 {The scene opens again backstage at Climax Control, shortly after Roxi’s win(s) over current Bombshell’s champion Mikah, thus ending her historically impressive singles run. Roxi is being checked out by the trainer for any lasting injuries.}

Trainer – How do you feel? Any unusual soreness, tightness?

Roxi – Nope, I feel pretty good. The usual wear and tear, but I’m fine.

{Keira walks in, a huge smile on her face as she gives Roxi a huge hug and kiss.}

Keira – You did it!

Roxi – Yeah. She’s really tough.

Keira – But you kicked her ass. I am so happy right now. We need to celebrate.

Roxi – Well, let me get out of here first, and we will.

Keira – Why, you don’t…

{Roxi gives Keira a glare and Keira remembers and clears her throat.}

Keira – I was going to say, you don’t look too hurt to me. You look like a million bucks!

{Roxi chuckles once, shaking her head.}

Roxi – Thanks, but, let me finish in here, and I’ll be right out.

Keira – Alright.

{Keira smiles, giddy and turns and leaves as Roxi finishes up with the trainer}

Trainer – Anything tweak out there either?

Roxi – My ankle a little bit, but after a minute or so, it was fine.

Trainer – What happened? Was it the dive?

Roxi – Yeah, I think I just stood up too fast afterwards, turned it the wrong way.

Trainer – Well, let’s take a look.

{Roxi removes her shoe and sock as the trainer turns and flexes her ankle, Roxi not making any faces of discomfort.}

Trainer – Nothing?

Roxi – Nope. Just a bad turn.

Trainer – Alright, everything looks good, if you feel good, then I’ll let you go.

Roxi – Thanks.

{Roxi puts her sock and shoe back on before exiting the trainer’s room, only for Keira to tackle hug her from behind.}

Roxi – Oof! Hey, take it easy.

Keira – Sorry, I just get a little excited because you kicked her ass so bad. I’ve been wanting to either see it, or do it myself. She’s lucky I wasn’t there. You go too easy on people all the time.

Roxi – Keira, it’s just a match. I don’t need to go out there and hurt people. It’s not about that.

Keira – I know, but… I want to see you do well.

Roxi – I know, my love. I want to see you do well too.

Keira – Finally feeling better. I think that stomach virus finally cleared. Ugh… that was terrible.

{Keira holds her stomach, rubbing it affectionately.}

Keira – It felt like I ate the worst food possible.

Roxi – You did something. But, I’m glad you are okay.

{Roxi throws and arm around Keira as the two walk down the hall.}

Keira – You are too good to me.

Roxi – You deserve the best.

{Keira looks at Roxi’s arm, and stops, taking it off her shoulder, and looking Roxi in the eye.}

Keira – Say… uh… the training didn’t see…

Roxi – No. It’s healed.

{Keira grumbles and lowers her head.}

Keira – I should have been there.

Roxi – You were sick. Plus, I needed to know you’d be safe if anything happened to me. You have to take care of Christine and Tasha.

Keira – Roxi… I…

Roxi – What’s the matter?

{Keira looks down, not wanting to make eye contact with Roxi, but she looks up eventually, her eyes watering, lip quivering slightly.}

Keira – Please don’t talk like that…. I… I can’t lose you.  I can’t do what you do. I’d be so lost without you…

{Roxi gives her a comforting hug pulling Keira in.}

Roxi – Hey, hey, relax. I don’t plan on going anywhere, anytime soon. I will never, ever leave you. There isn’t a thing in this world that will take me away from you. Okay? But dealing with Amelia is… It’s something else. I wished you were there with me too, but the fact of the matter is, you were sick. You would have only gotten yourself hurt.

Keira – You got yourself sh-

{Roxi covers Keira’s mouth with her hand, only making Keira more upset. Roxi gently removes her hand as Keira looks like she’s going to cry. Roxi wipes away the tears starting to fall away with her finger.}

Roxi – I know. I’m sorry I scared you. I’m sorry that that happened. But I’m here now, and I’m not going to go away. I will be right here with you. I promise.

{Keira hugs Roxi tightly again, and Keira sniffles and wipes away her tears, trying to calm herself down.}

Roxi – Hey… I love you.

Keira – I love you more.

{That brings a smile back to Keira’s face. She can’t help but kiss Roxi on the lips.}

Keira – I’m sorry I just… It was emotional.

Roxi – I know. It’s okay.

Keira – I’ve just been the past few days. And even tonight. I was even happen Jenny won.

Roxi – Yeah, we should find her.

