Issue #56

 The events of two weeks ago are still fresh in my mind. I would say that it sucked to lose that ultimate X match, because being the first SCW Bombshell’s internet champion would have been amazing. But, alas, a fluke and a rookie mistake on my part, cost me the match, which, is something I’ll have to live with. On top of that, it just has not been a successful year so far for me. In fact, I haven’t won one single match yet! And it all started in Birmingham. I was optimistic that this year I could climb back up the ladder and become a champion again in SCW. But, it’s not been a good start. The only thing to do, is get back on the horse and ride some more. I know full well what I’m capable of, and how much I can do. I just need to get a win under my belt for 2015.

But, worse than that, was the shameful and appalling attack on my good friends O’Malley, Misty, and Melody. It was just terrible and cowardly that people had to attack my friends like that. And I know, there might be questions about where I was, but those that know me, know that I don’t attack anybody, much less plan to attack my friends for no good reason. I was so happy that the three of us were team! And now, all this has left Melody and I to pick up the pieces and try to make up for lost time. Who knows the extent of Misty’s injuries, and how long she’ll be out? It hurts my heart to see this end up this way. I know that Melody and I can get to the bottom of this if we put our heads together.

It’s just been a crazy, and hectic month, and now, here comes the Blast from the Past tournament again. If I’m going to change my luck, I know I can do it there, considering my past history in the matches itself. I made the finals in the first year, and the second round last year. In fact, Steve and I defeated Emma and Gianni, the heavy favorites to win in the first round last year! I know that with the right partner, the finals and a win could be on the horizon!

But, as fun as that sounds, as awesome as it would be to get a great partner and win Blast from the Past… I still am very concerned about Misty. I know I can’t let it dominate my thoughts, but, it’s going to be tough. I almost want to dedicate my performance to her, but she’s supposedly signed up too! Now the possibility could be that I have to face my friend! And I could also be facing Melody too! Man… this is just too hectic right now. All these things swimming around in my head, I just hope that everything is okay with Misty.

And true to our word, Melody and I will get to the bottom of this situation. We will not give up trying to find the people who would attack Misty for no good reason. It’s a horrible thing to have happened, and because I wasn’t there to prevent it, I feel a little responsible. Which is why I am making a promise to Misty that I will do everything I can, to make sure the people who attacked her, are taken down.

I may even find them in the Blast from the Past tournament…. But the best place to start, is at the beginning.

{Inside Birmingham Indoor arena, shortly after Inception has closed out the show. The staff had packed up, and left for the night, all except for two people., Roxi and Melody, who were scouring the building, looking for any sight of the people who had attacked by O’Malley and Misty, and even Melody a little, backstage at the show.}

Roxi – I don’t think there’s anybody left Melody.

Melody – But we have to find them!

Roxi – The building is empty except for us and security.

Melody – Maybe they saw something!

Roxi – Well, let’s start with what we know. You and Misty find O’Malley down, Misty runs in, they grab you, and hit her with a chair.

Melody – Uh-huh. That’s what happened!

Roxi – Alright, You said there were wearing hoods.

Melody – Those stupid black hoods!

Roxi – They set a trap for Misty, just to put her down, but they didn’t hurt you, did they?

Melody – No… they just… held on to me so I couldn’t help.

Roxi – Guy or girl, holding you, which would you guess?

Melody – Guy… way too strong for me to break away, or even slip out.

Roxi – And the person who hit Misty?

Melody – I can’t remember, I was fighting and all that stuff.

Roxi – So, at least one guy, possibly two. Who in the world would want to attack just Misty and O’Malley?

Melody – I don’t know, but we have to find them!

{Roxi thinks for a minute looking around the area.}

Roxi – I think you should go to the hospital and wait with O’Malley for Misty.

{Melody nods, but looks concerned.}

Melody – But… but… aren’t you coming?

Roxi – Yeah, I will. I just want to re-trace some steps first. O’Malley’s going to need somebody to help get him through this.

Melody – Okay… But don’t you go down too.

Roxi – I’m just going to review everything, it’ll take like 5 minutes. I’ll meet you at the hospital.

Melody – Okay… Please be careful.

Roxi – I will. I promise.

{Melody walks away, continuing to look over her shoulder for any random attackers, and once in a while back at Roxi who stands, looking around at the ceiling.}

Who the heck would just attack Misty like that? And so viciously too?

