 {We open with Roxi and Keira walking up to a home with Thanksgiving items in their hands. Roxi carries a large heated bag with both arms. Keira casually walks with a couple of grocery bags, but Roxi struggles with the large bags.}

Roxi – Why do we have 7 turkeys?

Keira – Because 2 for you and my sisters, and 5 for me!

{Roxi looks at Keira bewildered, but Keira keeps a look as if saying “duh.”}

Roxi – I swear, I have no idea where you put all that food.

Keira – Super metabolism.

Roxi – It must be.

{Keira and Roxi head up the steps, and Keira knocks on the door, and Maria, Keira’s sister answers it. She smiles as Keira hugs her.}

Maria – Glad you two made it.

Keira – We wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Maria – I thought you two were stuck in Denver?

Keira – Nah, travel was a breeze. Just… lucky I guess.

Maria – Good to hear. I know it’s been rough lately with Keri, but, be nice to her when she shows up, huh?

Keira – I’m always nice to her!

{While the two chatter, Roxi has an annoyed look on her face.}

Roxi – Could we?!

{Roxi, still struggling to hold the large bag, finally nudges Keira with it, knocking her out of the way momentarily.}

Keira – What the heck Rox!

Roxi – I’m carrying 100 pounds of turkey here!

{Keira and Maria finally go inside and Roxi follows them in, she is then able to set the bag down and open it. Roxi and Maria put on oven mitts and take out the seven fully cooked turkeys. Keira eyes the turkeys and licks her lips.}

Keira – Dig in!

{Roxi slaps Keira’s hand as she tries to touch a turkey.}

Roxi – It’s not done cooking! You have to let it sit for a few minutes!

Maria – And Keri’s not even here yet!

{Keira rubs her hand and gives Roxi puppy dog eyes in return.}

Keira – But I’m hungry now!

Roxi – You are always hungry! But this is a day to spend with family!

Maria – Roxi’s right Keira, you never come over anymore.

Keira – I’m busy.

Maria – You’re always busy! I just want us to be better now. You still have… that thing?

Keira – No. It’s gone.

Maria – Good. We can finally get to semblance of normal around here.

{Maria looks at Keira and Roxi as they Keira and Roxi look at one another.}

Maria – Well… normal for us.

{The door opens and Keri comes through, a smile on her face.}

Keri – Hey guys!

Maria – Keri! How are you sweetheart?

Keira – Hey.

{Roxi nudges Keira in an effort to make her more sociable. Keira does go over and hug Keri hello. Keri turns back to the door and motions for someone to enter.}

Keri – Guys… this is Tina. She’s my new girlfriend.

{Roxi and the others greet Tina, and they remove their coats and everyone sits down, soon to be joined by Maria’s girlfriend, Jessica. They begin to enjoy dinner, as they two turkeys, and they carve them up and serve them on a big dinner platter. Keira however, has her own platter, and begins wolfing down the turkey without even cutting it. Roxi shakes her head at Keira and the rest of the family enjoys dinner.}

Maria – So… uh, what’s new?

Roxi – It’s been quite the year, marriages and relationships and all that. Keira and I have been through a lot, but, we’re happy to be here, and happy to spend the holiday with you guys. Right Keira?

{Keira can’t talk as her mouth is full of food that she keeps shoveling in. Instead, she raises her fork to acknowledge the rest of them. Roxi faceplams, embarrassed.}

Maria – You don’t have to be like that Roxi, We all grew up with Keira. She’s always been like that.

Roxi – An eating machine?

Maria – Okay… maybe not like that. But still, she can’t really embarrass us, we’re family.

Keri – She did eat a lot as a kid, but she lost all that weight when she started wrestling and stuff.

Roxi – Wait, Keira was fat?

Keri – Oh yeah. Huge!

{Keira gives Keri an evil eye and motions with a fork in a threatening manner.}

Keira – I know where you sleep!

Roxi – Calm down. It’s just family fun.
Keri – Just teasing, no need to get all defensive!

Maria – Well… I am glad to see everyone is healthy and having productive relationships. JB and I are getting married soon!

Roxi – That’s wonderful, so happy for you!

Keri – Yeah, you guys are such a good couple.

