Malachi's sentiment. "Spinelli's unique, that's for sure. But you have to admit, he brings a certain charm to the holiday chaos."

Malachi nodded, trying to appreciate the charm amidst the chaos. However, as Spinelli began to serenade Luka with a rendition of "Jingle Bells" using an improvised kazoo, Malachi's patience wore thin.

"Why is he always like this?" Malachi whispered to Bella, who shrugged in response.

Just as Malachi contemplated how to diplomatically suggest toning down the festive fervor, Spinelli suddenly appeared beside him, wearing a pair of oversized reindeer antlers.

"Dark Knight! Fear not, for Spinelli has devised the ultimate holiday masterpiece!" Spinelli declared with theatrical flair.

Malachi, now with a reindeer-topped Spinelli at his side, couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, "And what might that be?"

With a flourish, Spinelli produced a remote control, pointing it at the Christmas tree. Suddenly, the lights on the tree began to dance in synchronized patterns, accompanied by an eclectic mix of holiday tunes.

Bella and Malachi exchanged surprised glances, the absurdity of the spectacle momentarily silencing them. Luka, however, seemed thoroughly entertained and howled along, creating a bizarre yet oddly festive atmosphere.

Malachi couldn't hold back a chuckle, "Alright, Spinelli, you've officially added a touch of... uniqueness to our Christmas."

Spinelli beamed with pride, "Ah, but of course! 'Tis the season to be unconventional! Tis of course for the darling Tiny Valkyrie as it tis her first Christmas and we do want it to be a special one."

As the day unfolded with Spinelli's unconventional brand of holiday cheer, Malachi found himself torn between exasperation and amusement. In the midst of the Christmas clash, one thing became clear—Spinelli might get on his nerves, but he undeniably added a memorable twist to the festive preparations.

And as he left the O’Connell’s, the tiny little family settled on the couch with mugs of cocoa, Máire snuggled comfortably in Bella's arms, and the pets found their spots amid the scattered Christmas chaos, the warmth of family and the holiday spirit filled the room.

~*~Facing a Winter's Challenge~*~
Present Day

With the festive decorations in place, Bella found a quiet moment to reflect on the upcoming match against Krystal Wolfe. She sat in the living room, the glow of Christmas lights casting a warm ambiance, but her thoughts were focused on the intense challenge that awaited her in the ring.

It had been a couple of years since Bella and Krystal last faced off, and much had changed. The stakes were even higher now—a chance to advance to December 2 Dismember and, potentially, a shot at the SCW Bombshell Championship held by Julianna DiMaria.

Bella ran her fingers through her hair, contemplating the significance of the match. Krystal Wolfe was no stranger to mind games, and neither was Julianna. The mention of her mother's match against Julianna, especially the reminder of Julianna's victory, added an extra layer of pressure. Of course, Bella wasn’t about to let it get to her.

She took a deep breath, the scent of pine from the Christmas tree providing a grounding sensation. She glanced at her phone and went back to that message from Twitter, "Julianna can play her mind games all she wants. I'm not here to avenge anyone. I'm here to carve my own path."

Malachi, sensing Bella's contemplative mood, joined her on the couch. "Thinking about the match?"

Bella nodded, a determined glint in her eyes. "We both know that Krystal is no pushover. She's relentless, and I know she's hungry for success. But so am I. This match isn't just about getting one over Krystal; it's about proving to myself that I'm ready for whatever comes next. I finally got that first win since my return, and I’m not about to lose momentum."

Malachi placed a supportive hand on her shoulder. "This may sound cliche, but you've faced tough challenges before, and you've always risen to the occasion. This time will be no different."

Bella leaned into his touch, finding comfort in his unwavering support. "Krystal may think she has my number, but people change, and so do strategies. This isn't the same Bella she faced years ago. I've grown, evolved, and I've got a few surprises up my sleeve."

Malachi grinned, "That's the spirit. Show them what you're made of, Bells."

As the night settled around them, the Christmas lights casting a gentle glow, Bella Madison had prepared herself for the upcoming showdown a multitude of times throughout the week. The mind games, the reminders of past defeats, none of it would deter her from the path she was determined to carve. The journey was challenging, but with the support of her family and the strength within, she was ready to face the winter's challenge and emerge victorious.

As Bella took in the warmth of the festive atmosphere, her mind drifted to what winning this match would mean to her. She spoke, her voice filled with a mix of determination and longing.

"Mal, winning this match isn't just about advancing in the tournament or getting a shot at the Bombshell Championship. It's about proving to myself that I can overcome any obstacle, that I'm not defined by setbacks. Julianna can throw all the reminders and mind games she wants, but this is about my journey, my evolution. Winning means seizing control of my narrative."

Malachi nodded, understanding the depth of Bella's words. "It's about rewriting the story, isn't it? Showing everyone, including yourself, that the Lil Valkyrie they remember is just the beginning. You've got so much more to offer, and this match is the canvas where you paint that story."

Did- ...did you just use a Spinelli-ism?” Bella looked at her husband with a bit of bemusement.

Mal rolled his eyes, “Ugh, yeah I did. That’s just a whole other reason to kick Spinelli’s ass the next chance I get.

You keep saying this and yet...” Bella motions to her husband that this has yet to happen in the few years that they had been together and the multiple meetings that Spinelli and Mal have had in the past.

Mal just shook his head and smirked, “Yeah yeah.

But I said enough, I am not my mother. I’m something new, something different and I’ll be damned if people try and teach me any differently.” Bella smiled, grateful for Malachi's insight. "But you are exactly right. This isn't just a match; it's a declaration. It's saying, 'I'm here, and I'm ready for whatever comes next.' Winning means setting the stage for what's ahead, and I can't wait to see where this journey and these next few chapters takes me."

*~*Thanksgiving Chaos*~*

The savory aroma of roasted turkey wafted through the O'Connell household, signaling the arrival of Thanksgiving. Bella, with a determined smile on her face, wore an apron that read, "Chef in the Making," as she navigated through the bustling kitchen. Máire was safely tucked in her high chair, observing the organized chaos around her with wide-eyed curiosity.

The doorbell rang, and chaos ensued as the guests arrived almost simultaneously. Malachi, who was still finishing his attempt at tying a bowtie but just decided to say to hell with it and stuff it into his pocket, rushing to greet everyone at the door while Bella juggled a wooden spoon and a tablet that had garnered her all of her favorite recipes, in the kitchen.

"Well it’s about time you all get here! Come on in!" Malachi greeted Alanah and Jack, who were wrangling the energetic twins, Patrick and Elise. The toddlers were already racing around, their laughter filling the air which only set off Luka who enjoyed getting chased around by something other than Salem.

Patrick stops only for a second in front of Mal, "Uncle Mal! Look at my race car!" Patrick proudly displayed his toy car, zooming it through the air as if on a mission to explore every inch of the living room.

Meanwhile, Rory, the 7-month-old bundle of joy, was happily babbling in Alanah's arms. Alanah, noticing the commotion from the kitchen, called out, "Need any help in there?" with an air of faux confidence.

"I've got it all under control!" Bella shouted back, attempting to corral the unruly ingredients that seemed to have formed an alliance against her.

In the midst of the chaos, Mack McKane and Mattie Cormier arrived, bearing desserts and festive smiles. Mack, known for his playful banter with the children, immediately joined forces with the toddlers, getting Luka even more riled up.

"’ey there, lil ones! Uncle Mack's got some tricks up his sleeve!" he exclaimed, earning giggles and laughter from the kids as he sent Luka hauling ass down the hallway and back again.

Meanwhile, Mattie and Alanah, ever the calm presences in Bella’s chaotic life, strolled into the kitchen after they placed some of the things that Mattie brought on a table that was set off to the side. "Bella, do you need a hand with anything?"

Bella, determined not to admit she was slightly overwhelmed, waved her off with a dismissive smile, "No, no, I've got this. It's just a little... Thanksgiving flair!"

Malachi, sensing the potential chaos, intervened, "Bells, why don't you let them help you out? I know you prepared a lot last night but it’s clear that you are a bit over your head at the moment."

After a moment of reluctant consideration, Bella relented, "Fine, but only because I don't want the fire department here before dinner."

As the Unholy Trinity teamed up in the kitchen, Jack, who surprisingly was a vision of calm in the midst of the whirlwind, settled on the couch with Rory. Elise and Patrick, now joined by Bella’s little brother Aaron, who had a superhero action figure in hand, created a symphony of laughter, giggles, and the occasional clatter of fallen toys. Máire, in her daddy’s lap, watched everything and occasionally one of the other kids would come up and give her a quick tickle which would bring a huge smile to her face followed by a laugh before she tucked herself into Malachi’s chest, being shy.

The delightful aroma of pies and turkey filled the air as the chaos of Thanksgiving continued to unfold. Laura and Nick, Bella's parents, who had arrived with Aaron, just in time to witness the organized pandemonium. The family gathered around, sharing stories, laughter, and the occasional, "Watch out for that spill!"

As the feast neared completion, Bella took a moment to glance around at the joyful mess that was her first Thanksgiving as a new mother. The love and laughter that echoed through the O'Connell household were the true ingredients that made this chaotic Thanksgiving a perfect celebration of family and gratitude. Things felt complete.

And so, amid the clamor of kids, the aroma of delicious food, and the warmth of loved ones, the O'Connell Thanksgiving unfolded in a glorious symphony of chaos and joy.

And she wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Thanksgiving chaos had settled, leaving the O'Connell household bathed in the warm glow of familial love and the contented sounds of post-feast bliss. With the kids now occupied with toys and games, and the adults savoring their after-dinner coffees, well the girls were. The men found themselves down in the basement level of their home, as Mal showed them around the area, Bella found a quiet moment to escape to the living room with Alanah, Mattie, and her mom, Laura.

They settled on the couch, each holding a cup of coffee, the rich aroma mingling with the faint scent of pumpkin pie still lingering in the air. Máire was peacefully napping in her crib, oblivious to the world outside her dreams.

"So, how's the new mom life treating you?" Alanah asked, her eyes sparkling with a mix of genuine curiosity and the shared experience of motherhood.

Bella sighed, a mixture of exhaustion and contentment evident on her face, "It's a wild ride, that's for sure. Between late-night feedings and attempting to keep up with my training schedule, I sometimes feel like I'm running on fumes."

Mattie chuckled, giving Bella a sympathetic look, "Welcome to the world of mommyhood. It's a beautiful mess, isn't it? Not that I would know but the wedding planning is exhausting."

Laura, sitting beside them, wore a knowing smile, her eyes filled with the wisdom of years spent navigating the complexities of parenthood. "You're doing an amazing job, Bella. Balancing a career, family, and your own dreams is no small feat."

Bella leaned back, a grateful smile playing on her lips, "Thanks, Mom. It's just... I want to be the best mom for Máire, the best wife for Mal, and still, pursue my passion in the ring. Sometimes, I worry I'm spreading myself too thin. ...or even came back too soon."

