 {The scene opens with Roxi and her sister Nicole sitting at the table}

Roxi – Thanks for coming.

Nicole – Heard she went back.

Roxi – Yeah. She did.

Nicole – Is… she making progress?

Roxi – I don’t know for sure. Maybe she is.

Nicole – Should we go?

{Roxi sighs, wondering if they should herself, she grimaces and shakes her head.}

Roxi – I… I think we should let her continue for the time being.  We may undo all of her work if we’re not careful. I’m not sure what effect we’d have if we went to visit.

Nicole – You’re probably right. Still, keep me updated. It… It would be nice to have him back.

Roxi – I know. Maybe she’ll get through to him.

Nicole – You think so?

Roxi – I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt if that’s what you’re asking. I mean, we brought mom back, and… I think… I think Keira can do the same.

Nicole – We’ll see.

Roxi – Does mom know?

Nicole – Haven’t talk to her about it. I will soon. Don’t know how she’ll react either.

Roxi – How is she?

Nicole – She gets better every day. She’s just taking it a day at a time, and that’s all we can ask. She’ going to back to work soon. Secretary for a dentist.

Roxi – Good. Glad to hear it.

{Nicole looks down and checks her watch.}

Nicole – Speaking of which, I’ve gotta run, might be late for my appointment.

Roxi – Alright.

{Nicole stands, and straps her purse over her shoulder and hugs Roxi.}

Nicole – I’ll talk to you later. Call me if anything happens.

Roxi – I will.

{Nicole heads to the door as Keira comes in carrying pizza.}

Nicole – Hey Ke.

Keira – You’re not going to help me, Rox?

Roxi – Uh… I’m over here.

Keira – Then… oh, Nicole…

Nicole – Hi.

Keira – Could you hold the door please?

Nicole – Sure.

{Nicole holds the door as Keira brings in 5 boxes of pizza. Keira enters and Nicole waves as she shuts the door.}

Roxi – You got enough?

Keira – For me… hehe.

Roxi – Very funny.

Keira – I thought so. Why…. Why was Nicole here?

Roxi – Stopped by. She told me about mom and how she’s doing.

Keira – Is she okay?

Roxi – Yeah, one day at a time. She’s getting there. Getting a job soon.

{Keira smiles.}

Keira – Good. I’m glad to hear that.

Roxi – How you feeling?

Keira – A little annoyed Frost and I couldn’t go farther. Thought I had a real winner there but, I guess not.

Roxi – Don’t worry too much over it. We’re still the tag team champions.

Keira – I know, but I want to be Bombshell’s champion.

Roxi – We’ll get there.

Keira – I’m just… bummed you know, this was a really good chance for me to gain some recognition for after we do lose the tag titles.

Roxi – We’ll get there. You did well in your match last week, I’m proud of you.

Keira – Still… I just want to prove how good I am.

Roxi – You’ve proven yourself time and time again, I wouldn’t worry too much.

{Keira sighs and shrugs.}

Keira – I don’t really want to discuss last week anymore. Let me just enjoy my pizza.

Roxi – Fine.

Keira – I’m more worried about you having two matches this week.

Roxi – Hey, one is for Ash, and the other is for SCW. I was invited to team on Ash’s team. I’m going to honor it.

Keira – You think you’ll have anything left for Crystal?

Roxi – I should. The other match is 6 on 6, so I’m not too worried.

Keira – Just be careful with Crystal.

Roxi – I know Crystal. I’ll be okay.

Keira – You promise?

Roxi – I promise.

{Keira smiles a she opens up the pizza box.}

Keira – Good, let’s eat.

{Just as Keira puts a slice on her plate, The communicator goes off.}

Keira – I may have to kill someone tonight.

{Roxi shakes her head as she answers the call.}

Roxi – Go ahead Vision.

Vision – Guys, they found another body.

Roxi – Same M.O.

Vision – Yeah, dumped in an alley, naked.

Keira – This guy is starting to piss me off.

Roxi – We’ll get on it Vision, just text the address.

Vision – You got it.

{Roxi ends the call and turns to Keira.}

Keira – This means no pizza tonight, huh?

