 {Roxi sits in her condo, lounging on the couch, watching TV and eating a chocolate pie. She eats a bites, savoring her favorite dessert, of course, it’s mid-afternoon, so this isn’t even really dessert time anyway. A rustling of clothes and other things behind the bedroom door makes Roxi turn her head towards it, as Keira exits the bedroom, wearing her normal tank top and jeans. She grabs her purse off the kitchen table.}

Keira – Okay, I think I’m ready to go.

Roxi – Right. And… can I tell you that, I have never been more proud of you? You beat Mercedes right in the middle of the ring, I cannot tell you how happy you’ve made me. I know I told you at first that… I was worried about bringing you in to SCW, but now… I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner.

{Keira blushes and giggles.}

Keira – Well thank you babe. I just hope that soon, we can take those championships from them, and take everything they have away!

Roxi – Me too.

{Keira places her purse on her shoulder.}

Keira – You sure you’re going to be alright by yourself?

Roxi – Keira, it’s me. I’ve been alone before. You just have a good time with your sister. Don’t worry about anything.

Keira – I’m just saying… if anything happens, call me.

Roxi – I will. I promise. But you need to spend some time with Maria before she gets married.

Keira – I just hope she doesn’t end up like Jenny.

{Roxi can see the concern on Keira’s face.}

Roxi – Keira…

Keira – She’s all alone, Roxi. She’s got a kid, she’s sick, she’s got… all this on her plate. I feel like… we need to help her.

Roxi – Keira, I know, I know. Jenny’s tough, and she’s a friend.  I feel bad for her too, but what exactly do you want me to do? What can WE do? I can try and set her up with people, I don’t know what you want to do about it Keira?!

{Keira just sighs.}

Keira – I… I don’t know what to do… I feel so helpless.

{Roxi, stands up, and goes behind Keira, wrapping her arms around Keira’s waist, hugging her tightly and kissing her neck.}

Roxi: I know baby, I will try, I promise you, I will try to help her as best I can.

{Keira smiles a little, but turns to face Roxi.}

Keira – No, WE will.

Roxi: Yes, we will. But for now, you need to help Maria plan her wedding.

{Keira smiles, and kisses Roxi before she breaks away from the hug, synching her purse on her shoulder again.}

Keira – I will be back. Oh… and we’re going shopping.

Roxi – Shopping? For what?

Keira – Clothes, silly.

Roxi – You don’t need any more clothes!

Keira – I can always use more clothes.

{Roxi can only shake her head, and smirk as she blows Keira a kiss.}

Roxi – I’ll see you soon.

Keira – Bye!

{Keira exits the room, headed down to the car. Roxi watches from the security cameras in the condo. Keira gets in their SUV and drives away safely. Roxi then heads into the bedroom and puts on her costume, preparing to head out on her nightly patrol. However, right when she’s about to exit out the window, Vision calls.}

Roxi – Vision?

Vision – Rox, I need you and Keira…

Roxi – Keira’s not here.

Vision – Where is she?

Roxi – She’s out with family.

Vision – Can you call her in?

Roxi – What is going on? I don’t want to pull Keira off a good time. She needs it Vision. Is there anything super important happening?

Vision – We need… bodyguard duty…

Roxi – …. Excuse me?

Vision – There’s this singer, Barry Powers. Owes a lot of money to the mob. He’s called for us, because apparently, Hammer is after him.

Roxi – Oh… wonderful. So… Hammer’s coming after this guy?

Vision – Yeah, so… we might need Keira.
Roxi – No… no… I can handle this.

Vision – Roxi….

Roxi – I took down Hammer before… without any powers. Now I’ve got this.

Vision – I don’t like it, but… If you’re ready…

Roxi – You tell me where he is, and I’ll protect him.

Vision – He’s at the Cocoa club, downtown.

Roxi – Tell him I’m on the way.

Vision – I still feel like I should call Keira.

Roxi – No! Leave her alone. I can handle this. You know I can.

Vision – I just don’t want you getting yourself hurt.

Roxi – It’s part of the game. I’ll heal.

Vision – Hammer almost killed you before.

Roxi – Yes, before I could heal. Now, I can. Come on Vision, you know I’m good for this. It’s been way too long since I rolled solo anyway!