Keira – Well… I got the best one!

{Keira stands up and hugs Roxi, almost attempting to show her off to her sisters. Maria and Keri look at each other confused, before shrugging and returning to the food. Keira sits back down, and at this point, her plate is nothing but bones as she starts on her second full turkey.}

Maria – So… Roxi, and Jessica wrestle in the same place?

Roxi – Yes. We do.

Maria – And… have you wrestled each other?

Roxi – We just did actually. And we…both lost. But Jess is my friend, and I was happy to face her.

{Jess smiles as she takes a drink of wine.}

Maria – Wait, you both lost? To who?

Roxi – This guy… Jair. He’s a friend too. It lightened to blow a little bit.

Maria – A guy?
Roxi – Yes…

{Maria seems to be upset at this, before turning to Jess.}

Maria – You didn’t tell me you fought a guy!

{Jess starts to say something, but Roxi tries to keep the peace.}

Roxi – Oh… he’s really good. Jess did fantastic out there.

Maria – That’s not the point, Roxi! I don’t want Jess getting hurt. No men!

{Roxi looks around the room, and finally notices. She clears her throat before turning to Keira who isn’t paying any attention as she finishes her second turkey.}

Roxi – Maria, this no men thing, it’s weird. I mean, we’re having Thanksgiving dinner, and there’s no men here. You know they’re not all bad, right?

{Keri and Maria share a look, and then at their significant others. Maria turns back to Roxi}

Maria – Roxi, we’re doing just fine without men. This is who we are! We don’t need them!

{Keri and Maria and everyone else keep arguing as Keira finally sees this going down as she reaches for the third turkey. She turns and pulls Roxi by the arm.}

Keira – Did you just mention men?

Roxi – I didn’t mean anything by it!

Keira – You can’t do that around Fishers crazy pants!

{Keira whistles and brings everyone to a halt.}

Keria – Okay… let’s get back on track… Roxi didn’t know, just so we’re clear, no mentioning men around the Fishers. You two got it?

{Jessica and Tina nod in approval as they are wide-eyed and confused. Maria and Keri seem to have calmed down, and Keira sits back down and grabs her turkey.}

Keira – Now that that’s settled, let’s enjoy the dinner, huh?

{There’s a few moments of awkward silence at the table, until Maria finally speaks up.}

Maria – So… are you and Jess going to wrestle each other any time soon?

Roxi – We… could. I’m not sure.

Maria – And Jess would totally kick your butt, right?

{Maria winks at Jess and huge her, before giving her a full-on makeout kiss. Keira rolls her eyes and stabs her turkey in disgust.}

Keira – Get a room!

{Maria turns back to Keira.}

Maria – Already have one.

{Keira looks more and more annoyed as she stress a hole through Jessica and Maria.}

Keira – Ugh. Roxi, make out with me!

Roxi – Keira! It’s not a competition! We’re eating dinner!

Keira – It’s a competition now!

Keri – Seriously?

Keira – Seriously!

{Keira tries to kiss Roxi who resists at first, and is actively fighting not to make out with her wife, while Keri just shrugs and stars making out with Tina. Roxi manages to push Keira away and stands up, looking at the make out-fest going on.}

Roxi – Guys! Seriously! Before this turns into an orgy!

{Keira, Maria, and Keri all stop, and turn to Roxi, before giving her a simultaneous “eww”. This… sort of breaks the ice, as dinner conversation becomes less competitive, and friendlier. Eventually, all the turkey is packed up, the leftovers ready as Keria rubs her belly, her five turkeys reduces to nothing but bone. Keira stands up, as the family does the dishes, and then Keira walks over to Roxi and sits on her lap.}

Keira – Think we should get going? We can take all the leftovers.

Roxi – Really? Are they sure?

Maria – We’re all turkey’d out.

Roxi – Oh… well… okay. I guess we can get go –

{The door swings open, and CLAIRE saunters through the door, alone. Roxi and Keira stand up, recognizing the threat, while the others are confused.}

Claire – Did I miss anything? Sorry, travel is pretty crazy right now.

Roxi – Claire…

Claire – Well… aren’t you going to introduce me?

Roxi – This… is… my friend… Claire.

