Sitting on the bed in the bedroom she shares with her two wives, Christina "Crystal Hilton" Zdunich and Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell, Seleana Zdunich scans over pictures of the family construction project. The rebuild of the Hollywood Hills house was proceeding smoothly. It would not be quick but it would return their home to its former glory proving that was what everyone wanted.

Most had agreed that was what was best, especially for the children.

Seleana and Alexandra were in agreement on the idea almost immediately. Christina had gone along with it once she'd made two other ideas known right away.

The first was just looking for another, bigger house to show off the combined star power of all three of them now. Both Seleana and Alexandra had thought about it knowing full well that Christina was likely to push for more and more because it was one of the things she tended to do. She liked to be flashy and make big, grandiose gestures for things. It was how both Seleana's vehicle and the zoo had happened.

The second was to build back but build it differently, bigger, more ostentatious, more grandiose, just more in general. Selena had smiled, shaking her head and almost laughing while Alexandra had done much the same. They had both known Christina would want to make a statement with the house.

A decision like this meant calls would need to be made and the children basically polled. Brittany and Brayden had both chimed in with ideas but had ultimately said they felt an attachment to the old house that overrode the family urge to make things bigger, better and crazier. Brittany's wife, Halo, had agreed with this sentiment. Brayden's new girlfriend, CRAVE, had as well since she had no real concept of what the house had really looked like anyway being relatively new to the area still. She really had no attachment one way or the other so anything was going to be bigger and better to her.

Aurora and Elijah had both been surprised to be consulted on anything, especially Elijah. This was a first for him. Before the adoption, Elijah had never had much of anything that was his, thus this had been an entirely new situation for him. Aurora had been poor, but her late birth mother had done her best to give her little girl what she could up until the day she rolled off this mortal coil. Both of them had voted for building it back as it had been because they had an intense emotional attachment to that house.

Seleana had simply smiled that the kids had just wanted their home back. Alexandra, too, had smiled at this idea. She knew what it was to have next to nothing and knew how much it meant to have something in that situation. Christina knew this herself as well and while she had been disappointed that no one wanted to go bigger, she had smiled in the end that her home had been so loved by those close to her.

As she looks at the pictures of the rubble being removed, Aurora and Elijah walk in and sit next to her on the bed.

Aurora Zdunich: Mommy, is it really happening?   

Seleana nods and shows the pictures on her phone.

Seleana Zdunich:  They have started the work.

Elijah, still looking timidly cautious about everything, allows himself to be slightly excited.

Elijah Zdunich: Really?

Nodding, Seleana smiles and emphasizes the photographic evidence.

Seleana Zdunich:  They are not fake. I have been there on-location multiple times. Halo has gone by a few times as well. B-Brat has herself. Things are proceeding as we had hoped.

Elijah smiles widely and hugs his mother tightly, Aurora smiling as well in kind.

Aurora Zdunich: It'll be nice to be home again, won't it, E?

Elijah nods against his mother's chest. Seleana hugs him tightly as well, while Aurora joins into the embrace.

Aurora Zdunich: Come on, E, let's go blow some stuff up.

She grins as Elijah pulls back, excited all over again.

Aurora Zdunich: I love you, Mommy.

Elijah Zdunich: Love you, Mom.

Seleana smiles for then.

Seleana Zdunich:  Ja? I love you too.

She nuzzles both of them just before they take off running out the door, flying past Alexandra and almost running her over as they hurry to play together. She grins at them and steps into thr bedroom, sitting down next to Seleana.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell: What's got them all revved up?.

Smiling, Seleana holds her phone forward.

Seleana Zdunich:  I show the pictures.

Alexndra smiles, nodding happily.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell: The rebuild?

Seleana shows the photos in question.

Seleana Zdunich:  I not showing the kids other photos. They do not need to see you and Christina like that.

Smirking knowingly, Alexandra chuckles.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell: No, we're not from Alabama like that.

Seleana snickers along with her.

Seleana Zdunich:  they will be excited enough seeing us as a team this weekend.

Alexandra's eyes flash.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell: That's gonna be fun.

Seleana nods her agreement.

Seleana Zdunich:  They will bring the heat to us. Cassie will want to beat me in more ways than one. Harper will be right there with her friend. They will see what they are doing as going for justice.

Alexndra shrugs.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell: Let them.

Seleana leans in and kisses her passionately.

Seleana Zdunich:  Jag älskar dig!

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell: I love you too!

Alexandra leans and they kiss again before going over the photos of the rebuild again.

She continues nodding as she turns to the side.

Seleana Zdunich:  I know Cassie will be angry with me.

Almost snickering, Seleana

Seleana Zdunich:  She has been angry with me since Stockholm and I admit, a mistake was made…

She nods and points to herself.

Seleana Zdunich:  By me.

She nods to herself, shaking her head in shame and embarrassment

Seleana Zdunich:  For what it is worth, I am sorry I hit you. My intention and my target was not you. I was trying to hit Mercedes…

She shakes her head at herself.

Seleana Zdunich:  I should not have even done that.

She jabs her finger into her chest.

Seleana Zdunich:  Jag var domaren. Det var mitt jobb att döma.

Looking away, Seleana exhales heavily.

Seleana Zdunich:  Alexandra and I have never teamed before. We are no Angels.

She takes a deep breath and blows it out again.

Seleana Zdunich:  Christina and I have had a few matches as the Hollywood Angels. Christina and Alex had several matches as a team called Blackout. My sister had a team called the Fallen Angels with her wife and our cousin, Maja.

She shakes her head.

Seleana Zdunich:  We are no Angels.

Seleana nods to herself and smiles.

Seleana Zdunich:  I am asked by many, how can I remain married to both Christina and Alex and i say, because I get to see Christiba and Alex…

She nods to her camera.

Seleana Zdunich:  You see Crystal and Diamond.

Shaking her head, Seleana glares into the camera. 

Seleana Zdunich:  They are not the same.

she cocks her head to the right, still glaring.

Seleana Zdunich:  I am not married to Crystal and Diamond.

She looks away, thinking about how many times she's already explained this knowing full well this will go in one ear and out the other on most people.

Seleana Zdunich:  But if you face them in the ring, you need to be ready for bad things.

She nods firmly.

Seleana Zdunich:  They will do anything and everything they deem necessary to win. They will do things I would not.

She shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich:  But they are not me.

She glares into the camera again.

Seleana Zdunich:  So we are no Angels.

She nods firmly.

Seleana Zdunich:  But we will see you on Sunday. We will bring everything we have.

She raises her right fist to the camera.

Seleana Zdunich:  You had better do the same.

Seleana Zdunich had been trying to make her children, Aurora and Elijah, feel more secure since the destruction of the family home in the Hollywood Hills. She knew Aurora would likely be alright because she’d seen the apartment in Las Vegas as her home for longer because it was where she’d been for her cancer treatments.

Elijah was a different story entirely and she knew it.

Elijah had never really had any stability until his adoption and now that had gone away as well. Seleana knew this was an important time with Elijah. As she packs for her coming flight, she nods to him.

Seleana Zdunich: This trip will be exciting, ja?

Elijah barely shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich: We will enjoy Iceland, I am certain.

Elijah looks up with shock in his eyes.

Elijah Zdunich: We will?

Seleana nods happily.

Seleana Zdunich: You and Aurora are coming as well. Since we started homeschooling you for right now, there is no reason you should not come on this tour. We will be going many places with backgrounds that match mine. We will probably even see my parents in Sweden.

Elijah’s eyes go wide with excitement.

Elijah Zdunich: We’re gonna see Grandma and Grandpa?

Seleana nods.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, they are excited to see you and Aurora.

Elijah almost starts shaking where he stands.

Elijah Zdunich: Does she know?

Seleana shakes her head.

Seleana Zdunich: You can tell her if you like, ja?

Elijah scampers away excitedly.

Elijah Zdunich: Rori!  Rori!

Seleana smiles as Elijah disappears looking for his sister. The two kids come back into the room a few seconds later.

Aurora Zdunich: Mommy, is this true?

Seleana looks at her daughter.

Seleana Zdunich: Is what true?

Aurora points at Elijah.

Aurora Zdunich: E says we’re going on this trip with you and we’re gonna see Grandma and Grandpa?

Seleana nods.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, it is the truth.

Aurora light up and starts jumping excitedly with Elijah.

Aurora Zdunich: We’re going with Mommy! We’re going with Mommy! We’re going with Mommy!

Elijah Zdunich: We’re going with Mommy! We’re going with Mommy! We’re going with Mommy!

Seleana nods.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja and we will enjoy this.

The camera opens on Seleana Zdunich standing in her living room in the Las Vegas apartment, smiling and ready for the coming trip.

Seleana Zdunich: Reykjavík, Iceland

She nods happily.

Seleana Zdunich: Laugardalshöll Arena.

She nods again.

Seleana Zdunich: Bella Madison and I will meet in the ring with Fenris as the special referee.

