•••••••••••

On December 8th, 2013: Sin City Wrestling would be hosting another SuperCard show. It had been titled: “December 2 Dismember II” and on this night it had already been announced the show was stacked from top to bottom. There were so many matches that were set to  take place that would without a doubt steal the show. In fact there’s one match specifically that could completely tear the house down and be the match of the night. It was a match that just happened to be involving six random men in what has been described a Double Ladder Match for the SCW Tag Team Championships.

The concept is simply this. With the SCW Tag Team Championships being vacated the following six men: Aaron Matthews, Jon Dough, Steve Ramone, Eric Steel, Brother Grimm, and a Mystery Man will duke it out with each other. Whomever is the first two men are that climb the ladder and pull down down the titles will officially become the new SCW Tag Team Champions. That is without a doubt is an interesting concept and is a situation that could go either way. Not a match that could truly be predicted with the amount of talent in the ring.

With everything up in the air and all six men competing against each other hungrier than ever with the purpose of trying to prove something. There’s a good chance that no one could correctly predict this match or the outcome of this match. We’re just going to all have to sit back and watch how it all unfolds. One thing that will be for sure though is when this match takes place on that night. It will without a doubt make history and that alone is enough to be sure to tune into December 2 Dismember II.

“CHALLENGE ACCEPTED”

• People Featured: Ms. Rocky Mountains & Aaron Matthews
• Location: Hollywood, California
• Date: November 24th, 2013

In just his second match with Sin City Wrestling; the American Tradition: Aaron Matthews suffered his first loss. He teamed up with Necra Octavian Kane to take on the team of Emma Rose and Jon Dough. Despite his best efforts it wasn’t enough to get him his second win in a row. No one likes defeat and as one could have imagined. Matthews wasn’t exactly pleased with losing. He happened to be walking down the long corridor at that very moment heading in the direction of his locker room.

He had his hands on his head as he shook it a little bit. Quite obviously he was within his own head and going over what had happened out there earlier in the night. However his attention was pulled in a different direction the moment that he heard someone call out his name. He turned around to see none other than Ms. Rocky Mountains walking towards him with a microphone in hand and a camera crew in tow. It was obvious what this was going to turn into.

MS. ROCKY MOUNTAINS: Aaron, Aaron! Would you mind if I got a word with you?

The American Tradition was likely one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet in the wrestling business. Even when there was times that he didn’t feel like being caught up in situations like this. He still did it for the sake of the fans and to show respect to the business that had given him everything. He nodded his head some and looked back at her.

AARON MATTHEWS: Sure thing, what’s up chicka?

MS. ROCKY MOUNTAINS: Well, I was wondering how you are feeling after that tag match? Just your second match with SCW and you’ve already had your shoulders pinned to the match.

AARON MATTHEWS: I won’t lie to ya ma’am. It ain’t exactly the easiest thing in the world to deal with a loss like that. I came to SCW to prove something and here I am with a loss already added to my name. It blows but aye what can I do? I just gotta move on from it and attempt to come back stronger next time I find myself climbing into the ring.

MS. ROCKY MOUNTAINS: Well it appears that you are going to get that chance real soon. It was made official that on December 8th in Newark, California at December 2 Dismember II. You’ll be in a Double Ladder Match to crown new Tag Team Champions.

AARON MATTHEWS: Whoa, pump the brakes little lady. A Double Ladder Match?

MS. ROCKY MOUNTAINS: Yessir, it’s a match that’s going to involve you competing against the following: Eric Steel, Jon Dough, Steve Ramone, Brother Grimm, and a Mystery Man that will be named at the event. With the Tag Titles being vacated - the first two men that are able to climb the ladder and pull down the belts will be crowned the new SCW Tag Champs. How does that make you feel? It’s quite the big opportunity, if you were to ask me.

AARON MATTHEWS: I can’t disagree with you on that one chicka. It is a pretty big opportunity at hand, especially for someone like me whom is nothing more than the new kid on the block.

He paused for a brief moment as he was taking it all in. It was quite the shock that in just his third match he had a chance to become a champion. Not that he was going to have too high of hopes because anything could happen. On top of that after what happened out there a bit ago. His confidence was shaken just a little bit.

AARON MATTHEWS: Man, I don’t even really know how to react to some news like that. That’s huge for me and everyone else in this match, but it ain’t gonna be an easy task. You’re tossing six men in the ring with each other that happen to be hungry as hell. One of those men just happens to have an advantage in being a surprise. I can tell you right now all hell is going to break loose especially when ladders come into play.

MS. ROCKY MOUNTAINS: You’ve got that much right, but the concept of the match is quite different wouldn’t you agree?