Alanah placed a reassuring hand on Bella's shoulder, "You know, you don't have to do it all alone. We're here for you. Your mom and I, we've been through our fair share of sleepless nights and mommy doubts. Mattie is more than willing to help out when things get crazy when she can. It's okay to lean on your friends."

Mattie nodded in agreement, "She's right. You're not alone in this, chica. We've got your back."

Laura chimed in, her voice filled with a mix of maternal pride and warmth, "And remember, it's okay not to have all the answers. Motherhood is a journey, and you're allowed to learn as you go. You're doing wonderfully."

Bella felt a surge of gratitude, her eyes misting with unshed tears, "Thank you, all of you. It means the world to me. I guess sometimes I forget it's alright to ask for help."

Alanah grinned, "That's what friends and family are for, Bells. We're in this together."

As the comforting chatter continued in the cozy living room, the atmosphere shifted slightly. Alanah, ever perceptive, sensed a hint of contemplation in Bella's eyes. With a knowing glance exchanged between her and Mattie, Alanah gently broached the subject that lingered in the air.

"Hey," Alanah began, her tone soft and understanding, "How are you feeling after the return match? I mean, it was a tough one, and we all know how much it means to you."

Bella sighed, her shoulders momentarily slumping as the weight of the recent defeat settled on her. "Yeah, it hit hard. I gave it my all, and Bobbie and I had a hell of a match. But in the end, she came out on top. I guess I'm just figuring out how to process it all. That and letting my ribs recover."

Mattie nodded in empathy, "Losing is never easy, especially when you invest so much of yourself into your craft. But you've always been resilient, Bella. It's okay to feel disappointment, but don't let it overshadow the progress you've made."

Laura, sensing her daughter's inner turmoil, offered her own perspective, "Sweetheart, success isn't measured solely in victories. It's in the journey, the growth, and the lessons learned. Every setback is an opportunity to rise stronger, to refine your skills, and to come back even more determined."

Bella looked down at her coffee cup, her thoughts swirling. "I just... I had this image in my mind, you know? Coming back, making a statement, and showing everyone that I hadn't lost a step. And now, it feels like I stumbled out of the gate."

Alanah leaned forward, her gaze unwavering, "Bella, we both know that stumbling doesn't define you. It's the getting back up that does. Bobbie got the better of you this time, but that doesn't erase everything you've already accomplished. All we know is that you can use this as fuel, as motivation to come back even stronger."

A supportive silence settled over the room, allowing Bella the space to absorb the encouragement and wisdom being shared. She took a deep breath, that familiar spark flickering back in her eyes.

"You're right. I can't let one loss dictate my journey. There's always another match, another opportunity. I just need to figure out my next move...which just so happens to be Seleana Zdunich and her ever growing hunger for Julianna’s spotlight."

Mattie grinned, "That's the spirit, Bells. We've seen you conquer challenges before, and this is no different. You've got the strength and resilience to turn this setback into a comeback."

~*~Post-Thanksgiving Workout Reflections~*~

The clang of weights and the rhythmic beat of Bella's footsteps on the treadmill created a symphony of determination in the home gym. After an intense Thanksgiving workout, she took a moment to catch her breath and gather her thoughts. And checking on a sleeping Máire who was in a swing that they kept in the area for times like these. Malachi, sensing her reflective mood, sat down beside her, handing over a towel and a bottle of water.

"You're pushing yourself hard, Bells. What's on your mind?" Malachi asked, concern evident in his eyes.

Bella wiped her face with the towel, her gaze fixed on the SCW logo on the wall. "Seleana Zdunich," she replied, the name carrying a weight of significance.

Malachi nodded, understanding the gravity of the upcoming match. "She's no pushover. What are you thinking?"

Taking a sip of water, Bella's expression turned contemplative. "Seleana is not just an opponent; she's a challenge I need to overcome. This match is my ticket to December 2 Dismember, and I can't afford to underestimate her."

Malachi leaned back, his support unwavering. "You've faced tough opponents before, Bells. What makes Seleana different?"

Bella's eyes focused, her mind delving into the intricacies of her upcoming opponent. "Seleana is relentless. She's hungry for success, and she fights with a tenacity that's hard to match. I have studied her matches over and over, her strategies. She adapts, she improvises, and she seizes every opportunity."

Malachi listened attentively, recognizing the analytical edge in Bella's voice. "So, how do you plan to face her? What's your strategy?"

A determined glint appeared in Bella's eyes. "I need to be one step ahead. Seleana is not someone you can predict easily. I'll capitalize on her strengths, anticipate her moves, and, most importantly, use my experience to outmaneuver her."

Malachi nodded approvingly, "That's the Bella I know. But remember, it's not just about the physical game. Your mental game is just as crucial."

Bella sighed, acknowledging the truth in his words. "Yeah, mentally, it's been a rollercoaster. After the last match with Bobbie, I questioned my readiness and whether or not I was too eager to get back. But this is different. Seleana is a different challenge, and I need to prove to myself that I can bounce back stronger."

Malachi placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder, "You're resilient, Bells. You've overcome doubts before, and you'll do it again. This match is an opportunity to redefine your path in SCW."

Bella nodded, a determined spark in her eyes. "Seleana may be a challenge, but she's also an opportunity. An opportunity to show everyone, including myself, that I'm not defined by setbacks. I'm defined by how I rise from them."

As Bella prepared to face Seleana Zdunich in the World Bombshell Qualifier match, her mind echoed with a mix of anticipation and determination. The gym, once again, became the arena where she honed not just her physical prowess but her mental fortitude—a crucial element in the upcoming battle.

The match against Seleana wasn't just about victory; it was about proving that every setback was a stepping stone to something greater. With her unwavering spirit and the lessons learned from past challenges, Bella Madison geared up for a showdown that would define her journey in SCW.

~*~The Prodigal Daughter Returns~*~

August 12th, 2023

Their whole world changed.

Actually it changed more so at Inception back in January when they had received the news that after almost a year of trying, that it had finally happened.

August though, Máire Nicola came into the world screaming her lungs out was immediately one of the most perfect things in the world that Bella and Malachi had ever made together.

From her crystal blue eyes, to that little little button nose that they saw the first time they had the ultrasound was almost a tiny exact match to her mom’s along with her chin and the gentle cheeks of her dad, and his dark brown hair.

She was the most beautiful thing that she had ever seen in her life and after the room had cleared out, leaving just her and Mal holding onto the one thing that was completely theirs.

At that moment, it was enough.

2 months and 2 weeks later.

So let it be known that through her pregnancy, with her lack of complications, Bella remained relatively active. She worked out on the daily, with restrictions, but considering she had come out of the hospital wearing her pre-pregnancy pants...which by the way the nurses were still amazed by that...that her ability to bounce back after bringing Máire into the world should have shocked absolutely no one.

Truth be told, it shocked Bella herself, with all the horror stories she had heard, she figured it would be until sometime around Christmas where she would finally get her full clearance. But as if the heavens were smiling, at the 6 week mark she was cleared to go back to working out and by week 8, she was back in the ring at Wolfslair working with Alicia and her mom and also working with Mal.

By the way, Máire can sleep through just about anything except silence. She does not like silence at all.

There were several nights where Máire would remain wide awake, whether cranky or just generally being as normal as an offspring of Malachi and Bella can get. They would do everything to keep her awake during the day but no luck.

Especially when Bella turned on one of her favorite hard rock stations to try and keep herself awake and Máire ended up falling asleep.

Bella couldn’t help but laugh through her exhaustion, as she placed a small blanket over her daughter’s legs to tuck her in, “I should have known.

Should have known what?” Mal said, looking exhausted himself but bringing in the groceries and stopped as he saw his baby girl sound asleep for the first time in almost 17 hours, “Ok, how did you do that?

I- I don’t know. I put her in her little bouncy seat so I could try and get some dishes done, turned on Octane to try and stay awake and the next thing I know, she’s sound asleep. She even got more fussy after you left but I put on the station and she was like ‘Ohh, I like this’ and then...” Bella motioned towards her daughter, “I don’t know if I should shower, sleep or go workout.

I think we have our answer to her sleeping at night now. Something tells me a regular white noise machine might not do the trick though.” Mal passed over some of the lighter bags, “How about we quickly get these put away, you go shower and maybe get a nap in. Working out can wait a little longer.

But-

No buts. You need your rest too, mo chroí and you’ve been up with her for the majority of the day. I have our little girl. And seeing as I’m currently on the unemployment line and you’re about to get back to work, you need to be at the top of your game.” Mal says turning her around and pushing her towards the master bedroom and bathroom, “Last thing I need is your mother in here yelling at me for not pulling my weight as a father. I will sleep later.

Bella digs her heels in and turns around and wraps her arms around his neck, “You really think I’m making the right choice?

Hey, I said the same thing and we both love it. I know SCW requires a bit more travel than where I was, but you made sure to tell everyone that it was only a matter of time.” Mal looks over towards Máire, “Our mo stóirín and I will be there cheering you the whole way.

You promise?

Promise, love. Now...SHOWER! Because you smell like that formula we’ve been having to feed her and it’s starting to curdle my nose.

Bella looks insulted and pushes him away, “Because despite her mouth which is apparently as big as her daddy’s she still manages to be a goof and stick her tongue out and it goes everywhere. Ugh, I really need to do laundry.

NO! You need to shower. I got everything else!” He says with a kiss on her lips and a swat on her backside, “Don’t come out until you get at least 2 hours.

Nap or shower?” Bella smirked. She couldn’t help herself, through her exhaustion the sass remained after all this time. And she was known to run the shower until it went cold.

Bells!” Mal barked before he cringed and looked over at Máire, who remained passed out to the world, “Ok music works.

Bella sighs in relief before she gives him one more kiss and takes her first deep shower in a week. Those kinds of showers that you let the water soak in, wash your hair multiple times, shave thoroughly and exfoliate EVERYTHING. She would mummify herself in their softest towel in her hair that had grown even more luscious while she was pregnant and bust out her fluffiest robe. She wanted to check on Mal and Máire to make sure everything was ok but when she heard no crying and the music still going, her body forced her to lay in the bed and she was out before her head even hit the pillow.

You really had to come back? Abandon that little girl all because you just couldn’t let your ego go for a little while longer? She’s going to grow up, she’s going to hate you because you just couldn’t wait.

Bella woke with a start, her hair still somewhat damp but the towel had long fallen off and it was dark outside. She looked around in a panic and realized that she had been asleep for 5 hours!

SHIT!” she said as she jumped up from the bed and ran out into the living room, the music was still going a little lower in volume than before but the entire place was darkened just enough but not too much that she was stumbling around in complete darkness. “Mal?” she would call out softly but there was no answer.

