Supercard Archives / Re: EDDIE LYONS v RODRIGO AFONSO - ROULETTE TITLE
« on: April 12, 2024, 11:17:29 PM »
Cambridge, Massachusetts. Wednesday 10th April. (Off-Camera)

Rodrigo had been home a lot since the losses he's been getting in Sin City Wrestling and it was because he was losing focus a bit and most assumed Rodrigo's skateboarding career, but little do people know since Rodrigo doesn't talk about his personal life to any professional wrestler or to anyone not in his or his girlfriend's family and friends that it was because Rodrigo was going to be a father.

With that in mind, he did invite his skateboarding friends over, mostly for them to meet Ella who they hadn't met since they went to Switzerland that day. They were currently over and already approved Ella as they've been at Rodrigo's house for the last few days, going out shopping for baby stuff since Ella was now seven months pregnant. Although there was one question in mind Ella had for Rodrigo's skateboarding buddies as they were all in the living room having a drink, well Ella had some orange juice.

Ella: “How did you all become friends with Rodrigo:”

Jerald: “Honestly, I hated Rodrigo at first because the bastard kept getting high scores at Skateboarding with his tricks, but when I apologised with my jealous behaviour and got to know Rodrigo a bit more, he ended up being a decent guy.”

Darius: “Apart from when he threw a massive fit about losing to that thirteen year old skateboarder in the X-Games a few years ago.”

Ella: “No, Rodrigo would never do that. I've never seen him throw a fit when things aren't going his way.”

Rodrigo was silent as it was mostly for the skateboarders to interact with Ella than the other way around, but at the same time, Rodrigo put his finger up as he put the can of coke down on the table as he didn't want to drink beer due to being a father responsibilities being a thing.

Rodrigo Afonso: “It's true, I did throw a fit when a thirteen year old kid beat me twice in X-Games the pandemic years, but I learned a lot on why I don't throw fits ever again. That's why I don't bitch or complain about anything. It's not going to get anyone anywhere in life.”

Ella: “Well, that's the good thing you learned from your mistakes, although your father said you hate arguments.”

Jerald: “Yeah, he does, trust me. I'm sure it wasn't easy for Rodrigo to lose his rag like he did, but he hasn't done it since and takes losses like a man.”

Ella: “His attitude is making him a real man. Besides, he's doing everything for me, cleaning the house, going food shopping. He does a lot more than you think.”

Rodrigo nods at his skateboarding friends and Ella of them telling the truth of Rodrigo's past life that Ella knew nothing about. Of course, they only started dating for a few months and their relationship has only grown stronger each day. Rodrigo thought about something else that was out of the blue for him, something he wasn't expecting.

Darius: “You saw a ghost again?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I'm in a Roulette title match against Eddie Lyons. What have I done to deserve that match against him, honestly?”

Jerald: “I know you've lost matches, but you put in hard work, you don't moan or complain and you don't trash wrestlers unless you have to. You get in the ring and wrestle.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “SCW staff tell me I should speak on the microphone when I've not got wrestling matches a lot more to promote matches, but the videos I do are more than enough. I don't need to say more than what I've already said. Heck, I hate being interviewed for skateboarding at times, but I do it because I have to. I don't luckily in SCW.”

Ella: “You've fought him before, haven't you?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Things are very different this time, he's beaten Peter Vaughn for the Roulette title, I haven't. I haven't come close on beating Peter.”

Jerald was the kind of guy that makes slight comments about people at times, even was a bit mean to the thirteen year old kid who beat Rodrigo in the X-Games competition for skateboarding. Anyway as he was a tiniest bit drunk, he says this.

Jerald: “Eddie Lyons is one boring fucker. All he talks about is wrestling. Like does the dude have a life besides wrestling?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Hey dude, that's not cool. Eddie and I have respect. Even if he talks only about wrestling, nobody should judge him for that. Besides, he's a Roulette champion. I respect the dude and consider him as my friend. Truthfully, I wish I was facing the other champion who's from the UK.”

Ella: “I know, but that's the situation you got in front of you.”

Darius: “She's right, you know. Even I thought Jerald's comment was out of line, but he didn't know like I didn't you two legit respect each other. I can see his point that having friendly matches isn't thrilling to watch.”

That was the problem with wrestling, there wasn't really many enemies in the business these days and Rodrigo saw that. But he was too fragile and small to be an asshole wrestler. So he had to be a people's fan favourite.

Rodrigo Afonso: “Each time we've wrestled, we have torn the house down, for sure and I know what you mean. But my size and fragile structure on top of being a father to my kid soon prevents me from being an asshole. I don't think it would represent well for my kid. I can't afford that right now.”

Jerald: “Dude, I was just busting your balls, but I do think Eddie is boring as hell. The amount of stuff he talks about is purely wrestling, but at least the Roulette title makes up for the match you both will have.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Wrestling Eddie is not dull, he was my first ever opponent and anything he'll say about me, I'm not going to disagree with him on.”

Rodrigo was already feeling uncomfortable and walks away from the living room as he didn't want to argue with Jerald about his feelings on Eddie anymore. He goes to his room and lets the lads get used to Ella and the pressure of being a Roulette champion and beating Eddie pretty much was on his mind a bit. Ella came into the room and relaxed Rodrigo with his thoughts and forgot about it as the skateboarding lads went to the hotel to get some sleep.

I have no excuses to make Eddie youtube.com shoot (Online)

“I know, I've under performed a lot as of late and I literally have no excuse for slacking off, but the truth is, I don't deserve this title match against you, should be you and Entity for the Roulette title. I literally have zero excuses and you'd be right with everything you'll say to me and I'm not going to disagree with you.

But at the same time, it proves I don't really care what people think and I clearly don't like the thought of responding to everything you say. I mean look how badly I struggled to reply to Carter, I hate that and it's why I prefer to do one video to say everything I have to say. Eddie, you know I respect you and I know you'll tell me the truth on things may seem they are, but there is a reason I won't say as it has nothing to do with wrestling or skateboarding for that matter that my attention isn't with wrestling at the minute.

But I leave things there since I don't want to talk about it. I can't overlook the fact beating Peter Vaughn for the Roulette title was impressive. Everyone has tried and failed, but you succeeded and done it well. I'm sure it's going to motivate you to bring everything out of you to go out and win the match. But while I feel I'm undeserving for this title match, I will bring everything I have out of you.

Why? To prove people like you wrong every single time I step into the ring. A lot of people said I would never make it as a wrestler and I made it by holding a briefcase. I got plans for that and I'm not telling anyone, not even you what I'll do with it. You may have been successful with the Roulette title. I know it's cliché to say this, but I can break your title run in half even after underperforming.

Just because a wrestler underperforms, it doesn't mean you'll have this win in the bag, despite you being a threat because of the fantastic win you gotten over Peter. I couldn't find a way to beat him, but you did somehow. Maybe it's because you have the support of your wrestling school and family. I had to go all the way to the United Kingdom to do wrestling training because there's no wrestling schools in Portugal.

Many Americans, Canadians, Australian, British and a German wrestler have won this title, but there's not a single Portuguese wrestler that has won the Roulette title. I don't recall a Portuguese wrestler winning a wrestling title full stop because it's rare anyone from my country that breaks into the wrestling business. That's the big thing that we're different on.

But I got a chance to prove to my country and United States as a whole that I can become champion without wrestling school family supporting me. The only support I have when I go to wrestle in that ring is myself. I go into wrestling you on my own with dignity and do everything I can to upset you and win the belt because that's a big thing you've done and I haven't. I have a briefcase, but I do it when the time is right and when I'm ready.

Maybe beating you for that title will prove I'm ready to be a champion, maybe beating you will lead me to facing someone on the roster I've always wanted to face, but your in the way of that. Beating Peter is impressive and I can't speak that enough, but I've done way more Roulette matches than you and that will be the factor of me winning this match, bringing everything I have into the match to defeat you. That's all I say because I hate talking lengthy to someone I have respect for and being the only guy on the roster so far I can consider being friends with.”

Climax Control Archives / Just a video again about Peter Vaughn

OOC: I'm really sorry, but I had no idea that I was booked again until I looked at the card today, giving me zero preparation for a CD scene and I was sick as a horse last Friday. But I do have plans for Rodrigo and simply doing this RP to make up for last week. Apologies for this rubbish RP.

-------------------------

Speaking about Peter Vaughn YouTube video.

"Yeah, you would be right you've beaten me multiple times Peter, I don't have an argument against this and I won't be a dick about it like some people are with you. I admit, I did cross the line about the whole expiry date thing, but I had to say something to elevate myself to be the match winner. Of course, it never happened, but everyone said things that aren't entirely true, even you, Peter, when I gave you the ultimate test, and I thought facing you in a roulette title match was too early for me, far too early, but I gave what I got given.

I lost to two great wrestlers, even though Entity is a disrespectful pig and Ben Jordan, but I'm not ashamed of that, honestly, because it made me better as a wrestler. I hate doing videos for matches because whatever you say means nothing when you get in the ring. Even promoting videos for matches is silly enough because I don't need to talk about the Roulette title accomplishments you've had; I've done that, and I've already done calling you a threat which you still are.

I know, I've lost, but as I said, losing matches makes you better and you learn a lot. What do you learn by winning a ton of matches? That you are the top wrestler? Maybe, but you learn nothing in those wins. Nobody is going to be the best wrestler in the world. I find that term completely untrue and pretty much stupid. You can be the top wrestler of this company and in wrestling world, but best is not true because if we were the best, we'd all have undefeated streaks.

You can pretend to be the best, but it's unrealistic. I know what my plans are for the briefcase which I haven't forgotten about it, I got plans and I aim to cash it in when I feel I've deserved it and when I'm ready. Right now with my results, I'm not. But no champion, especially one I got my eye on in particular will see it coming. I'm not saying his name right now, but I'm not giving secrets away.

But the point is I need to get up the pole and you talk awfully too much Peter. All you need is one video to say everything, not multiple to make a point. That's one thing I suggest is talk less. Yes, Eddie winning is fantastic and I'm proud of the guy, a guy I gave a ton of respect for and I still do. But you do remember when I said you're a future world champion? I believe in that.

But you got to go through me and you can claim you'll win all you want, but it won't happen because unlike you, I need a win more than you do. You've already got wins in the bag, even without the Roulette title, but I believe you'll be world champion and I'll be whatever champion I want to be. This match is going to be the time where Rodrigo will perform so much better than he did against Ben. I will bring everything as always and find a way to defeat you. That's all I will say because I don't have much defense for my losses. I don't, but I go in to win.

Climax Control Archives / A guy that scares me, but can win against.
« on: March 08, 2024, 10:58:21 PM »
Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Thursday 7th March. (Off-Camera)

It's been a while since Rodrigo Afonso had been seen in both skateboarding and wrestling scene, but today, he's in Dubai for the last time to qualify for the Olympics. Now granted, he's won more than enough, but he needed to keep showing up and the more he does, the more chances he'll qualify for the Olympics in the summer. It had been a while since Rodrigo had met his skateboarding buddies who were also qualifying for the Olympics as well. His friends Darius and Jerald were here. He also met a new friend as of late he became close to as well, Steven.

Of course, there wasn't much they could do in Dubai as the laws in the country were very strict and had to abide by a lot of things, one of them was him unable to bring his girlfriend, Ella over because they weren't married and couldn't make love if they weren't married. Of course the lads don't really know about that and Darius was the first to ask.

Darius: “Hey, where's your girlfriend you met in Switzerland?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I couldn't bring her here as the laws are extremely strict here. You can't make love to a woman in public unless you're married to them. Also, there were clothes laws that Ella did not like at all so that's why she didn't come.”

Jerald: “But we want to see her bro.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I promise, I will bring her to China with me as there's no laws about what she was against there, unlike here.”

Steven: “Yeah I totally get that. I feel like we can't really do very much here after the competition, like we have to go straight back to the hotel because you're so restricted to what you can do here.”

That was the only thing being an issue was everything was not tourist friendly. Of course, they've done everything they could in Dubai for a few days of quad biking in the desert and going to visit towers. There wasn't that much to do as Rodrigo knowing he brought his Fire TV stick, something he wouldn't be able to do in China due to licencing restrictions said this.

Rodrigo Afonso: “Hey, lets go to my hotel room and watch a movie.”

Darius: “Maybe watch The Wrestler since it's all about you, sort of after all.”

Steven: “I think Rodrigo was a bit more richer than Mickey.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “It has bits of my life in it. But we can totally watch that.”

As they weren't allowed to skate after certain hours and they've finished up the competition for the day as Rodrigo was on top with some guy from Japan in second and an young American in third. So they picked their skateboards up and headed back to Rodrigo's apartment. In a way, Rodrigo sighs a lot about the idea of Steven, Darius and Jerald wanting to meet Ella. They luckily reached to the hotel and got in the lift to go into Rodrigo's room as Rodrigo sat down as Jerald puts the TV on.

Rodrigo Afonso: “I know, I want you guys to meet Ella, I really do.”

Jerald: “Hey, we're meeting her in China, don't worry about it.”

Darius: “Yeah, it's not like you haven't wanted to introduced Ella to us, you've been busy with something far more important.”

Steven: “Yeah, having a kid man, so cool. You know the gender and all that yet?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “No, I'm keeping it as a surprise.”

While the others were getting the TV set up to watch The Wrestler movie, he got a text from SCW bosses to state he was wrestling this week, against a guy wearing a mask they showed Rodrigo a picture off and there was all of a sudden a shake from Rodrigo. Because although it was somebody new that can give him competition, Rodrigo's seen what the guy can do.

Jerald: “What's wrong man? You look like you've seen a ghost, despite you winning the skateboarding competition with this fine trophy you won.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “That's because I have seen a ghost.”

He shows the picture of what he was talking about, a picture of a big guy in a mask that fought James on the Supershow last time out and the guys nodded and saw it was a threat for Rodrigo as he couldn't really do much with the guy and they didn't know his name.

Darius: “I don't know what to say to that bro. Doesn't seem like you have any chance to win at all.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “The problem is I can't allow him to think that with me. It puts me at a massive disadvantage, for sure. However, I got to be positive about facing him because that's the way forward and that's how a wrestler mentality should be. I can't react to every single bad comment or opponent that has many advantages over me, they'd win that way.”

Steven: “That is true actually and I feel that whole skateboarding incident affected you to change a lot about how you react about wrestling and skateboarding as a whole.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Although I rather not be reminded what a brat I was as a fifteen year old when I lost a skateboarding competition, it also helps me why I don't moan or complain about anything because it made me stronger and learn from my mistakes. Believe me, there are a lot of wrestlers who act like this. Moan and bitch about losses.”

Although Rodrigo did have a bit of complaint in private about wanting more competition, it wasn't in a way that was insulting the business or insulting to go for titles as Rodrigo didn't see that as a benefit, but it was a different story to those who wanted to be in title matches for the sake of it of them not earning it.

Jerald: “What about you relax and watch this movie with us? Maybe it'll help you with this big masked dude you're facing against. Yeah those moaners and complainers shouldn't be in the business.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Agreed as it won't get you anywhere in the wrestling business or skateboarding business as I discovered. Anyway, we'll watch this movie just to relax a night in my hotel room before I call Ella later tonight before I head off to sleep.”

Darius: “She's six months pregnant now, right?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Yep. Damn, just realised, I may not be able to get you to see her in China after all. Maybe you guys can come round my house in America next week or in a few weeks to see her. I live in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Ella lives there with me now because of the baby arrival.”

Steven: “Good plan. You're so grown up at nineteen man. Respect to you.”

Rodrigo nodded as they started the movie to watch The Wrestler and although it was a movie very well known, they were right that Rodrigo could learn tips how to beat a wrestler bigger than him, much larger than him on top of brutal words he knows Entity will say to him which was something he hadn't experienced since Bill Barnhart and that was a few weeks ago. They enjoyed the movie they watched together with Rodrigo learning a few things from the movie and they, but Rodrigo leave his room, chats with Ella and then goes off to sleep. He flies to Santa Barbara, California the next day.

Big masked dude can't give me pain youtube.com shoot. (On-Camera)

“I got to be honest, the dude kind of terrifies me a bit with his size and how brutal he attacked J2H in the ring. Can't say much more than that, but do you honestly think dude you're going to get anywhere by jump shot yourself to attack J2H without doing anything to deserve the match? You never deserved to face the level of talent of J2H, despite brutally attacking him for no reason.

Also, bringing a man's family into your trash talking that's the lowest of the low since they can't defend themselves, trashing his kid like that, beyond the word scum, really. I respect J2H more than I do with you currently. At least J2H is a living, breathing legend. You, you can't be bothered to put in the hard work to prove yourself against talent you should've fought in your debut.

I think you're a hypocrite honestly, saying to J2H about him refusing to respect and view wrestlers as a threat. I feel the same way with you Entity because you haven't viewed J2H a single threat and I bet you'll say things like I'm not the level of J2H. Nobody is because J2H is a different wrestler to me and to everyone on this roster and you have to be pretty stupid to say something like that.

What's so special about you Entity? What are your purpose for being here other than viewing me and everyone else you face as kindergarten-level talent? What makes you a wrestler that will be successful? Trust me, you will end up having losses and failing to deliver. Have I lost matches? Damn right I have, but I don't let them affect me because they help me improve every time in the ring. You don't understand this.

So sure, you can throw me around like a ragdoll and put out lengthy poem or rap videos to talk about your opponent, but apart from a tie with J2H, you haven't done anything as of yet to be successful. Taking J2H out is what other wrestlers have done before. Also, J2H wasn't selfish to vacate the title, he didn't as you say bury talent, he made talent better for it, something your brain would never understand.

Then again, you don't act like you'll ever become a champion the attitude you have that shows no respect to J2H and won't with me because I haven't beaten a big star. You haven't either, a tie doesn't count. I feel quite honestly, you're a piece of crap as I don't use swear words. But then again, I'm going to defeat you because if you saw what I did with Bill, I use submissions, to knock your giant ass down to the ring. You are a threat after the match with J2H yes, but there's nothing special about you other than a tie against him and it wasn't a win you want, was it?

I will make you tap out because none of your nonsense will be relevant when I win. I don't talk much like you that's meant to be a mystery, but you're not and you'll see what I'm about when I knock you down and make you tap out. I won't talk much to you because I made my points short to the point, something you should consider to make your points short instead of a drawn out poem or rap video you did with J2H.”

No beef talk youtube.com shoot (On-Camera)

"I'm not a big fan of doing response promos so I won't respond as much. If only we get in the ring and wrestle to show, not tell respect. Sadly I say this.

I hear you talk about hardcore wrestling isn't your thing. Fair enough, but it isn't wrestling? I want to ask you this, if you won't do hardcore wrestling, how are you going to evolve as a wrestler.

I understand your opinions, but understand I did ladders and weapon matches because I was thrown into them. But being in hardcore matches made me a better wrestler too. I learned a lot from Peter from doing them.

I do admire as you say many times about your SCU accomplishments and it's cool you've captured all the titles here. Granted, I'm the last person to talk about losses and hard ones you've had.

Have you thought of entering in the Blast For The Past Tournament? I suggest you could since you can go to win the entire tournament and win the whole thing. Anyway, good luck and may the top wrestler win as I don't believe in the terms best.

Cambridge, Massachusetts. Friday 2nd February. (Off-Camera)

Rodrigo and Ella had only recently flown back to the United States from Switzerland after moving more of Ella's stuff to Rodrigo's new home. Both Ella's and Rodrigo's parents have seen Rodrigo's new America home because they invited their families to come over and brought Rodrigo's and Ella's stuff over. It had been a busy household lately with their parents coming back and forth ever since they discovered they were going to be grandparents to Rodrigo's and Ella's baby.

However while it was all going well and good for them, Rodrigo did need to talk to the one guy who had been guiding Rodrigo's wrestling career, a guy who he hadn't spoken to in a few months now because of him being focused about the baby, Lee Baker. He hadn't told him about the Golden Briefcase he won.