AARON MATTHEWS: Of course I agree. I mean the first two that grab the belts are considered the new Tag Champs. Whomever wins will be teaming with someone on a regular basis that they have never teamed with before. There’s a chance that you might not get along with that person. There’s a chance that you might not have anything in common as a team. There’s a chance that your styles might be different than the other. And there’s even a chance that you could find the best tag partner in the world. It’s one of those things that are simply just up in the air. Then again from what I understand SCW’s tag teams have always consisted of weird and unthinkable tag teams since the birth of this great company. So in the long run I suppose it makes sense that this is going down, haha.

MS. ROCKY MOUNTAINS: You make a good point there Aaron, but I’m going to go ahead and cut to the chase. I’m going to ask the question that everyone else is going to want to ask you. When those bright lights come on at December 2 Dismember and when you find yourself in the middle of that ring on Sunday Night. Do you believe that you’ve got what it takes to leave that ring one half of the SCW Tag Team Champions?

AARON MATTHEWS: That’s a tough question to ask me ma’am. Cuz it’s one of those things that can go either way. With five other talented people in the match aside from me. There’s a good chance that I could be one of the six that go home empty handed. Of course that’s not the plan but realistically that’s something that could happen ya know? But at the same time I came to SCW on a mission to get my name known. I might be a star in that bigger company or whatever. However this is a new stage and I’m in a new place on a new level. I gotta get my name out here in SCW. I gotta prove to the world I’m a force. I gotta prove to all of SCW that I’m the next big thang around here. Sure, it ain’t gonna be easy. I found that out here tonight when I suffered my first loss. I won’t back down and I won’t quit. I won’t let one loss set me back. That’s not how I roll. If I were to come down with one of those tag belts at December 2 Dismember then I would be on the right track and I would have already etched my name into the history books of SCW. That’s what the plan is, we’ll see what happens soon enough.

MS. ROCKY MOUNTAINS: Seems that you’ve got it all figured out and seem like you’re heading in the right direction. But I won’t keep you any longer. I was however wondering if there’s any last words that you’d like to share with us here tonight?

AARON MATTHEWS: Any last words? I’ll put it like this I know that on that night it’s going to be a challenge. One hell of a challenge in fact. But on that night I’ma do my best Barney Stinson, I’ll suit up and then simply say: CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

The American Tradition had a smirk spread across his lips as he looked towards the cameras and gave them a little wink. That’s when he turned himself around and started to walk away from Ms. Rocky Mountains to begin his journey back to his locker room in order to begin getting himself ready to leave for the night. However over the next couple of weeks he’d have a lot to think about and he’d have a lot to dwell on going into this rather huge matchup on December 8th. Good thing about that was there was no doubting the fact Matthews would be ready once it was time for the bright lights to come on. How was it going to end was the true question. We’d just have to tune in two weeks from now to find out.

“ON THE ROAD AGAIN”

• People Featured: Aaron Matthews, JD Phoenix, & Lil Jace
• Location: Chicago, Illinois
• Date: November 30th, 2013

Thanksgiving was officially in the books and this year it was different for the American Tradition: Aaron Matthews. Simply because he spent the entire day with his girlfriend and the mother of his child: JD Phoenix along with their son. Now that wouldn’t have been so bad had JD not actually dragged him to her mother’s house. Let’s just keep it as PG as we can. JD’s mother was a witch and didn’t exactly care for Aaron. Never really had.

With the holiday over though, it was time for Aaron to take himself back on the road. This trip was going to have him flying out to California as in a matter of one week he’d be climbing into the ring with five other men to compete in a double ladder match to crown new tag champs. On that note Aaron found himself in their master bedroom with his suitcases spread out across the bed while he searched the closet for something.

Whatever it was he seemingly couldn’t find it which forced him to yell out for JD.

AARON MATTHEWS: Baaaaaaabe! Have you seen my wrestling boots?!

Lil' Jace laid on his mother's chest, sleeping, as J.D. chilled out on the couch, scrolling through her iPhone on the Vans website for some new kicks. She smacks her lips before responding to Aaron.

J.D. PHOENIX: They up yo butt and around the corner.

J.D. had no choice but to bust out laughing at her own joke but Aaron wasn't feeling her comedy at the moment. J.D. was jokester, she rarely took anything seriously, but Aaron obviously had other obligations. Preparing for a huge double ladder match for the tag team titles was a serious matter for The Tradition and the last thing he needed was his significant other joking around, although he knew that was her personality. However, to avoid a shade war, J.D. responded back seriously.

J.D. PHOENIX: But in all honesty, check my suitcase. The purple one. I think I put them in there when we were leaving out. You left them but I got em' for you.

