It had been three long years since Caleb had left SCW, initially being taken off the road due to suffering an arm injury in an Internet Title Match against Brother David Shephard at 2021’s High Stakes X event Caleb’s contract quietly ran out after Adrienne Beaufort was released at her request and they moved back to Syracuse, New York later that year, it seemed like Caleb was done with SCW for good.

That is until 2024’s Blast from the Past Tournament was announced and Caleb announced his surprise return for the tournament! Caleb was debuting with another surprise to boot because he was teaming with newcomer Nakita Niles who had joined the fed to compete in the tournament, they didn’t have to wait long to learn of their first round opponents either because Caleb and Nakita were teaming up in the opening round of the Blast from the Past Tournament, their opponents? Caleb’s old foe “Bulldog” Bill Barnhart and another newcomer known only as Roux! Can Caleb and Nakita get the win.

It’s been a while, hasn’t it?

The last time you folks saw me I was being stretched out of the ringside area following my Internet Title Match against Brother David Shepard at High Stakes X, why? Because I had dislocated my arm during that match! And if you think that’s bad? Remember, that show was being hold in my home state of New York!

Yeah, it wasn’t exactly a good hometown moment to put it lightly! And after Adrienne shot herself in the foot when wresting under my wife’s management for SCW and eventually left for mental health reasons I let my SCW contract expire and moved back to New York.

What have I been doing since then? Not a lot.

I had to give up the guitar because my arm injury meant that my playing ability was never the same as it was beforehand, I did the occasional indie show when I was healing, mostly as someone who did signings and whatnot and once my arm had completely healed I started training for my comeback.

All I’m saying is that missing months of action leaves you with more than a little ring rust, but once I got back into the groove I mostly stuck to the New York area because I didn’t think there was a place for me on the current SCW roster, then I got the idea in my head to return for Blast from the Past and basically see where I went from there and now I’m in my current predicament.

Having to tell the ladies in my life that I’ll be returning to SCW.

“Okay, Caleb usually when you have a surprise for me, it causes me a few headaches.” Katie pointed out as she sat next to Adrienne on the sofa, Adrienne’s girlfriend Freya was hanging around in the background. “I hope this isn’t one of those headache inducing moments.”

”Trust me Katie, you’re going to love this one.” I assured my wife and she took a sip from a drink right before I dropped it. ”I’ve been in contact with Sin City Wrestling over the past few months, I’m going to be returning for the Blast from the Past Tournament.”

Yep, that was all it took for Katie to nearly spit out her drink. “You’re going to WHAT?!” Katie asked with an exasperated look on her face. “Caleb, you remember how tumoltous your relationship with that tournament is, right? Never mind how many guys and girls have come and gone in the time since you left, for god’s sake Jessie’s pregnant and her cousin has been wrestling in her old spot.”

”Well, at least Amber Ryan and Masque aren’t there anymore.” Adrienne commented with a shudder as she thought back to her last match in SCW. ”But you are sure about this Caleb?”[/font]

“I mean personally? I’d pay good money to see him tear it up with the likes of Perer Vaughn or Alexander Raven!” Freya chimed in and we turned to her. “When are they announcing the teams anyway?”

”Sunday night, at this year’s Blaze of Glory show.” I explained and the three women nodded as they got the idea. ”It’s in Flagstaff, Arizona and the tournament will coincide with this year’s first international tout.”

“So like last year’s Unsolved Mysteries tour? I wonder if the locations will be as random or if the routing will be as weird as that tour was?” Katie wondered out loud as she leaned back. “Seriously, two dates in Scotland, one date in Romania and then the final date in London? And not at any of the major Scottish cities either?”

”I know right? I have trouble finding those Scottish locations on a map when they were announced.” I responded with a nod before sitting down and the topc shifted elsewhere.

Come Sunday night I would learn two important facts about my return for the Blast from the Past Tournament, one: my partner was Nakita Niles, a newcomer to SCW who had signed up for the tournament, if anything that put us on equal footing, from what I could gather Nakita was a former servicewoman in the army turned wrestler with quite a reputation outside SCW, and as for the tour?

Well fittingly, it was a Battlefields Tour, shows that would be taking place at the sites of famous battles and the first show was taking place in Hastings, England! For those who may not remember how my last trip to England went? SCW’s tour at the time was brought to a screeching halt by the pandemic.

Fast forward another week and I found out that me and Nakita were opening up this year’s tournament against my old foe Bill Barnhart and another newcomer known only as Roux! This was gonna be interesting.

I’ll admit, I’ve missed being on the road with SCW.

Maybe living in New York for the past few years had something to do with it, especially since I never really ventured outside of New York in that time, hell Adrienne did he most traveling when she was going overseas for CULT.

But you’re here to talk about a failed bombshell right?

It has also been a while since my feet touched British soil and getting used to that fact has been fun, that said, I’m ready to get back into it.

“I know you’ve been training with me and Adrienne since your partnership with Nakita was announced.” Katie commented as she lay back on her bed and I glanced over at her. “But you sure you’re ready for this?”

”I’m sure, don’t worry, besides from what I’ve seen? Bill hasn’t really changed much in the three years since I left SCW.” I responded as turned to face my wife. ”He and Bea had a brief reign with the Mixed Tag Titles and he’s held the Roulette Title twice, outside of that? He’s been doing his old schtick.”

“Heh, some things never change.” Katie chuckled as she brushed some hair over her shoulder. “Where you able to find anything out about this Roux person?”

”Nope, all I know for certain is that she’s Bill’s partner, couldn’t even find a bio for her.” I responded with a shrug and Katie nodded. ”Should be interesting to see how this plays out.”

“For sure.” Katie nodded in agreement before she sat up in her bed. “So, have you decided to make your return full time yet?”

”Not yet, I want to see how the tournament plays out.” I admitted as I shook my head and Katie nodded. ”In the meantime? We may as well enjoy our time here in Hastings.”

“We’ll be here for a week, don’t know if there’s much to do in Hastings to be honest because I’m more familiar with the major UK cities like London or Miles’s hometown of Manchester.” Katie responded with a shrug before she paused. “Did you ever wrestle Miles one on one? I know you faced him in Triple Threats for Alex Jones’ Roulette Title.”

”Not that I can remember, guy’s a fantastic athlete so I’m sure we’ll have a great match if that comes to pass.” I responded as I shook my head and Katie nodded. ”And hell there’s other new guys I’d tear the house down with too, Eddie, Rodrigo, Miles’s fiancé Carter, the list goes on, but again that depends on if my return to SCW is a full time thing.”

“And if nothing else, maybe you can finally get lengthy reigns with the Roulette and Internet Titles.” Katie pointing out that idea and I had to admit, it was tempting, especially after Jessie broke her curse last year.

Either way, this was going to be great.

I’m back!

”Be honest SCW, did you miss me?” I asked as I addressed the camera with my arms crossed. ”My return for the Blast from The Past was done more on a whim more than anything else, I have been wrestling back in New York, I just never ventured outside of my home state since I moved back there following Adrienne’s release from her contract.” I added as I shook my head. ”But what matters is that I’m here and I’m ready to kick ass in the Blast from the Past Tournament with Nakita Niles! First up on the chopping block? Bill Barnhart and Roux!”

Oh boy.

”I come back to SCW after three years and my first opponent is Bill Barnhart, honestly you can’t make this stuff up folks.” I commented as I folded my arms. ”Me and Old Fart Barnhart have been at each other’s throats several times, and he was my last opponent on Climax Control to boot and to be honest? Getting that win back against Billy will be a great way to mark my return and I plan on doing just that!”

As for Roux?

”As for his partner? What can I say about Roux? No, seriously, what can I say about Roux? She doesn’t have a bio up she doesn’t have a social media account as far as I can tell and Nakita’s probably gonna run right through her if that’s any indication.” I commented as I shook my head. ”I’m hoping I’m wrong about Roux because I don’t want my return to Sin City to be anti-climactic, if anything I want it to be like Bobbie’s current run and hopefully I’ll achieve just that!”

It's that simple.

”To be honest, I don’t know if my return to Sin City will be permanent or a one off but the fact that I’ve got Bill in my first match back is hitting me with a wave of nostalgia!” I added as I shook my head. ”Haven’t really decided if it’s the good kind of nostalgia or not, the kind you get when one of your favourite metal bands from the 80s returns with a killer new album or the bad kind when said album is a total disappointment, either way? I’m back and the Return of the Storm is on!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

”Nakita, I don’t know a lot about you but I look forward to kicking ass with you in the tournament! And this match will be a test for us both.” I commented as I folded my arms. ”You get someone who I can’t find any info on and I get my old foe Bill “Old Fart” Barnhart and trust me when I say that there’s a storm a brewing and that Bill and Roiux had better just let the Metal Storm descend upon them courtesy of Caleb Storms! See you then!”

I walked off as the scene fades.

Much to the shock of everyone who assumed that Caleb had the match won from the outset, Bill Barnhart would pick up the win over Caleb sending the two men into different directions heading into their first title match ay High Stakes X!! Bill was entering into his first defence with the momentum to carry him past the first defence against Agostino Romano (on paper) whilst Caleb was heading into his title defence against Brother David Shepherd at a distinct disadvantage, can Caleb retain the title?

What has gotten into me lately?!

I should’ve had the match against Bill in the bag, before that match he had only beaten me once and that was a while ago, since then I’ve picked up win after win, except that ended last week.

Now Bill is heading into the first title match of his reign against Agostino Romano with momentum on his side, whilst I’m heading into my first defence against Brother David Shepherd coming off two back to back losses.

To say that this isn’t a good sign for my title reign is putting it mildly.

Speaking of title reigns, me and Katie are watching Krystal’s sixth Bombshell Roulette Title defence in the Graveyard Elimination Match against Johanna Krieger, Bella Madison, Seleana Zdunich and Bea Barnhart with bated breath, because we thought that this was going to be the end of Krystal’s time as Bombshell Roulette Champion.

How wrong we were.

“And Krystal retains the title with the double elimination.” Katie commented as we watched Krystal dropkick both Johanna and Bella into the grave to retain the title. “And here you were thinking that this was going to be the end!”

”You thought that way as well Katie.” I responded as I shook my head and Katie glanced over at me. ”Besides, she was facing three of the toughest women in the Bombshell Division and Bea Barnhart, which begs the question, where does she go from here?”

“Good question, we know Krystal has Char at High Stakes XI and after everything Char’s done to her, the attack by Tempest will be the least of her problems.” Katie responded as she folded her arms. “There’s both members of Team Hero, Candy, the Metal Maniacs, there’s plenty of people who Krystal has never defended against.”

”And that’s assuming Johanna and Bella don’t try to get shots by saying that she never beat them the traditional way, even though that was impossible given the match stipulation.” I responded before thinking of something. ”Didn’t Krystal say that Ariana’s stitches were coming out next week?”

“Yeah, on her birthday to boot.” Katie nodded before she realized why I was asking this. “I don’t know if Gabriel and Odette have anything special planned, they normally do for a graduate’s birthday but between the attack and the stitches, it’s been hard to really plan anything! She’s turning twenty one as well so it’s also a big milestone birthday.”

”I still find it crazy how one of the best wrestlers in SCU started younger than both of us combined.”! I nodded in response as we waited for the Main Event to start. ”Bill’s entering his match with momentum, Krystal just got a major momentum boost with that title defence, where does that leave me?” I muttered to myself, and Katie looked over at me. ”My last win was when I won the Internet Title at Violent Conduct VII, that was a record breaking reign sure but since then I’ve been in a rut.”

“I can’t really answer that Caleb, you’re the professional wrestler and champion, I’m still a trainee at the Go Gym.” Katie shrugged her shoulders in response as o adjusted the positioning of the title that was over my shoulder. “When was the last time you faced Brother David?”

”During the lead up to Summer XXXTreme IX, when SCU hosted that special in Canada? The first show under the SCW Brand to take place outside of Vegas in over a year?” I reminded her, and Katie nodded as she cast her mind back to that day. ”The match ended indecisively thanks to Alex Jones’s interference; this is our first meeting since that match.”

