Climax Control Archives / From The Mind of Bobbie Dahl: A Journal Entry
« Last post by Bobbie Dahl on April 26, 2024, 09:39:29 PM »
Wednesday April 24th

So it’s been a hot minute since I added an entry into this thing, which I think I said the same thing with the last time I wrote anything. I need to start getting better at writing down my thoughts because I think it really does help make me feel better sometimes. There is just something about getting stuff off of your chest in writing versus saying, or screaming it out loud. It probably has something to do with the fact you can gather your thoughts a lot more when you are writing them down.

Anywho. So a lot has been going on, like I always seem to say recently. I finally won the Bombshell Roulette Championship, and as fantastic as it felt to win it, it’s been quite the challenge defending and retaining it as time goes on. I told myself when I won it that I wanted to keep it as long as I could to make my reign worth something, and I hope I have done that a little bit, but I feel like there is still more to do. I don’t know, I guess only time will tell. But I need to be a better champion, too, because I have represented myself or SCW the way I should as one of their champions.

So this week kicks off a couple of big events in SCW. The Blast From the Past tournament and the next big tour. I wish I could say we were touring completely in the United States, but we’re not. There are a few trips overseas, which means Artie and I will be away from my Loki baby for a bit. I know he’ll do okay, because he loves spending time with my parents, but considering he is my unofficial emotional support dog, it’ll be hard not having him with us. But I can get through this. I have before!

Artie and I are currently on our way to England for the first stop in the Battleground tour. He’s passed out next to me in his seat, bless his heart. He’s been working so hard lately trying to prepare himself for this tournament. I still can’t believe we couldn’t get him out of this. Signing him up was an honest mistake, but Christian Underwood is Christian Underwood and he wouldn’t let Artie out of it. He’s going to get some sort of sick enjoyment out of possibly seeing Artie struggle, or even get hurt, but we’ve been doing all that we could to get him prepared so neither of that happens. With Fenris’ help, of course. It’s been a long few weeks, and Artie is just glad that his first round match doesn’t happen in the first week.

But mine does!

I wasn’t even going to sign up after this fiasco with Artie’s contract happened. I was going to focus on helping him and getting him ready, but they needed one more Bombshell at the last minute so I went ahead and tossed my name into the fold. We also held out hope that we would get drawn as partners, but of course that didn’t happen. I’m not disappointed with who either of us got as our partners, though! I think we both stand a good chance, I’m just trying not to think about the if/when situation that our teams get booked against one another. We will worry about that when the time comes!

So I got paired with the new Internet Champion, Peter Vaughn. Even if he wasn’t the Internet Champion, I’d still like my chances because he’s a former Roulette Champion so I know he’ll carry his own weight in this tournament. I hope I can do the same. Last year I thought that Jack and I had a decent shot at winning, and we did pretty good but it just didn’t work out. I was a different Bobbie back then and Jack may or may not say this, but I am to blame for us not winning last year. But this year will be different! I’ve been on a roll since I came back, and I’m not about to ruin things now. Plus, if Peter and I win and I’m still the Bombshell Roulette Champion, I would have the opportunity to become a double champion! I mean, only temporarily, but just the accomplishment alone would be huge.

Then again…am I really ready to go after the World Bombshell Championship? Some might say I am, given how much I have improved lately, but I just want to pace myself. I don’t want to be one of those people that just jumps from title to title just because. I want to make an impact in SCW. I want to continue to be a success so that maybe someday MY name will be in the Hall of Fame. Okay…I’m getting a little ahead of myself here. I have to think about the present. Not the maybe distant future.

Anyway…I need to wake Artie up soon. I almost feel bad about doing that, because he’s been so tired lately with all the training he’s been doing. He’s been working so hard. And looking at his sweet sleeping face, it just brings back all the feelings about me not being able to have a baby. He deserves to be a daddy, and I think a mini Artie would be just adorable. But…I guess life has other plans for us.

What plans that may be still remains to be seen. But I guess I should really stop avoiding having a serious conversation with him about it…

After finishing writing her most recent journal entry, Bobbie closes her journal and tucks it away back into her carry-on bag. She looks at Artie as he is still sleeping soundly and a tiny smile appears on her face. They hadn’t been married quite a year yet, but the fact that they had known each other practically their entire lives, it felt like they had been married a long time ago. And as much as Artie would do for Bobbie, Bobbie would do even more for him.

They would be arriving in England soon. The pilot had made the announcement over the intercom a short while ago, and Artie had somehow managed to sleep through it. Bobbie puts her hand on Artie’s shoulder and gently nudges him, trying to wake him up. He moves just a bit, not ready to open his eyes, so Bobbie nudges him again. “Artie. Honey, wake up.” She says, trying not to laugh. It was like trying to wake a sleeping child in a way. “We’re going to be landing soon. Wake up.”

Artie then draws in a deep breath and yawns, his eyes slowly opening. He sits up straight in his seat and rubs his eyes, the exhaustion still very much apparent. “Already?” He asks, looking around as other passengers are also starting to wake from their own naps. “I wasn’t even asleep that long.”

Bobbie laughs. “It probably feels like it, huh?” She replies, shaking her head. “But you’ve been out for a while. It’s okay. You needed it.”

Artie stares at her for a moment and yawns again, letting his body slowly start to wake even more. “Please tell me you got some sleep.” And there was his concern for her. She knew he would ask that question as soon as he woke up.

She shrugs and replies, “I dozed off for a little bit.” She wasn’t lying. She did manage to get a little bit of sleep, but sleeping for an extended period of time on an airplane didn’t exactly come easy to her. “Don’t worry, sweetie. I’m fine. You needed the sleep more than I did anyway.”

Artie shakes his head. “We both needed the sleep, Bobbie.” He says, still concerned that she didn’t sleep more. Considering how long of a flight it was to England, this could affect her by the time her match came around. “You can’t afford to be sleep deprived this weekend.”

Bobbie laughs and shrugs again. “I’ll be fine, Artie. I promise.” She pauses for a few moments, deciding how she wants to approach her next words. “When we get settled into our hotel room and such, we need to have a talk.” It probably wasn’t the best choice of words, but it was all she could come up with.

Artie turns and stares at her. The look on his face is a mixture of confused and worried, because when someone says they need to have a talk like Bobbie just did, it is almost never a good sign. “That doesn’t sound encouraging. Everything okay?”

She nods. “Relax, honey. We just need to have a serious conversation about something, and as much as I’d like to get it over with now, it’s not appropriate on a plane surrounded by strangers.”

He scratches his head, but after a moment, he thinks he has it figured out. There was only one thing he could think of that Bobbie was referring to. “You mean the baby subject, don’t you?” He knew it had been on Bobbie’s mind constantly as of late, and he understood why. It was something a lot of women focused on. He also knew that Bobbie wanted nothing more than the both of them to have a biological child, but that might not be possible.

“I said we would talk about this once we get settled into our hotel.” It was her way of confirming that was what she meant, without actually saying anything further about it. If they didn’t stop now, the conversation would get rolling and she didn’t want to do this here.

“Okay then.” Artie replies. “Not sure why you want to have such a big conversation just days before your match, but I won’t say anything else about it.” He would have been perfectly fine with putting off this conversation for another day when the possible stress of it wouldn’t get in the way of an important match.

Bobbie wanted to reply and tell him exactly why she wanted to have the conversation now rather than keep putting it off, but she just pats his leg and says nothing more. The conversation would come soon enough, because it had to. No more putting it off. No more waiting for one reason or another.

No matter how difficult the conversation would be, they simply had to decide just how much they wanted children, and whether or not they could accept not having a biological child. Because their path forward all depended on the answers to those questions.

A few hours later, Bobbie and Artie are finally settled into their hotel room they would be in the next few days. The jet lag was already starting to sink in and both were ready to get some much needed sleep. Before that could happen, though, they needed to talk. And before Bobbie could bring up the subject, Artie broke the silence between them and just blurted out what was on his mind.

“So what is so important about the baby subject that just can’t wait?” Again, poor choice of wording, but it was all he could come up with, and Bobbie manages to let out a chuckle.

“Right down to business, huh?” Bobbie replies, laughing again. She sits up in the bed, leaning against the large headboard, and Artie does the same. Guess it was now or never. “It can’t wait because, depending on what we decide, affects things going forward. Especially for me if and when Peter and I get eliminated from the tournament.”

Artie raises an eyebrow. “What we decide? I’m confused. What is this all about?”

Bobbie sighs. She closes her eyes and gathers her thoughts, trying to make this as easy as possible. Although nothing about this was easy at all. “Is having kids something we don’t want to pass up on? And not only that, but if I can’t give us a biological child, are you okay with that, too?” Two questions that seem so simple, but were anything but. Deep down, Artie knew the answer to both, and he was about to respond but Bobbie had to continue before he did. “Because if we really want to try to have a biological child, we need to act sooner and not later. IVF is going to really be my only option, and even that isn’t a guarantee.”

There was so much for Artie to process with everything Bobbie just spilled on him. And she had a point. IVF was not only costly, but physically challenging as well. “Well…” He starts, pausing to gather his own thoughts. “I don’t know why you are leaving this decision completely up to me, because if you really want to try for a baby, I am on board. But…you’d have to be done with wrestling so we would have to wait either way.”

Bobbie shakes her head. “We wouldn’t necessarily have to wait.” She replies, confusing him even more. “If and when Peter and I are eliminated, and if I lose the Bombshell Roulette Championship, that would give me the opportunity to take some time off to focus on this. If we go another route, though…” Talk about a huge decision to make.

“Oh…” Artie says, at a loss for words almost. “Well…what do we do then?”

And that…was the million dollar question. Bobbie drew in a deep breath and shrugged, and the two stared at one another, quietly pondering their decision long and carefully.

Their future depended on it…

Heya, hiya, hello everyone! I’m going to just cut down to the chase and get right to business here because holy moly time is flying by lately! Blast From The Past is here again and I can’t believe we’re already on round one week one! Not to mention, me and my partner drew the short stick and got booked the first week. Less time to prepare, but oh well I guess!

I’m gonna be honest after Artie mistakenly signed up for the tournament himself, I wasn’t going to sign up. I wanted to make sure he was ready and wouldn’t get hurt, but they needed a spot filled at the last minute so…I said what the hell. I’d be wrestling either way so why not add my name into the tournament and possibly win myself a World Bombshell Championship opportunity?!

I was hoping that Artie and I would get paired together by chance, but that was a little too hopeful because it was a slim chance. I ended up getting paired with the man who just beat hunky butt Miles Kasey for the Internet Championship, Peter Vaughn! Bummer for Miles losing the title, but I have no doubt he’ll get another chance. Or maybe a chance at the World Heavyweight title! You go Miles!

I don’t know Peter very well, but I still like my chances with him as a partner! I just hope that it’s not like last year where he doesn’t trust me, because let me tell you, the back and forth bickering with Jack Washington was exhausting! In the end maybe Jack was right, because it was my fault we lost, but I still did everything I could to get us to go all the way! Hey, mind out of the gutter folks. You know what I meant.

Anywho…so I hope Peter can trust me. I hope he can see that I’m a champion just as much as he is and I want this team to work and make it all the way to the finals. I want our team to be looked at as the team to beat! And that is saying something considering we’re going up against a team that has a former World Heavyweight Champ in it! And apparently there is some bad blood or whatever between Peter and Matthew, so…this should be interesting!

But I don’t really need to focus on Matthew, now do I? Nope! I have to worry about his partner, the one that I will be facing. Some new chick named Kasey Vex! Umm…who?! Look, I understand the tournament is open to everyone outside of SCW, but come on…give me something to go on here! How do I prepare to face someone I know nothing about?! It’s one of the things I don’t really like about this tournament. But ah well…I’m gonna do my best!

I’ll do what I can to find anything on this chick to get ready but as far as I can tell, she’s just…unknown. So far be it from me to go out there and let her get the best of me and advance in this tournament. She’ll probably be like so many others that just show up, and once they lose, they’re gone. They don’t even stick around, so why should someone like THAT win the whole damn thing and get a shot at our top title?!

They shouldn’t! Dedicated and loyal SCW superstars deserve it. And we’re all going to show them that. Quit showing up trying to take our spotlight just because it has a guaranteed shot at the top title as the final prize! If there is one thing I’m happy about, it’s that my Bombshell Roulette Championship isn’t on the line in this match too, because I’ll be DAMNED if I would let her get a shot at something I worked my booty off for!

Peter and I have a lot of work ahead of us. There’s no question about it. But I have faith we can work together and get the job done! One match at a time. One week at a time. One opponent at a time.

Ariana won the Triple Threat Match against Georgie and Seleana though it was under unusual circumstances as Georgie was arrested for Assault and Battery in the middle of her entrance leaving Seleana and Ariana to duke it out, only for Georgie to return at the end of the match, knock Seleana out, get hit with the Meat Your Maker by Ariana, pinned and then arrested again! Whilst the legal status/whether Georgie was still employed by SCW was up in the air one thing wasn’t: that match had afforded Ariana a shot at the World Bombshell Championship! Her first since Violent Conduct and her first championship opportunity on Climax Control! But there was a catch.

Julianna was no longer the World Bombshell Champion as she had lost the title in the main event of Blaze of Glory to Ariana’s old enemy Kayla Richards! Kayla and Ariana have been at each other’s throats since they signed with SCW in 2022 and it was easier to list the times they hadn’t faced each other than it was to list the times that they had, worse yet, at least for Ariana? She has never been able to beat Kayla no matter how many times she’s tried! But will this match be the one to end that losing streak? Will Ariana become a Triple Crown Winner and end Kayla’s reign before it even started?

If there’s one thing I can say about the ending to the Triple Threat Match against Seleana and Georgie? It definitely happened.

I was getting warmed up for the match with the police approached Mark and Christian looking for Georgie and well, I didn’t even know what was happening at first, I saw the officers approaching Georgie on the ramp but didn’t pay it much mind until she was actually arrested! As for the match itself? I had it well in hand, Seleana’s never been able to get the better of me in singles or Triple Threat Matches and even if Georgie didn’t rush back down I would’ve had the win.

Only real difference is who I pinned and what happened to them after the match really.

Still, getting two wins in a row is a great feeling after the rough start my year had but the next cycle is going to be a big one no matter what, not only is it SCW’s first International Tour of the year but it’s also when this year’s Blast from the Past Tournament is taking part, I’m not competing this year because I kept putting off signing up until it was too late but the tournament is always a blast to see regardless.

Sure, my bookings will probably dry up over the course of the cycle because they need room for the tournament matches but I’ll take what I can get.

”England, France, Turkey and the US, give Mark and Christian credit, the locations aren’t as random this time around.” I commented to Francisco as I continued to pack away my things for the upcoming tour and he nodded in agreement. ”Seriously, I think that second to last stop on the tour was the most attention that small Scottish town’s ever gotten outside of its immediate area!”

”I can’t confirm that for sure but it wouldn’t surprise me.” Francisco responded with a shrug and I grinned before going over the list in my head. ”Toiletrees, bath stuff, clothes, wrestling gear, I think you’ve covered most of it Ari.”

”Maybe but it’s still good to double check this stuff.” I responded before most of our pets joined us, Echo, Oreo, and Zeus all came right up to me and I stroked the three dogs once they were within reach while Athena perched herself on the bed, content to watch me as she purred. ”Julianna’s still down to pet sit for us when we’re on the tour, right?”

”Yeah, and we have a backup pet sitter in case anything happens to her.” Francisco nodded in response to my question before I heard my phone go off, it was on the bed next to Athena and I reached up and grabbed it whilst the cat watched on. ”Have they announced the new card already? I was expecting it to be at least a three hour wait.”

”Yeah they have, guess the bosses felt that they couldn’t sit on the first card of the cycle for much longer.” I responded with a shrug before sitting down next to the bad with my legs crossed as I got ready to read it. ”Caleb’s return match is opening the show, he’s got Bill again, the other Blast from the Past Matches………” I trailed of when I saw the Main Event. ”Oh you’ve got to be kidding me!”

”What’s wrong?” Francisco asked when he saw the frustrated look on my face and I glanced up at him. ”Because based on the look on your face? It’s not happy news.”

”It’s more of a good news bad news situation really, good news is I’m fighting for a title in the first Main Event of the Cycle, apparently because of my weird ass win in the Triple Threat.” I explained as I read through the match description, ”Bad news is, it’s for the title Kayla literally just won!”

”The World Bombshell Title?” Francisco asked and I nodded to confirm his question. ”But you’ve never beaten Kayla, singles, tag team or otherwise.”

”Yeah, literally the only match where I faced Kayla and wasn’t pinned by her was when she and Melissa faced me for the Bombshell Internet Title at last year’s Blaze of Glory, the show that ended Kayla’s second reign, among other things.” I commented as I shook my head and Francisco nodded as he got the idea. ”And if we want to get into matches where pins weren’t applicable? I wasn’t even eliminated by Kayla in the first Internet Title Battle Royal I took part in, that was Tempest!”

”Yeah, you don’t exactly have the best record against Kayla to say the least, but who knows? Maybe the third time will be the charm?” Francisco offered and I frowned, still not sure of what to think of this. ”Besides Ari, your Go Gym Training will have prepared you for title matches like this!”

”Yeah, that’s what I said last year when I was confirmed as the challenger for Roxi’s defence at Into the Void and Courtney’s defence at Violent Conduct but you don’t see “2x World Bombshell Champion” on my record, do you?!” I asked with frustration clear in my voice before I let out a heavy sigh. ”I should be a lot more excited for a title match, especially for the top title in the division, but I’m just sick of facing Kayla in some capacity! Surely there’s another Wolfslair member they can throw me against instead?”