After hearing her shout back at him he looked towards the back of her closet and pulled out her purple suitcase. He was quick to unzip it and sure enough there were his wrestling boots. He smirked a little with a slight shake of his head. He knew that if it wasn’t for her there would be times that he’d lose his head. He grabbed the boots out of her suitcase as he tossed them inside his before placing her suitcase back in the closet.

He grabbed a hold of one side of the suitcase and flipped it up before zipping it up. Aaron pulled it down off the bed before zipping up the other suitcase and pulled it off the bed. He was quick to grab his phone off the bed side table as he slipped it into his pocket only to grab both suitcases and walk out of the bedroom. He made his way down the hall and then around the corner to steps making is way down them. It wasn’t long before he found himself in the living room area.

AARON MATTHEWS: Found em, thanks.

J.D. took a break from her phone and looked up at her hot piece of man. She examined him before setting her phone down on her lap, carefully to make sure no sudden movements woke up the baby.

J.D. PHOENIX: Lookin' good, baby. ...I know for sure you're going to kick ass in that match. Jace and I are going to be cheering you on, fa sho.

J.D. winks at Aaron as they smile at each other.  He couldn’t help but smile although, there was part of him that doubted himself. This was a huge match in a different place and while he was used to pressure and used the spotlight. While he had been the top before his confidence was a little shaken after the events that took place last week.

AARON MATTHEWS: Well that at least makes one of us that believes I’m going to kick ass in that match. Gotta be honest with ya boo. I ain’t so confident in myself. After that loss last week in that tag match. I mean I kicked the dude right in the face. It should have been over but he kicked out and then turned around to beat me.

He shook his head a little bit. It wasn’t very often that his confidence was shaken. It wasn’t very often that he lost the ability to believe in himself. Then again it’s not every day that someone kicked out of his signature Superkick and then turned around to beat him. He kind of just let his suitcases drop on the floor as he looked over at her shrugging his shoulders.

AARON MATTHEWS: But uh, I’ll try do the best I can.

J.D. could see that Aaron was unsure of himself. She sat up on the couch, carefully grabbing Jace as she stood up and laid him down on the couch. She walked over to Aaron and wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tightly before looking into his brown eyes.

J.D. PHOENIX: Come on bro, you win some, you lose some. But what matters is that you try your best and keep fighting. So what, you slipped up last week and that dude beat you. At least you have another shot, and aye if you don't get it, I'll still be your number one fan.

J.D. reaches up on her tippy toes and kisses Aaron softly on his lips. Somehow as cheesy as it might sound anytime that she kissed him it made things seem alright and made all the negativity go away. Sure, he wanted to win and he wanted to win more than anything in the world because that’s just how he was programmed so yeah he took it hard when he loss but he wasn’t going to allow it to hold him down.

AARON MATTHEWS: Trust boo, I know that we all slip up and lose sometime... but how many people have you ever known to just take my superkick. No sell the shit like Hogan from the 80s and then come back to beat me? It is practically unheard of and now the dude is in the match with me. Part of me wants to make sure he doesn’t win. Cause I don’t want to team with the guy after the loss but at the same time I know dude’s hella talented and would be a great tag partner.

He sighed a little bit and shrugged his shoulders again.

AARON MATTHEWS: Guess we’ll see what happens when I get out in that ring. All I know is I’ma do whatever I have to do to make sure I’m the one pulling down one of those Tag Team Titles.

J.D. throws her arms in the air as she laughs out loud.

J.D. PHOENIX: Maybe that guy had a V8 before he fought you and unleashed some Superman type strength or some shit, who knows. All I know is that you're gonna go out there and beat ass. If you have to Superkick those mofo's fifteen times to snatch one of those titles, ...just go for it. Give it all you got and more.

J.D. kisses Aaron on the cheek. He chuckled a little bit while nodding his head. She always had a way about the way she said things and the way she carried herself. After all she wasn’t like most women and she always had such a goofy nature about her. That’s what just made things work with them. They were both like that, but Aaron could be the more serious one when the time called for it.

AARON MATTHEWS: If I start superkicking mofos fifteen times a night to keep them down... I think it might be time to find a new finisher. Cuz that shit be some bullshit if that be the case.

He chuckled a little bit.

AARON MATTHEWS: But in all seriousness babe, thanks a lot.

J.D. PHOENIX: Don’t mention it bro, but I don’t need you getting all mushy on me. No one got time for that baby.

AARON MATTHEWS: Haha, fair enough babe. Fair enough. I’ll see you when I get back then?