Claire – Childhood friends. It’s been a long time since we caught up. I just… lost track of her. The craziest thing. So… Roxi… who are they?

{Roxi clears her throat as Keira walk in between Claire and the rest of the family.}

Roxi – These…. These are Keira’s sisters, and their… partners.

Claire – Oh.. well.. it’s lovely to meet you. I’m sure that as time goes on, I’ll get to know you really, really well.

{Claire chuckles as Roxi’s eyes dart around the room, and the air of fear is thick in the room. Claire in fact starts sniffing around the room.}

Claire – Smells…. Good. Apple pie? My favorite.

Roxi – W… Would you like some?

Claire – No thanks. I’m trying to cut back. I already feel really fat anyway.

{Claire plops herself down in a chair, casually throwing her arms over her head.}

Claire – So…  What kooky family game are we playing this year? Twister? Pictionary? How about Clue? Oh, wait, wait, I got it… Truth…or Dare.

{Roxi clears her throat and swallows hard, trying to avoid any sort of confrontation.}

Roxi – Claire… it’s… it’s late, these people gotta be heading home and everything. Why don’t you join me for a game?

Claire – But… I’m afraid you might just… leave me all alone. Again.

Roxi – Then… let’s step outside, and talk privately.

Claire – Really? Well then… after you.

{Roxi walks towards the door, and then looks back at Keira, who silently nods. Claire turns back as Roxi exits the house.}

Claire – Don’t go anywhere. I’ll be right back.

{Claire walks outside as Roxi is staring at the armed super-soldiers waiting outside in a van. Roxi grits her teeth as she turns back to Claire’s smiling face. They speak in a whisper.}

Roxi – Leave them alone. Please.

Claire – You don’t get to make demands. With the snap of my fingers, I will kill this entire family, and then you. You can’t save them. You can’t save yourself.

Roxi – You want to fight Claire? Fine. We can fight. But not here. Not now. You meet me at home tomorrow. Then… it’ll be just you… and me.

Claire – Is that right? You’re finally going to fight me? I always thought you would let your wife do your fighting for you.

Roxi – You… and me. Not Keira, and not them.

{Roxi points to the super soldiers.}

Roxi – We can finish this tomorrow. But leave me, and my family in peace. Please. I’m begging you.

Claire – Huh. You call that begging? You will learn to beg before I kill you.

Roxi – Just give me until tomorrow. Leave this place. You’ll get what you want.

{Claire stares at Roxi for a few brief seconds, folding her arms under her chest.}

Claire – Very well. I’m glad to see you want to die with dignity.

Roxi – Just leave them.

{Claire brushes past Roxi, re-entering the house.}

Roxi – You said!

Claire – Sorry girls, I have to be somewhere, I have an important meeting tomorrow, so, unfortunately, I can’t stay.  I’m sure I’ll be back to properly get to know all of you!

{Claire waves before heading back outside the door, and into the van. She rolls the window down as Roxi stares at her.}

Claire – Tomorrow. Where it all began. 8:00pm.

{The van speeds off, as Keira runs outside next to Roxi.}

Keira – What was that?

Roxi – Tomorrow, I’m going to finish this.

Keira – WE are going to finish this.

Roxi – No Keira. I have to. That’s the only way. It’s what we agreed on.

Keira – What?

Roxi – I don’t have you, she doesn’t have the goons. Just her, and me.

Keira – You can’t expect her to play fair!

Roxi – It was the only way to make sure she didn’t hurt anybody in the house. I’m sorry. I had to.

Keira – What… what am I supposed to tell them?

Roxi – That Claire just stopped in. The important part is, none of them were hurt. Come on…. We need to go home…

It’s been a time of change. Things are happening, and finally, I’m coming to terms with the reality of what awaits me. I have to make difficult choices in my life. I don’t have the luxury that others do, because I worry about all of you, and I have your best interests in mind.  It’s my life, I chose it. Sometimes, I have to do things I don’t want to do, in order to get where I need to go. But right now, knowing what awaits me, I’m glad I have time to myself. I’m glad I have time, to actually reflect on things, and exactly what I have to do.