”Or at the very least, someone fresher than you, we both know Richards vs. Callaway would be a hard hitting match for instance.” Francisco nodded in response to my statement and I had to agree with that idea. ”If nothing else? Use the flight to England as a way to mull it over, Kayla or not, it’s still a huge opportunity, especially if you end her reign before it can get started.”

”Not arguing with that.” I responded before we got back to packing.

The Disaster Diaries, god knows how many feet in the air, on a airplane

(on camera, start vlog)

As I started filming her vlog from within the airplane cabin I had a lot on my mind to say the least.

”Not exactly the most ideal place for me to film my first Vlog since Blaze of Glory, but I figured it was best to get my thoughts on this Main Event against Kayla out of the way! Because clearly the bosses haven’t booked me against her enough!” I commented as I shook myhead, staring into the laptop’s webcam as it rested on the small table in front of me. ”I don’t even have this thing connected to the internet because, well, I’m in the middle of a transatlantic flight to England, meaning I won’t be able to upload this thing until I’m checked into my hotel room in Hastings, but I’m working around that because I have so many things about Ariana Angelos vs. Kayla Richards part one million to say that I don’t even know where to start!

Oh wait, I do know, because it starts with one simple question! How many times are me and Kayla going to get booked against each other before either of us leave the company?!”

Honestly!

”Hell, I’m pretty sure Kayla herself is sick of facing me if her tweet after her first defence was announced was any indication!” I added as I brushed some hair over my shoulder. ”Off course, this match isn’t any regular match, rather it’s Kayla’s first defence since she took the World Bombshell Championship from Julianna at Blaze of Glory! That off course means the pressure’s on Kayla to show that she can defend the title she’s just won, we’re both former champions in other divisions, or in Kayla’s case one half of the current Mixed Tag Team Champions, AKA the other title I failed to take from her grasp recently! If it feels like I’m not my usual fiery self during this promo? Blame my surroundings, I don’t want to wake up the other passengers, much less my lovely husband Francisco, and get a noise complaint before I even touch down but know this Kayla.

If I can spoil your little “Ms. Two Belts” party by taking the top prize in the division from you? I will without a second thought!”

Local Café, Hastings, England
Wednesday the 24th of April 2024, 12:00pm

Nothing like catching a bit of lunch with two of the men in your life, right?

But as I am set to challenge for the World Bombshell Championship on British soil for the second time in my career (and I’m half expecting the same thing to happen the next time SCW has a show un England) I needed a chance to relax and clear my head before I headed into the title match with Kayla.

And who better to clear my head with than my bestie and his fiancé?

”Thanks again for meeting up with me.” I thanked Miles and Carter as we sat down at the table in the café. ”I can’t believe they are booking me into a match with Kayla again, it feels like forever since I actually faced someone new.”

“Err, Ari? Your last Climax Control match was with Ericka, that was someone new.” Miles reminded me and I signed. “And that was on the last show before Blaze of Glory.”

”Okay but what about consistently? Before that we had the Mixed Tag Team Title Match Carter, and I had the Blood Bath Brawl, and that Mixed Tag Team Match with Ben and Sam and then my last Internet Title match!” I let out a deep breath as I leaned back in my chair, a waitress came over to take our orders and we just ordered some drinks, we had eaten breakfast at the hotel and we weren’t feeling quite hungry enough for lunch yet. ”Hell, if they had to book me in a title match, why not the Internet Title? Tempest was meant to be my second challenger before Courtney tried to break my hand and they never even entertained the idea of booking a return match.”

”And it’s not like they haven’t booked Go Gym vs. Go Gym matches before.” Carter nodded in agreement as he leaned forward. ”But it’s still a World Bombshell Title Match, that should excite someone who got screwed out of a title match twice.” Carter pointed out and I just shook my head.

”If literally anyone else had dethroned Julianna then yeah, my excitement would be there, but I’m frankly sick of constantly wrestling Kayla!” I grunted in frustration as I leaned back. ”First time was cool because we were both relatively new to the promotion, second time we didn’t even interact in the Internet Title Battle Royal, third time made sense because I had just been injected into the Internet Title Scene after my Roulette Reign ended, and that’s the last I’ll speak on that considering everything that went on during that reign.”

“Yeah, that was definitely a time we’d rather forget for all the good it did to your career.” Miles nodded in agreement and Carter quickly agreed. “But I get the picture, you’ve faced Kayla so much that you’re getting sick of it, but what now?”

”What now? How about ending that bitch’s reign before it can get started and becoming the latest Bombshell to achieve the Triple Crown?” I responded with a small grin as I brushed some hair over my shoulder. ”I may be sick of wrestling Kayla but wrestling for the top title in the promotion will never get it old, even if the person holding it is the most toxic person in the division.”

”At least you have your priorities straight Ariana.” Carter nodded in agreement as the waitress brought our drinks over. ”And even if you do lose? You’ll rebuild.”

”Feels like that’s all I’ve been doing since I lost the Internet Title to Courtney in December.” I grunted in response before we started enjoying our drinks.

The Disaster Diaries, Ariana’s hotel room, Hastings, England
Wednesday the 24th of April 2024, 21:00pm

*on camera, start vlog, promo time*

Here we go again.

”There is definitely a joke to be made about the definition of insanity whenever the bosses decide to book me and Kayla in a match together.” I commented bluntly as I flipped some hair over my shoulder. ”Or whenever the likes of Mercedes Vargas finds themselves booked for a title match but I digress! All I did was win one Triple Threat Match against the Golden Briefcase Holder, who, I remind you, was arrested mid entrance, and Seleana Zdunich and suddenly I qualify for Kayla’s first defence? I don’t remember that Triple Threat being advertised as a #1 Contenders Match for the World Bombshell Championship!

Then again, maybe the bosses thought such advertising would be redundant since Georgie was the Golden Briefcase Holder before she was arrested, either way? I’m failing to see the logic here and I’m the challenger in this match!”

Can’t make this up!

”And Kayla? What’s there left for me to say about you that I haven’t said a million times already? I hate you, nothing’s going to change that, it doesn’t matter what continent we fight on, what country we fight in, hell we could be the first wrestlers to wrestle a Zero G Match on the moon and I’d still hate your guts.” I added before quickly shaking my head. ”And I just realized that that match couldn’t possibly work because of the lack of gravity, or the fact that we’d be wrestling in space suits because I doubt either of us would want to die in the vacuum of space! I’m getting off topic here so I’m just going to be blunt here since that’s Kayla’s favourite hobby.

The Bombshell Division would be a lot better off without you in it Kayla!”

Yep.

”I know I joined a few weeks before Kayla had her second match, but I can’t be the only one remembering the division being a much happier place before this bitch arrived! Oh sure Kayla, you have the respect of Julianna, and here I thought you considered the opinions of former champions to be irrelevant, or is that just me? You know what? It probably is.” I added as ran a hand through my hair. ”Because seriously, the Bombshell Division already had one toxic bitch running rampant when Andrea wrestled here and I’m aware that she’s a much better person now but let’s be honest, this division brings out the worst in its athletes.

Take me for instance, normally I’m a polite, happy smiley young woman, but when I end up across the ring from Kayla she knows how to push all of my fucking buttons!”

Makes sense doesn’t it?

”Maybe that’s why the bosses keep booking this damn match, they want to see less of my happy side and more of angry side! Yet when I let that side take over after Violent Conduct suddenly everyone forgot that I got fucked over by Courtney and her useless wife!” I grunted in frustration as I folded my arms. ”Oh yeah, that’s another thing you just love to bring up whenever we bring up, my record! Because it’s not like I wrestled some of the best wrestlers around and held my own even in defeat or, in the worst case scenarios, got screwed over because managers can do whatever the fuck they want to help their clients win without repercussions! Oh I’m sorry, was I supposed to feel sorry for the woman with the broken arm who cost me the World Bombshell Title?

Cry me a river!”

It’s that simple.

”I swear to god Kayla, if we wrestle again, at any point between now and New Year’s Eve, I am going to scream!” I exclaimed as I shook my head. ”But if there is a silver lining to be found? It’s the fact that winning the title from you means that your little reigns gets snapped out just like that.” I added as I snapped my fingers for emphasis. ”Then who’ll be brought down to nothing hmmm Kayla? You’ve had had every title opportunity practically gift wrapped for you on a silver platter since you signed with SCW two years ago, only title you haven’t won is the Roulette Title, a division you hate despite spending barely a cup of tea in it! It would be a shame if someone knocked you so far down the totem pole that your next appearance on PPV is either defending the Mixed Tag Titles or challenging Bobbie.

Oh, wait, did I say shame? Because I meant to say great thing!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

”Because frankly Kayla? It’s about damn time that someone knocked you down a peg, and you may laugh at the thought of me being the one to knock you off your high shores but I’ve been underestimated in SCW for most of my career as a Bombshell, it’s time people realized that I graduated from the Go Gym for a damn good reason!” I added as I flipped some hair over my shoulder. ”An who knows? Maybe you’ll give Finn back problems from having to carry your sullen ass around for the rest of the cycle, you know, like you claimed Carter does when we team together, totally fucking ignorant like you always are! I look forward to making you bask in the Golden Angel’s light on Sunday night as Justin declares “The Greek Goddess” Ariana Angelos the new World Bombshell Champion at “New Year, New Angel Part VI: Spoiling The Occasion!”!”

I turned off the webcam as the scene fades.

Scene One | Off-Camera

It was kind of strange to think about. Luna and Sean had crossed paths a few times in the past. The TRIAD draft party, the finals of the Strength Tribulations. She was certain it had likely happened more than she even knew. But those were two she could remember. So colour her surprised when she didn’t somehow get screwed over with her pairing. Or at least, she assumed she hadn’t.

Part of her was expecting the Bill Barnharts of the world to be stuck with her, and as much as she loved the Barnharts… well. There’s some cruelty in this world best not thought of. Alex had somehow got stuck with Calaway again, and after she’d spent half the night cackling at the thought, she did feel somewhat sympathetic for him. As much as she disdains the woman, Alexander himself may have been quieter on it.

But boy was that woman not a pleasant thought in their household.

Duchess, their gorgeous short-legged Beagle, had decided today was a naughty day, and was making it an absolute agony for Luna to get herself put together. Her hair was half-brushed, and still slightly too wet to do anything nice with. She’d put on her primer and some foundation, but looked more like a ghost than a human being right now. Wrapped up in a dressing gown, and a cigarette hanging from her mouth she was about ready to give up on the phone call.

Alex was out on a walk. Why hadn't he taken the dog on the walk? Nobody could answer such questions. Clearly not the man who had decided to walk himself every day lately without the dog. But that meant that whilst she was trying to put her life together for the day, she had to deal with a decidedly naughty little hound. Did that mean she had lost track of time? Potentially.

But that would not stop her from attempting to get her life together, because if there was anything that Luna Pasilno was good at? It definitely wasn’t being a functional human being.

“What are you eating? Drop it! Drop it! Luna started yelling as Duchess took off through the apartment, chewing away on something that she definitely was not meant to be eating. Chasing the animal through the apartment, she finally noticed the time. When had 10AM rolled around?

With her fingers halfway down the dog’s throat, attempting to pry whatever bit of food it had managed to find from her slobbering and excited jowls. She loved Duchess, but sometimes she really wished they hadn’t picked a fucking Hound.

So to say she was just the slightest bit spooked when her phone began to ring? That was an understatement. Successfully prying what was left of a lolly snake from the dog’s jaws, she went to pull her phone from her gown pocket. The dog took this as a moment of freedom, careening into Luna’s legs and sending her tumbling, and in the process? She accidentally answered that phone call.

Thankfully, assuming Sean wasn’t a foot guy, the only thing that would be visible on the call right now would be one of her feet as she had landed smack on her ass in the middle of the apartment. What she had not taken into account was now that she had to somehow have this conversation, after answering it with her feet being in view, and the sound of her going ass over tit.

“So, I didn’t realise the time. And… Do you have dogs, angel? We have this one crazy little demon. Duchess, named after Alex’s fuckin’ childhood farm creature. Anyway, we do not have an apartment big enough for this beastie, and she decided that this morning was THE day to run roughshod over us. So, if you do not mind a smidge, I’m going to need an extra… twenty minutes to put my life together. That fine with you, sugar? I can’t hear you, so I’m going to assume yes. Thank you! ” Luna started word vomiting, as she sprawled towards her phone. For emphasis she managed to hit the hang-up button with her toe.

Rolling over and pushing herself onto her feet, she grumbled. Duchess had decided that she was now all tuckered out and was going to lay down on the couch for an early morning nap.

“You naughty little bitch.” Luna said with a heavy sigh. Admitting defeat in this moment, she waddled her way back into the bedroom. Make-up being applied, hair dryer on and drying her hair. Nineteen minutes later, she was actually put together. The sniffling at her feet alerted her to the fact that Duchess had not continued her nap and was now wanting attention. Despite her earlier attempts to kill Luna.

Phone out, cigarette hanging from her lip again. Dressing gown off, simple white crop on, leather jacket over the top. Skinny black jeans, and she was a star in the making once again. Not the disheveled woman who previously answered the phone with only her foot.

“Come on sweetheart. We need to talk to the boy with the funny accent.” Luna cooed to the dog, playing with her ears and ruffling the fur on her head. Striding through the apartment, she stepped out onto the balcony. Twenty one minutes after the initial call, and she felt ready to be human once more.

Cigarette lit, a quick selfie camera check, and she was ready to go. Facetime may be one of the worst things ever invented. She was not a fan. Alas, the forsaking that one must make. She unlocked, hit the call history and held the phone out. Duchess clambering up into her lap. The goofy beagle, and the surprisingly put-together, sharp-featured lady. The call was answered, and there they were. Face-to-face once again for the first time in nearly seven months. Surely it couldn’t through a screen.

“Okay, once again. Apologies for earlier. This little creature is a menace until she’s had a morning lay down, and now she’s all better. But that’s enough about enough, lover. You’ve seen my dainty little piggies, so the least you can do is tell me a bit about yourself, Mr Brand New Daddio.”

Sean just looked mildly amused, as if he were still trying to get used to Luna’s nuances and personality. He waved a hand in a dismissive manner.

“It’s all good, Luna, it’s all good. I do find it slightly amusing though that you can go from German suplexing someone through a flaming table to getting bowled over by a beagle.”

Sean chuckled to himself. Luna smiled in response, ruffling the ears of the dopey little creature that was resting in her lap. A stark contrast to the violent woman Sean had noted.

“Well, sometimes little baby angels like this one are the biggest trials and tribulations. People are easy, little doggies like this one? Now that’s hard, sugar. Alex wanted a cat, I wanted a dog. We compromised, and got a dog, and now she punishes me for my choices. She loves him, and mostly wants me to have an unfortunate accident. Don’t you sweet girl?” Luna spoke softly, the longer she drawled on, the more her accent reverted to home. Less of the world, and more of the south.

“Well, I can’t speak for pets, although I am more of a dog guy myself. I do have a baby girl here though. She’s only a week old but she’s already proving to be quite the handful. If this is what she’s like in days I can only imagine what it’s going to be when she’s at school…”

Into view of the camera, was the image of a little baby girl. It was hard to see in a FaceTime conversation and Sean had clearly managed to do what most parents seem to and master the art of juggling two things at once. The baby’s face was smooshed up, buried into Sean’s neck as he leaned his cheek into hers.

“...but I’ll worry about that later.”

Luna swooned at the sight of the baby. The dog was a surrogate for a baby in her life. She’d never felt all that maternal, but there was something about the sight of children that warmed her inside. Though she’d never really want to put another Pasilno into this world.

“Animals fill that void. Raven got the snip many moons ago, and we can’t… we don’t want kids really. But I do love the smell of little ones.” Luna said softly, seemingly catching herself at one point.

She took a long drag on her cigarette, and exhaled a heavy cloud of smoke. Something in her eyes spoke differently than what her words did. Her heart didn’t seem to entirely match up with her words.

“But enough about things that can’t use the toilet right, and smell like corn chips. We got some working to do, don’t we, sugar? So I’m thinking, we should go on a little friend date, climb some castles and see how we mesh as people.” Luna said as Duchess decided she was done being on show and took off somewhere. Luna watched her for a moment, before bringing her attention back to the call. Moreso on the little one, than Sean. The next noise that was heard wasn’t the strange Scottish-American hybrid accent she’d heard before. It was softer, gargled. It dawned on Luna that the baby had started crying.

“Sshhh, it’s okay darling, you’re alright! Yes, you are! Daddy’s right here…uh-oh, I think we have a code brown situation! Did you go fill your nappy? Did you?”

Sean looked off-camera. It was times like this, that she was actively reminded as to why there was some peace in the world in not having the little stink machines.

“Babe! Can you take Amelia for a moment! She needs a clean nappy and I’m on the phone!”

Moments later and a whirl of sky blue hair came into view on screen. Her face couldn’t quite be made out fully but Luna took an educated guess this was Mrs Parker as Sean gently off-handed the little one to mum.

“Thanks, babe, I appreciate it. Bye-bye darling! Daddy will come give you loads of tummy kisses after he’s done speaking to his new friend!”

He turned back to the phone screen.

“Sorry about that… Meet-up? Yeah, I think that’s a great idea, actually. I’ve seen your ring-work, it speaks for itself but from my experience, two people who are great in the ring but don’t mesh as partners tend not to do so well. To be fair, Alex and I probably should get along better than we actually do but I know he’s a decent guy so if he trusts and loves you… I’m more than willing to make the effort to trust you as well. I have some promotional work SCW have requested I carry out, part of my one-off contract for the Blast From The Past in Hastings before the show. Y’know, Promote Climax Control! You’re from the UK! Hype it up, cut a promo! Perhaps we can have a little catch-up, see the sights?”