J.D. PHOENIX: I’ll be here. Ain’t got nowhere else to go... unless you know Channing Tatum shows up at the door.

AARON MATTHEWS: Very funny woman. Anyway, I gotta get going. Love you.

J.D. PHOENIX: Love you too.

The two briefly kissed one another before before Matthews picked up his bags and walked over to his son. Jace was very much still asleep there on the couch. He leaned down very carefully and placed a kiss on top of his head. Being sure not to wake the tiny infant. With that being said he turned towards JD and waved for the final time before walking out the door. It was time for him to begin the long journey to California. It was going to be a rather long week for him. However it was going to be worth it in the end and that’s what he was going to hold onto the most. Now it’s just a matter of seeing how it all turned out for him in the end.

“WHEN THE SPOTLIGHT IS ON”

VLOG #2

“In this business I have come to learn two things. There are people that can’t perform when the spotlight is on. They end up choking in the worse possible way. It’s those people that end up not having a career in the long run with this business and honestly that’s perfectly understandable. If ya can’t perform under the spotlight and if you can’t hold your own against the pressure then there ain’t no place for you in this business at all. And then there’s people that can perform under the spotlight. I don’t want to toot my own horn because that’s not the way I present myself.

I ain’t egotistical and I ain’t arrogant but I am one of those people. When the spotlight is on I go all out. When the spotlight is on I lay it all on the line. When the spotlight is on I perform better than anyone else and that’s because I thrive for that spotlight. That’s because I always want to be in the spotlight. That’s because I want all eyes on me because I truly know what I’m capable of. Now it seems that the spotlight is truly going to be on at SCW’s December 2 Dismember II and I couldn’t be more excited. For those that haven’t heard I am one of the six men that will be competing in the Double Ladder Match that’s taking place.

I find myself in the ring with the likes of Jon Dough, Steve Ramone, Eric Steel, Brother Grimm, and a mystery man that will be revealing himself at the event. Now for those that aren’t exactly aware of the concept or how this match is going to go down. Allow me to explain it to you. From what I understand the SCW Tag Team Championships have been vacated due to one of the former champs refusing to find a new Tag Partner with his normal partner out with an injury. With that being said the rules are simple for the match coming up. The first two men that are able to climb the ladder and pull down the championships will become the new Tag Champs. What that basically means is the two men that win this match are going to be unfamiliar with each other.

They aren’t going to know the others moveset or how they work. Long story short they are gonna be completely in the dark when it comes to the person they are teaming with but never the less that person is going to be their Tag Team Partner until they lose the titles. Now to some that’s going to be fairly quickly depending on who wins but from what I have come to understand that’s not exactly the case. Because from what I have come to understand SCW’s Tag Team Division from the start have always consisted of unfamiliar, unusual, and odd tag pairings.

That’s exactly what their going to get with a concept like this.I’m gonna go ahead and let everyone know right off the bat that I’m aiming to win on that Sunday Night. For the most part these extreme matches are right up my alley. I have competed in quite a few Ladder Matches in my day and in that time I have managed to swing things in my favor more than once. I think there’s a good chance that I could pull it off again this time around. Like I said I perform the best when the spotlight is on but the fact still remains one of those men could end up being my tag team partner.

I’ll be honest with each and every single one of you right now. I don’t see myself being in a tag team with someone like Eric Steel or Steve Ramone. To be quite honest guys there’s something that tells me these two aren’t reliable. Neither one of them seem like they are someone that I could truly rely on if we were to end up with the title belts when this match comes to an end. At the same exact time though that’s not something that it appears that I’m going to need to worry about. Only because it’s not like either one of them is going to be able to come down with one half of those titles in the first place.

Sure that might be an arrogant situation and that might be enough to rub people the wrong way, but you know what? I’ve always been a straight shooter. I call it like I see it and I don’t see them being a force at all. It is what it is. But that leaves a few hours which just happen to be the Mystery Man and Brother Grimm. Right off the top of my head I could say that I logically if I had a choice wouldn’t want to team with Brother Grimm. He just seems too dark and too twisted for my liking. I ain’t seeing that turn out to be a great team to be quite honest.

But at the same the dude has a ton of experience in this division. He’s been a Tag Champ before. I could learn a lot from him and there’s good chance that even if we had different styles and even if we didn’t exactly communicate that we could get the job done. He’s got the experience and it’s not like I’m a total rookie, but that’s not my first choice. Guess we’ll see what happens when the night unfolds. As far as the Mystery Man goes...I’m not even sure how I feel about something like that. How could I even begin to say if I would or wouldn’t want to be in a team with that guy?