{Roxi walks back to the scene of the crime so to speak, where some of Misty’s dried blood is on the ground, and some other blood, presumably from O’Malley’s injury as well.}

So someone saw O’Malley, rushed up behind him and whacked him with a chair, presumeably, this was to draw Misty in, to get to her. It’s clear that Misty was the prime target, At most, O’Malley took a couple of shots just to keep him down, maybe a one on the ground for good measure. If they were going after him, they wouldn’t have stopped. No, they waited for Misty to find O’Malley, and then they struck. Then they didn’t do anything to Melody… They wanted Misty. A lot more questions than answers at this point…

{Roxi survey’s the scene again, noticing the security camera positioned off the corner. It moves back and forth, and could have possibly seen something if only for a few seconds.}

There might be something to go on. I need to see if that can be reviewed…

I have to go through the proper channels to get that footage, despite the security saying it has been reviewed and caught no sign of an attack in the area, until it was too late, and O’Malley had already been attacked. But it can answer exactly who we’re looking for, based on what I see in the camera.

That is, if I can get my hands on it.

Why is there always so much to worry about?

{Later that week, Roxi is at home with Keira. Keira can see the concern in Roxi’s face.}

Keira – You okay?

Roxi – I’m worried about Misty.

Keira – She wake up yet?

Roxi – Yeah. And she had NO idea who any of us are anymore.

Keira – Amnesia?

Roxi – Big time. She doesn’t’ remember anything prior to the attack.

Keira – That’s awful. Did they get the guys who did it?

Roxi – Melody and I are trying to find any sort of leads we can. They Birmingham indoor area has said they can’t release the tape to me, without approval from SCW staff, and I won’t see them for a least another week.

Keira – You could just… procure it…

Roxi – It’s a last resort.

Keira – And what about…. You know?

Roxi – Amy’s coming with me, we’re going to look at it.

{Roxi looks down at her phone, and sees the message from O’Malley on her twitter. It reads:
“@Superheroroxi @SCWMelody Could either one of you help @SCWMisty, she’s lost in Las Vegas!”
Roxi looks up at Keira with a concerned look on her face.}

Keira – What’s wrong?

Roxi – Misty’s in trouble. I gotta go help her!

Keira – Wait, where is she?

Roxi – She went for a walk and got lost. I’ll be back as soon as I can.

Keira – Where’s O’Malley?

Roxi – Ireland.

Keira – And Melody?

Roxi – Busy. Keira, I’m the only one close enough.

Keira – Just be careful.

Roxi – I will.

{Roxi rushes to the door, soon taking off into the sky headed for Las Vegas. She keeps in contact with O’Malley on her twitter.}

Roxi – Misty, what do you see?

Misty – A really big guitar. The sign says Hard Rock Café.

Roxi – Okay, I know just where that is. Go there, and stay put. I’ll be there as soon as I can.

Misty – O..Okay…

{Roxi continues heading in that direction, her concern growing}

O’Malley – Hard Rock Café? How the heck did she get so far away from her house?

Roxi – I don’t know. I told her to stay there and wait for me.

O’Malley – Are ye sure she’ll recognize ya, love?

Roxi – She may remember me from the hospital, if nothing else, it’ll be slightly familiar to her. And that’s better than nothing.

O’Malley – I suppose ye’r right. Thanks for doing this darlin’

Roxi – Of course. I’m on the way, I’ll let you know what I get there.

O’Malley – Be here waitin’ love.

{Roxi flies onward.}

This is unreal. I’ve never seen Misty so discombobulated before. She got lost taking a walk?  I know she’s just trying to remember everything, but this isn’t good is she can get lost just walking. Hopefully she stays near the Hard Rock, so that it’s easier to find her. It’s almost like she’s a child again. I am not liking this at all. And that search of the backstage area didn’t tell me anything conclusive. I’ll have to confer with Melody more…

{Landing in Vegas in a rooftop near the Hard Rock, Roxi eases her way to down to street level, out of view of anyone noticing. Before she begins walking towards the Hard Rock, her eyes darting in many directions, trying to find her friend. Finally making it to the Café itself, Roxi wanders around the outside of the building, peering in occasionally to see if Misty had made her way inside for some reason.}

Where the heck did she go?