“Get your lawyers to double check the contracts. Mark and Christian are sneaky, heartless fuckers.” Luna said sternly. If there was anything that was consistent in the Rabenschwarz-Pasilno household, it was a fear of authority and an assumption that their bosses were out to get them.

“Lexi-baby is… Lexi-baby. A heart hurt by the sharpness of life. He’s just protective of himself. Protective of those he loves, too. And we’re all just a little bit sideways of normal on this side of the broken fence, baby. But we always have each other. Loyalty runs deep in our kingdom.” Luna continued on. The comfort settled in a little; and with it a bit of the mask slipping. The delusional kids of The Conspiracy.

And then…

There was a loud crash from inside the apartment, and the tell-tale sound of skittering feet. Luna stood up quickly, and shook her head.

“I have to go see what destruction is being caused before I end up like a screaming baby too. I’ll message you for details on the meet-up later. Unless the dog kills me. In which case. Lovely talking to you, lover.” Luna said quickly, and without even giving it a moment to settle, had hung up and taken off.

There was a surprising amount of rubbish on the floor, and a bin that should definitely not be on its side.

It was going to be a long fucking day.

Broken Ribs and Broken Dreams
Scene Two | On-Camera

“My first year here, there were ups and downs. Rocky starts, rocky finishes. Transitional title reigns, and a less than stellar ride. But in that year I did something that almost no other woman in this company can say they even came close to. I beat Crystal for the Roulette Championship, and gave Jessie the two best matches of the entirety of her time around that division. I took the Queen of Hardcore, Alexandra Calaway and showed that she couldn’t even come close to the dance when I’m across from her.”

“I stood as the Queen of Vanity, the Queen of The Conspiracy and in that? I found myself. I found The Masochist, I found The Idol, Luna Pasilno. Shedding ideas, gimmicks and pretence. Shedding that to find myself standing tall. To find myself being the person I can be happy with. I said that this was going to be the year that I prove that I can hang. That I prove, I’m not just another pretty face. I prove that I’m more than the side piece of Alexander Raven. This? This is the year of Luna fucking Pasilno, The Idol of Sin City Wrestling. And to put my mark on it? I reminded everyone just who the fuck I am at Blaze of Glory. I broke a goddamn kendo stick over Sam Marlowe. I put that mouthy little bitch who’s crocodile mouth was writing checks her candy ass couldn’t cash, straight through a table.”

“The Conspiracy, Alexander Raven and Luna Pasilno, we aren’t here to fuck around. Oh no, sweet baby angels. We are not here to be the pretty faces and the delusional kicking blocks. We are here to show that we mean fucking business. If we’re going to be stuck here at the whims and wishes of the surrogate daddies, Mark and Christian. Then we’re going to take everything they love and break it. We’re going to throw that tantrum and spit the dummy. All the toys out, and all the kids made to cry. But right now? The Blast from the Past tournament.”

“The tournament that exists to strap a rocket to the backside of the next big names. A man and woman who, at the end of it all are guaranteed an opportunity at the World Championships of both divisions. Poetically, it would have been perfect if The Conspiracy got to do this journey together. A journey to the paired crowns. Winner takes all, would’ve been an apt end to what would have been a storybook journey. Unfortunately, the powers that be continue to pretend that they are benevolent and forgiving. That this is a case of random luck and random chance.”

“There’s no random luck in the fact that they paired Alex up with the bitch who cost him everything last year. The bitch that was the fucking unlucky thirteen for my dear husband’s twenty twenty three. There’s no random luck in that Alex is getting screwed once again. But in a shimmering beam of light. It seems that the surrogate fathers have seen the error in their ways. Punishing their perfect little baby girl, Luna Pasilno. That was a bad idea. Trying to hurt their ideal was a terrible move. Trying to hurt me? I ain’t going to burn down in fucking ash and timber.”

“So they’ve given me what I believe is the golden opportunity. Not the golden opportunity. But an opportunity regardless. Sean Parker and Luna Pasilno. The oddball couple destined to take the whole damn thing and show the world. See, I’m actually somewhat familiar with Sean’s work. Something we preach and follow in The Conspiracy is having our fucking eyes open to the world. No blinders, no ignoring what happens outside these doors. Sean is a multi time champion. He was the guaranteed draft pick in the Wit Trials of TRIAD. A series that includes some of the best in the fucking world to do it.”

“A man who went toe to toe with Matt Knox, Peter Vaughn and hell even Alexander Raven. One of few men who can claim victory over the reigning and defending monarchs of Sin City Wrestling. Sean is one of them. So with Sean at my side? I’d say that Kayla Richards only needs worry about one woman coming for not just the Bombshell Women’s World Championship, but also that lofty Mixed Tag Team belt. And though I have immense love in my heart and soul, and think the only marquee match that Sin City truly needs is the rematch of Alexander Raven and Finn Whelan, I’ll settle for Sean Parker. Every kingdom needs to be undone from the base to make it collapse. And so, if Sean needs to take the place for the interim. Then so be it.”

“But this before us? This is even deeper than that for me. Hello Kat, it’s so nice to see you back again. I do apologise for pulling the plug on our last head to head. Broken ribs are a bitch to push through, I’m sure you understand. And, admittedly. There was just a little bit of egg on my face for losing the Bombshell Internet Championship to one, Ariana Angelos, right after I’d made a mockery of every other woman on that journey. In fact, you were one of those women too, weren’t you? Yes, my precious little typewriter.”

“I took extra special notice of you in the past, Kat. The woman riding the laurels of old achievements. Dancing and prancing your way forward, riding high on the coattails of your infinitely more successful brother. A woman who is all buddy buddy with the surrogate fathers of Sin City. A woman who stands there and fawns for the adulation of a people that no longer fucking care. Ah, dear sweet Kat. Six months after you failed to win the championship that I did win. Let's say five months? Five months since I had to delay our next foray due to unforeseen medical issues. Five months and you’ve done absolutely fuck all since. Miss Manners? A fucking warm-up match and you know it.”

“There was a golden opportunity for you to stay the fuck home. There was a golden opportunity for you to take your ball and leave, and stay out of the ring. There were all the chances in the world, but some part of you. Some part of your brain demands that you come back. Waltz in and out. Leave when things get too hard, and come back when you think the playing field has devolved to your standard once again. Paired up with another hack-eye from the past in Teddy Warren. A family I’m unfortunately familiar with. A funny little one called Dawn Warren being my debut match here, in fact. You baffle me, Kat. You baffle me in ways that I cannot eloquently explain. So eloquence is not that journey here, sweet angel. No, eloquence just isn’t my fucking thing. ‘Cause this dainty little southern, she’s shown that she can fucking fight. Be it barbwire wrapped bodies, flaming fucking tables or if I get my way, chairs and brass to the skull of every mouthy bitch that decides to stick her nose into my business.”

“Kat, I want you to listen closely. I want you to understand what I’m saying. I need you to pay attention to what is going on. You are a throwaway in a tournament filled with fucking heaters. You a throwaway in a tournament where for the first time in years there is a chance for an actual challenger to the fucking crowns. You are one half, and unfortunately, the better half, of a warm up team. A team filled with a nobody and a never was. Which are you? I wonder, I wonder. Which shoe fits a little bit better for the perpetual failure that is the project of Kat Jones?”

“But this isn’t all about us, no, no. No this is more than our little tête-à-tête. I haven’t forgotten about sweet little Teddy Warren. No, no, Teddy. Teddy come to mama darling, I have many things to talk to you about. How nice it is to see you again. The man who has to overcome so much to be here. Another member of the Warren family who has done absolutely fuck all to make their name mean a single fucking thing in this business. A former Roulette Champion and…. Well that’s about it, isn’t it, Teddy? Oh, poor sweet Tedward. I know how hard it must be for you. To come back and think that things are going to be any different for you. The Blast from the Past tournament, thinking you might get paired up with the likes of a Kallie Reznik or maybe even myself. Betting all your fucking chips on a big partner, and you end up with another wannabe nothing failure in Kat Jones.”

“Oh sweet angel, I do feel for you. Not only do you have possibly the worst partner in all of the tournament. Hell, I think even Bea Barnhart would’ve given you more chances than little ol’ Kat Jones. But then you draw, for my own money, and not to toot my own horn. I am humble after all. You draw the favourites. You draw the team that everyone has their eyes on because there is no doubt. There is no question. There is no other answer. The winners of the Blast from the Past tournament. You’re fucking looking at ‘em. Luna Pasilno and Sean Parker.”

“So, Teddy. I hope you signed for some good money. Though, maybe being able to pay this month’s rent was enough of a lure for you. Because this is a one and done for you both. A one and done and then you and Kat Jones. You can pack your bags and get back in the seats where you belong. Watching the rest of us go to fucking work. Watching those of us who can fucking fight.”

“And remember.”

“The Conspiracy is here.”

A Hastings Event
Scene Three | Off-Camera(ish)

William the Conqueror, the invading Normans. The fall and failure of King Harold II, and all that was left of that iconic event in history, were these crumbling ruins. These privately owned, crumbling ruins. These ruins that looked like steps. These ruins that looked like they were begging to be climbed. There was a twinge of sadness. Being here and not being here with Alex. The King and Queen of The Conspiracy. There was a picture perfect example of that of which Alex had talked about for years here. The crumbling and decaying castles of the invisible hands that control them.

Or something like that.

The twinge of sadness was quickly overruled by the arrival of this innate desire. An innate desire to climb. An urge to cause chaos. To put the Sin City legal team to work, seeing as they had done their damndest to ensure Alex and Luna didn’t get a break. So here Luna was, looking over the green hills of the iconic sight. Her eyes fixated on a low wall, that led to a slightly higher wall, that led to the top of a doorway, and in turn the top of a crumbling battlement.

Sean was off doing his TV duties. Filming for whatever it was he was filming for. She was certain he had told her, but truth be told. She was mostly distracted by the baby. Both of the babies. The dog and the actual child. But she could see them some distance away. Filming on the battlefield itself. Which meant that all the attention was focused elsewhere. Which meant that Luna could become the conquering Queen of the ruins.

It was but a flash of movement. She ran up unto the low wall. Running the full length of it, as nearby tourists cast sideways glances. One person looked ready to say something, but decided against it after getting a proper look at Luna. Her athleticism was going to pay dividends. She leapt up onto the next wall, clearing a larger than it looked gap. Ignoring the crumbling of stones, she crawled her way up along the wall and on top of the doorway section. Staff taking note of her now.

“Excuse me miss! You can’t be up there. You need to get down!” One of them shouted, a few people now stopping to gawk and stare.

“Sorry, I don’t speak United Kingdomnian. Only American.” Luna mocked as she scrambled further up. If they wanted her down, they’d have to get her down themselves. Which from the looks of it, was unlikely to happen. What was the worst that could happen?

Springing further up, she climbed to the top of the wall, and sat on the L bend. Stones skittering and falling. The staff were conversing between themselves trying to work out what they could do to get her off the ruins without a big how-to-do. Luna, being pretty chuffed with herself, simply swung her legs and stared out into the distance. ‘Get a snap for Alex.’ she thought to herself quietly, taking her phone out.

A quick selfie, shot off to him. It seemed like Sean had finished up his obligations too as he was walking toward her.

With the camera crew.

Who were still recording.

She thought about quickly climbing down. Getting off the cameras as she wildly disrespected these protected ruins. But then decided against it as it would be a great little thing for the cameras to catch. What were Mark and Christian going to do about it? Fire her? They had yet to find a punishment that was actually going to work.

Luna! Fuck sake!” Sean shouted out at her. She simply smiled down at him, as he waved off the camera crew.

“Hi Sean, baby. Nice to see you again!” Luna shouted down, standing up slowly. Looking down she squared herself up, and took aim.

“Catch me.” Luna said and took a step forward. And then she was sailing down off the ruins and straight towards Sean. It was at this moment, she really thought some extra warning probably would have protected her. Too late for that now.

And then…

Climax Control Archives / A Busy Summer
« Last post by Eddie Lyons on April 26, 2024, 07:11:22 PM »
The air felt different in England. The Roulette Champion’s plane had landed in London a day ago, and Eddie along with Coach Kaiser had been taking in some sights and enjoying their time in The Queens Country. He had never been to the UK before. SCW was allowing him to see the world, he got to see Mexico, China, Rome and now got to spend time in the UK.

The two had found a quaint little diner and ordered the same thing. Fish and Chips. As they enjoyed their lunch, it was also time for business.

“So, Serena Riot, that’s our girl.” said Coach Kaiser, “What do we know about her?”

“Not much” said Eddie as he swallowed a bite of deep fried deliciousness, “Introduced myself on Twitter…X….whatever, anyway she said she was ready to “get after it.”. I guess she runs a company called FCW as well. She's second generation like me. Haven’t heard much of her other than that. I guess it really remains to be seen.”

“I guess so.” replied Coach Kaiser, “And Coredlia Clarke. I guess she was a big deal in the old SCU. May have to do some research into her there. As for you, I mean you really should probably just focus on Justin Smith."

“Who I’ve beaten time and time again.” said Eddie. “It feels a bit arrogant to say it, but I’m really not concerned about Justin at all. I have his number and he knows it. This one will really come down to the ladies, and I just hope Serena is able to keep up on her end of the bargain and isn’t too focused on running her own company. Maybe I can get us past Justin but I can’t carry this tournament on my own.”

“You have your Roulette Championship too.” Kaiser reminded Eddie.

“Exactly. I have a pretty full plate this summer, so I’m really gonna need my teammate on this one.”
said Eddie.

“Damn I wish it was Kallie Reznik.” said Kaiser, “I know Aaron and I would have the two of you dominating every team in that bitch.. But alas, the cards did not fall that way. Still, maybe this Serena Riot will pull her weight and help get us to the finals.”

“Maybe, either way my plan is to just do what I always do. Put up the best fight I can and show why I am the SCW Roulette Champion and one of SCW’s fastest rising stars.” said Eddie

“Of course.” said Coach Kaiser, as he munched on some fri…chips, “That’s all anyone can ask. I know you’ll give it all you can.”

“It’s what we do at The Lyons Den.” said Eddie, “We give it our all, show no surrender. Like Cobra Kai, but not assholes.”

“So Eagle Fang?” Kaiser smirked.

“Nerd. But yeah that works.” said Eddie with an eyeroll.

“Hey, you brought up Cobra Kai.” replied Coach Kaiser

“Fair.” Eddie nodded.

“Anyway, where’s our waiter?” asked Kaiser, “We need more vinegar.”

“I’ll flag them down if i see them.” said Eddie

The two continued their chatter, eventually finding their waiter so Coach Kaiser could have his extra vinegar. They both knew it was going to be a hell of a summer for Eddie Lyons as they approached Eddie’s first full year in the company. Already a champion, he still had nowhere to go but up.

__________

The Tower of London looms behind Eddie Lyons as the cameras open. He observes the scenery around him with an air of calmness and confidence, after a few moments he turns his attention to the cameras.

“Gonna be a helluva tour.” said Eddie Lyons, Roulette Championship displayed proudly on his shoulder, “This will be a first for me you know. My first tag team match, so I get to learn a new aspect of our business over this tour as well. I get to see how Eddie Lyons performs as a tag team wrestler. After all I do want to win every championship I can in this company, so I’ll need to find a partner at some point to achieve that goal.”

Eddie sighs, with a confident smile.

“That’s something you’ll learn about me Serena.” he said, “I always have goals for myself. I had a goal to win this Roulette Championship, and I did it.  I beat the best Roulette Champion this company had to do it. Now I intend to prove myself as a champion. If I win this tournament, I have a chance to become a double champion. For someone just under a year into their SCW career I’d say I’m doing pretty well for myself.”

Eddie shrugs.

“But pleased to meet you Serena, I’m Eddie.” he continued, “I know we linked up on X. But we haven’t really gotten to know each other. I know you run your own company and have heard positive things about you. I hope they’re true, because I want to win this. Ask anyone in SCW about Eddie Lyons and they’ll tell you that you drew maybe not the best, but you drew a pretty damn good card. I may not be the best, but I desire to be. You’ll hear about my drive, and how I always pick myself up from a loss and look to be better. I EARNED the respect of Peter Vaughn by getting back on my feet each and EVERY time I was knocked down. Maybe I lack in personality, but I assure you I make up for it in that ring because its all I know. It’s all I’ve ever known as a second generation superstar. That ring is my life, and I give it  my all when I’m in there. If you can bring the same energy as I intend to, we’ll be a shoe-in for the finals. But if you don’t want to hear it from me, ask one half of our opponents Justin Smith what he thinks of me.”

Eddie gives a confident, and slightly cocky smirk at the camera.

“How we doing Justin?” grinned Eddie, “What excuse will you make this time? I’m honestly running out of words to say about you. I’ve defeated you what, three or four times now? Each time we face off, you seem to change nothing and learn nothing. So you end up losing, time and time again. Why would this time be any different? I hate sounding cocky but I mean it’s sort of hard not to be when you keep beating the same person who never learns form their mistakes. I’m not perfect either Justin but I do what I can to learn from my losses and my mistakes, and you know what it made me? A CHAMPION.”

Eddie motions at the SCW Roulette Championship on his shoulder.

“But you know that don’t you Justin?” Eddie continued, “You are one of the men I had to beat to earn this championship.  But hey, perhaps your partner can pull it off for you. I don’t know much about this Cordelia Clark. I’m told she was  breakout star in the old SCU, but I haven’t done much research on what SCU was even all about. I suppose she’s more of my partners problem to handle but I feel I should address her as she is still considered my opponent.”