I don’t know his name. I don’t know what he’s capable of. I don’t know anything about him really. It’s going to be a situation where I have to wait till the day of December 2 Dismember II and wait till the match time to find out what I’m up against and what I could be finding myself teaming with in the near future. However to be real with y’all. Any person that has to come in as a mystery and has to keep things on the down low like this person is. Only does it for the advantage and nine times out of ten they aren’t worth a damn when they are revealed. Not saying that’s the case but there’s a good chance.

And that leaves me with Jon Dough as my last opponent as well as the last person that could end up being the man I face. I aint gonna lie Jon. I’m a little salty about what happened on Climax Control. I thought I had ya beat. I thought that superkick was gonna be the end of it but nah son. You kicked out and ya beat me. You beat me fair and square. I got no real reason to be salty or upset but at the same time there’s not very many people that have kicked out of my finisher and then beat me to add insult to injury, but I do know this much.

You showed heart. You showed passion. You showed determination and I respect the hell out of you for that. Personally, I could see us both coming down with the titles next Sunday Night. I could see us being a great tag team. Based on the simple fact that we’re rookies around here and we’re hungrier than ever. We want nothing more than to be that next star and to be that next main eventer. We want nothing more than to prove that we belong in this business and to take our rightful spot at the top. This right here could be our starting point and as they say we’ve all got to start somewhere.

Of course not any of us know how it’s gonna turn out. We just gotta get in there Next Sunday and give it everything we’ve got. I know that’s exactly what I intend on doing. Cuz in mah book I can’t afford to be lazy and I can’t afford to fail. That’s now how I roll and that’s now how I get down. I just personally hope that one of y’all step it up like I intend on stepping it up. Cuz that’s the only way this is gonna end up working out. I gotta week to find out but I want to remember in the meantime. I want you to remember that... TRADITIONS NEVER DIE!

On the last Climax Control the SCW fans got to witness the debut of The American Tradition: Aaron Matthews. There was a lot of hype about the young kid going into the match. He was someone that had been places. He was someone that had achieved a lot at nearly twenty five years old. He had paid his dues in the wrestling world and what not. However here was the true kicker, it was the first time in many years since Matthews returned to the Independent Circuit and it was the first time ever since he had been apart of a major independent wrestling promotion. So it was understandable why all eyes were on him.

With that being said he was up against Cyrus King. Someone that had been making headlines in SCW for the last couple months. King declared that Matthews didn't have what it took to win and declared that Matthews didn't have the ability to overcome him. He said that Matthews was going to be like every other rookie and fall flat on his face. In the end though, the American Tradition proved that Traditions Never Die because he caught King right under the chin with the Superkick From Hell that seemingly came out of nowhere followed by picking up the pin fall to earn his first SCW victory.

That right there had more eyes on him than he would have expected to have so early on in his career at Sin City Wrestling. However this coming week Matthews would find himself in a situation where his game was going to have to step up a little bit. Because he was going to be involved in a Intergender Tag Match. Matthews would be paired up with a former SCW Bombshell Roulette Champion: Necra Octavian Kane and they would be going up against. Hot new comer Jon Dough and the one-the only Emma Rose. Needless to say this tag match was packed with talent and was going to be an interesting sight to see.

Come Sunday Night though which team was going to be able to pull it off? Would Jon Dough and Emma Rose prove to be a force to be reckon with on this one night? Or will the newcomer Aaron Matthews and Necra Octavian Kane bring it all together to get the win? It was one of those things where you'd just have to wait and see what happens. However it was a guarantee that no one was going to want to miss this match.

OVERREACTING MUCH?

• People Featured: Aaron Matthews, JD Phoenix, and Lil Jace
• Location: Chicago, Illinois
• Date: November 20th, 2013

In the rather large living room of the Matthews Home, the man known as the American Tradition: Aaron Matthews sat there on his couch with his X-Box One controller in his hand. His attention was very much on the Madden 25 game that he was playing. It was so real like with this new X-Box One system. That would have been all fine and dandy, if he was chilling playing video games. However he was also attempting to hold his near one month old son in his arms too. He had Jace in a safe spot and seemed to have a hold of him. However multi-tasking with an infant wasn't smart or rational thinking.

With that being said JD Phoenix – Aaron's long term girlfriend and the mother of the child happened to walk in the room returning from her grocery store trip. As she walked into the living room area her jaw nearly hit the floor when she saw what she saw. Instantly she let it be known that she wasn't too pleased with him.

THE TATTED SKATER CHICK ( jdphoenix )
Aaron, what in the world are you doing?!

THE AMERICAN TRADITION ( aaronmatthews )
Playing Madden. What's it look like babe?

THE TATTED SKATER CHICK ( jdphoenix )
While trying to hold our near old month infant?!

