Blaze of Glory II was drawing near and with it came the stacked card from top to bottom, every match on the card had the potential to be great and in certain cases there was bad blood brewing between the participants but none more so than “Prime Time” Matthew Kennedy and Supremacy’s Nick Jones, a feud that started over the SCW Heavyweight Championship and has evolved into a much more personal feud.
It’s now been a week since Matthew’s promo and Nick Jones has made his voice heard making it clear that he still thinks that Matthew’s way out of league, however as anyone without Nick’s ego can see, in other words everyone else on the planet, Matthew was cheated out of his victories both times, first time by outside interference and the second time by just plain old cheating, can Matthew win the war?

A week between promos gives one a chance to reflect on things, don’t you think?
I have seen Nick Jones’s promo and honestly, it’s more of his usual nonsense, he’ll never own up to the fact that he can’t beat me cleanly and he always makes excuses for himself whenever it’s brought up and this time is no different, so what am I reflecting on you may ask? It’s a very simple question with a very simple answer, my matches with Nick Jones!
I do know what transpired in those matches, no amount of nonsense spewing from the mouths of Nick Jones and Mark Ward can change that, but if I am to defeat Nick Jones and put this nonsense behind me I am going to have to look back on our past matches with a critical eye, I must analyze every mistake I made, every move we made and most importantly the finishes to the matches and what better way to do that than to rewatch them?
That is exactly what I am doing right now, I am sitting in my hotel room watching my previous matches against Nick Jones, not a single word has been uttered since I started watching these matches and I am currently watching my second match against Nick Jones which reinforced the fact that he can’t beat me without resorting to cheating, it’s as clear as day to me and everyone not named nor aligned with Nick Jones.
“Man, the boss has been watching those matches for two hours now!” Zach commented as he folded his arms. “He hasn’t even left to eat breakfast!”
“Can ya blame him?” Al pointed out as he shook his head. “This match with Nick Jones marks the end of the war between them as far as he’s concerned and he needs to be ready for anything.”
“What did I tell you about being completely silent throughout this process?” I asked bluntly and the two bodyguards quickly shut up. “Ah, to hell with it, the match is over!” I grunted before turning off the TV. “Where is Marty?!”
“Right here Matthew.” Marty called out from his laptop that was perched on a coffee table with a chair on it. “Just going over the last details of our plan going into Blaze of Glory II, Casper hasn’t been seen since last week’s match so we may need a replacement.”
“What have I told you about revealing plans on camera?” I asked and Marty quickly shut up. “As for Casper we’ll cross that bridge when the time comes but for now there’s only one man who should be on our minds!”
“Nick Jones?” Al asked and I nodded impatiently. “Did you see his promo last week?”
“No, I spent the wee hours of the morning watching school girl porn, what the bloody hell do you think I’ve been doing?!” I asked bluntly and the two bodyguards put their hands up defensively. “All of you leave; now, I have an idiot to address!”
“You heard the boss.” Al responded and Zach shrugged his shoulders before they went to leave the room. “At least now we can grab some breakfast!”
“Matthew, are you sure? We both know how riled up Nick Jones can get you!” Marty asked me and I turned to him with a frown on my face.
“I am the only reason your employed with this company and your second guessing me?” I asked and Marty shook his head. “So why are you questioning me?”
“Good point, I’d better get going!” Marty agreed before leaving the room. “You’ll join us for breakfast?”
“Soon as I am finished with my promo yes.” I responded and Marty left the room, now that I had some time to myself, at last, I turned to the camera. “Another week has passed and I am one step closer to my ultimate goal, winning the SCW Heavyweight Championship, Nick Jones? You are nothing but a fork in the road on my path to that goal!”
There, I said it.
“You may be trying to get a book deal going but me? I’ve actually been preparing for my match! There’s a reason that I left my promo until today and that reason is that I have been at the local gym working out as hard as I can in preparation for this match and on the non-physical side of things I have been taking a trip down memory lane by watching our last matches together!”
I know what you’re thinking, why?
“I know what you’re going to say in response to this Nick, to see how badly I can beat you, correct? Wrong, an intelligent man like myself knows what to do when taking a trip down memory lane and in my case I was looking at the matches with a critical eye, every mistake I made I analyzed, every move I made I analyzed, I even analyzed the endings to the matches as closely as I could, why? I did it so that I can be ready!”
And no, not ready for my defeat!
“This match, it won’t be a wrestling match, it’ll be an all-out brawl between myself and Nick Jones, two men who despise each other but for me this is a means to an end, the end of this rivalry that has distracted me from my true goal, the SCW Heavyweight Championship, every time I hear words come out of Nick Jones’s mouth all I hear is excuse after excuse, after Blaze of Glory the excuses stop and I’ll gladly welcome the idiots you drag around with you with open arms.”
Why?
“Because then I can out them out of their misery one by one! Your so called Entrouge are nothing but pests and the sooner that Christian comes to his senses and fires the lot of them the better! Once I’m done with them I will focus on you and I’ll watch as you beg for mercy before I hit you with the Prime Time Special and end the match the way that our first match should’ve ended only this time your idiots won’t save you!”
No one will save you.
“I said last week that justice will prevail when we meet in the ring for this match and your comments have done nothing but reinforce that belief, you are nothing but an idiot and an egomaniac and I will gladly put your career out of SCW’s misery, after all, if the SCW Heavyweight Championship was yours then why did you fail to win it back from Spike Staggs when you had your rematch?”
We all know the answer to that.
“It’s because your nothing but a miserable failure and your downward spiral began when you lost to Spike Staggs, since then you have been nowhere near the Main Event much less the SCW Heavyweight Championship and as far as I’m concerned you will never be that close to winning it back again! In fact this match will be by catapult to the top of the food chain and from there I will win the SCW Heavyweight Title.”
But what about you, what will you do?
“As far as I’m concerned you can start challenging Hawkes for the SCW Roulette Championship for all I care because the further you are from me the happier I am, you may think that such a title is bellow you but really, your time in the spotlight died the moment you lost the SCW Heavyweight Championship to Spike Staggs, it has been the feud with me that has kept it on life support!”
And with that I decided to wrap things up.
“It has been a long journey for the both of us to reach this point Nick but this week at Blaze of Glory II we will come to the end of that road and begin anew, I intend to end the war with you at Blaze of Glory Nick and like I said last week, justice will prevail, my name is “Prime Time” Matthew Kennedy and Nick Jones is about to be cancelled.”
I left my hotel room as the scene fades.
