 All I’ve have to think about for the past month, is how bad I let things get. I can’t seem to shake this betrayal of Amy Marshall, and make it go away. Not only did I not see it coming, not only did I not help the situation, Amy took my championship from me, and now… now she owns it. She’s a grand slam champion, and the only one in SCW history, thanks to my lack of effort, and lack of understanding. I was still shell-shocked at Into the Void that Amy could betray me the way she did, and it cost me. It’s not an excuse for losing, it’s just what happened. I still should have been able to beat her, but I was hoping that this was a phase that Amy would be able to get over at the match. That after I beat her that maybe she would realize that this was silly and not worth it.

But I was wrong.

Amy stole my championship, and then she completed my humiliation and beat me for it fair and square. I have no excuses, I got beat. In a way, I am happy for Amy because for so long, everyone regarded her as an afterthought. They never gave her a chance. Maybe I fell into that trap myself at Into the Void. And as such, I gave Amy all the momentum she needed, all the drive she needed to beat me and become what she has become. In a strange way I am actually proud of her. No one can take away her accomplishments no one can take away what she has done in her career in SCW, she’s done what no one else has done.

But that does not make her unbeatable.

While she beat me, I can live with it, knowing that her reign could be incredibly short come Sunday. Just like that, her accomplishment is just a footnote because she won the championship just to lose it back. But then again, that’s been the story with Amy Marshall and championships in SCW. She wins them, and then, just as quickly, they slip through her fingers. The simple fact is Amy Marshall has lost every championship she’s ever had, on her first defense. It’s kind of why, I’m not even concerned about beating her in this tag match. I don’t even really want to. I was her to know the feeling of actually escaping with a championship in her hand, even she loses. Because that’s what’s going to happen in Hong Kong. Keira and I are going to beat Amy and Jessie right in the middle of the ring, and… I may just win back the Internet championship, but the honest truth is, I don’t want to win it in some tag team match. I don’t want it to be some kind of fluke. No, I intend on taking my rematch against Amy Marshall at Summer XXXtreme, and there, I will take the title back, with no excuses, and no regrets.

Now, as of late, I haven’t had much to say about Amy, and even last week, I don’t know why I just let Amy lay me out like that, but for some reason I hesitated. She may believe that I am broken, that she’s scored some kind of psychological advantage, and maybe this loss has stayed with me. I assure everyone that I may be down, but I am not out. I will not go quietly into the night, because I was defeated in a match. It takes a lot more than that to keep me down.  Rest assured.

But to this match, I have one real goal in mind, and that is to make sure that Jessie doesn’t win the Roulette championship. I know Keira can do just fine on her own, I know that she proved her point last week by defending her championship successfully against Crystal Hilton. That made me proud. But I’m basically playing defense in this match. Well, offense too, but as I said, I’m not even looking to pin Amy in this tag match, because I want her one on one. I just need to stop Jessie. I know Jessie is tough, she gave me all I could handle a few months ago, and she was a real woman and didn’t attack me from behind or steal the championship from me. She has at least a little honor. It’s really just a shame that she has to associate with someone like Amy Marshall, and walk that fine line between friendship and loyalty based on what Amy has done. Jessie’s clearly in an uncomfortable situation, and that’s sad. I feel for Jessie, I really do.

But in this match, she’s not taking anything from me, or my wife.

We’re going to beat the Metal and Punk connection, and I am going to send a clear message to Amy Marshall, that while she may have put me down, she cannot keep me down, and once I get back up, her days and numbered as champion. So I want her to cherish the next few times she may appear on SCW television as the Internet champion, because soon, it’ll all be over. As history tells us. Amy’s usually a one and done champion anyway, aside from the tag team titles. So this is her moment of glory. I’m going to let her enjoy it, it will make it all the more enjoyable, when I take it from her. And Jessie, you just happen to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time. This isn’t personal with you, this is just business. It’s always great to wrestle you, but Keira and I are out to prove a point. And so, we will.

Team Hero is coming to Hong Kong, and we’re leaving with gold. Maybe… just maybe… both pieces of gold at that.