It not only seemed to irritate her but it seemed to scare her as well. Considering that she felt Aaron wasn't giving her all his attention and due to her feeling he was being a little bit careless. She walked over and scooped the tiny child out of his arms. Instantly it caused Aaron to pause the game as he looked over at JD.

THE AMERICAN TRADITION ( aaronmatthews )
Woah, chill out babe. I had him.

THE TATTED SKATER CHICK ( jdphoenix )
Aaron, don't start with me right now.

THE AMERICAN TRADITION ( aaronmatthews )
I'm not... but you are.

THE TATTED SKATER CHICK ( jdphoenix )
Because I think its incredibly foolish for you to try to play video games AND hold our newborn in your arms? Yeah, I am totally starting something right about now.

THE AMERICAN TRADITION ( aaronmatthews )
It's not like it was doing any harm JD.

THE TATTED SKATER CHICK ( jdphoenix )
Maybe not at that moment, no... but I'd like to think that our son is just a little more important than a video game. You could pause that and come back to that later.

THE AMERICAN TRADITION ( aaronmatthews )
Okay, I think you are overreacting a little bit with trying imply my gaming habits mean more than our son and the last thing I'm going to do is get into a fight with you. We're better than that.

Slightly frustrated with her accusations he sat his remote down on the table in front of him and pushed himself up from the seat he was sitting in. He walked right on past her as he started to head towards the door but she called out to him.

THE TATTED SKATER CHICK ( jdphoenix )
Where do you think you're going?

THE AMERICAN TRADITION ( aaronmatthews )
Out for a little bit. I'm giving you a chance to calm down. Clearly, the last month has taken a toll on you. One that I never expected.

THE TATTED SKATER CHICK ( jdphoenix )
Oh so sorry that you didn't expect me to be so emotional nearly a month after pushing a baby out of my vag. I'll do my best to get myself in shape.

THE AMERICAN TRADITION ( aaronmatthews )
Again you're overreacting because that's not what I'm saying. I just didn't expect it to be like it is, but it's understandable. Anyway, I'm going to go handle some things and when I get back. We'll talk aight?

THE TATTED SKATER CHICK ( jdphoenix )
Alright fine... and I'm sor-

THE AMERICAN TRADITION ( aaronmatthews )
Don't sweat it, like I said. I understand and we'll talk later. Love you.

THE TATTED SKATER CHICK ( jdphoenix )
Love you too.

Matthews leaned forward long enough to press his lips against hers for a brief moment and then turned his attention to his son long enough to press his lips on the top of his head before turning himself around to walk out the door. He planned on using this time wisely. To get his head together for the match that he had coming up in a few days. It was going to be time for him to really step it up and get himself out there but that would involve a little more of his swag being leaked to Sin City Wrestling to show them what he's all about and give them a reason to continue to care about him.

Traditions Never Die Vlog Entry: #1

Hello SCW,

How the heck is it hangin' folks? I would hope that it's going as well for you as it is for me. I mean just one week ago I came off a huge victory over Cyrus King. You know leading up to that match a lot of people didn't think I had chance. Even King himself said that I couldn't beat him and that I was going to suffer the same fate as every other new cat that had been walking into SCW as of late. I won't lie. I let that sink in. I thought about that shit. Heck, I even dwelled on it going into the match with King, but I knew that deep down I could pull it off. I knew that deep down I had the ability to win. I knew that deep down I could beat King.

And sure enough that's what I did. When he least expected it he ate the bottom of my Nikes. From there it was lights out for him and hello victory for me. Needless to say I'm pumped. I'm more than pumped. I'm excited because my career here in SCW started off on the right foot and that's what I needed to happen. That's what I wanted to happen. That win has got a lot of people looking ya boy's way now. I got them eyes on me and now that's just adding more pressure on me to succeed and do something special to keep the attention on me. I got the chance to do so headed into Climax Control this week.

For those that haven't heard I am part of an Intergender Tag Team Match. It's going to myself teaming up with Necra Octavian Kane. Someone who is known all around SCW. She's a former SCW Bombshell Roulette Champion. She's even a former SCW Bombshell Tag Team Champion. I think I'm in good hands with having her as my partner. Even though she does have a bit of an attitude problem and it seems that going into this match. She's not too high on me and doesn't have too many expectations. But that's alright folks. It's all gucci ya heard, because by the time that match is over. I'm going to make a believer out of Necra.