She smiles just at the thought of this visual.

Seleana Zdunich: So we start the Viking Tour with the two vikings both in the ring.

Shrugging slightly, Seleana

Seleana Zdunich: Granted, Fenris will get a bigger reaction than either Bella or I will in this location.

She nods in acknowledgment.

Seleana Zdunich: You deserve it, ja?

She smiles and nods again.

Seleana Zdunich: Bella and I have met before. She is a great champion and I will enjoy meeting her in the ring again.


She nods off screen.

Seleana Zdunich: I am bringing my children on this tour and they will be there to see us show the world how this should be. I look forward to competing with you, Bella. I look forward to how this will likely go. 

Two voices come from just off-camera.

Aurora Zdunich: Mommy’s gonna be great because she is and that’s just how it’s gonna be!

Elijah Zdunich: Is it always  good shoes?

Aurora Zdunich: Always.

Elijah Zdunich: Go, Mommy, go!

Seleana can’t help but smile.

Seleana Zdunich: I am so going to enjoy this trip.

She nods to the kids off-camera.

Seleana Zdunich: It will be glorious.

It had been over a month since Seleana Zdunich had encountered the small boy at the zoo that had openly spoken about his home life. Seleana had spoken to her wives about it and had it looked into. Now she was following up with the agency via zoom call.

Seleana Zdunich: Heya, Emily, how’s it?

Agent Emily Hodge smiles at Seleana

Agent Emily Hodge: Hey, Seleana. I’m pulling every string I can think of to try and help that poor baby. Everyone I’ve talked to would be happy with the move. It’s just a matter of the legal red tape. The fact that there are many adults that would be involved in this child’s life and how well you have done with Aurora, are check marks in your favor.

Seleana nods as if she knows bad news is coming.

Seleana Zdunich: What is against us?

The agent sighs.

Agent Emily Hodge: I won’t lie, your wife’s substance use history is troubling. It raises several questions with her since it’s happened more than once and with more than one substance. I think it should be in her favor that she has overcome that and that you and Alexandra do not have that history at all is a major plus.

Seleana nods.

Seleana Zdunich: What more must we do?

Agent Hodge shrugs.

Agent Emily Hodge: Christina will probably have to pass drug tests.

She nods pointedly.

Agent Emily Hodge: Plural.

Seleana nods quietly.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, we knew that would be coming. Alexandra and I have volunteered to prove we are clean as well.

Agent Hodge nods brightly.

Agent Emily Hodge: That’s good, it’ll score you points. I think what else will score you points is both your financial situation and the fact that the birth parents and in fact, the birth family is not involved at all. We’ve had investigators looking for them all over. So far, everything we’ve found has either said they were dead or not in  position to be eligible to stand in your way. This honestly looks like it’s a formality aside from the drug tests.

Seleana nods slowly.

Seleana Zdunich: Christina has been diligent in her care program. My sister is her sponsor. She and her wife work with many people to help them.

The agent nods in happy agreement.

Agent Emily Hodge: They have children as well, right?

Seleana nods affirmatively.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, they have four.

Seleana can’t help but smile brightly at the thought of her small nieces.

Seleana Zdunich: They are so cute. They will turn one in October.

The Agent nods in kind.

Agent Emily Hodge: Aw!  They must be adorable!

Seleana nods again.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, this is the truth. It is beautiful watching them put everything aside for them. Zenna only wrestles in one company. Linnea works only as a counselor. Alissa and Kelly even did the same. They have cousins who came in to make sure they were not overwhelmed with the four.

Agent Hodge nods, visibly impressed.

Agent Emily Hodge: The band?

Seleana shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich: They found they can work around the schedule, especially since Katra has her own in-home studio in New jersey. She has three adopted children now as well, all teenagers. They are wonderful girls as well. They were all at risk and went through a program to help them. I’m so proud of them. Emileigh plays beautiful piano. Violet sings and Iris plays back-up to her to help her confidence.

Agent Hodge nods again.

ARH: That family track record should help you as well. If it was just up to me, you’d have him right now.

Seleana smiles warmly.

Seleana Zdunich: Thank you, Emily. I hope to help in any way I can even on this tour.

The agent can’t help but smile.

Agent Emily Hodge: You’re a good one, Seleana,  I will help you in any way I can.

Seleana Zdunich: Tack, Emily.

The call ends and Seleana stares at her phone with a photo of Aurora and Elijah together.

Seleana Zdunich: Snart, små. Vi ska bli en familj.

The camera opens upon Seleana Zdunich standing in the main hallway of her hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, dressed in jeans, a black American Murder Log t-shirt with the first album cover with the shot of a group of hungry alligators on it. 

Seleana Zdunich: Kayla Richards…

She looks off to the right.

Seleana Zdunich: The Dreamkiller…

She snickers to herself as if she knows that’s not just a cool nickname.

Seleana Zdunich: Holder of Two Titles in SCW…

She nods slowly before looking back to the camera.

Seleana Zdunich: So many nicknames it is like a rerun of Star Trek TNG…

She shrugs playfully.

Seleana Zdunich: Or just keeping track of how many last names my wife has used, ja? 

Looking straight on, Seleana moves so that she’s staring the lens dead on.

Seleana Zdunich: But you are the current SCW Bombshell World Champion and have been for a good long while. In five months’ time, you have successfully eradicated the idea that anyone else can be a top champion here unless you say so, ja?

She waves her hand through the shot.

Seleana Zdunich: Add that to the eleven months you have been Mixed Tag Team Champion and it means you have owned things in SCW. There are no hens to be made out of feathers with you and your championships and your reigns. They are real and they stack up to allow you to say you are number one and number two is far beneath you that there really is no number two, just everyone else.

She nods slowly, pointing to herself she does so. .

Seleana Zdunich: And I am not too proud to admit I am of that number.

She cocks her head as if to reinforce a point.

Seleana Zdunich: The last time anyone could truly say they were better than you was a year ago when you lost the Women’s Internet Championship on your second reign and if we’re honest, it should really be seen as one long reign because you were only not champion for three weeks. For all to see, it would appear you lost and simply moved on because you decided the Internet Championship had outlived its usefulness to you.

Shaking her head sadly, Seleana looks down slightly.

Seleana Zdunich: You had established your name in SCW as it had been in every other company you had been with previously and now it was time to add to it. Now it was time to show everyone the Dreamkiller. Show everyone that their dreams of being number one, their dreams of being the top woman in SCW, their dream of being a champion… are dead…

She looks back up into the camera.

Seleana Zdunich: Not only are they dead, but you killed them, ja?

She nods, conceding the point.

Seleana Zdunich: So you have lived up to the hype. You have lived up to who you said you were. I remember you said it years ago in Hybrid Wrestling and you would laugh because of how we both ended up there. You were World Champion and I got fired for telling the boss I would not do something.

She smirks knowingly.

Seleana Zdunich: You were the Dreamkiller and I was…

Seleana shrugs as if the next point is obvious and common knowledge.

Seleana Zdunich: Ingenting…

She grins before translating the word.

Seleana Zdunich: Nothing. 

She nods as if she knows something everyone watching does not, or at least does not want to admit.

Seleana Zdunich: But here is the upside to my being nothing Kayla.

She grins wickedly.

Seleana Zdunich: You cannot be the Dreammkiller for me.

She nods, pointing to herself again.

Seleana Zdunich: I have been a champion in SCW. I have been the Bombshell World Champion. You cannot kill any of my dreams because they have already happened.

She shrugs, still pointing to herself in the chest.

Seleana Zdunich: I am nothing so I have nothing for you to kill, Kayla. If you win, you will have killed no dreams. You will still be a champion but you will not add me as a notch on your Dreamkiller belt because you can’t kill me. You never could and you never will.

He nods again, reinforcing the point yet again.

Seleana Zdunich: I have been champion, Kayla and I have told you before that I was coming for you. My dream is still and has always been to get my hands on you. This Sunday in Bangkok, my dream comes true and you cannot kill that.

She smiles sweetly, genuinely.

Seleana Zdunich: That is all I want for this trip to Bangkok and I get it no matter what I do and no matter what you do. We walk to that ring and my dream comes true.

She pumps her fist in celebration.

Seleana Zdunich: Sweet as!

The smile only grows in intensity as she cocks her head to the left.

Seleana Zdunich: So what will you do, Dreammkiller, when you cannot be the Dreamkiller with me?

Her hands come together as if begging for an actual answer to the question.

Seleana Zdunich: What will you do when what you love most cannot happen with me?

She smirks, knowing full well there really is no answer.

Seleana sits on her bed and stares at her home, a smile breaking out across her face. She scrolls across message after message from her friends and family.  As she goes through them all, her wife, Alexandra “Diamond” Caldwell, walks into the room with a smile on her face.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: Got a few?

Seleana looks up and smiles brightly.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja…

Diamond grins.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: How many?

Seleana frowns and then looks back at the list of them again.