A flicker from the television in the living room caught her attention and she wandered over, quietly enough just in case and she stopped and covered her mouth and stifled a laugh and a smile as she stared lovingly at her husband and her 2.5 month old. Both asleep, soundly. Máire curled up on his chest and an empty baby bottle on the table.

For the first time since she was born, Máire slept through the night. As they all did.

Life couldn’t be more perfect.

Bella stood there in the dim light, watching the peaceful scene before her. Malachi, the strong, confident man she fell in love with, was now cradling their daughter, providing her the comfort she needed to sleep soundly. The sight tugged at Bella's heartstrings, filling her with an overwhelming sense of love and contentment.

Quietly, she tiptoed closer, careful not to disturb the serene moment. She observed Malachi's face, softened in sleep, and Máire's tiny fingers curled around his shirt, a perfect picture of familial bliss. Bella couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude for the life they had built together.

As she watched them, a wave of realization washed over her. She understood that returning to work didn't mean abandoning her daughter—it meant providing her with a future filled with love, stability, and endless opportunities. Bella's passion for her career didn't diminish her love for Máire; instead, it fueled her desire to create a better life for their family.

With a smile on her lips and a heart full of love, Bella leaned down and gently kissed Máire's forehead. Then, she placed a tender kiss on Malachi's cheek, whispering words of love and gratitude to both of them. In that moment, surrounded by the quietude of their home, Bella felt a profound sense of belonging and purpose.

She retreated to the bedroom, careful not to wake them, and picked up her phone. With a newfound sense of confidence, she sent out a text to a few different people, expressing her gratitude for the support they had given her during this transition and confirming her return to work.

Feeling a renewed sense of determination, Bella knew that the challenges of balancing work and motherhood would be daunting, but she was ready to face them head-on. As she settled back into bed, she marveled at the strength of her family and the love that bound them together.

In the darkness of their bedroom, Bella closed her eyes, her heart brimming with love for her husband and daughter. With a contented sigh, she drifted off to sleep, knowing that whatever challenges the future held, they would face them together, as a family, united by love and unwavering support.

~*~A Dual Duel~*~

The sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow across the cityscape of New York. Bella found herself drawn to the rooftop of her home, a quiet oasis amidst the bustling energy of the city below. She climbed the stairs, the familiar hum of the city gradually giving way to a gentle breeze and the distant sounds of the urban nightlife.

Perched on the edge of the roof, Bella felt the coolness of the concrete beneath her, a stark contrast to the warmth of the fading sunlight on her skin. The city stretched out before her, a tapestry of twinkling lights and towering skyscrapers. The distant honking of car horns and the muffled chatter of pedestrians reached her ears, creating a soothing backdrop to her thoughts.

I’m sure there are more than a few people out there that are wondering if I’m rushing this return. Hell, even I myself have my trepidations about it,” Bella's voice carried across the rooftop, laced with determination and sincerity, echoing against the backdrop of the city lights.

She wrapped her arms around her knees, pulling them close to her chest, and gazed out at the city below. “I spent so much time since Máire's birth, trying to even map out what I even wanted to say upon my return but here I am, in front of everyone and I am at a loss for words.

In the dimming light, Bella's silhouette appeared strong and confident against the cityscape. The words she spoke resonated with sincerity, painting a picture of a woman who had come through a profound life change and emerged stronger, more focused than ever before.

When you go through something as life-changing as bringing life into this world, sometimes all you can do is focus day to day, but I couldn’t help myself. Máire is almost 3 months old already and it’s not like I’m going to miss anything. I just needed to get back to work.

As she concluded her speech, there was a moment of silence, as if the city itself was holding its breath in anticipation of what would come next. Then, a soft breeze rustled through the air, carrying Bella's words away into the night, leaving behind a sense of anticipation and determination.

And this time, it’s a little different. My own mother is going to be sticking around, she’s going to help guide me and give me an extra set of eyes. But I told her to hold off this week because I needed to get my own words out to the very woman I am facing in my return. Which shockingly she’s making her own return as well and well...nothing says clean slate than two returning Bombshells who are starting back at the bottom and bound and determined to work their way up.

The city below seemed to hold its breath, as if it, too, was listening to the powerful words being uttered high above its streets. Bella's honesty was palpable, her resolve unwavering as she addressed her opponent with a mix of respect and determination.

Bobbie Dahl, we have found ourselves in a situation where neither of us have been around for quite some time. All of any kind of history that we had before this year has long been water under the bridge and quite frankly I rather we never visited that ever again. Instead, we get to set the pace of what the next chapter in our careers brings. You as a newly wedded woman, which congrats to you by the way, and myself as a mom and trying to balance this new insanity with one single goal in mind. And that is to finally capture my first singles gold in SCW.

In the quiet of the rooftop, Bella's words hung in the air, her gaze unwavering, reflecting the strength of her conviction. The city skyline shimmered with anticipation, mirroring the energy of the moment.

I have said it time and time again, I am not above working my ass off for even a sniff at a title, but I know that I have a long way to go. I’m almost certain we’re both the same way. And we’re both going into this match knowing that the other wants to show that we didn’t skip a beat.

With a determined glint in her eyes, Bella leaned back, resting her palms on the rooftop behind her. The gentle breeze tousled her hair, and she closed her eyes, allowing the tranquility of the moment to wash over her. In this serene rooftop sanctuary, high above the bustling streets of New York, Bella found solace and peace.

You, my dear, you are quite the phenomenon, and I’m not about to start out on the usual jabs. We’re above that. But I want you to bring your absolute BEST, and rest assured that I am going to show you that I have done a whole lot of growing up.

She took a deep breath, her eyes glinting with determination, and whispered to the night, "May the best woman win, indeed."

Emotional Teeter-Totter

It had been a long holiday break for Bella. She had rather hoped that come Christmas morning that her one dream that she wanted the most had yet to come to fruition. She glared at the negative test for what felt like an hour, praying for it to change but when she realized it was pointless, she just threw it in the trash just like she had all the others.

It wasn’t an easy thing anymore. Everyone told her to keep faith and patiences that it would come but for her it wasn’t that easy. Between her sisters-in-law being extremely pregnant as well as Kallie, who Bella became close with lately as well...

Well at this point it felt like the same old song and dance that was never going to be realized for her and Mal.

And it only added to how she felt. She could eat, she could workout but there were points in the day or it’d take a whole day where her emotions would get the best of her and she would end up sick, laying in bed and crying, with Luka tucked at her side.

She’d do her best to cover it up with Mal but he could tell, especially when she broke down at Mattie’s. And that was one of her better days. Usually the happy-go lucky Bella turned into a blithering mass of tears when Mattie had pointed out she was a little bloated. It was bad enough that the medications that she was on were messing with her head but to mess with her body too?

And so close to Inception?

If life was fair that test would have been positive, she would have called Mark and Christian as well as Charlie and Ophelia at PWE to give them the news and suddenly find herself on leave. But nope, not her...never her.

Come on girlie, let me finish this for you okay?” Mattie pleaded with Bella after Mal had calmed her down, “I promise to not make anymore jokes.

Bella felt horrible. Mattie had only been one of her best friends since Alanah introduced her almost 4 years ago. In fact the three had become so close that Alanah, Mattie and Bella had been known as the ‘Unholy Trinity’.

Mal swept the hair from her face, “What do you say, mo grá?

Bella sniffed lightly, bringing herself down from this current episode as her husband and friend looked on, “I’m sorry Mattie...I don’t know what came over me.

Mattie waves it off, like it’s not a big deal, “Don’t you worry, chica. You warned us all about what the treatments may do. It may sound a little insensitive to say, but I could swear that you weren’t already pregnant.

Bella chuffs at the statement, “I wish I was so I can stop with these fertility meds and be regular crazy Bella instead of medically induced psycho bitch Bella.” she laughs a bit, “Sick of ruining everyone’s day with it.

Nothing a good cry and then some coffee can’t handle after we finish up, okay?” Mattie says with a smile helping her friend to her feet, “Let’s make you feel beautiful.

Bella smiled as Mattie hugged her tightly.

The rest of the fitting went by without much more issues though Mattie’s new assistant kept staring at her when it came Malachi’s turn. She tried to be friendly with Claire but that apparently wasn’t going to happen, must be the vibes Bella was still holding on too. Bella just shrugged it off, she’d try on another day.

Once they got home, Mal took Luka for a run, in which Bella declined. If she was going to get any workout in cardio form, it’d come from beating on the punching bag in the gym. Instead she stayed behind, to clean up a bit. She’d found herself wandering around the house after a while, moving throw pillows from one area to another, before she stopped and looked down at one in her hand and looked at a long mirror in their bedroom.

She’d walk over, open up the bottom of her shirt and stuff the pillow she held between her stomach and the shirt before smoothing it over and looking down. Cradling the bump for a moment before turning and looking in the mirror, she smiled sadly at the sight in front of her.

See? What did I say?” Bella turned quickly to see Mal standing in the doorway, looking at Bella with such soft eyes that it even floored her, “Absolutely beautiful.

It’s just a pillow,” Bella said, “I was just...I wanted to see...

She went to remove it but Mal crosses the room and stops her, “Don’t.

Bella sighs and tries to remove it again, “Mal, it’s stupid.

No it’s not.” he says, grabbing her wrist, stopping her once again, “Turn around and look.

Bella rolls her eyes, “Is this a new kink?

Jesus fuckin’ Christ....Just do it, sass master.” he grumbles at her before she smirks and turns and he stands behind her and places his hands on top of hers, “What do you call this again? Manifestation?

She leans back into him with a smile, “That and mirror therapy. Helps those usually coping with loss or depression from a situation. Which, not lying...I am loving how this looks right now.

Mal smiles and gives her a kiss on her cheek, “Same here.

But...” Bella’s eyes get sad again.

No, no buts.” Mal pulls her a little tighter to him, “It’s going to happen and before the year’s end there are going to be a million presents under the tree with our little bundle of hope and us celebrating our first holiday together as a full-fledged family.

You certainly have a way to convince me, Mr. O’Connell.” she turns around, removing the pillow from under her shirt and wraps her arms around his neck, “It’ll be nice to feel normal again too. I’m hating what I’ve felt like over the past month or so. Doesn’t even feel like I’m even remotely close to being ready for Inception.

Mal smirks, “Well now that we’re done focusing on getting your spirits up with this, let’s get you ready for that, and if at any time you need to stop, then tell me and instead we’ll just get dinner. Let me take care of you, okay?

Bella smiles at him, reaching up and playing with his hair that’s grown long, “How’d I get so damn lucky?

Mal smirks, “How many times do I have to tell you that I’m the lucky one?

Yeah, yeah...” she says, “Stupid sexy Irish.

------------------------------------------------------------------

How Many More Chances Do We Get?

Bella finds herself sitting against the wall of the Wolfslair Gym, where it was pretty obvious that she just got through a pretty intense workout. Finally looking a little more normal and not the ashen version that we saw just the day before. Her hands wrapped up with tape, a boxing wrap, she busies herself from removing it one piece at a time. Taking a deep breath in she simply states, “I know that I am on borrowed time.