“A chance for you to right that wrong then.” Katie nodded as the Main Event got started. “How about we watch the Main Event to take our minds off things? And yes, I know Alex Jones is in the Main Event.”

”He probably won’t be a thorn in my side unless I set my sights on the World Heavyweight Championship so yeah, let’s watch!” I nodded in agreement before we got ready to watch the Main Event.

It’s good to be hone!

Yeah, I know Syracuse isn’t part of Manhattan but it’s still a part of New York and I consider it to be part of my hometown in any case, that was why I was so excited for last year’s Homecoming Tour, no wrestling events from major companies ever come to Syracuse!

And then the pandemic happened, and the tour never really progressed beyond England, yay.

I’m cautiously optimistic that the bosses will want to restart the tour again, especially since there’s a wider variety of places to visit with people like Krystal Wolfe on the main roster, but considering it took until Summer XXXTreme IX for SCW to venture outside of Vegas again, it might be a while before that happens.

But hey, at least we finally made it too New York.

”Well, congratulations Jason, you are my hundredth autograph seeker I’ve encountered since I returned to New York.” I commented with a grin as I signed the guy’s autograph. ”Well, I say that, but I haven’t actually kept count.”

“Yeah, I bet you’ve gotten a lot.” Jason nodded as I handed back his autograph. “Good luck against Brother David Shepherd at High Stakes!” Jason added before he went on his way, autograph in hand.

”Thanks!” I called out to him, and he waved to me before he disappeared around the corner, I turned to Katie who was holding Lemmy’s lead. ”Any idea how many autographs I’ve signed since we took Lemmy here?”

“Yes.” Katie responded with a laugh, and I shook my head. “We’re native New Yorkers, I’m still surprised that our hotel room hasn’t been swarmed with reporters yet considering we’re almost into the second week!”

”Give it time.” I responded before I spotted a nearby bench and motioned to Katie that it was a good time to stop for a rest, Katie nodded when she saw the bench and we sat down with Lemmy laying down at our feet. ”I still don’t know the answer to my question.”

“Where does your string of losses leave you compared to Krystal and Bill?” Katie asked and I nodded in response. “Hard to say, Krystal suffered her first loss in months against Andrea but bounced right back with her last title defence, Bill’s been on a roll since you beat him and Malachi for the Internet Title at Violent Conduct VII so who can really say?”

”Only way to know for sure is to wait for my first defence.” I nodded as I stroked Lemmy with my foot and he rolled onto his back for a belly rub. ”Here’s hoping that it goes better than my first defence against Agostino did,” I added before seeing the look on Katie’s face. ”Both defences.”

“Yeah, kinda funny how he’s challenging Bill on the same night of your first defence, isn’t it?” Katie asked and I quickly nodded in agreement. “Let’s get going, we need to get back to the dog friendly hotel before it gets dark.”

”Good idea” I responded before we stood up and headed out of the park.

”It’s been way overdue that SCW come to my home city but welcome to New York! Okay, I’m from Syracuse but that place is still part of New York City so there! And it’ll be in my home city that I will defend the Internet Title against Brother David Shepherd in my first defence and if that’s not appropriate then I don’t know what is! But I made a promise after I was gifted the Internet Title by K2H last year, that I would hold it for a whole year!”

And I intend to keep it!

”Look, I know that people tend to break New Year’s Resolutions like Fortune Cookies,  but I intend to see this through! Even if it took me pointing out that I never said how many reigns I’d have by the time I got to this point because I have a promise to keep and unlike every other politician ever I intend to keep that promise! Especially against the likes of Brother David Shepherd.”

Nothing will stand in my way.

”I have been determined to see this promise through to the bitter end all year, whether it was y three title challenges to Alex Jones, or my three title matches against Agostino I let nothing stand in my way and I’m not about to let some holy man from SCU get in my way of that goal! Off course if you look at the Shepherds as a whole you realize that they are about as far from pious as you can get!”

Yeah I’m going there!

”Because let’s face it Dave, you’ve used some underhanded tactics against me before, remember that match we had during the lead up to Summer XXXTreme IX? The one with Fenris as the Special Guest Ref? I sure do, I picked up the win in that match despite everything you tried to throw at me! Sure, it was kinda tainted thanks to Alex Jones and my having the tights, but the history books show that o still picked up the win over you at Supernova IV and that is all that matters.”

Funny that!

”And as far as I’m concerned? History will repeat itself next Sunday when I continue my winning ways against you only this time? It’ll be for the gold and it’s like I said, I have a promise to keep going towards the New Year! And I’m sure as hell not about to let some holy man get in the way between me and fulfilling that promise! But then again, your actions aren’t all that holy David, some might call you a Leper Messiah!”

It’s that simple!

“Yeah, I did just call you a Metallica song, what are you going to do about it? I’ll tell you what, you’ll fail in your quest to take the SCW Internet Title from me! Day by day I am building my reputation as a legend in the making and to continue that trend I need to do two things, retain the Internet Title on my first defence in my home city and keep that momentum rolling into the New Year!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up!

”That’s what’s motivating me heading into this match, Brother David Shepherd you have god on your side, but I have the city of New York and it’s people on my side and as far as I’m concerned? They are more than enough to see me through because  you and your god had better brace yourself because there’s a storm brewing, otherwise you’ll both be blown away by “The Metal Storm” Caleb Storms, your Internet Champion!”

Caleb had made history at Violent Conduct VII, becoming the first wrestler to win the Internet Championship three times in his career after pinning Malachi! Caleb wasn’t in action when SCW returned to Disneyworld last week, but the bosses were quick to rectify that for the second show of the cycle, his opponent? Kris Ryans! Can Caleb win his first match as champion? And who will be the first man to step up and challenge Caleb?

Well, it was fun to spend the week at Walt Disneyworld at least!

Since I wasn’t on the card this week I spent the week either hanging out with fans or checking out the attractions though given that the show was taking place at the tail end of September it was easier to find rides/attractions that weren’t open than ones that were open.

And frankly, if I never hear “Let It Go” again I’ll be perfectly fine, even if it’s the Deathcore version by Betray the Martyrs! But now that the first show of the cycle has come and gone, I have my first match as Internet Champion to worry about and much like Krystal’s first match as Bombshell Roulette Champion it’s a non-title match.

Unlike Krystal though, my match was against someone I’ve faced before and in a repeat of my first Internet Title Reign only this time, my opponent isn’t a champion! That’s right, my Internet Title Reign is once again starting with a match against Kris Ryans! At least it’s non-title.

“With how crazy tonight’s show has been, I’m wondering how SCW’s inevitable third trip to Disneyworld will go.” Katie commented as she sat down on the bed, I was at my computer and Lemmy was laying at the side of the bed curled up ready to get some sleep. “Maybe then we’ll get a Falls Count Anywhere Match at Disneyworld like Krystal wanted.”

“At this point? I think she just wants an excuse to brawl with someone around one of the world’s most famous theme parks.” I shrugged in response getting a laugh out of Katie. “She just wants it to happen in a match, so she won’t have to worry about getting a lifetime ban from the park.”

“Maybe, maybe not, but I’m not about to deny that brawling all over Disneyworld sounds like fun.” Katie responded with a grin before Lemmy let out a big yawn. “So, what’s the plan for tomorrow? Gabriel gave me the day off because he knows that I’ll be traveling up from Florida.”

“I think the top priority should be getting you and Lemmy back to Vegas, day off or not, Lemmy will probably be glad to return home.” I responded and Katie nodded in agreement. “As for me, I’ll fly up to Atlanta Tuesday morning and get checked in to the hotel, it’s a four hour flight but the alternative is a twenty eight hour long drive.”

“Yeah, flying out is the best option.” Katie responded with a wince after processing the information. “That kind of long hour drive is reserved for truckers, and their trucks come with their own beds!”

“Yeah and I’m not about to sleep in the car, or worse, fall asleep at the wheel.” I nodded in response before stretching my arms. “Best case scenario, if you can call it that, is me being severely injured in the crash forcing me to forfeit the match against Ryans and the Internet Title and I’m sure the bosses will be thrilled to have yet another title be vacated so soon after the last one, worst case? Well, that involves you making funeral arrangements for me.”

“Frankly, I don’t know which idea I prefer, at least you’d still be alive in the best case scenario but if the injury is severe enough, it could end your career.” Katie responded as she shook her head and I nodded grimly. “And I’m not quite sure on how to break the news to the doggo if you do die.” Katie added as she leaned over and gave Lemmy a few strokes. “When we saw him at the rescue centre, it was love at first sight between you and him.”

“How about we change the subject before we get to depressed.” I suggested before putting my laptop in Sleep Mode and heading over to the bed. “It has been a while since we’ve been together.”

“Are you suggesting what I think you are?” Katie asked and once I nodded we started making out on the bed, it wasn’t long before I was on top of her and it looked like we were going to have sex, unfortunately Lemmy chose that exact moment to jump onto the bed with us ruining the mood as he sniffed us. “Lemmy, we love you, but you have the worst timing ever sometimes.” Katie grumbled as I rolled off of her and she sat up to pat Lemmy on the head, I got off the bed at it was at that moment that Lemmy’s tail started wagging like mad. “Or do you just want to go poo?”

“I think that’s the case, you took him out before the show started so I think it’s my turn.” I responded before grabbing the lead and doggie bags before clipping the lead to Lemmy’s collar. “Let’s hope the cleaning staff that do our room aren’t allergic to dog hairs.”

“Candy brought her Pomeranian! I think those who have are likely to have asked for the day off tomorrow.” Katie shrugged her shoulders before I left the hotel room with Lemmy, thankfully we were on the first floor, so it didn’t take me long to get him outside.

“I’ve been saying for months that I am a legend in the making, and people laughed! Well, who’s laughing now? I am the first three time Internet Champion here in SCW and I’m one of the few who can legitimately claim to have won the same title two times in the same year after I was given the Internet Title last year after J2H won it from Teddy Steele! However, in a repeat from last year’s High Stakes I find myself in a non-title match against Kris Ryans in my first match as a champion!”

Am I worried?

“But I’m not worried! I’m not the same wrestler I was when I faced Kris Ryans the first time around and what better way to prove that then to pick up the win in my first match as champion? Krystal Wolfe did the same after winning the Bombshell Roulette Championship at Into the Void X and that’s done wonders for her as a champion, as long as we ignore the circumstances behind that win, which means that if I can do the same thing in this match then I’ll be in good shape going into the rest of the year!”

And fulfilling that New Year’s Resolution!

“And least we forget that I have a New Year’s Resolution to fulfil in the coming weeks, last year I said that my New Year’s Resolution was to end 2021 the same way as I started, as a champion and three Internet Title Reigns later, I’m finally in a prime position to do just that, but for people to see that I can do it, I need to start picking up wins and that’s going to start with Kris Ryans this Sunday at Climax Control!”

How else could it start?

“I’m not saying that Kris Ryans isn’t a hell of a wrestler, his list of accomplishments speaks for themselves but for me, this has been a year of defying the odds! Cassian Reed? Beat him despite everyone saying that I wouldn’t beat him, winning the Internet Title for the second time after everyone said that I could never win this title on my own? Done that! Coming out on top in the Internet Title Tournament and becoming the first three time Internet Champion? History Made!”

It’s that simple!

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, in SCW I am a legend in the making and that legend started with me winning this title for the third time in my career and becoming the very first three time Internet Champion in SCW history! Kris Ryans is my very first opponent after winning the title again but honestly? I can’t see a scenario where I lose this match! After all it’s like I said, this has been a year of me defying the odds.”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“And I will continue to defy the odds as the year comes to a close! Sure, there’s still three months left in the year, but I believe in myself heading into this title reign and that will see me through this match against Kris Ryans because he had better brace himself because there’s a storm brewing, otherwise he’ll be blown away by “The Metal Storm” Caleb Storms your Internet Champion! Long may my reign as champion and legend in the making continue!”

I left to head back to the hotel as the scene fades.