{Keira quickly makes a disgusted face.}

Keira – Can we not, and say we did?

Roxi – Alright, alright… calm down. So, what do you want to do?

Keira – We need to celebrate your big win! I almost can’t believe you did it.

Roxi – Almost?

Keira – What? Almost. I knew you could do it. And you did. I’m convinced you can do pretty much anything now.

{Roxi just chuckles and shakes her head.}

Roxi – Not quite. I just hope that whole thing with Celeste doesn’t… end up badly.

Keira – I… I kind of see what she was getting at. A champion shouldn’t be drunk all the time. Did she look drunk out there?

Roxi – No. She was fine.  Maybe she’s going to get drunk, but she wasn’t tonight.

Keira – Still. It almost looks like a need right now. I’m… I’m kind of on the fence about this.

Roxi – I just… think this went a little out of proportion, I mean…  I don’t plan to strike.

Keira – Neither do I. I mean… what if that effects our tag title rung? We’ve past 100 days. We have 60 plus days to go to break the record, we’re really close.

Roxi – I don’t know, we’ll have to wait until the card comes out I guess.

{Keira reaches into her pocket and checks her phone on the SCW website. Her face turns pale as the color drains, she looks at Roxi, thinking the worst.}

Roxi – What is it?

Keira – We have a tag title defense. Against the Fallen.

Roxi – Again?

Keira – They beat Mel and Lucy tonight. Mel and Lucy have their shot at the Pay-per-view… Winners face them.

Roxi – Ugh. That sucks.

Keira – What if this is punishment, you know? Like this is what we get for siding against Mikah and Mark Ward.

Roxi – First of all, we’re due for a tag title defense.

Keira – Yeah, at the super card!

Roxi – Keira, calm down. Every now and again, champions have to defend their titles on the weekly show. As champions, we’re bound to honor that.

Keira – I get it but… It’s so lame. We’ve already beaten the Fallen. Multiple times. Why again? I think Mark Ward is punishing us for going along with Celeste.

Roxi – Keira, don’t be paranoid. We’ve always been here, loyal to SCW and we’ve helped when we could. I really don’t think Mark has it out for us. The Fallen earned this match, and we’ll just have to beat them again. Come on, we’ll worry about that later… let’s go celebrate.

{Keira sighs, begrudgingly agreeing with her wife, wiping the concerned look off her face and replacing it with a smile.}

Keira – Alright… we’ll worry about it later. What are we doing tonight?

Roxi – We’ve got Griffin out here in Cali, and Delta. We owe them a visit.

Keira – So… Karaoke?

Roxi – You bet your sweet butt!

Keira – It is sweet… isn’t it?

{Keira slyly giggles shaking her hips in Roxi’s direction.}

Roxi – That it is. Come on, let’s go.

{Keira smiles and hugs Roxi tightly as the two walk off, and the scene fades.}

So, I beat Mikah. That was pretty cool. Not only that, I basically beat her twice in one night, or twice in one match, something or other like that. It was pretty great.  And no, I don’t think she was drunk during the match, in fact, I don’t think she was drinking all week. Yes, I believe what Mikah said. She said it herself, so she has no excuses for losing to me. But still, things haven’t changed.  I’m still happy, Mikah’s still bombshell’s champion. It just seems like I have her number right now. But, that match is over and done with, and it’s on to the next one.

Of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t talk about the Bombshell’s meeting that took place, and originally, I was told we were going to confront Mikah on the Alcohol issue, because it seemed she was pretty heavy on drinking. When you need to detox, I think it’s a sign of a possible problem.

Now, having said all that, I in no way figured that this was some kind of strike about unsafe working conditions. Because I’ve been here for a long time, and I’ve seen the Bombshell’s compete in all kinds of matches with pretty severe stipulations and results. Odette and Vixen mangled each other in barbed wire. I’ve fallen off ladders, been in cages. That is pretty unhealthy for the human body in its own right. But I see the other side of this issue, regardless of who the person is, I would not want to wrestle someone who is going out and is so bad off that they cannot wrestle to their best, or possibly endanger the lives of themselves, me, and the fans because they are in no condition to perform. I can see that this is a point of contention. But again, my experiences with Mikah, who is the person in question, is that no, she was not drunk at those times.

If anything, there probably should be something like this for Twisted Sister, who is apparently arming herself with chainsaws and trying to drown people in toilets. That’s not really right either. I get that she may have a screw loose, but that’s really on people above my pay grade to discuss. I will continue to honor my commitments as both a wrestler and one half of the SCW bombshell’s tag team champions. I am scheduled to defend these championships along with Keira against the Fallen. And that is exactly what Keira and I are going to do. We’re coming to Azuza, and we’re going to defend these championships. And we’re going to beat the Fallen. Again.