Vision – Well… with any luck, nothing will happen at this performance.

Roxi – I’m on the way. I’ll meet him, and watch everything.

Vision – Good luck Rox. And…. Be careful.

Roxi – Always am.

{Roxi flies out the window, headed towards the club.}

Greeting friends, you friendly neighborhood … Err… resident superheroine here. What an enjoyable month March was, and April is already turning out to be an amazing month with much more fun stuff ahead! I must congratulate Misty on her pregnancy! I really hope that Misty finds her happy ending, and I can never thank her enough for the leadership she provided to the bombshells locker room. And I will totally try and do my best to live up to your expectations, and of course, my harshest critic and biggest fan Eden. Autie Roxi will make you proud!

I am also so proud of my wife, for kicking Mercedes’s ass and proving herself as more than just my wife. I already knew it, but now, all of SCW knows it. My wife is more than capable of beating anyone, anyone in the world when she sets her mind to it. She is an amazing woman, and I am so lucky to have her in life. But, I am getting off track aren’t I? I know, there’s so much happening it’s hard to keep up, but now, I have to focus on the task at hand. Teaming with the Roulette champion! Natalie McKinley! I am so honored and thrilled to be her partner! I told her earlier I was honored to be teaming with her, so she knows, and it’s my job to provide Natalie with a worthy partner as we kick more mean girl butt!

So, anyway, here we are. Fresh of making Veronica tap out, I get to face her again, this time in tag team action. Like I said, I was debating on whether or not to just go all out against Veronica, but, I chose to not give it… ALL of my effort, because I simply wanted to send a message to Veronica and show her just how everything I’ve ever said about her is true. That’s she’s the weak link of the Mean Girls, and she can’t stand on her own. Keira proved it when she kicked Veronica’s ass at Blaze of Glory, and then I showed her she’s not ready to face me either. And now, after proving it on Wednesday, I get to prove it again on Sunday. I’ve noticed I’m not hearing from the peanut gallery much anymore. I said Veronica would quickly forget her loss and try to act like she still has a chance on Sunday. When she knows, I know, and heck, the whole world knows that Amanda, Liz Smalls, Delia, and Mercedes were all pretty much capable on their own, and she was not, and thus the point was proven. I’ve been saying it for a long time, and now, it’s shining through, all thanks to Keira, really. She may be the key cog in the wheel that the bombshells needed to finally rid themselves of the Mean Girls.

And as such, the Mean Girls have clearly gone into desperation mode, and started attacking various Bombshell’s to prove they’ve still got it, since they all fell pretty hard at Blaze of Glory 4. That nonsense is going to stop soon, because I’ll be addressing that on Sunday before Natalie and I kick the crap out of the Mean Girls again. Nat did her part, and took the Roulette title from Mercedes, since Mercedes was practically fighting the bottom of the barrel in SCW, to be quite honest, and fed her own ego. Yeah, she beat Traci Patterson, Zuri Justice, and a host of others, and yet, Natalie beat her in the middle of the ring, and then walked into Blaze of Glory and beat Mercedes AGAIN, this time for the championship. So, to say that I’m confident walking into Milan with Natalie as my partner is a bit of an understatement. Anyone who is a friend of Simon Jones, is a friend of mine. Simon and I have always been friends, and even when things got a little odd last year, Simon was the first person to stick up for me. He was the first to let me know that people cared about me, and for that, I am always going to be his friend. Not to mention that Simon was my partner. I mean, It’s just a shame that Simon is retired, and I don’t have the ability to get him as a partner for the Blast from the Past when it rolls around, because that would have been amazing. But Natalie is his protégé, so it’s the next best thing to teaming with him. And I can’t let him down.

So, kicking Mean Girl’s ass with Natalie, is totally a go right now.

{Roxi arrives at the club, standing on the roof, looking down at the limo pulled up in the alley behind it.}

That must be him.

{Roxi floats down, landing beside the limo, and knocking on the window, it’s slowly rolled down.}

Roxi – Barry Powers?

{The limo door opens, and Roxi looks around, making sure the coast is clear, before entering. Barry’s blonde slicked back hair and sharp suit indiciate he is a man of wealth and taste, but he’s sweating through the suit, and his face reads nothing but worry.}

Roxi – I hear you’re looking for a super-bodyguard.