It’s only a matter of time until I am back on the shelf to my own personal choices and I get to watch from the sidelines as the company continues on without me, it’s inevitable and I’m sad but not about it.” she tosses the tape off to the side of her, swiping her bangs out from her sky blue eyes and keeps working on the tape she had around her fingers, “But before we get to that point, I have a very large match ahead of me. At Inception, I have already been named to the Bombshell’s Roulette Invitational where Ari has to face a lot of unknown factors to even stand a chance of winning this match. I do not envy her in any way shape or form, as the reigning champion she faces some impossible odds when it comes to a match like this, never mind the people that had already been named...but that unknown factor that is coming in hot. Ari had named me personally when I had made my return back in August as a potential challenger and honestly at the time, I didn’t feel it was the time...but now I don’t think we’re gonna get that one on one chance so take what we can here.

She finally manages to get everything off her hands and leans back, “Look, I’m not going to lie...I feel almost like this is a curtain call for me for this particular act. And I hate to say that cause it feels like I just got back! I’m not gonna just go away though, but it’s something that I have been dreaming about. But ladies know this, just because it’s how I feel doesn’t mean that it’s going to happen. I’m gonna keep chugging along until that test turns positive. And if by some amazing miracle, I overcome everyone including Ariana then well...I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Bella stands and stretches light before nodding her head, “Ladies, it’s my honor. Whether you like me or not.

Did It Go Too Far?
Annihem, California

Following the match- Actually, let me correct myself....the absolutely BRUTAL ANNIHILATION of Crystal Zdunich, a lot of fans stood cheering loudly but some had their mouth agape, wide open after they had just witnessed Bella Madison absolutely lose her shit and finally rid SCW of a cancer.

Bella though, the blood from her face practically dried after the dirty shot that was dropped on her at the beginning of the match, stood tall. She would say what she needed to, following the match, she was sick and tired of people pushing her around. Telling her that she would never be quite good enough....she made it a moment. Her moment. No one would take it away from her, if they even dared to try.

By the time she got to the back, through gorilla positions to the applause from the crew in that area, she’d take a quick bow before she was handed a towel and water from her husband.

That was amazingly brutal.” he said, giving her a quick once over, “Doesn’t even look like she did that much damage.

Besides that cheap shot and whatnot with the knucks, I’ll probably be bruised and sore in the morning.” she smiles before spilling some of the water onto the towel, trying to clean up the dried blood on her forehead, “Did it look as insane as it felt?

Mal gave a broad bright smile and nodded before but before he could answer he was interrupted, “Hey Bella?” she heard the voice of Mark Ward over the crowd, “You up for some more fun?

The smile on his face told her one thing, it was indeed gonna be fun, “I’m in.

Good. Clean up, meet Chris and I at the loading bay in 5 minutes.” he said as he left, “Don't worry, Malachi, we’ll bring her back in one piece.

You better,” Mal spoke up, keeping his attention to his wife and helping her clean up, “You sure you’re alright? I mean, that was amazing but I don’t think I’ve ever seen you like that.

I’m fine, really.” Bella raises her eyebrow at him, “It was almost cathartic in a weird way, finally putting that bitch in her place. And there is that whole possibility that I made some enemies finally doing what needed to be done, but fuck them. I don’t regret it and won’t regret it.

Mal can’t help but smile, “That’s my girl.” You can tell Bella is biting at the bit to go meet up with Mark and Christian and Mal can’t help but roll his blue eyes, “Alright, go have fun with the bosses, I’ll be in catering when ya get back.

Bella giggles and gets up on her tip-toes to give a kiss, “Love you.” is what she gets off before she exits the gorilla position.

Mal looks around with a smirk, “Anyone willing to bet she tries to off-road an ambulance? ....Anyone?

Problems, There Have Been A Few
New York, NY
Thanksgiving Day

The whole day has been bustling and busy as Bella and Mal joined up with Mal’s little sister Alanah for a traditional American Thanksgiving dinner. One thing to be said about Alanah, she embraced the whole idea of big over-the-top celebrations because that was her sister-in-law’s M.O., family first and foremost.

So with the food eaten, dishes cleaned, the twins of Alanah and Jack were situated in the den with their dad, Uncle Mal and Uncle Mack, all fast asleep, which was per the tradition it seemed for the last 3 years; while the girls, the trio known as the Unholy Trinity, Bella, Mattie Comier and Alanah, her stomach slightly pronounced at 4 and a half months pregnant, chatted away in a different room as to not disturbed the boys and twins.

Ooof, I’m beat,” Alanah said as she leaned back in a recliner, placing her hand on her stomach, “I don’t know how the heck I’m gonna do this in a month again.

Mami, you are going to plan and we will prepare, even if it means putting the guys to work to pull it off.” Mattie said with a smile while sipping on the wine that Alanah insisted that both her and Bella enjoy, even if she couldn’t, “Who knows, the way Bella’s been going lately, she may do it all herself.

Not on a bet,” Bella smirks, “I’ll help as much as possible but the way I’ve been feeling lately, ya’ll don’t want me doing that all myself because I’m liable to go all Hulk Smash on it.

I take it the meds the doc has you on are messing with you?” Alanah says with concern.

It hasn’t been all bad, but there have been times the swings have been really interesting.” Bella says tilting her head from side to side, “When I found out that mom and dad wasn’t gonna be home this year, I had a moment where I was crying and didn’t know why. Thanks for fitting us in, by the way, sis.

Alanah smiles and reaches over, touching her arm, “Anytime, I was expecting you for dessert but this was so much better.

Bells just smiles and shrugs, “Either way, the doc said I shouldn’t have to be on this for too long but man, I’m convinced after what happened against Crystal that people were gonna be wondering what the hell was going on with me. After what she said to you, what she did to Chloe, amongst her many other violations of nature of just existing...she had that coming.

So what’s got you worried then?

Bella sits back and takes a deep breath, “Well the last time I was like this, a lot of people were really worried about my mental state. Knowing what I’m going through lately, I almost wonder if it’s about time I just call another time out but I can’t stop now. Especially after the way Kayla talked about my parents, I gotta do something.

Sometimes in this business, you have to be mean to get a point through though, Bella.” Alanah simply states

Mattie smirks, “Heaven knows the boys have proven that one over and over...

And over...

And over...

They all laugh, for a moment.

You ever get that creepy feeling that no matter what though, someone somewhere out there is going to blame my high emotional state?

And do what with it exactly?

That’s the thing, I don’t even know what to do with it.” Bella points to herself, “I mean eventually it’s supposed to lead to the goal of being a mom, but if this is going to have extra powers for other things I’d rather use them for good and not evil.

Mattie goes to say something but her attention is caught by Malachi walking into the room, his hair which he has been letting grow is pointed everywhere and poofed up, “One thing about Thanksgiving I hate, the inevitable nap. How long was I out?

Just about an hour,” Bella says, looking up at him with a smile, “See what I said about his hair?

Holy hell,” Alanah says, “Looks like you stuck your finger in an outlet, brother!

What?” Mal says looking at the three of them in confusion.

Bella hops up on her feet and reaches up, “Hold still, babe.” She pushes his hair down and starts to work it back, “Oh man, it looks like your hair is almost long enough to pull back.
Mal grumbles, “I feel like a damn doll!

Oh man, maybe a tiny little man bun! Hold on, I think I have a hair tie in my purse. Be right back.” Mattie stands right up and leaves the room.

I am not putting my hair in no damn man bun.” Mal barks but it falls on deaf ears as the girls fuss over him.

What’s a Girl Gotta Do?

The screen pops on and we see Bella Madison sitting in front of a camera, no gimmicks, no scene....

I just wanna talk to you, Alicia. Just you.

Is it my imagination or has this been “Bella’s Big Unfinished Business” tour? Since my return from my injury it seems like there have been a lot of things being cleared up.

She laughs.

Not many remember this but there was a moment before I had joined Wolfslair, that I was supposed to take Alicia Lukas on but due to unforeseen circumstances it had to be placed on the backburner. Since then Alicia and I have been in the ring together in other matches but the one on one has always been held off.

She takes a deep breath and looks deep into the camera.

But now here we are, Mentor vs. Student, Wolfslair vs. Wolfslair in something that needed to be asked...can the student surpass her teacher? And the answer is...we’re going to find out. It is no secret that since I joined the Wolfslair ranks that you took me under your wing, in fact it was almost a year ago to the day that I realized that I needed more in my career.

There is no doubt that being a part of Wolfslair has been one of the best choices in my life, despite what SOME people say. I have been more confident, I have become stronger and faster and that ‘Kill or Be Killed’ instinct has become so much sharper. I owe a lot of that thanks to you, Alicia. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that I am a viable threat to any championship because of you.

Bella sighs and shakes her head.

But what has been happening to you? My mentor has been kicking her own ass into the dumps because of a few losses. If I did that, in my time, if I had quit when life loved to kick me in the ass...you would have ripped me a whole new ass, including the hole to go with it! I mean we all have moments, but you have been living on Pity Party Lane enough, girl and it’s time I become the one person to remind you of who exactly the fuck you are!

Her voice echos for a moment, and she lets the silence set in before she continues.

I know you are not going to be a pushover like Crystal, you sure as fuck aren’t going to look down on me like Kayla....you know EXACTLY what I am capable of and that excites me. For once, since my return there are no bullshit games to be played and just a great potential for match of the year show stealin’ ass kicking that we both can dish out and take. I’m going to snap you out of that shame spiral, even if that means putting my body in the way of potential harm.

She follows that with a shrug.

Afterwards, I may cry my eyes out as one or the other raises the other’s hand in victory, because that’s just who I am but I’ll be damned if I’m not going out of one of the craziest roller coaster years of my life and not leave it all on the mat. I need the champion badass that I know you are, Alicia. I need to know if this keeps going for me into the new year, that all the talk is more than just talk. And in return, I’m going to bring all that fury you saw 2 weeks ago when I shipped Crystal’s bipolar ass out of the company.

Bella simply smirks and puts her hand on her chest and lets it soak in the power of her words.

This Sunday, in Bakersfield...the student is going to save her mentor...but I have to do it by surpassing her. And it sucks because there is no one else I look up to more, besides my own mother, than you! But a girl has to do what she has to do. That’s what this girl has to do.

With that she blows a kiss to the camera, stands up and walks away.

It’s Not All Good News
New York, NY

I hate this.” Mal grumbles, “How long does it take to pull a damn file?

It had been almost 6 months since the day Bella had been just down the hall with their family doctor, a woman she has known the majority of her life to have a procedure done. Mind you they said that it could take a while before her hormones balanced out but there was just something that Bella couldn’t shake.