Seleana Zdunich: Kattunge, Olive, Adri, Shenzi, Li, Chavy, Lis, Jenni, Emi, Violet, Iris, Stacy, Kelly, Storm, Varghona, Priest, Little Scarlett, Amber, JSP, EIP, EDP, Raevyn, Monster Scarlett, Bethy, Ash, Nik, Jezzy…

Diamond nods, interrupting her.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: So, a few…

Seleana nods.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja. 

Diamond smiles, walks over and kisses her wife.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: Happy birthday, Baby. I love you.

Seleana smiles.

Seleana Zdunich: I love you, too.

She stands up and heads to the shower while Diamond retrieves what she came into the room for and takes her leave. Fifteen minutes later, Seleana comes downstairs where her daughter, thirteen-year-old Aurora, runs over to her and clasps onto the Swedish woman as if she’s never going to let go.

Aurora Zdunich: I love you, Mommy, happy birthday!

Seleana hugs her back, kissing the top of her head.

Seleana Zdunich: Jag älskar dig älskling!

Diamond and Christina both come walking over and join in the family hug.

Christina "Crystal Hilton" Zdunich-Caldwell: I love you, Babe! Happy birthday!

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: Happy birthday again. I love you!

Seleana stands there loving the feeling of being in the familial embrace and taking in all  the love.

Seleana Zdunich: Jag älskar er alla så mycket!

She pauses as the feelings wash over her.

Seleana Zdunich: I love you all!

The four of them stand there for a second before the silence is finally broken by Aurora.

Aurora Zdunich: So what are we doing for your birthday?

Seleana opens her eyes and smiles, seeing them here together making her feel so happy she really has no answer.

Seleana Zdunich: I…

Aurora giggles.

Aurora Zdunich: HayJo and Brit’ll be here soon, should we ask them?

Seleana’s smile somehow brightens even more than it already was.

Seleana Zdunich: Christina has no plans?

Diamond can’t help but smirk as Christina starts to hem and haw.

Christina "Crystal Hilton" Zdunich-Caldwell: I... I… was going to but we all decided it would be better to have you decide.

Seleana looks at Christina, touched and impressed.

Seleana Zdunich: Really?

Christina nods and Seleana stands there for a second in shock.

Seleana Zdunich: I am… surprised.

Just then, the aforementioned Haylie Jo “Halo” Annis and her wife, Brittany Williams, walk into the room.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Mama Chrys has her moments like that.

Halo leans in and hugs Seleana.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Love you, Mama Sel, happy birthday!

Seleana smiles as Brittany does the same.

Brittany Williams: Happy birthday, Mama!

Seleana beams with loving pride.

Seleana Zdunich: Tack… I love you both!

Halo grins.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Come, y’all, let's go make Mama Sel breakfast and then she can figure out what she wants to do for her day. 

Brittany and Aurora nod and follow Halo into the kitchen while Seleana, Diamond and Christina sit down on the couch.

Seleana Zdunich: Everybody being here is already the best present.

Diamond and Christina both smile back and hug her again.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: We love you, Baby. We had to find you something special.

Christina "Crystal Hilton" Zdunich-Caldwell: You know us.

Seleana nods happily.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, I do.

She sits back with her wives, excited for what the day will bring.

Seleana Zdunich: It is my birthday and I am getting ready to go out for dinner with my family before we have to go to our respective work commitments.

She nods.

Seleana Zdunich: Halo has to go to the South somewhere. Diamond is required in Chicago. Christina is required in Chicago and then Colorado Springs…

She pauses, looking down at her feet.

Seleana Zdunich: It is funny, ja? Colorado Springs means I will face somebody I have faced several times before.

She nods to herself.

Seleana Zdunich: Someone that I have gone to war against for the biggest prize in SCW multiple times. Someone I had earned the respect of…

She sighs heavily.

Seleana Zdunich: Then this match was announced and…

Pausing again, seleana

Seleana Zdunich: Alicia Lukas is a woman who has earned her place in the conversation for greatest female competitor in SCW history. When she first arrived here, she was unstoppable. She was the lioness who could rightfully call herself the Queen of the Kill. No one stood her equal for a very long time…

She looks up into the camera.

Seleana Zdunich: And I defeated her for the SCW Bombshells World Championship.

Looking back down for a moment, Seleana nods to herself in acknowledgement before looking back into the camera.

Seleana Zdunich: When I lost it back to her, I came back again…

She nod more forcefully again.

Seleana Zdunich: And again.

She nods and points to herself in the chest.

Seleana Zdunich: She beat me and the whole world hoped that would be the end of me and yet, it was not my one and only moment of note, ja?

She shakes her head.

Seleana Zdunich: I kept coming back until I got another opportunity and I cash that in as well.

Glaring harshly into the camera, Seleana cocks her head to the left ever so slightly,

Seleana Zdunich: Now, some still think I should be done and I am nothing and easily dismissed.

She shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich: I will just have to show you all again…

She nods and looks back to the floor.

Seleana Zdunich: But Alicia Lukas lost the championship and then took some time off.

Seleana nods to herself.

Seleana Zdunich: When this match was announced she called me a shell of my former self…

She shrugs and looks up into the camera once again.

Seleana Zdunich: I am still here, taking my lumps and moving forward.

She nods and then points accusingly.

Seleana Zdunich: You, on the other hand, took some lumps and instead of using it for your tea, took your ball and went home because you were the shell of your former self.

Seleana stares into the camera disappointment, sadness and a hint of disgust in her eyes.

Seleana Zdunich: You were the unstoppable force that no one could hang with. You were the top of the food chain, the Lioness that ruled whatever place you chose to call home. When I won our match, you came back in the next one and took it back.

She cocks her head again.

Seleana Zdunich: Then you lose and…

She shakes her head.   

Seleana Zdunich: You were shook as over it. You take ball and go home and now you call ME the shell of former self?

She grits her teeth in a seething anger.

Seleana Zdunich: I have taken lumps that would make you quit, retire and be ashamed to show your face but I am still here. Today is my birthday and I am now at an age where others will tell me I should go home. I had a better run that I had any right to expat, ja?

She shakes her head.

Seleana Zdunich: I am not going anywhere. I will celebrate my birthday weekend with a match with you and I will keep coming back after no matter what. I will come back again… and again… and again…

She stands up.

Seleana Zdunich: I will keep coming back until I make you all sick of me and then I will come back again!

She nods angrily into the camera.

Seleana Zdunich: And I ask you, Alicia, if I am a shell, what does that make you if you lose to me?

She shrugs almost nonchalantly.

Seleana Zdunich: Win, great, you beat nothing and you won nothing. You prove nothing. Lose…

Seleana almost laughs.

Seleana Zdunich: Then we compare our shells together, ja?

Seleana Zdunich looks around the room and shakes her head at how empty the clubhouse seems to be. As she frowns in confusion, her daughter-in-law, Charter Vice President Haylie Jo “Halo” Annis appears and smiles at her mother-in-law. Seleana smiles and waves a hand to indicate all the space around them.

Seleana Zdunich:  Where is this lot? They are usually crawling, ja?

Halo nods in agreement if not a little amusement.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Doc is at work at her clinic gig. She took one of the prospects with her to provide a little security, pretty sure it was Lassindra. I think Tory went with them too. Rocket and DeeKay are downstairs looking at stuff for upcoming fight nights.

Halo allows herself a momentary snicker.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Knowing Rocket, she's probably trying to think of ways of talking Mei fighting or at least helping with the talent. Woman loves watching Mei work.

Another smile crosses Halo’s face as she thinks of how Rocket looks at Mei, amused at how touching it is and how visibly apparent the love between them is. 

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Tanya, Maria and Katya are with Stoyo at the tat studio, I think they were meeting somebody there but, no big deal. The Warbirds, Cuervo, Jane and Chi Chi have the other prospects down in the gym. Chi Chi likes running through training just to fuck with B-Brat and D-Dub because they both tend to annoy her.

She pauses, smirking playfully.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Mostly B-Brat, D-Dub is really just to make it look like Cheech isn’t singling anybody out. Lucy and Key have been catching up some because of residual heat left over from Coneja. 

Seleana nods understandingly. “Coneja” was her other daughter-in-law, Sofia Hilton, wife of Brayden Hilton, the twin brother of the woman married to Halo, Brittany “B-Brat” Williams. She had spent time as a prospect in the San Clemente charter right next to her own sister, Ravenna “Cuervo” Rojas, as well as B-Brat, and it had not ended well. Sofia had not taken well to the MC’s hierarchy and how she was not near the top and she did not take well to being given orders to follow feeling the menial tasks were beneath her. Sofia saw herself as different and above and thus had departed the MC to take spots elsewhere with what she saw as greater chances of advancement to being a shotcaller, something she knew was not likely to happen with the Shieldmaidens and definitely not in San Clemente.

Seleana Zdunich:  Ja, she was too close to T-Will’s vision of things, I think. That would not mesh well with the Maidens, ja.

Halo can’t nod her agreement fast enough. 