Barry – They sent you?

Roxi – Yeah, they did.

Barry – I need guaranteed protection.

Roxi – It’s why I’m here.

Barry – How can you protect me? You’re…

Roxi – A girl? I know. It’s a shock to me sometimes too…

Barry – That’s not what I meant, but… it’s just you?

Roxi – Yeah, sorry, my partner’s a little busy.

Barry – So… they think you’ll be enough?

Roxi – Mr. Powers…. Barry, if I may,  It’s my job to protect people. You asked the guild, here I am. Now, if that’s not enough for you, because I’m not Kevin Costner, then… I’m sorry.

Barry – No… no.. it’s… They sent Hammer after me.

Roxi – The mob does that when you owe them money, which… how much do you owe by the way?

Barry – $500.

Roxi – Dollars?
Barry – $500,000

Roxi – Oh… well… yeah, that’ll do it.

Barry – You gotta help me.

Roxi – I’ll make sure nothing happens, but… right now, you’re gonna need to at least be inside.

Barry – The limo’s bulletproof.

Roxi – But not Hammer-proof, I’ve seen the guy crush Honda’s with his bare hands.

Barry – And you’re going to stop him?

Roxi – I have before.

Barry – Yeah…. How?

Roxi – I… choked him out. But, I’d rather not be in here and get crushed like a sardine if he shows up, you’re kind of a sitting duck right now. We all are in this tin can.

Barry – Alright, alright… Let’s go Benny.

{Benny, the limo driver, gets out, and opens the car doors and Roxi rushes Barry into the back of the building. Rushing him into his room backstage, Roxi closes the door, and begins checking the room.}

Barry – What are you doing?

Roxi – Checking to make sure there’s no bombs, or drugs, or bugs in here.

Barry – Oh… well… carry on then…

Roxi – Thanks bud.

{Roxi continues to search, not finding anything out of the ordinary.}

Roxi – The room is clean. You stay in here until it’s showtime.  Don’t you dare come out, you got me?

Barry – Yeah… sure.

Roxi – If Hammer knows where you’re performing,  he’ll be here. I’ll be outside. I’m going to get a look at the people coming in, and… if he shows, I’ll get you out the back. Benny needs to get rid of that limo and get you a different car. Make that call.

Barry – But he’s my driver! It’s my limo!

{Roxi races up and snatches the worried Barry by the lapel.}

Roxi – It’s also a dead giveaway. Tell him to find a Ford Focus if he has to! This isn’t a game, Barry!

Barry – Alright! Alright! I’ll tell him.

Roxi – Good. Like I said, stay here.

{Roxi exits the room, checking the halls to ensure no one weird is hanging around backstage. Satisfied, she exits out the back, and flies up to the building across the street from the club. Hunkering down, she pulls out her binoculars and begins looking.}

This is why I hate stakeouts, no action. I just hope that nothing does happen, and I can go home early. But… if Hammer knows he’s here, he’ll be here. But, a 7 foot monster as wide as a truck shouldn’t be too hard to spot. But, I don’t think he’ll be coming alone, that’s for sure. He’ll have guys here, or at least, plants in the audience. I’ve got to be ready/

{Time passes and Roxi hasn’t seen anything out of the ordinary, with security also checking people out. Roxi enters through the back again, and knocks on Barry’s door, he answers, still nervous.}

Barry – Anything?

Roxi – Looks clear. Security checked everyone at the door, and Hammer hasn’t shown up… yet.

Barry – What if he does?

Roxi – Then I’ll deal with him. You can trust me.

Barry – Fine.

Roxi – Good, now… you go out there, and knock ‘em dead.

Barry – Dead?

Roxi – Oh… right… my bad… Break a…. no, wait… that won’t be good either.

{Roxi pauses, trying to think of a good expression on what to say.}

Barry – Uh…

Roxi – Hold on… I’ll think of it… Oh, come back to me, I’ll have something.

Barry – Could we?

Roxi – Alright… good luck. See, that works, right?

Barry – Yeah.