As Ella was sleeping because she was five months pregnant at this point and had been feeling sick a lot. Been a struggle for her during the pregnancy and Rodrigo had been doing all the work in the home, as much as he could to make things comfortable for Ella. He picks the home phone up, remembering to dial the international code for UK. He waits for the call to be picked up and it does.

Man on phone: “Hello?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Hello Lee, it's me, Rodrigo Afonso.”

Lee Baker: “Rodrigo, I'm so glad to hear from you. Been a long time we last spoke, although understandable with your girlfriend being five months pregnant, I think.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Yes, you're correct.”

Although it was at this point they'd know the gender, but they want it to be a surprise so of course, Rodrigo, nor Ella know the gender of their baby, not even their parents know of it either. Although Lee goes straight into the discussion of wrestling.

Lee Baker: “So, you're Golden Briefcase guy now, huh?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I was going to talk about that funny enough to you. I guess you've been watching the Sin City Wrestling shows.”

Lee Baker: “Damn right, I am. We're so very proud of you in Bulldog Wrestling Academy. I think we got the boys and girls to watch the match in front of a TV screen via internet connection that night to see if you'll clinch the briefcase. That's got to be the proudest moment ever. I've poured tears because I was so happy for you.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I think it's crazy to go from a massive losing streak to be the Golden Briefcase guy at nineteen funny enough too.”

Rodrigo still was in shock to be in that wrestling match, let alone winning the briefcase. Although he hadn't really bragged about it because his focus was on Ella and the baby more than the briefcase. Well, he knows he has to go to middle east at some point the end of this month for last set of Olympic qualifiers.

Lee Baker: “Indeed. So you're happy as gold right now, right?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Um no, not entirely. While it's great I've been winning matches, but there's one problem. I don't know how to tell SCW bosses I'm getting tired of facing the same people I fought at Supershow. It seems match after match, I'm facing Justin, Matty and Bill. I'm getting a little frustrated to say the last.”

Lee Baker: “I'm sure SCW bosses realise this. I do understand that facing the same people is boring, but you have to understand, there's not many male wrestlers on the roster at the moment and some of them were in the tournament. That's something to keep in mind.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I know, but being I'm the Golden Briefcase holder, I don't feel I'm being tested enough. I respect Justin, Bill and Matty, but I want different competition, wrestlers that are above me so I can improve and become a better wrestler.”

That was a thing that was frustrating Rodrigo and he didn't want to come across as a complainer to Sin City Wrestling staff after the hard work they've done to put Rodrigo in matches and for him to win the briefcase. That was always Rodrigo's worry since he remembered how he reacted to losing a skateboarding competition in two thousand and twenty one.

Lee Baker: “It's best to do it backstage without it being on the show obviously like having a private meeting with the bosses to ask to face top competition of wrestlers. There's nothing wrong with having demands like that. The only time it would be a problem is if it's a title shot you want.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Oh god no, I don't need to demand a title shot, do I?”

Lee Baker: “Oh no, of course not. But it's something you don't ask the staff about ever. But things like wanting to face different competition, that's not an issue. If you ask, you could be facing someone you never wrestled before.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Sorry, it's just I keep remembering about that skateboarding thing you know.”

Rodrigo went to get himself some orange juice at this point as he had to be healthy, but at the same time, finding something fruity and surgery too to keep his energy up since he was only nineteen after all. He came back and waited for Lee's response to drink some orange juice.

Lee Baker: “Dude, you don't need to worry about that mistake you made. It's not complaining as such if you ask to face someone different. I guarantee you, you'd gain a lot more respect if you kept it behind closed doors than out live on the shows like some people do. Anyway, I got to go, got some issues to tackle at the school. I chat more to you soon and congrats on the briefcase.”

The phone suddenly went dead as sometimes, there was issues at the wrestling school with wrestlers having tassels with each other than the building and money issues. It was good timing as Rodrigo saw Ella was up and came downstairs with Rodrigo assisting her and spending time with her through the entire day, wondering if what Lee said would benefit his career. He'll see if it pans out for him on Sunday.

Love facing new opponents that will up my game to be a better wrestler part one youtube.com shoot.

“I got to say, I've never been a big fan of doing two videos for a match because I'm more of one promo and done kind of dude. Also not a fan of talking as I've mentioned, but yeah it's true. I have been demanding privately to the Sin City Wrestling staff, despite how sceptical I am on doing things like that because I don't want to come across as a whiner or complainer. But it's one of those things I had to request on wanting to face opponents I've never fought before and wanting to improve my wrestling skills. I asked on Climax Control in private and it seems to pan out. Facing against a guy who has been heavily trashed for far too long in his career which I don't agree with, Helluva Bottom Carter.

The guy has been impressive from the get go from what I've researched about him and seems such a credible wrestler. The fact he and Miles, my dream opponent I want to face someday since the wrestling school talk all about Miles are together is commendable. I don't think I'd have the guts to date female wrestlers in honestly because of the gossip talk you get and can destroy wrestling careers. I don't agree the names people call you and Miles for the relationship. I consider I respect you both being together.

But I'm not doing a video all about that since I know about your wrestling skills and you have been incredibly unlucky to not get yourself title wins yet, but you have beaten big names like Goth, something I haven't been able to do and share the same loss with me on Peter Vaughn. I understand the fact you don't want to face Miles because of the relationship pressure. I can't imagine how difficult that must be. In part, you're happy for Miles, but at the same time, you want to capture title of your own as well.

Such a shame you both can't team together for tag titles as it's mixed. Still it must be hard out there to not be able to be a champion because you are a championship calibre wrestler. I know you'll point out I've lost to Goth and you beat him. I accept that, but take this into an account. I'm still vertically a rookie to the wrestling business. I never wrestled anywhere, but Sin City Wrestling.

I might look strange with the face paint, but it's to cover up the burn I had when I was eight years old because my face got burned in the fire and I almost died in the fire due to choking in the flames, but fireman got me out just in time. So if there's one thing I fear in life and would never do wrestling wise, is fire type matches. Just simply because I most likely wouldn't survive to be honest of having another set of burns to me.

I know I've done more hardcore matches than anything else, but to be honest, it's not like I demanded to be in them. I just get told to do those matches and I do it without complaining because that never gets me anywhere. I know you might feel I've complained to get the match with you, but I just want to test my skills out on a winning streak I'm on. I want to get better and that's partly why I've not cashed in the briefcase yet.

I've only been in SCW for seven months and I've captured the briefcase as a rookie, that's more than what most rookies have done in their careers. Facing you is more than an honour. I'm looking forward to facing a fresh face and prove my worth to put all of my skills to the test to facing an amazing wrestler who has the same skills set as I do, but the difference is I have submissions attached to me as well.

Simply because I came from a wrestling school in England and over there, they are all about technical wrestling and so, if there's an opponent bigger than me, which in most cases they are, I use submissions to beat them as Bill has experienced twice with me and I continue to with any opponent who are much bigger than me. I could, at times, use it to wrestlers the same height and weight as me or close to it, but I chose not to.

But no matter what happens, Carter, I respect you, and we'll totally tear the house down. It's refreshing that I have new material to talk about opponents for a change, and I'm happy not to trash you because there's nothing bad I can say about you. We'll talk more next week.”

Lausanne, Switzerland. Monday 25th December. (Off-Camera)

It's been a busy few months for Rodrigo and Ella since their discovery of their future, happening in front of their eyes. However, it was Christmas morning and everyone, including Rodrigo and Ella were opening presents. They were at Ella's home with her family, but Rodrigo invited his family over as well. Mainly because it was known to the family the past few weeks that Rodrigo and Ella were in a relationship, same with Ella's parents too, especially Ella's parents, noticing of Ella moving out from her parents home. Although she had two older sisters around their family.

But what they didn't know is the news that Rodrigo and Ella were about to tell both of their families and wanted to save the news until Christmas Day. Especially with the presents they were holding in their hands to give to their family members. Everything, but two presents from Ella and Rodrigo were opened.

Ella: “The reason we wanted to save these presents until last is because we have got a surprise for you.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Now, you all know we're together as boyfriend and girlfriend romantic relationship and you all are wondering why Ella and myself are moving things around. Please, open them and gather yourselves afterwards. We'll be upstairs in Ella's room when you families are ready to talk to us. Let's go Ella.”

Ella and Rodrigo gave their parents the presents that would unveil something going on in their lives, but they aren't to open them, until after Ella and Rodrigo left the living room and having Ella's bedroom door closed. Rodrigo and Ella held hands and hugged each other in case things turn bad for the pair of them.

Ella: “I hope our families can accept the situation we're going through.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I think it's more your parents as I did something to you after all that could affect you and your career for life.”

Ella: “But you know I love you for it. I wanted a baby, that's for sure, but not this soon.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “God knows how they are reacting as we speak. That's why it's best to give them some breathing room to gather the information up before speaking to us about it. I have a feeling things are going to go bad between your dad and me.”

Rodrigo was already thinking the worst and knowing Ella's dad would be pissed off at him for not using any form of protection. They are holding each other's hands until they heard chattering amongst themselves of the discovery of what's really going on. Took them a while obviously until they are ready to speak to Rodrigo and Ella. Ella's dad obviously wasn't happy as Rodrigo expected.

Ella's dad: “What the fuck's wrong with you, Rodrigo, getting my daughter pregnant. What were you thinking?”

Ella: “Dad, please, it's just as my responsibility as it is his.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Sir, I'm willing to take care of the baby because I have to in a situation that I and Ella got ourselves in. Look, I was drunk that night, being a dumbass.”

Rodrigo's father: “Don't talk to our son like that. He just said it, he was drunk. The fact he's actually taking care of Ella and wanting to be responsible for his mistake is being a grown up. You're lucky my son is sensible enough not leaving his pregnant girlfriend.”

Ella's mum: “It's a little overwhelming that you wanted to announce this on Christmas Day, but I'm thrilled about Ella and Rodrigo having a baby, more so on Rodrigo being responsible for it as a nineteen year old kid.”

Rodrigo sighed and he says this.

Rodrigo Afonso: “I just go and walk in the streets by myself.”

Ella's dad really crushed him for his brutal words said about Rodrigo, especially he didn't feel he was accepting about Ella being a grown woman and having a baby in their life and it did explain why now, they were going to live together in America.

Rodrigo's mum: “Please don't leave Rodrigo. Me and your father are overjoyed as well about the news.”

Ella's dad: “I'm not because you both are too young to be having babies. You both fucked things up and will regret the decision for the rest of your lives.”

Rodrigo's dad: “Listen pal, Rodrigo and Ella may have made a mistake of not using protection, but did you ignore the fact that Rodrigo said he'll take care of the baby?”

Ella: “He's been at every single one of my hospital appointments in America, dad. He has cooked, cleaned and doing a lot for me. I don't think I'm doing anything to give back to Rodrigo honestly because he's a young kid, sure, but the fact is he seems to be more responsible than you are, dad.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Well I'm off for a walk. I've already tried convincing I'm going to take care of Ella and be there every step of the way of her pregnancy. I wouldn't dare to treat her like a piece of garbage, like many men my age have.”

Rodrigo decided to leave the bedroom and the house to go for a walk and let the family argue about the situation. Rodrigo was willing to give himself some fresh air because he hates arguments and dealing with them. He went for a long walk and both parents of Ella's and Rodrigo notices he's gone, despite the snow in Switzerland.

Ella: “See what you made him do, dad? Making him leave the house, I can't believe you'd treat him like a piece of trash after everything I've said he's done for me.”

Rodrigo's dad: “I know it's shocking sir about these two having a baby, but Rodrigo is the kind of guy that would be there for your daughter. He left the house because he feels guilty what he did when we really shouldn't threaten him, not because he doesn't want to be there for Ella. He hates arguments. We've disciplined him a lot when he got into trouble and he learned from it.”

Rodrigo's mum: “We'd love to get to know you Ella and we'd be happy to come to America and help you and Rodrigo with the baby.”

Things were silent for a bit after that, especially Ella's dad felt he was way too harsh on Rodrigo, to trash him the way he did, especially Ella's mum backing up Rodrigo and Ella. Ella's mum added her own input to the situation.

Ella's mum: “We love that your son is taking full responsibility for the baby and Ella. It seems he really is taking good care of you Ella, doing everything for you. We understand now why you're moving your things out of this house. It's a very grown up thing for you and Rodrigo to do, planning a future together. Thi..........”

Ella: “Don't worry, Rodrigo has four spare bedrooms in our home our baby can use so don't need to worry about space. There will be space for you all to come and stay as well. Rodrigo said he's wrestling and skateboarding for the money sure, but at the same time, he enjoys doing both sports, but he's doing it for me and the baby.”

Rodrigo's mum: “Yeah, Rodrigo said he was moving out because he had to wrestle more in America at the time so that I do believe, but never seen his house since he brought it. He wants to involve you and the baby in his life. Come on dude, what's the issue?”

Ella's dad had to scratch his head really hard because he knew he was responsible for Rodrigo leaving the house to take a lot of crap and he sighed, knowing what Rodrigo's parents said was the truth.

Ella's dad: “Excuse me for overreacting there. I guess I should've listened to Rodrigo and because of me, he's left the house. I didn't realise he's doing a lot for you Ella. We're proud your son is doing a lot of work for my daughter. I guess I was just in shock. I hope Rodrigo will be back so I can apologise to the guy.”

Rodrigo's dad: “You were really harsh. But he's always done this of leaving the house to go for a walk when we argued because he hates arguments. Especially that time when he threw a temper tantrum as a sixteen year old kid when he lost a skateboarding competition. He has learned from his mistakes since then not to do it again and hated arguments since. He also hates fire.”

Ella: “I know, Rodrigo told me he fears fire as well hating it because of the burns on his face. He takes a lot of risks to get himself where he is in wrestling and skateboarding world and he's certainly taking a lot of risks to take care of me and the baby. Although he reminds me to do short exercises.”

Ella's mum: “I'm assuming you and Rodrigo are taking parenting classes.”

Ella: “Yes we are both online and in person. Rodrigo was very insisting on that. He's nineteen and he's already acting more of an adult.”

Rodrigo came back into the room and Ella's dad sent him out of the bedroom and went to the kitchen to close doors to talk. He looked at him while Ella and Rodrigo's parents talked to each other, Ella's mum also came down to make sure things were going fine.

Ella's dad: “I didn't realise you done so much for Ella already. The fact your committed to being a dad and supporting my daughter all the way has gained me respect kid. You don't act nineteen at all. I apologise for trashing you like that. It just was a shock and anger comes first to me on reacting big news like that.”

Ella's mum: “We'd be honoured to come to your house in America and see the baby. It also explains why our daughter tells us she's moving house.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I had every intention of being committed to being a father to the baby. I'd throw myself in the river if I ended up being a regular nineteen year old kid not giving a damn about the baby.”

Things were much more calmer now and it seemed everyone was going to accept they were going to be grandparents and hugged Rodrigo to give them a Christmas bombshell. Ella's dad patted Rodrigo on his back as accepting of Ella and Rodrigo's life along with their own changing from their eyes.

Ella's dad: “To be honest, this is a great present you and Ella gave us, telling us we're going to be grandparents and you both having a baby. What a massive bombshell.”

Ella's mum: “Best Christmas present I've ever heard. Congratulations to you and Ella. I have great faith you both be great parents to the baby and be the responsible parents that you take full responsibility for your mistake. We understand, you're a young kid, but you sure as hell act like a thirty year old man from your actions.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Yeah and then add onto winning the Golden Briefcase match against more experienced wrestlers certainly boost things into the picture as well.”

Ella's dad: “Man, to think you started wrestling at eighteen and then winning the Golden Briefcase a few months later, massive progress in wrestling. We're aware of your family being Olympic champions. I believe you did a good thing, continuing the family legacy of being Olympic champion, despite you doing it in skateboarding world.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I got to go to middle east to do one more qualifying for the Olympics before doing the skateboarding competition. But no matter what happens, I will be there for the birth of the baby. I promised Ella that I'll be there for her in the birthing room. Now let's celebrate Christmas now we've tackled the issue.”

Ella's dad: “I agree.”

We all went back to the living room and Rodrigo got to know Ella's parents a bit more as they had never met each other before, same with Ella and Rodrigo's parents. Discussing about the future with the baby and even about marriage, although their focus was on the baby and Ella moving to live with Rodrigo in America and spent all Christmas and New Year as a family before flying back to America to sort things out for the baby and taking more parenting classes.

-----------------------------------

Going round in circles once again is not enjoyable, but something I have to accept youtube.com shoot. (On-Camera)

“Here's where Rodrigo Afonso has to be brutally honest again. God, I hate myself when I have to trash my opponents, especially ones I've beaten one on one before and recently beaten them in the Golden Briefcase match, but I'm not going to complain as it's not my decision to make on the matches. But you have done the one thing I've failed to do in my career Bill, beating Eddie Lyons. But I do think he had an off day when he wrestled you, but you took full advantage of that so good for you.

But all this about weight and height differences of opponents you always claim, it's the same old story with you Bill. You never seem to vary your material. Always talk about that, always talk about Chris Shipman who has no relevance to SCW anymore and it seems those are the only things you care about, asides from your wife of course and your dog. Nothing else about you is interesting at all. Am I taking you seriously after that win you got over Eddie, something I've not done? Yes, but if you actually focused on reading or listening to what people write or say on videos and pick apart of their material instead of their last names or nicknames rubbish, maybe then we'd see some progress with you. But you haven't. Also I find you the most hypocritical wrestler in Sin City Wrestling history. Saying how you never want to cause violence and hurt wrestlers, yet, you'll happily claim that you've taken part in a lot of violent and brutal matches.

Dude, you can't seem to decide what kind of wrestler you want to be and that's bad news. I don't care if I do violent wrestling or not, I'd be happy on the opportunities I've had and I won't be a wrestler that demands a title shot. Oh wait, I don't need to because I won a briefcase, something I've not bragged about because I don't need to.

It's good and all you've beaten Justin Smith and Eddie Lyons, but I know your game way too well and you never ever speak about opponents alone, without Bea by your side. I don't think you've ever spoken to anyone else, besides Bea. I admit, I don't have any relationships with wrestlers, but I respect the hell out of Eddie and because you mocked him with his nickname, you angered me to another level.

Sure, Eddie's lost some matches, but he's not broken at all and he's unbreakable with his wrestling skills. What makes you a bulldog, Bill? Because you certainly don't act like a bulldog, well maybe you are if you continuing to wrestle, despite the losses you've gotten, regardless of having no set goals for yourself in SCW. But I'm still waiting to know what you doing in SCW? What do you hope to achieve because it sure isn't winning titles.

So you showed many cars broken up in pieces, but you know what I've been watching during the Christmas period? UK racing where cars look like they were broken up, but somehow, the drivers bring them back to life and actually won right hand turn racing in those cars. It's amazing how wrong you are about that because you don't do your research as per usual.

Also I know it's a standard match and I know Bea doesn't interfere in matches, speak the obvious, don't you Bill? But the funny thing is you have cheated to win matches before, plenty of times, only another sign of you being hypocritical to tell people you won't cheat to win matches, yet you have All well and good saying you won't do it for particular matches, but who believes you at this point?

I might be a rookie to wrestling business still, but I've done more in six months I've been here, despite the losses than you have. You've won Roulette and mixed tag titles and beaten Eddie, but that's all you've done that I've not done yet. Early days for me, but I'm reaching potential and it would make you look bad if your winning streak comes to an end by a motivated rookie, guys that should have their eyes on me with the golden briefcase I can cash in at anytime.

But I'm going to be better than falling into your typical trashing people's names game you always do. If you're confident in your wrestling skills Bill, you wouldn't need Bea talking about your opponents for you and address the opponents yourself, nor would you have her be your manager at ringside. I don't have a manager and I'm a rookie.