Eddie takes another short pause.

“What I can tell you Cordelia, is you are going to really need to step it up.” Eddie said, “Because your partner just doesn’t have what it takes to stand up to me, he hasn’t beaten me yet and nothing will change this time, unless you manage to defeat my partner. But I’d be careful because while I don’t know much about Serena Riot, apparently she is “that bitch.”. I have a good friend named Cleo who feels she is ‘that bitch” so I know what it means when you call yourself that. If Serena really is “that bitch” as she claims to be, then your chances of beating us are slim to none.”

Eddie keeps his usual confident gaze on the cameras

“Serena, just know that I have your back throughout all this.” Eddie continued, “Everyone around SCW knows I consider myself an honorable man.I hold honor and respect in high regard. We have been selected to be a team. That means we’re in this together. Your fight is my fight, and we are one. We got some good teams mixed up in this, Calaway and Raven, Melissa and Aiden. Bobbie and Peter could surprise. But you know what I think? I think Eddie Lyons and Serena Riot just might be the darkhorse team to win it all. I say we make a statement in the first round. Let’s go out there and show why Eddie Lyons and Serena Riot are going to win the whole fucking thing. Lets get it.”

Eddie smirks confidently, and adjusts his championship.

“Whatever happens, I can promise it’s going to be one helluva summer for Eddie Lyons” he continued, “Win or lose this tournament, I’ll still get to call myself a champion. But like those who faced me before know, it won’t be such an easy road. If Justin doesn’t step his game up, you’re going to lose this match Cordelia. It really is that simple. Maybe you can wake him up or something, I don’t know. He’s not my responsibility, he’s my opponent. One that as stated, I’ve beaten time and time again. I know little about Serena true, but I’m getting vibes we’ll be alright. I’m not even worried about her criminal record. I know she was charged with arson, and did some time. That doesn’t bother me. My best friend Cleo Phillips did time too, mostly armed robbery and things like that. I’ve heard her stories of things she had to do to survive on the inside, and even when she ran the streets on the outside. It makes you tough and it gives you a different sor of grit. The fact she’s also second generation like myself means she knows the business inside and out. The other teams better be cautious because even though we haven’t been formally introduced yet, on paper we have all the makings of a team that can win this whole thing if we put the effort into it. I know I will, and I hope you will too Serena. In the end, that’s all I ask if you try.  If you don’t try and you don’t turn up and ghost on me, that is something that will upset me but I’ll likely not be able to do much about it other than just continue on in SCW as it’s Roulette Champion. Whatever happens just know Eddie Lyons will always continue on, with HONOR BEFORE GLORY.[/color]

Climax Control Archives / The American Dream (A Teddy RP)

Warren- Chavez Home

Life was good. That is the only thought that ran through the mind of Teddy Warren as he stood up in his living room and glared at the bassinet that was beside him that held his five-month old infant girl Marlene. The little girl was trying to move about as Teddy hovered over her and smiled in return. he gently lifted her up and held her against his shoulder.

“Awww are you happy to see daddy my little pumpkin?! Yeah… you love daddy don’t you?! You are daddy’s dream come true. This whole life is everything that I could have ever wanted. I am living the American dream. I have the amazing wife. I have the precious little princess in you. This home is very welcoming and I am happy that you have a big thirteen-year-old sister that can help guide you. This really is the perfect life and I couldn’t have asked for anything else…”

The infant is just smiles as Teddy just rests her gently on him. It isn’t that long until his wife Michelle walks into the living room wearing her pajamas. Almost on cue the baby begins to cry and that’s when Teddy looks at his daughter and laughs.

“You always know when to call for mommy don’t you?! I guess it must be time to eat…”

With that Teddy hands his daughter over to his mother. Michelle takes the baby and proceeds to sit down on the couch. She places a blanket over her as she begins to breast feed the baby. Teddy smiles as he walks over to his wall of accomplishments, most of them coming from SCW. The Mexican-American mother however just feeds her baby as she looks over at her husband.

“You really are an amazing father and a great husband as well. Ever since Marlene was born you have made some sacrifices to make sure that all of our needs were being met. I couldn’t have pictured a better man in my life then you…”

Teddy nods his head with a grin.

“Honestly all of this has gone so fast. I remember when the divorce was finalized with Kate. I didn’t know what I was going to do with myself. I think Dawn saw how depressed I was from the situation, and your sister her wife Melissa saw that all you ever did was spend time working at the zoo. They wanted something for both of us. What was meant to just been a small set-up with siblings trying to ship off their siblings turned out to be something more. Who would have thought that you would have gotten immediately pregnant after us dating for a few weeks, and then catching the bouquet at Dawn’s wedding?!”

Michelle nods her head with a smile as she looks at the little girl.

“It was amazing and to be completely honest I wouldn’t change any of this for the world. Todd Warren… You are my world. You are my sun and Marlene is my moon. Without the both of you my world would have crumbled. I love being a veterinarian. I get enjoyment out of taking care of animals. Sometimes ferocious ones that would scary a common person away… When I met you, I knew there were red flags that people warned me about…”

Michelle takes a deep breath as she continues to share her heart.

“My sister had told me that you had went crazy and tried to steal your best friend’s company from underneath her but luckily Seleana and my sister put a stop to that. There were parts of you that I didn’t want to be near. As we dated however I realized that all of those things that people warned me about was all for show. That wasn’t you at all. I really fell in love. One thing led to another. I got pregnant and of course we ended up married.... I am happy… I am beyond happy, and I can’t wait to see where else life takes off… May I ask you a question?!”

Teddy thinks about it as he looks back at his wife.

“Of course you can ask me any question. I am your husband. I think it defeats the purpose of us being married to one another if we can’t ask each other questions…”

She nods her head taking a long deep breath as she gazes back into his eyes.

“Are you happy?! Like are you happy with how life is going?!”

“Of course I am happy. What type of question is that… Life is way better than I could have ever imagine”?

“The reason why I want to ask you this is because as much as I love being a mother, and I am more than thrilled to be your wife. I was a very independent woman before I was even in this relationship. Working with animals at the zoo as their doctor gives me complete joy. It’s my own fantasy come to life and I am thinking about getting back to the zoo. I have already asked my sisters Marcia and Melissa; they will look after Marlene while I am working at the zoo…”

Teddy raises his eyes in return.

“So why are you telling me this?! You don’t trust in me not being a good father to Marlene, look just because I might get a little freaked out at the sight of a nasty diaper doesn’t mean I can’t handle changing my daughter. Hell I am pretty sure I can manage making formula as well. It all comes with the territory of being a dad…”

Michelle shakes her head as she looks back at her husband.

“It’s not that I don’t trust you. it’s just that I know that there are some dreams of your own that you want…”

“Well since you put it like that, Brayden is planning to sell his GFL football team. I did make a bid for it. Of course I had to borrow some money from the best friend T-Will. It would be cool to bring a football team to Long Island. Who knows maybe you could be my quarterback…”

Michelle shakes her head as she puts Marlene in the bassinet. The baby is sleeping at this point before Michelle slowly walks over to where her husband is standing. She stands beside him as she glances at his wall of accomplishments.

“I wasn’t talking about your football team. I am sure purchasing a team would be cool and seeing all of those pretty women in their little outfits would definitely be a turn on, but honestly I meant your own personal dreams. Every morning you have gotten up and walked over to that wall. You constantly stare at your Roulette, Mixed Tag, and Internet Championship replicas. Whenever you look at them you are just in awestruck. I know you would never admit it but I think deep down you want to complete your journey…”

Teddy shakes his head.

“Look I love wrestling but my life is with you two ladies right now. I want to do what’s best for the two of you. Being a father and a husband who is in the life of his family far outweighs everything else. My father wasn’t there for me. I was dumped off into the foster and it took a while to me to finally have a good family. Now that I have made a family of my own I don’t want to turn my back on what I worked so hard to establish…I will never be the type of man that refuses to man up and be in his family’s life…”

Michelle places her hand on his shoulder as she looks at the accomplishments.

“I am not saying that. Babe you know you are a good man. You are the epitome are what every family dreams of out of a man for the household, but it would be selfish of me to have you constantly sacrifice everything for us, and for you not to pour a little bit into yourself so you can achieve what you want to do. Every day you look at that wall and it’s because I know that deep down you want what is missing. You want to reclaim that glory. You want to be a World Champion. It’s the only thing missing from your wall. Why not go out there and conquer what you never managed to do before…”

Teddy just rolls his eyes as he slowly looks into his wife’s eyes.

“I would love that but I wouldn’t even know where to begin…An opportunity like that doesn’t just come out of thin air Shelly. It would be a long grind and I doubt I really want to pour that much time into working through a ranking system to get that. It’s a long grind and I haven’t really been an active star in such a long time…”

Michelle giggles as she grabs her husband’s hands and looks right into his eyes.

“Remember watching SCW last year and you saw hard your sister Dawn had worked to get through the ranks. She made it to the finals of the Blast from the Past but last at the end of the tourney. I think if you managed to have the same type of run you could have everything you want. All it would take is four matches. Four matches and you would be staring down a World title match…”

Teddy backs away as he turns away from his wife. He looks over at his sleeping child as he ponders everything.

“Shelly it still good but I didn’t even register in time to be in the Blast from the Past. That would be nothing more than a mere pipe dream at this point. Besides how things went for me when I was last in SCW and the way I lost the Mixed Tag Championships in the very first defense I doubt anybody would want me back…”

Michelle waves her finger in front of her husband before she suddenly wraps her arms around him, and gazes right into his eyes.

“That’s what you think. You need to tell me how much you love me because I decided to enter you into the Blast from the Past. It makes no sense for you to just sit around and question about the missed opportunities. If I wish to go back to the zoo you might as well do whatever makes you happy. This is your chance to turn all of the critics and haters into supporters…”

Teddy raises his eyes in return.

“WAIT… YOU GOT ME A SPOT IN THE BFTP?1 WHEN WERE YOU HOPING TO TELL ME THIS?! LIKE THIS IS AMAZING, THIS IS SUPERB. THIS IS SUPERCALIFRAG….”

“Take it easy Mary Poppins… You still have to tell me that I am the best wife in the world…”

Teddy kisses her passionately as the grin just escapes from his lips.

“You are better than the best. I am honestly speechless….”

Michelle hugs him tighter.

“Don’t be speechless. This is something I did because it’s something you deserve. I love you Todd Warren. You might come off one way to others but in my eyes you are my teddy bear. You should never doubt yourself. You somehow managed to win me over and if you could win me I have no doubt in my mind that you could go out there and win that tournament, and eventually become a World Champion. It’s all on you babe but I believe in you and I know Marlene believes in you. Give her a reason to be super proud of her daddy…”

Teddy nods his head as he slowly turns back to his daughter.

“You want me to win this tournament?! You want me to accomplish my dreams… You don’t have to worry about it because I will indeed do that but only if I get what I want… I know I have been asking for you to do something physical…”

“…I know, how do you think Marlene got here?!”

Teddy shakes his head.

“No not that TYPE OF PHYSICAL! What I meant is I just want you to be in my world. If I am going to trot all over the world putting my body on the line to eventually cement myself and move towards a World Championship I want to do it with your help. I want you to be my manager. Not a valet but more so somebody that I can depend on if certain women at ringside want to cheat. I can’t hit a woman but of course you can strike them in my place…”

Michelle thinks about it before she slowly nods her head.

“Deal but only if your support my dream. If I manage you and go through this wrestling training every single place, we visit. Every new country we have to make sure that we stop by and see some of the native animals in their natural habitats. There are a lot of animals on this planet that I have yet to see and this could really go far in me learning about all sorts of life. Just imagine if we could see different species and…”

Teddy smiles.

“Okay, okay Dr. Chavez… No need to nerd out over seeing different animals. Let’s just focus on making sure I get to the top of the mountain. As long as I got you by my side I know that I can accomplish anything. Why don’t we get dressed and drop Marlene off at your sister’s house?! I think it’s time to make some phone calls and go back to the Rose Wrestling Academy… Better yet why don’t we go spend some time in Colorado…”

Teddy has an evil look on his face.

“I think getting you a crash course in learning how to wrestle or should I say “defend” yourself at Hells Gate might do you some good. It might do us both some good. You can learn the dirty side of wrestling instead of realizing that everybody is out here to be a friend… As a matter of fact, I will make the call now…”

With that in mind Teddy begins to smile as he rushes to get his phone. Michelle stands there with her arms crossed as she looks at their baby. The road to accomplishing dreams would be a long one but as long as they both had each other nothing could stop them.

Damn… It has been a while hasn’t it?!

Honestly it feels like it has been too fucking long. I am sorry for the bad word. As a man who has just reached biological fatherhood back in October I know I shouldn’t be coming across saying words such as that one but can I just say from the bottom of my heart that it feels absolutely amazing to be back here in front of you all. What makes it even better is a lot has changed since everybody last saw me. if I can recall correctly last time I was anywhere near a ring I had lost my Mixed Tag Team Championship. It was Kate and I’s last effort to try to solidify ourselves as an amazing married couple.

We worked hard to win the titles from the Black Sheep but just like that our marriage was rocky. We just weren’t working together as much as we should have, and in our very first defense we lost to the Barnharts. It’s crazy to think that I was last on the active roster three years ago. That’s so long ago.

Since that time Kate and I finally went through and gotten our divorce. I had done everything in my power to end her. I tried to gain solo custody of our adopted daughter Juliet and I was just pretty much a dick. I wish that wasn’t the case but I can’t change the past. It took me a while to get back on my feet and I would have never imagined falling in love with a beautiful Mexican-American. I could have never fantasized getting her pregnant and now I have a mini me that is the spitting image of her father. I am just thankful that everything is going as well as it could have possibly have gone.

With all of that in mind I was in the middle of living the American dream.

I have the hot and sexy wife.

I had the adorable child.

My family life is the best that it has ever been, but even though things are better than perfect at home I always felt that there was a piece of me that was missing. It’s that I haven’t found my niche. Through everything and convincing of my wife she helped me come to the reality that my true place is in that of the ring. She has entered me into the Blast of the Past and now I am in position to make every dream of mine come true. I can push towards the end goal and I can work my ass off to eventually challenge for a World Championship.

It sounds like a tough thing to go through but I just need to outlast, outwit, and out wrestle the best four matches of my life and I will get everything that I want. Blast of the Past will be my proving ground and through hell or high water you better believe that I am going to get everything I could have ever imagined. I am going to work my ass off and I am going to EARN it.

All of these are good ideals but it doesn’t mean anything if I can’t get past the first round in this tournament. I will be blunt the moment I heard that Kat Jones was drawn to be my partner I thought that we had this in the bag. I thought it was going to be a foregone conclusion that we were on a one way trip to the finals. After all Kat Jones is an absolute beast. She can definitely handle her share of stuff from whatever the bombshells might try to throw at her.

She happens to be one of the best friends of my best female friend in Crystal Zdunich but more importantly than that she is the little sister of Kimberly Pain who my little sister Dawn has decided to train under at Hell’s Gate. If this wasn’t a match made in heaven, or in this case hell I would say I couldn’t have it any better. Kat has torn through the competition ever since she made her return and as great as I am sure Luna can be. After all Luna is a threat who beat my best female friend for the Roulette Championship has already begin to cement herself as a tough competitor.

I am not afraid of what Luna brings to the table because I know Kat is going to put all of that to rest. What this is going to come down to is what is going to happen when I get in the ring and lock up with Sean Parker. How’s it going Sean?!

I don’t believe we have really met one another and even if you wish to take the time to research all of the stuff that you can find about me through the SCW video library let me just bluntly come out and tell you who I am. My name is Todd Warren. I am passionate, I have a purpose, and I know what it means to persevere.

My entrance into the wrestling world has always been on the thought that I was nothing more than a little Bitch. I was a Bitch because I decided to take my wife’s surname whether it was Steele and now Chavez. I am also the man who could be called flamboyant. Who crossed dressed on SCW television, which pissed on himself when J2H appeared. I was also voted most hated of the year for one year.

This might seem silly to you or make me out to be a clown but in my eyes I would like to think myself as a showman and I just love to pour every single bit of myself into my craft. I love this sport and I would do anything to give myself to it.

In the same token I have been a Mixed Tag Team Champion, I have been a Roulette Champion, and even an Internet Champion. I have been in the ring with people like Fenris, people like Austin James Mercer, hell I beat Senor Vinnie to win a title, and went to war with J2H. I have done everything I possibly could do but something eludes me.

I want to be a World Champion…

I want to be a Grand Slam Champion…

I want to be a Hall of Famer…

How I get to claiming what I want is by winning this tournament and winning the title so that I could knock two things off of that list and position myself for the third. That’s who I am Sean. If you are expecting that same old Teddy from three years ago to walk into that ring you are mistaken! I have grown and I ready to do whatever I have to do in order to get what I want.

I know you wish to make a name of yourself, I bet you just want to beat me so you can sling shot past others on this roster. It sounds good and truthfully I would support you on any other occasion. I am not going to allow you to get what at my expense. This is when I step up and show to Kat Jones as well as others that you can trust in me and I will have her back.

I won’t allow you to think you have what it takes to beat me and advance in this tournament. I want it more and I am going to showcase why I want it that badly.

Looking at you Sean I see a talent who has definitely had his share of accomplishments. You are exactly one month older than my little sister and I have nine years on her. In your time of wrestling you have become a World Champion.

You have managed to dominate the scene in Zion becoming their Endurance Champion and being a Break Out star. You have torn things up over in XWF and the more I research you I have to accept the fact that you have practically been a champion everywhere you have gone. I can’t really say the same thing. Everywhere outside of SCW I have only ever been considered a joke.