Caleb was now in the finals of the Internet Title Tournament having defeated Miles Kasey but there was some controversy, Caleb was set to meet the winner of Bill Barnhart vs. Malachi in the finals at Violent Conduct VII, but a spanner was thrown into the works by way of a double countout draw that left the state of the final round in question! However, it wasn’t long after Caleb’s match against Miles Kasey that he would get his answer: the finals of the Internet Title Tournament were now a Triple Threat Match pitting Caleb against his fellow semi-finalists to determine the new Internet Champion! Can Caleb win?

Backstage at Climax Control 310, Seattle, Washington
Sunday the 29th of August 2021, 23:00pm

I had a feeling that was going to happen.

Not the draw in the Bill Barnhart vs. Malachi, I thought that there would at least be some resolution to that match-up and I’d only have one opponent come Violent Conduct VII but after I beat Miles with the Painkiller Blue Thunder Bomb there was the question of who exactly I would face or if I would just be declared the new champion automatically but at the back of my mind I had a feeling that Mark would make the men’s finals a Triple Threat.

As for next week’s state lottery numbers, which state? I live in Nevada, I’m from New York, I’m currently in Washington and in two weeks’ time I’ll be in Alaska for Violent Conduct VII, just saying I’ve got four different states to choose from here!

But at least now I know who I’m facing for the vacant Internet Title in two weeks’ time, and that wasn’t the only thing on my mind as I called Katie on my way out of the arena.

“So, one hand, you’re through to the finals.” Katie said as she made herself comfortable at the kitchen table and Lemmy poked his head up. “On the other hand, said finals is now a Triple Threat, this tournament has come full circle, hasn’t it?”

“I guess you could say that.” I responded with a shrug before I got into my car, I wasn’t about to start the engine whilst I was on the phone with my wife but, well, I needed to get comfy somehow! “By the way, did you catch Krystal’s interview with Rocky and her turn on commentary tonight?”

“Oh yeah, that.” Katie sighed as she shifted her weight. “If you’re wondering whose been pissing in Krystal’s coffee this week, ask Gabriel! She got called in for a disciplinary meeting regarding those tweets she made about Bella’s match against Tempest, before I knew it our favourite Aussie had stormed out of the office, middle finger in the air and went straight home!” Katie added before letting out a sigh. “Gabriel hasn’t exactly been forthcoming about what was said during that meeting, only that Krystal was barred from using the Go Gym’s facilities until the week before Violent Conduct VII and that Ari was keeping an eye on her.”

“Even though she’s got a title match at Violent Conduct VII?” I asked with a shocked look on my face and Katie nodded. “I did run into Krystal when I went for lunch at a local café, she mentioned about being chewed out for her Twitter comments but nothing about being barred from the Go Gym.”

“You remember how pissed off she was after Bea stole her title, right?” Katie asked and I nodded after thinking back to the previous cycle. “Krystal has a tendency to keep things bottled up inside, no idea if it’s related to her upbringing but I guess it just boiled over during that meeting.”

“Yeah, I guess, I haven’t seen her all night, but I was interviewed by Rocky before the Miles Kasey match, and she was not happy about Krystal ending their interview by flipping her off.” I responded before drumming my fingers on the steering wheel. “Knowing Krystal? She’ll probably cool off by week two, if not on her own it’d be with the help off Makayla or Ari.”

“Her girlfriend or someone who may as well be her little sister, Krystal has a hell of a support group.” Katie chuckled to herself before sighing. “In my opinion, the stress of being a champion is getting to Krystal big time, her hundredth day as Bombshell Roulette Champ is this Tuesday and that’s pretty daunting for a young wrestler like her.”

“Need I remind you that she’s only a year younger than me? None of my reigns were as long as her Roulette Title Reign but I still managed just fine.” I responded before sighing. “Then again, I don’t have Krystal’s shitty childhood.”

“Mental health is a serious thing Caleb, physically? Krystal’s a healthy young woman, hell I’d argue that she’s one of the hottest women on the roster, blue hair and all, mentally?” Katie pointed out before shaking her head. “You don’t live through a childhood like that and come out the other end without at least a few mental scars, and unfortunately they are rearing their ugly head right as people are starting to realise that she’s the real deal.”

“I’ll see if I can talk to her over the Supercard period, I know she’s close to Ari and knows Makayla in a biblical sense, but she can’t forget that I’m in her circle of friends as well.” I pointed out and Katie nodded in response. “I’m gonna go because at this rate? I might end up falling asleep in my car rather than sleeping in my bed at the hotel.”

“Well, if you do sleep in the car, make sure your parked up first, I don’t want to watch the news tomorrow and learn that you were in a fatal crash!” Katie pointed out and I quickly nodded in agreement. “We’ll chat again next Sunday?”

“Sounds good, see you then.” I responded before we hung up on each other and I drove off.

Why did I choose to go on this tour? Simple, it was cheap, and it was something to kill an hour with.

And after the quiet week I’ve had since Climax Control 310 I figured I needed the change of scenery, my promo won’t be done until later that day so yeah, this is one last thing I’m doing before I start my first promo for the Triple Threat Match.

Though I didn’t expect to run into a familiar face from SCW.

“We’ve got to stop running into each other Krystal.” I commented with a grin and the Aussie champ looked up from her phone before grinning and exchanging a fist bump with her, it was then that I noticed that Krystal wasn’t alone as Makayla and Ariana were with her. “Are you ready for the match against Bella?”

“About as ready as I can be considering I’ve been barred from the Go Gym.” Krystal grumbled before I sat down in an unoccupied seat next to the three women. “Ari’s been trying to plead my case to Gabriel and get him to let me use the Go Gym’s facilities during the week, but Gabriel stood his ground.”

“And I didn’t have much better luck pleading to Odette.” Ariana admitted as she shook her head. “But Krystal has learned something about herself that helped her understand herself more.”

“And no, I’m not discussing that in public.” Krystal quickly interjected as I want to ask Ariana for more info. “I’m still wrapping my head around it to be honest but if I do decide to go public with it, it’ll be at Violent Conduct VII.”

“Just don’t hold your breath waiting for that particular segment.” Makayla added before kissing her girlfriend on the cheek. “For now, we’ve agreed to keep that secret.”

“In that case I won’t pry.” I shrugged my shoulders as the trolly car started moving. “And I’m guessing the same applies to the argument with Gabriel?”

“Unless you want me to make the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella look like the Angry Video Game Nerd in his prime, yes.” Krystal grunted as the Bombshell Roulette Champion folded her arms. “All I will say is that weeks of bottled up frustration finally boiled over, and we’ve agreed to meet up back in Vegas next week so I can apologize.”

“I’m guessing he’s too busy running the Go Gym to make the trip out?” I asked and Krystal nodded in response.

“Well, that and he’s taking me to one of the best restaurants in Las Vegas, think it’s one of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants but I’m not sure which.” Krystal responded before sighing. “Which off course means that I’ll have to wear a dress, between him and Makayla I’m beginning to wonder if there’s some conspiracy to turn me from a tomboy to a girly-girl.”

“I’m saying nothing to that.” Makayla laughed before we continued to enjoy the sight-seeing tour.

And then, there were three.

“This tournament started with nine men all vying for the same goal, the men’s Internet Championship and originally, it was going to be that two men would meet in the finals to determine the new Internet Champion! However, what the higher ups didn’t count on was the Semi-Final Match between Malachi and Bill Barnhart ending in a double countout and after I won the match against Miles Kasey, that left one question on everyone’s minds, what would happen with the finals now?”

And we got our answer!
“The answer was that the original singles match between myself and the winner of Malachi vs. Bill Barnhart was now a Triple Threat Match between me, Malachi and Bill Barnhart to determine the new Internet Champion at Violent Conduct VII and anyone who knows the history of Violent Conduct knows that it’s the most extreme SCW PPV of the calendar year, in other words? I’m half expecting Bill Barnhart to break a light tube over my back during the course of this match!”

Don’t act surprised if that happens!

“But at the end of the night, it won’t matter how many people get set on fire or get put through barbed wire tables or get set on fire and then put through barbed wire tables because ultimately, me, Malachi and Bill Barnhart are fighting for the same thing, the Internet Championship that was vacated at the beginning of the cycle because SCW doesn’t want one guy hording all the titles for himself, which brings me to my point, who will be the new Internet Champion? This guy!”

And I’m starting with Bill.

“I’ll get to why I want the Internet Title so badly later but first I have an old fart to address! That’s right, it’s you “Old Fart” Bill Barnhart and honestly, how many times are we going to face off in our SCW careers? It feels like we’re going to be fighting when Bill’s in an old folk’s home with Bea and I’m in my early fifties enjoying a nice retirement from the wrestling business! The point is Bill that we have done this song and dance before and with the exception of one match the result has always been the same!”

Take a guess!

“That’s right, aside from the first match, each meeting between us has ended the same way, with me coming out on top and moving onto better opponents whilst you, well, there’s gotta be some great blackmail material you’ve got on the bosses because I can’t think of any other reason why you keep finding yourself in the title picture and the same goes for your wife but hey, at least she hasn’t been randomly inserted into a title match or number one contender’s match!”

But in the end?

“This match will end just the same way all our other matches ended Bill, with me emerging as the winner only this time? There’s a third man involved and a title on the line! As for whether you’d be here if the double countout hadn’t happened it’s hard to say really, but you know what isn’t hard to say? The fact that I’ve defeated you in an SCW ring time and time again and the result has been the same each time and the third man in this match won’t make a difference!”

Next up is Malachi!

“And speaking of the third man, Malachi! Now there were several past SCW competitors returning for a shot at the vacated SCW Internet Championships but off those men and women? Only Malachi made it to the finals! Now granted, his first opponent was The Troll and, well, my Golden Labrador could beat The Troll in a wrestling match so that’s bit so impressive, but you know what is impressive? Your accomplishments!”

Or lack thereof.

“After all, you are a former Mixed Tag Team Champion as part of Sass N Bash alongside your wife Bella Madison but neither you nor Bella have done much of note outside of the tag team ranks, have you? You returned for this tournament and it’s unknown if you’re going to be sticking around afterwards whilst Bella is Krystal Wolfe’s latest challenger for the Bombshell Roulette Championship! Now I can’t speak for the Aussie Champ obviously, but I think she’ll agree that we are on the same wavelength, which means we want to keep the titles out of Sass N Bash’s hands!”

Nothing personal.

“Sorry Malachi, it’s nothing personal, it’s just business, we’re all vying for the same thing in this match but there can only be one new men’s Internet Champion by the end of the night and honestly? I’ve got a promise to keep so Malachi if you do stick around, who knows? Maybe you’ll get a chance at the Roulette Championship once that is inevitably vacated because there’s no way I’m not walking out the new Internet Champion!”

It’s that simple.

“Do you guys remember last year when J2H gifted me the Internet Championship? Off course you do, people are still saying that I never would’ve won that title in the first place otherwise! I made a New Year’s Resolution that said that I would still be the Internet Champion by the end of 2021 but here’s the thing, I never said how many reigns I’d have under my belt, did I? It doesn’t matter if I’m a three time, four time, five time or hell, even ten time Internet Champion by December I will be one of the few men who history that can say that they actually fulfilled their New Year’s Resolution!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“This is the finals of the Internet Title Tournament and as they say in Mortal Kombat, final round, fight! Nine men entered this tournament but only one will leave the new Internet Champion and when I look at my competition in this Triple Threat Match, “Old Fart” Bill Barnhart and Malachi who’s only credit to his name are a couple of Mixed Tag Team Title Runs, I don’t see future Internet Champions, I see the men who I will beat to become the new Internet Champion because they had better brace themselves as there’s a storm brewing, otherwise they’ll be blown away by “The Metal Storm” Caleb Storms, your next Internet Champion!”

I went to start gaming as the scene fades.

Caleb’s third attempt at winning the Roulette Title from Alex Jones would not be the charm for the New Yorker as Alex retained the title in a Texas Deathmatch, did that mean that he was done with the title picture though? Far from it! Caleb was now in the Internet Title Tournament to crown a new Internet Champion at Violent Conduct VII in a few weeks’ time but to get past round one, he had a tough task ahead of him as he was facing former Roulette Champion Cassian Reed and the latest Hilton family member to arrive on the scene Brayden in a Triple Threat First Round Match! The last time Cassian and Caleb met ended with Caleb picking up the win and Cassian hadn’t been seen on SCW TV since then!