Not for nothing, but I would just assume at this point, the Fallen are in the back of the line. We’ve beaten then for the titles, and then we beat them in their rematch. Like, I would just think now they are out of chances. As impressive as it was that they beat the Angel Clan and poked their head back into the title scene, it’s getting a bit ridiculous that we constantly have to face them, especially in title defenses. I get it, the tag team title scene as far as the bombshells are concerned, is a little light. But I could see if it was just us and the Fallen that we’d have to defend against them every time, but there are other tag teams. I guess at this point, this is the Fallen’s last gasp. I almost hate that Keira and I have to be the ones to snuff it out for a good long while, but we do not plan on losing these belts any time soon. Not to the Fallen, and Not to the Angel Clan.

This is what we have to do, it’s what we’re there for, and Keira and I are not going to strike, or walk or try to get out of this match. We’re fighting champions, and we will fight to the end to keep these championships. We earned them, and we’ve beaten every team we’ve been matched up against. I have no intention of letting the third time be a charm for the Fallen. They will not take these championship from us. We’re going to beat them, and we’re going to move on. It’s that simple.

Of course, I say that it’s simple, but I mean it’s simple to say that. I won’t be a cakewalk, it never is with the Fallen. They are 3 time champions for a reason, because they are good. But despite all of that. We’ve been able to overcome them. Beat them and prove how good we are. People may consider us the underdogs after the Fallen stormed back into the conversation, but we’re used to it. And slowly, over time, as we continue with our tag title run, people will no longer consider Team Hero the underdogs, but right up there, as one of the greatest tag teams in SCW history. Not even just bombshell’s history, but SCW lore period. That’s what we’re shooting for.

Beating the Fallen and going 3 for 3…. That’s a good place to start.

{We re-open with Roxi sitting at her computer, Keira watching the screen over her shoulder as Vision pops up.}

Vision – Feeling better Keira?

Keira – Yeah. Must have been some kind of stomach virus. But I’m okay now.

Vision – We sure could have used your help.

{Keira frowns at that statement.}

Keira – Don’t remind me.

Vision – Hey, not worries. Roxi got everyone out of there disarmed the bombs.

Roxi – There was only 2 bombs. The rest were just decoys. She’s toying with us. I still am trying to piece together exactly what she had planned.

Keira – Don’t beat yourself over it too much. You saved all those people.

Roxi – No, I saved all of them, but one.

Vision – Yes, that’s the bad news of the day. We got the registry at the hotel, and those who were accounted for. There’s a long list.

Roxi – What do you mean?

Vision – Surveillance footage showed her walking in, and people in the lobby scattering. There were even some who got out of the building in the fire escapes. They got out, but they never came back to be accounted for.

Roxi – Dammit…

Keira – Well… we can at least try to narrow it down, right? How many people are unaccounted for?

Vision – 46.

Keira – Well, that’s not so big. Rox, do you remember them saying anything about taking people?

Roxi – No. I was just coming to when I saw they had someone.

Keira – Well, male or female?

Roxi – Definitely a man.

Keira – Vision, does that narrow our search?

Vision – Well, we have male names being used, But then again, not all of them could be right. People still use fake names.

Roxi – No, that person seemed important, not a random tourist. Maybe someone visiting for work, so they would have made a reservation. Amelia wouldn’t just take a person just to take them. She may be a lunatic, but it all fits the plan.

Keira – Whatever warped plan it is.

Vision – 30 names Rox.

{Roxi sits and thinks for a moment, looking around for inspiration.}

Keira – She didn’t say anything about it? Carrying some guy away?

Roxi – All she said was…

{Flashback : }

{It feels like a week, but it’s really only an hour before Roxi stirs. She shakes her head trying to clear the cobwebs, feeling herself tied up, with duct tape over her mouth. Hey eyes struggle to focus in on Amelia and Lei.}

Amelia – Oh, she’s awake. Good. Well superhero, you have a whole tone of evidence here. I’m going to give you a little more help this time. But, just so you don’t follow me too closely…

{Amelia hits the trigger on the denoator she’s holding, and it brings up a 5 minute timer on the wall.}

Amelia – I’ll see you really soon. Mmaky? Love you!

{Amelia kisses Roxi on the duct tape before departing, with Lei. Roxi watches them walk to the balcony, it’s only now that Roxi sees Lei carrying someone.}

{End Flashback.}

Keira – A ton of evidence?