Remember you tried the whole height and weight advantage talk you did on me and it failed big time on you? If you try that again, the same results will happen of me making you submit. I use submissions because to take bigger wrestlers out. That's what will happen because I've defeated you once, I can defeat you in the ring again and this time, I have all the skills underneath me I learned from the top wrestlers here.

I'll go onto greater things and finally cashing in on an opponent I've always wanted to face since I got here. You will slip farther back and wonder how you can defeat a guy smaller and less experienced of a wrestler than you motive again. That's all I have to say before I end up repeating myself since you bore me with your videos with your lack to attention detail about opponents and then you go and say opponents got lucky when they were better than you on that day. That's what will happen tomorrow night. End of story.”

Climax Control Archives / Just a respectful video to Matty.
« on: January 12, 2024, 10:19:41 PM »
This is just a respectful video for Matty YouTube shoot.

"I haven't got much to say to my opponent, honestly, considering we respect each other, although I understand the purpose for this match, being that we were in the Golden Briefcase match and never fought each other before. It's going to be a short, brief video since I have absolutely nothing negative to say to Matty Mallow. He had a better starting career than I did with his undefeated streak. I know he may want to get that win back from me, but he knows the top guy won the match.

Sorry to break it to you all on wanting something special, but there's nothing to say to be honest other than us having a great match and see who the top wrestler is. I never believe in the term best because nobody is the best wrestler in the world. I may have won the Golden Briefcase and I know who I will cash it to. I'm going out there and win this match.

I do want to address something SCW staff privately told me, not appearing on camera to talk. I'm not that kind of guy, I never know what to say that will get everyone interested. I'm not going on camera and show off my achievements of the briefcase, that's arrogance. Am I proud of winning it? Yes I am, but I'm not intending of bragging about it.

I don't think you need to appear on camera for every show at all personally because for me, I'm not comfortable standing in front of a camera and talk about me and my opponents. I struggle enough with this currently. Mostly because there's nothing Matty said I disagree with. I already stated my comments about him being a threat and being a talented wrestler. I'm not changing my views on it. Especially coming from a wrestling school, full of legacy wrestlers.

Honestly, that's literally all I had to say because there's no anger or beef between us, compared to Bill and Justin last week. We're wrestling and tear the house down and see who's on top. That's just it, sorry if the video is boring, but I can't think to criticize a guy I like and respect.

Tokyo, Japan. Friday 15th December. (Off-Camera)

It's the first time ever of Rodrigo doing skateboarding qualifiers for the Olympics in Japan. He met a lot of skateboarding fans, even some that were wrestling fans as well. All after he won the finals of the Skateboarding qualifiers final event in Tokyo. It had been one hell of an experience for Rodrigo, apart from being unable to skate in the street as it was the law in Japan to do so. Although he had been continuing his work as a skateboarder doing some tricks, he couldn't get Ella and the potential dad he will be off his mind, more now the skateboarding qualifiers at least for this year were over.

Rodrigo had been far too quiet about the situation and he'd rather put it to the back of his mind, but his skateboarding buddies of Darius and Jerald had noticed, but they didn't ask because the competition was way more important for Rodrigo along with Darius and Jerald who also were competing to qualify for the Olympics.

Rodrigo high fives his friends and saw Rodrigo wearing a gold medal on his neck as they left the skateboarding ramp and went to explore the town, carrying their skateboards. They go into a video game arcades place, the home of video games. Rodrigo nodded and smiles.

Rodrigo Afonso: “This is perfect. This is my cup of tea.”

Darius: “That's more like a friend would appreciate.”

Jerald: “Totally need to go out and play games against each other to rest you away from whatever has bothered you back at home.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Everything's fine. I was just a little tense about winning the skateboarding gold medal is all.”

Of course, Rodrigo covered up his tracks so far as he wasn't going to be in public about the real situation about his girlfriend, but saying that, he had been contacting her everyday, leaving his friends to be suspicious even more, but they didn't hear the discussions as it was always in his own hotel room.

Darius: “Look at this mortal kombat arcade game. Me and you Rodrigo one on one.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Alright, sounds like a plan.”

At least in Rodrigo's mind, he will act like a little kid for the time being and it was going to be one of his last chances to do so. He joins with Darius as Jerald had an idea for Rodrigo on what game they should play next.

Jerald: “After this, let's play Mario Kart.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Na, let's play Fast and Furious.”

Jerald: “Sounds good to me.”

Jerald went off to play Mario Kart by himself as Rodrigo and Darius put the coins in the system and selected their characters. Rodrigo selected Scorpion and Darius selected Sub Zero. They were using all sorts of controls with them going bam bam like they were enjoying the game which they were as it was a combat game. Rodrigo won the first round.

Darius: “Darn, I nearly had you then.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Hey, there's still another round to go.”

Scorpion reminded Rodrigo as the style of fighting and wrestling he had like Scorpion from and they were cheering and scream of let's go with a few moans and groans and eventually, Darius got Rodrigo and won the second round. Rodrigo shrugged the loss off as it was a game and had gotten used to losing. They played for one last round and they were very evenly matched and eventually at the last second, Rodrigo got Darius and won the entire game.

Darius: “Fair play Rodrigo, you won fair and square.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I guess I did. Let's go.”

However, as Rodrigo was going to leave, the game was starting the final level of the computer animated boss as he went to the game and played two rounds with the boss and the boss defeated him the first time with Darius groaning of the loss Rodrigo had. But suddenly, Rodrigo defeated the boss the second time. However he lost the third round and the game was over, but Jerald met up with them.

Jerald: “I had so much fun with Mario Kart. Let's go and play that Fast and Furious game here you wanted Rodrigo.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Sure thing.”

It was all about having fun with little to no wrestling discussions or about what's happening with Rodrigo's life at home, it was about being a nineteen year old kid who had a few months to explore. He and Jerald sat in the arcade machine of Fast and Furious, selected their cars and upgrades and they were racing each other in the night wars level. It was going to be a good game for the boys as Rodrigo was about the fast life, before skateboarding got him first. He did have targets to be an BMX rider too. But sticking to skateboarding was better.

Jerald: “Damn dude, you're a clean driver.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “It takes practice my friend driving one of these beast of the cars and having fun. You look where you going with these cars.”

Jerald: “If you play Mario Kart with me, we wouldn't see how awful of a driver I am with this. I'll play with Darius later on.”

Rodrigo shrugged his shoulders as he focuses on winning the race against Darius which he does and then he goes on to do another race in the desert with the same upgrade for the car and Darius got to see Rodrigo struggling on his own with computer drivers in the game itself. He did love the experience of it. Rodrigo saw an arcade that caught his eye.

Rodrigo Afonso: “I so want to play Jurassic Park arcade.”

Jerald: “Na, too scary for me. I rather play space invaders.”

Darius: “I'll play with you.”

Rodrigo nodded as they walked up to the Jurassic Park arcade as they had to wait their turn as someone else was playing the game currently. But it was game over for them and they got in the machine and took a seat with their guns at the ready and they were busy blasting Tyrannosaurus Rex as Rodrigo loved the dinosaur the most. He smiles at Darius who was playing along together. Just for a bit of fun. Although Rodrigo knew he was going to have to talk with Jerald and Darius later.

But it was good to relax and enjoying being a big kid Rodrigo was as he's younger than both Jerald and Darius. Darius got killed too many times and Rodrigo played on his own. He was enjoying the game a little too much, so much so he placed a coin in again and Darius says this.

Darius: “I'll play Mario Kart with Jerald. See you later.”

Darius left as it leaves Rodrigo to focus on killing more dinosaurs in his way, more specifically Tyrannosaurus Rex. He was having a blast, using all sorts of guns to take dinosaurs down, until he reached to the second level and had to select another dinosaur which was a Triceratops and he had a long life bar left and continued having fun. The game was over when he nearly completed the level.

Rodrigo Afonso: “Damn, I came so close of completing that level..”

He got off the machine as there were some kids waiting to play the game and caught up with Jerald and Darius who were playing Mario Kart against each other and watches by as Mario Kart wasn't his cup of tea for gaming. He certainly was enjoying himself in Japan, although he had to go back to America, Tucson, Arizona to be spot on. They had a lot of fun and decided to call arcade gaming for the night and left the arcade facility. As they were walking to the hotel with their boards, Rodrigo's gold medal with a trophy and Darius's bronze medal with a trophy.

Darius: “So, you got a match against three wrestlers.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Yeah, I have for the golden briefcase. A ladder match is what I like for sure. I don't know how briefcases work in wrestling, but I guess I'll find out.”

Jerald: “What's your opinion on Matty Mallow as we know what you're opinions are on the other two opponents, you fought and defeated them?”

Rodrigo scratched his head because he didn't really know what to think as he had only briefly saw him wrestler, but he has to know his opponent for the upcoming match.

Rodrigo Afonso: “He's defeated both opponents I'm facing along with him as well, but he hasn't fought me. He might be undefeated, but I can push Matty to the test of who is the better wrestler of the two of us.”

Darius: “He's a lot like you in the ring actually, high flying, but you have the technical advantage over this dude. I researched a bit of him. Seems like he's got beef with Justin Smith.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I think it's more Justin Smith to be honest. He seems to be angry about losses all the time, all relating to Casey Williams to some extent. Bill's mentioning Chris Shipman a lot and Matty's related or works at a wrestling school with Staggs. I'm the only one who hasn't aligned myself with wrestlers yet.”

Jerald: “Because you stand out, that's why. We know you're wrestling as it's been your dream, but what is the golden briefcase about?”

Darius: “I think you win a fancy contract or something, not sure because it hasn't taken place in years, but think it's where wrestlers like Rodrigo can make a legacy or something.”

Nodding was Rodrigo as he thought that was the case as they walked back to the hotel they stayed in. Of course they went up to their rooms and decided to go in Rodrigo's room as he was staying in a room by himself. He shrugs his shoulders to come out with the truth.

Rodrigo Afonso: “I didn't want to say out in public what was the real situation going on because I don't want my girlfriend to be affected.”

Jerald: “I knew you had something on your mind. Also, that's great you and Ella are together.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “To be honest, while I did offer her to be my girlfriend, in the end, it turns out I had to be.”

Darius: “Why's that?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “She's pregnant. She couldn't come because she was too sick quite frankly. We competely forgot to use condoms. Yeah, so I'm going to be a dad sometime next year.”

The guys were sitting there, looking straight at Rodrigo with the news he's got and they hugged him, although he was going to be a young father, but he had to do it because he and Ella got themselves in that situation.

Jerald: “Holy shit man, congratulations. Now I understand why you kept it quiet and why you've been hiding in your room, talking to Ella.”

Darius: “Big responsibility.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Yes it is, now if you excuse me guys, I need to talk to Ella.”

They got up and left Rodrigo to it as they went into their room together as Rodrigo dialled up the number to talk to Ella. They talked about the future, how they needed to go to pregnancy exercise class for Ella and parenting classes as well. Also the progress how the baby was doing as well and it was all exciting times ahead. After the hour long phone call, Rodrigo got his things packed up, except for the clothes he's wearing tomorrow. He went off to sleep and then got up at five in the morning to fly back to America.

Taking care of the briefcase business for the last time this year shoot. (On-Camera)

“Seems like my opponents are taking this challenge head on with Bill, Justin and Matty being my opponents for this week. I got to be frank, as much as I feel I'm undeserving for this match, I will always take opportunities when I'm given them, not by me demanding of course. But I do like this being a ladder match where Bill and Justin most likely will struggle because of their size. For me and Matty, it's a massive advantage for the pair of us.

I don't know what Justin Smith's going to say to me, considering I didn't hear a single word he had to say about me. Maybe he will this time with what the offer he has got on the table for him. I've beaten him and since he's given me little to no information about him other than his size and strength, I leave things there, seeing you're too angry and the only thing I know about you is being in Casey William's wrestling school.

Bill, why is it every time you do a wrestling video you talk about Chris Shipman? Listen, we get that you're his half brother, but you're beating a dead horse at this point. Heck, I don't even know the dude whatsoever. But you need to focus on fixing your own career and focusing what this match means to you. Because nobody cares for your Chris Shipman stories anymore. You're a great guy and has a big heart, but you don't have what it takes to be a wrestler here because you're not focusing on yourself. That's why you lost to me and Matty. You need to step up and tell your own wrestling stories of what this match means to you and why you're going to win.

Matty, you're my biggest competition out of anyone in this match to be quite frank because we've never fought unlike the other two of us beating them. You're a threat because not many people know much about you. Although you were in the Staggs wrestling school and got Kandy your friend around you and that's awesome, I would love to do tag wrestling with a female partner myself, but I haven't found anyone yet. Our wrestling styles match and it's great to face a high flyer for once. Usually use my technician skills to beat opponents bigger and stronger than me.

I respect the hell out of you because you've earned that with your efforts in the ring. But someday my friend, you will suffer losses in wrestling. There's no guarantee you are going to walk away with the briefcase in hand because it's very difficult to wrestle and go on a winning streak. It's impressive to say the least, but you're going against me that's fought some really tough opponents. Some I was far too early for.

But at the same time, I gained and grew better as a wrestler by facing all these legends and former SCW champions. I will do everything to go up because I've been unlucky with my results lately, but unlike the rest of you, none of you have any excuses for your losses, especially you Bill. I'm going to climb up the ladder and win the Golden Briefcase which I'm aware you win a contract of what match you want or title.

I already know what title I'm going for, granted if they are still champion, but if they aren't, I still want to face them. Not going to tell you all who that is, but you'll find out sooner than later when I'll beat you all down with and without high flying moves. There is no way anyone else is winning this match apart from me because I deserve it and I will work hard to get there. I don't need to say much more than that because saying less is more.”

A short video shoot for an opponent who doesn't say or do much youtube.com.

"I got to be honest when I got told I was facing Justin Smith, after doing some research, I have no idea what to say about this dude because he hasn't given anyone room to speak about himself. It's another brief video because Justin doesn't talk much. Even I speak more about my opponents than he does. Granted, the first opponent was new, but what is the story behind Justin Smith? What does he do outside of wrestling? Does he have a family?

We don't know all of those things about Justin Smith. However, I did read in the bio that he trained with the top legends of Sin City Wrestling, the likes of Casey Williams, Andrew Garcia and Ivan Darrell. He is also close friends with Hitamashii, a former Japanese Sin City Underground champion. He lost against Matty Mallow and won against Troll.

I can't talk about how terrible my win and loss records are. So, do I deserve to be in this match against Justin Smith? Yes, one hundred per cent. Then again, I've been facing top names of Eddie Lyons and Goth and gladly lost to them. I'm not going to lose my mind over a poor run; it won't solve anything other than being extra aggressive, and I can't be doing that because it only makes things worse.

I don't know what to expect from Justin Smith with his secretive life outside of the ring. Apart from power advantage, every wrestler has that against me, so there's no point in beating a dead horse over it. Another reason why I don't want to lose my mind is you're the perfect example of why.

Losing my mind to the point I lose focus on wrestling and everything in life. Living your life as a miserable guy who doesn't seem happy to be in a rage with your opponents. I highly doubt you can choke someone's butt out, you'd be arrested if you do such a crime. I won't allow you to rest for a single second for you to get that chance because I'll be too fast and rapid for you to catch me up.

You can throw me around with one hand or like a ragdoll, but I will always come back up and hit you with all the submission moves I can master. Ask Bill how well that ended up for him, even though it's the past. I heard you were known for smashing everything in your path. I believe you could with me, but it's a lie. Because if you were known as The Tarrytown Smasher, you'd be winning and smashing everyone your way. But you haven't.

You barely made it out against Troll. So I don't really have much left to say other than what I've pointed out. You won't dominate me, and you certainly won't swat me like a fly, despite me flying around in the ring like a fly, but I will do things you can't handle, and it will cost you the win. I'm winning this match because you don't have a chance to fight back. That's all I have to say because I got this match won."

Cambridge, Massachusetts. Friday 3rd November (Off-Camera)

Rodrigo and Ella were sitting inside of the waiting room, waiting to be seen by a doctor due to their discovery three weeks ago of Ella potentially could be pregnant. It was tough to get an appointment, especially when Ella wasn't technically living in US yet. Luckily, the language factor wasn't going to affect her from coming to United States to live, but she still had to sort out visas, her belongings to move to US which means she'd have to go back to Switzerland at some point to sort all of that out. That wasn't important right now, what was the news that hit them immediately, especially Rodrigo was still a kid who hadn't grown up yet. Ella held Rodrigo's hand, even if people looked at Rodrigo funny because of the burn on his face.

Ella: “I'm scared.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Everything will be fine, even if we are a young couple.”

Ella: “I know most of all, I'm scared of flying back to Switzerland if I am pregnant.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I know you are and if I can, during the Christmas period, I come back to Switzerland with you and help you pack.”

Ella: “Thank you.”

Ella fell into Rodrigo's arms and he kissed Ella on her head and stroked her as he saw a lot of couples going in and check for the same thing or for regular pregnancy check ups, even if he didn't feel he was good at reassuring his now girlfriend, especially being in a new relationship and all. Rodrigo and Ella were being patient, although Rodrigo was afraid inside of him, but refuses to show Ella his concerns.

More so when they were called up by a female doctor and because they were both new, Rodrigo asked doctor a question as Ella stood up.

Rodrigo Afonso: “Do I go in with Ella?”

Doctor: “Yes.”

Rodrigo nods as he stands up and walks into the office and closes the door as Ella was shown to the bed and Rodrigo sat next to her, while she laid in bed and lifts up her stomach area of her shirt. The female blonde hair doctor looked at Rodrigo and Ella and she asks them a question.

Female doctor: “What can I help you both with?”

Ella: “I took a pregnancy test and said it was positive so here we are.”

Doctor: “OK, let me use a special machine and before I get on with the checks if you are indeed pregnant, you guys want a picture?”

Both Rodrigo and Ella nodded as they did need a picture to show to their families about them potentially being grandparents and it was the time to find out from their discovery what their plans are for the future. Rodrigo and Ella looked on the screen as Ella flinched with the cold blue gel on her stomach and the doctor took a while before he found a discovery.

Doctor: “You see here, there's the cervix and the uterus. That dark sac there, that's the amniotic sac. Right there in the middle is the embryo. You see that flicker in the middle, that's a heartbeat. Looks like you are pregnant, about nine to ten weeks I'd say. Congratulations.”

Right there, Rodrigo stood there in absolute shock and Ella started tearing up, saying oh no, trying to soak up the feeling that they were going to have a baby together at a young age.

Doctor: “I meet you both in the office and give you both sometime here alone.”

The doctor went in the office with the picture being printed off and Ella still crying and Rodrigo was deep down inside, looking at the floor stating oh shit to himself and then looks up at Ella and strokes her back.

Rodrigo Afonso: “It'll be OK as I said.”

Ella: “I want to be with you, always.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “No matter what happens between us, whether we'll be together or not, I will still be apart of our baby's life. I have to be responsible here.”

Ella: “You do.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I will do everything I can to assist you and have the baby born right here. I'll be every step of the way. Now, shall we go into that office and discuss other plans?”

Ella nodded as she noticed the doctor left piece of tissue and she wiped up the gel from her stomach and they stood up with Rodrigo assisting her and they went into the office and closed the door behind them.

Doctor: “So you both decided what you're going to do with the baby?”

Ella: “Oh, we decided to keep it. We want to be parents as I don't agree with the options of having our baby adopted or aborted.”

Doctor: “I guess you both have a few questions to ask about the pregnancy.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “What kind of things Ella has to eat?”

Doctor: “I suggest healthy fruit and veg foods, but also make sure the meat is cooked well done. Do any of you smoke?”

They shook their heads, although Rodrigo says this.

Rodrigo Afonso: “Although my father does.”