But before I get too carried away with things. We got ourselves going up against Emma Rose and Jon Dough. Now that right thurr isn't going to be an easy task. From what I have come to understand Mr. Dough is a new guy much like myself. He's red hot from what I understand. He's got the entire company talking about him. Best part is the dude's a little bit of a mystery man. I mean he is the one hiding behind the mask and he is the one having someone speak for him. Ain't nothing wrong with that, because it's working for him. He's doing his thing and I'm not gonna throw salt in his game.

Then of course there's Emma. Wowers, that's one hot mama. I'm a committed man. I love JD more than anything in the world, but I am going to just put it on blast. Emma is one attractive woman and not only is she attractive. She knows how to get it done in the ring. Woman isn't a joke. Granted she doesn't have the accolades or the accomplishments that my partner has but it doesn't mean anything. It doesn't mean anything at all. Because Emma has proven herself. She has proven she can step it up. She has proven that she can get the job done. She's proven that she can steal the show when the spotlight is on her. Not to mention she's just recently coming back to SCW. All a matter of time till she truly does something great.

That is one hell of a team to be against. Its almost intimidating to a slight degree, but what you guys are going to come to learn about me is I accept a challenge. I love a challenge. I love pushing myself to the limit and I love pushing myself like I've never been pushed before. It doesn't matter if it's a one on one match with an egotist. It doesn't matter if it's a tag match where my team might be the one with the disadvantage. It doesn't matter what if it's me on my own out in the ring against like twenty something people. I love the challenge. I embrace the challenge and I do everything that I possibly can to overcome that challenge. That's why I assure you that this match is going to be no different than any other match.

It was announced little over a week ago that the hottest free agent on the wrestling circuit had signed a deal with Sin City Wrestling. That free agent being none other than The American Tradition: Aaron Matthews. Without a doubt Matthews had proven himself in the wrestling world on the biggest stage possible on a couple different occasions. Now things are different as he's competing on a more of an independent circuit. It presents a new challenge.

As of this week it was announced that Matthews would be competing for the first time under a SCW contract. His opponent would be none other than Cyrus King. Someone that has proven without a shadow of a doubt he can be a threat to the roster. Therefore Matthews finds himself having his work cut out for him. At the same time though, Matthews has proven over time that he can adapt to any situation and that he isn't someone that folds under pressure.

What's going to happen when two faces collide? Could the so called rookie come in and make an impact right off the bat? Or will King show why he is one of the forces to be reckon with on the roster? It was one of those things that happened to be in the air and therefore one of those situations where you'd just have to wait and see as it all unfolded. However it was a guarantee that it wasn't a match that anyone was going to want to miss.

“TRADITIONS NEVER DIE”

Twenty four hours from now I'd find myself getting in the ring for the first time since signing a contract with SCW. I felt so many different ways at one time it was insane. I was nervous. I was scared. I was excited. Among many other things, but I knew those nerves would all go away when I stepped between the ropes. They always had, but it was still a matter of waiting the next twenty four hours to get to that point. However today was going to be the day I made my first official “promo” to release to the company.

Standing there in the cold – it was a lot colder this time of year than it should have been. Never the less I stood there in the cold as the cameras turned on to feature me. I was all smiles as I felt a sense of calming overcome me only because this was almost as big as a rush as being in the ring. There was nothing like getting into character and in general there was nothing like pro wrestling as far as I was concerned.

THE AMERICAN TRADITION (aaronmatthews)
Sin City Wrestling. From what I have discovered and from what I have learned in the short amount of research I've done. This company i one of the biggest companies in the professional wrestling world and for all the right reasons. It's got an entire locker room of talented indivuals. Each and every week, each and every night from top to bottom the card is stacked. Five star plus matches getting put on time and time again. It's got a fan base like one wouldn't believe and I can personally say I believe that I made the right decision when I decided to become apart of SCW.

I allowed the smile on my face just get a little bigger as I spoke the truth. I realize that this was the best decision that I could have made in recent history.

THE AMERICAN TRADITION (aaronmatthews)
I received earlier in the week that I would be competing for the first time since signing a deal when Climax Control invades Covina, California at the Knights of Columbia Hall. It would appear that the man I find myself in the ring with will be none other than Cyrus King. Someone that whom hasn't been around all that long but has managed to make a name for himself in that short amount of time. He's proven that he's a force. He's proven that he can do toe to toe with any man. He's proven that he's one tough son of a bitch. I can give him that much, but as tough as he is. He's making the biggest mistake he could make going against me.

There was a small shake within my head. Mainly because I had gotten a chance to catch the first promo put out by Cyrus and it was just a bad-bad situation. Granted people were entitled to their opinions and I had to deal with it. It didn't change the fact I believed he was wrong and therefore I'd speak my mind.