{Roxi’s eyes finally light up when she sees Misty sitting on the guardrail, her hoodie up over her head as her head also rapidly moves from side to side, a timid look to her body language, as she sees nothing but strangers. Roxi slowly makes her up to Misty, who hasn’t spotted her yet.}

Roxi – Misty!

{Misty turns, and a small smile crosses her face as she finally sees someone she recognizes, if only slightly.}

Misty – Hi… R… Roxi, right?

Roxi – Yes. That’s right, you do remember!

Misty – I guess…
{Roxi sits down next to Misty and gives her a comforting hug, which Misty only slightly returns as she looks off into the distance, still not quite sure what to make of Roxi completely.}

Misty – You came… like you said.

Roxi – Of course I did. As soon as O’Malley –

{Misty stops Roxi by covering her ears as the sound of O’Malley’s name.}

Misty – I don’t like that guy!

Roxi – Misty, I promise, he’s fine.

Misty – No! No! He kept coming to the hospital and staying outside my door. He’s creepy! Dixie said he’s no good! He was watching me sleep!

{Roxi can both see and hear the genuine fear of O’Malley in Misty’s voice as she speaks. She smiles and puts her arm around Misty.}

Roxi – Okay, okay… Look, as soon as I heard you were lost, I had to come find you.

Misty – Why… why did you come anyway?

Roxi – Because you asked for help. And… you are my friend.

{Misty eyes Roxi suspiciously.}

Misty – We…are friends?

Roxi – Yes. We are. I was there in the hospital when you woke up, remember?

Misty – You… you were… I do.

Roxi – You can trust me, Misty. I’m not going to try and hurt you. I want to help you.

Misty – You do?

Roxi – Of course.

Misty – People keep saying that to me. O’Mallory or whatever says it too. I don’t know who I can trust!

Roxi – You can trust me, and you can trust Melody.

Misty – Melody?

Roxi – The other girl that was with me. The blonde, was very excited to see you.

Misty – Oh… okay...I… yeah, I remember her a little.

Roxi – Good. We’ll start there, okay?

Misty – Okay….

Roxi – Now, we need to get you home. Do you know where that is?

{Misty stands up looking at her surroundings, trying to make heads or tails of where she is. Her frustration builds as she is unable to recognize anything familiar.}

Misty – I… Uh… I…

{Misty begins to panic a little as Roxi tries to calm her down.}

Misty – I don’t! I’m so lost!

Roxi – Okay, okay, that’s fine. That’s why I’m here. Sit back down, it’s alright.

{Misty is shaking from the panic in her mind of not knowing. Roxi comforts her as Misty almost shrinks into the fetal position next to her. Roxi pulls out her phone and begins dialing, stroking Misty’s shoulder to comfort her with her other arm. Misty looks up and sees Roxi on her phone.}

Misty – W… What are you doing? Who are you calling?

Roxi – I’m calling my friend to see if they can call your sister to come get you.

{Misty’s eyes widen as she sits up.}

Misty – WHAT?! Are you leaving me? You’re going to leave me here all alone?!

{Misty begins tugging at Roxi’s shirt, as Roxi gently pulls away.}

Roxi – No! Oh my goodness, no! Why would I do that? I’m going to stay with you until your sister comes. Or, if need-be, I will take you home myself once I find out the address.

{Misty relaxes only slightly, sitting down and holding her head in her hands. Roxi rubs her back as she speaks.}

Roxi – Hey… Listen… I found Misty, she’s just fine. … Yes… Listen, I’m going to need someone to call Dixie… or… at the very least, give me address so I can take her home if need-be…. Yeah… thanks… That’ll be great. Just text me when you know… Thanks a whole lot!

{Roxi ends her call and looks over to Misty who stares at her still frightened.}

Misty – Who did you call?

{Roxi hesitates, not wanting Misty to know O’Malley is the one she called, as to not upset her.}

Roxi – A friend of mine.

Misty – Must be nice…

Roxi – What?

Misty – To have friends. I don’t have any friends. None that I remember anyway.

Roxi – You have me. And you have Melody.

Misty – But… But… I barely know either of you! I barely know Dixie, or my own daughter! I didn’t know I had a daughter! There’s so many confusing things going on!

Roxi – I know, I know. But you know what?