Roxi – The penthouse… she had to leave something there. Something for us to find.

Keira – She wanted you to find it.  She’s been throwing this in our faces, taunting us, because we haven’t been able to keep up. She did it to tease us more.

Roxi – Vision, we need to get back in there.

Vision – Be careful.  Who knows what you’ll find in there.

Keira – What if this is a trap?

Roxi – It may be, but that man’s life is at stake. She’s already got one… and now a second, there’s something more to this. Hopefully this gives us a better look at what she may be planning.

Vision – Again, be careful, and let me know the moment you find something.

Roxi – We will.

{Roxi ends the chat, and turns to Keira.}

Roxi – Well… I should be back soon.

{Keira looks confused at Roxi’s statement, gripping Roxi’s arm}

Keira – What do you mean?

Roxi – What? I’m going to the hotel.

Keira – No, WE are going to the hotel.

Roxi – Keira… I need you to stay here.

{Keira shakes her head, not going along with this idea for one second.}

Keira – No, you are not going alone. Last time you got shot!

Roxi – Keira… if you haven’t noticed, Christine is still here. Tasha is here. Sasha lives downstairs. Someone needs to be here to protect them. Amelia is expecting this.

Keira – No. I am coming with you. They are asleep, and we will lock this place down to make sure they don’t get in. It’s that simple.

Roxi – I’d much rather you be here, in case anything does happen.

Keira – You are not getting me to stay here Roxi. No. I’m coming with you. Two sets of eyes are better than one. Let me help.

Roxi – ….

{Roxi knows Keira is not going to give up this fight. She lays both hands on Keira’s shoulders.}

Roxi – I don’t think that this is going to be a trap. I can search the penthouse and be back in no time. But… But I know you, you’d probably just lock the place down anyway…

Keira – You know I would. I’m not about to sit this one out being healthy. I was sick last time, so you got away with it, and it almost cost you. I will not allow the same thing to happen this time.

Roxi – Best case scenario, she thinks we already were this far. She won’t even be watching.

{Keira walks to the window, looking outside. Her eyes dart all around, as if she’s looking for something.}

Keira –I feel like she’s watching right now.

Roxi – We can’t worry about that now. We have to take the chance.

Keira – You’re right.

{Keira and Roxi suit up flying out the window, and locking down the building. They fly to the hotel as fast as possible, walking in, and taking the stairs, since the elevator is broken form the scuffle. They fly to the top, opening the door and looking around.}

Keira – This place is a mess.

Roxi – Yeah. I know. It was… quite the brew-ha-ha the other night.

Keira – Brew-ha-ha?

Roxi – Ok, it was a fight.  The point is, we have to find anything that was left behind.

{Roxi and Keira begin looking for anything that may be even remotely a clue. Time passes, as the two seemingly search the entire place top to bottom, but don’t find anything of value. Keira looks around, throwing her hands up.}

Keira – I feel like we’ve been at this for hours. There’s nothing here.

Roxi – There has to be. There’s something we’re missing.

Kiera – We’ve turned this place upside down. There’s nothing. We’ve searched this whole penthouse, and aside from lint, and other garbage, there’s nothing.

{Roxi thinks back turning hear head to the balcony, the helipad where Amelia took off from.}

Roxi – There.

{Keira looks up, slightly confused.}

Roxi – The helipad. She told me to follow her, but not too closely. She meant literally.

{Roxi rushes outside, and taped to the helipad, is a business card. Roxi pulls it up from the ground, looking at it.}

Roxi – Thomas W. Wilson. Entertainment lawyer.

Keira – Entertainment lawyer? Ew.

{Roxi calls Vision on her wrist communicator}

Roxi – Vision, does the name Thomas W. Wilson match any of the list of unaccounted for?

Vision – Checking… match. Thomas W. Wilson was in room 6A.  Checked in, the day before. Based out of Los Angeles. Entertainment lawyer.

Roxi – That’s our guy. Found his business card taped to the helipad.

Vision – We’ll get the word out.

Roxi – Thanks.

{Roxi ends the communication, and looks around, tapping her finger to her chin.}

Roxi – A casting agent…. And an entertainment lawyer.

Keira – Maybe that’s it, Amelia’s jealous we got our own tv show?

Roxi – No… no there’s more to this. But… you know what? Hold that thought, because you may be more right than you think Keira.

Keira – Speaking of which… we have to get back out to LA to shoot more of the show.

Roxi – Yeah… I know. It makes me nervous.