{It was a long month for Roxi, having lost the Internet championship to Amy Marshall, first being attacked and Amy stealing from the championship from her, and at Into the Void, Amy defeated Roxi. A month of mind games that Roxi was not ready for. And it appeared that Amy’s claims of “breaking” Roxi were true, when Amy easily laid Roxi out again in Sri Lanka. And now, it appeared that Amy had crossed into a different world, when she… captured Roxi, seemingly knowing everything about her…

Roxi’s world was black. She lay unconscious, broken glass all around her. Her belt had been removed and she had various cuts from the glass. A heavy steel-toed set of boots thudded across the wooden floor. They stopped at Roxi’s body, as the owner stepped over her prone body. The owner was clearly female. The person bend down and in the frame, it was clearly Amy Marshall, who smiled as she reached up, feeling Roxi’s mask, and grabbing where it met the rest of her costume. Taking delicate care, Amy peeled off the mask, and smirked at her findings.}

Amy Marshall – Well, where have I seen this before?

{Amy stood up and tossed the mask aside. She casually looked down at Roxi who was still out cold. Amy again placed her boot on Roxi’s chest in triumph.}

Amy Marshall: You ever get the feeling of déjà vu? I feel like this exact thing has happened before…

{Amy chuckled at her own joke as she moved her foot over and simply stood over Roxi.}

Amy Marshall – This one too. Hmmm…

{Amy finished stepping over Roxi’s prone body and walked over to a nearby by table. She continued to talk to Roxi, even though Roxi couldn’t hear a word of it.}

Amy Marshall – Oh, yeah, that’s right. Silly me. This has been what’s happened every time we’ve been in the same place.  You end up flat on your back, and I walk away the winner. And what do you know, here we are again, and the same result. I’m beginning to think I’ve broken you to the point that you like it. Oh well.

{Amy walks back over with several lengths of rope. She drops them on the floor beside Roxi, knelt down beside her, a smirk on her face.}

Amy Marshall – Now we’re really going to have some fun.

{Amy starts to roll Roxi over, and begins tying her up, chuckling to herself and then humming a tune while she worked.}

{Flash forward, and Roxi was bound at the elbows, wrists, knees, and ankles with rope. Amy had also placed her in a chair, and tied her ankle to the chair as well. Amy walked back in, and began lightly slapping Roxi with her own mask.}

Amy Marshall – Wake up sleepyhead.

{Roxi slowly began to come around, not really knowing what was going on. She looked around, and she saw Amy, and was even more confused.}

Roxi – A…. Amy?

Amy Marshall – That’s right. Good morning.

Roxi – Wait… what are you doing?… What is… going on?

Amy Marshall – Well, I enjoyed humiliating you, knocking you out, and leaving you laying so much in SCW. I figured I’d just finish the job here.

Roxi – N… no.. You.. you can’t be here…

Amy Marshall – But yet, here I am.  And there you are, tied up, unmasked, defeated, and humiliated. AGAIN.

{Amy smirks as Roxi slowly looks around, realizing her situation.}

Amy Marshall – This, was all me Roxi, and it was so easy. Take some poor jackoff and hold him til you showed up. And then, I beat you, again. I beat you at your own game. I have taken everything, from you. I tricked you, betrayed you, and stole your championship, which, is now… MY championship. And now, no more playing hero. I may have done it wrong by going after Roxi Johnson first, and not… Lady Bedlam. But capturing you, was easier than I thought. But I know why. Because Roxi Johnson is broken.

{Roxi continues to slowly scan the room, trying not to listen to Amy’s tirade}

Amy Marshall – You know, I think you may actually like this. I know Keira did.

{Roxi’s eyes perk up a bit.}

Roxi – Keira…

{Amy smirks and holds her hand over her mouth.}

Amy Marshall – Oh, that’s right. I forgot, she’s coming to save you!

{Amy turns to a nearby door and walks in, she begins wheeling something out, and it turns out to be Keira, who is also knocked out, tied up, and unmasked.}

Amy Marshall – Actually, I took her down too. No one is coming to save you. Keira is mine, and you are mine too. I’ve won. Just admit it. You are broken. I know it, so do you. I saw it in your eyes right before I put down with the Bad Girl. You’re done. You know, I should have made you strap the title around my waist. I should have made you kiss my foot and tell the whole world how much greater I am than you. And I still may.