Misty – What?

Roxi – Melody and I, and a lot of other people from SCW are willing to help you try and remember.

{Misty arches a brow, even further confused.}

Misty – SCW? What is SCW?

Roxi – Yeah, it’s where you and I work together.

Misty – We work together?

Roxi – Yes.

Misty – Are you sure?

Roxi – Yeah, I’m sure.

Misty – What do we do?

Roxi – We wrestle…

{Misty flinches backward, in disbelief.}

Misty – Wrestle? Like…. Fight each other?

Roxi – Well, kinda, yeah.

{Misty covers her mouth in shock. She shakes her head, not believing what she’s hearing.}

Misty – No. No. No. No. I don’t do that. I don’t like fighting. I wouldn’t hurt anybody!

Roxi – I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s the truth. If means anything, you are…were… are one of the best!

Misty – Me?

Roxi – Yes.

{Misty doesn’t really believe Roxi, but she also laughs because she’s flustered.}

Misty – You say I’m a good wrestler? I don’t know anything about wrestling. I don’t know anything about me! Everything since before I woke up in the hospital is a complete blank! Why can’t I remember anything?!

Roxi – It’s alright. Melody and I are going to help try and jog your memory. I’ve got some stuff I can show you, maybe it’ll help you remember.

Misty – I hope so.

{Misty’s head drops into her hands again, as Roxi keeps her hand on Misty’s back to let her know she’s there. Roxi’s phone buzzes and she looks at the text from O’Malley which reads “Dixie knows She’s on her way”.}

Misty – What’s that?

Roxi – My friend texted me. She got a hold of your sister, and she’s coming to get you.

Misty – Okay…

Roxi – But until she gets here, I’ll stay with you.

Misty – Thank you. I needed that.

Roxi – It’s not a problem. I’d do anything for a friend.

Misty – You… you seem very nice. I like that you came for me. I think you are a friend.

Roxi – Of course I am. Now, no more panicking. Everything is okay now. Your sister is coming, and I’ll be here as long as she takes.

Misty – Thank you.

{Roxi throws her arm around Misty, hugging her tightly, as Misty’s face still reads a lot of uncertainty.}

Goodness, she’s like a child. She’s terrified right now. She can’t make heads or tails of anyone or anything around her. I really hope that when I come see her it can help clear a few things up. Melody didn’t seem to have too many answers, and neither did O’Malley. None of this is adding up. And poor Misty is caught right in the middle. I hate this feeling. To her, I’m probably just some nice lady helping her, but she may even think I’m trying to use her. I don’t like it at all. Something has to get some memories going, otherwise she may not be able to ever recover.

But until then, it’s one step at a time.

{Time passes, as soon the Hard Rock closes and locks up shop. Quite a ways away from the Strip, the area soon becomes scarce of people. Soon, it’s just Misty and Roxi, sitting side by side in the parking lot, waiting for Dixie.}

Misty – Do you think she’s coming?

Roxi – Of course she is.

{A small red car pulls into the parking lot, and pulls up close to where Roxi and Misty are sitting. The engine is killed, and Dixie slowly exits. Misty and Roxi stands up, and Misty slowly walks towards Dixie, who has a stern, but concerned look on her face.}

Dixie – There you are!

Misty – I’m sorry Dixie.

Dixie – You nearly gave me a heart attack! I got a text from O’Malley and –

Misty – O’Malley? Why did he text you?

Dixie – Because he knew where you were.

{Misty becomes agitated.}

Misty – How did he know? Why won’t he leave me alone?!

Dixie – You don’t have to worry about him, okay? I’m going to take you home. Get in the car

{Misty looks at Roxi, who smiles, and removes her hand from her back, and motions for her to go. Misty gives Roxi a big hug, wrapping her arms tightly around Roxi who returns the favor. Misty let’s go, and heads towards the car.}

Misty – Thank you Roxi! I’ll see you soon!

{Misty enters the car, as Dixie turns to Roxi.}

Dixie – Listen, as much as I appreciate what you did, Misty is much safer with me at home.

Roxi – I was just trying to help, Dixie. You know Misty and I are friends.

Dixie – I do, which makes me even angrier that O’Malley is part of this! I don’t like him!

Roxi – O’Malley is a good man. He’s the one who told me to come help Misty.