Roxi – Cold pizza…

{Keira shrugs.}

Keira – Cold pizza works.

Roxi – Let’s go.

{Keira sneaks in a slice before joining Roxi to change as the scene fades.}

Well, hello there SCW.
Well, I’m a little bummed for Keira as of what happened last week. I know how hard she worked, and how much she wanted to beat the champion Sam Marlowe and move on and gain a championship match for the Bombshell’s title, and unfortunately, it’s not to be anymore. I feel bad because she had such a good chance with a partner like Frost. And I know it makes her nervous being out of the tournament because she really wanted to impress Mark and Christian. I think she has done that stepping up to all challenges they put in front of her, and more often than not, being able to overcome them. She makes strides all the time, it’s just last week she came up short, and she’s taking it hard.

None the less, she’s still a tag champion with me, and we inch closer to that tag title record. But, much like the record, it comes one day at a time. And as the days go by, I inch closer to my next tournament match. Casey Williams and I took down one team, and now we face an even tougher test in Crystal Millar and my good friend Despy.

Man, it’s always a bummer to have to go against a friend. Despy and I were great teammates before, and the best of friends. He’s probably the best male friend I have on the roster. Not to put down my actual tag partner Casey, we just never interacted much until now. I like Casey, he’s a good guy, but you know, Despy and I have gone on adventures together, we’ve been hanging out a lot. I make him cookies. He and Angel are so good to me! It’s such a shame that we’re not teaming and that I have to face him in a match. Thankfully, we don’t actually have to wrestle each other, or.. well, we won’t. I don’t think I could do it anyway. He’s my buddy. I’m already bummed enough as it is we’re opponents, but if we had to fight? I might cry. Like, really. Despy is so cool and all. But, thankfully, it’s one time and when its over, there will be no hard feelings either way. Despy will always be my friend, and I will always be his friend. Friends forever!

However, I can’t really say the same for his partner Crystal. Now, Crystal hasn’t done anything to ME, per say, but her attitude makes me think she has come kind of bi-polar issue. One day she’s nice and wants to hang out and stuff, and the next day, well, not even the next day… the next 3 hours more like it, she’s running people down and acting like she’s so much better than everyone she comes into contact with. It’s bizarre to say the least. I certainly don’t understand it. I think maybe it’s just that Crystal wants and needs to be the center of attention. People have to talk about her. I think that’s the idea. Flip-flopping certainly does have a way to get you attention, though it may not be the best way to get it, it certainly does get people talking. I guess the old adage of there is no such thing as bad publicity still holds true today. So long as people talk about Crystal, I think she’s happy.

At least, on the outside.

I kind of almost feel bad for her in many ways. I think think about it. Here’s a woman who at one point was like, considered the best women’s wrestler in the world, and now and, here we are and, that distinction is pretty much gone. And what has Crystal left? It’s almost like she really is what she portrays. The aging movie star still trying to prove she’s still got it. The 40 year old model who still thinks she’s 20. I almost think that about her because she plays into those things so much. We can all point and say what has Crystal done lately, rather than look at her legacy of winning titles and being at the top of her game for a very, very long time. Crystal did win the Roulette title while here, and she’s won countless titles in many companies, it’s not like she’s a slouch. But in this time of instant gratification it seems, legacy isn’t exactly the measuring stick anymore.

Now, that’s not to say that I feel pity for her like she’s a small, lost puppy or something. She’s a grown woman and perfectly capable of getting big wins. But Casey Williams and I have other plans. We plan on winning this one and going right into the semi-finals. I said before that we have the ability to shock a few people, and we dang sure do. Regardless of Casey’s win-loss record against Despy, regardless of my friendship with Despy, and regardless of Crystal’s lack of a lot of success and maybe being “due” I still plan on doing my part and helping my team to victory.

This is the time of year for upsets isn’t it?

I wouldn’t count anybody out of any match.

I am excited, I am focused, and I am ready. I will see you all for Climax Control.