{Roxi’s eyes are fixed on Keira, who remains out cold. Amy notices this.}

Amy Marshall – Oh, don’t worry, she’s not dead. It took some doing, but, I finally got her down. She’s a hellcat sometimes. But like most animals, I tamed Keira. It was something to see. You know she came to my locker room and jumped my bones? Obviously, she knew about me. But hey, who can blame her? But you know what I think? I think that this, this whole thing right here, is what you want…

{Roxi tried to fidget about to loosen the ropes, but could not. Amy walked towards her with a sick smile on her face.}

Amy Marshall – I know I’ve wanted it. To have you all to myself. And here you are, tied up and helpless…

{Roxi heard yet another set of footsteps walking towards them. She also heard the distinct sound of a liquid being spilled onto the floor, and resulted in the smell of gasoline. Amy turned and snapped her fingers in disappointment.}

Amy Marshall – Awww… here come the party pooper…

{Claire rounded the bend still draining what was left of the gas can over the wooden floor. She turned to see Roxi awake and alert.}

Claire – Ah, good, you’re finally awake.

Roxi – Claire?

Claire – Yes, dummy, who else did you think did this to you?

{Roxi looked around for Amy, who was… no longer there. Claire looked her with a confused look.}

Claire – What is wrong with you? This is your punishment for failing me last time. I’m going to burn this place to the ground. With you inside. But, I’m going to give you a fighting chance. So you ready?

{Claire picks up Roxi’s mask off the ground and then pulls out a knife. She cuts Roxi free and tosses her the mask.}

Claire – Put it on, hero.

{Roxi quickly slides her mask over her face as she looks around, she sees Amy once again behind her.}

Amy Marshall – I would have left you tied up, but that’s just me.

{Roxi is about to turn back when she is struck on the back of the head with a pistol by Claire. Roxi goes down in a heap, and is semi-conscious. Claire takes a match and lights the gas on fire. She turns to leave, but yells back.}

Claire – I’ll kill you next time you fail….

{Roxi slowly rolled onto her back as the fire started to spread quickly. Amy was standing over her.}

Amy Marshall – This is how easy it is to beat you? This is sad? Now you’re going to die in fire…

{Roxi shakes out the cobwebs and stands as the fire keeps spreading and the air is thick with black smoke. Roxi coughs and stumbles as she makes it Keira’s chair, and starts undoing the ropes.}

Amy Marshall – Better hurry… I don’t think you’re going to make it…

{Roxi uses the fire to burn through the ropes, and grabs Keira and starts running with her towards any kind of exit.}

Amy Marshall – She’s you might as well just stop now. You’ve had a good run…

{Roxi holds on to Keira and dives out of the window, flying and gently floating to the ground nearby. Roxi begins coughing uncontrollably now that she’s in the fresh air, but she has not time to celebrate as Amy is right next to her.}

Amy Marshall – You surprise me, maybe there’s a little fight left in you after all…

{Roxi gets to her feet, and looks over at Keira, but instead of Keira, it’s a security guard.}

Roxi – Wha…

{Roxi shakes her head, wondering what was going on as the security guard comes to.}

Roxi – You… alright?

Security Guard – Yeah… I’m alright.  What happened?

Roxi – Something must have caught fire. Was there anyone else in the building?

Security Guard – No. I’m usually the only one walking the floors at night.

Roxi – Get a hold of the fire department when you can.

Security Guard – Yeah…. Sure…

{Roxi turns to walk away, but sees Amy leaning against a light pole.}

Amy Marshall – Wow, way to lie to that poor security guard. Didn’t even bother to tell him you were captured.. shame, shame Lady Bedlam. You must be pretty good at lying, You do it really well.