While she was assured that sometimes it just takes a bit, there was an opening with a popular doctor with a speciality in the very thing that the couple was trying to achieve. There had been tests, blood and otherwise that both Bella and Mal had undergone over the past couple of weeks. It’s bad enough to be poked and prodded but to be made to wait and wait and wait some more, never sets well especially with a hot headed Irishman that has all the patiences of a blood thirsty wolverine.

Bella watched him twitch and even though every ounce of her inner voice screamed ‘DON’T DO IT!’ she simply said, “Babe, settle down.” Mal would just glare at her for a moment before he saw the look of worry on her face, and sat back, “I’m not a fan of the wait game either but this doctor is one of the best in the city and after everything and getting a call like we did, I will wait a whole lot longer if it means we gets some sort of idea as to what is going on.

I know, and I’m sorry,” he sighs in defeat, reaching over and grabbing her hand, “Whatever it takes, mo chroí, we will get this figured out.

Bella smiles at him before leaning over and giving him a kiss, “Thank you. And at least the seats are comfy in here and we’re not in some cold patient room.

We’ve had enough of those for a lifetime after the last couple of weeks,” he smirks before kissing her back.

A knock comes to the door and it cracks open and in walks a red haired woman in a white lab coat, she’s about in her mid-30s with kind eyes, “Hi there Mr. and Mrs. O’Connell, I’m so sorry to keep you waiting. I’m Doctor Rachelle Hilland.

The woman shakes both of their hands, “Please to meet you Doc, you can call me Bella and this is Mal. Thank you for taking us in on such short notice.

Well, considering your mom was a patient of mine with your little brother and when I saw your name pop up I just had to.” she smiles gently as she takes a seat behind her desk, “Anyways, we’ll talk more about all that somewhere down the road but I know you really wanna get down to business. So, I have had a chance to look at all the test results.

She reaches over and logs into her computer and brings up their files, there is an uncomfortable silence that fills the air for a moment. So Mal clears his throat, attempting to not flip his lid, “Good news, I hope?

Well...” she says, “Mal, everything with you came back absolutely fine. Your counts and all were exceptional actually. And Bella, I am happy to tell you that when it comes to everything internal, nothing looks remotely abnormal for you to be able to carry a baby.

The couple practically light up at the news and Bella can’t help herself, “That’s great news!

It really is...there is one thing that I have some concerns about though and Bella it is unfortunately on your side. Now, from looking at your records I’m seeing a few things that may explain it,” Dr. Hilland says with the tone matching the concerning words.

Bella’s face drops as fast as her heart, “What do you mean?

Well there are a few different factors that we look into when it comes to women who want to conceive but seemingly are having issues. Sometimes women who were born premature, much like you were, didn't have time to form properly. Thankfully for women that continues even after birth. Obviously this is not the issue here. What I’m looking at is at a hormonal level.” she says clicking on a few screens, “With the type of birth control you were on, it has a tendency to mess with a woman’s body on a level that can be fixed but it’s what is delaying you and could potentially put things on the slow path. And considering you were already playing with a handicap...

Mal scoffs, “A handicap? What the hell kind of medical term is that?

Mal, please...” Bella looks at him pleadingly, her eyes already tear filled, but he sits further up and looks right at her, trying to be strong right now, for them both.

No, Bells, I need to know what we need to do starting here and now to make sure that my wife and I can bring a life into this world.

The doc sits back and sees the seriousness in his eyes, “Well, it’s going to require some time and I can put you, Bella on some medication that hopefully will kick start things for you. I’m not saying that you two can’t have a baby. Quite the contrary. I can tell you that when you do, I’m going to look forward to being there for you both every step of the way. Just every once in a while, we need a little nudge to make sure it goes swimmingly.

Bella smiles sadly but there is a glimmer of hope, she looks to her husband who is waiting for her, “Whatta say, Bells? Do you still wanna do this?

Without a shadow of a doubt,” Bells sniffs and swipes at her eyes, “Ok Dr. Hilland....what’s the game plan?

Is That ALL You Got?
Still New York, but JFK

Christmas has thrown up all over the place lately, and in the airport it is no exception. In JFK, families are already on their way for the Thanksgiving holiday but the decorations throughout the airport have put our heroine in a spiteful mood.

Crystal ‘I Have a Fast Pass at the Justice of the Peace’ Zdunich, has perhaps gone down in history as the BIGGEST fuck-up in Sin City Wrestling HISTORY!

Bella kicks back in amongst the masses, her long hair done up in a braid and tucked under one of her many hats. Mal has made his way to a coffee shop for the moment to give her a moment.

That’s all I really should say but honestly, I’m feeling a little bit like a petty bitch right now. Crystal has done nothing but poke at me and pick at me to get something that honestly, she’s not ready for. You already had your ass handed to you at High Stakes by Kat and then you tried to powder out of the company like you forgot about how your mouth wrote checks that you KNEW your ass couldn’t cash.

She glances around for a moment, sniffing and trying her best to keep her calm in an airport cause the last thing she wants is to get attention from authorities.

SO Crystal Zdunich...Hilton...Caldwell...whoever the fuck is dumb enough to stick their crooked tiny dick in you’s last name you pulled up this month, I’m going to lay this out, right here and right now...after this, we’re done. You have run your cocksucker so fucking much, that even the heels in the locker room are cheering for me to take you out PERMENTLY! And honestly, seeing all this Christmas-slash-Holiday crap around, I’m obliged to give the SCW Roster a very early Christmas present.

Bella sits back and crosses her legs, looking prim for a moment.

I don’t like to be this person, Crystal. I don’t wanna be this bitch but at this point, I honestly don’t care, especially when it comes to you. You have managed to piss off everyone and that is impressive. But not impressive enough to not get what is coming to you. You should have learned this lesson a long time ago, apparently though it got lost much like your virginity 6 husbands ago.

Mal plops down next to her, and he has a broad Cheshire cat-like smile on his face. Passing over her coffee and gives her a kiss on her temple.

Did we have some Freaky Friday moment that I didn’t know about?

She reaches over and pulls a piece of his cinnamon roll and pops it in her mouth.

Hey! You’re lucky I got two...brat

Sorry. Just felt very hungry at that moment.” she says as she sips her coffee, “Either way, I feel like I got a lot off my chest. I get why you don’t hold back.

It is rather cathartic.” he smirks, putting his arm around her and he pulls at the roll, and says, “Much like what we did this morning before we left.

Stop it, we’re in public.” she says stealing the piece from him, as the announcements for their flight come across the speakers, she smiles, “Almost time to say goodbye to Crystal.

He stands up and helps her to her feet, “Not one damn soul is going to miss her, that’s for fuckin’ sure.

~*~Twisted and Dirty~*~

Flashes from High Stakes inside Madison Square Garden a year ago.

Ash Costello and the band known as New Years Day performing. The entire Madison clan from Nick, Laura...her little brother Aaron and her husband Malachi all watching from ringside as she had what was at that time the biggest moment in her young career.

But from there, what has she done? She had a large chunk of her 2022 cut down due to a concussion but in the process of it she made a discovery about herself, as much as she wanted to follow in her parents footsteps, her biggest dream now was to be a mom.

But much like life, it kept steering her in a direction that at that moment just wouldn’t allow her to have that moment.

And believe it, it wasn’t for lack of trying.

Back in late June, both her and Mal had made that choice together but still nothing was happening. The hormones from her birth control should have been long out of her system, so what the fuck was going on?

One thing about being a woman, her body had been ever so kind to remind her that it wasn’t going to be now and that lead to a nice little session in the basement with axes and pounding heavy metal in the basement while Luka hid upstairs with Mal and his mother who had just stopped by for a visit.

“Lanah told me that Bella has been kinda distant lately since she made the announcement when you guys got back from India.” Alieen said as she sipped on her tea.

Kinda. One thing about Bells, she puts on a brave face even when life wants to kick the sh- hell out her.” Mal clears his throat hoping his mother didn’t catch his slipup. “Anyway, I can go get her so we can get to dinner.

“Don’t be disturbing her now, son. Everyone needs that outlet and right now that girl is letting it out. It can be therapeutic and helpful,” Alieen said, “Besides, I have a feeling that...”

And just then the music turns off.

“Ah there we go.” Mama O’Connell says with a smile, “So, I heard you guys had some fun with the twins.”

It was...a learning experience that’s for sure. I felt completely helpless and lord only knows what it would have been like if Bella wasn’t here.” Mal said with a smile, “It was like she was made for this and I’ve been trying everything to keep her calm but as of late...

“Patiences is a virtue, Mal,” his mother said simply, “I know it seems like everyone around you is having babies. First Lach and Sierra and now Alanah and Jack...again. But when the time is right....”

I know that, ma.” Mal says with a sigh, “Just...I found her in the guest room the other day, where we still have the beds that we got for the twins and it was like-

Before Mal finishes what he saw, he hears footsteps coming from the stairwell and we see Bella enter into the room, “OH! Hey Alieen!

Mal’s mom gets on her feet and greets her daughter-in-law with a hug, “How are you my dear?”

Oh sweaty, but...I’m alright.” Bella pulls back, and gives her mother-in-law an apologetic look, “Sorry about that.

“Oh don’t even worry about it, years with two boys in the house I was bound to get a little dirty and sweaty with them around.” Alieen said with a knowing look back at her youngest son.

Well either way it’s so good to see you and I know Mal wanted to go treat you to some dinner, let me go get cleaned up and we’ll get going.” Bella said stepping off to the side.

“Actually, I do need to use the restroom, why don’t us girls go together and we can talk.” she says taking Bella’s arm. Bella shares a look with Mal and he just shrugs, “Come on, it’ll be fun.”

Sure,” Bella leads her into the master bedroom and the better bathroom, “Sorry it’s such a mess. I haven’t been in much of a cleaning mood as of late.

You could hear Mama O’Connell laugh a bit, “Don’t worry about it. I’m still impressed with what you guys did with the whole building as is.”

“Definitely has a feeling of both of us, that’s for sure,” Bella says from the closet, but then it goes silent. We see Alieen come out from the bathroom and lean against the door and looks with concern, “I’m fine, Alieen...really.

“I know you are but I can also tell the whole thing with both of your sisters-in-law expecting is getting to you a bit and yet...”

Bella steps out of the room, now in a simple loose flowing pair of pants and off the shoulder sweater, shrugging shyly, “Just sometimes I feel left out. I have an appointment with the doc next week because she’s as concerned as I am. But I have so much to look forward to.

“I heard about you and that title shot. Mal called right after the win.”

It just feels weird, because I didn’t even intend to have a shot so soon after getting back and yet...

“Luck favors you. It’s a huge opportunity for you, my dear.” she says sweeping a strand of hair over her daughter-in-law’s shoulder, “But I see trepidation in your beautiful blue eyes. Why is that?”

Because if I end up somehow managing to beat Kayla and become the Internet Champion, that means I have to put off the whole baby thing even longer.