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: The drug empire was seemingly calling to her.

She pauses and looks down in shame.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if she was the one…

Trailing off, Halo looks away. Seleana

Seleana Zdunich:  If she was the one?

Halo nods almost absently.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: That was supplying Mama Chrys.

Halo looks back at her mother-in-law.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: I didn’t ask B-Brat about it because I know she and Sofia don’t get along and…

She trails off, uncertain where her thought really was going. Seleana shrugs almost nonchalantly.

Seleana Zdunich:  She would not have believed. Brittany would never have believed her brother capable of such things even if presented with clear evidence.

Halo frowns.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Sofia…

Seleana nods slowly.

Seleana Zdunich:  Ja, but neither Sofia nor Christina are that good at hiding things for long periods of time. Brayden would have known early so either he would have been required to be in on it with his wife or he would have had to overlook such things intentionally. Brittany would never have believed him capable of either where their mother is concerned.

Halo almost laughs.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Even though he has done things to ehr own mother for money before herself?

Seleana nods sadly.

Seleana Zdunich:  Brittany always changes her mind in time. Brayden does as well. Sofia has no attachment to her that way. All she sees is a woman that enjoys money and a grandchild. Brittany would have jumped to conclusions no matter where it led her.

Halo stares at Seleana in shock.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: You say this like you already thought she did this…

Seleana shrugs as if the answer is obvious.

Seleana Zdunich:  Christina’s relapse coincided with Sofia and Brayden being brought into T-Will’s business world. It would make sense to try her hand at it with somebody she sees as often as she saw Christina at the time. The only surprise would be if she did not discuss it with others she thought could help her with that business. She was not upset at being asked to leave the Shieldmaidens the way someone usually is. I would hypothesize that she already knew she would leave because she believed she would get more in T-Will’s world than yours, especially given how unpopular she became.

Halo shrugs.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: This is true, personally, professionally in wrestling, in football, in the Maidens…

Seleana Zdunich:  Ja and now?

She shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich:  Who knows what she will do to achieve whatever it is she think she deserves.     

Halo nods slightly.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: This means it’s fuckin good she ain’t goin’ to Normandy with you, right?

Seleana nods, chuckling to herself.

Seleana Zdunich:  There are enough things to not look forward to encountering in Normandy without adding her to the list. I have to fight Krystal Wolfe again there…

Halo smirks.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Have fun stormin’ the beaches.

Seleana smirks playfully back at her daughter-in-law.

Seleana Zdunich:  Ja, sweet as.

The camera opens upon Seleana Zdunich standing along the beach, staring out into the water. 

Seleana Zdunich:  We are ready, ja?

She looks over to the camera and smiles.

Seleana Zdunich:  We come to a place that should be considered holy ground. The beaches of Normandy have seen such things that we should all consider ourselves fortunate to be allowed to walk amongst the sands that remain.

She looks back out over the waters again and takes in the scene before her.

Seleana Zdunich:  Krystal Wolfe and I will engage in a struggle and I will…

She trails off still looking out over the water.

Seleana Zdunich:  I will wonder…

Shaking her head in disgust, Seleana sighs heavily.

Seleana Zdunich:  I will wonder why everyone else, including Krystal, seems to bent on playing the victim so much?

She looks back into the camera, still shaking her head at the thought.

Seleana Zdunich:  Why do they all whine no matter what they have accomplished? 

Looking back at the water, Seleana’s face becomes almost impassive.

Seleana Zdunich:  Krystal whined before she made a fitta of herself. She whined after and she whined after she tried to claim redemption for making  fitta of herself.

She looks down, allowing her gaze to drift to the sand beneath her feet.

Seleana Zdunich:  Whiny and entitled…

Her gaze drifts back up to the water.

Seleana Zdunich:  So many, including and especially Krystal  seem to think that just because they draw breath that everything should automatically be handed to them.

Seleana turns to glare into the camera.

Seleana Zdunich:  You make such hens out of feathers!

She turns to swing her hands to the right.

Seleana Zdunich:  I win this championship but not this championship.

She swings back the other way.

Seleana Zdunich:  I get this opportunity but not this opportunity.

Looking back into the camera, Seleana points to herself.

Seleana Zdunich:  I do not want to hear it anymore. All you all ever do is whine that you get no recognition or you are kept from what you deserve but almost none of you give anyone else any yourself. Well, if you are not willing to give to anyone else, why should anyone give any to you?

The point moves but the glare does not.

Seleana Zdunich:  Din jävla idiot!

She looks away, shaking her head in disgust again.

Seleana Zdunich:  I hate when hens are made of feathers! 

She looks back into the camera.

Seleana Zdunich:  We storm the beaches of Normandy and yet you show such blatant disrespect! If you continue this, you will not deserve to be allowed into the ring!

Looking away, Seleana starts to walk out of the shot.

The warehouse the gym was inside of was massive and filled with every kind of workout equipment imaginable as well as four wrestling rings and even a practice MMA fighting cage. Having seen it many times and being invited to try it out several times, Seleana Zdunich had come here looking to vary her workouts leading to her golden opportunity of facing the champion, Julianna DiMaria on Sunday.

As she walks over to a heavy bag, Seleana starts pounding away, hammering at it with her taped fists.

Seleana Zdunich: Skit också!

She curses at herself for not bringing fight gloves of any kind and just continues to punch away.

Seleana Zdunich: Du skiter i det blå skåpet, Julianna!

She pounds on the bag as if she can see Julianna’s face in front of her and just hits it again and again and again.

Seleana Zdunich: Du gjorde höns av fjädrar, din jävla fitta!

Her punches get harder and nastier with every shot.

Seleana Zdunich: Det här är min jakt! Jag ska dra ut mitt pund kött!

As she continues on hitting the bag, she never notices the second woman who walks into the gym in a pair of workout pants and a sports bra under her Shieldmaidens kutte. The second woman watches as Seleana works over the bag for a minute before nodding to herself.

Woman: You’re Halo’s mother-in-law right?

Seleana turns, both startled by the sudden second voice and a lack of immediate recognition. It takes a second to register what was just asked but as it does, Seleana nods apologetically.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja…

She look at the woman, frowning momentarily.

Seleana Zdunich: How…?

The woman smiles.

Woman: Did I know?

Seleana nods.

Woman: We don’t hear much Swedish in here, much less somebody cursing the back out in it like that. I figured, the only Swedish woman any of us knows is Halo’s mother-in-law so I figured, that must be you.

Seleana nods and the woman walks over, extending her hand.

Woman: Cori Bayne… call me Doc.

Seleana nods, accepting the handshake.

Seleana Zdunich: Seleana Zdunich.

Doc smiles welcomingly.

Cori "Doc" Bayne: You got a fight this weekend?

Seleana nods.

Seleana Zdunich: Julianna DiMaria.

Doc whistles at the name.

Cori "Doc" Bayne: Big match.

Seleana nods again.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, I was just looking for a way to vary my preparation.

Doc nods knowingly.

Cori "Doc" Bayne: Good plan. I was just coming in from work. It’s only five minutes away so I just figured it was a good way to get ready for the fights this weekend here. I might just get to throw down myself.

Seleana nods knowingly. She knew the Maidens hosted fight night in their venus called the Palladium nearby.

Seleana Zdunich: I thought…
 
She frowns.
 
Seleana Zdunich: You do not work in San Diego?

Doc shakes her head.

Cori "Doc" Bayne: I work a couple days a week at a local clinic here in San Clemente and I work at the Palladium on most fight nights.

Seleana nods slowly as she takes in the sight of the well-built tattooed blonde woman. 

Seleana Zdunich: You fight as well.

Doc nods.

Cori "Doc" Bayne: Some, usually I’m the on-call doctor.

Seleana nods.

Seleana Zdunich: You want to work with me then? I could use the help, ja?

Doc smiles and nods.

Cori "Doc" Bayne: Love to.

Do walks over and takes up position, holding the bag as Seleana gets ready to rain punches again.

Seleana Zdunich: Det här är mitt gyllene tillfälle, Julianna och jag ska göra det rika!

Doc can’t help but grin at the words.

Cori "Doc" Bayne: With punches like that, I have no doubt! 

Seleana nod and continues to fire off, Doc giving her pointers every so often to make them hit more precisely and harder as they go.

The camera opens upon Seleana Zdunich standing by a sidewalk that leads into the building that houses the main officers and the entrances for the Zdunich Zoological Gardens.

Seleana Zdunich: So we finally meet in the ring, Julianna, ja?

She nods as if the answer is obvious.

Seleana Zdunich: The funny part of this to me is that now we get to see two opposing thoughts of yours collide. On the one hand, you think I am old, obsolete and beneath you and thus this match is both unnecessary and a waste of your time. On the other, it was you that said my name and picked this fight so you obviously wanted it on some level.

She pauses and grins.

Seleana Zdunich: Which will win, I wonder?

A playful smirk adds to the sense of wonder going on here.

Seleana Zdunich: Eh, as you would likely say, it does not matter, ja?