Doctor: “She must not be near your dad when he smokes as it will affect the baby in the long run and Rodrigo, she will need you to take care of her.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I'm not leaving her side no matter what. I'm not a dickhead like that.”

Ella: “How long will I be pregnant?”

Doctor: “Ten months. I will give you and Rodrigo a leaflet about being pregnant and I'll grab that picture out off the printer there for you both to read. I also suggest you get some parenting classes as well since you both are a very young couple.”

Both nodded as Rodrigo and Ella stood up from the chairs in the doctor's office as they walked out of the room with the pregnancy leaflets and grabbed the picture of early signs of the baby and left the office for Rodrigo to get Ella into the car and they drove back home with happiness all over their face, despite a touch of fear as well. Rodrigo drove home and instead of letting her out of the car once he unlocked the house door, he picked up Ella and carried her to his home to gently place her on the sofa. He closes all doors and locks the car up before going into his home and they discuss the future they now have together with a little boy or girl on the way.

------------------------------------

Cambridge, Massachusetts. Friday 16th November (Off-Camera)

Although Rodrigo didn't wrestle well in his match against Eddie Lyons, it was because he didn't really have any material to give to him, considering he respected him too much. However, it had been a while he had gotten in contact with his trainer from England since he came over to give Rodrigo some training with hardcore wrestling, Lee Baker. Granted a lot has happened in Rodrigo's life since that time and hadn't been with a girl until afterwards. Regardless, he had a phone call and it was from Lee Baker. In case things got intense with Lee, he took the phone call in the future baby's bedroom since Ella was sleeping in the other bedroom. He closed the door and picked the phone up.

Rodrigo Afonso: “Hello, Lee.”

Lee Baker: “How come I've not heard from you since a few weeks ago?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Listen, something has happened in my life and I'm taking care of it.”

Lee Baker: “I know you got skateboarding Olympic qualifiers coming up, I understand you're taking care of that.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “No, nothing to do with skateboarding. More I um met a girl while I was in Switzerland, Ella. Beautiful lady and ended up sleeping together.”

It was hard because although Rodrigo and Ella recently told their parents on the phone and will aim for them to go to Switzerland to get the entire family together, although Ella's dad wanted to take Rodrigo's throat out, although he said he was drunk and wished he had been responsible. There was a long pause from Rodrigo, shaking his head.

Lee Baker: “You're going to tell me, she's pregnant, aren't you?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Yes. I take full responsibility for my behaviour because I was drunk at the time. That's why I've been so busy.”

Lee Baker: “That I can really understand, I was worried about you, especially with your performance against Eddie Lyons.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I had an off day to be honest and rather not discuss that. I wait until next week to make up for it.”

Lee cleared his throat and that was not always a good sign for Rodrigo, knowing how serious Lee was at times when he cleared his throat as Rodrigo responds.

Rodrigo Afonso: “Why you doing that? There's no way I'm wrestling this week.”

Lee Baker: “Think again, boy. Because while I understand the circumstances with your girl and congratulations on having a baby by the way, despite you being too young to be a dad, you better be looking on the Sin City Wrestling website.”

It was a strange situation for Rodrigo because ever since he signed with Sin City Wrestling, he had never had to wrestle one week after he's done a wrestling match. He got his mobile phone and checked the website and the latest card said his name and Rodrigo dropped the mobile phone on the floor hard.

Lee Baker: “Oh yeah, that's happening.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “How?”

Lee Baker: “Sin City Wrestling bosses say you have a bright future and what they love about you is you can pull wins out of anywhere. I know, granted the two losses in the row hurt, but this is your ultimate test. Goth is a hall of fame Sin City Wrestling legend.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “That's why I said how, especially after my piss poor performance.”

Rodrigo couldn't believe it. Sure his girlfriend was pregnant with a baby, but this was a step too fast for Rodrigo to already face a hall of fame legendary wrestler. Peter Vaughn might be a step up from the usual already, but Goth was another level above Peter in terms of the status. Lee got Rodrigo back on track.

Lee Baker: “Everyone can have a bad day at work. It happens in life, even happened with your skateboarding career. But you learn to deal with it and granted, you've dealt with the losses better than most wrestlers have and you're nineteen. I guess your experience with the X-Games gold medal loss has helped you deal with it.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “It has and I refuse to be like other wrestlers, lose my mind mentally over a loss. I was disappointed, but I shut that away. I thought I performed against Eddie worse than the first time.”

Lee Baker: “Forget that. Focus on Goth who you will gain so much experience with. He's far tougher than Peter, but you're given a chance to prove to Goth that you're no pushover, especially I still remember you locking submission hold on Bill Barnhart. I suggest you do that again with Goth.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I get it, he's much bigger than me. I will do everything I can to win the match, especially for Ella and myself. I gotta go and do more training then. Bye.”

Rodrigo put the phone down as he goes downstairs to write a note to Ella about going down to the gym to do training because he has a match against a hall of fame wrestler, Goth. Rodrigo places a note next to Ella as she was sleeping and then went downstairs again and heads out of the door to do some training for the match against Goth.

-----------------------------

Another unexpected match out of the blue youtube.com shoot (On-Camera)

“I have no idea what's going on in Sin City Wrestling lately that I'm getting unexpected matches. First was against Peter Vaughn for the Roulette title twice and now, I'm facing against a legendary hall of fame wrestler in Sin City Wrestling, Goth. Has to be one of my biggest matches in my career, that's for sure. I'm really surprised, considering I haven't done much and underperformed against Eddie and I congratulate him on the win, I just had nothing for him.

But I do with you, Goth. Because you have earned all your title wins, including the tag titles and being in the hall of fame because you held so many titles, heck some say you're one of the top guys in this company right now and I take that seriously because I have to with somewhat of an early opportunity to prove to myself to you. While knowing at the same time, I will gain a lot of experience from wrestling you.

But you don't sound good when you're mentally in pain a lot because you crave to be the Heavyweight champion again and I got to ask since it's been on my mind since the match was announced and your in ring speech last week, if you've been champion so many times, why are you even more desperate to win it again? I will never understand, considering you could easily develop young talent of the future to make a mark in the business.

I get it, it must be crushing to have a World Title defeat, but even I didn't come across being desperate of wanting another title shot because the end of the day, I wasn't prepared for a title shot and I still got a long way to grow. I may have wanted a match with Miles sure, but it's only because everyone at my wrestling school talks nothing, but him. I don't even want to face him for the title as such, but just because he's an excellent wrestler.

As I said to Peter and I will say it to you again, being desperate to win the World Title can cost you mistakes and it's because of your desperateness that you lost the match to win the title. Despite the amount of times you held the title, just because you have, in my opinion, you got to work to earn it again. I get it, you want to face the top wrestlers, but you don't get to decide who they place you in matches with, Sin City Wrestling bosses do.

Admittedly, I don't know what mental pain feels like apart from losing the gold medal at X-Games back in two thousand and twenty one, but I know what psychially pain feels like. Of course, two very different things, but still, I will push myself through pain barriers to wrestle to my full potential. I have to against you because you are a top talent around SCW and that's no lie.

Of course, the best part about all this is your weakness is my strength, speed. Of course that doesn't always work against big guys like you, but making you big guys submit does. I proved that against Bill a few weeks ago. I have the ability to pull wins out of the bag with every odds stacked against me. Although you should know why I wear the face paint by now because I got burned when I was younger and I almost died from it.

Did you get burned or did you have surgery that went wrong for you to wear face paint in the past or was it part of your wrestling character let's put that into words because I hate the word, gimmick? What happened to the respectful Goth everyone knew in the past. You don't look like you're a Goth, despite the name. If you seen my skateboarding and wrestling videos, I'm way more of a Goth than you are.

I get it, you're going to underestimate me and think you got this match won because you have the experience. I'm not defending those parts, but as hard and experienced you are, you aren't going to win the match, not for a single second. I don't know why you want to leave on top, considering all the times you left and returned god knows how many times, you have left on top. Coming back, leaving so frequently, doesn't make your returns special anymore. It only ruins your credibility of your career. I will never leave the skateboarding or wrestling scene until I can't wrestle or skate anymore and retire, no matter if I left on top or bottom, but that's far away for me yet.

I wonder what you were doing at thirteen years old? Did you prove to the entire world that you were making a ton of money winning gold medals in a sport like I was, while still at school or were you in school learning or even just out of the streets, homeless, wondering what you want to do with your life?

Going off topic a bit there without relevance to wrestling. I'm not going to disagree with you on me not deserving to face you as it was a shock to me as it was for you to see you face me, but I will prove everything I have learned so far in my career to be the top wrestler because I'm not a big believer in calling someone best. That word does not exist to me, but I will also gain more experience and learn everything I can to get better.

I'm the underdog and I'm glad to be there because I don't want to be some overrated and overhyped wrestler that has all got things going good for him and then turn utterly rubbish wrestlers. I'm going to wrestle you and pull this win out of the bag, despite the size differences, despite the losses I've gotten and despite you having more experience than me. I'm in this match because SCW bosses see the future in me.

They see that I'm more than capable of competing against you and that I will. But because your desperate of facing Ben, Carter, J2H, Austin, Jack and even Peter again, it will cost you this match. Me? I got nothing to focus on. I got nothing in my way of capturing the win, nor am I desperate for anything. I will take the legendary wrestler down and shock the world of making you tap out since you want pain so much. Maybe you'll feel the pain of embarrassment when I defeat you in the ring. Good luck Goth because as much as you are a threat and I respect your accomplishments, it's not going to do you good when you can't stop me from winning this match.”

Climax Control Archives / A short promo for an opponent I respect.
« on: November 10, 2023, 08:13:28 PM »
OOC: I apologise for this short RP. I had no time this week, with my focus being on something else.

A short video shoot for an opponent I respect youtube.com.

"The reason this video will be short is simply because what can I say that wouldn't be so mean to an opponent that I respect? Nothing, really, because I do respect Eddie Lyons. I respect his abilities in the ring, and whatever he would say to me, I'd agree, honestly. I'm not going to stand here and say I disagree. The fact is you're most likely right about me needing more wins, but many bosses are looking at you right now.

So wouldn't the pressure be on you? That's all I will say because I respect you way too much to overlook you, which I won't. You're fantastic in the ring, and sure, we both have had title losses, but I don't think for a second that the Internet title shot isn't your last chance. I even think you'd be a great Roulette Champion as well. As much as I respect Peter Vaughn, the Roulette title is just getting him in the way of being a SCW World Champion.

I lost, yes, but you see, I'm not going into my psychotic rage or bitching, complaining or screaming to the heavens about a loss. I learned as a sixteen-year-old kid who lost grabbing the gold medal by two points in the X-Games in two thousand and twenty-one it won't get you anywhere. You learn from the loss and do everything to improve, not to let it happen again. I admit, yeah, my lack of experience got me, and I passed out.

So I got too comfortable with being in a submission hold and being in pain because skateboarders get hurt all the time from falls and jumping with tricks on high ramps, but I'm still more of a rookie than you, Eddie. You had wrestling experience from previous wrestling companies. I don't. You're just a rookie in SCW, not a wrestler as a whole like me. I'm a rookie in both wrestling and here. I agree; you're a high-rising rookie, and I respect everything you've done in the ring so far.

But Eddie, I know you aren't going to think you'll win again because, since our first match, I've grown and improved a lot since our first encounter. It's always been and will be an honour facing you, although part of me got jealous of you facing Miles Kasey, who I've always wanted to face since I got here, and it's a shame I'm not facing him in a non-title match yet, but I get it, I got to earn that match against him. My wrestling school talks a lot about Miles Kasey because I trained at a British wrestling school, the mecca of European Wrestling.

Still, we shall see what we will bring to the table this time and brighten everything we have against each other to go all out and see who the winner is. Win or lose, it's always an honour to face an opponent who I will never forget, giving me my first match and an opportunity to be a star. But I feel it's ridiclious already. I've had two title shots in only a month since I've been here, and I'm a full-time professional wrestler.

But I guess the SCW bosses see the hard work I've been putting in that I use my speed and technical wrestling moves for the bigger guys, which you've seen what I've done with Bill and Troll, who were more significant than me. I can overcome anything, and I will even if I lose this match. Still, good luck, and may the best man win. That's all I will say without disrespecting a wrestler I have a huge amount of respect for, Eddie."

Cambridge, Massachusetts. Thursday 13th October. (Off-Camera)

Lee Baker decided to come and visit Rodrigo in his home in America due to his need to find Rodrigo a wrestling school he could go to to modify his hardcore wrestling skills instead of flying back and forth to the United Kingdom all the time. However, he would still have to fly back and forth to Europe anyway because he is a big star, his family, and his girlfriend and her family live in Europe. Still, Lee did find one to hire for the entire two weeks with another fellow couple of wrestlers to train with Rodrigo in hardcore wrestling situations.

He'd just come home from having an intense hardcore wrestling workout with a workout bag over his shoulder. As soon as he closed the door, he said this.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I'm home."

Ella: "Just a minute."

He heard her response, despite Ella sounding like she was sick, but it was a response he heard. Rodrigo then went downstairs to the basement of his home to put his wrestling clothes in the washing machine using washing powder and detergent, and then he came upstairs and saw that Ella had been cooking, but the problem was she wasn't there.

Rodrigo Afonso: "Where are you?"

Ella: "I'm in the bathroom; I'll be there just a minute."

Rodrigo had no idea what was going on as he was concerned about the food being burned, so he went to the kitchen and continued to check the chicken she was cooking before she came out, feeling a little better and saw, to her amazement, Rodrigo helping her and she hugged him.

Ella: "Thank you. Please just relax."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Are you alright? I heard you vomiting upstairs."

Ella: "I've just got a stomach bug, that's all."

Rodrigo Afonso: "I hope you washed your hands."

Ella: "I have thoroughly."

Ella suddenly felt the need, and she covered her mouth.

Ella: "Excuse me, you continue with the chicken."

Rodrigo nodded, and Ella went straight into the bathroom to become sick again. Rodrigo was even more worried, even wanting to call for an ambulance since it was pretty serious in his book. He did see the chicken was ready; however, as he turned the oven off, pulled it out, and placed it on the kitchen table to take the chicken out of the oven plate and placed it on the large plate, Ella had put it out.

Rodrigo Afonso: "Do you want me to call for an ambulance? I'm apprehensive about you."

Ella: "It's fine."

Ella then realises what she could be experiencing as she covers her mouth with these words, remembering what she and Rodrigo did in Switzerland a few weeks ago.

Ella: "Oh shit."

Rodrigo heard it as he shook his body and asked this, getting even more concerned.

Rodrigo Afonso: “What?”

Ella: "I need to go to the shop to buy something. I will be back."

It was something she couldn't explain to Rodrigo for now as she ran down the stairs, even if she looked out as hell, put her shoes on and left the house. Rodrigo shook his shoulders as he prepared the chicken salad and pasta meal. He serves it up and wraps Ella's food he prepared for her from her cooking in a food wrap so it would stay fresh and prevent bugs from eating it. He takes his plate to the table and eats it.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I'm so concerned about Ella. What's going on with her? I hope she hasn't got something serious going on. I'm so worried."

He said to himself as he had come home from wrestling hardcore training just a few minutes ago and had already forgotten everything he learned because his main concern was his girlfriend, who had been sick a lot the last few days. He had to relax as sure; this relationship was still new to the pair and bound to have arguments, but everything was all going well, and this could change everything. Rodrigo finished eating chicken salad pasta, washed his plate, poured himself a glass of orange juice, sat in the living room, and watched television.

Fifteen minutes later, Ella returned with a big carrier bag of stuff, but Rodrigo didn't question it, especially since it was clear to him Ella had been sick the entire time she had been back from California. She went upstairs to the bathroom again as Rodrigo turned his PlayStation Five console on to play a wrestling game. As he does a few quick matches, Ella screams from the top of her lungs and breathes in and out. Rodrigo went straight upstairs, but Ella heard his footsteps.

Ella: "I tell you in a minute, let me gather this for a second."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Please let me help."

Ella: "I said in a minute."

Rodrigo nodded, went back downstairs, and turned everything off, knowing this could be something to be concerned about. You can hear Ella sobbing from the bathroom, and then she comes downstairs, shaking and hugging Rodrigo after gathering herself up with the news she's about to tell Rodrigo.

Ella: "Please take a seat. I need to tell and show you something."

Rodrigo Afonso: "I came this close to calling for an ambulance."

Ella: "Sorry for making you worry about my sickness, but it's more than just a stomach bug."

Rodrigo Afonso: "If it's not that, th........"

As Rodrigo was about to ask the question, he was given a stick by Ella, and he saw the signs of the stick. Because Rodrigo was still a young kid and a man, he had no idea what this meant to him, and he scratched his head, trying to explain the situation.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I don't know what this means."

Ella: "The two-plus means positive. I'm pregnant."

Rodrigo had to grow up faster than ever before, which would be an issue, considering Ella still needed a visa to stay in the US. Still, it would be the case of her sorting it out now as Rodrigo wasn't moving anywhere; luckily, he had a spare bedroom available in his home, so that wouldn't be an issue. Rodrigo widens his eyes at Ella, and he says this.

Rodrigo Afonso: "Seriously?"

Ella: "Sadly, yes. That's why I was saying oh shit, earlier in the bathroom because, at that time, I just figured out what this stomach bug I thought I had could be."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Now I got to grow up into being a man quicker than I thought I would be at this stage."

Ella: "But a sexy man and future father you will be. We get to know each other better, and I know you want to be with me."

Rodrigo nodded his head as he got up and gave Ella a hug. She was surprised that Rodrigo was relaxed about the whole situation and, more so, how sensible he was than being compared to other men his age who would walk away and leave the home. Rodrigo gives Ella a kiss on her lips and says this.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I wouldn't treasure our time together to create our child for anything. I will take so much care of you, and although I'm still practically a kid, nor do I know any laws in the US, I hope it's legal here that we can be a family."

Ella: "I never expected how mature you are, but at the same time, we got no choice but to be, especially since I don't want to put our baby up for adoption or abort our child. I want it and will forever stick by that decision."

Rodrigo Afonso: "I'm happy whatever decision you make because it's yours at the end of the day, and if you want to have our baby, I'm more than happy to go on this road with you and be parents. The problem is our parents know nothing about us being together or that we've introduced to each other's families."

Ella: "I think we need to right away, more than ever now. I aim to have the baby here and move in with you, especially since your place has another bedroom and is far bigger than my house in Switzerland."

This was significant news for Rodrigo because now, he had a baby on the way, which would conflict with his time as a professional skateboarder, wrestler, and father to his future child. However, he still needed to do the sports for money.

Rodrigo Afonso: "Despite us having a baby, it only makes me want to win the Roulette title and the Olympic gold medal in skateboarding Olympics even more. Thank you for the motivation and for making me want to be with you more, Ella. I wouldn't treasure another girl for you."

Ella: "How are you being calm and sensible about this as a nineteen-year-old? It means a lot that you only want to be with me and not be with other women, despite the risk of us not working out is high, but no matter what happens, you'll always be a part of our baby's life."

Rodrigo Afonso: "That means a lot. Anyway, we need to get you some hospital appointments booked at least while you can, and I will also pay for all the hospital fees for you."

That was major for Rodrigo, and after he said that to Ella, she gave him a massive hug and kissed him, beginning to love him even more. Rodrigo told Ella that it was only fair to reveal his natural face.

Rodrigo Afonso: "You want to see my real face from the other side? I need to show you now since you will be someone I want to be with, and with this news. Let me go to the bathroom and wash this off."

Rodrigo went into the bathroom and saw a ton of pregnancy tests, all with positive signs on them. He washed his face, and you could see a heavily burned face for the first time as he looked in the mirror and said this.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I need to not be scared of showing this to Ella and feel if she loves me the way she currently does and I'm going to be a father, I need to feel satisfied she's not going to call me a freak."