“My dear, when it is time, it’ll be time but you like my son have wrestling in your blood.” Alieen says grabbing Bella’s hands, “I have no doubt that when you are blessed, however you are blessed, that you will be great at raising my grandbabies with my idiot son.”

I HEARD THAT!” Mal said from outside the room that causes the girls to laugh.

How’d I know he’d be listening in on our conversation?” Bella said with an eyeroll, “But I appreciate those words more than anything. I just fear messing this up like I messed up in my career. It was my fault that we lost the tag titles, it was my fault that I got hurt...and now with facing Kayla...I feel like somehow I’m going to mess that up too.

“And we’re going to be all right here to help pick you back up and try again. Mal, your parents, me and everyone else... We believe in you. I mean after all you worked absolute miracles with Malachi, I was convinced for a while that you were a witch with the magic you pulled off there.”

Bella giggles, “Well, I wouldn’t say it was complete magic but I’ve been known to have a few tricks up my sleeves.

“There we go. Now, let’s go to dinner and make my son uncomfortable trying to figure out what we were talking about.”

~*~Chip On My Shoulder ~*~

I am going to be as blunt as possible.

Kayla is the kind of bitch that we should all strive to be and that may piss some of the girls in the locker room off but I just do not give a shit.

Kayla came in to SCW with a giant chip on her shoulder and knocked down and took that Internet Title without any shame. That pissed off a few people but the fact remains she gives absolutely zero fucks about it and I can only stand to be impressed by it.

Some people think that Kayla and I have worked together in Wolfslair but that is not the case, she knows the crew but she is her own island, something that can be intimidating. She is a hardass to the end and a hard worker.

Now enough asskissing.

Kayla, I hope you understand something. While respect is given...I’m gonna take all the respect that I can out of your ass. I am so sick and freaking tired of this same old song and dance. I get so damn close only to have that rug pulled out from under me. It really started to hit me hardcore last year in my loss to Amber Ryan, the one that I had that Bombshell title so close and I just let it slip. It’s been the exact same damn way with the Roulette Title and I’m sure there are some out there, just like you that as much as they wanna see me win they think I’m going to trip my ass up at the finish line. You would love that wouldn’t you? You’d love to stick that fucking foot out and watch me fall on my face.

So many times I have had that happen. But I get up, I dust myself off and I try and try again, and I will keep trying as long as there is breath in my lungs and a beat in my heart. Some would call it stupidity...some would call it tenaciousness. I call it my unwilling desire to let a bitch think that she’s better than me. I have had people beat me down constantly, thinking that the win is in match and then start eating glass as soon as I bounce right back and get right back in their face. Yes, the match was over...but I am still standing.

You’re used to people just giving up. It happened right after you won the Internet Title. There was no rematch...you got trashed on twitter with you giving zero fucks and then you got word of your future. That’s where I came in.

I didn’t intend on having a title shot of any kind so quickly after my grand return but alas, here we are. Walking into the biggest show of the year...a show that I’m known to step up and put my best foot forward. I did it last year in my own hometown. This year, there is no pomp and circumstance, no big welcome home...but there is two women that love to raise a whole lotta hell and shock a lot of people.

I’m ready for a battle because if I expected any less, this match would be over before it began. I know you are gonna bring the fire....because Finn wouldn’t expect any less from the women that he’s interested in and well I was made for this. Born under a sign that thrives on pressure, that strives to be best.

Win, lose or draw...I proved to myself that my set back was just that. I got a Paris vacation out of it and at least knowing where my life with Malachi is gonna go.

For you? Win, lose or draw....well win, you’ll still be begging for Finn to finally give you the time of fucking day. Lose, I get your title and we’ll just continue this song and dance but you still have to live with the fact that I finally lived up to my potential and beat your bitch ass....and DRAW? Ohhhhh....a draw...that right there would chafe your ass so bad...because even at your best, taking everything that you could dish out, you still couldn’t beat me and I’ll still get up...

Dust myself off.

And that chip on my shoulder will get just a little bit bigger than yours.

New York, NY
Wednesday Night

It’s been a long night at the home of Malachi and Bella, as they have found themselves with their hands full. Elise and Patrick Russow found themselves being taken care of by their aunt and uncle after Jack ended up in the ICU. Alanah had only dropped them off an hour ago, Mal and Bella meeting her outside, making sure they had everything she had for them before she took off like a bat out of hell.

It was only just a couple of weeks ago that she had announced that she was pregnant and now all this going on with Jack couldn’t have been good for her but that wasn’t able to be brought up before she left them in the dust.

Bella shifted Patrick on her hip, looking at Mal who has Elise and giant bag slung over his shoulder, “I really hope she’ll be ok.

Lanah is a big strong girl. Let’s get these kids in before the skies open back up.

I know she is, but she barely let us know what was going on or anything that we needed to know about the kids,” Bella’s voice sounded a little worried.

Mal smiles sadly as Elise reaches up and touches his beard. He playfully nips at her little hand and she giggles, before turning and escorts his wife and nephew inside, “Love, she’s frantic and wants to get to Jack. Let's give it about 30 minutes, if these two start screaming, we’ll feed them.

Might have to look into getting some seats and a toddler bed. We have absolutely nothing here for them.

We’ll make due and if desperate times call for desperate measures then there are always the delivery options.

Once they both ascended the stairs they both stopped at the same time and looked down, noticing that they were not prepared for this at all. Exposed stairs, no seats for toddlers and that pesky no bed. Mal sighs and drops the bag, grabs his phone.

Ok, you’re the expert. What do we need?

After about an hour of waiting for a delivery of booster seats, temporary foldout kids couches that would double as the twins beds for the night and a few gates to cut off all escape routes, the twins ran off the energy of a new place by giving Luka a run for her high energy and a game of tag. Luka would find herself running for her life for a moment from Patrick and Elise before she would turn around and chase them back for a moment, to a bout of giggles from the twins.

Not for anything said for her past history in watching Jack’s twin brother and sister, it made her almost a natural for their niece and nephew. Malachi however...well lets just say there was a learning curve but after a while he got a handle on everything but it did lead to everyone wearing a little something from dinner including poor Luka.

How do you know how to do all of this?” Mal asked as he washed a bit of squash out of his beard. He’d look at the reflection as Bella sat on the floor watching the kids splash around the tub, cleaned but still full of energy.

Charlie and Rosie.” Bella said with a smile as she splash the little ones a bit, “I did a lot of babysitting of those two when they were almost the same age. Of course, I don’t remember them being quite this energetic but it makes for a good workout.

Mal squatted down next to her, “That it does. I could wrestle 3 matches and not even be this close to being exhausted as I am right now.

She smiled as Mal yawned and tried to shake the cobwebs loose. She would splash him a little bit to get a fit of giggles again from the twins, “Well wake up, big boy. We still gotta get them dressed and down for the night. Alanah said they’ve never had a night over anywhere else, so this may get interesting.

Lovely.” he just deadpanned.

And Bella nailed it right on the head, after their baths they introduced the twins to the guest room where they had a few of their toys that was sent with them. Mal watched in awe as Bella would sit down with them on each side as she read to them from one of her favorite books. Patrick would sit still and listen, while it was obvious that Elise was not really having it. Before long though, Patrick was out like a light and Bella would bring his sister out with her and try and sooth her, to no avail.

Elise would whimper and whine even with her favorite blanket and binkie as Bella would walk her back and forth around the house as Mal finished getting everything cleaned up.

Everyone once in a while she’d cry out for her mama, clearly battling sleep.

I know sweetie, I wish mama could be here too. But she’s gotta be with daddy right now and we will see them in the morning, okay?” Bella would try to reason with the 14 month old but Elise would just rub her sleepy eyes and continue on whining, “I don’t know what else to do. I can’t lay her back down with Patrick, she’ll wake him up on purpose and then all hell would really break loose.

Mal could see Bella was getting frustrated as well as exhausted, and walked over to them rubbing his niece on her back, “Why don’t you hand her over to me and rest a bit? I can tell she’s feeding off your frustration right now. I got a trick up my sleeve.

Really?

Mal just motioned and Bella willfully and carefully hands Elise over, “Hey there lil one, let’s give Aunt Bella a break.

He’d give his wife a kiss on her forehead and send her off to a shower as he battled the exhausted little girl in his arms.

10 minutes later, Bella would come back out to check on them to find Mal swaying with Elise now passed out in his arms and singing a lullaby in Irish:

Suantraí sí, a linbhín
Luasc go mall sa chliabhán
Lú lá luí, a linbhín
Dún do shúil, a naíonáin

Seoithín seoithín seoithín seó
Seoithín seoithín seoithín seó
Seoithín seoithín seoithín seó
Suantraí sí, a linbhín,
A thaiscidh, a stór

Luí go socair, luí go ciúin
Codladh sámh, a ghrághil
Fan id' shuan, a thaiscidh buan
Go n-éirí tú ar maidin

And all Bella could do was melt against the wall and watch with her eyes tearing up and her hand on her stomach. It was only a matter of time until she could have this in her life forever, right?

But Until That Happens...

Paging Ms. Candy, Paging Ms. Robertson

Your sassy little hellion has arrived to give you a rude awakening!!!!

Bella stands inside of Wolfslair, dressed in business attire with her long blonde hair hanging down. She places her hands on her hips and smirks.

I cannot put into words the greeting from the fans I got 2 weeks ago when I stepped through that curtain and back into the six-sided ring. It was like a giant welcome home that I didn’t know how much I missed until that moment. Char Kwan, nothing against you sweets, you tried your best but it just wasn’t good enough.

NOW, I need to make things clear. When I came back I made it known to Mark and Christian that I wasn’t back to walk right into a championship match. There has been plenty of other Bombshells that were here busting their fucking asses while I had to have my head put back together again.” Bella holds her hands up to her chest and takes a deep breath in, “I wanted to work my way back into a division whether it’d be Roulette or Internet and get there by my own fruition. And here we are, just a few short weeks after my return and I find myself in this triple threat match to determine who is going to be pretty much a sacrificial lamb to the slaughter of my own stablemate, Kayla Richards in just a few short weeks.

First we got the ever colorful and glittery Candy. And my girl, what the hell can be said about you that hasn’t? You have known me over half of my life and honestly, it’s still amazing to me that even after all this time you are still that amazing bubbly personality that I met way back in the day. I feel though like there are times that you have one foot out the door and I know you have your hands full with your daughter and everything now. You have your hands full. But I also know that this kind of opportunity will not pass you by.” she blinks slowly because well, she’s trying to put another bad thought in but just lets it out, “You have never been the one to give up a chance this big. You are a former Roulette Champion and I just can’t ignore that. You’ve beaten me, I’ve beaten you. But we have another factor in this match.

Georgie Robertson.” Bella sighs, “Apparently I somehow missed your whole debut and I apologize for the most part. But when I finally got the chance between family drama, working my ass off in training to make sure that I was actually really ready to come back...I had to say I was rather....let’s just say this: I have seen this before. I mean, at least it seems that way every time I turn on the BBC.