She nods knowingly.

Seleana Zdunich: Thi is a Golden Opportunity match. If I win, I get you again for the championship which several former champions can attest…

Almost laughing, she points to herself knowingly.

Seleana Zdunich: I only need one chance with the championship on the line.

A knowing and almost playful smile comes over her face.

Seleana Zdunich: I am certain there are those, yourself likely included, who will say I do not deserve this and I would say…

She shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich: What does deserve matter? 

She nods, pointing to herself again.

Seleana Zdunich: I have the opportunity regardless of what you think. It is here, it is mine and there is nothing anyone who does not like it can do about it.

She runs her hands together anticipatorily.

Seleana Zdunich: I would say I do not care and it would not be a lie because this is not just a golden opportunity because of the chance at a championship match.

She shakes her head even as the smile turns suddenly sinister.

Seleana Zdunich: This is the opportunity I have been waiting for. Ever since you opened your mouth and allowed my name to sound, I have waited for this chance.

Nodding, Seleana slowly cocks her head to the right.

Seleana Zdunich: I am who I am and you will see that the woman who plays with lions for fun is not just someone to call out because you were bored and thought you could score cheap and easy points with people who do not matter and would not piss on you if you burned in front of them! 

The sinister smile starts to fade away, replaced with an icy anger.

Seleana Zdunich: I have been waiting for this opportunity, Julianna, ever since you said my name for no reason and could not stop yourself from retreading ground that is so well worn by others that it should have been paved over by now.

The anger manages to intensify even as it becomes more visible.

Seleana Zdunich: It is sad whenever you do this, you cannot mention me without bringing up my wife as if somehow anything she does is somehow also me even if I was not there or it happened to others completely unrelated to either of us.

She shakes her head in disgust.

Seleana Zdunich: You must remember when this happens, Julianna…

She nods and points into the camera.

Seleana Zdunich: You did this.

She nods even more pointedly.

Seleana Zdunich: You picked this fight.

She steps forward, still pointing accusingly into the camera.

Seleana Zdunich: You picked this fight by mentioning and talking down at me and then running away because you thought you would never have to worry about me because we would never stand across the ring from each other. I was too old, too far gone, too far below you for you to ever need to worry about me.

Shrugging, Seleana allows her hands to rise up as if she is showing how Jualianna would react to the idea of fighting her.

Seleana Zdunich: You are the champion and thus would never need to waste yourself in dealing with me, ja?

She nods knowingly, again as if the answer is self-evident and obvious.

Seleana Zdunich: Well here we are, Julianna, and you DO have to deal with me.

The anger rises yet again.

Seleana Zdunich: This is a golden opportunity, Jualianna, because I do not have to win anything to get my hands on you.

She grins, her eyes flashing hungrily at this idea.

Seleana Zdunich: I do not need to win anything to face you because I already get to.

She nods grimly.

Seleana Zdunich: This is my opportunity to take every word you said, every insult you hurled, every dismissal you gave..

She pantomimes balling things up together.

Seleana Zdunich: Do you realize I can get what I want, win or lose in this match, Julianna?

She nods knowingly, the anger simmering underneath everything.

Seleana Zdunich: You need to win this match or I prove you to not just be wrong, but so wrong that it almost makes you a liar. You need to win because if you do not, I prove that you were wrong and I get another match with you where the championship is on the line AND I get to beat on you some more.

She nods and then points to herself.

Seleana Zdunich: But I…

A venomous smile cracks through the rage.

Seleana Zdunich: I do not need to win anything to get what I want because all I want is to smack you around until my hand hurts and then smack you around some more for making my hand hurt. All I want is to beat on you until I have had my fill and enjoyed myself to the fullest.

A mirthless chuckle escapes her lips.

Seleana Zdunich: Du skiter i det blå skåpet när du gjorde höns av fjädrar och nu får jag plocka fjädrarna tills jag fångar ditt skägg i brevlådan!

She nods coldly.

Seleana Zdunich: I will enjoy this Julianna because you are caught in a trap of your own making. You designed this and caught yourself.

Collapsing her hands together, Seleana glares directly into the camera.

Seleana Zdunich: All I had to do was be patient and the hunt came to me…

She nods, rubbing her hands together in excited anticipation all over again.

Seleana Zdunich: Välkommen till djungeln…

The sick smile returns to her visage.

Seleana Zdunich: The lion does not sleep tonight with this opportunity. She just eats.

It was a cool day in Los Angeles and things had been looking up lately.

Her wives had both returned to their family, Christina from her drug and alcohol-fueled bender and Alexandra from her moment of darkness and doubt.

Now, Seleana Zdunich was at her office at the Zdunich Zoological Gardens, going over paperwork or the recent additions to the security team. As Seleana sits there, a knock comes on the door to the office.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja?

The door opens and two latino men stand there looking none too pleased at something. The two men walk into the office and close the door behind them.

Man #1: You know why we’re here?

The second man scoffs at the notion of Seleana’s ignorance.

Man #2: You know she does. Chica ain’t stupid…

The first man shrugs.

Man #1: Doesn’t mean she does.

The second man shakes his head.

Man $2: Putas estúpidas.

Seleana looks up and stares at the two, visibly taken aback to see them there.

Seleana Zdunich: Can I help you?

The first man starts to nod but the second one glares at her hatefully.

Man #2: ¿Eres realmente tan estúpida?

The first man nods to his compatriot.

Man #1: Calmate… calmate…

Seleana presses a couple of things on her phone and nods to them, placing her hands on the desk in front of her.

Seleana Zdunich: Was your visit to the zoo unsatisfactory?

The second man starts to get agitated all over again but the first one puts a hand up to slow him.

Man #1: It’s alright, Lalo, she might really not know what we are here for…

He pauses to nod to her in acknowledgment.

Man #1: Or she has an idea but is waiting for us to confirm before jumping to any crazed assumptions, which…

He nods his head in the same manner again.

Man #1: Is not a bad idea in her place. When you have a nice establishment like this, several other businesses, two wives and a child to worry about and you’re going to be in Henderson on Sunday, you never know what might happen when you’re gone.

Seleana nods knowingly.

Seleana Zdunich: ¿Cuánto?

The tw turn to each other, Lalo looking certain this proves she was faking while the first man still seems certain that she was not.

Lalo: ¡Puta!

The first man puts both hands up to calm his companion.

Man #1: Calmate, Lalo, calmate. She’s ready to talk business so we can get to it without any bullshit involved now. 

Lalo points accusingly.

Lalo: You know what she did to Héctor and Geo!

Before anything else can be said, Seleana shakes her head.

Seleana Zdunich: I did nothing to either of them. I did not even have a go at them. Geo came here first, alone, and left on his own. What happen to him after, I do not know, though I was told a rumor. Héctor came later, after whatever happened to Geo. He was not pleased to hear a call was to be made. What happen after, I do not know. I did not need to know in either case. It was not my business so I did not ask.

Lalo glares at her, his hatred seemingly intensifying with every second that goes by.

Lalo: You think it’s funny what happened to them? Do you know who we are?

Seleana nods slowly.

Seleana Zdunich: You are their brothers, Lalo and Joaquín Rondón. You are connected to the group in Jalisco, ja? Your uncle run things in Mexico and thinks Héctor and Lalo are too reckless and cause too many problems for business. Geo is usually better but got into his own supply too much and get sloppy. Joaquín and cousin Tuco are the better choices for things. Joaquín because he is smart, Tuco because he makes the least noise.

Lalo is almost shaking while Joaquín stares at her, momentarily dumbfounded by the information dump she just performed for their benefit.

Joaquín Rondón: We need to go.

Lalo turns to look at his brother, incensed and shocked by what he’s just heard leave his brother’s lips.

Lalo Rondón: The fuck? This puta owes us how much and you…

Joaquín Rondón: She's stalling…

Lalo Rondón: What?!!?

Joaquín nods to Selena.

Joaquín Rondón: She’s stalling, someone is coming. There’s no way she should know this much unless somebody warned her we were going to come and collect because her wife owed us as much as she did and we were told to invoke her little girl’s name. We need to go…right now.

Lalo Rondón: Why?

Joaquín starts to back up towards the door.

Joaquín Rondón: Because she’s connected to people too. Her daughter-in-law’s the VP of the Shieldmaidens. She has some Maidens and Chrome Dragons who work here. She was family friends with Dean Matthews and I’m pretty sure some of the Japanese Maidens are friends with a Takamoto…

Lalo shakes his head again.

Lalo Rondón: So what?

Joaquín Rondón: ¡Cállate y vámonos!

As Joaquín starts to reach for the door handle, the door opens to find Chrome Dragons Full Patch Sam “Razorback” Matthews along with his sgt-at-arms Carlton “Cerberus” Martin standing there with several Japanese men right behind them.

Sam “Razorback” Matthews: Hey… where y’all goin?

Joaquín’s head droops down in defeat.
 
Joaquín Rondón: Shit…

Cerberus shakes his head.