Dixie – Leave him out of our families business! He’s a creep and a stalker!

Roxi – Dixie, it’s not like that. He just wants to be sure Misty’s safe

Dixie – Just… don’t… Okay. Thanks for watching her, but she doesn’t need anybody but her family right now.

Roxi – Dixie, we all want to help –

Dixie – If you want to help, stay away, and keep O’Malley away while I deal with this.

Roxi – But –

Dixie – No buts! I mean it!

{Dixie hold up a finger, and keeps it pointed at Roxi as she enters the car with Misty, starts it up, and drives off, leaving Roxi alone. Roxi shakes her head and sighs, before making sure the coast is clear, and heading off back home.}

Dixie is in way over her head. I know Misty is her sister and all, but this isn’t something that can be cured overnight, or with seclusion from outside help. I’ve got to try and get through to Misty to allow people to help her, and hopefully, Dixie relents a little and let’s someone else give it a shot.

Hopefully I made a little progress tonight.

{Soon returning home, Roxi enters the apartment to find Keira waiting.}
Keira – Is everything okay?

Roxi – For now. Misty’s safe and back home now.

Keira – Poor Misty. She was such a fun girl.

Roxi – I know. Hopefully, with some effort, she’ll be back to her normal self soon.

Keira – But this is a new Misty, isn’t that a good thing?

Roxi – The Misty I saw tonight, is a scared little girl. And on top of that, Dixie is making her paranoid, telling her not to trust me, or Melody, or O’Malley.

Keira – Yeesh, that is bad.

Roxi – I know, it’s why I’m going to go see her soon. Hopefully by then, I’ll have been able to gain some of her trust.

Keira – SCW just released the Blast from the Past tournament pairings, you and Caleb Houston are tag team partners.

Roxi – Well… that’s… not bad.

Keira – It’s you and him against Mercedes and JT Midas.

Roxi – The Players Club is going against each other? Why does this not sound like a good idea?

Keira – I have a feeling you and Mercedes may be putting in a lot of work for this match.

Roxi – Yeah, me too. Add some more drama to my plate I guess.

Keira – Are you talking about –

Roxi – Amy and I went into Hamilton and saw what you were talking about. Amy and Melanie are forming a plan, based on those plans you stole.

Keira – I don’t like it Baby. I really don’t.

Roxi – One step at a time Keira. A lot of things are about to get really interesting soon…

So, it’s me and Caleb Houston. I feel like we are friendly enough. I remember at one point that you were Caleb Hugson! That was so cute. You and JT were so nice and you wanted to spread all the joy you could! I am happy that you are my partner, because I know that we can make a great team if we work together! I know how skilled you are, and you have the ability to do great things in the ring.

I know how much it must suck to have to face your partner, especially in the opening round of something this important. I have experience in this very tournament, so, if you want me to, I can try and guide you through how much it means to go out there every week and try to put on a great show. I know you and JT are close, but you will still be the tag team champions when it’s over, but only one of you can move on in the Blast from the past! It might as well be you, right? I mean, it shoots people right up the ladder. You could be in the line for the world title match soon! How awesome is that? That’s why I’m asking you to work with me on this, and let’s go out there, and win!

You just worry about JT, and I’ll handle Mercedes.

Now I know JT is going to put his best foot forward, so It only makes sense that you do too Caleb. Regardless of how you may feel about facing him, it’s important that we win this whole dang thing! If we do, we’ll make history! I mean, you are going to retire, so I feel fortunate to be partnering with you for this, so why not make this, the “one last run” that you can hang your hat on, before you hang it up! And beating JT would be just a little icing on the cake! You can still be friends, you just can have one up on him when you’re both retired, and having a beer or something one day, where you can look back and laugh at the whole situation! It’s win-win, if we work together and win! You’ll get my best, and I really want yours!

I’ll see you out there, you and JT hash the whole thing out, and bing, bang, boom, we’re off the second round! You don’t need to worry about Mercedes, she’s all mine!

{A few days later. Having gained Misty’s address, Roxi shows up and calmly knocks on the door. Dixie of course, answers the door, a not-so-pleasant look on her face.}

Dixie – What do you want?

Roxi – I want to talk to Misty.

Dixie – She’s busy.

Roxi – Dixie, don’t be like that.

Dixie – She doesn’t need any visitors.