Shut up Amy…

{As if she heard Roxi’s inner thoughts, Amy acts shocked.}

Amy Marshall – So rude. I will not shut up! You know I’m right…

{Roxi’s eyes widen as she now has it figured out. She brushes past Amy ready to head back home, when Amy grabs her from behind. Try as she might, Roxi can’t break free.}

Amy Marshall – Where do you think you’re going? You think you’re going to get away… Oh no…

{Amy reaches into her back pocket and pulls out a rag, she clamps it over Roxi’s face. Roxi bucks wildly trying to get Amy off of her.}

Amy Marshall – Shh… it’s alright, soon, I’m gonna take you, like I did you wife…

{Roxi starts to fade from the foul-smelling rag. Her eyes close…}

Roxi – Ahh!

{Roxi jolts up, from bed, the sunshine from the windows displays it to be early morning. Keira is already awake, but not in the room, she rushes to the bedroom door from the kitchen and opens it.}

Keira – Roxi?

{Roxi looks around, confused.}

Keira – Roxi? Are you alright?

{Roxi catches her breath and calms herself.}

Roxi – Yeah… yeah, A bad… bad dream. Sorry. I thought we were late…

Keira – No… we’re alright. I was just about to wake you up anyway. Now that you’re awake you can eat some breakfast while I take a shower.

Roxi – Y.. yeah… Okay.

{Roxi gets out of bed and walks into the dining room and eats a bowl of cereal. She hears the shower in use, as she continues to shake out the cobwebs and shake out her nightmare. She quickly finishes her cereal and strawberry slices as she gathers her bags and places them in front of the door. She lays an outfit out on the bed, preparing to shower once Keira is done. She does a final check of the room before heading back to the kitchen to clean her dishes. Once she heads back into the bedroom however…}

Roxi – No…

Amy Marshall – I don’t know about you Rox, but I think Keira’s body is fucking sweet. The ass is fat. The titties are huge… you did well. Still. You’re no slouch either.

{Keira opens the door wrapped in a towel when she hears Roxi talk.}

Keira – Did you say something?

{Roxi looks at Amy who has a smirk on her face, and then back at Keira.}

Roxi – I… just was making sure I had everything.

Keira – Oh… alright.  Don’t forget the toiletries are still in here, you need to pack them once you’re out of the shower…

Roxi – I… I will.

Keira – You sure you’re okay?

Roxi – Yeah, I’m fine. I promise.

{Keira slowly nods as she closes the door back.}

Amy Marshall – She looks good naked. Wouldn’t you agree?

{Roxi walks away and shuts to the door, and is back into the kitchen and dining room, trying to avoid seeing Amy everywhere. She paces back and forth, and takes a breath before opening the door, and… there’s no Amy. Keira exits the bathroom fully clothed and her hair in place as she grabs her personal bag and her toiletries.}

Keira – You’re up.

Roxi – Okay, everything is by the door.

Keira – Thanks.

{Roxi and Keira share a kiss as Roxi grabs her clothes and heads into the bathroom.}

{After the shower, Roxi exits with her clothes on and her last few things packed. Keira has already taken most of it downstairs. Keira returns and Roxi uncages Trixie and Buster they both grab a cage and takes them downstairs. They knock on their neighbor Sasha’s door.}

Sasha – Hi guys.

Keira – Hey Sasha. We have a delivery for you.

{Trixie and Buster enter Sasha’s apartment and Roxi and Keira drop off the cages.}

Roxi – They usually like to walk around 7, and… you might wanna keep your shoes locked away.

{Roxi glares at Keira}

Roxi – Somebody has been teaching them that shoes are okay to eat…

Keira – Just yours…

Sasha – Ladies, really. I’ll take care of them. I promise.

{Roxi smiles and kneels down as Buster and Trixie lick her face.}

Roxi – I know, I know… Mommy loves you both. You be good. Say good-bye to mommy Keira.

{Keira kneels down and the dogs lick her too.}

Sasha – Enjoy your anniversary vacation ladies.

Keira – We will. Thanks for watching out for the doggies.

Sasha – Anytime.

{The three exchange hugs and kisses and Roxi and Keira leave.}

Keira – Everything all set?

{Roxi and Keira walk outside. Roxi looks around uses her special guild phone. She punches in a code, and metal shutters lock over all the windows.}

Roxi – It is now.

Keira – Well… Paris here we come!

{Roxi and Keira load their luggage into their SUV, and drive towards the airport.}