Carlton “Cerberus” Martin: Y’all know she’s got a match to prepare for, right?

Sam “Razorback” Matthews: Vanya’s gonna be pissed he has to call Salazar and T-Will all over again and I can’t imagine Koichi is gonna take this challenge to his authority very well. 

Cerberus shrugs.

Carlton “Cerberus” Martin: How hungry is them pigs?

Razorback grins.

Sam “Razorback” Matthews: Starving…

The two Dragons step aside as the Japanese men come into the office and escort the Rondón Brothers out and to the back door of the facility.

Seleana Zdunich: Pobrecitos…

She shakes her head almost sadly as the two are taken away to wherever guys like that go to.

It had been a nice night the previous evening when Seleana and Christina Zunich had managed to surprise their wife with a small party for her birthday. Now, after sleeping the glow off, Seleana walks back into the room, her workout clothes set out before her as she quickly starts getting dressed. Her wife, Alexandra “Diamond” Caldwell-Zdunich sits up on the bed squinting and confused.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: Sel?

Seleana turns to face her, smiling, her hair still damp with a smile shining through.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja?

Alexandra manages to force one eye fully open.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: What’s goin’ on?

Seleana smiles even more brightly.

Seleana Zdunich: I am getting ready for a workout while Christina attends a session after she took Aurora to school. We both thought we should allow you to sleep in after we spring party on you yesterday, ja?

Alexandra ponders this as she slowly comes to full consciousness whether she really wants to or not and a smile crosses her face.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: You did surprise me.

Seleana shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich: How often do you turn twenty-nine?

She moves over and kisses Alexandra lovingly.

Seleana nods her agreement. Alexandra scans her workout clothes and frowns in confusion again.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: You have a match this week?

Seleana nods.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: I thought SCW didn’t like to book you in back to back weeks?

Seleana nods again.

Seleana Zdunich: They do not but my match last week got canceled on Friday so they book me again this week to allow me to keep the rust off.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: Who was it supposed to be last week?

Seleana hesitates for a second before answering.

Seleana Zdunich: Alexandra Calaway.   

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: That… Alexandra Calaway?

Seleana nods slowly.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: But it’s not this week?

Seleana shakes her head.

Seleana Zdunich: No, this week it is Bea Barnhart. I assume Calaway still has problem from last week.

Alexandra sighs heavily.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: Is she still the same bitch she was before?

Seleana almost laughs.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja.

Alexandra laughs right along with her.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: Some things never change, eh?

Seleana and Alexandra giggle together.

Seleana: Ja, now I just need to get ready for Bea Barnhart. We have been in the ring together many times and she never fails to bring me.

Alexandra nods.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: Who are you working out with for that?

Seleana shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich: I will find someone when I get there.

Alexandra nods slowly.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: You got time to wait for me?

Seleana can’t help but smile.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja.

Alexandra smiles back.

Alexandra "Diamond" Caldwell-Zdunich: Alright, then let me get up and get ready and I’ll be the one.

Seleana nods and kisses her again.

It had been a good Thanksgiving. This was a holiday that Seleana Zdunich discovered was a big thing upon coming to the United States and it had only gotten more important given its proximity to her wife’s birthday. Add in their daughter’s birthday not quite two weeks before and it was a busy time in the Zdunich Household.

Now, the day after was upon the place and Seleana had to just shake her head in shock that things had gone so well. Her wife, Christina “Crystal Hilton” had managed to make the trip for the second time in nine days. She had come in from New York City on the 14th for Aurora’s birthday making the little girl exceptionally happy. Now, she’d made it here for the 23rd and had not been alone. Both of her biological children, Brittany Williams and Brayden Hilton had arrived complete with their wives, Sofia “Coneja” Rojas Hilton and Haylie Jo “Halo” Annis. Brayden and Sofia had, of course, brought along their toddler daughter, Isabella.

It was Halo that had brought the surprise with her in the form of Seleana and Christina’s now ex, Alexandra “Diamond” Caldwell, which had also made Aurora exceptionally happy given that she still called her “Mommy” just like she did with Seleana and Christina and Diamond was doing her best to maintain a relationship with the thirteen-year-old.

Sofia’s sister, Ravenna “Cuervo” Rojas and her girlfriend, Brittany and Brayden’s cousin, Emily Williams, had also made an appearance.

Now, Christina had been up early to catch a flight to Peru for a show on Saturday. Ravenna and Emily had left Thursday to go over to Emily’s side of the family. Diamond had spent the night in a guest room and was still there playing a video game with Aurora. Sofia and Brayden had left with Isabella for their home. Brittany was downstairs with Diamond and Aurora while Halo was sitting in a chair opposite the bed where Seleana was currently sitting as well.

Seleana Zdunich: I wish to thank you, HayJo, for everything you have done. In two days’ time, you have done so much for the family, ja?

Halo leans forward and bows her head.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: I didn’t really do that much, Mama Sel. I just… managed to not scream at anybody is all.

Seleana shakes her head.

Seleana Zdunich: First you make sure Alex is given care when she get piss drunk, then you bring her here and make sure she is included in family celebration. That is not nothing, HayJo. Blackout Wednesday is nothing to be happy about, especially in this family.

Halo nods knowingly.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Yeah, me and Mama Chrys kinda prove that, don’t we?

She shakes her head at herself.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Helluva family tradition, ain’t it?

Seleana raises a hand to try and slow her down and calm her.

Seleana Zdunich: You have put in work to overcome that. It has been years since you did anything like that.

Halo nods slowly, still visibly ashamed and disgusted with herself.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: I’m still sorry y’all caught me doin’ that shit here in y’all’s house.

Seleana Zdunich: That was years ago, ja? It is not who you are now. Be proud of how far you’ve come and who you are now. I am proud of you.

Halo allows herself a small smile.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Thanks, Mama Sel.

She glances back at the door.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: You think we gotta worry about Mama Alex and Mama Chrys now?

Seleana exhales heavily.

Seleana Zdunich: Alex looks to be a one-time thing. I think she learn nothing good come from that unless she enjoys having hangover. Christina…

She trails off, considering how much she should tell her daughter-in-law.

Seleana Zdunich: Is putting in work as well. She’s been in New York for football for the last few months’s time and Zenna went up to meet her. Got her to go to meetings again. 

Halo’s eyes go wide in shock.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Mama Chrys went to meetings?

Seleana nods.

Seleana Zdunich: Z say she flush cocaine and dump out vodka as well. That is good, ja?

Halo nods slowly, still surprised by what she’s hearing.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Assuming she didn’t run out and replace her stash, yeah, it is.

Seleana exhales heavily again.

Seleana Zdunich: I hope…  I was not here when Zenna had this problem herself. I was still in Christchurch. I do not know what all to do with…

She trails off again, both at a loss for the proper words and overcome at the thought of what would happen if the worst happened. Halo stands up and slips over next to her mother-in-law on the bed, patting the older woman’s hand.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Mama Sel, you’re doing the best you can do. You’ve been supportive yet protecting Aurora. What more can you do? You hold this family together and there are many who have no idea how you do it.

Seleana nods to Halo.

Seleana Zdunich: You do last night during dinner. Brittany, Brayden, Sofia just…

Halo shrugs.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Mama Sel, that was as much you as it was me, if not more. Ain’t nobody in this family wanna fight in front of you. B-Brat’s tryin’ to be better and even started goin’ over to Miss Zoey’s to learn how. Sofia…

She sighs just as Seleana had earlier.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: I don’t think Coneja really understood what all she was gettin’ into. I know Brayden didn’t. B-Brat’s still tryin’ to dig herself out of that hole she dug with the others and damn near everybody else out there with all the stupid shit she’s done in the last few years. Ain’t none of them the most patient fuckers on the planet and that tends to rub them all the wrong way.

Seleana nods understandingly.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, Brittany is her mother’s daughter and Brayden is his father’s son that way. Sofia…

She shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich: I do not understand. She seem to try too hard to be a fit for the family.

Halo nods emphatically.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Ain’t that the truth!

She pauses and then smirks as she pivots the subject.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: So I hear somebody done called you old in SCW, that true?

Seleana nods.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, she did and talked about many things she knows nothing about. She say I hide behind Christina because Christina jumped on a tweet to respond.

Halo snickers.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Some people’s kids…

Seleana shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich: She make a hen out of a feather.

The special venom on the phrase strikes Halo.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: She’ll learn. They always do.

Seleana smiles.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, is the truth.

She stands and nods towards the door.

Seleana Zdunich: Let us go see how the games go, ja?

Halo stands to join her.

Haylie Jo "Halo" Annis: Sounds good to me.

The two head out the door and go downstairs to see how everybody else is doing.

The camera opens upon Seleana Zdunich standing in the bedroom next to the bed nodding slowly to the bed.

Seleana Zdunich: Sunday I meet Bella Madison with the winner facing Krystal Wolfe on the last show before the supercard. The winner of that match meets Julianna DiMaria for the World Bombshell Championship at the supercard.