Brayden on the other hand, whilst a newcomer, was quickly gaining a reputation as someone who relied on his sister (former Bombshell Roulette Champion Brittany Williams) to win all his matches for him and was just coming off his first loss to Fenris the previous week! Can Caleb make it to round two?

You’d think they’d give up on giving me so many title opportunities by now.

Seriously, all three attempts at dethroning Alex Jones as the SCW Roulette Champion failed and I’m pretty sure I’m out of excuses at this point since my last title match was a one on one Texas Deathmatch that served as the Main Event on the second Climax Control off the Cycle and after having last week off, there was part of me that wondered just what was next for me and what would I be up too for the rest of the cycle.

I didn’t have to wait long for that answer, because my names among those competing in the opening round of the Internet Title Tournament next week.

“These puns are just like paper, they’re terrible.” I sung along to the video, A Song of Puns by Malinda Kathleen Grace, whilst I waited for Katie to return from the ladies’ bathroom, because whilst she has been spending the cycle back in Vegas, she did make the trip down to San Jose for this week’s Climax Control and brought Lemmy with her. “Oh, make them stop, they’re unbearable, let’s get down to business, to defeat the puns!”

“Caleb, the stage hand stopped me on the way back from the lady’s room.” Katie said not realizing that I was in my own world as she returned to my side and Lemmy was there to greet her as always. “Caleb?”

“But puns are the devil’s work, so I have nun!” It was a good thing that I couldn’t see my wife’s face at that point, because she was cringing pretty hard at the puns. “Okay I’ll stop now but before I go, why does this song, punish me so?” It was at that point that Katie practically yanked the earbud out of my ear.

“Well for starters, I’m surprised the rest of the roster hasn’t murdered you for singing that many puns in the space of a few minutes.” Katie said and I finally looked up to see half-amused, half-annoyed face of my lovely wife. “Second, Malinda Kathleen Grace, you are not! For one thing, she’s a trained opera singer with an hilarious YouTube Channel!”

“And the obvious bit about her being a woman and me being a man.” I pointed out and Katie gave me a look that said, “that didn’t need to be said and you know it”. “If that’s next week’s card then I’ve already seen my tournament match.”

“The Triple Threat against Brayden and Cassian?” Katie asked to confirm that we were indeed talking about the same match, and I nodded. “Frankly I’m surprised that we were able to reattach Brayden’s head after the match against Fenris, and if need be, I think I can deal with Brittany Williams if Tempest doesn’t show up to launch her into orbit!”

“Katie, Brittany challenges Tempest to a match, I don’t think it’s a matter of if she shows up for the Triple Threat.” I pointed out and Katie nodded once she realized that I was right. “As for Cassian, I don’t think he’s been seen since the build-up to my first title match against Alex Jones.”

“The one at Into the Void X, right?” Katie asked and I nodded to confirm that. “Pretty much everyone was expecting an easy win for Cassian, instead you pulled out the win.”

“And I doubt this match will be any different.” I added before glancing at the clock. “We’d better get going, I think the Main Event will be starting soon.” I added and Katie nodded before we walked off with Lemmy.

All I can really say is that SCW going back on the road after so long has prompted me to start seeking out new places for me to check out on my travels, and in this case, I’m visiting a place that Jessie, Jake and Shane recommended called the Brunch Box.

“This food is so good.” I commented after I wiped some stray bits of food from my mouth after I had devoured one of their burgers. “If SCW going on the road again means I can eat out at establishments like this, then I kinda wish the pandemic era ended earlier.”

“I’m glad I’m not the only one thinking that Caleb.” A familiar female Aussie Accent rang out and I glanced up and saw Krystal and Makayla sitting at a nearby table and it was Krystal that spoke up. “Though we have to stop meeting like this!” The Bombshell Roulette Champion joked, and I grinned before raising my glass to the lesbian couple.

“To be fair, this place was recommended by Jessie, Jake and Shane.” I responded and they shared a look. “Let me guess, same recommendation?”

“Yeah, but it was probably a coincidence.” Makayla shrugged her shoulders in response, and I nodded in agreement. “Are you ready for your second title opportunity of the cycle?”

“Ready for that and to bounce back from the loss to Alex in the best way I can.” I nodded in response before finishing my drink. “And I’m just glad that Bella made it past round one of the gauntlet last week.”

“You and me both, as if me showing up at the end of her match against Apple wasn’t evidence enough of that fact.” Krystal responded before shaking her head. “On paper, Azurine should be a bigger challenge, but she’s been inconsistent of late as well.”

“Bella will make it! We all saw how motivated she is to get that title shot.” Makayla commented and we nodded in agreement. “And hopefully we can say the same about you in the Internet Title Tournament Caleb.”

“Here’s hoping!” I grinned in response before I got ready to pay my bill.

Here we go again.

“Just when I thought I was out, the pull me back in and I'm back in the title picture! That’s what it feels like for me and the SCW Title Picture at least! I lost my last Roulette Title Match against Alex Jones two weeks ago and I think at this point, the guy wants some fresh competition which I why I am giving 100% of my effort to this Internet Title Tournament starting with this Triple Threat Match between me, Brayden Hilton and Cassian Reed!”

And just to clear things up.

“Look, I’m not saying that I wasn’t give 100% of my effort in either of the three Roulette Title Matches against Alex Jones, his efforts were just a bit better than mine in all three matches! Now that that’s out of the way, Cassian I have faced before and more importantly, I’ve beaten him before! Brayden on the other hand is a guy who I have never faced before, but I know him by reputation, which is to say that he’s an amazing athlete who still feels the need to have his sister interfere in his matches!”

Seriously, did he show up to the job interview with his mom?

“I’ll start with Cassian for the reasons I’ve already stated, the last time we faced off Cassian ended with me picking up the win over you in the build up to my first Roulette Title Match against Alex and since then, you’ve been awfully quiet, I don’t know what your motives for that were but clearly something brought you back and I’m willing to bet that it’s the Internet Title, well I’m sorry to disappoint you Cassian but for the second time in your career, you are getting beaten by me!”

And next up is Brayden!

“Do I really have to talk about the latest Hilton to come from out of nowhere to debut in SCW? How many Hiltons are there anyway?! Actually, don’t answer that, we’d be here all day! That said, I hope the next one is miles better than Brayden “I’m an amazing athlete but I still need my sister to interfere in my matches for me to win” Hilton because for all his talent, he’s quickly growing into someone who everyone loves to hate! He clearly has his eyes set on making the Internet Title his first title in SCW but much like he is to his mother, I’m going to be a source of disappointment for him when I win this match!”

It’s that simple.

“Cassian wants to get his hands on another title, Brayden wants to win his first title, what’s my motivation? Being a rare breed, someone who actually fulfils his New Year’s Resolution! At the tail end of the dumpster fire that was 2020 I said that I’d still be champion by the end of 2021, but I never said how many reigns I’d pick up along the way, did I? I’ve got my eyes set on fulfilling that goal and becoming a three time Internet Champion in the process and it’ll take more than a former Roulette Champion and a guy who needs his sister to fight his battles for him to stop me from achieving those goals!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“Everyone thought Cassian had my first match against him in the bag when we first faced off, everyone was proven wrong when I beat him! Brayden is an amazing talent but he’s also a total momma’s boy who relies on his sister to win matches for him, it would be funny if it weren’t so pathetic and this Sunday, they had better brace themselves because there’s a storm brewing, otherwise they’ll be blown away by “The Metal Storm” Caleb Storms on his way to championship gold!”

I went to start listening to metal as the scene fades.

Caleb’s second shot at the Roulette Title in a row was this week at Summer XXXTreme IX and he was entering the match with an air of uncertainty about him! So far, his only confirmed opponent was the reigning champion Alex Jones with his fellow challenger being decided in the opening match of the show between Shane Borderland and Agostino Romano, can Caleb finally win the Roulette Title again?

To be honest? I’m already missing my pooch!

But at the very least, me and Katie know that he’s in good hands as we are using the same kennels that we used for last year’s Summer XXXTreme, now granted I did consider trying to smuggle him aboard the ship under my shirt until Katie pointed out that he was a full grown Labrador and only the most overweight of men could hide him in their shirts! And suitcase smuggling was also shot down mutually because we realized that there was a chance Lemmy could suffocate inside the suitcase.

Point is, there was no way in hell I could’ve smuggled Lemmy aboard the ship even if I wanted too, but we do have an arrangement with the kennels where we have weekly video chats with Lemmy so, yeah, there’s that at least!

“So, now that Jessie’s doing a guest spot in the D&D game, you’re joining in?” Katie asked as I worked away at my character sheet. “Do you even know what your doing? Or what character you’re playing?”

“I watched Critical Role over the weekend, so I have a general idea.” I responded as I worked away at my character. “As for my character, I’m playing Ivar, the Stoner Circle of the Moon Druid!”

“Sadly, I’m not surprised.” Katie sighed before she stood up and walked over to me to get a glimpse of the sheet. “Shouldn’t you be more worried about your match against Alex and either Shane or Agostino?”

“I am, but I spent most of the previous week training for the Roulette Title Match and this is just as much a vacation as it is a Supercard.” I responded and Katie nodded once she realized that I was right. “Besides, it’s hard to prepare for a match where the other half of the opposition won’t be decided until the opening match of the card has been decided and whilst your idea of treating it as a Fatal Four Way worked for my promo, it doesn’t work for training because I’ll only have one other opponent.”

“True enough, at least you’ve faced Agostino before, and you do have a win to get back over him.” Katie nodded in agreement before thinking of something. “You did clear your character with Krystal, right?”

“Yep, and her reply was four crying with laughter emojis followed by “go for it”, I think she likes my idea.” I responded and Katie couldn’t help but laugh at that, only reinforced when I showed her the text in question. “The session’s starting at seven o’clock, but Krystal, Makayla, Jessie, Shane, Jake and Ari are meeting up for Cards Against Humanity in Krystal’s room, she invited me to join in and extended that to you.”

“You know what? It’s been too long since I played Cards against Humanity so I’m in.” Katie decided with a nod before she went back to the bed and sat on it. “She did tell you which room she has, right?”

“Yeah, she has one of the balcony suites, claimed it was a benefit of being the Bombshell Roulette Champion.” I responded with a nod before I started putting the finishing touches to the character sheet. “I’ll text Krystal to let her know once I’ve finished the character sheet, once I do that, she should send over the room number.”

“Sounds good, just remember to let me know when we’re about to go.” Katie said as she leaned back on the bed. “And maybe we’ll listen to some metal albums along the way.” Katie added and I grinned at that idea as I continued my progress.

The fact that Krystal’s suite is a lot nicer than mine makes me want to win the Roulette Title even more, but I’m getting ahead of myself.

As I said before, me and Katie showed up for the game of Cards against Humanity between me, Katie, Jake, Shane, Makayla, Krystal, Ari and Jessie and we were all sat on the floor for the game.

“Okay, I take it we’re all familiar with the rules of Cards against Humanity?” Krystal asked the assembled group and we all nodded in response. “Okay, this game was my idea, so I volunteer to be the first Czar, any objections?” Krystal asked and once the others nodded, we drew our ten white cards and Krystal picked up the first black cad. “And the Academy Award for blank goes to blank, it’s a pick two card so make sure you specify the order.”

Yeah, I think I’ve got this, I put my cards down first followed by the others and Krystal grabbed them. “And the Academy Award for “putting up with Christian’s weird signees” goes too “Mark Ward”, that is so true it hurts!” Krystal chuckled before putting it aside. “And the Academy Award for “Caleb Storms’ Hopes and Dreams” goes to “an M16 Assault Rifle”, anything you’re not telling us Caleb?” Krystal asked with a cheeky grin, and I shook my head.

“No comment.” I responded and Krystal set aside the cards without a second thought.

“And the Academy Award for “Gabriel Thomas Wank, SCW’s punching bag” goes too “Your Mom”.” Krystal nearly doubled over laughing at that one. “Wouldn’t that work better as “his mom”? I know I created that card for this custom set.”

“Possible that whoever played it didn’t draw the companion card, just saying, and I didn’t pick that one before you ask.” Makayla responded Krystal put the cards aside.

