Samantha Marlowe Diary entry : Friday January 29:  Early morning

This week has gone down the crapper and it is Friday.

It started Sunday night when I got into it with Candy Overton backstage.  I didn’t mean to but she has been driving me crazy with her tough talk and untouchable attitude.  But trust me; she wasn’t so untouchable Sunday night.  Only thing that bothered me was the fact that Ben pulled me away before I had the chance to really get payback for what she had done to me the week before…

Backstage, Ben Jordan can be seen guiding Sam Marlowe down the hallway away from the altercation she had been in.  Still angered, Sam is breathing heavily, the look on her face signaling her bad intentions.  After getting Sam to a quiet area of the backstage, Ben sets himself between her and the route back.

Ben Jordan:  All right darling, have you got that out of your system?

Sam only spares Ben a look and a half grin before she starts to pace out her frustration.  Leaning back against a nearby equipment box, he watches, ready to stop her.

Sam Marlowe:  Why Ben?  I had her just where I wanted her.  And it felt good getting payback like that.

Ben nods in agreement.

Ben Jordan:  But it isn’t you love.  That’s something that Candy would do.  So why did she attack you?

Sam has the grace to look guilty as she rubs a hand along her neck.  Ben’s eyebrow rises slightly as he can’t help but start to smile.  Sam sees it and brightens with a smile of her own.

Sam Marlowe:  She didn’t really start it…tonight.  Hopefully though, she will learn that messing with me is only going to get her rear end kicked and kicked hard.  I don’t know why she even wants to copy everyone else in the bombshell division.  I mean really.

Sam lets her hands flare out as her confusion crosses her face.

Sam Marlowe:  She is just a…

Sam’s anger returns slightly as her pacing begins again.  Ben continues to watch as Sam stops suddenly and turns with her finger pointing towards the area where they had come from.

Sam Marlowe:  She’s a loose cannon that needs to be spiked.  Seriously Ben, she’s like a rabid dog that needs to be put down.  She attacked me from behind, she has this list thing that thinks is going to get her somewhere in this federation…

Ben Jordan:  She called me a toad..

That comment makes Sam pause in her rant and to stare at Ben.

Sam Marlowe:  She WHAT!?!

Ben Jordan:  A toad.  All because I mentioned that she shouldn’t get me started on attacking you.  Come to think of it, she mentioned something about being a muscle bound toad if I’m being honest.

Sam can’t believe what she is hearing as she moves closer to Ben and points a finger into his chest lightly a teasing smile beginning to creep over her face.

Sam Marlowe:  That tears it.  Attacking me is one thing but calling you a toad…she’s gotta pay!

The pair shares a laugh before Sam moves in and gives Ben a kiss on the cheek.

Sam Marlowe:  Thanks for the solid darlin’ and now I gotta get me to a meetin’ of the bombshells.  I may see y’all later before my flight home.  If not, you know you have a place to stay in Vegas but I have to head to Houston on Tuesday so you won’t be able to get in.

Ben shakes his head as the two of them begin to walk towards the bombshells locker room.

Ben Jordan:  That won’t be needed, think I am going to be taking a wander around Cali this week.

Sam stops outside of the room and gives Ben a pat on the back.

Sam Marlowe:  Then I will see you next week at Climax Control.  Stay safe.

The pair separates as Sam moves inside the locker room and Ben turns to head down the hallway.

Diary entry continued:

After the Bombshells meeting broke up, I headed home to relax and get ready to head back to Houston.  Now most people know I am wrestling but little did you know that since I was in high school I have been working for my father.  Normally I telework from my house in Vegas but Daddy said I needed to come to Houston so went…I should have known to talk to him first.

Flying into Houston was only going to be a one night affair thought Sam as she sat at her desk in her father’s offices.  Resting her head on her hands, she stared out at the cityscape of her home town.  A knock at the door got her attention as she swung around to find Cyn leaning against the doorway.  Quickly turning back, Sam tries to figure out some form of escape.

Cyn Marlowe:  Sam, look at you here in Houston.  Are you here long?

Cyn’s smile was enough to make Sam wince.  Sam shakes her head negatively.

Sam Marlowe:  I’m only here overnight then I am heading back to Vegas in the morning.