THE AMERICAN TRADITION (aaronmatthews)
First words out of his mouth involved him comparing me to every other new guy that's come within the last couple weeks. He pointed out that Eric Steel lost his debut match – which is something that doesn't surprise me. He was never that good over in EWC. Then he pointed out that someone by the name of John Dough lost his debut match. With all due respect I don't know who John Dough is and right now, I don't care to know who he is. That's not a matter of being disrespectful. More so a matter of me still getting my feet wet and when the time comes for me to get familiar with people then that time will come.

But for you to sit there and point out these facts Cyrus. These facts about other people and then turn around to say that I am going to suffer the same fate they did. For you to say that I'm going to lose my debut match just like they did. For you to basically already imply that you are better than me when you know next to nothing about me is not only arrogant but it is stupid. Because there's not a single wrestler on this roster that's the same. There's not a single person on this earth that is exactly the same as someone else. For good reason. We were all born differently and we all have different talents because we are meant to be our own individual. Not like everyone else.

But allow me to put it to you real simple like this. Eric might have lost. John might have lost. A lot of newbies on the roster might have lost their debut matches, but I have no intentions of following them. I have no intentions in letting me be another statistic when it comes to new people around SCW. I am coming to win, and not just because I want to start off on the right foot. Not just because I want to have that first taste of victory. Not just because I want to test myself, but because you challenge me. You said I couldn't do something. You said I'd fail and now I'm focused on proving you wrong.

I nodded a little.

THE AMERICAN TRADITION (aaronmatthews)
I am a man on a mission now and you'll come to learn with me when I am a man on a mission. Nothing and no one can stop me. I'll overcome any odd. I'll overcome every obstacle. I'll take your best hit and get right back up. I can almost assure you Cyrus, you've never fought a dude like me before. It's going to open your eyes, but for the time being you can say whatever you want. You can say I'm going to be like all the others. You can say that you've never heard of me and never heard of where I have been – which I know is a lie but if that's the game you want to play then so be it.

However from what I understand things haven't exactly gone the way you have wanted since you have started here. Sure, you've made a name for yourself and sure you are proving to be a force to reckon with, but your record hasn't really been all that impressive and seeing as you seem to be a number man. Seeing as you seem to be a man that's all about the stats. One has to wonder and one has to ask the question, are you in any position at all to be acting the way you are? Are you in any position to be selling me short? Are you in any position to try and imply that you are better than me? I would have to say no, but what do I know I'm just the new guy right?

There was a small shrug within my shoulders. Based on the simple fact that I knew I was right. I knew what I was talking about. I knew that I had a point. I knew a lot more than this guy was willing to give me credit for and that was going to come to bite him in the real end soon enough. It was just a matter of proving it hands down.

THE AMERICAN TRADITION (aaronmatthews)
I might be the new kid on the block to everyone else. I might be the kid that's got a lot to prove. I might be the kid that's starting out fresh and I might be the kid that's out of his usual surroundings. This I can admit, but it doesn't change the fact I have been places. It doesn't change the fact I have done things. It doesn't change the fact that I have paid my dues. It doesn't change the fact that I have worked hard to make my name one of the biggest names to ever exist in this business. Maybe, not to any of you around here and I can see why people would say that and see things like that.

The point I was making is, because I've done all of this. I know how to handle myself. I know how to carry myself. I know how to present myself and I know how to be when I step through those ropes. I'm sure that I'm going to show Cyrus and I'm sure that I'm going to shock a lot of other people when I get in the ring. That's fine with me because I'm all about opening eyes and I'm all about making opportunities for myself. As I've learned in this business opportunities aren't just handed to you. They are taken by you making opportunities for yourself and that's what I plan on doing this Sunday at all any needs necessary.

I paused for a brief moment as I let those words out. By now I knew I had the attention of the SCW fans and I knew that I had the attention of my opponent. That's what I wanted more than anything else. With that being said I did have a few final words that I wanted to share at this very moment. The last words and the final words that everyone would remember the most.

THE AMERICAN TRADITION (aaronmatthews)
Come the end of Sunday night Cyrus, you will come to learn one thing... TRADITIONS NEVER DIE!

For a second or two I looked at the cameras in front of me smirking a little bit. I said all I needed to say as far as I was concerned as the cameras soon faded out. It didn't matter to me how Cyrus took my words. It didn't matter to me what he might say between now and the match. It didn't even matter to me what he planned on doing when we climbed into the ring with each other. As far as I was concerned I was going to show up and let all my actions do the rest of the talking for me. Needless to say, by the time this whole thing ended people were going to know who I was, what I stood for, and that I'd be around for a long time to come. It was time to take myself to the next level and nothing as well as no one was going to stop me from getting there.