He came out of the bathroom and came downstairs. Ella saw his burned face, and she shrugged it off, which surprised Rodrigo with no laughter like other people he feared would when they saw his burned face. Besides, only genuine people can see what Rodrigo looked like.

Ella: "I don't care what you look like, Rodrigo; I still feel you're attractive. I'm guessing you've been afraid to show me."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Or anyone for that matter. Besides my family, you're the first person outside of them who sees this. I've mostly used my face paint to cover the burn as a trademark to not think I'm a disgusting human being."

Ella: "You're not. I like the way you are, and it doesn't matter to me, and if anyone has a problem, it's them, not you."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Let's just relax the rest of the night together and watch a romantic movie because I feel you need that, especially that intense hardcore wrestling training I did with Lee today."

Ella nodded as she did forget about Rodrigo's intense training he had been doing every day since Lee; two training wrestlers and another trainer came by to hire a wrestling school just to get Rodrigo's hardcore wrestling skills up to scratch.

Ella: "Shit, sorry for not asking you. How did it go?"

Rodrigo Afonso: "I don't understand why many wrestlers trash this kind of wrestling like you can't do the stuff in any other place of the world legally than wrestling itself. I find the Roulette championship the most challenging than even the world title. Sure, winning the world title is challenging, but not knowing what type of match you'll be in is even harder to prepare for."

Ella: "So, does this mean you enjoyed the training today like you've been the past few days?"

Rodrigo Afonso: “Yes. People who trash the whole it's a gimmick and an insult to wrestling need to shut up and take this seriously. Like, who cares if it's a gimmick title? I don't think it is at all, and if you want to be a clean wrestler, you should go and be an MMA fighter who doesn't provide weapons fighting, but that's another thing that made me become a wrestler.

Ella: "Yeah, there's really something different about wrestling how you can use weapons to beat opponents. No other sports you can do this. Anyway, I want to watch Sex and The City movie."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Fine with me."

Rodrigo kisses Ella all over as she pushes Rodrigo off her. However, she likes it; they aren't going anywhere tonight as they want to relax at home and be together, the future parents they were going to be, but in Rodrigo's case, the future is now the Roulette title and being the Olympic champion once again because despite being a wrestler now, he wasn't going to be a one-off Olympic champion without defending his gold medal.

During the week, Rodrigo had been training a lot, every day, making sure he knew what weapons were used for and what kind of matches he could put himself in, even if there were cage or hell-in-a-cell matches, even elimination chamber matches. Everything was thrown at him like a kitchen sink. He also met with his skateboarding buddies during the week, telling them about the Roulette title match he had, about Ella being his girlfriend and how they are planning to be a family due to Ella being pregnant.

So much was happening at once, but Rodrigo could not let the future of being a father distract him for the time being from capturing the Roulette title. But wrestling had been more on his mind than being a dad was.

I will still gain experience regardless of the result because I'm seeking to win discussion part 2. (On-Camera)

“I got to be honest, if there's something I hate more about professional wrestling than anything, it's responding to what the opponent has to say and I'm only doing it out of respect. Because why do I need to respond to Peter about everything he said about me? Why not you know, prove it in the ring? Because that's where I prefer to do the talking to respond to opponents honestly because doing another video of Peter saying this and that about me is completely pointless, especially for me when I agree with majority of his points.

Some of it I can't back up, but do you really need to go into detail all the time who you've beaten and what not? No, because sure, some of those wins against the top guys are impressive, but the fact is I don't really care who you've beaten since you beat the dead horse over and over again to death. I'm nothing like the guys you said and I don't care if you beaten Miles, do you honestly think pointing all of the wins you had against people are going to affect me? No. Just because you beaten them and just because you beaten me the first time, doesn't mean it'll happen again.

You said it yourself you beaten Jack Washington and he's beaten you. Sure, I may not be on their level yet because I still got a lot of stuff to work on, but that's the difference between me and you. The only time I've left the house this entire week is training with my trainers and a couple of wrestlers everyday, preparing for every sort of hardcore wrestling situation I could be in, including chambers, hell-in-a-cell and cage matches. Even some deathmatches. I've been prepared for them all.

That's the thing Peter. I'm nothing like those wrestlers because all of them have had experienced wrestling before Sin City Wrestling. Sin City Wrestling is the first and only wrestling company I've ever been apart of. I'm more of a rookie than any of the wrestlers that have come in here. They are new to the company, not entirely rookies, compared to me. I respect Eddie and even you because you have done some amazing things here, but it means nothing. When I become champion, I will rarely brag about my win against you because I don't need to and I wouldn't need to brag about defending my title successfully against other wrestlers.

Heck, I barely brag about being an Olympic champion, but the reason I'm defending my Olympic medal is because I'm just like you, wanting to defend the gold medal to prove I'm still the top guy. Also just before you get onto the whole losing against you thing again, I actually lost to the same guy the next year in X-Games in the same place, but it didn't have affect on me at all. It only made me want to get better once again. See, losing again to you won't have me moaning or complaining because I will learn from this.

Sure you beat me, but is it really an achievement when you of course because of your experience to beat me in a bar brawl match when I had no hardcore experience? No, not really and you've been complaining and moaning about the lack of competition itself. I get it, you so desperate to be the longest Roulette champion in history, but the more your desperate to do so, the more you will make mistakes. Even I know that and I'm nineteen years old.

In fact, I should be the one desperate to win the title, but I'm not, but I'm not a fool for neglicting this rematch being even bigger than the first match I had because losing to you only made me more of a threat, knowing that I was faster than you and that's the only thing I have over you honestly. I'm unable to back up most of what you said which is why this whole back and forth of saying this and that is stupid and pointless.

Because I don't care what you have to say to me, I've had to ignore vile and nasty comments from fans my entire life from the skateboarding world and that's a thing I have an advantage of is I'm capable of coping with nasty and vile comments from competitors, no matter what sport it is. You said you nearly killed Eddie with a sledgehammer, knowing if you did that, you would be arrested and have lawsuit onto you.

I don't want to kill anyone, more I want to destroy you, not as desperate as you think. I may want to win, but not desperate for it because it can cost you mistakes. Something I've learned a lot from when we last fought is you never know what can throw at you like a kitchen sink, but all that matters is we're facing off for that Roulette title your so desperate to keep, so desperate to break records, but to be honest, I came closer to defeating you than any other wrestler you've fought for the title.

I believe you're ready to move on from the Roulette title to achieve greater and better things than accepting challenges from future wrestlers on the block because they are new to Sin City Wrestling. I only count wrestlers being rookies if they were like me, having no wrestling matches anywhere and proving time and time again of how underrated they are because I rather be the underdog than being an overrated wrestler that many wrestlers are around here.

I don't have much to say other than the top wrestler because I don't believe in the term best since nobody is the better wrestler as there's always someone better than you in this business, but the top wrestler will win and will be me because I bet you, when I win the Roulette title, I won't moan or complain about facing whoever Sin City Wrestling staff pick me to face for the title because I'd embrace every competition they put against me. I hope you're ready for a war because I will put my body in a lot of pain to win the title because well, I just want to be champion and it would be a shock because imagine you lost to a wrestler who's wrestling in their fifth match in history

I'm still classed as a complete rookie to the sport with only in his second hardcore match and wins the title? Be embarrassing to you so I get why you're desperate to beat me because nobody should want to lose to a rookie wrestler, but it can and will happen. See you out there, Pete because there's nothing else I can say other than to prove it in the ring.”

Vista, California. Sunday 18th July 2021. (Off-Camera)

When Rodrigo was sixteen years old, he thought he was the best skateboarder out of everyone in the group as Rodrigo had won the gold medal last three years, although things were strange this time because there was no audience, nobody, but the staff and the other skaters. Rodrigo Afonso was leading the skateboard park competition for his gender division had it all going well for him until all of a sudden, an American skater who had never skated professionally, being his first time as a professional skateboarder, did the one thing others failed to do, defeat Rodrigo and worst of all, it was by two points.

Because of that, Rodrigo as he was still a child at this point threw his skateboard at the other competitor who defeated him, although luckily, he missed the winner of the contest who was named Aaron Wilkinson and he shook his head, tutting in disgust.

Rodrigo Afonso: “I was robbed; no way was he better than me.”

Rodrigo couldn't take the loss, and he was kicking and screaming like a child because he didn't know how he could handle losses, and this was way before he had any sort of professional wrestling matches. Suddenly, after he stood on the podium, looking disgusted at Aaron and the anthem finished, Rodrigo went straight to the changing rooms by himself.

Rodrigo Afonso: “Two bloody points? How could I lose to a rookie?”

Rodrigo threw the skateboard again and it was at that moment the guy came in, happened to be one of his best friends from the skateboarding world Rodrigo sat there, disgusted, even spat on the floor, shaking his head. A guy who turned out to be named Jerald Overton tried to fist-bump Rodrigo, but he shook his head.

Jerald Overton: “What's the deal?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I got beat by a thirteen-year-old rookie. It's embarrassing and not funny.”

Jerald Overton: “Dude, you can't go around and throw skateboards over a loss. Imagine when you're eighteen, and you lose a wrestling match or even lose a title match for the first time. Are you going to react this way by throwing things and disrespecting your competitors?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Most likely, yes, if they are rookies I've lost to.”

Jerald Overton: “I know it must be gutting to lose to a rookie who's new to the skateboarding scene, but at the same time, Rodrigo, it gives you the chance to get better. It's heartbreaking for sure you lost by two points, but at the end of the day, you knew you were going to lose at some point.”

Rodrigo almost put his fingers to his ears, not wanting to hear what Jerald had to say despite how close they were as friends. Jerald had never seen Rodrigo react the way he had for any type of result in his life. Of course, Rodrigo was sixteen, and he was still at school at this point in Portugal and shaking his head massively.

Rodrigo Afonso: “I got screwed. The judges got the scorecards all wrong. That stunt of what the kid did not impress me one bit. They were trying to favour him over me because I had been dominant.”

Jerald Overton: “Even if the trick he did wasn't impressive to your eyes, it was to the judges, and it was also a smooth run he had too. Not that yours wasn't, but the point is if you're going to continue this and be a professional wrestler at the same time, you have to get over the loss you had and stop whining and crying over it, because it's not going to get you anywhere.”

Although it was a hard lesson for Rodrigo as a young kid he was where he had barely any friends apart from his skateboarding buddies in America as his family had to take him to America due to his age and weren't going to bother to disturb Rodrigo when he was in a bad mood or the fact he was disappointed with how he was placed in the X-Games, the biggest competition for Skateboarding skills before the Olympics.

Rodrigo Afonso: “With the Olympics coming up, I can't no longer be claimed as the guy that can beat this Aaron kid. I'm going to end up winning this garbage silver medal that I deserve more than this. I deserve to be the gold medal champion.”

Jerald Overton: “The fact is he may represent the USA and you with Portugal, but you aren't going to let this loss affect you. This is something you will learn from, along with this small temper tantrum you're doing right now. I know how heartbroken I was when I lost skateboarding park gold to you when you were twelve years old, but I learned from it with my temper tantrum.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I wanted to be the best skateboarder in the world, more than just in the USA. It pisses me off that today was a curse. A sign I will always be second best skateboarder.”

Jerald Overton: “Here's a fact for you. Nobody is the best in the world in any sport; not even the greats of skateboarding are. You know damn well that Aaron guy isn't the best, but he was just on top of you today. That doesn't mean you can't bounce back at the Olympics and defeat him. Use this defeat you had today in the X-Games to be your biggest motivator to vary your skateboarding skills, even learn a few tricks or two.”

Rodrigo continuously shakes his head, still in disappointment, but at the same time, Jerald was doing everything he could to help Rodrigo grow up, the same way he had to learn from his other skateboarding friends when he lost the gold medal for the first time and he suddenly nodded directly at Jerald, trying to understand the situation of his past.

Jerald Overton: “Think of it this way: this is growth for you. Just because you lost, it doesn't mean the end of the world. Even if this loss was super close between you and Aaron, it's progress. After all, you learn nothing if you dominate all the time. Having this loss will be the best thing for you because there is always someone out there better than you, Aaron and everyone else. That's not just a lesson for you in Skateboarding or Wrestling in the future; that's a lesson for life.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “So being disappointed is alright?”

Jerald Overton: “Yes, but how you reacted to the loss isn't. I know the skateboarding committee leader will come in here and give you a telling-off, even if you're sixteen years old.”

Right at that moment of Rodrigo shaking his head, almost hitting his fellow competitor with the skateboard, the skateboarding committee leader came into Rodrigo's locker room, mostly to address the reaction of how Rodrigo addressed Aaron of the loss he had.

Skateboarding committee leader: “Kid, I know you're young, but you simply cannot throw skateboards at another person.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I was upset, alright? Disappointed at the loss and I got so angry in my body that I threw a board at Aaron without thinking. Two freaking points you cost me to win the gold medal.”

Skateboarding committee leader: “Do you honestly think we screwed you, boy? You know damn well we don't screw any competitor. Aaron performed a great run and a trick we've never seen in competition. While you, well, while your run was smooth and threw some new tricks, Aaron was a step better than you today. Take this as something you learn from the loss and how you react.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Again, I was disappointed in how the result came out. I was disappointed that I was no longer the top skateboarder in the world.”

Skateboarding committee leader: “I understand this is a hard loss to take in when you only lost by two points, but you never reacted the way you did with the skateboard throw and disregarded your fellow competitor with disrespect or not congratulating him or giving any praise is not the correct way to deal with things. Now, I hope you go to Aaron and not only apologise but to congratulate him.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “So you aren't giving me a punishment?”

Skateboarding committee leader: “Because you're still under eighteen, you're not getting punished for anything. Consider this as a warning and take this loss as a chance to grow into an even better skateboarder and do some inventions nobody has seen before. Don't lose your temper again because if I see that kind of action again, I will not only suspend you but fine you or your parents a lot of money, do you understand?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I understand, sir.”

Rodrigo nodded at the skateboarding committee leader and shook hands although if he were over eighteen, things would've been a lot worse if he was over eighteen. Still, it was a learning curve for Rodrigo and taking in what the skateboarding committee leader and Jerald said, he became silent for a while, thinking over everything that's been said to him. Rodrigo, five minutes later, said this.

Rodrigo Afonso: “I felt like I was a spoilt bitch.”

Jerald Overton: “You were entitled, let's say to win because you were on top, so yeah, you acted spoilt, but sometimes, we overreact to things without thinking about it. I hope you never react to something like this in both skateboarding and wrestling ever again, especially in two years' time; you're not going to be a little boy anymore; you'll be an adult, and you need to start acting like it.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I understand. I do want to grow up, and I will never act upon these actions ever again. I go and be a man to Aaron, apologise, and congratulate him on the medal.”

It was a hard but very valuable lesson he had always taken with him since that day, and it was why he will never ever act like he was entitled to win, along with not bitching or complaining because, as others said, it will get him nowhere and would hold back on his growth and progress. Rodrigo did the mature thing to go and find Aaron, who was sitting on the benches, disgusted with Rodrigo's actions and with Jerald at bay.

Rodrigo Afonso: “I apologise for trying to hurt you by throwing the skateboard.”

Aaron Wilkinson: “After I found out your age, it's alright. You're young, and we all do dumb things as kids.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Can't agree more. I just overreacted and didn't know how to take a loss and come back from it, but I learned my lesson now, and I won't do that ever again. You deserved the win today, congratulations.”

Both Aaron and Rodrigo shook hands as men they were. Well, Rodrigo had to try to act like a man over the loss and part of his reaction was because he was starting puberty that caused him to react, but at the same time, it was a lesson Rodrigo knows he will take not only for skateboarding but for wrestling career as well. Rodrigo left the skate park and shook hands with Jerald to go and meet with his parents, who gave Rodrigo a telling off, but they made things up and went out to eat somewhere for the night before they go back to the hotel and went to sleep.

--------------------------------------------------

Why did I bitch and complain after the loss to Peter and why the past helped me to grow and become a bigger star to capture medals/titles part 1 discussion. (On-Camera)

“So I know the question has to be asked. Why did I react the way I did after I lost to Peter Vaughn the first time? Well, it so happens to recall a moment where I did have a temper tantrum at sixteen years old when I lost the X-Games gold medal to a guy who was in his rookie year to being a professional skateboarder, Aaron Wilkinson. I was so mad that I threw my board at him and screamed the top of my voice as I was still a child two years ago. But I learned a lot from that day onwards I will take with me that I will never bitch, complain or overreact to any losses ever again both in skateboarding and wrestling.

I was disappointed obviously, but I didn't bitch, complain in many that would have and that's the thing about being in different sports is you learn quickly to grow and improve from the loss, just as the same as this match here. Fact is Peter, you know I didn't know what I was doing in the Roulette title match because I had never done hardcore wrestling before. I never touched a weapon in my life until our match. But now I've gotten a bit more experience, what you going to do now, knowing we're in terms of our abilities in the ring, we've got a lot in common there with what we do in the ring as you said with our high flying moves.

However, I hear you bitch and complain more than I ever did with the loss I had against you. Saying you shouldn't be facing this and that opponent. Maybe because I feel that Roulette title isn't helping you grow or progress in wrestling, it's actually holding you back. Sure, you lost the tag match, but that's the kind of opponents you should be facing, but because you hold the Roulette title, you aren't in the main event type matches.

Be it for me to point out that yes, you are a threat and you are a guy that could be a world champion someday, but you see Peter, I didn't bitch and moan about any of the losses I get. I get on with it, even if I was disappointed with the losses, the end of the day, I use them to grow and get better. Roulette title is the belt and division quite frankly I need to be in. Because the more I do these matches, the better I will be as a wrestler. The better I will be as a hardcore wrestler as well.

I already a step ahead of you pal of explaining where my name originated from, well my last name at least anyway, but it also happens because I'm from Portugal that speak in a Brazilian language. So my voice might be hard to understand because of my accent, but I've always wanted to be in the wrestling business, not to be following my family's footsteps. Skateboarding wasn't even in the Olympics when they started, they were gymnastic Olympic champions and I wanted to do something different to doing gymnastics, but one I could capture the gold medal that was more to my taste and that's when Skateboarding came in.

Especially it's viewed as a young people sport and it's still unknown what people can do with their runs and doing some crazy stunts and how long they can grid on skateboards. It's not even racing what I do, you're talking about BMX and Motocross where they have racing for that form, but I'm strictly a skateboarding stunt guy, along with being a professional wrestler because skateboarding and wrestling in many ways are alike. Difference is I don't use a board to wrestle. Everything else is vertically the same.

I don't really have a nickname in wrestling to attach onto yet because again, I'm still a rookie and unknown to the wrestling business. You can go around and say to everyone about how you aim to break the Roulette record, but how do you know you'll do that, because what you beat me last time? Just because you did, the results are never ever the same. Maybe you beat me one time for the Roulette title that I never asked, demanded, nor expected to go for, but who else would they put to face you?

Roulette title for me personally is the most challenging title to go for out of every single wrestling belt out there and why? Because as you said, you don't know what matches the Sin City Wrestling bosses will put us through. Could be anything and that for me is what's exciting about this division, especially it benefits me more than anyone in wrestling because I've only had one hardcore type match and it was against you. I guess Sin City Wrestling connected the dots of what I do in skateboarding to get hurt is no different from getting hurt with weapons in hardcore wrestling, just with weapons.

I feel honestly Peter, you are the one thing I should be that I'm not in this situation, desperate. Desperate to break records and did you know, that will cost you to win this match and the title seeing the pressure is more on you because I lose nothing if I lose to you which isn't going to happen. While a loss for you, you lost the title and the chance to break records of longest reign of Roulette title because nobody lasts forever.

So you see, I'm not going to be one of those guys that will say I'm desperate to win the title, but I'm also not saying I don't care either because either one of those positions can cost me to win the match and the title. It's about having the balance and that balance is going to be key of why I will win this match and become champion. I will throw everything, but the kitchen sink at you, that's for sure, especially well I could use a kitchen sink if I wanted to.