Cyn moves into the room and sits on the edge of Sam’s desk.  She looks down at her sister with a smile as she leans closer.

Cyn Marlowe:  Then the two of us need to go out tonight.  And you would be so much of a help if you would come out for a double date with me and my fiancé who has a friend from college that needs a date.  And since you are single, you could be his date.

Sam looks at her sister, a denial on her lips but before she can say anything, Cyn gets to her feet and moves out of the office.  Sam lets her head fall into her hands as Cyn leans back into the room.

Cyn Marlowe:  Come on home Sam, we don’t have too long to get you ready for tonight.  After all, you probably didn’t bring anything to wear.

Sam slowly gets to her feet, grumbling slightly.

Sam Marlowe:  I wasn’t expecting to be going out tonight Cyn.

Two hours later, Cyn is walking along the hallway of the Marlowe house dressed in a tight red dress.  Lounging nearby, her fiancé and his friend are wearing button down shirts with dark jeans.  The two men share a look then turn to Cyn who smiles and motions toward the stairs.

Cyn Marlowe:  She’ll be down soon I am sure.

Curtis :  You told her about me?

Cyn Marlowe:  I told her that she would be your date tonight.  Now don’t you worry, she understands about tonight.

Curtis smiles as he raises the old fashioned glass filled with an amber liquid.  Suddenly, the sound of heels on stairs can be heard.  The three of them look up to find Sam coming down the stairs dressed in a black dress that is skin tight.  With her hair curling around her shoulders, she half smiles at the group as she holds out a hand towards the man standing near the stair that she guesses is her date.

Sam Marlowe:  Hi, I’m Sam.  Cyn said you are friends with JD.

Curtis:  I’m Curtis Chase and yeah, I’m JD’s college buddy.

Cyn moves between Sam and Curtis and smiling she pulls them along towards the door.

Cyn Marlowe:  Let’s go you two.  You can be better acquainted in the car.

The four people head towards the car, Curtis putting his arm around Sam, his hand resting lightly on her hip.  They all get into the car with Curtis moving close to Sam, his hand resting near her leg on the seat.  Sam leans away slightly but can’t escape the touching caress of his fingers on her leg.  In the front seat, Cyn can see the look of anger crossing her sister’s face but quickly starts to talk.

Cyn Marlowe:  I don’t know if you know Curtis but Sam here is following in my footsteps and is wrestling in the company I used to.  She is doing somewhat okay aren’t you Sam?

Curtis turns an admiring look at Sam, his hand tapping on her knee then resting slightly higher.

Curtis:  So you are a wrestler are you?  Anything special?

Sam gently removes his hand and smiles as she crosses her legs away from his wandering hands.

Sam Marlowe:  Well this week I am in a six person tag match.  It is a match with the people that are the odds on favorites to be wrestling for the Roulette title.

He looks suitably impressed as Cyn’s eyeroll is hidden in the darkness of the front seat.

Sam Marlowe:  Yeah, so I am teaming with Traci Patterson and Jessie Salco and facing Veronica Taylor, Candy Overton and Kate Steele.  I’m looking forward to it.  I’ve teamed with Traci before and I have beaten both Candy and Veronica in single matches so the only unknowns for me are Jessie Salco and Kate Steele.

The short drive to the restaurant ends the conversation as JD is parking the car.  Once stopped, the two couples move towards the building, Curtis once again placing his arm around Sam, his hand this time resting just on her ass.  Sam tries to speed up to escape the warm grasp but Curtis keeps pace.  JD holds open the door and winks at his friend who guides Sam inside with slight pressure of his hand on her rear.

Once inside, Sam rushes to follow the waitress who leads them towards their table.  Curtis hold out her seat and helps her sit down, his hands on either side of the chair, fingers brushing against her ribs as he pushes her into the table.  The conversation turns to what they would like to order.  For the next little while, the conversation at the table turns to Cyn and her engagement and the future plans for the wedding.  As they eat, Curtis seems on his best behaviour which makes Sam relax more.

A couple of hours later, Sam is standing at a bar, one hand on the frosted glass of her drink as she softly moves along with the loud country music playing.  Near her, Curtis is leaning toward her, his cheek near her ear as he leans into Sam, his body rubbing lightly against her.  At her look of anger, he shrugs and leans into her to raises his voice and blame it on wanting to dance with her.  Motioning to the dance floor, Curtis mouths the word dance.