“And the Academy Award for………” Krystal trailed off as she read the card and her mouth hung agape. “One: have you guys ever heard of blowing your load too soon? And two: this is going to be a tough one to beat.” Krystal added and when no-one answered she sighed. “And the Academy Award for “Auschwitz” goes to “The Nazis”!”

It was at that point that the rest of the room nearly lost in laughter. “I don’t see anyone topping that one.” Jake admitted and Krystal managed to keep it together long enough to grab the next two cards.

“We’ll soon see.” Krystal responded before she got ready to read the next cards. “And the Academy Award for “Sexiest Roulette Champion” goes too “Krystal Wolfe”, appreciate the complement but bribery won’t win you any points in this game.”

“Can I at least admit that that was my combo?” Makayla asked with a shrug and Krystal turned to her. “I mean, who else would think to put those cards together?”

“Eh, good point.” Krystal shrugged before setting the cards aside. “And the Academy Award for “Jerking off into a Pool of Children’s tears” goes too “Barack Obama”, getting really political all of a sudden.”

“There was a joke about Nazis and NOW you think it’s political?” Katie pointed out and Krystal went to respond but couldn’t find the words.

“Eh, good point.” Krystal shrugged her shoulders before setting aside the cards. “Okay, last two, “And the Academy Award for “Best Ass in SCW” goes too “Miles Kasey” ……...” Krystal trailed off before shaking her head. “I don’t remember creating that one.”

“To be fair, I might have created it when we were updating the deck for the Summer XXXTreme trip.” Makayla pointed out and Krystal hesitated before nodding.

“Last but not least, “And the Academy Award for “Unlimited Bombshell Title Shots” goes too Jessie Salco.” Krystal finished reading the cards and Jessie raised an eyebrow at her. “Those cards were created before we became friends Jess.”

“Figured as much but thanks for clarifying.” Jessie responded before stretching her arms. “I know I’m not the czar but as far as I’m concerned? There’s a clear winner here!”

“If you’re thinking what I’m thinking then I agree.” Katie nodded before she picked out the winning combo. “Never thought I’d say this but the Nazis and Auschwitz win, who played those cards?” Krystal asked and I shot my hand up. “Playing for keeps huh.”

“You could say that.” I responded before I accepted the black card from Krystal, the game went on for a while longer before we reached the final round and it was Krystal’s turn a czar again, as for who had the most cards?”

“Okay, it’s a tight race between Caleb and Jessie to win the game but I’m pretty sure we’ll know the winner regardless of this round’s winner.” Krystal responded before picking up the final black card. “And it’s times like these that make me glad to be a woman, “How Am I Compensating for My Tiny Penis?”, just putting it out there that saying “nothing” or “not having one” would be a cop out and I’m not picking them or a similar card.”

“And yet “Biggest Blackest Dick” wasn’t a cop out for the “Girl’s Best Friend” round.” Ari grumbled under her breath before glancing over at Katie who had won the aforementioned round, despite her saltiness we all played the cards and Krystal went through them all before reaching me and Jessie’s cards, at least I was assuming that the last card beside mine was Jessie’s.

“How Am I Compensating for my Tiny Penis?” Krystal asked after making sure that no one outside the room heard her. “No Clothes On, Penis in Vagina, meh, I guess it works.” Krystal shrugged before putting the card aside and reading the last one. “How Am I Compensating for My Tiny Penis? Fenris?!” Krystal asked with a raised eyebrow. “I hope whoever played that realizes I could take that combo to Fenris.”

“Maybe he’ll take it in good humour?” I asked before pausing. “Is what I’d say if I was the one who played the card.”

“Smooth.” Krystal responded with a sarcastic laugh before picking the winner. “No Clothes On, Penis in Vagina wins because it’s the least likely to get me on Fenris’s bad side if word reaches him!”

“And that’s the win for me!” Jessie exclaimed as she took the card and I pouted as I folded my arms. “Hopefully, you have better luck in your Roulette Title Match Caleb.”

“What about me?” Krystal pouted with a laugh. “Don’t forget, I’m the DM tonight.”

“You too Krystal.” Jessie said quickly before we packed up to leave for the D&D game.

It’s been a quiet week.

“When this match was first announced, I felt like I was heading into the unknown with the third competitor in this match but you know what? I’m disappointed, I expected better from the two guys competing for the third spot in the men’s Ultimate X Over the Pool Match between Shane Borderland and Agostino Romano, I would’ve thought that at least one of them would have made their voices heard by now but no, they’ve been conspicuous in their absence and the only guys who have made their voices heard over the past week for this title match are myself and Alex Jones!”

“For that reason, I’m not even going to address Shane or Agostino beyond this opening monologue and instead I’m just going to focus all my attention on Alex Jones! I mean, the match is basically a one on one match between me and Jones until the opener takes place anyway so why wouldn’t I do that? This Sunday might be my second title shot against Alex Jones but it’s as I said, until Shane and Agostino make their voices heard, what else am I supposed to do?”

And now onto Alex.

“Saying that, knowing my luck Shane and Agostino’s promos will probably hit the air right after mine! But hey, what can I do about that? Wait until tomorrow or Friday when inspiration has hit me now? Nah! With that said, if there’s anyone who will hit me harder than inspiration did for this promo, it’ll probably be Wolfslair’s Alex Jones because since he won the Roulette Title in March, you’ve proven to be a worthy champion!”

But all good things must come to an end.

“However, Alex, unless you have your sights set on a Myra Rivers type reign with the Roulette Title, you can’t hold onto the Roulette Title forever and sooner or later, someone is going to beat you for that title and that someone is going to be me! And whilst you were right in saying that we’ve done this song and dance before, let’s look at the other men you’ve faced in Roulette Title Matches since you won that thing.”

I said before getting my phone out.

“First defence: “Bulldog” Bill Barnhart in a Boiler Room Brawl, right after I beat Bill to earn my spot in your second defence to boot, it’s time we faced facts and admit that Bill is not a top tier competitor! Maybe he was during his younger days, but “Old Fart” Bill Barnhart has been around so long that when God said, “Let There Be Light” Bill complained about it ruining his sleep! The next defence was against me and Miles Kasey at Into the Void X and whilst I was in that match, it was Miles who took the submission, and your student hasn’t had the best track record in SCW! And then, there’s The Troll.”

I commented before face-paling.

“Do I really need to say anything other than “The Troll”? My point is Alex is that you haven’t exactly had the best competition since you won the belt from Cassian Reed and yes, I realize that I just burned myself when I said that but aside from me, that statement is true! But it’s time for the new guard to take over from the old guard and I said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s been way to long since I’ve held the Roulette Title!”

And now for the elephant in the room.

“Let’s cast our minds back to last Saturday up north in Canada where I faced Brother David Shepherd in a Special Guest Referee Match where Fenris was the ref! Now I won that match because Brother David Shepherd rage quit but the bigger story in this match was the fact that you travelled down to Canada just to mess with me in that match! I mean, you could’ve saved yourself a lot of gas money by asking the SCU production staff to play your theme during my match whilst you chilled out in Las Vegas but no, you had to go the extra mile! Or miles in this case!”

Seriously, why?

“Where you trying to get in your only confirmed challenger’s head before Summer XXXTreme IX? Well, if you wanted my undivided attention then congratulations Alex, you’ve got it! Granted the fact that the guys in the qualifier match have been silent for the past week doesn’t help matters but my point still stands! I’ve been motivated to prove that I am a legend in the making for a while now and if you wanted to give me extra motivation to beat you for the Roulette Title than congratulations Alex, you’ve done it!”

Insert fake applause here.

“That being said, Alex, your attempt to screw with me ahead of our match may just be the one thing that does you in and ends your Roulette Title reign! Like I just said, you’ve given me extra motivation to win this thing beyond becoming a two time Roulette Champion at long last and by the time you’ve realized your mistake, it’ll be far too late to fix it as this Sunday I’ll be walking out of Summer XXXTreme IX the new Roulette Champion!”

It’s that simple.

“You know what? I’m not even thinking about Agostino or Shane right now, I’ll worry about them once we know for certain who the third man in the men’s Ultimate X Over the Pool Match is for certain but that just means that I can give you my undivided attention Alex and whilst YOU may think that means an easy title defence for you, the fact is that your grave mistake in motivating me even further by trying to mess with my match at Supernova means that I’ll be the new Roulette Champion once the dust settles!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“Shane, Agostino, good luck in your match on Sunday and I look forward to facing either of you in the Ultimate X Over the Pool Match later in the show! But as for you Alex? You may not realize it, but you fucked up by sticking your nose in where it didn’t belong, and I only wish that Fenris had kicked you so hard that you landed back in Las Vegas! But in the meantime, I have a Roulette Title to win because you and either Agostino or Shane had better brace yourself because there’s a storm brewing, otherwise you’ll both be blown away by “The Metal Storm” Caleb Storms!”

I went to start gaming as the scene fades.

Caleb had stamped his spot in his second Roulette Title Match in a row on PPV picking up the win over Lincoln Daniels after he hit the Metal Storm! However, he might not make it to Summer XXXTreme IX in one piece because this week on Climax Control, he has a one on one match against Fenris! And this time, Caleb challenged Fenris! No, we’re not kidding and to be honest, we’re not sure what’s going through the young metalhead’s mind but can Caleb win?

Another PPV, another Roulette Title Shot, and I’m planning to make this one count.

But before that, I have this match coming up on Climax Control 304, you probably heard me talking about it during my promo against Lincoln Daniels earlier this week, either way, now that I’ve fought my way into another Roulette Title Shot at Summer XXXTreme there’s only one thing left to do next Sunday at Climax Control 304.

Well, okay, there’s two things for me to do, one: beat Fenris and two: make it to Sunday night without angering Fenris.

I returned to the backstage area after my match against Lincoln where I found Katie waiting for me, and like the week before she wasn’t happy.

“The stage hand gave me next week’s card whilst you were wrestling Lincoln.” Katie stated as she messaged her forehead with her free hand. “Your rematch against Fenris has been booked for next week’s Climax Control, it’s the third match on the card and it’s being listed as a Special Challenge Match.”

“Can I see it?” I asked Katie and she nodded before handing me the card, aside from the match between me and Fenris the only match on the card that involved one of my friends was Krystal’s first Roulette Title defence against Maki which was the penultimate match on the card right before the non-title Main Event between Mark Cross and Goth. “Huh, Team Dragon and Wolfe occupying the top of the card.”

“Yeah, I noticed that too, wouldn’t be surprised if Krystal shows up to next week’s Climax Control in her Dragon and the Wolfe t-shirt.” Katie joked before I handed her the card back. “Gabriel’s offer to train at the Go Gym is still good and under the same rules as last week, just don’t be surprised if Fenris shows up to train.”

“At least with Fenris, I won’t be making fun of his nickname over and over like I did against Lincoln.” I responded before checking my iPhone for any messages that I might have gotten whilst I was out wrestling. “For one thing, I’m going to be actively avoiding angering Fenris!”

“I would say “thank God for that” but Fenris is notoriously short tempered.” Katie sighed as she ran a hand down her face before motioning to the cafeteria. “Come on, we may as well catch the rest of the show.”

“Agreed.” I nodded in agreement before I followed Katie back to the cafeteria.

Thursday the 24th of June 2021, 18:00pm

This week has been interesting to say the least.

Between Krystal training at the Go Gym for her Roulette Title Match and Mayhem Survival Qualifier on Underground and me training for the match against Fenris the Go Gym has been a hotbed of activity this week, and that was before Fenris turned up to train for our match!

It’s gotten to the point where I elected to give myself the day off today and just hang out at home with Lemmy, both so I could avoid injuring myself during training and so I could hang out with my Labrador for the day and no one at the Go Gym was blaming me for that idea.

I was in the back garden playing fetch with Lemmy when I accidentally threw his tennis ball over the fence and try as he might, Lemmy didn’t have the leaping ability to get over that fence, fortunately for us someone was on the other side.