I am sure you will find that I have racked up more losses than I would like to have on my namesake. It isn’t good and I haven’t had quite the prolific career that you have. However it isn’t anything to be sad about because the one thing that I do have is the fact that I haven’t worked my ass off as hard as I have done within SCW.

I am sure that on a day where I wish to phone it in or not give a crap that you would pick me a part.

However this is that Todd Warren that when he is fully committed to something and he pours every single bit of himself into that ring he becomes unbeatable. I don’t give a damn who you are. Nobody could stand a chance if that Teddy shows up. That is the Teddy that I had always wished that would come face to face against Fenris but that version of me was always too much a chicken. It’s also the same version of me that should have been there to face J2H but I crumbled under the pressure.

I am tired of being that same old let down and that’s why after not being in this company but three long years that I plan to unleash all of my frustrations into this match. My journey to the top will not end against a man who is signing up to be in a tournament just to potentially be a one-time showing because he had nothing else to do and thought the chance to maybe fight towards a title shot would be cool.

No..

As much as I do want that title shot and that’s everything that I am about…

This feels so much different for me!

This is about reclaiming what was lost. This is about showing everybody that there is nothing wrong with taking three years away from a company minus one occasional bftp appearance to showcase that you are still as passionate about the place. In those three years I had to figure out things about myself. I had to evolve from being that abuser that I was to Kate.

I had to grow as man, and I had to become a father…

Now that I have found Michelle I know I have to do better. I can’t be that same old pompous prick anymore, although sometimes it’s hard to not dwell into the urge of telling people exactly how I feel.

No… I can’t revert because I have a little six month old daughter that is one day going to look back to see how her father had conducted himself. I need to be a role model to her. I need to show her that sometimes being denied of something isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes it just means you need to work that much harder to achieve what you want to achieve.

The real valuable lesson that I am looking to my little girl is based on that of walking into a job interview. Perhaps you may get judged in the wrong way. You may not get that job but that doesn’t mean you should walk away with your head down feeling worthless.

Instead you should have the drive and determination to come back stronger and knock the next interview out of the park. One needs to sell themselves to show they really want something.

SCW really knocked me down three years ago. I wasn’t ready. I might have accomplished a lot but the time away has set me up for what’s about to happen now.

So Sean I ask that you bring everything that you. It’s going to take everything inside of you to keep me from advancing in this tournament. With everything beating inside of me I promise to not only beat you but to go through competition week after week until I finally earn the right to fight for the World Championship.

It’s all or nothing and I am locked in to the task at hand. I wish you the best of luck. You certainly will need it but it’s officially Teddy time and I refuse to back down…

The scene opens up with Justin Smith taking a walk to find a good restaurant in Hasting England.  He stops to talk about his tag team partner Cordelia Clark.

Justin-I am looking forward to kicking some ass in the Blast From the Past tournament, and one thing I know for sure is that I don’t trust Cordelia Clark, my tag team partner.

Justin laughs before discussing his distrust of Clark in their upcoming match.

Justin-Cordelia, you can talk about my lack of success in SCW all you want, but I would rather be in my position in a major promotion like SCW than a top star in its old sister show of SCU.  I am going to do what I do best and bring the fight to my opponent, and cause a lot of destruction in the process. I hope you can carry your weight in the big show of SCW!

Justin waves off the cameraman, asking him to leave so Justin can enter the restaurant as the scene fades to black.

The following day, Justin is seen at his hotel room, getting ready to go to lunch, but turns to the camera to address his opponents, first focusing on the one he will face in “Unbreakable” Eddie Lyons.

Justin-Eddie, I am so sick of facing you, it’s not even funny.  Then again, it was the luck of the draw that paired us up again.  Unlike our previous encounters, I will finally get a win over you, by hook or by crook.  Once Cordelia and I advance on to the second round, you can go back to defending your title!!!!   I am ready to destroy you once and for all.

Justin then turns his attention to Eddies tag team partner in Serena Riot.

Justin-Serena, as much as I don’t trust Cordelia, I know that she can actually handle herself in the ring. I dunno if Eddie can say the same about you.  Just be prepared to lose sweetheart!!!!

The scene fades to black with Justin cackling as he leaves the hotel room.

Climax Control Archives / Chapter 38

Chapter 38: What I fought for.

This should’ve been one of the greatest moments of my life. Are the greatest weeks of my life. But the truth was, I was a wreck. Do you ever have one of those moments where you get told something that completely destroys every preconceived notion that you had about your future in the life within it? The fact that the future that you dreamt of, something that you hoped, but something that you thought was forever out of your reach was now sitting in front of you.

But then, despite all of that, despite how much you wanted it and how much you feel you needed it, there was a doubt. I doubt that you could follow through and that it was even for you. And the worst part? Is that now? You had to do something that you never thought you would. You had to swallow your pride and go and find something that you thought you lost.

I have been living independently since I was 15 years old, since I was a teenager I have been doing everything I can to make sure that I never have to rely on anyone. I love my family, I do. I talk to both of my sisters all the time, I talk to my brother occasionally, I have friends. Kind of. I have my own life. But for the most part I am always alone, alone in everything I want to do because I have done everything I can to make sure that deep down I don’t need anyone.

However, this is one of those rare instances in life that not only do. I need someone, I need the one person that most people go to 1st. That I simply don’t.

I needed my mother.

Yes, I’m aware of how that sounds. Me, miss independence, a woman who routinely tells her friends to fuck off because she doesn’t need anything from them. I need my mother. And since we were back in England, back to my home country for an ECW show, it seems like the fates were aligning and everything was telling me that it was time to go and see her and talk about all of the bullshit that I’m currently having to deal with.

And fuck me, do I ever hate that?

I took a deep breath, paying The cab driver and giving him a small nod as I pulled on the small handle to kick the door open. My black boots hitting the ground with the thud as I stood up and took a deep breath, a bag hanging by my side as I moved up the pathway to my childhood home. so many memories came flooding back, not all of them good, but not all of them terrible either. We have a bad habit of pushing bad memories to the front when we think of a place. Defence mechanism so we don’t get hurt again. But I learned a long time ago that is not the summer of its parts.

I smiled, remembering that I used to run around this front garden with my older sister Amber. Waiting for Jaxon to come home from school.

I shook my head and moved to the door, knocking on it hard and taking a deep breath as I heard movement from inside. A click of the latch and the door swing open, and standing in front of me, my mother. Her long black hair very similar to myself and Amber, her arms covered in tattoos, only not professionally made beautiful pieces like myself and my siblings had, no hers were backyard jobs done by her friends Throughout the late 80s and early 90s. Fuck I’m surprised that she didn’t get tetanus and die.

”Oi look what the cat dragged in…..”

”Mum….” I gave her a nod and she smiled moving to the side to let me in. I moved through the door into the loungeroom. I sat the bag down, my mother following me after shutting the door. I opened it and pulled out not one but two titles. She smiled and shook her head. ”Just thought you’d want to see what I worked for…” I smirked, she reached out and touched them both, a flicker of pride in her eyes.

She took a sharp inhale and shook her head before clearing her throat. ”You’re doing amazing…you are. And as much as I’m sure ya wanted to show off….i have a feeling you’re here for something else darlin.” I groaned and shook my head. She was right of course. She knew I had something on my mind, my body language was a dead giveaway. I closed my eyes and turned around to sit on my mothers couch. ”So? What is it?”

”Well….I may have…I think I….” I stumbled over my words. Grinding my teeth together.

My mum sat across from me, leaning back and crossing her arms over her chest. ”Spit it out Kay…” I groaned and looked up before shaking my head.

”So Finn…”

I stopped again, my mum raised an eyebrow and tilted her head, studying me. ”Your tag team partner?” I swallowed and looked down, staring at the mixed tag title on the table. Finn had the other one, that linked us. And as much as I hate to admit it if that was all it was, things would be simple. But, things weren’t simple.

”Yeah, him. So…..there’s something you don’t know. I was living with him, I had nowhere else to go and he was there after Billy and I broke up…” I trailed off and took a deep breath. ”He told me he loved me…” There was silence. My mother titled her head again and was studying me. My body language, my movements, my eyes. She was taking it all in. ”And, before you ask. I didn’t say anything ba-”

”You love him too…” I swallowed, it felt like a weight dropped to the pit of my stomach. Honestly, I don’t know why I was surprised. My mother has always been exceptional reading people. Most of all her daughters. Hell, I remember Amber sneaking back into the house one night when she was about 14. my mother was asleep. But the next morning at breakfast the second that she looked at Amber she knew that she’d been out. She knew Amber would lie to her. I swear to God this woman missed her calling and should’ve been a fucking police detective.

”Yeah…I do…”

She leaned in, forcing my gaze to move up to meet hers. ”So? What’s the problem?”

I took a deep breath, placing my hands on my knees and pushing myself to my feet. I paced around the couch as my mother just sat there staring and waiting. Watching me as my frustrated form kept moving. ”It’s…complicated.” I knew that answer wasn’t going to cut it, she was going to prob deeper. ”The Christmas before last, he and I had a moment. I could have…we could have taken things further. But I made a mistake and thought we should wait instead of me throwing myself at him…he thought I didn’t want him. Now we have got back to that place and…..fuck..”

I sighed heavily. My mother simply got up, moved around in front of me and reached up moving a few strands of my hair from my face. ”Does he do drugs?”

”No…”

”Would he cheat on you?”

”What?..no..”

”Has he ever killed anyone?”

I clicked my tongue and rolled my eyes. ”Him?...no”

She grabbed me by the arms, bringing me straight on with a heavy sigh. ”Would he ever hit you?....”

I knew what she was asking. She didn’t need to word it, to ask if he was like my father. I took a deep breath and smiled shaking my head. ”Never.” I calmed down and shrugged. ”He’s a good man…even if he doesn’t see it…” I shook my head and looked away. I could feel the emotions welling up and part of me didn’t want to go down this road.

”Then what could be so complicated that you can’t tell the man you love, who loves you, that you love HIM?”

I closed my eyes and pushed it all deep down feeling a tear roll down my chest. One that wasn’t anger or frustration. No this one was sadness, and shame. ”Because, I don’t deserve him…”

She moves closer, grabbing me and spinning me around so I was face to face with her. ”Cut the shit…” Before I could say anything she stepped back, dissmissively waving her hand in the air. ”I’m sure some, misguided, part of you believes that. In fact, I’m sure of it. But trust me on this, the regret you felt last year, that you CLEARLY have felt all year…well it’ll only get worse…we all deserve happiness Kayla…it’s time you stop making excuses…and go take yours.”

Her words rang in my ears. Over and over again. Was she right? Had I been hiding from happiness? Elf sabotaging and making excuses? The nerves were killing me. My hands were shaking, but I wasn’t cold. It was anxiety, frustration. Fear. I took a deep breath and rubbed them together as I tried to calm mysef My heart beating through my chest to the point of nausium and pain.

Thumping, beating, rattling. Whatever you want to call it. It was destroying me. The elevator ride seemed to be taking an eternity. The ding snapping me out of my haze. Each step took me closer and I was on autopilot. I felt like I was floating and time has slowed to a snails pace.

Knock knock

I swallowed hard, I heard footsteps, the door clicked and opened. Finn was standing there, in a black long sleeved shirt and black jeans, his hair flowing down to his perfect cheekbones. I caught a flicker of a smile before he collected himself. We both took a deep breath and before he could speak. I did.

”I love you too….”

An old, unwanted, undeserving enemy

Thunk

The noise of something heavy landing on a wooden table brings us in. And the first thing we see is a pair of championship titles. The SCW mixed tag team title and the SCW Bombshells title sit next to each other. And then, slamming own on either side of the belts are the hands of Kayla Richards.

”This seems to be a running theme. Doesn’t it? I stand here, I tell you all what is going to happen, from a hotel room, or from my home, or from a landmark near where a show is taking place. And the usual suspects all doubt me and run their mouths, thinking that I don’t know. And every single time I prove people wrong. And I smile. I have this big shit eating grin on my face and I get to tell everyone that I told you so. And hey, why break from tradition? It is my esteemed pleasure and satisfaction, to be able to look through this camera to each and every one of you…and say…”

“I told you so…”

“I told you all I was going to become the SCW World Bombshells champion. I was going to beat Julianna DiMaria and I was going to be the first woman to hand her a loss. And so many just sat back and rolled their eyes. They made their little quips and talked about how I was “good” but I wasn’t that good. Thing is, who am I being measured against? Who in this company has been able to stand up to me one on one?”

“I have beaten the best of the last generation, the ones who were left anyway. All of those women who were once your heroes, or villains, they have stood in the ring with me and I have walked out the winner. Shit the ones who did beat me, like Keira Johnson, I sent packing in rematches. And trust me, me invoking names like that is never meant to be a show of disrespect it’s a show of the utmost respect because it means I am proud of those wins, proud of those moments.”

“And hey, atleast women like ASam Marlowe, Mercedes Vargas and Keira had the guts to get in the ring with me instead of talking shit and never even entertaining the thought of stepping in the ring with me because I wasn’t “worthy”. Speaking of which. Hey Mikah, how do you like me now bitch?...”

Kayla taps on the bottom of the Bombshells title, right on her name plate, she clears her throat and continues.

”Now, I’m not going to soit here and say that it was easy. It sure as hell wasn’t. Julianna DiMarai did everything she could to keep this championship. She fought tooth and nail and proved to everyone that she was indeed the champion she said she was. Hell, I’ll even go as far as to say she impressed me. Cause at the end of the day she did win this title, she did defend it and she did have the balls to walk down to that ring and put it all on the line against me. Truth is…she didn’t have to.”

“She could have just ignored me, lived out her little title reign in blissful ignorance of my existence. I mean, who was going to stop her? There was no guarantee that SCW was going to give me the title shot I’d earned or even put me in a position to “earn” it. So, Julianna could have just ducked me, week after week. But, she didn’t. She saw I was bring her title reign down and she stopped up. I even gave her ample opportunity to back out, to walk away. But instead…she came out and put it all on the line. Her undefeated streak, her title…..even her pride…”

“But that last thing….that she got to keep…”

“But no sooner have I become the champion that this company presents me with a challenger. A woman who knows me very well. A woman who I know very well. And a woman who, if I’m honest, I didn’t want to face. Ariana Angelos….”

Kayla steps back and picks up both championship belts. Throwing the mixed tag title over her right shoulder and holding the Bombshells title in her left hand holding it up.

”And no Ariana. It’s not because I’m scared of you, or intimidated by you. Or any of the other silly little ideas that you have in your head. No, I didn’t want to face you because I’ve done it before. Many times before. And this isn’t some kind of long-standing rivalry that people should be excited about. You see those rivalries where people get excited about the next meeting between two people is always when they are equals. And you and I? There is nothing equal about us.”

“You are the type of woman who gets handed opportunities time and time again. No matter how many times you fail you end up getting given opportunities like they are candy. Meanwhile? I get opportunities that I’ve earned and I fought for and I knock it out of the park every single time. And yes, I’m using a baseball reference despite the fact that it is the most boring sport on earth next to cricket. but the fact remains is that you get handed opportunities and fail time and time again while I succeeded. I take the little pieces that I am given, the little things that I have earned, and I make them count.”

“And when you look at our careers, I already have one that is worth the whole of Fame. I have beaten some of the best and biggest names in this company while you have failed to make a dent. I have one of the best winning records in this company never been beaten on climax control. You have a losing record and can’t stand up to the best of the best of the division. I am a three time Internet champion, I am a mixed tag team champion with the longest reign. And in my first attempt at going for the world bombshell championship I beat an undefeated professional wrestler who is three or four times the woman that you are”

Kayla holds up the bombshells title ot her face and smirks showing it to the camera and clearing her throat.

”but, we seem to be destined to do this little song and dance. You get a shot at me with something on the line, you run your mouth like you actually think you have a chance, and then I beat you. And following that loss, you completely ignore it and learn nothing from it. You just go about your days if nothing has ever happened despite the fact that you have another loss in your loss column and you don’t further your career. You don’t live up to this silly little myth of yourself being some kind of Greek goddess, some type of hero to your people.”

“You know who is a hero to her people? Me, because we are in England now and this is my house bitch.”

“I have Home turf advantage. Not that I needed it. You and I have been in the ring together so many times and every single time I have one. The only time you and I ever went out loses was when you got pinned and lost Mimae Internet championship. but this time? This time we are going in one on one and there is no one else that you can let pin you to get my championship taken away. If you want this world bombshells championship then you have to beat me for it. And we both know Ariana that that is not going to happen because you are simply not good enough.”

“Maybe I should thank you though. You see one year ago when you lost Mimae championship, it then gave me that opportunity to prove myself again. Every single time someone beats me, every time, I come back stronger and I snatch that win back off of them. I told Melissa straight up that I respected her but I knew one on one she could not beat me and that I went and proved it. without you in my way I proved it.”

Kayla throws the Bombshells title over her left shoulder, holding them both close to her chest with a laugh.

”the Internet championship isn’t the only one that you failed to take away from me. Is it? You had opportunity after opportunity at that title and you just couldn’t step up. You could not be the champion that you apparently wanted to be. But that hasn’t stopped you from coming after me. You found yourself tagteam partner. and poor Carter had to drag you towards a championship match. He did everything he could try and get you a mixed tagteam championship but while Carter is a lot closer to Finn in skill than you are to me, it’s still was never going to happen.”