Take for example, SCW. I have to face Necra Octivia Kane this week, that is, if Claire doesn’t kill me. But Claire doesn’t know what I’ve become. I have the element of surprise on my side, and that, and a lot of luck, should help me. I may be hoping against hope here, but Claire is something I know now, that is unavoidable. I was dreading the day, hoping it would never come, but… it did. And now, all I can do is face it.

I know that Necra rounded up her group, the daughters of darkness, to fill the void, left by my failures, and others failures to stop the Mean Girls. That’s kind of what I intended with my speech a while back. Hoping to inspire people to make the right choice, and not become push-overs. To stand and fight, instead of backing down and letting the Mean Girls run us over. It seems my words may have reached Necra and her group. But clearly, they have twisted it into something that isn’t what I wanted.

So, in effect, I’m responisible for the Daughters of Darkness trying to use vigilante tactics an a means to an end. And that, that’s something I’m not going to stand for. It’s now my mess, just like Claire is, and that mean, I have to clean it up. I will do just that on Sunday. I’m going to put an end to the daughters of darkness antics before they become an even bigger problem. I shudder to think what they might do, considering their initial approach failed. They didn’t accomplish anything trying to do what they did, and now I fear they may become more drastic, and violent is this continues.

They have warped my vision of competition, and I have to fix it. I’m sorry to everybody who have been effected. I will make this one right.

Because my war with the Mean Girls, is far, far from over.

{It’s the next day, and Keira and Roxi sit around in an anxious silence. The unrest is overbearing as Roxi paces and Keira just sits staring at her. Roxi stops pacing and looks out the window every so often, but continues to go back to pacing.}

Keira – What time is it?

Roxi – 5:00 pm.

Keira – Three hours? I hate all this waiting.

Roxi – So do I.

Keira – Roxi… what are you going to do?

Roxi – I… I don’t know.

Keira – I don’t like this. You know this is a trap.

Roxi – Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. But it’s something I have to do.

Keira – I should go with you.

Roxi – No. I don’t need an escalation of force out there. She’ll have those goons in her back pocket if you show up.

{Keira shakes her head and sighs, she knows Roxi is right, but as she tries to lean back on the couch, she fidgets and can’t get comfortable. Roxi isn’t feeling all that well either, as she leans against the glass of her balcony. As they overlook the city, wondering what’s in store for them. Keira sits up, tossing a pillow angrily.}

Keira – I don’t like this. I don’t like it at all.

Roxi – Neither do I. It was the only thing I could do Keira.

Keira – I… I don’t want to lose you. I CAN’T lose you.

{Keira stands up and hugs Roxi, as she starts tearing up and crying. Roxi consoles her wife with a hug.}

Roxi – I’ll never leave you. I promise. But right now, I need you to be strong, and I need you, to trust me.

{Keira looks up at her, and kisses her on the lips. They share in the emotion, before Roxi has to pull away.}

Roxi – I’ve got to go.

Keira – Go… go kick her ass!

{Roxi dons her costume, and exits, heading forth 8th and grand.}

{Roxi checks her watch, as it reads 7:59, and she’s already there, at the newly rebuild factory warehouse. She does a 360 check of the area, looking for any surprises. Not finding anything of note, she cautiously enters the warehouse. Claire is patiently waiting for her.}

Claire – So… here we are. You always were punctual.

Roxi – Let’s just get this over with.

Claire – You, you’re not feeling the nostalgia? I thought it would fit. You die, in the same place you left me to die. Ironic, is it not?

Roxi – Insane is more like it. I told you Claire, I tried to save you. You told me to leave! You made me leave. I have never taken anything harder than what happened to you. I was never really over it. I hid it from everyone. I never truly forgave myself. I wanted to bring you back. I wanted to find you!

Claire – And then… you quit on that. You moved on. Life goes on for Roxi Johnson, because I’m out of the picture! You could have come back for me!

Roxi – I tried. They wouldn’t let me near it. I wanted to save you.

Claire – Lies.

Roxi – No! I’m telling you the truth. Why would I not come back for you? You are…. Were my friend! I wanted more than anything in the world for you to be okay!

Claire – You are just trying to avoid me killing you!