“I take it this is Lemmy’s?” Katie’s voice rang out from the other side of the fence before she threw it back into the garden, Lemmy quickly grabbed the ball with his mouth and soon afterwards Katie came into the back garden with Krystal. “Either you threw it to hard or Lemmy accidentally knocked it over the fence with his nose.”

“I threw it too hard.” I admitted before Krystal closed the garden gate behind her and Lemmy ran up to the two women with his tail wagging. “How was training?”

“Long and hard, at least for me anyway.” Krystal admitted before the Bombshell Roulette Champion knelt and stroked Lemmy who would probably be licking her face if not for the ball in his mouth. “I was already training extra hard for the Roulette Title Match against Maki, but then SCU threw me and Ari into a tag team Mayhem Survival qualifier against the Masked Grime members Celeste and Orchid and threw my plans for the week out the window.”

“At least your track record against the Masked Members of GRIME is good.” I suggested with a shrug before motioning to the Roulette Title that was around Krystal’s waist. “I mean, you beat Royal Purple to win that title.”

“Technically I beat Royal Purple and Violet Amelia Holt to win the title, and Royal Purple won my first match against her.” Krystal corrected me as she stood up and Lemmy walked over to Katie for some affection. “Albeit by pinning Alice Knight after me and Mercedes Vargas took each other out but the point still stands.”

“As far as Maki goes, well we think you can beat her.” Katie chimed in as she stroked Lemmy. “But Celeste and Orchid are two people we’re not sure about because they are complete anomalies, at least after Royal Purple unmasked herself as Faith Simpson, we understood why she had so much success in such a short time.”

“If you mean her Roulette Title reign then you mean beating Johanna Krieger by throwing Kool Aid at her face and Sam Marlowe because she fell off the side of the cage half a second after Sam did.” Krystal commented as she folded her arms. “If I can help it, then my DQ win over Bella Madison two weeks ago will be the only blemish on my record as Bombshell Roulette Champion and hopefully once I get past Maki and Bea Barnhart at Summer XXXTreme, I’ll get that rematch against her for the Roulette Title.”

“You can only hope.” Katie nodded in agreement before Lemmy walked back up to me and dropped the tennis ball at my feet. “Try not to throw it over the fence again Caleb, that thing nearly landed on Krystal’s head.”

“I’ll try.” I nodded before I picked up the tennis ball and threw it, this time managing to keep it within the confines of my back garden as Lemmy gave chase after it.

Well, here we go,

“I know we’re halfway through the year and all, but I think I managed to get myself a lock for, at the very least, a nomination in the “WTF/Holy Shit Moment” Award in the Year End Awards for actually going ahead and challenging Fenris to this rematch! But as I said on Twitter after the card went live on the SCW Website, this match is about overcoming my fears and solidifying my status as a legend in the making and I can’t do that if I’m going to cry out in terror every time Fenris’s name is mentioned around me!”

Nope, I can’t!

“You all know the history between me and Fenris at this point but I’ll recap it anyway, I faced him and Courtney Pierce in the second round of the 2018 Blast from the Past Tournament and lost, months later, after he kicked off Kyle Kavanaugh’s head to win a match I started to worry about facing him in a match and low and behold, I got booked against him in what was likely intended to be a one off match for a warm-up for a future match that I can’t really remember, the point is, that match started the tradition of me being scared shitless off Fenris!”

I said as I shook my head.

“Because how dare I worry about facing a guy who can kick through walls and has a temper that’s almost as short as my dog’s attention span, am I right? Somehow that led to me being added to a World Heavyweight Title Match, thus making history by being the first guy to be against being added to a World Heavyweight Title Match but I digress! And after that, I was tricked into facing Fenris in a Lion’s Den Match! Need I remind you that Fenris is a former MMA Fighter and I’m not, so I was already entering that match with a distinct disadvantage!

Seriously Christian, why?!

“That match was meant to be the last one between me and Fenris aside from me getting into the Six Man Elimination Match for the World Heavyweight Title at December to Dismember II, and my main issue going into those two matches was that I had found a way to piss off Fenris beforehand! What’s that? You want details about how I managed to get on the bad side of a short tempered former MMA Fighter? Sure!”

How I survived the first time is a mystery!

“The first time was when he lost the World Heavyweight Title to Austin James Mercer whilst I was competing in that year’s Blast from the Past Tournament and I stupidly tweeted the words “THANK GOD” after he lost the title, now to be clear, I was still in the tournament like I said and I had just as much chance as anyone else in that tournament at winning the whole thing and I wasn’t celebrating the fact that Fenris lost, I was celebrating the fact that I wouldn’t face Fenris if I won the thing! And I just sounded like a politician trying to BS his way out of a major scandal, haven’t I?”

Albeit two years after the fact!

“And if that wasn’t bad enough, I went and pissed him off again when I qualified for the Six Man Elimination Match at December 2 Dismember just a few months later! This time by saying on camera, at Climax Control, that I was hoping that Fenris would get eliminated before me! And that sound heard across the world was every single SCW fan/wrestler alike face-palming hard at my stupidity and to be honest? The most I can say about that incident was that I was hoping that it would improve my chances at winning that match, not that it made much of a difference in the long run!”

As evidenced by the lack of “SCW World Heavyweight Champion” among my achievements.

“That brings us to this match and knowing my luck, I’ve probably pissed off Fenris just by bringing up the two times that I had pissed off Fenris previously! But on the off chance that I managed to avoid shooting myself in the foot before the match even started for the third time in a row, Fenris, this match is about me conquering my fears and right now, if I’m going to solidify my status as a legend in the making, then I’m going to have to do the unthinkable, I have to beat Fenris in a wrestling match!”

I can already hear Mark and Christian laughing their asses off.

“And before you go quoting Bender from Futurama by saying “HAHAHAHAHA, oh wait, you serious? Let me laugh even harder! BWAHAHAHAHA” let it be known that I have been training at the Go Gym for this match and I know that if I try to wrestle Fenris at his pace and in his style, I may as well just lay down on the matt and let him pin me for the easiest win of his wrestling career! But by wrestling my style of wrestling against him and keeping him off his feet, my chances of winning this match go up astronomically!”

It’s that simple!

“You had the advantage against me in the Lion’s Den Match Fenris and that was before we even entered the ring! But in this normal wrestling match with normal wrestling rules in a normal wrestling ring, I have the advantage if I don’t try to beat you at your own game, namely strikes and submissions! But by taking to the skies and keeping you off your feet, I stand a much better chance at winning this match! Either that or I send myself flying into a roundhouse kick and the security staff spends the rest of the night searching for my head in the cheap seats!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up,

“And I’m quite sure that Mark and Christian are dying from laughter as I finish off this promo! Fenris, we’ve faced off six times if Mercedes Vargas is to be believed, honestly? I only remember the four times that I’ve brought up but that’s either me misremembering or my memory being affected by your kicks! But this time will be different, because not only is this match about facing my fears and conquering them, but it’s also about finally picking up the win over you because you had better brace yourself because there’s a storm brewing, otherwise you’ll be blown away by “The Metal Storm” Caleb Storms!”

I went to play with Lemmy in the back garden as the scene fades.

Caleb’s attempt at winning the title at Into the Void X didn’t pan out as Miles Kasey was submitted by Alex Jones to retain the title in a submission match, however with Climax Control 301 just one week away Caleb had an opportunity to bounce back from the loss in a big way as he was facing the legend that was Goth! Goth returned to host Climax Control 300 just a few weeks ago and announced that he was returning to the ring kicking things off with an open challenge which was answered by Caleb and Mac Bane, however the new Internet Champion was facing his first defence against Miles this week which left Caleb to be Goth’s first opponent, can Caleb win?

I knew I was fighting an uphill battle heading into this match.

And that was before the wheel landed on Submission Match! As a High Flyer I was already at a disadvantage heading into the Triple Threat Match against Miles and Alex but throw in the Submission Stipulation and it was like I was pushing a giant boulder up the hill.

At least I didn’t get submitted, that distinct honour went to Miles.

“It’s often been said that the Roulette Wheel is a cruel mistress.” Katie commented as she did her hair in front of a mirror and I watched from nearby. “But it seemed especially cruel to you tonight.”

“Yeah well, I tried to stay positive since Royal Purple won her division’s Roulette Title in a Submission Match against a Wolfslair member.” I admitted with a shrug as Katie tied her hair into a ponytail. “Though I didn’t throw any Kool-Aid into Alex’s or Miles’s eyes.”

“Not sure if that would’ve helped your chances or not.” Katie shrugged her shoulders as she turned to me. “But at least Royal Purple’s reign is over, and Krystal can start hers.”

“As much as I like Krystal, she’ll still have to overcome the first obstacle of every new champion.” I pointed out with a frown not realizing that my favourite Aussie Gamer/Wrestler was walking up to us. “Just look at how many wrestlers have tripped up at that hurdle, me included!”

“Trust me Caleb, I’ve noticed.” Krystal commented and we turned to her spotting her newly won title around her waist. “Commiserations on the match by the way, you got dealt a rough hand there.”

“Don’t I know it, part of me wishes the stips had been switched around.” I admitted and Krystal nodded in agreement. “I would’ve taken “Removing the Title from a Briefcase” over a Submission Match any day of the week.”

“Yeah, and I think I still would’ve won the title.” Krystal nodded in agreement as she patted the title around her waist. “For one thing, I would’ve had the Long Rest to fall back on when the time came to end the match.”

“And that is a pain to get out of, especially if you do the Body Scissors variety.” Katie nodded with a grin as she turned to the Aussie. “Speaking from personal experience at the Go Gym off course.”

“Off course.” Krystal nodded before folding her arms. “You guys are coming to the after party, right? I’ll be buying everyone a drink at least once, I’m sure my wallet will recover after years of therapy.”

“Take it from a former champion, the pay days will more than make up for that.” I assured her and Krystal grinned in response. “As for your offer, we accept but Katie volunteered to be the designated driver.”

“Only in the event of you winning the title.” Katie countered before shaking her head. “Seriously though, congrats on winning the title Krystal, and good luck in your first defence whenever that is.”

“Cheers Katie, and hopefully my title reign will be longer than Violet’s from last year’s Into the Void.” Krystal nodded in agreement before she walked off.

These post Supercard weeks always seem to fly by!

Even so, me and Katie are guest staring on Krystal’s stream tonight taking it in turns to play Mass Effect Legendary Edition through her PS5 as for hundreds of viewers watched on, it was Katie’s turn and I was using the time to check for any news about this week’s card.

“Choosing to have Kal’Reager fire on the Geth Armature as you charge at it?” Krystal commented with a raised eyebrow as Katie played through Tali’s recruitment mission in Mass Effect 2. “Heavy risk, but the prize.”

“Did I make a wrong choice?” Katie asked as she glanced over at Krystal who shook her head.

“Yes and no, if you don’t kill the boss in a fast enough time, Kal’Reager will die as well.” Krystal explained as Katie chose to bullrush the enemy. “Which will cost you a War Asset come Mass Effect 3.”

“Got it, well I’m not going to reload that section so I’m instead charging in and hoping for the best.” Katie responded with a nod before she did just that, thankfully Katie was able to kill the thing in time. “Okay, guess your doing Miranda’s loyalty mission Caleb.”

“You had to leave my least favourite character to me, didn’t you?” I protested before I saw the tweet I was looking for. “SCW’s posted this week’s card.”

“Queen for a Day, right?” Krystal asked and I nodded. “Oh great, has Alicia put me in a title defence against Johanna Krieger?”

“No actually, Johanna’s the only member of Wolfslair not booked.” I responded as I read through the card. “In fact, you’re not booked at all but there is a Bombshell Roulette Division Match between Maki, Candy and Char Kwan, no shot at your title is at stake though.”

“I’ll see if I can join commentary for it anyway, winner of that match could have title implications down the road.” Krystal commented with a shrug as Katie returned to the Normandy SR-2. “And I bet Andrea will have something to say about that.”

“Does a bear shit in the woods?” Katie chimed in and we, alongside the viewers, had a good chuckle at that. “Didn’t you accept Goth’s challenge Caleb?”

“Yeah, but so did Mac, the bosses might put him against Goth instead.” I responded before checking the rest of the card. “And nope, I’m Goth’s first opponent in four years.”