“And I was going to sit here and question why they gave you a championship match against Me. I know the reason that they’ve given everyone in their various press releases and justifications as to why this matches happening. It’s because we both won at blaze of glory. I won the championship while you won a triple threat match against two people who I would’ve destroyed as well. In fact I recently did destroy Seleana Zdunich, and if Georgie Robertson had somehow come after me, well we could’ve done a battle of the Brits or some other stupid bullshit. But the result would’ve been the same and I would’ve kicked her head into the third row.”

“Sp, instead I get you.”

“I’m not stupid. I know why you’ve been booked in this match. They wanted me to go out there and have someone that I could destroy so the English crowd would go home Happy because I am British. I’m one of them. And as much as the rest of the world hates my guts or thinks that I’m a bitch at least in my home country they’re proud of me. At least that’s what SCW believes. they are feeding you to Me Ariana. And part of you knows that. And I’m sure you have this little attitude that you are going to prove them wrong and shock the world and do whatever it is that you think you can do to become the champion and make me shut my mouth and you become the biggest star in this fucking company.”

Kayla leans forward, slowly putting the title belt back down with a sigh.

”if I had any feeling whatsoever toward you that thought that you would be able to do that then I would look forward to this match. The only problem is, I know you can’t do it. I know that all of that is in your head. This delusion of Granger that you have. this whole thing where you think you can actually step up and become a credible challenger to Me and it’s just, it’s just comical. And one of my biggest criticisms towards Juliana was that she didn’t face the best. Instead, she faced women who she could be with her fucking eyes closed.”

“So, this company has inadvertently made me hypocrite. I know why they’ve put me against you, and that’s fine. They want their little moment. But there are other names out there that I could’ve faced. I could’ve faced Carter other much more talented tagteam partner that he got a win with recently. I could’ve faced Kat Jones. She is a legend. She has name value and she deserves a championship match button instead of facing you. I could’ve faced Giuliana in rematch, even though I think that she needs to go and collect herself and come at Me stronger she could’ve had that rematch and it would’ve been deserved.”

“They could have given a rematch for this championship to Bella Madison and even if she is someone who Giuliana beat at least that girl has heart and soul and would’ve made a fight out of it.”

“Any one of those women that I mentioned would’ve been a better challenger than you. One of those women that I mentioned would’ve made me excited to defend my championship and come back to my Home country as a champion. One of those women would actually be taken seriously as a challenger to this championship. But you? Ariana you are barely worth me getting out of bed in the morning. Do you know how unbelievably insulting it is? That I have a challenge that doesn’t make me excited? Do you know how the moralising it is for me to wake up in the morning and drag myself to the gym to try and get myself in to shape for a match that I know I could win if I just sat around eating Big Macs?.”

“This opportunity should’ve gone to someone more deserving. But it is what it is. The only problem is that now I’m pissed off. So now instead of just beating you, I’m gonna have to hurt you. I am going to have to hurt you so bad that management realises where they fucked up. And they are going to have to bring me someone who can fight. They are going to have to bring me someone who is legitimately credible who has earned a championship match who I haven’t beaten every single time. So what is about to happen to you? You can blame the company. Because I’m gonna break you and I’m gonna make damn sure that you never accept a match against me ever again.”

The TRIAD Strength Trials Draft Party
9th October 2023
Hotel California
Los Angeles

Here we were. I didn’t think in my wildest dreams since venturing out to establish my wrestling career away from the cotton wool of my uncle and the Hardcore Wrestling Alliance. As I climbed out of the car, I quickly scooted around, opening the passenger door for Eve. We had been dating for a few months now and things were going great. Truth be told, I was grateful she was with me tonight.

The build to the Strength Trials Draft had been mired in whataboutery and back-and-forth jabs across social media between myself and Bravery Trials Alumni and former SCW World Heavyweight Champion, Matt Knox. Word was that he had planned on stoking the flames of discord that had been fanning between us in the weeks prior and I really wasn’t in the mood. However, many of professional wrestling’s most established names were due to be in attendance, many of whom had been involved in the Bravery Trials along with many other hopefuls like myself looking to make their own mark.

I held my hand out for Eve as she climbed out of the car herself. She looked absolutely radiant, her cerulean blue hair cascading behind her onto an almost-matching-coloured evening gown. She smiled warmly as she accepted my outstretched hand, leaning and giving me a kiss on the cheek. God, she smelled incredible.

“You look amazing,” I said, giving her hand a squeeze. I took what I thought was a subtle inhalation through my nose before I went to start walking towards our venue for the evening. However a firmer reciprocation squeeze of my hand stopped me in my tracks. Perhaps not so subtle after all. Even after only a few months together, she could already read me like a book.

“Hey,” she said softly yet firmly, interlocking her fingers with my own. “If he starts anything, just ignore him. Don’t give him the satisfaction, that’s all he wants, sweetheart.”

A deeper inhalation this time. Definitely not subtle. I let the corresponding exhalation gush out of puffed cheeks as I stared at the ground. Eve gently bumped me, causing me to look up.

“You deserve to be here, just like everyone else. You might get drafted later, you might not. But this is a chance for you to show you’re the bigger person. Let’s go in, enjoy our evening, meet some new people… and who knows…”

She leaned in and kissed my cheek again before whispering into my ear.

“If things do get too much, we can always just go back to our room.”

I chuckled slightly at my girlfriend’s not-so-subtle insinuation before giving her a brief kiss on the lips.

“It’s not the worst Plan B I’ve ever heard.”

We shared another light laugh and another kiss before making our way towards the surreal and unnerving building that was the Hotel California. As we entered the building, the main atrium wasn’t filled with the usual hustle and bustle of coming-and-going guests like you would expect of a hotel of this size. A female receptionist at the front desk greeted us warmly with a smile.

“Can I help you?”

“Yeah, we’re here for the TRIAD Draft Party. Penelope Plimmswood said she’d be taking care of our own arrangements, we should have a room booked under ‘Parker’.”

The receptionist’s eyes diverted from us to her monitor as the keys from her keyboard clicked and clacked. A few moments later, she looked back up with an assuring smile.

“Ah yes, Mr Parker, we have you and your plus one in one of our luxury suites for the night. The reception for Ms Plimmswood’s party is just through those double-doors to your left.”

“Thank you very much,” I replied, sliding her a fifty dollar note, “you’ve been very helpful.”

Eve and I turned and followed the receptionist’s directions, making our way to where the party was taking place. A cacophony of raucous laughter and loud voices all amalgamating together could be heard, the volume getting louder as we got closer to the room. ‘Wow’ was all I could think to myself when we walked in. It was like a literal who’s who of professional wrestling. I spied the imposing figure of Harvey Marx belly-laughing as he conversed with the three TRIAD coaches themselves, Marcus Welsh, PIC and TLS. Some other faces were familiar, some not so much. Infamous promoter Sid Buckley III… Ricky Rodriguez… Blake Mason… Spencer Adams… the Dukes - Thad and Sahara… Joe Montouri and many more were all mingling, drinking, enjoying the festivities. I bit down on my bottom lip furtively, surveying the scene in front of me. Butterflies were filling my stomach and Eve wasn’t ignorant to it either. She gave my hand a comforting squeeze.

“It’ll be fine, sweetheart, just try and enjoy yourself,” she said.

As the evening went on, the drinks started to flow more freely. Eve had gone to our room for a lie down, leaving me to mingle when a familiar, condescending, gravelly voice suddenly made my ears perk up and my eyes roll in the same movement.

“I see you, Parker!”

Deep breaths, Sean, I tried to tell myself. I did my best to ignore the annoying drunken tones of one Matthew Knox. I turned around and held my hand up in a non-threatening manner.

“Look, Knox, just stay out of my face, please. I lost a big match earlier and I’m not in the mood for your shit.”

“Zero wins! Zero bitches! Draft stock TANKING! You need to up your game, Parker!”

Nah, fuck this. I stepped forward, pushing Knox in his chest, startling those within close proximity.

“You and I are starting to have a real fucking problem, Knox!”

I shoved my hand in his face, my index finger extended for emphasis.

“One more fucking word!”

Knox just smiled smugly.

“Do I get to pick the word?”

I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, staring into his drunken face, his breath reeking of bourbon.

“Pick it fucking carefully, Matt, I’m not fucking around!”

He just laughed as I let him go, staggering back slightly in his inebriated stupor.

“Poor guy, you know what? I actually pity that cute little girlfriend of yours. Isn’t she here? Maybe she could use some cheek sugar!”

That did it. My arm was cocked, my fist steering towards Knox’s face before I even realised what was happening. It was like a reflex action, as if my brain and heart collectively decided “fuck this guy”. The impact sent Knox tumbling to the ground, sending bourbon and ice everywhere. My chest was heaving and my blood was boiling, my heartbeat so loud I could hear it in my ears. But instead….all the smug prick could do was rub his jaw, that same condescending smile on his stupid fucking face. I watched him clamber back to his feet.

“Man, if I could feel my face I bet that sucked! I get it though, can’t do it to your actual dad eh, Parker?”

His words were like a Muleta being waved in front of a bull and I was ready to gore him with my horns one more time. I stepped forward again, my arm cocked and loaded a second time, ready to unload when I suddenly felt an arm around my waist, pulling me back.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa! Easy, kid, come on now, let’s go get a breather!”

I turned my head to see TRIAD coach and former OCW owner, Marcus Welsh, the very man who’d flown all the way to my hometown of Dunfermline to scout me as a prospective draft prospect for the Strength Trials. I respected Welsh for going to such lengths and he’d always been pleasant with me but I wasn’t in the mood for “kid” or anyone putting their hands on me. I not-so-forcefully removed Welsh’s arm from my waist and held my hands up.

“I’m fine, Welsh! I don’t need a breather, I’m done with him,” I said, turning and walking away towards the bar.

“I need a drink.”

Standing at the bar was the familiar face of Team Welsh alumni and former SCW Roulette and Internet Champion, Alexander Raven, locked in a heated exchange with a woman I didn’t recognise. At this point, Raven and I hadn’t had much in the way of interactions but his face was one I immediately recognised. Raven and I would become very much acquainted in the TRIAD Tribulations finale in Cambodia on New Year’s Eve of 2023 when I pipped him to the post on my way to earning my spot as the only guaranteed draftee for the Wit Trials. The woman he was with though? Not so familiar.

She was dressed in a long flowing black dress with large, feathery shoulderpads, sharp make-up accentuating her already strong features. If tension was physical, the two of them would be trapped in the mud of it.

“You can’t fucking hold this against me forever, Alex.” I heard her bark, the heavy twang of New Orleans mixed with the spatterings of someone who had lived long enough in Australia to make it a little bit messy and nasally to listen to.

I motioned to the barman with a non-verbal gesture to the upside-down bottle of Grey Goose with an optics attached to the bottom. I wasn’t usually one for drinking straight vodka but I sure as hell needed one right now as I became an unconsenting fly on the wall of a lover’s quarrel.

“Things don’t just get better, Luna,” I heard Raven snipe back.

“My head is all kinds of messed up, and you. Jimmy and you, kept things from me. Lied to me, and did it all under the guise of ‘protecting’ me. So, you can go fuck yourself. I’m going to have fun. I think Welsh wanted a karaoke partner.” Raven said, finishing his drink, slamming the base of his glass emphatically on the bar.

“Go fuck yourself, Alex.” the woman named Luna snapped back, throwing her drink in Raven’s face. I pursed my lips, the subtlest look of ‘Oh damn’ crossing my face for the briefest of seconds as I sipped on my vodka, crunching the ice cubes between my teeth.

I kept my head facing forward but subtly side-eyed the goings-on. Raven didn’t say anything else. He just shook his head, standing there soaking for a moment before he turned on his heels and took off. The woman screeched in response. Something that anyone who knew her would become incredibly conscious of. The woman was a banshee disguised as a human being.

This was the first time Luna Pasilno and I met. She looked just as angry as I felt, and just as likely to take someone’s head off. She whirled her hand at one of the bartenders, ordering another drink without words, and caught my eye. Little did I know that just seven months later, I’d be thrust into one of the biggest tournaments in professional wrestling alongside her… a dear friend… the crazy-ass sister I never had…

The Day Following the Pairings for the Blast From The Past Tournament
Pasadena, California
Off-Camera

Being a dad was taking some getting used to. But even though Amelia had only been with us for a week, I wouldn’t change it for the world. The experience of giving birth had really taken it out of my wife, Eve so I was happy to take on more of the load and to be honest? I was jumping at the chance to spend as much time with my gorgeous little lady as I could.

I had plonked myself into an armchair I’d specifically bought for Eve positioned right next to Amelia’s crib after I’d walked in several times and found her asleep next to it. Amelia was nestled snug on my chest, her adorable little face cuddled into the crook of my neck. And whilst I loved the snuggles I was getting, there was a phone call I needed to make. The Blast From The Past Tournament Pairings had been announced. Luna Pasilno, wife of Alexander Raven, whom I’d briefly been introduced to back during the TRIAD Strength Trials Draft Party. I’d already done some reconnaissance on her. She was bat-shit crazy but incredibly talented, a lethal combination. The wrestling gods had been kind to me. It hadn’t been difficult retrieving her contact information and we had already touched base beforehand and had agreed to speak in more detail about the upcoming match.

Another perk of being a dad was the sudden ability to do two things at once. Since Amelia had been born, I’d managed to change her nappy with one hand whilst drinking a cup of coffee and fed her a bottle of milk whilst putting the finishing touches on my Lego Death Star. So you’d think making a FaceTime call would be a piece of piss, right?

I’d managed to manoeuvre my phone out of my pocket and dial Luna’s number. After a few moments, the screen changed from the dialling description to indicate the call had been answered but you imagine my surprise, that instead of seeing Luna’s face, I was presented with what appeared to be a foot of all things. The sound of a dog barking as well as the hybrid twang of New Orleans-Australia could also be heard.

“Um…hello? Luna?”

Soon, Luna’s familiar face managed to come into view on my screen.

Thank you! ”

What seemed to be a toe suddenly flashed up and the screen immediately went blank and I was staring at the background of my phone again. I peered down at my sleeping daughter.

“Oh, darling, what has your daddy gotten himself into with this one?”

I gave Luna the twenty minutes she asked for and dialled her number again. This time, the scene was a lot calmer when she answered.

I chuckled to myself, careful not to let the bounce of my chest from my laughter wake Amelia before waving my hand in a dismissive manner at her apology.

“It’s all good, Luna, it’s all good. I do find it slightly amusing though that you can go from German suplexing someone through a flaming table to getting bowled over by a beagle.”

I laughed again as I recalled the brutal nature of the ending to Luna’s match I’d managed to catch earlier on. Luna smiled in response.

Don’t you sweet girl?” Luna’s voice grew softer.

“Well, I can’t speak for pets, although I am more of a dog guy myself. I do have a baby girl here though. She’s only a week old but she’s already proving to be quite the handful. If this is what she’s like in days I can only imagine what it’s going to be when she’s at school….but I’ll worry about that later.”

Luna’s expression changed to a bright smile as I turned my phone slightly to bring Amelia into full view.

So I’m thinking, we should go on a little friend date, climb some castles and see how we mesh as people.” Luna said as her dog had suddenly decided she was done being on show and took off somewhere. Luna’s gaze averted from her interaction with me, seemingly watching where the dog had wandered off to before she turned back to face me although I sensed that her fixation was more on Amelia snoozing away on my shoulder than on me. And then, as if on cue, she started to stir, one of her tiny little scratch mitt-covered hands reaching up. She had an all-too-familiar expression on her face that, even as a week-old baby, I knew all too well. Poonami alert. She shifted uncomfortably which caused me to almost drop my phone and then the smell came. Yup, there it was.

“Sshhh, it’s okay darling, you’re alright! Yes, you are! Daddy’s right here…uh-oh, I think we have a code brown situation! Did you go fill your nappy? Did you?”

I turned my head, knowing Eve was awake as I’d heard her in the kitchen down the stairs.

“Babe! Can you take Amelia for a moment! She needs a clean nappy and I’m on the phone!”

Moments later my wife walked into the bedroom, a smile on her face.

”Come to mommy! Let’s give daddy some peace and quiet to talk to his new friend and we’ll get that smelly touche changed!”

I gently handed Amelia off to Eve who cradled her gently and walked out of the room.

“Thanks, babe, I appreciate it. Bye-bye darling! Daddy will come give you loads of tummy kisses after he’s done speaking to his new friend!”

I turned back to the phone screen to give Luna my undivided attention.

The comfort settled in a little and it looked like maybe the person she was trying to hide from me was shining through.

And then suddenly, I could hear a loud crash from Luna’s end and assumed her dog was up to no good again. Luna stood up quickly, and shook her head, the video feed feeling like I was watching one of those found-footage films.

“I have to go see what destruction is being caused before I end up like a screaming baby too. I’ll message you for details on the meet-up later. Unless the dog kills me. In which case. Lovely talking to you, Lover.” Luna said quickly, and without even giving it a moment to settle, had hung up the call. I stared for a moment at my own reflection staring back at me from the background of my phone.

“What have you got yourself in for, Parker? Hmm? This is either going to be lightning in a bottle or a complete shitstorm… let’s hope it’s the first…”

Hastings, England
April 26th 2024
On-Camera

It was a nice day in Hastings, England. For April, Spring was in full swing, wispy clouds dotted about the afternoon sky was a tapestry of teal, with the bright aura of the sunshine creating a beautiful warmth. Not words you’d often associate with an afternoon in East Sussex. I savoured it, lifting my hand up, bridging the side of it against my forehead to shield my eyes from the bright light as I walked across the field where the infamous battle took place.

