 The mere fact that SCW had been around this long could be considered an achievement considering the size of the promotion, however SCW had done it, it had reached its 100th episode of Climax Control and they were celebrating in grand fashion.

How grand? Try bringing back big name stars of both the Bombshell and Male Divisions of the past, sticking them in the same ring and hosting not one but two Battle Royals as the Main Event! The Bombshell Battle Royal consisted of the following names, Kittie, Brandi Shotze, Emma Rose, Faith, Cookie S’Mores, Karina Koji, the Tattooed Goddesses and Lizzie Smalls whilst the Male Battle Royal has the star attraction of this promo, featuring names like Max Burke, Casey Williams, Jamie Staggs, Ben Jordan, Aleksei Koji, Goth, Ethan Brody, Jordan Williams and the man himself “Prime Time” Matthew Kennedy, Matthew hasn’t been seen since his short lived yet popular segment known as Matthew Kennedy News ended with Lizzie Short’s contract but by all reports he has amassed a small fortune for himself in the months since his last appearance but can Matthew win?

Absence makes the heart grow yonder, doesn’t it?

I haven’t been seen on SCW TV since the Matthew Kennedy News Segment that got hijacked by Gabriel towards the end and ever since I have been asked why? Why did Lizzie Short’s SCW tenure end up being so, well, short? Why did the Matthew Kennedy News segments end so abruptly? What have I done since then aside from the fact that I attended Bloodstock also known as my British Festival of Choice?

I will answer each question in time.

What you do need to know is this, wrestling is no longer necessary to me, I use old injuries as an excuse whenever it is brought up but the truth this those injuries healed months ago, simply put I am a self-made man, my wrestling school back in England has paid for itself because many aspiring wrestlers see my old matches and go “I want that man to train me”.

It’s not just the school either, wise investments, saving money, in short, it has all added up.

“Matthew, I don’t know how else to put it.” Marty said as he took a sip from his drink. “You have been training non-stop for one Battle Royal that was barely announced a week ago and you’re treating it a lot differently from your past “one night only” matches, if I didn’t know any better I’d say that this is your comeback.” He added and I took a deep breath.

“Marty, I will be thirty this spring and I am a self-made millionaire.” I started with a sigh before glancing over at Lizzie Short, or should that be Lizzie Kennedy. “I am married to a gorgeous twenty two year old former gymnast turned wrestler, the things she can do in the bedroom would make most porn stars jealous.” I added as I took a sip. “And I don’t mean the bastardization of the word that the Mean Girls use.”

“Don’t hold back darling.” Lizzie chimed in with a big smirk on her face. “Why don’t you just go ahead and thoroughly explain our sexual exploits for the whole world to see and hear.” She added before pointing to the camera.

“If I were to do that, we may as well turn this promo into our sextape.” I responded as I shook my head. “And I am not letting the promo for my comeback match deteriorate to that point.”

“I guess you’re….” Lizzie trailed off as hit her, Marty quickly got it too and he ended up spitting the contents of his drink out. “Did I hear that right?”

“Indeed you did.” I responded as I took a deep breath. “It is time I came out with the truth, I have been waiting for an opportunity like this to come my way and when Christian called me about the alumni Battle Royal I knew it was the time.” I said as I took another sip, “Starting this Sunday, the 30th of November, I am returning to wrestling.”

“You can’t be serious?” Lizzie asked as she looked at me long and hard. “Matthew, do I even need to say how unnecessary this is? We’re flying in your own bloody private jet!”

“And there are all the times you’ve been asked to return to SCW only to turn them down citing injuries.” Marty added as he recovered from the shock. “Where you even injured at all?”

“When I retired, yes, yes I was.” I said as I leaned back. “According to my doctor if I had continued to wrestle from Summer XXXTreme II onwards it is highly likely that I wouldn’t be able to walk by the time I was thirty five, as much as I hate to admit it, my body was breaking down.” I added before shaking my head. “But I refused to let my body defeat me, whilst you were French kissing Jessie Salco and buying Shane Viagra I was training around the clock, at times the pain was unbearable but as a result I am in the best condition of my life, I no longer have to fear being unable to walk by the age of thirty five and most importantly, I am a new man.”

“As if the bloody plane wasn’t obvious enough.” Lizzie sighed before looking out the window. “Any idea when we are landing in Vegas? I lost track of time but we must’ve been flying for at least two hours by now.”

“Indeed, it shouldn’t take too much longer.” I added before closing my eyes. “Marty, Lizzie, I need time to conduct my promo, you know what to do.”

“Yeah, we know.” They responded with a nod before going to a different part of the aircraft, now that I am alone it is time to do something that I haven’t done in over a year.

“This time last year I never thought that I’d wrestle again, let alone sit in front of a camera and conduct a promo for one simple reason, I was told by a doctor that if I had continued I would’ve been paralyzed by the age of thirty five, to put that in perspective I am twenty nine years old, not only that but I am turning thirty this spring, I believe it goes without saying that this was a terrifying reality for me.”

I said as I looked to the side.

“It left me a bitter man for one reason, I never won the top title, I have one SCW Title Reign to my name and that title reign didn’t even last past the second title defense all thanks to two men that I am facing in the Alumni Battle Royal, Aleksei Koji and Casey Williams, and I have to be perfectly blunt here, they are the only ones that I am going to focus on, the rest will each by cancelled one by one.”

And I start with Casey.

“Casey, you were my first real feud in SCW and one of the best feuds I gave have ever had and yet I cannot help but draw parallels between us in how our careers ended, both forced out of wrestling by forces far beyond our control, both running very successful wrestling schools and our protégés failed to make an impact but the major difference is that Lizzie was not only my only protégé to join SCW but she simply wasn’t ready, I would like to add that since then I have gotten married to Lizzie and I couldn’t be happier, you had two and two miserable failures at that, I always knew I was the better wrestler but it’s apparent that I am the better teacher as well.”

Next up is Aleksei.

“Aleksei, I have never forgotten the fact that your mere presence in my second and last Roulette Title defense cost me the title, nor have I forgiven it, I will savor the moment when I eliminate you from the Battle Royal and there is nothing you can do to stop me.”

Before I wrap things up…..

“There have been three questions about my departure from SCW and I’ve already answered one, why did I leave? Injuries, why did the Matthew Kennedy news segments end when Lizzie Short’s contract ended? Simply put I felt that there was no way that I could top the final one and besides, when Lizzie left myself, the Skar Brothers and Marty followed suit, what have I done since then? Look around you, this jet is my own personal private jet do you need it spelt out? Through wise investments, my school and saving my money I have become a self-made millionaire.”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“And yet, I hear the wrestling ring calling my name for one purpose, my wrestling comeback, and I am gladly answering it! Why? It’s obvious that I don’t need wrestling anymore! I am independently wealthy off course! It’s simply because I can, my name is “Prime Time” Matthew Kennedy and everyone else in the alumni battle royal is about to be cancelled!”

Marty and Lizzie returned as the scene fades.