“Let me guess, Mac has his first defence?” Krystal asked and I nodded before showing her the card. “Against Miles Kasey, what a shock.”

“I’m not sure if that was Alicia’s idea actually, seems she only got to book three matches.” I commented with a shrug as I read the card. “Seems to defeat the purpose of the Queen/King for a Day Matches but that’s just me.”

“Which matches had Alicia’s input?” Krystal asked and I showed her the card. “Barnharts vs Austin/Tempest for the Mixed Tag Titles, Mac vs Miles for the Internet Championship and Alicia herself vs Amber for the World Bombshell Title, what a shock.”

“Guess I was wrong about Mac’s match, but this seems to be even more transparent than the stunt Christina Rose pulled last year.” I commented with a nod before Katie travelled to Illium for the first time. “So, my time to shine.”

“You’ve got it.” Krystal nodded before Katie passed me the controller and I went through the first cutscene.

This is going to be an interesting show.

“Several weeks ago, Goth returned to SCW to host Climax Control 300 and in the process, announced that he was returning to the ring! And when I saw that he was putting out an open challenge for his first match back at Climax Control 301 I felt that I had to jump at the opportunity pending the result of the Roulette Title Match at Into the Void X, well, the fact that this isn’t a title/non-title match should clue you into the fact that I didn’t win the title at Into the Void X!”

But there is a silver lining!

“But in the process, I achieved something that not many people did in the last Supercard Cycle, I ended it with more wins than losses including over one former Roulette Champion and the current Mixed Tag Champion! Now Goth, you are a former Roulette Champion yourself and you know what it’s like to hold that belt but here’s the thing Goth, if you had never retired then you would’ve been wrestling for over twenty years, in other words, your older than me and that means your slower than me!”

Good luck keeping up.

“That might mean that you have more experience than me, but I predict that you’ll have a hard time keeping up with me in the ring and if that means taking one step closer to the bosses taking me seriously as a competitor, then all the better I say! There’s no doubt that you are a legend Goth, I’ve watched your tapes from the GWA. AWA and off course, the SCW days but legends have to hang up the boots at some point and for all you know, you’re facing off against a legend in the making!”

I can already hear people laughing at that.

“You laugh at me and I’ll show you footage of J2H’s early days in SCW! People laughed at him back then you know! Besides despite my less then stellar win/loss record I do have a impressive list of accolades! One time Roulette Champion, two time Internet Champion and One Time Mixed Tag Team Champion isn’t something to be sneezed at so you’d be a fool to underestimate me! Ignoring how my first Internet Title Reign started because we’re just beating a dead horse at this point!”

This will be good.

“But in all seriousness, Goth as a wrestler is someone I respect, a guy who has done it all in so many companies over the years deserves my respect but once that bell rings all that respect will go out the window and I will completely focus on my goals in this match, namely winning this match and bouncing back from my loss in the Roulette Title Match at Into the Void X just a couple of weeks ago and I can’t think of a better way to do that than to beat a legend in his return match!”

It’s that simple.

“For too long people have regarded me as a joke and this year is dedicated to proving those people wrong! It started with me winning the Internet Title and whilst I don’t know where this year will take me, well this mending period will continue when I beat the legendary Goth in his return match here in SCW and Goth, it won’t be long until you regret issuing that open challenge for this week’s show either!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“No one in this house is denying that Goth is a legend, but I am a legend in the making and this Sunday I will solidify that status when I beat Goth in his return match in SCW! This year has already gone pretty well for me in the ring but beating a legend like Goth in his first match in four years will see my stock in SCW go through the roof and Goth, I respect you as a wrestler, but you had better brace yourself because there is a storm brewing, otherwise you’ll be blown away by “The Metal Storm” Caleb Storms, a legend in the making!”

I went to take Lemmy for a walk as the scene fades.

Caleb may have lost the Internet Championship back to Agostino Romano at Blaze of Glory IX but it didn’t take long for him to be thrust back into the title picture as he went on to qualify for a Roulette Title Shot at Alex Jones alongside Miles Kasey, on paper, Alex looked to be the odds on favourite to win but anything could happen in wrestling and with two young and hungry wrestlers eyeing his gold, this might be Alex’s first and last defence, real question is, can Caleb get back in the champion’s circle!

Monday the 10th of May 2021, 18:00pm

From one Supercard to another, from one title match to another.

Though to be fair, I at least earned my way into the Roulette Title Match this time around, as opposed to being handed the Internet Title by J2H and subsequently challenging the guy who ended my first reign just to prove that I could win it legitimately and you know what? I did just that! I won the title legitimately and whilst my second reign was exactly the same length my first reign, I had no regrets coming out of that title match.

If anything, I dodged a bullet by not retaining against Agostino, I don’t fear Mac like I used to fear Fenris, but he still would’ve been a tough challenger and that’s IF I got past O’Malley first!

Instead of those guys though, I have a Triple Threat Match between myself, Miles Kasey and the defending champion Alex Jones in the second Roulette Rules match of the night and since Krystal’s in the first Roulette Title Match, I’m pretty much routing for her to win the gold from Royal Purple on principle, both because she’s been helping Katie with her training and that I follow her Twitch Channel and subscribe to her YouTube page.

Don’t act surprised, I’m hardly the first one!

Speaking of my favourite Australian Go Gym Graduate that’s part of the reason I’m here at the Go Gym, see me and Katie made plans for me to pick her up from the Go Gym today whilst we were at Climax Control 300 last night and she mentioned that Krystal was scheduled to help train her and the other female trainees that night, the boys weren’t so lucky as they were dealing with an angry Fenris.

Yep, wouldn’t want to be them tonight!

As I sat in the car jamming to “Abyss” by Unleash the Archers I started to see the students pouring out of the Go Gym, as I predicted, the guys (especially Josh) were walking with noticeable limps whilst the ladies seemed in high spirits, after a few minutes Katie came up to the car alongside Caitlin and Adrienne.

“Hey Caleb.” Katie greeted me with a kiss before motioning to the other two trainees. “You don’t mind if Adrienne and Caitlin hitch a ride, right? Their cars are in the shop and they had to walk to the gym this morning.”

“I’m not complaining because it was good exercise.” Caitlin chimed in and I glanced over at her. “But our feet are sore as hell from the training session.”

“Oui, and we don’t live that far anyway.” Adrienne added as the French Go Gym leaned over. “We’ll make it worth your while!”

“You realize that it just sounded like you ladies were offering me a foursome, right?” I pointed out and they female students laughed. “Not that I’d complain off course.”

“Sorry Caleb but I’ve got a boyfriend and Adrienne’s a lesbian.” Caitlin apologized once she regained her composure and I nodded as a got the idea. “We meant cooking dinner for you and Katie.”

“And even if I was into foursomes, doing something like that with fellow Go Gym Students would just be weird, in my opinion.” Katie chimed in and that was all the convincing I needed to let the three ladies into my car, Katie in the passenger seat and Adrienne and Caitlin in the back, and once they were buckled up, I started to drive off. “Before you ask, they’ll be cooking for us tomorrow night.” Katie added as I turned down the music.

“I figured as much.” I nodded as I drove down the street. “So, how was training with Krystal today? I heard she left Climax Control 300 early.”

“She didn’t show up.” Katie responded and I gave her a surprised look. “Gabriel and Odette didn’t give an exact reason but apparently she’s dealing with family stuff at the moment.”

“Which was news to us because we thought that the rest of Krystal’s family was back in Australia.” Caitlin added with a shrug and Adrienne nodded in agreement. “But Gabriel didn’t elaborate beyond that and Charlotte from London Underground ended up filling in for her, not nearly as nice as Krystal but still fun to spar with.”

“We did consider asking Krystal about it when she next came in, but we decided against it.” Adrienne chimed in and the other female trainees nodded. “Whilst it was out of character for Krystal to miss a session, if it was for personal reasons then they should stay personal, right?”

“Exactly!” I nodded in agreement as I drove along. “Oh yeah, almost forgot, you ladies will point out your homes to me, right?” I asked as I adjusted the rear-view mirror to make eye contact with Caitlin and Adrienne and they nodded. “Back on the topic of Krystal, you’d think she wouldn’t miss a training day, her first title match as a member of the SCW roster is coming up soon.”

“Maybe but Krystal has said before that she has a home gym set up, ring included, even if she misses a day at the Go Gym, she won’t have much to worry about in regards too getting workouts in.” Caitlin responded and I nodded as I got the idea. “Speaking of title matches, how are you feeling heading into the match against Alex Jones and Miles Kasey?”

“A bit nervous, not gonna lie.” I admitted before adjusting the rear-view again so that it showed the road. “I already knew Alex from my time in Honour Wrestling, but I will admit, Miles is a wildcard because I’ve never wrestled him before.”

“I think Miles is just glad that he doesn’t have to put up with The Troll again.” Katie laughed in response before shaking her head. “Seriously, one day that guy’s going to get himself killed live on Climax Control because he pissed off the wrong wrestler, I’m surprised his mom didn’t tell him to tone it down after the Tempest incident!”

“Same here, especially since she’s a total sweetheart!” I nodded in agreement before pausing. “To paraphrase Christian Underwood, loud but a total sweetheart.”

“I’m just surprised that he didn’t bring her in as his manager, but then he would have to filter everything through her, and it wouldn’t be as fun.” Caitlin shrugged before she spotted a house. “This is my place, just pull up to the curb.”

“You got it.” I nodded before parking the car, Caitlin let herself out and after saying her goodbyes to us and closing the door behind her we drove off. “So, Caitlin said that you were a lesbian?” I asked as I glanced over at Adrienne who laughed.

“I realize that it’s a bit of a cliché in wrestling but it’s true, I’m hoping to be yet another female wrestler who happens to be gay.” Adrienne shrugged her shoulders in response as we drove on. “Though to be clear, I didn’t realize that I was gay until after I joined the Go Gym, still haven’t come out to my family.”

“Are you worried about their reaction?” I asked and Adrienne shook her head.

“No, my older brother is gay as well and they still welcome him at family get togethers, I just don’t see them that often because they are over in France and I’m here in Vegas.” Adrienne added before chuckling. “And my parents are so computer illiterate that they haven’t masted the art of Facebook yet, I likely won’t come out to them until the pandemic is over, but I have told my brother.”

“How did he react?” Katie asked and Adrienne laughed.

“By promising to take me to the best gay clubs in Paris once the pandemic is over and I can go visit them.” Adrienne laughed before leaning back in the car seat. “Don’t get me wrong, you’re a good looking guy Caleb but I’ve just never had any sexual interest in men, so no, you really didn’t have a chance at a foursome with me, Katie and Caitlin.”

“Didn’t hurt to ask, right?” I asked with a good natured grin and the two ladies laughed, a few more minutes passed before Adrienne motioned for us to stop. “Is this your place?”

“Yeah, and I had better go see my cat because I can see that she wants to be let it from here.” Adrienne commented and I glanced up before seeing a black cat sitting by the door. “Don’t worry about him bringing bad luck, that’s just superstitious nonsense.”

“I’ll take your word for it, have a good night.” I told her before Adrienne let herself out of the car and said her goodbyes before walking off. “Looks like it’ll be a crazy week at the Go Gym, right?”

“I know right? And the week just started!” Katie scoffed in response before I turned up the music again. “Makes me wonder how crazy week two will be.”

“We’ll cross that bridge when we come too it, I haven’t even done my first promo yet.” I admitted as I drove along, and Katie gave me a curious look. “Which will be the first thing on the agenda after we eat dinner.”

“Sounds good to me.” Katie nodded before I continued to drive towards our home.

Monday the 10th of May 2021, 21:00pm

We ended up coming home late due to traffic and just ordered takeout when we did get back, now that we’ve had our full of Domino’s Pizza I decided to get started on my promo.

“Let’s face it, when the year started, I was pretty much a walking joke! A guy who had only “won” the Internet Championship because J2H handed it to me at the tail end of 2020 but when Austin James Mercer attacked me to kick off the feud with Fenris, I don’t know, something just snapped inside me and after I retired the whole song parody idea with that last one against Austin, I just started to take this sport a lot more seriously than I had before, and what have I done since then? Won the Internet Title legitimate, beat a guy who many claimed to be the future of SCW clean as a whistle and oh yeah, secured my spot in this title match against Alex Jones and Miles Kasey and now that I'm back in the spotlight, I'm not about to give it up!!”