{The scene is backstage is the latest event Roxi was at on Thursday. While backstage with a couple of people she knew, she ran into the person she was looking for.}

Roxi – Amy Jo…

{Amy Jo Smyth sat dressing for her match. She peered up at someone calling her name. She saw Roxi and a smile crept across her face.}

Amy Jo – There you are.

Roxi – I’m booked here, silly.

Amy Jo – Oh, I know, red. Been waiting for you to come see me.

{Amy Jo finished tying her boots and stood up. The two friends hugged briefly.}

Amy Jo – So…

Roxi – So…

{Roxi looked at Amy Jo, not really getting the hint.}

Amy Jo – I do believe I’m the one owed this time…

Roxi – Oh…. OOOHHH!

{Roxi shook her head as reached behind Amy Jo and slapped her on the butt. Amy Jo nodded and whirled her finger around. Roxi shrugged and obliged and turned around and get a similar slap on the rear end.}

Amy Jo – Nice...

{Amy Jo gave Roxi a slight elbow as Roxi held up her hands.}

Roxi – Alright, alright. Now that that’s out of the way, how have you been?

{Amy Jo’s lip tightened as she simply turned and popped her neck slightly. The level of annoyance was through the roof.}

Amy Jo – You see what’s going on, don’t ‘cha?

Roxi – Yeah, unfortunately.

Amy Jo – It’s like they’re tried to get rid of me. It’s bullshit!

Roxi – You’ve just got to endure.

{Roxi placed a hand on Amy Jo’s shoulder, but Amy Jo stared at her, almost insulted by the attempt at comfort.}

Amy Jo – I appreciate what you were going for there, but we’re WAY beyond that shit right now. I’m about one snide comment away from taking a torch to this place!

Roxi – Alright, alright, calm down.

Amy Jo – It’s… kind of why I’m glad you’re here tonight. Someone who I can talk to.

Roxi – You know I’ll always be here for ya, even if I’m not physically here. You’ve just happened to hit the jackpot because I am.

Amy Jo – I know, you tell me that all the time.

Roxi – And… it’s the truth.

Amy Jo - …. Wanna make out again?

{Roxi shakes her head hugging Amy Jo again.}

Amy Jo – Is that a yes?

Roxi – I… I don’t think right now is really the best time.

Amy Jo – Party pooper.

Roxi – Speaking of taking, I do need to talk to you.

Amy Jo – Oh? Please don’t tell me your wife wants a threesome again…

Roxi – No! Not that!

{Amy Jo folds her arms, and scoffs.}

Amy Jo – Oh, so I’m not good enough for that now?

Roxi – No! I mean… Why are you playing both sides of this?

Amy Jo – Because I like messing with you.

{Amy Jo gives Roxi slap on the butt again.}

Roxi – I see that now. Can we focus a little more?

{Amy Jo sighs.}

Amy Jo – It’s been a rough time recently, this at least makes me feel a little better about all this bullshit. Let me have this?

Roxi – Fine, but I need to talk to you about… the thing we talked about before.

{Amy Jo looks a little confused as to what Roxi is talking about.}

Roxi – On the boardwalk….

Amy Jo – You must remember…. I am drunk… like… a lot, turtle… You’ll have to be more specific.

{Roxi looks around, and then does the classic superhero pose, hands on hips, chest out, shoulder’s back.}

Roxi – You know, that thing?

{Amy Jo arches a brow like she’s still confused, but she smirks.}

Amy Jo – Yeah. I get ‘cha. You have still yet to explain this while superhero deal to me.

Roxi – It’s a long story.

Amy Jo – And… almost impossible to believe.

Roxi – I know that. It’s not like I don’t think about how crazy it is sometimes.

Amy Jo – The sheer science of it makes my head spin. How can you even –

{Roxi shushes Amy Jo}

Roxi – Not so loud. Like I said, long story, we’ll get there.

Amy Jo – Fine, fine. So, what happened?

Roxi – Found another body. Same M.O. as last time.

Amy Jo – How many is that now?

Roxi – Six.

Amy Jo – So, you got any leads?

Roxi – I’ve gathered all the evidence I can get my hands on. It’s all back at my place.