Keira – Why?

Roxi – Keira, we’re going to be away with Christine. We’ll have to talk to Sasha and Jocelyn, get them out of the building. Tasha’s almost there… she’ll be going to the hospital. We’re going to take Christine with us. I’m taking no chances. I have a feeling something big is on the horizon.

Keira – Do you think she’ll try something?

Roxi – I’m almost counting on it. Something with Hollywood. Something with movies or TV.  There’s no way it could all be red herrings.

Keira – Wait… why would she leave those fish?

Roxi – Not ACUTAL red herrings. But  she can’t be doing this just to throw us off. She wants us to figure this out.

Keira – L.A. may be unsafe… maybe we should leave Christine at home…

Roxi – No, she’s part of this. Maybe Amelia will follow, maybe she won’t. We’ve at least somewhat evened the playing field. Now, to try and gain the edge.

{Roxi calls Vision back.}

Roxi – Vision, are there ties between John Gilmore and Thomas W. Wilson?

Vision – I’m already on it Rox. Look like a lot of matches I’ll have to sift through to find anything that jumps out. I’ll get back to you as soon as I find anything of note.

Roxi – Thanks.

{Roxi ends the call again, Keira looking around at the night sky.}

Keira – I used to be able to look at the sky and feel safe in the emptiness. Now I feel like she’s everywhere. Because she could be. We have to stop her.

Roxi – I think we’re on to something. There’s not much we can besides try and be normal until Vision finds a lead.

Keira – I hate this. I’d much rather just end this and send her back to jail… with the brief stop in the ER.

Roxi – Keira, calm yourself.  We have to play the game. We don’t have a choice.

Keira – She’s lucky I wasn’t here.  I would have ended this mess.

Roxi – Relax. Come on we have to go home and pack.

Keira – Yeah, and don’t forget the training stuff, we need to get one last session in before we face the Fallen.

{Roxi nods to Keira, floating into the air.}

Roxi – I won’t. Let’s go.

{Roxi and Keira fly off as the scene fades.}

<HR>
As usual, things get hectic for me. There’s always a lot of pressure on me. I have to be there for everyone, protect everyone. It’s not something I take lightly. I still want to see about helping Tim and his deal with Brother Grimm. But for some reason, Tim hates my guts too. I don’t know what I ever did to him, but there seems to be some kind of disconnect there, and it makes things extremely difficult to try and help without just butting in and making things worse. I really don’t want to do that. But I promised Misty I would be her eyes and ears. I promised I would help her, and I intend on doing it.

I figured I’d actually be able to sit down and scope things out this week, but now having this tag title defense makes things difficult.  I can’t spend too much time trying to find a way to help Tim, and then neglect my own battles. As confident as I am about beating the Fallen, I know that one slip up could cost us the tag titles. I know you can’t make mistakes against the Fallen, otherwise I might still be bombshell’s champion right now. But I let my guard down and in the end I lost to Gothika twice. And although I did manage to hold the championship again, it was not the real me and I almost don’t even want to remember what I had to do to get it. No, I let myself get down, get focused on the wrong things and it cost me. I don’t want that to happen to Keira and I because of me. No, we need to focus. Focus on the tasks at hand.

Ugh… it’s hard to not be distracted. In and out of the ring. Things with this pregnancy of Christine, taking care of another pregnant woman in Tasha, filming this kids TV show, and then there are even more people, who may need me to give them a hand outside the ring, or an ear to listen, or shoulder to cry on. Whoever said being a superhero is no bed of roses wasn’t kidding.

And I really want the show to succeed. Keira is always so happy when she’s playing Riley, she wants to be a star, and that’s the kind of thing she needs. Her life has had so much darkness that it’s hard to see her have a hard time. It breaks my heart. She’s lit up my life by always being so supportive and understanding, even if sometimes she does take a long time to get things and see that most of the time I’m trying to help her out. Everything I try to do for her, may not seem like it’s good to her at first, but it is. It’s almost like I’m a parent to her and she’s my rebellious teenager. Sooner or later, we all realize that our parents weren’t so bad back then, and they were trying to help. Keira sees that now.

And her being tag champions with me? It’s the greatest feeling ever. Outside of our wedding day, I cannot think of a better day than when we won. And we’ve gone from not just being a good team, but to being champions. And now from being champions, to being great champions, now, one last journey remains, but it’s the longest journey of them all. From being great champions, to being the GREATEST champions.

And that starts with beating the Fallen. One More. Time.