Roxi – She needs to know she can trust people Dixie. I am her friend.

{Misty’s voice can be heard in the background.}

Misty – (shouting) Who is that?

Dixie – It’s nobody important Misty. Just try and get some rest!

{Misty walks up to Dixie and sees Roxi, who smiles and waves.}

Misty – You came! Just like you said you would!

Roxi – Of course I did. I made you a promise.

Misty – Dixie, let her in! She’s my friend!

{Dixie sighs, and eventually moves aside for Roxi to come in. Misty gives Roxi another big hug.}

Misty – What do you want to do?

Roxi – I just want to show you some stuff, maybe it’ll help bring back some memories.

Misty – Okay… Follow me.

{Misty leads Roxi to her bedroom. Roxi unpacks some SCW DVD’s and places them on the bed. Misty examines them curiously.}

Misty – Was I in a movie?

Roxi – No, sweetheart, those are wrestling DVD’s.

Misty – Oh…

Roxi – Does that logo ring a bell?

Misty – No… Can’t say that it does…

Roxi – What about your picture?

Misty – I… I don’t recognize the other people.

Roxi – Well, one is Laura Jackson, and the other is Vixen.

{Misty frowns.}

Misty – I don’t remember either of them.

Roxi – Okay, well… let’s watch the matches, and see if that does anything.

{Roxi puts in SCW Into the Void I where Misty wrestled Vixen. Misty watches intently cringing at the dangerous stuff she’s doing in the ring, and gasping t her own underhanded tactics. The match concludes and Misty just shakes her head.}

Misty – Why was I so mean?

Roxi – It’s just part of the show Misty, you are a good person.

Misty – I cheated! That wasn’t right at all! Then I acted like I was proud of it! I’m so ashamed!

{Misty hides her face in her arms. Roxi smiles and rubs her shoulder.}

Roxi – Trust me, you do a lot of good things too.

{Roxi pops in SCW December to Dismember 2, where Misty and Vixen were actually tag team champions together. Misty is shocked by this.}

Misty – We became friends?

Roxi – Yup. You and Vixen are friends. Or, really, you just respect each other.

Misty – She’s so nice for not hurting me after all I did to her…

Roxi – Oh, you’ve got worse enemies than Vixen.

Misty – I do?
Roxi – Yeah, but, watch the match, it shows you got a lot better.

{The match progresses, and Misty does not cheat, which makes her a little happier, then after she and Vixen win, they shake the hands of Song and Orchid.}

Misty – That was nice!

Roxi – See? Now, does that bring back any memories?

{Misty looks hard at the screen, but just shakes her head after a few moments.}

Roxi – Nothing?

Misty – Sorry. I really wish I could remember those things. But I don’t. I was a very bad, mean, evil person once. Why did I do that to people?

Roxi – It’s what you thought was right at the time. You did make a change for the better though.

{Misty nods and almost smiles to herself about her positive change. Then she looks up at Roxi.}

Misty – Did… uh… I ever wrestle you?

Roxi – Oh…. Yeah…

Misty – Was I mean to you?

Roxi – Well, at one time, we weren’t exactly best friends.

Misty – I’m very sorry if I did anything mean to you.

Roxi – It’s alright. You’ve given me a couple of bruises and stuff, but, it’s part of the game.

Misty – Oh… I can’t believe I do this.

Roxi – It’s alright.

{Dixie, having watched from the doorway, finally enters.}

Dixie – I think that’s enough.

Misty – Dixie?!

Roxi – I thought it was going okay…

Dixie – I appreciate what you’re trying to do Roxi, but it’s obvious that it’s not working.

{Roxi looks at Misty, who shrugs in agreement, the videos had not done as Roxi had hoped. She sighs and packs up the DVD’s back in to the backpack. All but one, which she “forgets” to pack up, leaving it on Misty’s bedroom floor.}

Roxi – Well, it may not have worked, but I’m not about to stop trying.

Misty – Thanks for showing me that stuff though… I wish it could have helped more.

Roxi – Me too. We’ll trying something else soon.

{Roxi gives Misty a hug and walks out of the room, Smiling and waving as she leaves, with Dixie escorting her to the door.}

Dixie – You know you’re going to give that girl a heart attack. She’s not ready to look at this stuff yet!