She laughs and waves her hands around, “I have been sitting for hours upon hours of trying to come up with something scathing to say about you when the fact remains, I couldn’t. ...hell now that I think about it, I couldn’t even come up with something positive to say about you. While yeah, I’ve been out on injury, you came in here and might as well have been painting the Bombshells’ locker room beige, like the whole color of your personality and sat and watched the paint dry because that would have been a better time than setting through anything I found about you.

Putting her head in her hands she growls with a bit of frustration, “And I hate that. I hate being that bitch but it’s absolutely 100% on the nose. You are the definition of “mid”, whereas when it comes to me, it’s ONLY a matter of time. Either one of two things happens, I finally get that brass ring...or in this case the Internet Championship or I end up a mom and out for a little while again while I bring life into this fucked up world that we all live in.

The facts are I am out to make this time that I have here a whole lot more special than the rest. I’m finally starting to see the bigger picture. But for me, a win or a loss won’t make or break me. I’m already made, here in Sin City. Everyone know exactly what Bella Madison is capable of, all that matters now is finally making it stick. So come at me, bitches.

Bella flips her hair and turns on her heels, and before she walks out the door you hear, “I’m out to show you all exactly what you were missing without me around.

~*~Cobwebs & Tests~*~
O’Connell Home

Bella sat on the floor of the bathroom staring at the test in her hands and sighed heavily and chucking into the little trashcan they kept by the sink.

Damn it.

A small knock came from the door as she looks up and sees Mal standing there simply giving her that look. “I take it it was negative?

I thought for sure that maybe...” she grumbled, “I guess it was just a little stomach bug after all.

Macushla...” he said in a tone that just

No, it’s ok.” she sniffed a little bit as he lent his hand to her and pulled her to her feet. “Sorry, I’m being emotional.

Mal just wraps her up in his arms, “It’s perfectly understandable. First Kallie, then Sierra....now Lanah.

Again,” she giggled, “I’m happy for them all, just rather hoping that when I felt like I did the last day or so...it’s stupid. I’m stupid.

Not stupid. But look at it this way, at least you don’t have to cancel your SCW return,” he quipped, wiping the tear stains that streaked her cheeks, “I know you really were hoping to do this sooner or later but I also know how much you wanted to get back to working.

I know, I’ve been out for so damn long after I managed to get hurt. I’ve been busting my ass to get back in the ring too. Everyone has been so patient with me too on this journey back. Just...it feels weird, ya know?

Just gotta get back into it and clear out those cobwebs that gathered. It’s not like you’ve garnered any ring rust between Wolfslair and PWE but this has been a goal besides doing this whole family thing with me. Also if you rearrange anything else again, I’m never going to be able to find anything and poor Luka is already having fits trying to find her toys,” Mal smiled. Bella’s penchant for cleaning and moving everything around when she was down is what started their home renovations what felt like forever ago but lord knows he didn’t wanna go through that again, “But love, I’m going to ask you the same thing I asked when you had your doctor's appointment, are you having second thoughts?

Bella smirks at her husband for a moment, “About the family with you or going back to wrestle full-time until we finally get me knocked up?

Hey, I can’t help but feel protective about this whole situation when it comes to you.” Mal said, “But at the same time I get it, this whole thing is in your blood like it is mine.

Bella slips out of his arms and practically plops on the bed as Luka hops up next to her to get attention, “It’s a catch-22 but it’s really what I want. I wouldn’t have insisted we make the trip to India like we did if I didn’t. I’m ready for this, in fact I’ve never been more ready for anything than my grand return to SCW.

I did see that the Roulette Champ was saying that you were on her list.

And I told Mark and Christian that I didn’t want to jump anyone in line. I can appreciate it and felt sort of honored, but it’s not how I work.” she says, “I know exactly what I have to do and that's to make sure that I don’t miss anything. I’d rather take the slow and steady path.

Until you get impatient...” Mal mumbles to himself.

Bella hears that and tosses a pillow at him, “I don’t have a choice, Mal! Any and all momentum that I even had before my injury went out the window. Impatient or not, I’m not about to fuck it up just because I’m on borrowed time. I’m gonna do this right.

If ya say so, mo grá.” he says with a knowing smile on his face.

~*~Rock and a Hard Place~*~
Wolfslair Gym

There wasn’t a day that went by unless she and Malachi were on the road, that she didn’t spend her time in the training facility of Wolfslair. It had turned quickly into her second home as soon as the doctor gave her clearance.

You ever have things come to a sudden dead stop and wonder where the hell you went wrong?

Bella stood in the main training ring nice and tall, her body you could tell was just put to the test in the ring, sweat glistened on her body.

I felt like we had things going right and then suddenly it all just went to hell. Mal and I were riding high as tag champs one day and the next...poof. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed my time off, minus the whole severe concussion situation. We got to go to Paris for the first time in 3 years, it was so wonderful. But there was a void, this whole damn time.

She sighed and pulled her hair back from her face.

I had to sit back for almost 4 months and watch and it was so damn hard at times that there were times that I just couldn’t do it. Now here we are, finally got that damn clearance and the request was simple, I wanted to work my way back up. So the bottom and first challenge is Char freakin’ Kwan and girl I feel absolutely horrible for you.

She smirks with an evil little twinkle in her eye.

See now that I’m back, this is going to be a whole new situation where I am going to do whatever it takes to get back to where you all know I belong. I’m aiming as high as I possibly can and the only thing that is going to stop me is not anyone on the Bombshell roster. It’s going to be my own doing.

Bella stops for a second...

Well that and Mal’s but you get the picture. Char, I wanna say that I am sorry, but in reality, I’m not. I can’t allow myself to feel that way anymore if I’m going to get back to being the sassy bombshell that you have all missed. And I missed you, I’ve missed it all...and I’m looking forward to seeing just how far I can take it this time around.

With a wink, she spins around and slips out of the ring to leave just the rest in the shadow.

So much Potential.

Paraphrasing of course but that’s pretty much the words that came around from every single one of their mouths.

And honestly...they are right.

Every single fucking one of them is right! I haven’t been living up to the potential that has been laid out for me. I’m walked in with the whole “Second Gen Not to be Fucked With”.

And what have I got to show for it? A mixed tag title run and falling short at every single chance I have had at a singles championship, I have tripped at that finish line. Yup, congratulations to every single one of you pointing out that I am a complete and total fuck up.

Then why in the hell are you all so afraid of lil ole me?

New York, NY

They didn’t need to say it but it was all pretty damn evident. Respect from the majority and all but one but Amber Ryan doesn’t like anyone but herself.

At least that’s how it seemed.

After a whole week in Crete to just enjoy some actual vacation and her birthday, it was back to reality for Malachi and Bella. It was almost an interesting situation because even though she just wanted to get back to running her ass through the gym and tape study, she still had her mother to spend time with for not only Mother’s Day but to also celebrate her birthday.

Luka had taken to pouting around the house, out to make her humans feel bad for leaving her behind. Not like she wasn’t spoiled while they were gone, spending time with Laura, Nick and Aaron but the fact that she got left behind was enough to make her extra sassy and a full on hellhound which would lead to Luka being banished to an area where she knew she had to stay when she was being disciplined.

The reason this was even being explained was while Bella sat and combed over every piece of video she could get her hands on to even remotely pin down and study, Luka was not by her side like always. She took to laying completely on the other side of the room and occasionally gruffing and barking at whatever caught her attention outside the window. Including the closest pissant that her ears satellite tuned in on, which would send her into convulsions.

Which would piss off Bella.

LUKA! QUIT!!” Bella turned and glared at her, which would only elicit a slight gruff and Luka dropping her head, “You’ll get over it soon enough.

Bella would turn back and hit play on her video which would start the whole process with her crazy husky again. Bella slammed the remote down and walked over to her and looked down the street, “Girl, there is nothing down there. You’re imagining things or your hearing dad down in the garage.” Bella looked at Luka, “Either way, please stop. I’m trying to focus.

Luka whined when Bella went to walk away which caught her attention, “What’s up?” she would ask before Luka would reach out her paw. “Oh you gonna try and make up with me now?” which would get a response of Luka’s dual colored eyes just staring.

Ok, come on you.

Luka excitedly hopped up to her feet and trotted over and waited patiently for Bella to join her back on the couch. She would plop down and Luka would jump up and do the same as Bella reluctantly pressed play and continued her little watch party and gave Luka and occasional scratch on her head.

This didn’t last too long though before Bella would just shut the TV off and sit in the silence and through her head she would let it all stew. She wasn’t going to let them bring her down, she knew that she did belong but each one of them brought up some excellent points. She wasn’t just named to the match, she had to earn her spot.

After everything she had done, she still had to kick that damn door down.

No matter what, she was smaller than every single one of them. But she is also human.

So why the fuck did their opinions matter?

They don’t.” she barked out. This revelation would inspire her to get off her ass, grab her phone and motion Luka to follow her. She threw a quick text to Mal to let her know where she would be as she ascended the stairs to the roof, throwing the switch on her way out the door and walking out and just letting go of something she was holding in.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

It was New York...who was really going to say anything about this?

After that release, she just paced the length of the roof, running her hands through her hair, sometimes frustrating pulling it from the front of her face that the wind put there.

You know what is absolutely and positively amazing about each and every woman in this Queen for a Day match? You all fed compliments but in such a backhanded way that I begin to really understand how every single one of you are so amazingly bitter!

She stops for a moment and turns her attention to the fire pit that is set up but not lit up. “Yeah, even you Alicia. I get now why you walked away from it for a while because, oh my gawd. Look, I know how you respect my mom and have these wild dreams that I am somehow her, wrapped up in an even tinier package. Look, I’ve come to grips of the fact that it’s going to take me just a little bit longer to finally take this spot that is supposedly waiting for me.” Looking down for a moment, she finds what she’s looking for and picks up a long lighter and clicks it on. She stares at the flame, before she puts it down and lights the pit, “Look, at this particular moment, fuck that spot. I came to Wolfslair because I felt like I still had so much more to learn. I hope to the Gods that I never STOP learning but the fact remains that I really need ya’ll to stop comparing me to Laura Fuckin’ Phoenix and realize that I am Bella Fuckin’ Madison. I have had to keep taking it on the chin over and over and over again, barely at times being remembered as to if they have actually faced me.

Her eyes glance up with a smart ass look in her blue eyes, “Ain’t that right Kiera?! And to answer your question, no we haven’t actually had the chance to stand in the same ring together. You out of everyone was actually not completely backhanded in your words because you are so sweet and kind but I know damn well that the kindness is going to stop the minute that that bell rings.