“I’ve been a professional wrestler for a long time. I’ve graced many different promotions and organisations in the eleven years I’ve been lacing my boots up. The Hardcore Wrestling Alliance, World Championship Wrestling, Zion Wrestling, One Wrestling Movement, the Xtreme Wrestling Federation, Five Lakes Wrestling, TRIAD, Pro Wrestling Valor, FIGHT! Championship Wrestling… and now here I am… Sin City Wrestling, another big debut on the cards. And make no mistake, out of all the cards left in the deck, you’re looking at the absolute fucking wildcard of the entire tournament. And you know? In the last eight? Nine months? Making big splashes like this is becoming something of a habit.”

I held my hand out, my thumb extended.

“I arrived in XWF last year, took their Madness brand by storm, switched to Anarchy and won the Anarchy Championship from Centurion on my debut in December and I’m still champion!”

My index finger joined my thumb.

“I entered the Porter Games, beating Dionysus and your brand-new Internet Champion, Peter Vaughn before narrowly-losing out to Chris Page in a match I arguably should’ve won!”

Then in came the middle finger to join the party.

“I crashed the TRIAD Strength Trials, outlasted seven other competitors including former SCW World Champion, Mark Cross and the husband of my Blast From The Past Tag Team Partner, Alexander Raven! I went the entirety of the Wit Trials without being pinned in matches against the likes of Matt Meyhu, the Big Bifford, Shawn Warstein, Corey Black and CYPH3R!”

I took a moment before continuing.

“LIke I said, making statements like this is becoming something of a habit, a habit I plan on continuing here in Sin Cin Wrestling…now, granted, a lot of you SCW regulars probably don’t know me from Adam but I promise you all, once my time in this tournament is done, you will know what I’m capable of and why they call me the Sky Assassin! And it starts with you, Kat and Teddy, here, on the fabled site of Hastings on April Twenty-eighth.

Ms Jones, you and are no strangers. You have my respect, you’re probably one of the standout Bombshells of this whole thing. Your WGWF exploits are certainly nothing to be sniffed at. But from what I’ve seen, your record in Sin City Wrestling is significantly… less than stellar. Your first match of the year was what? Three weeks ago? And before that, you hadn’t won a match in how long? Eight months?! You bottled a chance to win the Bombshell Internet Championship and couldn’t even drag yourself to victory in a straightforward tag team match. Still, at least you’ve managed to scrounge enough chips together to pay for one more buy-in.”

I walked across the fields of Hastings, my eyes scanning the beautiful, picturesque scenery before me.

“But, I have to wonder if throwing yourself into the Blast From The Past Tournament is the brightest idea, Kat, knowing the next card you could be dealt could be a joker. Or perhaps it’s you that’s the joker of the pack but you fancy yourself a queen? Is this one last big call? A chance to prove you’re still the same Bombshell that won the Roulette Championship all those months ago. Whatever it is, you better come to this table with an ace or two up your sleeve because you’re gonna need every trick in the book to survive Luna.

And that brings me to your partner… the person I’m more concerned with… Teddy Warren. Apparently, according to the next Climax Control card summary, Teddy, you're…”

I brought my hands up, making a set of mocking air quotes with my fingers.

”...’Unique and controversial’. But, from what I gather, the only thing controversial about you is your decision to drag yourself out of the doldrums of anonymity, thinking you have even the slightest chance of reviving a career that’s little more than a dying ember at this point. In fact, by the time the sun sets on Hastings, England come the twenty-eighth of April, my one match in SCW is going to eclipse everything you’ve ever done in this company.

See, Teddy, whilst you’ve been doing…whatever the fuck it is you’ve been doing since your name last held any semblance of relevancy, I’ve been establishing myself in the pantheon of professional wrestling. And It’s actually ironic that this week’s Climax Control is taking place in Hastings… the site of the historic battle. Do you know the history of the Battle of Hastings, Teddy? Do you know what was actually at stake? Well, allow me to educate you! You see, our match? It’s not all too dissimilar from what transpired all those centuries ago. Much like the Would-Be-King, Harold Godwinson, wanted to claim Edward the Confessor’s crown for his own, you want Blast From The Past 2024 to be your crowning achievement, a return to form…

…But your ignorance and stubbornness blind you, Teddy, just as Harold’s did. Blinded by the arrogance of his own prowess, unaware of the impending storm that approached. Just as he faced the fury of William's army, you’re going to come face to face with the relentless onslaught of my own ambition and skill. And just like the arrow that flew through the air and pierced through Harold’s eye and skewered his brain like a kebab, you won’t see me coming, Teddy. Except it won’t be an arrow, it’s going to be a Masamune Decapitation separating your jaw from the rest of your head!”

I took another brief moment of respite, thinking on my words, allowing for the weight of them to sink in.

“But you know, William’s conquest of Great Britain back then doesn't even touch the sides of some of the greatest conquests in history, Teddy… You’ve got Alexander the Great… Ghengis Khan… Julius Caesar, the Dictator of Rome… Napoleon Bonaparte, Emperor of France… Attila the Hun….Timur… Francisco Pizarro, the Conquistador of South America…. Mahmud of Ghazni, the First Sultan…and now, in 2024… Sean Parker in Sin City Wrestling...

But I am no mere conqueror; I am the embodiment of destiny, the architect of my own legacy. Just as William claimed victory at Hastings, like Alexander the Great took a stranglehold over half the world, this little comeback of yours will be snuffed out and you can skulk back into the shadows of mediocrity where you’ve made such a comfortable home for yourself this past year. See you at the weekend…”

As I prepared to walk off camera, something in my peripheral vision suddenly caught my eye. Now, it’s worth noting that when I arrived for my media duties here in Hastings, I was made well-aware the ruins here were private property and that interacting with them was strictly off-limits. I had to squint to get a better look at whatever this was and soon found myself hurriedly walking across the fields to get a closer look. It then started to twig… Surely not? I thought to myself as I got closer and closer. Someone was actually climbing the sacred ruins of Hastings and not just anyone. I don't think I could have rolled my eyes any harder when it eventually dawned on me who it was…

“Luna! Fuck sake!” I shouted. I was then acutely aware the cameras were still live… I turned to the crew who had been following me around. ”Aye, um…you might want to stop filming… unless you want SCW to get into legal trouble…”

The scene quickly cut to black.

Climax Control Archives / CALEB STORMS WILL MEET HURRICANE BILL BARNHART
« Last post by Andrew on April 25, 2024, 08:18:01 AM »
CALEB STORMS WILL MEET HURRICANE BILL BARNHART

Narrator:  The Mixed Tag Team of Bill Barnhart and Roux are facing the Mixed Tag Team of Caleb Storms and Nakita Niles. I equate the team of Bill and Roux as a pot of gold while I equate the team of Caleb Storms and Nakina Niles as a bag of shit. With that said I turn you over to Bill Barnhart at the Hastings Battlefield in Hastings, England.

The scene shifts and we get a camera shot of Bill Barnhart standing in the Hastings Battlefield in England. We take notice that Bill is sharply dressed in a dark gray business suit, instead of his normal casual attire. We are surprised that Bea is not with Bill during his presentation of comments for his match in the Blast From The Past Tournament but we are sure Bill will explain Bea’s absence.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Bill:  Before I launch into my official comments concerning my Blast From The Past Tournament match I want to tell you why Bea is not in front of the camera with me at this time. Although Bea will be at ringside during my match, because she is my Manager and has the right to be at ringside when I wrestle, I asked her not to be on camera with me while I am commenting on my upcoming Mixed Tag Team match. Bea may have something to say just before our match starts on Sunday but that is up to her. Bea wanted to take the time to do some sightseeing since she has never England and she wanted to take in the sights and the history. With that said I will move on to my comments concerning my team consisting of myself and Roux and our opponents is the team of Caleb Storms and Nakita Niles.

Bill smiles into the camera.

Bill:  So, Caleb, how the hell are you doing? Considering that you and Nakita are about to step into the wrestling ring against me and Roux and get you asses kicked I would say you two are not doing well at all. You are old news Caleb and a new edition of the news has been printed and I have been declared the current news. Old news needs to be thrown into the and you need to be thrown in trash also.

Bill pulls out a small piece of paper and he begins commenting on the information on the paper.

Bill:  Caleb let me remind you of several things. I am a two-time Roulette Champion and you are also a former Roulette Champion but there are significant differences in our reign as Roulette Champion. Caleb you won the Roulette Championship on May 13, 2028, and then you lost it 14 days later on May 17, 2018, Damn! Can you spell pathetic with a capital P? I can! That two week run as Roulette Champion was PATHETIC Caleb! Myself, on the other hand, have had two reigns as Roulette Champion. My first reign as Roulette Champion was earned on October 3, 2021 and it ended on April 3, 2022, for a six month reign. My second reign as Roulette Champion was earned on October 30, 2022 and that reign ended on January 15, 2023 for a three month reign. I have a combined reign as Roulette Champion of 9 months. Did you hear me Caleb? Did you understand what I am trying to get you to understand? You had a two week run as Roulette Champion and I had nine months of being a successful Roulette Champion. The information I presented shows that I am a better wrestler than you could ever hope to be. Since your super-short reign as Roulette Champion was in 2018, while my two reigns as Roulette Champion were in 2021 and 2022, that proves to the world that I am current news and you are yesterday’s trash.

Bill lets out a sinister laugh.

CURRENT INFORMATION

Bill:  Sorry for laughing in your face Caleb but when hilarious stuff like your pathetic two-week reign as Roulette Champion comes out I could not hold back my laughter. Speaking of amusing things shall we now do a quick review of our two teams for the Blast From The Past Tournament? With your team I see something that I am sure you are not able to see. I see you, Caleb, as a failure in the wrestling ring. As for your partner I have no clue who she is or where she came from but with you are her partner your team is doomed to lost to my team. Speaking of my team we already know I am so awesome that I glow in the dark. My partner, Roux, comes from a great wrestling background and the two of us are coming into our match with you and Nakita to quickly defeat you and our team will advance in the Blast From The Past Tournament.

Bill looks deeply into the camera.

Bill:  I have been involved in many Blast From The Past Tournaments. Most of the time I had jerk partners assigned to me when teams were drawn and these jerk partners did not care about the Tournament at all so all they did was deliberately cause our team to lose. In the few times I had a great and supportive partner we advanced significantly but ended up being eliminated and that’s how things work in this type of tournament. You never know when the draw will get you a great partner, an incompetent partner, or a partner who sabotages your chances because they simply do not like you.

Bill again grins into the camera.

Bill:  Caleb while I have an amazing partner for the Blast From The Past Tournament you have team consisting of you as a washed up and worn out wrestler and you are teamed with a wrestler who is not much more capable than you are. When our team eliminates you in this first round of the Blast From The Past Tournament you will, in the end, thank us for ending your pathetic attempt to participate in the Tournament because your team getting eliminated early in the Tournament saves you from continuously being humiliated in the remainder of the Tournament.

Bill lets out a loud roaring laugh.

CLOSING COMMENTS

Bill:  Well, Caleb, I have reached the part of my air time to present my closing comments concerning our match on Sunday. Do you think your team can defeat our team? Nope! Even a snowball has a better chance of surviving in Hell than you and Nakita have in defeating us. Our team eliminating your team in the first round is actually doing you a favor so you will not have to endure taunts and teasing from the other wrestlers and fans. Will Bea be at ringside serving as my Manager. Of course she will be there! What is her job as my Manager? To make sure that you and Nakita do not violate the rules, or cheat, or use weapons, during the match to try to screw me and Roux out of our win.

Bill gives a thumbs up into the camera.

Bill:  Caleb I need to tell you how our father taught us to be tougher than everyone else. As you probably know, but probably forgot, that there were three kids in our family. Me, my half-brother Chris Shipman, and our sister. Father taught the three of us to be tough as he did not raise wimpy whining little brats. Father served in the United States Navy during World War II and it was damn hard work. When we three kids were playing, or riding our bikes, or playing sports, and we got hurt or injured, Father would get on us to get up and keep going. He told is there will always be hard times in our lifetimes but laying down and crying about the hurt and the pain only makes you weaker. That is why, Caleb, when you have watched me wrestle over the years you never see me lay down and stop fighting in a wrestling match. No matter what an opponent dishes out I dished out more back to them. Of course I lost wrestling matches and every wrestler has. But I did not roll on my back and give them a cheap win. I fought all the way until the Referee made their official decision on the match.

Bill stares a deep stare into the camera.

Bill:  Why did I tell you that information Caleb? Do you think I did it to intimidate you? Do you think I did it as a lie to get you to believe what I am saying? No, Caleb, I told you that information to enlighten you to the fact that you are not facing the regular type of wrestlers you used to face. I told you that information to enlighten you to the fact that you are facing me as an opponent who will not back down no matter what. That you are facing an opponent who will send you back into retirement.

Bill growls into the camera.

Bill:  Caleb I am happy you decided to return out of retirement to participate in the Blast From The Past Tournament. It had to take a lot of courage for you to come out of retirement and attempt to wrestle in the tournament. After me and Roux defeat your team you will be overjoyed to return into retirement. Me and Roux will not have any compassion or pity on you two. You two are a joke team from a comedy skit while me and Roux are superstars in the sport of wrestling. Enjoy your time leading up to our match because the instant the bell rings to officially start our match we will be on you two, and destroying you two, and we are likely to defeat you in record time.

Bill gives a mean look into the camera.

Bill:  Caleb you remind me of weather forecasts. The Meteorologist will present their forecast for the weather and tell everyone there is a vicious storm coming. A storm that will out-do a storm like Hurricane Katrina. Then when the storm arrives it ends up being little more than a quick rain shower that does nothing except to make people laugh at the moronic weather prediction the Meteorologist made.

. . .

Bill:  Yep, Caleb, that is you in a nutshell. You brag how great you are but you are also coming off a several year absence from Wrestling. While you were away from Sin City Wrestling doing. . .well whatever the hell it was you supposedly were doing. . .I was still here in Sin City Wrestling and firing up the crowd with my wrestling.

. . .

Bill:  In my eyes you are like an uninformed Meteorologist who makes a grand prediction for the pending disastrous storm, calling it the storm of the century, only to have nothing more than a drizzle of rain. So I say to you Caleb that you are a weak rain drizzle while I am a Category Five Hurricane. Welcome to your worst nightmare.

Bill grins a huge grin and then he laughs loudly. He then informs the camera person that he is done with his comments and the camera person cuts their camera feed and our screen goes dark.

Date: JANUARY 3RD, 2015 || Camera: OFF

The lights in the room were bright. The single desk set up in the middle of the room had a recorder on it. The mask-wearing patient sat at the desk.

Of course both of his hands were shackled together. His feet are the same. All of those shackles leading to the chair he sat in.

There was nowhere for him to go. Even if he wanted to, but the shackles weren’t for the fear of him escaping.

The shackles were for the safety of the young doctor walking in. She had already been attacked once by the patient sitting at the desk.

Although their relationship had seemingly improved the last few months. The trust wasn’t there and likely never would be.

She then found herself taking a seat. Sitting down with a notepad and pen right in front of her. Before reaching over and pressing the record button.

“This is Dr. Wynn.
This is session twenty five with the Entity.”

Her hazel eyes coming up to meet the patient’s that were behind the mask.

“Are you ready to speak?”

“Of course. . .
It’s taken us a while to finally warm up to each other.
But I think you now know what I expect.
And what I will or will not tolerate.”

“As I mentioned before.
I’ve never meant any harm or any disrespect.
You came to our facility almost two years ago.
All I’ve ever wanted to do was help.”

“Do you know how many times I’ve heard that Dr. Wynn?
I’ve heard that ‘no disrespect’ was meant.
I’ve heard ‘we all have the respect in the world’ for you.
More times than I can count. And every single person that said it. . .
They meant to be disrespectful.
They didn’t have any respect for me. Never did. Never will.”

The masked patient just shook his head in a disappointed manner.

“People are fickle.
They’re never meant to be depended on or trusted.
I’ve had to learn that lesson the hard way. More times than I’d like to admit.”

“And the most recent time was with that company you were telling me about.
Is that correct?”

“Ah, yes that was our last discussion.
Good ol’ Sin City Wrestling. The shadiest professional wrestling company to exist.
Ran by two corrupt men. Mark Ward and Christian Underwood.
Two men that said they respected me.
Two men that said they appreciated me.
But everything they said was a lie. It was all a lie.”

“I’m aware that we’re starting to get to the root of your problems but. . .”

“Problem? Oh Dr. Wynn.
I think you still severely misunderstand.
I never came to this place for help.
In fact I came here to embrace who I needed to be.
I had to become who I am now for the ultimate revenge.”

The sinister chuckle that fell from the masked patient’s lips made the skin crawl of the doctor before him.

She had a job to do still. Regardless of how on edge he made her feel.

“Ultimate revenge?
I want to know more about that and where your head is.
However, before we go there. I want to back up for one second.
Those two men. Mark and Christian.
Why are you so convinced they’ve done you wrong?”

“The proof is all in the pudding.
I played the game they wanted to play.
I was a model employee. I did exactly what they wanted.
Showed up for every event. Competed every match I was in.
Even took their prized purpiles and put them on a higher level.

And then when I did the highest honor.
They turn on me. They refused to honor the deal.
Refused to extend my contract.
Left me without a job. With a family to support.
They’re evil intentions were shown.”

“I am just going to call this how I see it.
Corporates are hard to understand.
They make complex decisions all day long.
Some we will never have to deal with.
Being a boss isn’t always rainbows and sunshines.
Are you sure it was truly a matter of malice?
And it wasn’t just a hard decision you don’t understand being made.”

“Oh I’m more than sure my view is correct.”

Those words were just dripped in hatred. As much as it may have been a figment of his imagination. Mentally ill or not the mindset wasn’t going to change.