Roxi – Well when will she be Dixie? We can’t hide this stuff from her forever. Misty needs to know about this stuff!

Dixie – I know it’s certainly not now! She’ll have nightmares about wrestling if she continues. She’s not ready to wrestle yet!

Roxi – Misty is booked for the next SCW Show Dixie. She signed up for the Blast from the Past tournament….

Dixie – Well… I’m not sure she’ll be competing this year. It’s ridiculous to think she’ll be ready.

Roxi – She might have had a better understanding if you’d let me keep going.

Dixie – Roxi, I’m not trying to argue with you. I know what you’re trying to do. But between you, and Melody, and O’Malley creeping around here, she’s going to be a mess.

Roxi – Not if you let us help, Dixie.

Dixie – Look… just… give her some space. Okay?

Roxi – … Fine. But I’m not going to stop coming over here if she makes any progress.

Dixie – I… I will let you know if that happens.

Roxi – Thank you.

{Roxi exits the house, as Misty walks out from the bedroom a curious look on her face.}

Roxi – Bye Misty!

Misty – Bye Roxi.

Roxi – Hope you have a good day!

Dixie – We will, we’re going to go for a bike ride later.

{Misty looks around as if something came to her.}

Misty – Ride…. Ryder… Why do I know that name?

{Roxi’s face lights up in a knowing grin as she departs.}

And so, here we are again Mercedes. Once again on opposite sides, looking to shoot up the ladder again. But you see, you already have gold. In fact, I feel kind of naked considering I’m the only one in the match without any! It’s actually kind of embarrassing. Here you are, long-time Bombshell’s roulette champion. What an accomplishment it must be for you, to have your name in the record books like that. Good for you Mercedes.

But, simply because you have a title, does not make you a true champion. You and the rest of the Mean Girls have been escaping by the skin of your teeth time and time again, and you’ve struggled against competition that you, the great Mercedes Vargas, should be a lot better than. You used to dominate in some places, and now, now you’re just... holding on. But, I know that hasn’t stopped you from chiming in alongside Delia about how great you are.

You beat a game Traci Patterson, and Zuri Justice in the past few months. Not to mention other people like…. Cindy Warren… and… some other people I’m sure. The fact remains that you won. Good on you. But you know what happens when you face somebody like me Mercedes? I beat you. I know I can beat you, because I’ve done it before. And while you’ve been coasting along, I’ve only been trying to get better and better, and I know that if I beat you once, and I can do it again. There’s an old saying that one time means nothing. When you can consistently do it, then, you’ve earned something. A lot of people are remembered for doing one thing, famously, or infamously. Where do you fall Mercedes? I’d say you’ve infamously sucked the life out the Roulette title, because it’s becoming irrelevant.

Now I know you’ve come some super cool comic joke you’re going to unleash, maybe you’ll put on a cape, maybe you’ll wear mask. Because the tired material is something we’ve all come to rely on. For you, it might as well be a crutch. Something, somewhere, you’ll pull out and expect it to be mocking me, when you’re really just embarrassing yourself. I’m sure this time will be no different, because you don’t learn as quickly as others have. You’ll trot it out, and expect people to be amused, or maybe even get them mad at you for mocking superheroes. And then it’ll be another 8 months before you mention anything comic related again. I guess that is only for me and Zuri right?

The fact of the matter is, Sunday, you and I are going to face each other, and I’m going to prove that I’m better than you. I know our partners may not be in a fighting mood come Sunday, but you’d better be, because I am, and I’m strongly looking into the Mean Girls as possible suspects in the attack on my friend Misty! And trust me, if I find out that you, or any of them had anything to do with it. I will take it out on all of you. There will be no place that you can go Mercedes.

Oh, yeah, my issues with you will continue past this match, this is just another opportunity to show the world that you, and the rest of the Mean Girls, can be beaten, when you face competition. You aren’t Delia, you’re not Amanda. Be happy you’re not Veronica… because… wow… Anyway, you are simply the second in command. The guy standing behind the bully yelling “yeah, beat up the nerd” That’s you. And I know you’re happy with that, because it means you aren’t the prime target.  But in this match… you certainly are.

I really hope you’re ready Mercedes. Because you’re getting everything I got. See you soon.

Oh… and tell Delia she’s welcome for saving her from Necra 3 months ago….