She almost laughs to herself.

Seleana Zdunich: I do not know why Julianna cannot seem to keep my name out of her mouth like she is attempting to swallow something else but she cannot.

She nods pointedly into the camera.

Seleana Zdunich: I do not understand why you focus on things you say you do not believe will happen as much as you do. If you do not believe you will face me, then why talk about me at all?

She shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich: Why give me that much attention dn expend your time, energy and effort to speak of someone that is supposed to be unworthy of such things?

Seleana shakes her head in disgust.

Seleana Zdunich: Din jävla idiot! Göra en höna av en fjäder.

She looks away and glares at the far wall.

Seleana Zdunich: Du har skit i det blå skåpet!

Looking back into the camera, the anger has not left her eyes.

Seleana Zdunich: I know you expect Bella to win this match, or so you will say and you will laugh if she does and say it is more proof that I am what you say I am.

She points into the camera accusingly.

Seleana Zdunich: You have no idea what you are talking about the same way you said my wife is still fixated on somebody we have had no contact with in a long time.

She shakes her head, her hand falling back out of the shot.

Seleana Zdunich: That is what you fear, Julianna. That no one will target you despite you being the champion.

She pauses.

Seleana Zdunich: Is that why you mention me? Because the times I have been a champion, many wanted to take their shot at me and end that status? 

She spreads her arms out wide.

Seleana Zdunich: Now the company had to set up a mini-tournament just to get somebody to pay you attention?

She simply shrugs slightly, looking like she can’t decide if she should want to spit in disgust or feel pity for the champion.

Seleana Zdunich: I am sorry that you are not the likes of Alicia Lukas or Roxi Johnson or Kayla Richards or Sam Marlowe. I am sorry you are not my wife or me as we all seem to draw crosshairs with no trouble at all.

She nods slowly, knowingly.

Seleana Zdunich: It hurts, ja?

A small almost playful smirk comes to Seleana’s face.

Seleana Zdunich: It hurts that to get Krystal, Bella, I or almost anyone else to say your name, they had to make you the prize we compete for because you could not do it yourself. 

She nods, the smirk fading away as she does so.

Seleana Zdunich: Bra, låt det göra ont.

Pausing, Seleana looks mockingly into the camera’s lens.

Seleana Zdunich: What? You do not understand?

She shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich: I am sorry you are too lazy and too stupid to get it translated so I will help.

Seleans grits her teeth.

Seleana Zdunich: Let. It. Hurt.

She moves as the camera zooms in to frame her face.

Seleana Zdunich: Bella and I will fight as we were directed to. Tempe, Arizona will see us fight because it is our job and because it is what we do.

She shakes her head.

Seleana Zdunich: But it is not for you.

Her slowly tilts slightly to the right.

Seleana Zdunich: If you did not hold that championship, people would care even less about you than we already do. We fight for the opportunity to hold that. You just happen to be the one standing in the winner’s way. Whether it ends up being me, Bella or Krystal, we will be fighting to make that championship mean what it always has. We will be fighting to restore the dignity and the honor of that championship and what it meant to everyone else who has ever held it for you and that you besmirch and piss on just by existing.

Seleana glares angrily into the camera.

Seleana Zdunich: You do not approve?

She shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich: Let it hurt.

The noise makes Seleana Zdunich walk away from a workout earlier than she had meant to. Training for a battle royal with championship stakes was no small mountain to climb, especially not when it involved Kat Jones, Mercedes Vargas, Tempest, Ariana Angelos, Luna Vanity, Krystal Wolfe and Sam Marlowe. But the chime on the phone giving a message alert was insistent and thus, Seleana pulled herself away to check her phone. As she looks at the screen and the text message waiting for her she almost drops her phone right there.

Christina
Hey Sel how are you we need to talk

With her right hand holding onto the phone, her left hand comes up to cover her mouth as thoughts of apprehensive horror start dancing in her head. She starts to type an answer but can’t bring herself to hit the buttons. After what seems like years, she punches in a response of nothing but a question mark, sends it off and closes her eyes.

What could this mean? Were the signs she’d seen but didn’t want to admit were all real? How bad was it? Had Christina…?

She shakes her head. No, she was not going to jump to wild conclusions based on a one line text message sent at what amounted to the crack of dawn. She exhales heavily and opens her eyes just as the next chime comes in. This time, it wasn’t Christina.

Stephanie Sullivan
Hey Sel… You need to really check on Crystal. She told me she’s been drinking again and she doesn’t want to hurt you. Make sure you watch her, she’s been dealing with some demons.

Stephanie was both the girlfriend of Seleana’s cousin, Nadja Lindström, but also Christina’s best friend. What was going on? Seleana sits reading this message for a long time, staring at the stark truth that was also staring back at her.

He’d known… but hoped against hope she was wrong…

Now that the hope had been smashed, what could she say? Alex was gone and Christina was diving into the deep water again. Aurora was already blaming herself for Alex leaving, now Christina would be unpredictable and how would the little girl take this?

Especially with her birthday coming up in a little over a month’s time?

Seleana looks at the message again and sucks in a deep breath. How bad was this and how much would Christina tell her? Nodding coolly to herself, she finally musters an answer.

Just as she sends it off, the next chime sounds alerting her to the next message coming in. Was iot Stephanie answering her back or was Christina? She was almost loathe to look. Taking the chance, she taps the button to reveal the answer.

Christina
I…

Closing her eyes, Seleana exhales heavily. Here it came.

Seleana
Have you done more than drink?

A different hope now entered Seleana’s heart, mind and soul. The hope that Christina had not doven all the way off the wagon and started back into cocaine and everything that would come with that. With Dean Matthews gone, there was a momentary power vacuum in that world and who knew what those people would do if Christina got desperate and reckless. Even with the Shieldmaidens and Chrome Dragons around, things could happen. The notification chime cuts those thoughts off.

Christina
I… no… Im trying not too please I don’t want to go to rehab

A million different thoughts flood Seleana’s mind at once. Was that hesitation? Was it because she had and didn’t want to admit it? Trying? Did that mean she’d thought about it? Did that mean she already had some and was talking herself out of it? Was that about the alcohol? Had she already done something else like she tended to do when alcohol came into play? She places a hand on the table and steadies herself before replying.

What DO you want, Estrellita?

She sends the message off and braces for the answer.

Christina
To be back home. Don’t tell Aurora but I feel weak and Crystal is getting stronger every day. The thought and pride of success is too much to overcome

Seleana closes her eyes again. Aurora would understand but not understand at the same time. It was nice to see Christina trying to shield their daughter from whatever this was even knowing that there really was no fully shielding her from this. Aurora was already asking questions as if she’d seen things but didn’t want to say such and was also asking if it was her fault. Opening her eyes, Seleana punches in a response and hits send.

Seleana
You need help of some sort, ja?

The answer comes back almost immediately. Exactly as Seleana feared.

Christina
Yes

A second message follows before any response can be made.

Christina
And I don’t wanna lose our marriage. I been staying with Stephanie and Nadja for a bit but I wanna be with you

So that was what had taken her longer than expected to return from her business trip. That also explained why Stephanie sent the message she sent. She was present to see it first hand. 

Seleana
Jag älskar dig, Stjärna.

She could only hope telling Christina that she loved her and calling that nickname in Swedish would at least make her smile. 

Christina
Te Amo mas

Seeing the same message come back in answer manages to make Seleana smile for a second. The smile fades as the reality starts to set in. Christina was off the wagon and nobody knew how bad this was going to be but even more… she was avoiding coming home to face her wife and child about it.

Seleana sighs as a tear starts down her face.

Seleana Zdunich: Snälla kom hem.

She almost laughs despite herself.

Seleana Zdunich: That is a tall order no matter what the prize but when it is a championship?

A pall comes over her face, causing her eyes to glare laserlike into the camera.

Seleana Zdunich: The SCW Bombshell Internet Championship and we are all capable of winning this.

She pauses to nod acknowledgement.

Seleana Zdunich: I know some will disagree but they are wrong and simply do not wish to admit because it means they have to admit they can all be defeated.

She nods firmly.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, Kat Jones, Mercedes Vargas, Luna Vanity, Other Crystal, Tempest, Ariana Angelos, Sam Marlowe, we are all able to win but we are also all able to be defeated.

She points into the camera.

Seleana Zdunich: This will be a spectacle when we all get in and fight for this championship to fill the vacancy and void left behind.

Her hand lowers even as the glare intensifies.

Seleana Zdunich: Say whatever you want but you all know the truth. We…

She points more to herself than anything else.

Seleana Zdunich: We are all of us capable and we are all going to give it our best square go to win it all!

She pauses and looks down at her feet for a second, her entire expression changing. She takes a deep breath and then looks back up into the camera.

Seleana Zdunich: Stjärna…

Looking into the lens, sadness creeps into her eyes.

Seleana Zdunich: Snälla kom hem.

She tries to blink back the tears that are threatening to emerge.