But I can't back up the fact I'm not coming in prepared for what hits us in terms of matches we'll have because I won't and I can't back up about lack of experience factor, but what I can back up on is that you're past it's sell by date to put it into words on you know damn well the Roulette title is holding you back. I mean, you said it yourself that you're tired of facing rookie wrestlers and it's because of the Roulette title.

Nothing has or will hold me back from winning the Roulette title because the title quite frankly needs to go to someone that is still new to wrestling, that would benefit facing rookies than you would as great of a champion you are of defending the title against nearly every opponent the SCW staff have thrown at you and being a great Roulette champion, one who really should be in the SCW title hunt. But I'm going to show you what I'm capable of and what I've learned in my growth of consistently improving and growing to be a much better wrestler than I am now. I will embarrass you because it would be an embarrassing loss for you to lose to a rookie wrestler in his fifth match for the title. Some could say the quickest title win ever as a rookie. But that you can see happening, right?

But I got to beat the so-called Mechanic who again have seen no evidence of being a mechanic in a garage or on race tracks and still wonder why you call yourself that you've not explained. It's a mystery like I still am a mystery to everyone on this roster who don't even speak about me because I get on with my job and deliver. But also get it because I'm too new and my feet are too wet to get them dry. You know by being a lot younger than you, I have more speed and ability which of course, we know, it doesn't always get us the win, but that's something you have to think about. Anyway, I will talk more later on in the week, I got some skateboarding demo videos to take care of.”

Cambridge, Massachusetts. Wednesday 27th September.

Rodrigo took a tough loss against Peter Vaughn last week for the Roulette title, but despite that, a lot of people, even his skateboarding buddies were praising Rodrigo for his performance against Peter, despite Rodrigo never taken part in any sort of hardcore wrestling match. However, he flew back to Switzerland last week to meet with a girl he slept with for the first night without really getting to know her. However, the first girl he had sexual contact with, even while drunk was the first person Rodrigo fell in love with.

He had never been in a relationship or had any sexual contact in his life until that night and the feelings developed really quickly. They spent time together in Switzerland before flying back to America to a place where Rodrigo lives in America, Cambridge, Massachusetts. It's one of the few places in America that didn't have any sort of weather disasters or wildfires taking place, as much as he fears fire because of how close he was to death and nobody apart from his family had ever seen Rodrigo's burned face.

Because he covered it with face paint all the time and it became a trademark that every little kid wanted to be Rodrigo both in skateboarding and slowly, the wrestling world as well. He wanted to do some skating for a while because he was also training to be in Rome, Italy next week to qualify for the Olympics again, but in vert competition.

Sometimes, Rodrigo like today didn't skate just in skate parks, he also skated in the public streets too to practice things he needed to work on with grinds down the stairs, kickflips over objects and even some manual stuff as well. He had spent all day skating around the streets of Cambridge, Massachusetts and it was almost six at night. His phone buzzed as he kicks up his skateboard and saw it was a text from his swizz girl, telling him to come home and spend time with her. He nodded before replying, I'll be there ASAP.

After the text he did, he places it back in his pocket and walked back to his home. It was the first time anyone apart from his family and his two closest skateboarding friends had been at Rodrigo's American home. He walked in and the swizz girl who had blonde hair with a red dress which was her favourite colour and was the same age it turns out as Rodrigo. He and the swizz girl hugged and  she cooked him a meal.

Rodrigo Afonso: “Oh you know what I like, Ella.”

Ella (Rodrigo's potential girlfriend): “Only the best for my friend.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Well, I want to talk about that actually.”

Ella: “Something wrong?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Not at all.”

Rodrigo smiled at Ella as she knows what Rodrigo does, even before they had sexual contact together that night in Switzerland, although she knew that Rodrigo was going to be very busy when it came to qualifying for the Olympics coming up, but she also knew about Rodrigo being a wrestler too. So that wasn't it, but what she doesn't know is Rodrigo's life outside of the world of wrestling and skateboarding. Ella looks confused as she saw how much Rodrigo was enjoying his chicken salad pasta as she scratched her head.

Ella: “What is it?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I've really enjoyed spending time with you the last few days, giving me some company, but you know that night we first met?”

Ella: “Yes?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “That was the first time I done anything like that with anyone in my life.”

Ella: “Wow, the way you acted towards me, even if you were drunk, it felt like you had experience with that.”

Rodrigo while he heard Ella, he was pretty hungry while having a smile on his face, sighing in relief that Ella's experience with Rodrigo was a huge boost of confidence. Although he had been disappointed with the loss with Peter Vaughn, at the same time, it was experience for Rodrigo he was gaining in wrestling.

Rodrigo Afonso: “Anyway, when I got back to the locker room, I had a feeling I never felt in my life, feeling I didn't feel I would have, feelings for you. All I kept thinking about after the match was you.”

Ella: “Ah, so that's why you came back to Switzerland to see me?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Yes and during that time away from you since after the match, I didn't want to go back to Portugal or England, I didn't even want to come back here, I wanted to see you. So I swapped tickets to go to Switzerland and see you.”

Ella: “It was a surprise you telling me to meet you outside the bar we first met. Didn't know it was on the day you arrived to Switzerland.”

Rodrigo nodded as he finished eating his chicken salad pasta and he watches Ella for a while, sparkling in her eyes that Rodrigo saw and he was a little nervous at first because he had never been in the situation he was and Ella was still wondering what Rodrigo had planned. As soon as Ella finished eating, he held her hand and stroked it.

Rodrigo Afonso: “I also been enjoying spending time with you so much that I need to ask you a question.”

Ella: “What's that?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Will you be my girlfriend?”

That was a tough thing for Rodrigo to say because part of him wanted to have a life and move on from being single that he's been in his entire life and wanted to grow up to be a man a lot more, but Ella lets go of Rodrigo's hand and disappeared, which Rodrigo was sighing, saying this as he did the washing up of the plates and cutlery.

Rodrigo Afonso: “Of course, it's too soon, right?”

Ella closed the door from somewhere in Rodrigo's apartment and Rodrigo with disappointment on his face after he put the plates, cutlery and all the cooking equipment out to dry on a drier, he sat down on the sofa and looked at the floor. Until Ella pulls Rodrigo's head up.

Ella: “Yes.”

Rodrigo then had a smile on his face as she sat on him and they passionately kissed for a while, celebrating the fact they were now together as love partners. Ella got off from Rodrigo and she asked him a question.

Ella: “Does that mean I get to see your other half of your face?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Well, I got no choice, have I?”

Ella: “I guess not. You thought I said no, didn't you? I needed to use the bathroom.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Oh right, makes sense. You're such a caring, likeable lady. I'm glad to have things come into place and feel happy to be with someone.”

Ella giggled, pretty much agreeing with Rodrigo in a sense that now, Rodrigo was going to have a supporter that was not only for his skateboarding career, but for his wrestling career as well. Ella had wondered because his house was so big, bigger than she had in Switzerland to ask a question about it.

Ella: “How did you afford this house at your age?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “I started skateboarding professionally at twelve years old and won my first gold medal a year later at X-Games and almost four years ago, won my first Olympic gold medal and I'm going to try and retain it next year.”

Ella: “Wow, so you only brought this house a few months ago then?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Yes, that's why my wrestling career was delayed cos I was focused on getting this house done up, along with getting my moves sorted out as well. So anyway, what do you do with your life?”

Ella was interested in Rodrigo's life that she didn't talk about herself at all, but knew that now, she had to because they were together and now were going to open up to each other's lives. Rodrigo couldn't stop staring into Ella's eyes, waiting for Ella to answer his question.

Ella: “I'm a sports star myself, I'm a ski jumper and I was the first woman in history to win the individual woman's ski jumping event.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Wow, I've always wanted to try snowboarding to be fair. Maybe we can do that together when I'm back in Switzerland next. That's so cool we got something in common.”

Ella: “That's why I wanted to be with you because of that factor we got in common. Although, I never watched wrestling, nor understand the sport, seeing it's not as big in Switzerland, well apart from that German guy in wrestling around.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Yeah, I know the guy you're on about. But not in the same company as me.”

Ella kissed Rodrigo again as they had their hands all over each other that time and let go of the kiss and Ella giggles again, proud to have Rodrigo as her boyfriend.

Ella: “Who's your next wrestling opponent?”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Bill Barnhart, the so called bulldog. He's been around SCW since near enough the beginning to be fair. He's far more on my level to be honest than Peter was.”

Ella: “Well, you didn't do too badly if at all against Peter. Sure you lost, but you came the closest of beating him and that's saying something when you've only had two matches before that match.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “Yeah, Lee told me what I could improve on with a bit more detail that I needed more hardcore wrestling experience and wrestling experience as a whole. But he told me I'm getting so much better already. Experience will always be a factor for me against all of these guys, but that's what makes me interesting to the rest, especially I would have to debut and start my wrestling career in an Indy company anyway.”

Ella smiles at Rodrigo, liking everything he said. He had respect for Eddie Lyons and now with Peter too, although some words did kind of sting from Peter, but he had to get used to that.

Ella: “I noticed you like punk rock music. That is totally my thing as well. While your wrestling career sounds interesting, I rather just go out, play arcade games together around here and then well, you know what.”

Rodrigo Afonso: “That sounds better than talking. Let's go.”

This would be their first date together as a couple, although they had done a lot of talking together and Rodrigo as he left the house asked Ella a question, while walking to a local arcades place known as Verses.

Rodrigo Afonso: “Would you like to watch me wrestle against Bill Barnhart in Sin City Wrestling in San Francisco, California this Sunday?”

Ella: “Oh yes sexy Rodrigo, I would. Now, lets go and play games against each other.”

Rodrigo nodded as they went inside of Verses and challenged each other to video games with driving and shooting games for three hours until closing time and went back to Rodrigo's place, watched a horror movie called scream and then went upstairs for private time together before they fell asleep with Ella wrapping her arms around Rodrigo.

------------------------------------

Rodrigo's shoot about beating a bulldog.

“I appreciate the opportunity that Sin City Wrestling gave me in only my third match here to go against Peter Vaughn. Mostly because as the title said last week, I didn't expect to have one. I got a lot of wrestling growth to do and I respect the hell out of Peter for giving me everything last week and beat me fair and square, especially after the actions he done with Eddie Lyons which I wasn't too happy with. But I gave everything I had and because of my lack of experience in both wrestling and hardcore matches, it cost me and I'm using it as growth to get better in wrestling.

Something I feel Bill doesn't seem to want to do. OK so I may have to be a little more brutal here because sometimes in life, you got to be brutally honest. I got to ask you a question Bill and I'm sure it's on everyone's mind. What do you actually want to achieve in Sin City Wrestling? What is your motivation to still want to compete? Because last I checked, you talk such utter nonsense about stuff unrelated to your opponents. I get it, you're a veteran and won the Roulette and the mixed tag titles, but is that all you've done since you've been around? I had my first ever title match in my third ever wrestling match in my entire life and I almost won. I'm not the one to talk about losses because I've had two losses in my time here as well, but the big difference between you and me is you're not a rookie, you should not be on the same level as me, should be above me, but you aren't.

You're stagnant to put it into words dude. While me on the other hand, I'm taking these losses and using them to better myself as a wrestler. Every match I compete in, it's growth to expend to my wrestling career. I want to respect you, but I can't. I heard you talk about not wanting to do risks because you don't want to get hurt. Then why are you a professional wrestler? If you want to do a sport that doesn't get you hurt, do golf, snooker, darts or bowls for a living. The fact you won't take risks because of that fear only shows you don't want to learn anything about your life, don't want to share your experiences.

Being in your comfort zone seems dull to me. I started taking risks at twelve years old with my skateboarding career and I got gold medals to prove that taking risks are worth it. Especially when it gathers you fans being behind you. I broken a lot of body parts even before I became a wrestler and I would jump out of the plane on a snowboard because I'd do that. I do anything to entertain the fans in both sports.

You were talking about taking part in contests. See, that's risk taking stuff there, but why are you feeding your dog pizza and lasagna? That stuff could kill dogs, should stick to having Isis eat dog food. There's nothing about you that speaks dedication to the sport, nor the fact you want to win titles again. I do and if I got the shot for the Roulette title again, I'd take it with both hands again and make sure I get the win next time around.

Talking about the size differences is so generic and outdated, honestly. That's the first thing you'll compare me to and trust me, I've heard it all before. But at the same time, you should know what I did with Troll who was bigger and stronger than me, right? I got a skill I use that you big wrestler's struggle with, submissions. I find every way submissions style to win the match as well as my high flying skills. Everything I have in my Arsenal, is your weakness Bill. So maybe you know, watch that match with Troll and see how I did.

I do want to address the point of what Afonso means. It's not related to that dancing dude at all. Afonso name means noble and ready. Which is exactly the attitude I always have when it comes to either one of the sports. The point is everything I've done is making a name for myself and if I was slacking off as you have, I'd leave the sports I take part in.

I even made Peter Vaughn being in the main event last week because I praised highly on his achievements and that's something you don't do enough of, nor do research on your opponents you face besides the size and weight advantage. How do you think I know you've lost to Goth and Jack, because I made stuff up? I researched it all.

I actually hate this shoot I'm doing because it's not me to be brutally honest like this, but I can't deny the truth about your lack of commitment of being a professional wrestler. You can compare dogs and sizes, I will just shut your mouth by doing everything I can with my submission holds to get you down and show you that bigger isn't always better. That underdogs and underrated wrestlers like me can win matches.

That's what I want to do and I'll prove it to you in the ring. I may not be much of a talker or much of a guy who does backstage stuff and talk on there, but I will wrestle and end the match for something everyone remembers. A loss unlike many wrestlers doesn't affect me, it only helps me grow and facing you will help me grow to being a threat someday around here. I will lock you in a submission hold and keep it there until you pass out or you tap out because that's always going to be my goal of beating bigger and stronger men like you.

You'll overlook me and I'll be alright with it because I expect people do and it will cost you more than you think. I'm a serious wrestler who respects Eddie Lyons for being my first opponent who'd give me a hard time and respect Peter Vaughn for proving what a great champion he is. You I kind of respect, but nothing like Eddie Lyons and Peter. I will defeat you in the ring and you can't do anything about it and if I lose to you, I will use that loss to grow into a bigger wrestler than you'll be in terms of stardom levels. See you in the ring Bill because I don't think the match will go the way you think it will.”

Lausanne, Switzerland. Saturday 9th September (Off-Camera)

Rodrigo didn't celebrate his win against Troll because he already had to focus on qualifying for the Olympics next year. Despite being a professional wrestler who could have wrestling matches while competing in the Olympics, his goals will never distract him from doing so. It was to qualify for the street Olympics competition, and Rodrigo reached the finals and won the whole thing.

But the one thing he had yet to do during his time in Switzerland was meet his skateboarding friends, whom he never had to meet on Twitter or any social media platform, more meeting them while skating in the streets of America. He was really close to Jerald Overton, who was a white skin guy with long blonde hair, wearing a backwards cap with trousers and a shirt he always wears while skating and another guy named Darius Brown, who had dark skin with black dreadlocks and also wearing a backwards cap with trousers and shirt.

They sat on a park bench opposite the street skateboarding park where they'd just finished qualifying for the Olympics. While his friends also made it through, Rodrigo won the entire competition. He sat to think while surrounding himself with his skateboarding buddies, who wanted to talk to Rodrigo about another sport he does.

Jerald Overton: "Seems like our advice from the past has paid off."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Oh, you mean wrestling when I fought against Troll?"

Darius Brown: "I told you avoiding social media platforms was a good idea. Although it would make you friends easier, it is still smart to only want to meet new people in person."

Rodrigo Afonso: "It is. I prefer it because I know who I'm connecting with rather than talking to someone behind a computer screen, not knowing what they'd be like in person. Just because someone's nice/nasty behind a computer screen doesn't mean they are/aren't offline. That's what I believe in."

Of course, Darius, in a way, didn't agree because Rodrigo still hadn't attempted to make any wrestler friends. Still, it will come in due time as he only had two matches so far, and he was focused more on winning a spot to qualify, which he did. However, he still was going to skate the next one in Rome, Italy, to qualify, only it was a park, although he still had to prepare in others to retain his spot.

Jerald Overton: "To think you're wrestling and qualifying for the Olympics with skateboarding is amazing. How many wrestlers would do two jobs while representing the world?"

Rodrigo Afonso: "They don't look like they would care for skateboarding. They are somewhat older than me. I think I'm the youngest on the roster. But there are a few things wrestling and skateboarding have in common. You feel pain, you can break bones and have blood and scars. You can do stunts. Everything I wanted to do."

Darius Brown: "It shows Rodrigo how much being a part of two sports means to you. After this, you got to go back to America and wrestle. Who will you face next on Sin City Wrestling Climax Control?"

Rodrigo Afonso: "I honestly don't know. It's way too early to face title holders; I haven't even specifically stated the champions as such because, honestly, right now, I'm not a threat to them. It would be ridiculous if I was given a title shot next week because there is no way one win would earn me a title shot."

Of course, Rodrigo forgot that Troll was a champion, but it wasn't a legit title he was holding. He disregarded that, especially when Troll named Rodrigo after a famous actor to whom there was no relation or even come close to relating to him. He smiles with the gold medal around his neck and drinks some Gatorade to hydrate himself, as do his skateboarding buddies.

Jerald Overton: "You really brought everything out of the bag, haven't you out there on the street today. Nailed some pretty gnarly tricks out there today and the entire week."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Oh, for sure. I've been developing new skateboarding moves like I have with wrestling moves, too. I just wish I could nail a move that I do in the wrestling ring that I can with a skateboard."

Darius Brown: "Maybe you could, with the moonsault you do, make that with a kickflip, and you'd get people talking, more so with a twist variation."

Rodrigo Afonso: "That would be one heck of an idea, and I will work on that when I get home."

It was an idea Darius said that got Rodrigo thinking; both sports were sort of alike, without the skateboard involved when it comes to wrestling, but at the same time, if he was put in Roulette matches, he would be able to use a skateboard as well as a weapon. But he'd need a lot of hardcore wrestling training for that.

Rodrigo Afonso: "Getting back to wrestling. I reckon I'll face someone like Bill Barnhart, Jaycee MacDonald or Miles Kasey. Because they are more on my level, to be honest."

Jerald Overton: "What if you get a title shot next week? Would you take it?"

Rodrigo Afonso: "It would be ridiculous because one win against Troll doesn't classify me as earning a title shot. Eddie Lyons was different because he was given a title contenders match in his second match and won that, but lost to Peter Vaughn. But I would because I have to."

Darius Brown: "You would have to because you need to take every opportunity you can get, even if it was undeserved; in Sin City Wrestling's eyes, they feel you have, even if you've only had two matches in your entire career. For you to win the title in your third match while everyone else has failed to defeat him is ridiculous in a good way."

Jerald Overton: "Besides, every champion doesn't know anything about you apart from the two videos you cut, and they were short. Honestly, I don't know what there is to say to hate about you since you're a rookie to wrestling, so they can't hate on you for making mistakes; you expect that."

Rodrigo nodded. He did own up to his mistakes in the ring against Eddie, and he didn't show a single bit of whining or crying like most wrestlers would; that wasn't Rodrigo primarily. He had grown up to learn to take losses thanks to skateboarding, especially two years ago in the X-Games, where he lost the gold medal by two points.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I know you guys are hyping me too much for a title shot, but I need to face the names I said I reckon I'll be facing first before getting into focusing on champions. Although I came close to getting one, according to my wrestling trainer at the last Super Show via voting on the Internet title, I had the fewest votes."

Jerald Overton: "Then they see potential, but yeah, you said you need to prove yourself, and I do agree, you do, but at the same time, you got respect from Eddie and usually, wrestlers like skateboarders don't give respect like that right away."