{Roxi helps adjust Barry’s tie, before sending him out there.}

{Roxi has found her way up the catwalk of the club, watching ever so patiently for any sign of trouble, seeing nothing throughout the performance. She dances and claps and sings along as Barry goes through a number of ‘70’s and ‘80’s love songs. Finally, as he finishes “Right here Waiting” by Richard Marx, the doors fly open and a security guard goes flying into the room, panic erupts! Roxi who had been sipping coffee, spits it out, and burns her tongue before getting up.}

There’s my cue!

{Roxi springs into action, landing as people rush past her to safety. Hammer is standing in the doorway.}

Roxi – Hey bith guy..

Hammer – What?

Roxi – I… Burm my tungg okay?!

Hammer – Why do you have stick your nose in my business? This don’t concern you!

Roxi – Yeth it doeth!

Hammer – You know what, I’m done with this.

{Hammer swings at Roxi who backflips out of the way. Hammer is just too slow to hit Roxi as he swings over and over again, ad Roxi is able to avoid any damage. Roxi then leaps forward, and lands on Hammer’s shoulders. Hammer is able to grabs Roxi by the arms, and fling her across the club, landing on some nearby tables. Luckily for her, her healing prevents too much damage. She simply marches back into Hammer’s path.}

Roxi – Stoth right there!

Hammer – You know you can’t hurt me. What do you think you’re going to do? You attack me, you feed my strength…

Roxi – Yeth… I know.

Hammer – So, why don’t you just back off, before I. HURT. YOU.

Roxi – Seemth fair. Buth… no.

Hammer – Then I’m going to squash you!

Roxi – Hereth we go again…

{Hammer keeps swinging, but Roxi decided that she’s had enough of the fighting, and produces a flash bomb from her pouch. But, her momentary hesitation costs her as Hammer is able to swat her away. Hammer then eyes Barry, who turns and tries to run Hammer’s henchmen are right there with guns, having snuck in the back.}

Hammer – This could have been so easy Powers. Now… you gotta die.

Barry – Please… I’ll pay you! I swear!

Hammer – Too late Barry!

{Hammer is about to give the order, when Roxi throws her flash grenade and blinds the whole room. She takes out the three henchmen holding Barry, and then cradles Barry in her arms and run with him in her arms towards the back of the building.}

Roxi – You’re a lot heathier than you look!

Note to self, next time doing bodyguard duty, do not re-enact the Bodyguard movie …

{Benny, who went unnoticied by the henchmen sneaking is, in waiting with a different car. Barry gets in, and Benny drives away, but not before Roxi puts a tracker on the car. Roxi then turns and runs back into the building, where Hammer is, of course… long gone. Roxi handcuffs the still knocked out henchmen, as the police as showing up. Roxi of course, makes herself scarce before they can see her. She contacts Vision on the roof nearby.}

Roxi – Vision?

Vision – How did it go? Is Barry safe?

Roxi – He’s long gone. Put a tracker on the car, he’s… right on the freeway, headed upstate.

Vision – Nothing happened?

Roxi – Ran into Hammer… have a few laughs.

Vision – Nothing bad though right.

Roxi – I burned my tongue.

Vision – So no…

Roxi – It was traumatic!

Vision – Anyway… What happened to Hammer?

Roxi – Looks like he got away, but Barry’s long gone.

Vision – Well… get some rest Rox, you did good out there.

Roxi – I was totally Queen of the Night!

Vision – What?

Roxi – It’s from the Bodyguard! The movie! That’s the song that plays when she gets attacked!

Vision – You are so silly. Take is easy Rox.

{Roxi flies away after ending the call, heading back home.}
<HR>
{Roxi flies back through the window, and Keira is there, waiting, tapping her foot with her arms folded as she leans against the door frame.}

Roxi – Oh… hi…

Keira – Don’t “Hi” me! You were supposed to call me!

Roxi – Everything went alright, I’m fine.

Keira – You just had to run solo didn’t you?

Roxi – Keira, It was just so you didn’t have to break off with Maria, and you could have a good time, and not worry about it.

Keira – I could have helped!

Roxi – Everything went smoothly, I promise!

Keira – Uh-huh… you’re costume is ripped!

Roxi – I’m fine… really…

Keira – You need to take it easy, you’re the one with a match on Sunday.

Roxi – I know…. I’ll be ready. I already kicked Veronica’s butt this week.

Keira – And… Amanda?