<HR>
{The scene opens back up with Roxi, Keira and Christine getting off the plane, back in Los Angeles, getting ready to film another episode of their kids show. Christine still notices that something may be up as Roxi and Keira continue to look around, almost as if they are looking for someone.}

Christine – Guys… what gives? Are… are your next tag opponents looking for you or something?

Roxi – What? The Fallen? No, I don’t think so.

Keira – We just… don’t want to be late.

Christine – Guys, you’re with me, we’re not going to be late. I’m the producer, remember?

Roxi – Well, right, but still, don’t want you to get in trouble. Plus, with how you are now, they will have bring in a replacement.

Keira – Yeah, I mean, what if you get fired or something?

{Christine waves it off, taking a sip of her bottled water and finishing it, before throwing it in a recycle container.}

Christine – Trust me, we’re fine. And I want to be on the show as long as possible. I really think this can take off.

{Keira smiles, knowing her dream was to be in movies and TV.}

Keira – You think so?

Christine – Of course.

{Christine places a hand on Keira’s back, comforting her.}

Christine – Kylie and Riley are so good with kids, and that’s really showing on both of you. You guys love kids, right?

Roxi – Well, yeah, we’re getting on of our own soon.

{Roxi slyly smiles and places a hand on Christine’s stomach. Christine giggles.}

Christine – I’m happy to do it. You guys always are there for me.

Roxi – And we always will be.

{Roxi and Keira get recognized from their in-ring exploits, and sign a few autographs and take a few selfie’s with people along the way, but at the same time, their eyes are watchful for anything suspicious, and Christine continues to pick up on it.}

Christine – Seriously guys… are you okay?

Roxi – Sure.

Christine – Are you just… messing with me?

Roxi – No, why would we do that?

Keira – We’re just being extra careful is all. Don’t want to lose you.

Christine – I’m not a 5 year old.

Roxi – We have a motto when it comes to our friends.

Keira – Treated like a princess, protected like a baby.

Roxi – That’s right, and you…you’re precious cargo basically.

Christine – You really think someone is going to want to attack me?

Roxi – No, but… one never can be too sure.

Christine – I think you’re just being overprotective.

Roxi – Maybe.

Keira – Still, better safe than sorry, right?

{Keira’s stomach growls loudly}

Christine – Keira…

Keira – Sorry… I didn’t have much on the plane.

Roxi – You ate 5 chicken quarters.

Keira – I know… you know how my metabolism is… I’m hungry… can we get some food?

Roxi – Yeah… looks like we’re gonna have to.

Keira – You know how I get when I don’t eat enough food… slow, lethargic… I don’t want to be like that for the show.

Christine – I’m sure we can find a place to grab some food.

Roxi – Or maybe a grocery store…

Keira – It doesn’t really matter which, just need food.

Roxi – Alright, alright, let’s go.

{The three continue to walk, get into the rental car, and drive to their hotel to check in, once there, they check in, and deliver the bags to the rooms. Christine has her own room, but quickly drops everything off, and goes back to Roxi and Keira’s room.}

Christine – Everything okay in here?

Roxi – Yes, the room is fine. You don’t have to do this kind of stuff Christine.

Christine – But I want to.

{Keira walks out of the bathroom looking up from her phone.}

Keira – We have been in bad hotel rooms before. It just happens that way. It’s not like we need a lot. But still... thanks.

Roxi – Yeah. Really.

{Christine smiles, pleased with herself.}

Christine – I’m glad you guys like it. So, you guys getting ready?

{Roxi smiles back at her, as Keira plops down on the bed.}

Roxi – Yeah, we’ll get a shower in, and get ready.

Keira – Yup.

{Christine smiles as she heads back to her room.}

Christine – Just come over and knock when you guys are ready!

Roxi – Sure.

{Christine walks out of the door, and back to her own room. Roxi instantly looks at Keira.}

Roxi – I need you to stand outside her room while I shower. Or at the very least… go sit with her.

{Keira sits up, noticing the serious tone in Roxi’s voice.}

Keira - You really think –

{Roxi cuts Keira off with a finger point straight up in the air, and a sharp glare.}

Roxi – Yes. It’s absolutely necessary. I am not taking any chances with this Keira.  I was halfway tempted to put a tracker in her purse.

Keira – Rox…. We don’t need to do things like that.

Roxi – I didn’t. But I get the vibe, the feeling….

Keira – You think…. You think she’s here?

{Roxi turns to the window, looking out at the daytime L.A. sky.}

Roxi – Without a doubt. I felt it locking the apartments down. I felt it in the airport, on the plane, in LAX, and now, here. She’s everywhere.