Rodrigo Afonso: "I will never forget Eddie because he made me a better wrestler despite the loss. I only lost because I had done showboating, which my trainer got angry at me for, but I corrected my mistake with Troll.

Darius Brown: "Regardless, you're doing great in the ring and street skateboarding world. You're having more fun than I've seen from you in a while. Anyway, we better get going; let's go out for food before we go for a drink tonight since we can technically go for drinks here, unlike in America, to celebrate your wrestling and skateboarding win."

Rodrigo Afonso: "I'd like that."

Darius, Jerald and Rodrigo stood up from the park bench and went to a swizz restaurant where they had regular drinks along with having the same meal and then went to a nightclub to have some drinks to the point that a lady approached Rodrigo and wanted to be with him for the night. They encountered something Rodrigo had never had: sexual contact while drunk, as he had seven beers to drink. He and a swizz girl slept together after that.

----------------------------------

London, England. Wednesday 13th September (Off-Camera)

It's been hard for Rodrigo to digest since he was told like his friends predicted, that he would face a champion, but he didn't know it would be this soon. Because of the announcement and Switzerland being nearer to England than the United States, he had to return to Bulldog Wrestling Academy school, where he trained all his career since Rodrigo was twelve. He still hadn't found a wrestling school, nor a wrestler in America that could teach him the ropes, especially in hardcore wrestling, which is usually what the Roulette title provides.

Rodrigo had no experience with weapons and hardcore wrestling, so all week long, Rodrigo, since Sunday, did nothing but hardcore wrestling every single day until today, which was the last day he'd do hardcore wrestling because he had to travel to America tomorrow. He learned all the weapons of knowing what to do and how to use them. It was intense training the last three days. Rodrigo was training with another wrestler who also had to learn how to do hardcore wrestling for a local indie show in England over the previous three days.

Rodrigo's trainer, Lee Baker, called for time, and he and another young kid who's the same age as Rodrigo stopped. The young kid shook Rodrigo's hand, and both left the ring. Lee told the bigger, younger wrestler he wanted to chat tomorrow. Lee said for Rodrigo to go into the office to talk. Rodrigo went into the locker room to grab a towel and a bottle of water to bring back and went into the office and closed the door, wiping sweat from his face, even if lots of face paint came off. He sat down opposite Lee Baker.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I got to be honest. I don't feel I earned this opportunity."

Lee Baker: "I do agree, to be honest, but you can't walk away from this shot. Sure, you've only had one win, but I think SCW want to see what people have got. It seems anybody joining SCW after a couple of matches gives wrestlers opportunities."

Rodrigo Afonso: "It seems like it. Maybe because they want rookies or new wrestlers to SCW to prove themselves."

Lee Baker: "After all, you're proving to be very underrated; you know what you wanted to be because nobody should be overrated wrestlers. So Peter may have more experience than you, but SCW staff feel you'd give him a hard time, even with your lack of hardcore wrestling experience, in case you get put into a hardcore match."

Rodrigo scratched his head a bit, even if he was more of a mystery than any other wrestler Peter Vaughn may have faced. In a way, the nerves were kicking in with Rodrigo due to the pressure of being in a wrestling title match he'd never been to in his life.

Lee Baker: "I see your nerves, kid, but you can't let Peter see that because the second he does, he will expose you and pray on it. Competing to win a wrestling championship is no different from competing in X-Games or Olympic gold medals with your skateboarding stunts. Just remember what you learnt in the loss two years ago in the X-Games and how you overreacted to the loss, but it was just by two points."

Rodrigo Afonso: "I did, yeah, and it still sucks to this day I did. But while I overreacted there, it still made me grow up a little faster; when I lost again a year later in X Games, I barely reacted. If I can do that then, I can do it now."

Lee Baker: "I know, but don't show any signs of doubt. You may think, and everyone will say you don't deserve it, but the SCW staff see something in you, and you're still a mystery people have yet to discover. With all the tools you have after the three days of training you've done with a fellow kid and me in the same shoes as you, I think you're more than ready for the title match."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Maybe I can get a little more creative with what I can do in the ring instead of just high-flying moves. I know Eddie brought the sledgehammer into the match because he wanted to win so badly, but Peter used it and I pretty much want to beat him for that since I have high amount of respect for Eddie.”

It wasn't anger, but the feeling because Rodrigo will never forget about his match with Eddie. He wanted to be friends with him at some point but be a bit later on; incredibly, he didn't know how to be friends with wrestlers without knowing they'd fight each other again at some point.

Lee Baker: "Sadly, it was part of the rules; there are no disqualifications in Roulette title matches; you can use weapons if you're randomly picked to do something like that in matches as they select matches on the wheel, and you do them in the match with Peter. If you win this match, you'll be the fastest rookie ever to win a title, and that's a major achievement, especially when Peter hasn't been beaten for the title yet."

Rodrigo Afonso: "I wonder why Peter Vaughn hasn't gone for the SCW title yet?"

Lee Baker: "Because he can't simultaneously hold the Roulette and the SCW title. He wants to break Alex Jones and Griffin Hawkins's records, former legends of SCW that aren't around anymore. The guy wrestles the same style as you, and he might be slightly bigger than you, but you always got technical wrestling tools to use on your hands, too."

Rodrigo Afonso: "It's been super handy to learn the technical and submission moves on big guys. It helped me against Troll. At the same time, he and Peter are two different wrestlers. Peter won't view me as a threat, and I'll understand because I've done nothing impressive to be on his radar."

Of course, it was the one thing Rodrigo had not to say about his unimpressive wrestling run. Still, there were only so many companies out there, apart from Sin City Wrestling, that would give him a realistic chance of starting his career compared to other big companies. Rodrigo wiped more sweat from his face and drank some more water.

Lee Baker: "But you must prove him and everyone else wrong. Prove yourself that you're on his level. Don't say you deserve it, no matter how much the truth is. You need to believe in yourself as always you'll win the match. I believe in you that you can do it. Go and give him everything you have. I also suggest you do extra gym work when you arrive in San Diego, California, to prepare for the biggest wrestling match of your life."

Rodrigo Afonso: "I got everything you're saying. Despite wanting to be an underrated wrestler, I won't let some fool ignore me. If he overlooks me, so be it; it's not my fault I'll become champion because he overlooked me. I hope to bring home the gold to be the best Roulette all forms of wrestling chosen champion."

Lee Baker: "I think I geared you up to be ready. That's more like it from where we were five minutes ago. Anyway, since you're ready to go to San Diego to do your first-ever title match in a very short time, you need to get packing to fly before you're not able to. You want to get rid of jet lag as soon as possible."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Believe me, I'll do just that. I give Peter everything I have, and if I spot anything he makes a mistake with or slips up somewhere, I will expose it and use it to my advantage to win. He's not going to pull the sledgehammer trick on me. Alright, I will see you next week, most likely."

Lee Baker: "Good luck, kid. You will need it against one of the toughest wrestlers in Sin City Wrestling. Take the opportunity and do your best."

Rodrigo drank more water before he finished it all and placed it in the bin as he shook Lee's hand and grabbed his towel to get in the shower and change to his regular clothes before he headed straight to the airport to fly to San Diego via Heathrow Airport.

-----------------------

Rodrigo's shoot about a shocking and unexpected opportunity.

“I got to admit, I'm really shocked about this unexpected title opportunity. I haven't even spoken about champions or titles at all since I got here because it was far too soon to consider anything like this. Anyway, I got that out of the way and address to Peter Vaughn. I know it's within the rules to use a sledgehammer, but you seem to be pretty proud how you almost ended a guy I have huge amount of respect for, Eddie Lyons in the head. Now granted, he brought the weapon into the match, but you still shouldn't have used it.

You've done a solid job as a Roulette Champion here with defending the belt everywhere you go, I'd even say you're a threat for the SCW World title because you're damn good in the ring and defeated every opponent that has been put in front of you so it means you're a great champion, but I got to be honest here. As much as you want to break records, I'm the only person that can break your run as the Roulette champion for you.

You won't do anything because sure, I have no experience, nor do I have any experience anything involving weapons or different match scenarios like you're other opponents have, but I want you to overestimate me because unlike others, that is what I prefer actually. I don't like to be known as an overrated wrestler with full of an massive ego, I prefer to be underrated and the underdog of wrestling and many wrestlers don't want to be in that position. I never appreciated the words you said about Eddie Lyons either. Because that dude is a guy I respect for giving it my all and a guy I will forever remember having my first ever wrestling match with. Sure I lost, but I gained a lot of experience from it.

Just like I will with you as well because if I see you slip up for a single second in the match, I will expose it and beat you down for it. I respect who you've gone against and won, but I wasn't apart of any of those matches. I never thought I'd be talking about winning a Roulette title in my third match, but I am and I will because despite what people say of me not earning it, I'm going to earn to win the title tomorrow night in San Diego, upsetting the odds and making people crazy.

Especially it would do huge for me both in a wrestling and skateboarding community. You may think you have all the tools and know everything about me. Well you don't because you're extremely limited apart from what I've said on camera via this shoot I'm doing. I've done three whole days training for hardcore and weapons part non fucking stop because I was never trained in that area, until Wednesday. Three whole days and I still think I could've done more training.

I never understood why you're called The Mechanic, considering I don't recall you fixing any form of transport of any kind. Maybe has something to do with wrestling skills, but why not call yourself The Technician or something to that extent? We might be on equal terms, but you're time as champion is past your expiry date and life goes on without Peter being champion.

I respect all your accomplishments of what you've done in other companies, but I will take the massive fight to you. I will do everything possible to get you beaten down because nobody has been able to do that yet. You aren't going to pull tricks on me because I've been used to bumps, bruises, broken bones my entire career so that's no different to wrestling.

Do everything you can to hurt me, but I always get back up and continue to wrestle as I continued to skateboard. Maybe I'll use my skateboard to bash you over the head with, maybe I use a steel chair or anything to get the win regardless. Because I will take every short cut and advantage to win the match, just like you will. I love this sport too much to think I let this opportunity slip.

You are the biggest threat I've ever fought, but I know at the same time, I must win the Roulette title from you. I will learn and gain a lot of experience from this match alone so I have more to gain than you do with me. I'll bring everything to my arsenal and pounding your face until I'm done with you to walk away from Sin City Wrestling Climax Control San Diego show as the new Roulette champion because this title is for up and comers and I'm that guy.

You're not and belong in the SCW World title division and that's me being honest Peter because I view you as the top guy here, but not the top Roulette champion. It doesn't matter what you'll say to me, I will do everything to get that win and get that title in my hands and do a lot more with this title like defending the belt every single Climax Control and Super Show whether I'm broken and battered or not.

The era of Afonso is going to start after Sunday when I pin you for the win because you underestimated me and being the underrated and underdog wrestler, I will put you into dust, whelther you're bleeding or bruised or not, you better not be hiding and cowering away when I face you for that title you hold so much to as your treasure since nobody else has been able to beat you. You all will see that Peter's famous legacy of the Roulette title will end by me.”

Supercard Archives / Re: THE TROLL v RODRIGO AFONSO
« on: August 25, 2023, 10:09:45 PM »
Lisbon, Portugal. Wednesday 16th August. (Off-Camera)

Rodrigo was back in his home country because it had been a while since he saw his family. They had been busy training for the Olympics in Paris next year, much like Rodrigo had, well he did a bit of training with his skateboard in his home town, being that's what he's famous for. Of course, Rodrigo had another sport to compete in to show off his high-flying skills a lot more: wrestling. Of course, they spent a lot of money on Rodrigo travelling back and forth with a wrestling school in the United Kingdom as it was the only place he could get his start in the wrestling world in Europe due to no wrestling schools in Portugal.

They have been very supportive of Rodrigo in whatever he chooses to do. In fact, Rodrigo was the only member of the family that wanted to go outside of the gymnastics stuff. Rodrigo's parents were proud of him for doing something different and that he was a gold medallist in the X-Games skateboarding street event, and he had to start travelling around the world again for Skateboarding Olympics qualifiers.

But that accomplishment wasn't why he was back home; although he was proud of being an X-Games gold medallist, Rodrigo knew he had yet to tell his parents about the other sport he had done recently. Today was that day in a small apartment with his parents, Rodrigo, his older brother, Jose and his sister, Benedita, which makes Rodrigo the youngest of the three siblings who visited them and Rodrigo. Although they had their own lives, Rodrigo was the only one who lived outside of Portugal and the only one not doing gymnastics.

They sat in the living room, as they had just finished working out in the gym, Rodrigo included, as he did need to train for wrestling, knowing he had to push himself harder than ever. Rodrigo knew he was expecting a phone call from his trainer sometime in the next two weeks. However, his mother, Clara, hugged Rodrigo, while his father, Miguel Afonso, looked on, but he also hugged Rodrigo. They all sat down on the large sofa.

Clara Afonso (Rodrigo's mother): "We're so proud you won the X-Games gold medal at skateboarding street. Fantastic job well done."

Miguel Afonso (Rodrigo's father): "I was so excited watching you do your stuff with your skateboard and walk away with this fantastic-looking gold medal. I suppose that's what you came here to show us, right?"

Rodrigo Afonso: “No, not at all. I came with it to show you, but I still need to come. It was nice to see how all of you are dedicated to still being Olympic gymnastics champions, and I'm still going to compete in the Paris Olympics with the skateboarding street gold, no matter what."

Clara Afonso: "Oh, your other sport, wrestling, right?"

Rodrigo nodded as he never felt more at home than he is currently with his family, more his parents, as he interacted with his brother Jose and his sister Benedita a lot the last few days. Everything until now had surrounded Rodrigo as a skateboarder and the only one doing so with face paint. Even at his parent's home, he wore face paint.

Rodrigo Afonso: "You know how much I appreciate you both taking me to the wrestling school every time there was a school holiday. The hard work of that has finally paid off. I've signed to Sin City Wrestling, a small Indy company in Las Vegas, Nevada, that needed male wrestlers."

Miguel Afonso: "Oh wow, that is major news. I'm so happy for you, and it doesn't matter if Sin City Wrestling isn't a mainstream company; you usually get your start in an Indy company anyway in the professional wrestling world."

Rodrigo Afonso: "For someone who doesn't religiously follow the sport, you certainly know that part very well."

Clara Afonso: "Because your dad knows how much wrestling means to you. I wish you told us sooner so we could find a way to watch on television."

Rodrigo Afonso: "It happened so fast; I signed a contract and got a match the next week. On top of the X-Games, I had no time to tell you both. Also, I don't believe you can watch this company on TV. It's all exclusively online on scwrestling.net with a small fee to pay to watch the Climax Control shows and the Super Shows."

All of Rodrigo's family, including his brother and sister, came downstairs and heard everything as the walls were thin and you could listen to everything in the house; it's why Rodrigo left to live in America as well because there was no privacy and he wanted that, on top of having to live in America anyway because of his skateboarding career. They decided to come downstairs and sit on the sofa, too.

Jose Afonso (Rodrigo's brother): "That's so awesome. I'm glad you can live your dreams of being a professional wrestler."

Benedita Afonso (Rodrigo's sister): "Shame you had to wait until you were eighteen to be a professional wrestler, though."

Miguel Afonso: "But it's how it is in professional wrestling. I will pay a small fee to watch the shows for all of us to watch your wrestling career unfold. So, who was your first opponent?"

Rodrigo Afonso: "A very experienced guy who also was making his debut on the show, Eddie Lyons. I have a lot of respect for that dude, especially after our match. Although part of me feels a little jealous, he got more attention than I did with the match. Because he got given a title opportunity after that match and won it to get a title shot for the Super Show. He's a good dude, and he beat me because he had more experience than me in the ring. I'm proud of him for sure."

That only made things painful for Rodrigo to know Eddie led the win to get a shot for the title, while Rodrigo had been left in the dark, not being booked on the Climax Control show. That had hurt, and he needed a lot of matches to be better as a wrestler instead of going backstage and talking because there wasn't anything to talk about other than disappointment.

Jose Afonso: "That's the thing you have to take in; nobody was expecting you to win as hard as it is for me to say that, but you performed to your best and sure, you lost, but remember it's because you lacked experience."

Rodrigo Afonso: "I know it was because of that, but there wasn't anywhere else I could go to get my start. Knowing I had no matches under my belt, I didn't want to start in a big company. I'm just frustrated."

Clara Afonso: "Losses are a good thing to have. It's OK to slip up, especially since everyone saw what you did. Maybe you made mistakes in the match, but you will learn to improve, making you a better wrestler."

His family were right, of course; they were super supportive, which was unusual in family homes, but simultaneously, all within their own right, including Rodrigo, were Olympic champions. They all supported their gymnastics quest of capturing more Olympic gold; for Rodrigo, it was to capture the Skateboarding Gold medal again.

Rodrigo Afonso: "Although I'm booked against The Troll, the internet kind on the next Sin City Wrestling show, what do I say to the guy when he's won a match and I haven't?"

Miguel Afonso: "I can see why you're more disappointed now, but this guy doesn't seem like a dedicated wrestler. Seems to care from the name alone, trolling other wrestlers on Twitter."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Which is why I will never join Twitter. Joining on there would feed into him and would make him win the match. My skateboarding buddies taught me a lot not to feed the Troll of them saying vile things about you. You ignore it, and they'll go away. Many SCW wrestlers are on Twitter, but I refuse to create a Twitter account and tweet. It's not my style, and I never felt it had any benefit to being on there."

Jose Afonso: "But you can make friends easily on there."

Rodrigo sighed, and he shook his head.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I prefer to make friends in person. I don't see the need to have Twitter to promote skateboarding and wrestling when there are other alternatives to doing so. Besides, a lot of people promote my stuff online for me anyway. I don't know how to approach Troll when he's on a winning streak, and I've got no wins to my name."

Clara Afonso: "Maybe just acknowledge that was your first match and you lost, sure, but you will learn from the loss to make yourself a better wrestler. You worked out harder than any of us, which is the start of your desire to grow as a wrestler. That's all you got to say on it."

Miguel Afonso: "Just remember, you're a rookie compared to all the wrestlers in Sin City Wrestling and don't allow Troll to pray in on your disappointment. The problem is these wrestlers always have family legacies to get them where they are in the sport. You don't have that in wrestling, and there's no pressure to perform."

Rodrigo nods, agreeing with his parents about what they said about taking losses as a way to improve his wrestling. Although Rodrigo knew the family weren't wrong either, there were a lot of family legacies and wrestlers associated with other wrestlers to make them stars. Rodrigo had none of that, and he didn't have a wrestling school he could go to in America, as he needed help finding one in his area.

Rodrigo Afonso: "You're right; I'm due for a phone call with my trainer next week as I have to get to Mexico to wrestle Troll. So, there is no time for him or me to meet up and get more info on this Troll guy, as apart from the win against Max Steele and the fact Goth handed him a title over winning a match, I have limited info on him."

Miguel Afonso: "No matter what happens, whether you'll win or lose, we're proud you've finally accomplished your dreams of being a professional wrestler, even if you had a rocky start."

Benedita Afonso: "Keep working hard, and you'll become a wrestling champion and the Olympic and X-Games champion."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Oh, I will."

Rodrigo needed that support. He didn't know how to react to a loss in a wrestling match because he was never trained to deal with the losses. Rodrigo knew he would get losses but didn't know how to cope because he wouldn't be one wrestler who whined and cried about the loss. He did need to tell his family about him starting his wrestling career and what happened with the match. They went out as a family and spent the entire two days together before Rodrigo had to fly to Mexico, where he did a lot of training, both with wrestling and skateboarding in the gym and outside in public with his skateboarding stunts.

Rodrigo already knew where he would do his video for his match against The Troll on Saturday. But that was then; this was now as he'd just finished doing scuba diving in the Cozumel, something risk-taking Rodrigo hadn't done, and he enjoyed being so close to the sharks, providing that other swimmers were with him. However, he was back at the hotel, which was a small-budget one, as Sin City Wrestling doesn't go to expensive hotels because they are a small Indy wrestling company.