{Amy Jo arches a brow. She lightly giggles}

Amy Jo – Oh, so that’s what this is about?

Roxi – What?

Amy Jo – All that stuff is back at your place? You’re smooth, you know that?

Roxi – What are you….

Amy Jo – You don’t have to make up stories to get me back to your place, turtle.

Roxi – No… No, that’s not it at all. Because bringing evidence –

{Amy Jo holds her hands up, cutting Roxi off.}

Amy Jo – I know, I know, relax. You can show me later.

Roxi – Again, this stuff, is… a little out of our area.

Amy Jo – I’ll take a look, see if I get a profile or at least get you guys in the right direction.

Roxi – Thanks. I greatly appreciate it.

Amy Jo – Yeah, you’re lucky I like your butt.

Roxi – I know.

Amy Jo – Are you going to be wearing that costume again?

Roxi uh…. Not unless I have to.

{Amy Jo gives a “Drat” like finger snap.}

Amy Jo – Got my hopes up and everything.

Roxi – You know, we both have wives…

{Amy Jo shrugs.}

Amy Jo – We’re not doing anything wrong, are we?

Roxi – No, but still.

Amy Jo – We’re just flirting. Innocent-like and everything. But… at the end of the day, if we end up in the shower together… it’s whatever.

{Roxi shakes her head, almost giggling. turns to walk away from Amy Jo to get herself ready.}

Amy Jo – And hey…

{Roxi turns back around.}

Roxi – Yeah?

Amy Jo – Thanks. Made this… whole mess tonight a little easier to stand.

{Roxi gives Amy Jo a knowing nod.}

Roxi – Yeah. Glad I could help.

Amy Jo –Hey, still going for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle look, I see? Are you Donatello or Ralphel? Wait. Lemme guess...You're Raph, ain't cha?

{Roxi just shakes her head and giggles.}

Amy Jo –Can I be Casey Jones? Wait, I can't skate for shit...

Roxi – Casey Jones just wore a hockey... never mind

Amy Jo –  Sweets, this face is too pretty to be covered up.

Roxi – I'm aware of that, I wouldn't ask you to. But, I wouldn't ask you to do this anyway. Way too dangerous

Amy Jo –I eat danger for breakfast! Girl, I was shot last week... The fuck does that word even mean?

Roxi – And you are my friend, and you mean a lot to me, and you getting hurt because of me is something I can't let you do. Because I've lost too many friends to involve you anymore than you are now.

Amy Jo –Um... I risk my life for strangers. Imagine what I'd do for a friend, a real friend.

Roxi –I know you do. I just... I worry is all. I was scared for my wife, I was scared for my family when my world crashed into theirs. It's just how I am."

Amy Jo –Worry about the people who need worrying about. No one need worry about me. I don't even worry about me.

Roxi – I worry about everybody. I can't help it.

Amy Jo –Stop that shit. It'll do ya in... If I learned anything during years of police work, worry about the ones who really need your worry. They're the ones who really need your help the most.

Roxi – I can't change who I am, not that much. Plus... I like you. You know that.

Amy Jo –I like you. Which is a dangerous yet powerful thing for you. Not like, like-like... Just, you know, like.

{Roxi arches a brow.}

Roxi –Just... butt touching, boob-grabbing like. I get it.

Amy Jo – Well, you can't grab what I ain't got. So... No boobie touching here."

Roxi – Stop, they may not be huge, but still, boobs are boobs

Amy Jo –Ha. I know that. Gotta have some fun with yerself every so often. What mother nature forgot in the front, she added in the back.

Roxi – Oh, I know. I like your butt."

Amy Jo –I like yours, too. Nice, not as nice as my wife's, but nice."

Roxi – Well, I appreciate that. Happy we've gotten to that level of comfort to touch each others butts. heh.

Amy Jo – Butt touching!"

Roxi – Ha. Yes.

Amy Jo – Now go on, walk away so I can watch.

{Amy Jo fluffed her eyebrows as Roxi shook her head and waved.}

Roxi – I’ll talk to you later.

{Roxi turned and left, headed for her own spot to change as the scene fades.}