Sam Marlowe:  You know, you are getting pretty handy Curtis.  Listen, I ain’t that kinda girl you know.

Curtis:  Oh really, that isn’t what I was thinking.  Look at you, dressed that way and being a wrestler and all that.  If you ask me, I think you are just playing hard to get tonight Sammi.  Why don’t you and I head back to my hotel room and you can show me a couple of wrestling moves.

As he makes the offer, Curtis once more rubs against Sam’s hip, his hand caressing her rear.  With an angry glare, Sam moves slightly and with a smile puts her hands onto the shoulders of Curtis who smirks and leans down for what he thinks is going to be a kiss but gasps and gags as Sam brings her knee up between his legs then pushes him away.  Turning away from the now angry Curtis, Sam moves to find Cyn and pulls her aside.

Sam Marlowe:  Okay, if I had known you were setting me up for a date with Handy Manny I would have said no before tonight.  And after having to fight him off all night, I’m done.

Cyn Marlowe:  What do you mean you are done?  Where are you going?

Sam Marlowe:  I am going home and don’t try to stop me.

Sam moves quickly away from Cyn and heads towards the door.  Walking outside, she looks around for a cab then waves a taxi down and climbs inside.  The last thing Sam can see is Cyn coming out of the bar with JD who is helping a bent over Curtis.  Sam doesn’t even wave as the taxi pulls away.

Diary entry continued

I didn’t even stop to spend the night because I wasn’t going to listen to Cyn give me trouble for defending myself from Mr. Handy.  I flew home that night and spent the next couple of days getting ready for Climax Control.

Here it is, Friday morning and I have decided that I am going to not be at the mercy of lack of transportation in Azusa.  I am about to pack up my own car and drive out to Climax Control.  Wish me luck.

The image of Sam Marlowe can be seen behind the wheel of a car, the background the rushing by of scenery on I-15 highway.  A small red dot indicating that the video is recording can be seen in the lower right hand corner as Sam begins to speak.

Sam Marlowe:  Here I am on the road heading towards Azusa California and Climax Control where I am in a six bombshell tag match.  Now I know I should be training and trust me I will be once I get to Azusa but for now I am taking the time myself to relax and drive to Azusa where I can think and process what is going to be happening on Sunday.

Sam checks out her rearview mirror then turns back to what we now see is an ipad mini that had been set on a handsfree device to record her.

Sam Marlowe:  This week I have been put in a match that will have the bombshells that will be facing off for the Roulette title at the supercard.  So for this match I only have to really be worried about facing three of the other five and having to trust the other two.  But I am in a unique position in this match.  See two of the three people I have to face in this match are two people that I have beaten before.  One is Candy Overton who I have beaten in my very first match here in SinCity Wrestling.  Then there is Veronica Taylor who I have beaten multiple times before.  That means although I am taking them seriously, I am not so much worried about them either.

Sam gets a thoughtful look on her face, one hand leaving the wheel to tap on nose.

Sam Marlowe:  I think that the one factor that has me worried is Kate Steele.  See she is an unknown quantity to me because I haven’t ever faced her before so I don’t exactly know just how good she might be.  I mean I am confident but again, she is someone that I haven’t faced and that makes her the possible spoiler for this tag match.  Since we haven’t faced each other in a match, I don’t know how I am going to get along with her in a fight.  I guess I will find out in Azusa.

Sam nods and shrugs before beginning to smile a little into the camera.

Sam Marlowe:  And then we have my tag partners this week that will be my opponents at the super card.  For this match, I am going to have to trust Traci Patterson and Jessie Salco.  And I think that I will be able to trust them this week but then what ever happens after the match, as much as I respect them, the trust and faith that they will have from me as a partner will be slightly less trusting as we head towards the supercard.  Let me say right here and now though, Jessie and Traci, you can trust me not to let you down and not to walk out on you in this match.

She reaches out towards the ipad with one hand stopping her finger just before she pushes stop.

Sam Marlowe:  Good luck ladies, I will see you in Azusa for Climax Control.

As she says that, her finger presses the camera view to show her approaching the Azusa city limits sign.  The final image that appears is the skyline of Azusa before the feed goes to snow.