{Roxi sighs, her face contorts into a mixture of anger, sorrow, and disappointment.}

Roxi – I suppose I know I’d have to deal with her at some point.

Keira – You see what she did… what she says now… She needs to pay.

Roxi – It’s complicated…

Keira – No, it isn’t. You and Natalie need to kick both their asses, make them bleed, and while you’re at it, give Amanda to punch in her stupid face for me!

Roxi – Alright, alright. Calm down.

{Roxi sits down on the bed, and begins taking her costume off.}

Roxi – I don’t want you getting worked up over this. That’s what she wants.

Keira – I don’t care, Roxi. That bitch turned on us.

Roxi – I know, and… I’ll deal with it.

{Keira sighs, and punches the wall, still angry.}

Roxi – Did… did you at least have a good time with Maria?

Keira – Yeah…. I guess.

Roxi – Did you get any more clothes?

Keira – Oh yeah…

{Keira smirks.}

Keira – Lots of yoga pants… just for you…

{Roxi can’t help but smile too.}

Roxi – Excellent.

Amanda…. I want you to understand when I tell you that, even though you’ve called me, my wife and my friends “losers” and done everything you possibly could to make this a personal situation, it’s not. I don’t hate you. Far from it. You’re attitude flip-flopped on me for no real reason. Keira wanted to destroy the Mean Girls because of what they’ve been doing to the Bombshell’s division, nothing more, nothing less. Not because you were there. In fact, that made the entire thing even more complicated. But how many times did Keira and I tell you that they don’t care about you, the way we did? Plenty of times. And you chose them, despite the fact that they think you are a freak. You’re not one of them, you have tattoos, you like to be tickled, an activity you can’t share with any of them. But you could us. You always could with us, because we accepted you for who you were, and who you are. You never had to change, with us.

Even when Keira wrestled you, she didn’t want to hurt you. She wanted to be friends. It was just business, because you just happened to be on the side that Keira despises. I never wanted this to escalate to the way it has, but sadly, this is what it’s become, and really.. this isn’t on Keira, this is on you. You made it clear that you’d rather have artificial friends, than real ones. I didn’t turn on you, you turned on me. You started calling me, and my wife names. That’s how this whole thing got started. I could have left it when you beat Keira, and so could’ve you. But no, you, like the rest of that group, you wanna bask in your glory, and rub it in. I still didn’t say anything about you, because I never had an issue with youu, which makes all of this, all the more frustrating, and disappointing. I didn’t want it to come to this, and I would hope that you didn’t either, but judging by your words, your insults, and outright lies… I can see that you’re now comfortable with the role you’ve taken up. And that… is sad.

Let me be clear here Amanda, Veronica is garbage, Mercedes is a parrot, and Delia is a child. All they want, is someone to carry the banner, that’s why they’re tolerating you in the first place. But that’s where my involvement with them is over. You and I? We were friends, and you ruined it, and now, you’re telling people that I’m trying to sabotage you or hurt your family. My business with you Amanda, is in the ring. Now, at one point, it may have extended beyond that, but never, did it extend to your family. Because there’s a line, and I don’t cross it. I would never involve your family, in an issue with you. I don’t need to stoop to that Amanda. I would think, in the short time we’ve known each other, and had a chance to talk, that you would realize that, but instead, your mind has apparently been poisoned by the rest of the group to think that. And for that, I am sad.

I was willing to take all of this and just… let it go, Amanda. Just move on from everything and focus on my goal of being a champion, and a leader, but instead, you wanted to continue to push, and push, and push. Now… I don’t have the qualms I once had about beating you. You don’t scare me Amanda, I do not fear you, I don’t feel sorry for you anymore. Now… I just pity you. I pity the choice you’ve made. It’s one that could have been avoided, but you wouldn’t listen to reason. You can blame Keira all you want, but in this match, in Milan, you really have no one to blame but yourself when you and Veronica are beaten right in the middle of the ring, but two better wrestlers. I wish things were different Amanda, but they aren’t. This is what you wanted, so this… is what you’re getting. I really hope you understand the ramifications of what you’ve asked for.

Natalie was right. She and I…. are going to tear you guys apart. She is a great champion, and I will not let her down. I will be the partner she needs, and together, we’re going to beat the tag team champions at their own game.

See you guys in Italy!