“Everything. . .
Everything done since then proves it was done with intent.
When it was revealed I blew my ACL that last match.
No phone call. No bump in my last check. Certainly no job offer.
My name has not been mentioned in a year and half since leaving.

I get no royalties when my image is used to promote things.
They’ve done everything they can to move on from me.
To forget about me. To erase my career and my legacy.
For no reason at all.
That is something I cannot let go unpunished.”

“I don’t want to upset you. . .
Do you understand when you talk about revenge?
When you talk in riddles? When you come off threatening?
I can never tell my boss that I feel like you’re safe to the public.
Your time here isn’t going to come to an end.
We have to find a way for you to channel this energy into a more positive mindset.”

“Again. There is your ignorance rearing its ugly head.
I am here to become who I need to be. Listen to me when I say that.
You have no authority over how long I say or when I go.
That fat pig you call a boss has no control.

I have all the control. And when the time comes.
When the transformation is complete.
I’ll let you know when I’m ready to leave.
And you’ll walk me out the door. Hand in hand.”

“I don’t believe that will be the case.”

“I do. . .
You don’t want another run in with me.
They almost didn’t get to you in time.
Think about your husband. Your two year old.
They’re not ready to say goodbye to you.
Like you’re not ready to say goodbye to them.
Just know you will do what I want when the time comes.”

Her facial expression displayed nothing but fear. She had never mentioned her personal life. Even some of her co-workers didn’t know.

She quickly reached for the table and smacked the button to the recorder to shut it off. Getting out of her seat as quickly as she could. The masked patient began to laugh.

“Dr. Wynn. . .
You don’t understand how deep you’re in this thing with me.
Trust me when I tell you. You don’t want to be part of this revenge tour.
We’d be much better off as allies.
I’m a man that likes to take matters into my own hands.
I can be very dangerous when the time calls.”

“You’re disgusting!”

It was the only two words she could let escape her lips. Before she quickly stormed out of the room. Leaving the masked patient shackled there.

His demonic laugh began to consume him. As he rocked himself back and forth in that chair as a true unstable human being.

Camera: ON

The sound of church bells ringing could be heard with the shot opening up. Sure enough with the cameras panning around.

The location was revealed inside of a church. Inside the church. Not a soul was seen. Not even the priest. All the seats were empty.

Service had concluded for the day. The sounds of the bells were signifying that. A slow turn of the cameras leading to their primary focus.

A confessional booth. More than anything the focus was on the door where a cross was featured. Cameras slowly started to zoom in.

Then Like some type of black magic, there was a sudden flash of white light. With the shot now inside the confessional booth.

The wicked grin of the one they called The Entity was shown. A slow pan up to their face as the soulless areas were visible. Almost glowing like never before.

The silence now broken by the masked figure.

“A false prophet. . .
That is someone that claims to be a gift prophecy.
Someone that claims to be divine inspiration.
More or less someone that believes that they are on a level above the rest.
And sometimes false prophets are made because of false followers.”

Surely just a few words being spoken by Entity. They would have the Sin City Wrestling faithful’s attention. Whether they wanted to give it or not.

“That’s where the false prophecy of Miles Kasey comes in.
Fans all across the globe clamor for the man.
Some go as far as calling him the greatest wrestler of this generation.
They believe that he can hang with the best of them.
No matter who he is matched up against.
Hell, the match he just competed in.

Fans are calling it the greatest wrestling match of twenty twenty four.
There’s still so much time in the year to go. How disrespectful.
And it doesn’t end there with the fans.
Pay close attention to his peers. They overhype this man.
They also believe he can hang with the best of them.
They are the ones that say he had one of the best Internet Championship reigns in recent history.

They are the ones that say he’s a future World Heavyweight Champion.
They’re the ones that say it's an honor and privilege to face someone like him.
All of these comments and claims add to the aura of Miles.
It adds to this false prophecy that he’s some kind of wrestling god.
It’s disgusting to hear the things these people say.
It’s even more foul that Miles doesn’t bother to correct them and tell the truth.”

Entity’s face twisted into a ‘sour’ like expression with that sentence.

“Not once have you humbled yourself, Miles.
You’ve never come out and denied the claims of being one of the best.
You’ve never shut down the calls for you to be a World Champion.
Never one named five Internet Champions that were easily better than you.
Instead you embraced those claims. You embraced those remarks.
You’ve leaned into this false prophecy which now means you’re endorsing it.
That means you belong in hell. You deserve to burn in forever eternal damnation.”

Each word being spoken had the Entity sounding more and more frustrated. Their opinions of Miles Kasey are very different.

Far different than the rest of his peers. To the point it had the masked figure upset. That heavy breathing from behind the mask becoming heard more often.

“By embracing this false prophecy.
You leave me no other choice but to expose you.
No other option but to lead you down the path to your eternal damnation.
But of course. . .
What I am saying right now is falling upon deaf ears. Am I right Miles?

After all, who I am to you?
What do I mean to you?
What do I mean to Sin City Wrestling?
When am I ever going to amount to anyone around here?
All these questions have circled your head.

Like they’ve circled everyone else’s head that I’ve faced.
That’s exactly what Mark Ward wanted.
It’s what Christian Underwood wanted.
They wanted my presence to have no effect on anyone.
My career and my legacy, they wanted to be nonexistent.”

Smallest little shake of the Entity’s head was visible. They continued on while starting to clap in a very sarcastic manner.

“Congratulations. . .
If you are letting my words fall upon your deaf ears because of that.
Then you’re a moron. I already told you this. I’ve told everyone this.
I know what they’ve done and what they’re trying to do.
It’s not a surprise. You’re just setting yourself up for failure.
But maybe that isn’t it.”

The masked figure’s clapping came to an end. All while starting to tilt their head to the side.

“Maybe the reason for deaf ears is HB Carter.
Are you taking advice from him?
Are you letting him give you words of wisdom?
Are you letting him be your guide to defeating me?
Carter is the only person to defeat the Entity thus far.
That might be fact, but you know what else is fact?

Fact number one. Wins mean nothing.
Losses mean nothing. This is Sin City Wrestling.
Where the mediocre will forever be rewarded.
You could lose every match for six months in a row.
You’ll have at least three title shots handed to you.
Without being earned during that time.

I’ve said it before. I’m not here to be the competition.
I am simply here for revenge.
Here to make certain people pay for what they’ve done.
It seems to be something people struggle to understand.
But the more bloodshed that ends up on my hands.
You’ll understand, Miles. You’ll all understand.”

This deep demonic laugh consumed the Entity for a moment. That was more than a telling sign that the masked figure was anything but sane.

They were anything but someone that could be rationalized and understood. Everything about them screamed they wanted to watch the world burn.

“Fact number two. What did HB Carter do with that victory?
It’s a feather in his cap. A chance to rise up the ranks.
A chance to show he has arrived here in Sin City Wrestling.
Despite being here all this time. But Carter did what he always does.
He goes right back to just being another body on the roster.
Once again he goes right back to being complacent.

Carter had no direction. He took no step forward.
He did nothing with the win. Barely even made it onto the last supercard.
If it wasn’t for him being friends with some hag. He’d been sitting at home.
You know that just as much as I do.
If you ask me. The writing is on the wall.
It’s there in black and white.

You’re far more successful than Carter ever thought about being.
You’ve held championships. Competed in Main Events.
Done many of the things he claims he wants.
But for some god forsaken reason.
You’re going to listen to him. Take his advice.
Allow him to lead you nowhere.”

Entity had their glove covered hand brought up. Shaking it right before the cameras in a ‘no-no’ like manner. As if they were referring to Miles as a toddler of sorts.

“And that brings me to fact number three.
You don’t have the confidence to be in the ring with someone like me.
Taking that loss to Peter at Blaze of Glory.
It shook you to your core. It shattered you. It broke you inside.
It broke your mindset. It made you question your abilities.
It made you question whether or not you belong.

I know that you’re not going to admit to that.
You’re not going to give me that satisfaction.
That’s why you’re really leaning into this false prophecy.
Soaking in the attention you’re getting for a match of the year candidate.
I am not a fool. I know how these games work.
But deep down. You know what I am saying is true.”

Once again that evil smirk had appeared on their expression.

“To stand across from me. . .
You’ll need confidence. You’ll need the ability to believe in yourself.
Entering the ring with me already deflated, lost, and confused.
It makes this easier for me than it should be.
Surely, you don’t want to do that Miles.
You don’t want to give it all away before the match happens.

If you do that. Then you lose your fans.
You lose the support of your peers.
No more big time matches. No more being viewed as a pillar to Sin City Wrestling.
Giving up on yourself is the worst thing you could do but. . .
It would be the smartest thing you ever did.
I get that you brits aren’t the smartest.

In fact some of the dumbest people on earth.
But this is the time you should listen to me.
Show up on Sunday. Walk to the ring.
Lay down in front of the world. And expose yourself.
It’s for the greater good. It saves you a beating.
It saves me from sending you to the Emergency Room.

It saves you from having to put your loved ones through hell.
And through torture of making them watch what I do to you.
I’m telling you, Miles. This is the best option.
After all, even the man they called Jesus. . .
A true prophecy did what was right.
For the ones he loved. For the greater good.”

Bringing religion into the mix. Likely wouldn't be well received by anyone. Entity on the other hand kept that devious smirk across their expression.

“You’ve got the chance to show your selflessness
Or you got the chance to be selfish.
It’s all in your hands from here on our Miles.
But I assure you. If you don’t go the smart route.

All the pain. All the suffering.
All the blood that will be spilled.
It won’t be worth it. You won’t come out the other side.
You will not still have a false prophecy attached to you. Regardless.”

Following those words. The Entity found themselves leaning in a little bit closer to the cameras. Now speaking in a satanic-like whisper.

“In fact Miles. . .
I told all of Sin City Wrestling. I was going to take matters into my own hands.
From here on out. I will not settle until chaos is amongst us all.
You don’t take the easy way out. Then the savage beating I put you through.
It’ll make the crucifixion of Jesus Christ look mild!”

The close up shot on those soulless eyes were enough to send a chill down the spine of the viewer. Then with another bright white flash.

The shot was outside of the confession booth. Focusing on the cross on the door once again, but this time it had been flipped upside down.

That was quite the statement by the Entity. Within seconds of being outside the confessional booth the shot found itself fading to black.

Date: APRIL 23RD, 2024  || Camera: ON & OFF

The shot opening up was a little shaky at first. Clearly not a professional camera nor a professional behind the camera.

Once the camera got held still it was revealed it was looking inside of a window. Then all of the sudden that booming loud voice could be heard.

Speaking in as close to a whisper as possible.

“Mark and Christian. . .
This video is going to be sent to the office.
Because by the time it makes headlines that one of your ‘employees’ have committed a crime.
You’ll be under so much fire to figure out what happened.
I want it to come straight from my mouth.
And my mouth alone.”

There was an almost sinister sounding snicker that left the Entity’s vocal chords.

“I told you back at Blaze of Glory.
I’m tired of the disrespect. I’m fed up with everything.
All you’ve taken from me and made disappear.
Therefore it’s time I take matters into my own hands.
And why not start with the family you forced me to abandon.
I’ve harmed when once by walking out on them.

Now I need to send a message loud and clear.
I need to have blood on my hands in the worst ways.
I need Sin City Wrestling to crumble.
What better way than having it gain bad press?
By a disgruntled man taking out his grieves on the ones he’s meant to love.
Oh what a headline it’ll make indeed.”

Entity’s gloved covered hand could be seen reaching for the window they were filming. Lifting it up slowly and very gently. Being sure not to make a sound.

Once the window was opened enough the camera became shaky again. All for a brief second before it came clear Entity had climbed into the home.

“I had two young children. A little boy and a little girl.
I had a drop dead gorgeous girlfriend who I loved dearly.
We were living on cloud nine when I was employed
With you back in two thousand and thirteen.
Best lives one could have. Then you stripped it all away from me.

You didn’t resign me like you said you were.
I was left without the funds needed to support them.
You contributed to the downfall of my mental health.
You are the reason I viewed myself as a failure to my family.
And the two of you didn’t feel even the slightest bit of remorse.”

Entity had slowly started to walk throughout the home. A lot had changed in the last eleven years. It didn’t look like it once did.

Nor could it be expected to be the same. Soon enough they found themselves slowly but surely starting to approach the stairs to lead to the second story.

“I left them high and dry.
Because of how you made me feel.
And because I could no longer provide for them.
They never understood it. They never will.
But for the last eleven years I missed out on my children’s lives.

I missed out on Nicole’s life.
And I won’t take the fall for that.
None of that would’ve happened, if it wasn’t for you two.
But now is the right time for a reunion.
Especially considering who I am facing this week.”

By the time their statement was finished. Entity had made it to the top of the stairs. Still speaking in that deep voice but with a whisper tone.

“Miles Kasey. . .
He gets to be employed. He gets to be a golden goose.
More importantly every single week. We all have to witness him.
Shove his relationship down everyone’s throat like it’s supposed to matter.
Miles gets to experience love and flaunt it.
He gets to support his family.
But I didn’t. Again the lack of respect and value.
You had for me is apparent.”

Their words were soaked in bitterness. Entity finding themselves reaching the top of the stairs and walking down the hall.

Poking his head inside the room. Thus far there wasn’t a soul in sight. One would have to assume that was a good thing.

Entity stopped in front of one of the doors that were shut. Pushing it open. Once he did so the review inside the room was very distinct.

It clearly belonged to a teenage boy. Lots of trophies on shelves. A basketball in the corner. eve a poster on the wall.

Entity could be heard scoffing from behind the camera. The poster was that of Miles Kasey. By the sound in their voice. It struck a nerve.

“Imagine that.
Because SCW took everything from me.
Forced me to abandon my family.
Made sure I didn’t have a job.
My son grew up to have a false prophet as his hero.
I’ll be fixing that real. . . real soon.”

Turning themselves around. Taking the opposite direction down the hall. Once again letting their voice be heard.

“Now I know that we don’t know each other, Miles.
And you might think that my issues with the company.
My issues with Mark and Christian. They don’t have anything to do with you.
But that’s where you are wrong. They’ve got a lot to do with you.
They’ve got a lot to do with the entire roster.

But specifically with you.
How dare you get to support your family?!
Make sure they don’t ever have to suffer.
Give them anything they may ever need.
How dare you get to live our happiness with your loved ones?!

Get to travel to work with them every week.
Having the chance to see the world.
Knowing every night your relationship is as good as it can get.
And more importantly. . .
How dare you get to be valued more than I ever did?!

You’ve never been to the top of the mountain.
Not like I have.
You’ve never provided the ratings that I did.
You have never had the stock.
That I did.

I can look at my career and yours side by side.
Everything I did in two thousand twelve to two thousand and thirteen.
Outshines everything you’ve ever done.
Or ever will, if we are being honest.
Yet, you get praise. You get value. It’s disgusting!”

Their voice raised for the first time. Showing that extreme amount of disdain for the man known as Miles Kasey.

“Like everyone else Miles.
You’re okay with it.
You’re okay with being held higher than me in value.
Despite the fact if it wasn’t for me.
People like you wouldn’t exist here.
You wouldn’t get the opportunities that have been handed to you.
But no one will give me the credit I deserve.”

As the Entity was approaching the end of the hall. From the door to the left that was closed. The sound of running water could be heard.

That being the indication that someone was home after all. There was a sudden flip in the camera view as the face of Entity was now being shown.

“Maybe just maybe.
Mark and Christian will show this footage to you too, Miles.
If I am willing to harm the ones I love.
For the sake of sending a message.
After I lost everything to begin with.

What makes you think I won’t harm you worse?
You’d be a fool to think otherwise.
In the end all that needs to be understood.
This on the hands of the company. It’ll even be on your hands Miles.
I will not stop until every one of you loses it all!”

The camera flipped back around. As the door was starting to open up. Steam rolling out of the hot room. A brunette in her mid to late thirties walking out.

Wrapped in a towel. Her attention was focused on her phone. No idea what awaited her. That booming voice speaking out to capture attention.

“Hello Nicole. . .
Long time no see.”

The hair on the back of the woman’s neck stood up. She dropped her phone in a startled manner. Looking up and coming face to face with that masked figure.

A blood-curdling scream could be heard leaving her lips. The woman turned to rush back into the bathroom. Retreating in fear.

“There’s going to be nowhere for you to hide!
There’s going to be nowhere for you to run!”

Entity rushed the woman and in doing so dropped the camera. It hit the ground and shattered the screen. Briefly catching the Entity trying to get to the screaming woman.

The camera stopped recording due to it being broken. The screams of Nicole got a little louder as she tried to push the door shut.

“No please! Leave me alone!”

Entity stopped trying to force their way in. Instead they stepped back and allowed the woman to close the door. The gloved hands of Entity came up.

Their fingertips pulling on the strings that kept the mask so tight to their face. Before yanking the mask off and holding it in their right hand.

“Nicole. . .
It’s me.”

Those words were soft spoken. Different from what was taking place moments ago. The voice sounded familiar enough.

The woman’s screams had come to an end. She popped the door open. Ever so lightly. Enough to be able to peek at it. Her gaze locked on the now maskless man.

She almost fell to the floor as the door opened. Her hands covering her mouth. The state of fear now being replaced with a state of shock.

“You’re. . .You’re. . . You’re. . . Alive?!”

Tears formed in the brunette’s eyes. Leading to her swinging the door open the rest of the way. She rushed out and wrapped her arms around the man.

Her sobs could be heard as he dropped the mask out of his hand. Letting it hit the floor at their feet. For the first time in eleven years he was . . . home