Keira – Maybe she stayed back, I think she’s getting to you. You need to relax, you’re  getting paranoid.

Roxi – No…not paranoid just not taking any chances. Go stay with her.

Keira – Alright.

{Keira stands up, and heads to the door.}

Keira – Just, knock on the wall or something when you’re finished?

Roxi – I will. If anything happens…

Keira – Rox… seriously, just relax for a little bit. I don’t think anything is going to happen in the 10 minutes it takes you to shower. You’re scaring Christine, and me.

{Keira snickers at the joke, but still sees Roxi with a deadly serious look on her face.}

Roxi – Please…

Keira – Alright. Alright. Just… let me know when you’re done.

{Keira opens the door, leaves, and Roxi listens as Keira knocks and enters Christine’s room. Taking perhaps only a moment to let her guard down, Roxi begins to disrobe as she shuts the bathroom door to shower and the scene fades.}

{After the episode has wrapped, Roxi, Keira and Christine exit the studio, driving back to the hotel.}

Roxi – Well, I thought that was a good episode.

Keira – Yeah, but since we’re in town, Mr. Lynch wants to film tomorrow too.

Christine – Well, we all want this show to succeed.

Keira – I know, it makes me very happy. I’ve always wanted to be a TV star.

Christine – You’re going to be. You’re doing so well.

Keira – I hope so. It’s a welcome change from all the other stuff we have to do.

{Roxi glances over to Keira, a questioning look on her face.}

Roxi – You mean you don’t like being tag team champions? Or Wrestling?

Keira – No, no. I love that. Especially with you. It’s a dream to be a tag champion with my wife. To hold those Bombshell’s tag titles, and to be fighting champions like we are, it’s amazing. Being Breakout champion is nice. It really is. But I want to do more.

Christine – You already do a lot.

Keira – Yeah, but something that everyone can enjoy.

Roxi – Christine is right Keira. You do a lot for people.

{Keira playfully scoffs.}

Keira – No, that’s you, Roxi. You help everyone. Me most of all.

Roxi – I just try my best is all. But you both know how important you are to me. I will always do everything I can to make sure you guys are safe.

{Christine blushes as Roxi continues to drive and pulls into the hotel parking lot. They enter, heading back to their rooms to drop everything off. Christine knocks and re-enters Roxi and Keira’s room.}

Christine – So, what do you guys want to do tonight?
{Keira slyly grins and winks.}

Keira – I can think of a few things.

Roxi – Knock it off Keira.

Keira – Party pooper.

{Roxi looks out the window.}

Roxi – Well, this looks like a quiet night, why don’t’ we just go for a walk?

Keira – Just… a walk?

Christine – Yeah, a walk around L.A. There’s always stuff to do and see.

Roxi – But mostly so we’re not cooped up in here our entire time here.

Keira – Yeah, it would be nice to get some exercise before we hit the training hard. That tag title defense is getting closer and closer.

Roxi – I know, we’ll be ready.

Keira – Ready to kick some Fallen ass again!

Roxi – Well, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. They are very tough.

Keira – We beat them twice. I just think we’re better.

Roxi – That doesn’t mean this will be a cakewalk. We have a lot of hard work in front of us.

Keira – I know, but I’ll ready.

Roxi – I know you will.

{Christine affectionately rubs along Keira’s back, sitting next to her on the bed.}

Christine – I believe in you guys.

Keira – Thank you, love.

Roxi – Alright, let’s get out there, take in the air and just relax.

{Christine stands up from the bed, heading towards the door.}

Christine – Let me change my shoes.

{Christine exits and heads out the door to her room. Keira stands up, looking at Roxi, a slight smile on her face.}

Keira – You seem a bit more relaxed yourself.

Roxi – I am. I feel like a little bit of weight is off. Maybe I was wrong and she’s back home waiting…

Keira – I told you, you were just being paranoid.

Roxi – I still don’t think so, but at the very least, this is a way to wind down.

Keira – Right.

{Roxi, Keira and Christine are soon on the streets, walking, talking pictures with fans, and for themselves. They enjoy the fresh air and smile and wave as fans to acknowledge them. They walk along a strip mall with many small shops open for business.}

Roxi – You see anything you like Keira?

Keira – Not really, I more… hungry than anything.

Christine – There’s lots of shoes.

Keira – That’s more Roxi’s thing.

Roxi – Leave me shoes alone.

{Keira giggles as Christine stops to enter a purse shop.}

Christine – I’m just going to look around for a sec, be right out.