What a difference a couple of months make.

“As far as I see it, I can only see this momentum of mine swinging upwards from here! And it’ll start at Into the Void X where I’ll win the Roulette Title for the second time in my career! Now don’t get me wrong, Miles and especially Alex are tough competition, Alex won the title from a game Cassian Reed and Miles has been impressive since he signed with the company but here’s the thing guys, I’m entering this match with a lot to prove.”

What do I mean by that? Well…….

“Even with this string of good performances in the ring, I feel like I still have a long way to go before people stop recognising me as “the guy who was scared shitless of Fenris” and instead recognise me as “the guy who is a two time Internet Champion, one time Mixed Tag Team Champion and, hopefully, two time Roulette Champion” because regardless of how short those reigns were or how they started, those aren’t stats that you can ignore! I’ve held titles in this company! I’ve proven that I can win titles, but everyone thinks of me as “ha-ha, let’s shout hi Fenris behind Calen’s back and watch him have a heart attack!”, yeah, real funny making fun of the guy who was one of Fenris’s first opponents in SCW!”

But I digress, it’s time I talked directly to my opponents, started with Alex!

“I guess it’s become something of a tradition in multi-man/person title matches to start with the defending champion, right? Unless off course, you’re the defending champion yourself but either way, I’m kicking things off by talking about Alex Jones! I will admit Alex, you are a fantastic wrestler, and you earned that Roulette Title when you beat Cassian! I would say the same thing about “Old Fart” Bill Barnhart but let’s face it, that guys so far passed it that his dog could probably beat him in a wrestling match, yet he still gets title matches/opportunities, against you, against Ignorant Discard and oh yeah! Against me!”

Here we go.

“Alex, we both know the story by now, you beat Cassian to win the gold and then defended it against Bill Barnhart but wait! What’s that? I hear alarm bells ringing because I picked up wins against those same two guys as well! Albeit in the reverse order because I beat Bill to earn my spot in this match and then beat Cassian in a tune up match, but my point still stands, will share common opponents on our roads to glory but you want to know what the difference is in my road to glory?”

It’s a big one!

“You started yours by winning the Roulette Title and I’m ending my road by winning it from you! This is my first step towards being taken seriously an in SCW ring by my opponents and eventually the higher ups and whilst I did hear that you actually had some kind things to say about me in your promo Alex, I haven’t watched it yet because I had stuff to do around the house, the old saying rings true, nice guys finish last and at Into the Void X I will finish first and take the gold!”

And now onto Miles!

“But I would be remiss if I didn’t talk about the third guy in this match, after all, Miles qualified for this Roulette Title Match the week before I did after beating Lincoln Daniels, but this isn’t your first meeting with Alex, isn’t it Miles? You took him on at Climax Control 294 which Alex won via pin-fall, so this is your chance to get that win back, right? Guess again, because I’m the third man in this match and I’m not walking out without the title!”

Speaking off.

“Whilst we’re on the subject, you haven’t had the best of luck in the Roulette Division Miles, the last time you were in a Roulette Title Match was all the way back at Violet Conduct VI where you challenged O’Malley for the title and how did that turn out for you? Oh yeah, you ended up on the losing end of the Christian’s Choice stipulation and proved to be a nice snack for a bunch of piranhas, now I’m not going to make light of what was likely the most painful way to lose a title match ever, but it does point to a pattern.”

And here it is.

“That pattern is that you’re a choke artist, every time you get a big opportunity something conspires against you and before you know it, you’ve lost yet another title match and this match will be no different! I know you’ll give me a hell of a match alongside Alex Miles but your career in SCW is something like a roller-coaster, you’ve had highs and you’ve had lows and believe me, I’ve been there myself! And this match will be yet another low for you!”

It’s that simple.

“This match, on paper at least, seems like a sure-fire successful second title defence for Alex Jones over me and Miles Kasey but people said something similar about my match against Cassian Reed a few weeks ago but what does the record state? “Caleb Storms beat Cassian Reed by pin-fall”, like I said, this is my first step towards people finally realising just how good I am in the ring and if Alex and Miles even think about underestimating me, that Roulette Title is as good as mine!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“Alex has one successful defence to him name, unfortunately it was against Bill Barnhart who I think even The Troll could beat convincingly at this point! But at Into the Void X he’s facing real competition in the form of me and Miles Kasey in his second Roulette Title Defence and whilst Miles may be a fantastic wrestler in his own right, I’ll be the one to walk out the new Roulette Champion because Alex and Miles had better brace themselves as there is a storm brewing, otherwise they’ll be blown away by “The Metal Storm” Caleb Storms, your next Roulette Champion!”

I went out to play with Lemmy as the scene fades.

Caleb’s challenge to Agostino for a Ladder Match to settle their feud over the Internet Championship backfired as Agostino won back the Internet Championship after a hard fought match, come the first Climax Control of the Into the Void X Cycle Caleb was interviewed by Pussy Willow who asked him if he intended to challenge Agostino again which he confirmed that he didn’t, stating that he had made that challenge to prove that he could win the title legitimately and it was time he moved on.

That ended up being a moot point however as the bosses had already picked Mac Bane as Agostino’s next challenger, but Caleb wasn’t out of the title scene yet as he was competing in a Roulette Title Qualifier Match against his old foe “Bulldog” Bill Barnhart! This was one of four qualifying matches that represented both divisions and the previous week Miles Kasey qualified for the men’s Roulette Title Match whilst Krystal Wolfe broke her months long losing streak to earn a spot in the Bombshell Roulette Championship Match at Into the Void X with Miles beating Lincoln Daniels and Krystal beating Bea Barnhart and Candy, can Caleb get back into the title scene?

I did what I set out to do, abs that’s all I can say.

To be honest, I didn’t even w if the bosses would let my challenge for a rematch for the Internet Championship knowing how much of a control freak, they can be and my reason was simple enough, people said that I wouldn’t have won it on my own and I wanted to prove them wrong, the fact that I am now a two time Internet Champion says it all really, problem is? Agostino is now a two time Internet Champion as well.

But this time around? He won’t be facing me for a while.

“Champion today, future challenger tomorrow.” Katie commented as we sat down in catering, it had been while since the Internet Title Match and I was still reeling from it. “You have any plans for the next Cycle?”

“Moving on from the Internet Title scene mostly.” I shrugged my shoulders in response as I grabbed my drink and took a sip from it. “I wanted the rematch because I wanted to prove that I would’ve won the title without being handed it, I would say that it’s not my fault that it turned into a trilogy of matches between us but, well, that’s a bold faced lie so bad that it would make the average politician blush.”

“Bonus points if they happen to be republican, am I right?” Katie asked with a grin and I nodded in agreement. “So, what is the plan if you’re not going after the Internet Title again?”

“Do I look like a guy with a plan?” I asked and Katie gave me a significant look. “Seriously, I don’t know what I’ll get up to in the next cycle, if I get asked about it by either Pussy or Rocky at the next Climax Control I’ll say as much but I’ll think I’ll just go with the flow.”

“I’ll say this much, I’ll laugh if you somehow end up in title contention again come Into the Void X.” Katie admitted, and I nodded in agreement. “In the meantime, I’ll be continuing my training at the Go Gym.”

“How have things been at the Go Gym, things have been tensing up between Krystal and Carter, right?” I asked and Katie nodded reluctantly.

“Gabriel’s tried to play peacemaker between them but Krystal’s bungled attempt at going into mom mode has driven a big wedge between them.” Katie admitted with a sigh as I took a sip from my drink. “And Krystal’s frustration at not only her losing streak/shitty main roster luck and the Carter situation is not helping matters, and don’t get me started on the whole Fenris situation which will only get worse after the Lion’s Den Match’s aftermath.”

“I’d hate to be Brother David Shepherd at the next episode of Climax Control, that’s for sure,” I commented, and Katie nodded in agreement before we resumed talking about non-wrestling things.

Sunday the 11th of April 2021, 23:00pm

Boy, this has been a wild night.

Like I said to Katie, when I was interviewed by Pussy about going after the Internet Championship again I flatly said no (and it ended up being a moot point since the bosses already had Mac Bane in mind for Agostino’s next challenger) and that I wanted to move on to other things now that I had proven that I could win the Internet Championship on my own, what that something is was something I didn’t know at the time but I now have next week’s card and my answer,

“I’m facing Bill Barnhart again?” I wondered out loud and Katie glanced up from packing up our stuff to leave the arena for home. “And the Barnharts are getting another chance to get in Roulette Title contention to boot!”

“Your match is a Roulette Title Qualifier?” Katie asked and I nodded before showing her the card/ “I’m surprised that was even considered after Bea’s actions against Sam Marlowe earlier tonight but at least Krystal will be in a better mood now that she’s finally won a match on the main roster.”

“And getting a shot at Royal Purple and the Roulette Championship won’t hurt either.” I responded with a nod as I went over the rest of the card. “I know I can beat “Old Fart” Barnhart! I’ve done it twice already! The only difference this time is the fact that I’m getting a Roulette Title opportunity out of it!”

“Don’t get too cocky, Johanna Krieger fell into the same trap and she lost the Roulette Title to Jessie Salco back in October.” Katie pointed out and I nodded in agreement. “Still, you do have more wins than losses over Bill and that’s all that’ll matter come match time, well that and you keeping that streak alive.”

“Yeah, if Bill qualifies for the Roulette Title Match, then Alex’s first title defence will be that much easier, at least with two young guns like me and Milo in the match he’ll have a tougher time.” I responded and Katie nodded in agreement before she finished getting our stuff together. “Anything we’re forgetting or can we head home?”

“Phones? Check, everything else. Check.” Katie responded before she made her way to the door and I followed her. “I’ll make sure to take Lemmy on a quick walk before I leave for the Go Gum tomorrow morning, should make things easier on you.”

“Here’s hoping.” I nodded in agreement before we left the arena.

“When I said that I wanted to move on from the Internet Title scene for now, I meant it! Granted it was a moot point since the bosses had picked Agostino’s first challenger long before I was interviewed by Pussy Willow but the fact that I’m moving on still rings true as this week I’m the latest Superstar to compete in a Roulette Title Qualifying Match and it’s yet another match against “Bulldog” Bill Barnhart, or “Old Fart” Barnhart as I like to call him!”

This will be good.

“Though I must ask, why did they choose Bill for my opponent exactly? It can’t be because of his win/loss record because that hasn’t been spotless and after Bea’s actions on the last episode of Climax Control, I’m almost inclined to think that the Barnharts have blackmail on the bosses, it’s as good an explanation as any to why they keep getting chances at the Mixed Tag Team Titles!”

No matter how many times they fail to win said titles.

“That being said, Bill, I know you said that you intend to get a win back on your way to the Roulette Title Match at Into the Void X but much like I did when we faced off for a spot in the Six Pack Challenge for the World Title at December 2 Dismember, it falls to me to keep “Old Fart” Bill Barnhart out of title contention! I know you want to avenge your wife’s failure at winning her spot in the Bombshell Roulette Title last week but, well, I hope you’ve got another cup of coffee to throw in someone’s face because I don’t see how you’re ending up on PPV otherwise!”

Do you want suggestions?

“As for suggestions? Well provided he shows up again after last week’s annihilation by Tempest, I suggest The Troll because he’s so easy to hate! And speaking of easy, it’s extremely easy for me to win this match because you only beat me once and haven’t been able to repeat that initial performance in the next few times we’ve faced off, hope you make yourself comfortable on the couch Bill because after I beat you, I think your wife will be relegating you to the couch for the rest of the year!”

It’s that simple.

“Bill, you’ve been in this business a lot longer than I have but your repeated failures to do anything off note in SCW tells me one thing, maybe it’s time that you hung up the wrestling boots for good and called it a day! I’d say that you could manage Bea instead but she hasn’t had the same success either so I don’t know what you could do once you finally throw in the towel! But until you do, I’ll continue to beat you in wrestling matches!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.