Krystal Wolfe, you ran so much roughshod over me that sometimes I wonder if my whole psychosis of not really truly believing that I have earned this spot. Even though I have fought like fucking hell, I cannot seem to grasp that I am actually good enough for the good things in my life! And I know you didn’t mean for me to feel this way and maybe after Athens I should seek professional help to get me the fuck over this strange idiosyncratic belief that I am fighting.” she turns and sits carefully next to Luka and looks almost sad as she gives her pups head a quick scratch, “The feeling that I can’t get there. Existential Dread of looking at you all, all these amazing Goddesses and I am not feeling like I’m good enough to climb Olympus.

She holds up her hand and that smartass look shows back up in a big way, eyes glimmering and the smirk even wider, “I felt that way....until I heard Amber fucking Ryan coming in hot to remind me that I am indeed lesser. You know, despite the fact that NO ONE likes you, you brought up an excellent point. I have humanized myself. WEIRD I KNOW! But I loved the whole part about how you wanted me to reach out and take the match by the throat, that was adorable. Considering I had to battle my ASS off to get in this match to begin with!

She looks down at the fire that is now going full bore, “You know, it’s so fucking amazing that I’m not allowed to struggle. Apparently even though you are down here in the Queen For a Day match with little ole me, instead of...Oh I don’t know, taking on Roxi? Slummin’ it? Down here in the lower card with the meger peasants that are just ACHING for a little bit of a fucking chance.

She stands up and screams out to the universe, “AND CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE THE HELL IS SAM MARLOW?!? I know she has just returned and welcome back but seriously you have walked into one hell of shit storm and we’re going to have a really really bad time if you try and get in my way.

She looks down one more time at the fire, almost taking in its strength, “Look ladies, do not get me wrong. I wanna climb this mountain more than ANYONE in the entire Bombshell division. I wanna be Roulette, Internet and who knows eventually Bombshell World Champ. But I am on my own fucking path and no matter how it bugs you how I do it, it’s on me. I am a very colorful, moving to the beat of my own damn drum kind of girl.

I am Alice in a world full of Queens that are attempting to cut off the other’s head. I am the one with the sword drawn and ready to defend the realm. I have come to a realization that if I have to deal with all this, I don’t know if I want a throne but I want to be a champion. My time will come, whether it’s at Into the Void or somewhere in the future. My time is coming. I told you all once already, I want the Goddess status, I want to finally make you realize that all the positive praise is honestly right. I also am going to make you realize that I am an honest threat.” she leans forward and stares through the fire, “And if that means that I gotta take that Queen from all of you....so be it.

She felt so beyond determined to make it a point to show that the little girl had indeed grown up and what better way to do that than against Candy. It took everything she had, turning herself into a practical anaconda and squeezing herself to get Candy to tap out in the Bella Notte.

What a way to end her 23rd year on the planet! A win over Candy, who she had struggled with in the past, was exactly what she needed to get herself into the Queen of the Day match.

It was the hyper-fixation of getting through the match and beating Candy, that despite the fact she heard her name spoken by Kystal Wolfe before her match didn’t really register.

When she got to the back, she was greeted by Candy who had made it back before she did. It was always their thing to make sure the other was ok following the match. She didn’t realize it at the time but Bella had gotten caught solid with something during the match. It was all a blur to her and honestly it was probably a good thing that it took her as long as it did to realize that it had happened. She was so high strung at that point she wasn’t sure what her reaction would have been. Either way, Candy congratulated her, wished her luck and went about the rest of the night.

She really was too sweet for her own good sometimes.

Next, came Malachi to greet her with his usual praise along with that hug she always needed. He was the one that pointed out that the side of her left eye looked a little red.

She catch ya?” he asked with a little concern in his voice, moving her hair away from it, trying to get a better look in a hallway that wasn’t exactly well lit.

Did she?” Bella couldn’t help but reach up and touch it and winced the moment she touched it, “Huh, she must have.

He rolled his blue eyes at her. Of course she had to confirm and poke at it like a child. He had to keep her from making it worse and pulled her hand away from her own face, “Did she at least apologize?

Considering that I didn’t even know about it til right now? No.” Mal goes to say something snarky, and Bella just covers his mouth with her hand, “Don’t worry, I know damn well if she knew or saw it, she would have apologized over and over, in a heartbeat. If it bruises up, I’ll take a picture, post it on Twitter....

Not gonna be all that photogenic for your birthday.

Like I really care, hun.” Bella just shrugs as she grabs a bottle of water from one of the backstage coolers, “If anything, it gives me a little class. Proof positive that I’m willing to do whatever the hell it takes to prove that I fucking belong.

Bella finishes that statement with a grin, cracking the bottle and flick spinning the cap off, sending it off like she’s completely frustrated with the fact that she’s in a spot where she knows people are talking like she’s not living up to her potential. Mal knows she’s trying like hell to not go off on him, so he just nods and sighs, “Well if anyone can say anything about you, you’re committed to making a big point.

Like I have a choice.” she grumbles. “I’m trying like hell to not listen to a lot of the naysayers. Krystal was already starting with the whole ‘Well I’ve already beaten her’, and if ANYTHING I just proved tonight that against a woman that I have had a hell of a time against in that ring, can be beaten. I’m just over people acting like my past is this big damn indicator as to how things are just going to pan out for them. I don’t give a flying rat's ass if they have beaten me in the past. I’m going to come out fucking swinging in that Queen for a Day match and if I gotta take a few out with me in the process.

Mal steps back and looks at her for a moment.

What?” she asks with a smirk.

He shakes his head, “You are still wound up after that match....I haven’t seen you like this since your New York match.

Oh this is something different. Back when I fell short of that title shot, I felt so God damn lost. I had no idea what would possibly be next for me and now...the potential exists for me to make lives a whole lot more interesting.

Well before we get there we have some celebrating to do.

OH YEAH! Your big birthday surprise for me! You mean to tell me you’re not actually waiting for a whole 4 days??

Well...no because there is no point going allllll the way home just to turn around and go alllllllll the way back.

What are you up to?” Bella said, squinting her eyes at her mischievous looking husband, “You’re looking like how I felt trying to keep that Roadster a secret.

He points at her, giving her that all knowing ‘Nice try’ look, “Which, you snuck a whole car from Ireland to the states for almost a whole ass year....so you’re going to let me have this moment.

Bella smiles and tries the big eyes sweet look that occasionally lets her get away with murder, “Are you going to at least tell me?

Let’s just say the fates smiled down on me for this one.” Bella puts her hands on her hips waiting for him to stop torturing her, “You know, maybe you should go get your shower first before...

Bella stomps and throws her arms to her side, “MAL!

He pulls her stubborn ass closer and leans in, “A whole week, just you and me....a private villa for 2 in Crete.

The look on Bella’s face goes from stubborn to practical swoon and she turns and wraps her arms around his neck, “Just you and me?

He looks down at her, placing her hands on her hips with that smile that he reserves only for her, “Luka is with your ma and dad and we have nowhere to be. We won’t have to leave if we don’t want to, but we actually get to enjoy Greece instead of racing back to the states.

I do love the sound of that.” she says, bunching his shirt in her hands like she’s ready to thank him on the spot.

I knew you would.” he leans in to give her a kiss before she pulls back with a question in her eyes. “When do we leave?

First thing in the morning.” she pouts a bit, before he kisses it away, “Trust me, I would rather we leave tonight but we’re at the mercy of the transportation system.

She sighs in partial defeat but more like the pressure of everything for a little while coming off her, “Fiiiiiiine, I guess I can take my time on that shower and I guess we’ll celebrate my win.

He nods, pulling away and motioning her to do so, “That’s my girl. I’ll be in catering when you’re ready.

She gives him that look that tells you the fun is only just beginning for them.

Get Treated Like One
Crete, Greece

It has been 5 days since they found their way to that private villa. Bella’s birthday week had gone off without a hitch.

A whole lot better than last year, that was for sure.

But she couldn’t help herself.....she knew what was ahead of her. She already said it, this was her Mount Olympus to climb and ahead of her were 5 Goddesses that made her want to work only harder.

Kiera, Amber, Krystal, Samantha and Alicia.

If there were ever challenges for women in Greek mythology, this would have been it. The lone mortal woman that knew her destiny lay just beyond them.

Would I ever be considered worthy enough?

She sat poolside, watching the sun just beginning to set over the horizon. Her left eye had begun to heal with the bruise that she had received but it didn’t bug her, she doesn’t bother to cover it up with makeup. In fact she wore it like a badge of honor.

If there were ever 5 women that would even be considered as the pillars that the Bombshell division was built on it would be the five women that I will be facing in Queen for a Day. And how apropo that this is a ladder match....but out of the 6 of us, it almost feels like I’m the lonely little mortal that has been only dreaming that one day perhaps my name will be synonymous with these Goddesses that are my true trials.

She takes a deep breath.

Look ladies, my respect for you is legit. But my respect is only going to get me so far. So pardon me if I don’t kiss all of your asses. In fact I KNOW damn well that if I even tried that with Alicia, she would have my ass. She has been the one to truly take me under her wing and now I have to show just how much the student has learned. Can I surpass that challenge? ...I’d like to think that I can.

Krystal too, in a way. There were some serious battles there for a while, and I’d like to think that I have come so damn close a few times but she had to go and remind me that she indeed has beaten me. But newsflash Krys, I’m not the same little girl. I have had no choice but to grow because if I don’t...I’ve realized that I will be eaten the fuck alive.

Speaking of getting eaten alive, Sam Marlowe, where the fuck have you been? Maybe I just haven’t been paying attention like I should because honestly it felt like you fell off the face of the planet there for a little bit. I mean, don’t get me wrong...I’m glad you are in this match.

And then Kiera...and even Amber. In comparison to these TITANS, I feel TINY in this match. I feel like I just do not belong in this match. Like you have these women that have been there and done that ...and then there is lonely little Bella who, bless her young heart, just hasn’t quite lived up to her potential.” Holding up her finger, she glares, “....but....I do belong. I know in my heart of hearts that when it comes to the SCW Bombshell’s roster that I am more than my past, I am more than my training. I am more than the one giving respect.

Why? Because I will not give up. I am not Mercy Vargas, who takes her ball and goes the fuck home when she doesn’t get her fucking way. I will wear my bruises PROUDLY! AND I will keep doing what I have to, to make you all wonder if I really am on a suicide mission.” Bella shrugs with a laugh on her lips, “I’m not. But I am on a mission to make sure that you ladies understand that this little girl isn’t going to go away or coware away in fear. I’m going to be fighting for everything because, well I’ll just say it, I have nothing to lose.

She sits back for a moment, tapping her fingers on the arm of the chair....as if almost in deep thought of how she wants to say what she needs to. She mumbles ‘Ah fuck it’ before taking a breath and continuing on.

If I want to be treated like a Goddess...or in the case of this match, a Queen I’m going to start having to act like I am just as big as the rest of you. No longer is the little girl going to not live up to her potential. I’m not going to make you bend the knee...

She leans forward, her blue eyes almost gray in the sunlight. A wicked little smile forms on her face.

But I will make sure you all will respect me.