He got a text from his wrestling trainer, Lee Baker, saying he would call Rodrigo later when the time suits him and for Lee. It was now time for that call, and it will be about his match with Eddie Lyons. Although the support from his family was friendly and convincing, Lee knew more than anyone what Rodrigo needed to improve on. He knew the loss was a disappointment for Rodrigo, but he was told by his family what it meant and what to do to combat it. His mobile rings, and he answers it while sitting on his bed, watching a skateboarding movie on DVD with subtitles.

Rodrigo Afonso: "Lee, how are you doing?"

Lee Baker: "I'm doing well, and the school is doing well too. Got a lot of new students since they discovered you wrestle in Sin City Wrestling now."

Rodrigo Afonso: "That's great to hear."

Lee Baker: "Now, let's talk about your match with Eddie Lyons before we get down to discussing your opponent. You need to showboat a lot less because it can come across as disrespectful to some wrestlers. Granted, I know it was a way for you to hide your nerves, but I want to see none of that when you wrestle next."

Rodrigo was silent, listening and watching the skateboarding film he brought from his home.

Lee Baker: "That was why Eddie got a little disappointed with you. Understandably, you were trying to play with the crowd. But you can do that before and after the match. Other than that, there wasn't much else you could improve on. You were defeated because of your lack of experience."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Yeah, that's what I thought."

Lee Baker: "Don't let this disappointment affect you. Making mistakes is a good thing; it's growth for you. Nobody likes a wrestler going on undefeated streaks without learning anything."

Rodrigo nodded and responded yes, so Lee knew he was still there. Rodrigo drank some fresh water from a metal bottle he brought in Mexico as he didn't trust the tap water in Mexico.

Lee Baker: "However, you still need to work on the technical skills you had on bigger men, and that will be your goal this week with facing The Troll. I know it might be embarrassing to face an internet troll."

Rodrigo Afonso: "He's not a joke Lee. The stuff he does online to other wrestlers is, but I can't shake off the feeling he will brag about winning a match, and I haven't."

Lee Baker: "Wow, you are approaching this with a better mind than I would with an opponent like The Troll. That is ingenious thinking to take him seriously. Seeing you don't have Twitter, you know when Calvin Harris said there will be an internet poll for the title?"

Rodrigo said yes on the phone, even though it hurt that Calvin thought nothing of Rodrigo as a newer wrestling star than Braddock. However, he quickly shook it off and stated this.

Lee Baker: "You were one of the names listed on that pole. Sadly, you came last but would've had a title shot if you had more votes. The fact SCW was considering to put you in a title match that quickly was pretty fast, I must admit."

Rodrigo Afonso: "I wasn't aware of this."

Lee Baker: "You wouldn't be because you're not on Twitter. This is a good thing, as I heard from someone you want nothing to do with Twitter."

Rodrigo Afonso: "No, I don't because if I wanted to meet with people, I do it in person, not on Twitter. I never thought it had any use for skateboarding or wrestling. I have my fans already, and I'm ignoring that Troll even exists from my skateboarding friends telling me ignoring trolls is the best solution."

Lee clapped over the phone, knowing that Rodrigo was an intelligent guy about many things today, and it surprised him. Rodrigo smiled, and it felt like Lee was recognising Rodrigo's plan.

Lee Baker: "Wow, you really are on the ball. Anyway, I let you go because it seems you have all things figured out and let you study more of Troll in your own time. Have some fun in Mexico, as well as doing your skateboarding stuff."

Rodrigo Afonso: "I went scuba diving today and am planning to go kayaking tomorrow and then the video and doing some skateboarding on Saturday.

Lee Baker: "Good, I'm glad you're being active. Anyway, I got to go to sleep. We'll chat more on Sunday to give you some pointers. Good luck."

Rodrigo and Lee said goodbye to each other and put the phone down, knowing it wasn't entirely what he did wrong, but he accepted the mistakes he made in the match, lack of experience and his showboating stuff. Rodrigo knew he had to work on not showboating so much anymore and take wrestling more seriously. Rodrigo turned the sound back on, turned the subtitles off, and continued watching his skateboarding film. After that, he went to the gym to work for a couple more hours after working out earlier and then headed off to bed.

Yucatan, Mexico. Saturday 26th August. (On-Camera)

Cameras open to Rodrigo Afonso being seen skateboarding, and he surprised himself to find a skate park from a brief internet search known as Parque de la Alemán, which wasn't far from where he would wrestle tomorrow night. Of course, it was who Rodrigo was all about, none of the sitting or standing behind a background indoors talking. He even got a microphone attached to his left ear to speak while skating, and the video was played on his mobile phone.

Rodrigo Afonso: "First of all, before I address my opponent for this week, let me appreciate Eddie Lyons for giving me a tough fight, but while I lost, I'm not going to be one of those guys who whines and cries about a loss. This loss is a personal growth for me, and the fact I lost to a respected wrestler means a lot for my growth. Admittedly, I'm disappointed I didn't win, but at the same time, I knew I didn't say much about what I wanted to do in Sin City Wrestling because I'd rather let them come to me than state what I wanted."

Rodrigo was nodding his head with pure honesty as he grinded on the pipe and even on the benches.

Rodrigo Afonso: "However, now I address The Troll. The Troll is someone, unlike many wrestlers, I will take seriously. Because I got no choice, to be honest, because he's already got a win and I haven't. He is someone who is a threat because of that. He beat Max Steele, received a title by Goth, and is part of The Saviours. I'm not sure if you consider Internet Trolls like him a saviour. I didn't want to play the response game because you'll never win against him in a battle of words war."

Rodrigo paused as he stopped skating for a bit and drank some water. Breathes in and out before he continues to skate again.

Rodrigo Afonso: "The best thing my skateboarding buddies told me, as they have Twitter accounts long ago, is to ignore trolls. That's why I won't ever go on Twitter to make an account because I find Twitter useless for wrestling and skateboarding, and the guy will pick on you nonstop. There's no benefit from using Twitter other than getting a living from their mum's basement-type people like The Troll bothering you. I never understand why wrestlers respond to him when it's easy to ignore him."

He shakes his head at wrestlers getting easily agonised by The Troll.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I know I made many mistakes in my wrestling debut, and I understand I'd get picked on for it, but it's personal growth for me. I've been busting my ass in the gym daily for four hours to get better. To get stronger and improve on that. Especially that will come in handy against a guy bigger than me. Many people say they don't want to be the underdog, but I do because I don't feel pressure that way. I didn't acknowledge like in a way Eddie did on making an impact in wrestling as well as I've already done in skateboarding."

He pauses again as he took a break from skating and drank water. He sat down on the ramp for twenty minutes, thinking about the title The Troll holds, and then he returned to skate again.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I want to say congratulations on your title, but I feel that's more of a win participation title. Many people wouldn't take that seriously, and I don't on that part because you didn't earn the title. You earned the win for sure, even if it was controversial, but you still won. However, I want to be the guy who can and will prove you wrong by using all my technical skills to take down a big man who can trap him in a submission hold to get him down because I was trained in that style for that purpose. I want to get that whole you beat me because you're bigger than me out of the way."

Rodrigo sighed, knowing he hated to be brutal in a way he had because it wasn't him, but he had to tell the truth.

Rodrigo Afonso: "The loss will be turned into a win this time around, especially since this is the first-ever Super Show I've ever been a part of, and I know my skateboarding fans and skaters want me to win this match because they and my trainer back in the United Kingdom know how much I've been working hard to improve on my strength along with watching the match with Eddie over and over again to acknowledge I won't make the mistakes I did again."

He closes his eyes after he stops skateboarding and feels the wind blowing in his face; you can still see the face paint on his face.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I will prove how much that has paid off by beating you in the ring for a three count, despite me taking you seriously because of the winning factor you have. I want to prove to everyone in Sin City Wrestling that I'm here to stay and will be the better wrestler in this match. Why? To prove to everyone and myself I'll pose a threat to you, and if you decide to put that win participation belt on the line, so be it. Still, I aim to win and continue to be the underdog everyone views me as since nobody, apart from Eddie Lyons, has acknowledged me as a wrestler that's a threat yet."

Everyone knew Rodrigo would be a huge fan favourite if he pulled this off and won in only his second match. He continues to skate for the last time.

Rodrigo Afonso: "But they will when I beat you, and my ignoring everything you've ever said to wrestlers works because wrestlers need to learn to ignore you, and trolls will eventually leave the sport, and you will be gone. I will beat you down for the wrestlers you've ever upset and being a bigger kid to do so, and I know every wrestler will get behind me, especially the wrestling gymnastics stuff I can do. I will be winning because I will show I will not make the mistake of showboating in my match and take you seriously, so you have no chance to win the match because it will be me, even with the Saviours being behind your back, it won't do a thing to stop me from beating you down and win."

Rodrigo finished his video for the match as he continued to skate after the camera on his phone stopped recording from a button he pressed on his headset microphone.

London, England. Friday 14th July (Off-Camera)

The Mecca of European professional wrestling is located in England, and sadly, Rodrigo had no choice but to fly there to make his dreams come true. Of course, he had been training at the wrestling school since he was twelve years old. However, he mostly came during either half term or school holidays because he still went to school in Portugal and always saved money each time to fly to England to get lessons, or if he couldn't get enough money saved in time, his parents paid for the trip.

Due to his size, Rodrigo wasn't the kind of kid that would be trained to be a professional wrestler. Still, they exempted Rodrigo when he kept trying to be ready and showing up, especially coming from a country outside the United Kingdom and Ireland.

His trainer, Lee Baker, had always been high on Rodrigo, and this was all a week before he had to go to the United States for the X-Games Skateboarding Street competition. However, Rodrigo was also going to attempt Skateboarding Vert to qualify as he had been practising back at his Lisbon home as his parents made a skateboarding park for him.

However, while he loved skateboarding and it did manage to get him the house he needed in America, he lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, which he brought a few months ago as it was cheap, but at the same time, a place where there'd be no hurricanes taking place. Inside the Bulldog Wrestling Academy were Rodrigo and Lee Baker inside a large office for a short discussion after years of hard work.

Lee Baker: "Now you're eighteen, you can make your own path as a wrestler."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Finally, after all these years of being here, along with my other sport, I still do because I could do that at a young age."

Lee Baker: "I realise you're doing X-Games next week, but you can always come back here anytime to get the extensive training you'll need. Just because you won't be here as much anymore doesn't mean you're not allowed back."

Rodrigo Afonso: "I was concerned about that, but glad I can return and rework things I need to do. I did discover recently that while there are so many wrestling companies to pick from in America, there is one in particular from Las Vegas I discovered online that are desperate for male wrestlers, Sin City Wrestling. What do you think of me joining there?"

There were a lot of wrestling companies in America, that's given, and obviously, Mexico nor Japan were suitable places for him because he couldn't speak the Spanish or Japanese language, only Portuguese/Brazilian and English. What many people remember about Rodrigo was that he wasn't a British wrestler, and being a wrestler who wanted to live his dream from Portugal did make him stand out; heck, there's a Portuguese flag to represent Rodrigo. Lee went to look at the company, Rodrigo stated.

Lee Baker: "I can see why. They do need male wrestlers especially, and they seem to have an outstanding reputation, despite the gender separation they have, but I like to think that's pretty realistic. It makes it even more challenging for you to beat the bigger guys as a small guy."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Yeah, don't remind me."

Lee Baker: "Being a small guy, as I keep saying to you, is not that bad. I get it because your family are more known for being gymnastics Olympic champions. It's wise of you to go out of your way to fit in the family mould of being a gymnastics champion and know that skateboarding in the Olympics was significant for you, even taking an interest in you doing stunts.

Rodrigo Afonso: "It's why I took an interest in wrestling because I love the stunts the smaller wrestlers get to do, and I feel that is more like gymnastics more than anything."

Lee nodded in agreement with Rodrigo, and even he couldn't understand why more people from the gymnastics world didn't think to take part in the wrestling business. Granted, Rodrigo wasn't a gymnastics guy, but he came from a family that all but him were gymnastics Olympic champions. Lee looked more into the site and the company history and nodded.

Lee Baker: "You have my permission to complete a form to get you into the company. I also think they lack small-guy wrestlers and good guys, and you're perfect for them. I suggest you contact Christian Underwood and get a request to sign a contract. Sin City Wrestling seems professional, and I know they will take you seriously."

Rodrigo Afonso: "That's what I thought, and I may go to another wrestling school over there to see what I could combine my high flying and technical wrestling skills I have, although my technical skills are more based on how to handle bigger wrestlers than myself and based on the traditional European wrestling style."

Lee Baker: "Yes, but I still want you to have skateboarding attached to you because that will make you stand out from every other wrestler in that company."

Rodrigo Afonso: "Oh no, I'm never retiring from skateboarding or my dreams of getting another Olympic gold medal in Paris next year. I know my skateboarding fans won't be happy with me. I will always do it and attach this face paint on my face while doing skateboarding and wrestling professionally."

The other thing that made Rodrigo stand out from his Portuguese accent and size was his face paint. It was his trademark, and he was the only guy in skateboarding history that not only became a skateboarding champion from Portugal but was the only one to achieve that with face paint on his face. Even in interviews and Olympic opening and closing ceremonies, everyone knew who Rodrigo was and could tell it was him from the face paint.

Lee Baker: "Never allow anyone to tell you differently, although I know the actual reason why you wear the face paint. There are wrestlers out there who are themselves at the same time."

Rodrigo Afonso: "I don't care what they say. I'm ignoring every criticism I get about my face paint and my skateboarding/wrestling lifestyle, but at the same time, if they beat the hell out of me and say something else about me, I will be pushing right back, which I'm not afraid of doing."

Lee Baker: "Anyway, you have my permission to sign with Sin City Wrestling and the freedom of coming back here at any time to continue on things you may need to work on. You are ready to become a professional wrestler. Also, if you lose your first match, don't feel too bad about it because highly anyone expects you to win in your first professional match-up."

Rodrigo Afonso: "It's fine; normally, people lose their first match, especially when my opponent is bound to be an experienced wrestler."

Lee Baker: "Exactly. Just relax, and the wins will eventually come to you. Good luck with your debut in Sin City Wrestling. I will at least be watching you. I will tell the others to watch your first match too."

Rodrigo nodded and shook Lee's hand; after researching Sin City Wrestling and approving of him being in the company to wrestle his first match, he got his things and left the Bulldog Wrestling Academy for the last time, at least as a full-time trainee. He got his skateboard and skated to his hired apartment he was staying in for a bit. Then he flew straight back to Cambridge, Massachusetts, the next day.

--------------------------------------

Cambridge, Massachusetts. Tuesday 1st August (On-Camera)

Cameras open to Rodrigo grinding down the stairs and doing many lip tricks on benches and tables in a local skate park he had found a month after he moved, with his face paint on. You can see the gold and bronze medals of his success in the X Games this year. He does a handstand on the ramp, then does another grind trick on the railing, and then goes up the ramp, and the magazine and sponsors stop filming Rodrigo and put his thumbs up at them. He leaves the skate park and sits on the benches, facing right opposite the skate park. He pulls the phone out of his pocket and goes live on his youtube channel that either he or his social media crew film for him when he does his skateboarding skills.

Rodrigo Afonso: "Usually, wrestlers sit or stand behind a Sin City Wrestling banner behind them and talk. However, that isn't what I'll do because that's not who I am, and I will never be a robot kind of guy. I'm Rodrigo Afonso, from Lisbon, Portugal, with all my family members being well known for being gymnastics Olympic champions. I recently belonged to the family list of an Olympic champion back in twenty-one as the skateboarding street gold medallist. See where I'm going with this? That's right, I became a professional wrestler because I loved the varied gymnastics you could do in a ring instead of doing varied disciples of stuff you have to do."

That made Rodrigo special as he took a quick breath in and out.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I'm not the typical made wrestler, and my opponent Eddie Lyons will see that style along with being a high flyer. I know the guy has had experienced being in the wrestling ring already, and already, being in a family of wrestlers, I say that's respectful. But then again, coming from America, the easiest country in the world to get into professional wrestling with so many wrestling schools located here. I had to go to the Mecca of Professional Wrestling in Europe, London, England, to get wrestling training there because Portugal, for now at least, isn't well known for wrestling."

Rodrigo nodded, being as serious as he could be, focused on the camera.

Rodrigo Afonso: "Now, Eddie, I heard you're a respectful guy; I like to think I am too. I won't speak badly to you because I don't know you apart from what I know. It's a shame your PWE career was short-lived due to a company closing down. But you got another chance to make a name for yourself with your family."

There was a local drinks machine at the outdoor gym he saw. Rodrigo walks to the outdoor gym, puts money in the machine to get himself a sports Gatorade drink, returns to take the cap off, and sips some of it down after an exhausting day at the skate park. He continues with the video.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I, on the other hand, have no experience with this sport; I have had zero matches, this match with you in Peru is my first ever match professionally. I've been training all this time and only recently turned eighteen years old as I wasn't allowed to join the sport earlier, but I'm already well known for my skateboarding career, even with this face paint on. Why do I have it? Because I saw flashes of death in my eyes when I was ten years old and almost died in a house fire, until at the last second, after coughing fumes from the fire, I was pulled by fire officers to get me out of the house. Was a scary moment for sure for me."

It was hard, and he did fear fire because of his past, and the face paint attached to him was trying to help him overcome that emotional attachment. He shook his head.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I don't know what to expect coming from a guy who seems to be a well-rounded wrestler, something I couldn't be because of my size, but saying that, I got high-flying skills suited for me and other smaller wrestlers, but at the same time, due to how much Europeans value this technique, my wrestling school in London, England taught me to do technical wrestling moves also to use it against bigger guys mostly."

It was mostly going to be short and brief, as most debuts are, because wrestlers need to learn more about each other, although people know more about Eddie than Rodrigo in professional wrestling.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I already know how much this match will mean to the both of us, more me because this is my first match in professional wrestling history. I know many wrestlers have had matches before, but I haven't. I'm looking forward to facing everyone on the male roster; some I grew up watching like J2H, the Harris family, Goth, who I heard is coming back soon, Austin James Mercer, Alex Jones, and a wrestler I was inspired by that everyone talks about in Bulldog Wrestling Academy who's the main star for England, Miles Kasey."

Nodding his head, knowing Miles Kasey would be the guy Rodrigo would love to face the most because of having the same wrestling styles as each other. He took another two sips of his Gatorade drink.

Rodrigo Afonso: "I know Eddie Lyons and I will bring the best out of each other and make this the best debut match Sin City Wrestling has ever had because although we both are serious wrestlers, the pressure is more on Eddie than for me because of his world-class wrestling experience. I've never been to Peru before, and although I'm not there yet, I'm going there tomorrow and doing all the gym and skateboarding workouts I can to prepare for this tough match I know I will be in with Eddie. I don't need to say I hope because I know he'll bring out the best in me, and I'll gain a ton of wrestling experience just from this match alone."

He hadn't thought about winning because this match was more or less a trial for Rodrigo in his mind, but at the same time, he knew the loss wouldn't affect him nearly as much as it would for Eddie.

Rodrigo Afonso: "What I do hope for is to win the match, obviously, but more or less to gain so much experience by wrestling you and to grow and improve from this opening match we will have. However, I need to win so my country, Portugal, can grow and inspire wrestlers to get their mark made. Because many people neglect wrestlers coming from Europe outside the UK and Ireland. I'm only focusing on this match and bringing the win home for Portugal and myself. Good luck, Eddie, because you will need it."

That was all Rodrigo had to say because he needed more information on Eddie Lyons, and Eddie didn't have any info about Rodrigo. The pressure Rodrigo knew was more on Eddie than him due to experience. Until Sunday night in Peru, nobody truly knew what Rodrigo could do in the wrestling ring, which would be essential for the kid. The camera goes black.