Roxi – No! I’m not. Claire, I don’t want to fight you. I don’t want to hurt you. I just want to help you. I’ve always wanted to help you! I don’t know what Peterson told you…

Claire – He told me enough! He told me exactly what happened. And he saved me. He did what you couldn’t! Or… you wouldn’t.

Roxi – Did he tell you that this was all about fighting me? That you killing me will bring you peace? Because it won’t. You killed him, and robbed him of revenge. He wanted to kill me, because I stopped him. I’m sorry about what happened Claire… I really am. I regret it to this very day. That I didn’t prevent all this from happening.

Claire – You… you should. Now… let’s face each other, like pros. You don’t need the mask.

{Roxi reaches up and removes her mask. Tossing it aside, Roxi watches Claire hops down off a crate.}

Roxi – Claire…. I want to get you some help. I want my friend back. I don’t want to do this. This isn’t you. And it doesn’t have to be.

Claire – LOOK AT ME! I’M A MESS BECAUSE OF YOU! I WAITED ALL THIS TIME! I… I can’t stop now!

Roxi – Yes, you can. It doesn’t have to end like this… for either of us.

Claire – ….

Roxi – Claire… come on, let me get you some help….

Claire – You can’t fix me, Roxi. I’m broken. Scarred for life. There is no going back.

Roxi – Then let’s start over.

Claire – N… No. I can’t.

Roxi – Yes… you can. No one is beyond help. Think of it, as me… saving you, I want to make up for that. This is a chance for both of us…. To get closure.

{Claire stops, staring at Roxi with tears in her eyes. Claire shrugs, and the two slowly walk towards each other… and then embrace! Claire hugs Roxi tightly, until Roxi’s eyes widen, and she pulls away, revealing that Claire has stabbed her. Roxi slumps down to her knees, and then Claire pushes a button on the wall, and the soldiers all storm in, guns drawn.}

Claire – You can’t help me Roxi. You can’t. Not anymore.

Roxi – You lied…. To me…

Claire – No. I said, this would be between me, and you… and it is.

{Without warning, Claire reaches into her pocket and produces a pistol and shoots every single soldier in the head. They all drop, as Claire releases the empty magazine, and it falls to the floor.}

Claire – Maybe you are right, maybe Harold was right. I don’t know anymore. If I find out you’re lying to me, I will kill you. I promise. But… until I find out the truth…. I’ll let you live. Consider that, me giving you a chance.

{Claire turns and walks out the warehouse, while Roxi picks herself up, her stab wound healed. She deeply sighs, before walking out herself.}

{Returning home Roxi enters the apartment, where Keira is waiting. She rushes Roxi as soon as the door opens. Keira spots the blood on Roxi’s costume.}

Keira – Jesus! Are you okay?!

Roxi – I’m okay Kiera.

Keira – What about Claire…

Roxi – We were both right. She’s… she’s leaving us alone.

Keira – What do you mean?

Roxi – I have a feeling one day she’ll be back, but until then… she agreed to leave us alone, in her own way. For now… the old ghost, is going to haunt somewhere else…

{Roxi and Keira share an emotional hug as we fade out.}

Necra, I don’t expect you to understand the ways of a superhero. I don’t expect you to understand why I do what I do. But for you to claim anything about me is fake or not in real reality is a little bit of the pot calling the kettle black, wouldn’t you agree?

But really, you want to be a villain, you can be. Sunday, you can be the villain, at this point, they’re lining up to take a shot at me. I’m perfectly okay with that Necra. You want to stand in my way, I’ll show you that vigilante justice isn’t going to help anyone, and that what you want, is purely for selfish reasons. If you want to be the villain, I will take you down like one. Except just inside the ring I have no problem doing that. If you continue to push, you will get pushed back. And I’m not the one to push Necra. Not me, not right now. I just avoided my best friend taking out her vengeance on me, by this much. You think I’m afraid of you now? You think you scare me right now? Hardly.

I have a lot of work to do Necra, and that starts with me, beating you at getting one step closer to finishing the Mean Girls once and for all. You have caused more harm than good with your little group. It’s high time you got stopped before you ruin everything people like Misty and myself have built.

Come Sunday, the Daughters of Darkness will take a blow, they will not recover from.

Delia… pay attention, I’m coming for you next.