Roxi – Okay, we’ll be here.

{Roxi and Keira stand next to each other, Keira laying her head on Roxi’s shoulder.}

Keira – This was a good idea. This is nice.

Voice – It is a good night.

{Roxi and Keira turn, knowing full well who the voice belonged to.}

Keira – You.

Amelia – Hello.

Roxi – Amelia….

Amelia – In the flesh.
{Lei steps out of the shadows behind Amelia, who’s in an alleyway. She says nothing, standing behind Amelia like a loyal bodyguard.}

Roxi – What do you want?

Amelia – What? Am I not allowed to enjoy the sights and sounds of the city of Angels? Hollywood?! This place can make you a star! Who doesn’t want to come here?

Keira – That’s not what she meant, dipshit.

Amelia – So sassy sidekick.  I can see why she went away.

{Keira arches a brow, believing Amelia was referring to Jean. She takes a step, but Roxi holds her back.}

Roxi – Calm down.

Amelia – You should keep that dog on a leash. Or at least a muzzle.

Keira – I will end you right here!

Roxi – Keira! Stop!
Amelia – So, what are you two lovebirds doing here?

Roxi – None of your business. Why are you following us?

Amelia – Because you guys are so darn interesting. You’ve become my hobby as of late, Well, that and kidnapping, and murder.

{Amelia laughs, Roxi shakes her head in disgust.}

Roxi – You will pay for what do did.

Amelia – Well, I’m standing right here! What are you going to do about it?

{Roxi looks around, knowing that Amelia wants a scene caused. She just stares daggers at Amelia.}

Amelia – That’s what I thought.

{Christine walks out the purse shop, re-joining Roxi and Keira, who now have to protect her.}

Christine – Hey guys, I think I’m gonna get this purse, and..

{Christine eyes Amelia and then turns to Roxi.}

Christine – Who are they?

Amelia – We’re just fans. Passing through, sorry to bug you ladies…. Have a good night.

{Amelia gives Roxi and Keira sly grin as she passes by with Lei. The color drains from Roxi’s face as now Christine is in mortal danger. Keira is just furious as she stares a hole through them as they disappear into the crowd.}
Roxi – Come on, we’re going back to the hotel.

Christine – But don’t you want to see more stuff?

Keira – Roxi’s right, we should get enough sleep.

{Roxi and Keira almost forcibly take Christine by the hand and walk back towards the hotel as the scene fades.}

If it’s not one thing it’s another. It’s a gut feeling. Murphy’s law sometimes, that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. This tag title defense, right before another one at My Bloody Valentine? Potentially taking us out of the match entirely? That’s wrong. I get it, we haven’t defended these tag titles since we beat the Fallen last time at December to Dismember. So, we should have defended them at some point, but this seems a bit late in the game for added drama. After going toe to toe with the Bombshell’s champion herself, and winning no less, it’s right back to the grind. And that’s okay. I can see where Keira was a little paranoid, but at the same time, we’re fighting champions.  We will not back down from any challenge, and that’s why we’re going into this match more ready than we ever will be, despite all the outside distractions, and despite the not so rosey outlook.

I give the Fallen all the credit they deserve. They are certainly a hall of fame level tag team. Keira and I have our work cut out for us like we always seem to have. Every match is a challenge and presents a set of problems we need to overcome. The Fallen are big and strong and rough and mean. Not to mention that the Angel Clan gets a front row seat for scouting us and Fallen at the same time. It’s a distraction, but Keira and I have targets on our backs, we understand that. We know the challenges of being champions. We’ve grown accustomed to the eyes, and the expectations on us. We know what we have to do. And I know, it’s easy to say that, and an entirely different thing to go out there and do it. But we’re Team Hero, and this is what we do. We rise to the occasion, fight off challenges and move on to the next ones.

The Fallen will no doubt be hungry, no pun intended, to win. But we are just as hungry to not only go out there and raise the bar of bombshell’s tag team wrestling, but to win, keep these championships, and move on to the next problem. Though, the more I see the Angel Clan and the Fallen, the similarities are there. Two tough vampire-esque teams… the only difference is  Mel and Lucy are our friends outside the ring. But while that will make things even more difficult in the future, and the possibility that they are so equal they will find common ground and possibly join forces… despite all that, Team Hero is going to come out of top, and overcome all those distractions.

We can, and we will.

One step at a time. One defense at a time.

First the Fallen, and then the Angel Clan.

I’m excited, and ready to go… at least, as much as I can be given the circumstances.

I will see you all there.