Seleana Zdunich: Por favor, Estrellita, ven a casa.

Allowing herself a second to compose herself, her expression turns back into a fearsome glare.

Family visits always brighten days. For the San Clemente Charter, today was going to be special just because it was time for a visit from a championships tag team that were relatives of the Vice President, Haylie Jo “Halo” Annis, but also of prospects Brittany “B-Brat” Williams, Dawn “D-Dub” Warren, Sofia “Coneja” Hilton and Ravenna “Cuervo” Rojas. With B-Brat, D-Dub and Coneja off running various errands, Halo and Cuervo were now sitting with Seleana Zdunich and her middle sister, Zenna Zdunich, as they wait for the others coming to train with them.

Halo: Y’all really talking about having a match with Team Hero?

Seleana nods.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, but it might not happen.

Halo simply nods but Cuero frowns in confusion.

Ravenna "Cuervo" Rojas: ¿Por qué no?

Selena shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich: Well, I have a championship match Sunday. If I win, there is a possibility I would not be available for the tag team match. There is also the possibility that someone else accepted that challenge and will be given that opportunity instead.

Still looking confused, Cuervo

Ravenna "Cuervo" Rojas: You did not accept?

Zenna nods.

Zenna Zdunich: We did.

Seleana smiles.

Seleana Zdunich: Sometimes even when a challenge is accepted, it does not mean the match happens.

Cuervo starts to answer but catches and stops twice before just shaking her head.

Ravenna "Cuervo" Rojas: I do not understand.

Halo shrugs.

Halo: Sometimes there’s al;ready plans. Sometimes other plans collide and conflict. Like Mama Sel said, she’s got a match for the Roulette Championship this week. If she wins, she ain’t takin’ no tag match. She’ll likely be defendin’ again, possibly against the same person she just took it from, maybe more. You never know what ideas are poppin’ in them bookermans’ heads. Like the one match you had…

Cuervo shudders at the memory and Halo nods.

Halo: Were you even trained then?

Cuervo shakes her head and Zenna frowns.

Zenna Zdunich: You were not?

Cuervo shakes her head.

Seleana Zdunich: You were not even a wrestler on the roster, ja?

Cuervo nods slowly, almost ashamedly.

Ravenna "Cuervo" Rojas: I teamed with Coneja against La Llorona.

Seleana starts to frown but Halo nods knowingly.

Halo: The Bisque Dolls.

Cuervo nods, still shuddering at the thought. Seleana and Zenna both smile at her.

Zenna Zdunich: But you did the match even though you were frightened?

Cuervo nods, again, shame seemingly flowing over her.

Zenna Zdunich: You were brave then.

Cuervo shakes her head.

Ravenna "Cuervo" Rojas: Coneja was. She stand for me. We lost because I could not help her.

Seleana shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich: But you gave it a go anyway, ja? Overcoming fear and standing there with your sister. Zenna and I have done that in multiple companies. Zenna has won two more tag team championships than I have. She won in Hybrid with her wife and our cousin for both tag and trios. She won with me for trios in WWA and tag in CEW. We might have gotten a chance at either in WWR but the company closed before we got the chance. 

Halo smiles.

Halo: I won a championship in WWR. My sister won the tag titles in Hybrid. Your cousins have won a bunch of championships too, Miss Cuervo.

Cuervo nods.

Ravenna "Cuervo" Rojas: Es la verdad.

Halo: I know your sister will too just like my wife has.

She pauses and nods to her mother-in-law.

Halo: Just like Mama Sel has.

She nods to Zenna.

Halo: And Aunt Z. Family’s just loaded with gold.

Seleana almost laughs.

Seleana Zdunich: Not enough, ja?

Zenna frowns.

Zenna Zdunich: Who say?

Halo shrugs. 

Halo: Who cares? Those people are either full of shit or they’re trying to downplay others to build themselves up because they aren’t really as confident in themselves as they like to portray themselves to be.

She cracks a smile and snickers.

Halo: Sometimes both.

Seleana and Zenna both nod their agreement.

Zenna Zdunich: Happens a lot, ja?

Seleana nods sadly.

Seleana Zdunich: It will probably happen before Sunday again. Alexandra Calaway will not want to admit things and will want to accentuate others.

Halo shrugs.

Halo: Don’t they always?

Everyone shares a laugh as they wait for their session to begin.

She nods, slowly, smiling as she does so.

Seleana Zdunich: You defeated Jessie Salco, ended her run and her reign and took the SCW Bombshells Roulette Championship thus cementing yourself as having achieved championship status, ja?

She nods almost playfully.

Seleana Zdunich: Enjoy…

Her eyes flash as her smile broadens.

Seleana Zdunich: Savor.

The smile starts to fade.

Seleana Zdunich: Even if your reign lasts, this feeling will not.

She points into the camera.

Seleana Zdunich: You should know, sometimes it is your doing. You and people like you cannot wait to rip and tear at champions until they are not perched on a pedestal but on the precipice of falling into an abyss because you chiseled sway until that pedestal was a cliff threatening to fall away into the ocean below.

Looking away, Seleana almost laughs.

Seleana Zdunich: It is what you have always been afraid of, ja?

She nods into the camera, her eyes seemingly boring a hole right through it.

Seleana Zdunich: It is why you surrounded yourself with others to hold you up but also why you walked away both times.

She raises a hand to slow the response that is incoming down.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, I know, it is not your fault.

Seleana shakes her head in disgust.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, it is your fault, Alexandra. You walked away because you both lacked confidence in yourself, but you also lacked trust in others and while you currently hold proof that you can stand on your own and look down from above as a champion on your own, you are still afraid it will end before you have achieved all that you wish for.

A wry smile crosses her face, one that is clearly without mirth and somewhat filled with malice.

Seleana Zdunich: And to prove your hypothesis that way you need look no further than my wives.

She nods, touching her right hand to her chest.

Seleana Zdunich: My Alexandra worked in the same company you did at the time.  She held a championship but you and your comrades of the time would not allow her to enjoy anything resembling championship standing.

She shakes her head.

Seleana Zdunich: You went out of your way to make sure she was harassed and bombarded until she lost her championship and then had her name trampled on in the mud.

Her eyes show the anger pulsating through her.

Seleana Zdunich: And you enjoyed it!

She points into the camera accusingly again.

Seleana Zdunich: You enjoyed it because it made you feel better about yourself to make sure she felt beaten down. You pound on her until she questioned whether she even deserved to be anything, much less a professional in the wrestling field.   

Seleana shakes her head in disgust.

Seleana Zdunich: For this, you will deserve your downfall when it comes.

Through gritted teeth, Seleana nods slowly, almost laughing to herself though it is an almost cold and mirthless laugh that comes through.

Seleana Zdunich: But that does not include what you and others have done to Christina…

Her gaze returns to the camera, her glare fixating dead center in the lens.

Seleana Zdunich: I know… she has given many reasons for many to not like her.

She nods, her hand outstretched to the camera, palm out.

Seleana Zdunich: I know. You do not need to inform me of my wife’s missteps.

Glaring into the camera, she points to herself, tapping her own chest.

Seleana Zdunich: I know, I was there.

She waves her hand through the shot.

Seleana Zdunich: None of you were there for much of it, but I…

She nods angrily, pointing to herself again.

Seleana Zdunich: I was there for it all. I was there for the highs, the lows, the in-betweens. I was there for championships that should have cemented her in the same breath as Roxi Johnson and Mercedes Vargas. I was there for Hall of Fame. I was there to watch as she stepped into the spotlight she earned and see people like you and many, many others, throw rocks at her because it was not you standing there in that spotlight.

She nods angrily again, still pointing to herself.

Seleana Zdunich: I was there to see many of those rocks land and for her to stumble back, hurting, confused, bleeding and begging to know why it was never enough.

Her point closes into a fist against her chest.

Seleana Zdunich: I was there to catch her, to catch Alexandra and to make sure they did not fall as completely as you wanted them to. I was there to see you smile and laugh at their misfortune. 

She nods harshly.

Seleana Zdunich: For this, you deserve when your downfall come!

The glare intensifies.

Seleana Zdunich: And now it is my turn to have rocks thrown at me again and I’m not even in the spotlight.

She points into the camera again.

Seleana Zdunich: You are.

Her head cocks to the right.

Seleana Zdunich: And I know, you are afraid

Her head moves more straight upright.

Seleana Zdunich: You are afraid that this is all a fantasy that soon will end and leave you right where you were before except now you’ve had that little taste and you are begging the dealers for just one more hit. Most afraid that the spotlight will turn off and leave you in the darkness from whence you came.

She nods, pointing to herself again.

Seleana Zdunich: And I know where the switch is.

Her hand falls back to her side. 

Seleana Zdunich: I’ve flipped it on Alicia Lukas before. I’ve flipped it on Jessie Salco more than once before.

She glares one last time through the camera.

Seleana Zdunich: You best hope I do not flip the switch on you, ja?
