“Sun, sea and stealing the show!”
« on: September 06, 2019, 08:48:49 PM »
Summer XXXTreme was a roaring success for SCW especially now that Team Hero had returned to the promotion full time and several new champions had been crowned, one of those new champions was Metal and Punk Connection member Senor Vinnie who had finally achieved his dream of becoming the new SCW World Heavyweight Champion by dethroning Austin James Mercer in the Main Event, whilst the other members of the group didn’t have the same success that night having the current champion in their ranks was a huge boost to the Metal and Punk Connection.

So huge in fact that the bosses have booked a potential Match of the Year Candidate for the first show of the High Stakes VIII touring cycle which would SCW through the Bahamas as Vinnie was teaming up with the team that created the Metal and Punk Connection name, Amy Santino and Jessie Salco to take on former Roulette Champion Griffin Hawkins and Team Hero! A match between Team Hero and the Metal and Punk Connection is something that fans have dreamed off for years since the two teams came together and with a current and former champion in the mix things were bound to get interesting, can the Metal and Punk Connection win?

Sun, sea, asskickings, what isn’t there to love about this little island?

Well, for one thing, I’m regretting the fact that most of my wardrobe consists of black t-shirts! Granted, today hasn’t been as hot as it’s been all week long as it has been partially cloudy but I’m pretty sure that the only person who’s ever sweated this much is Christian when he sees the male superstars in swimming gear, or lingerie if one of the recent Roulette Title Matches is to be believed but I digress, that’s not why you’re here!

No, you’re here to see me gamble my life-savings away!

I kid off course, the casino is one of the few air conditioned places on the island that I like visiting and I spend most of t he time here enjoying soft drinks at the bar, Jake and Shane have tried their hands at gambling this week but after mixed results they gave up on it before they gambled away their saving money for this trip! Anyway, now onto the real reason you’re here, you’re here because of the main event of this Sunday’s Climax Control.

Me, Amy and Vinnie against Vinnie, Roxi and Keira! Do I even need to say anything else?

Off course I do, because that’s why I have a camera in front of me! How it took the bosses this long to put the Metal and Punk Connection up against Team Hero is beyond me and when you throw in the current World Heavyweight Champion and the former Roulette Champion into the mix? Well, anything less than stellar would be considered a disappointment!

And before anyone brings it up, yes, I did see Christian’s reply to my tweet about this topic and I don’t buy that shit for a minute, for one thing I wasn’t aware that asking for matches was a thing!

“If I didn’t know any better.” Jake commented to me as he and Shane joined me at the bar, and we watched the other tourists gamble their lives away. “I’d think you enjoy watching people waste their money.”

“If I actually enjoyed that, I’d volunteer to babysit teenaged FIFA fans with access to their parents’ credit cards.” I responded as I shook my head before taking a sip from my drink. “That said, we are definitely investing in some bright clothing before Climax Control, I don’t want to be sweating my tiny tits off for the rest of the Supercard cycle!” I added before taking a sip of my drink.

“I’d agree with you if I had tiny tits.” Shane responded causing me to do a spit take as barely managed to keep my drink contained in the glass. “And that’s not a sentence I ever thought I’d say, off camera or on!”

“At least give me some warning before you say shit like that! I nearly spilled coke down my Bloodstock 2019 shirt!” I protested once I had regained my composure and Shane just grinned in response. “I mean yeah, the Bloodstock line-up was changed several times at the last minute but still.”

“Back onto the subject of bright tops, what are we talking exactly?” Jake chimed in as we turned to him. “Hawaiian shirts? I don’t think they’ll sell them on the island.”

“I don’t care what I wear as long as it’s the least girliest top you can find in my size.” I responded plainly before I finished my drink, we had finished dinner an hour ago and right now I was considering retiring back to me and Shane’s room for the rest of the night, but not before doing my promo. “Shane, I’m heading up to our room, catch up with you later?”

“Sure, I’ll send you a text when I’m heading up as well.” Shane responded and I grinned before leaving the casino and heading over to the hotel part of the resort, thank fuck it’s a short distance because I don’t think I could stand a longer walk in this heat as I got ready to do my promo.

“Sun, sea, stealing the show! That may as well be the Metal and Punk Connection’s calling card heading into the upcoming Supercard Cycle but more importantly the Six Person Tag Team Match this Sunday at Climax Control that pits me, Amy and Senor Vinnie in Six Person Tag Action against Griffin Hawkins and Team Hero in their first Climax Control match as a team in  fuck knows how long! Such a shame that their first match back will end in their defeat!”

Did I say shame? Because first up is Keira.

“Keira, you shouldn’t be surprised that I’m starting with you because I still remember the title shot you stole from me a few years ago! Don’t remember? Here’s a refresher course, #JustOneShot, otherwise known as #BenDeservesBetter before it was cool because you used that hashtag to jump ahead of me in the que for Crystal’s next challenger and quit the moment you failed, gee it’s almost like putting the person who eliminated Ms. One More Shot in a random tag team street fight whilst she stunk up the main event is a bad idea and this Sunday I’ll prove why Keira will never escape Roxi’s shadow by kicking her ass!”

And speaking of Roxi.

“Funny isn’t it Roxi? I faced you in your SCW debut all those years ago and now that your back we’re facing off in your return to Climax Control Match! You may have beaten me in your debut but that was years ago and come this Sunday I’ll be showing you just how far I’ve come since those early days by beating you in that ring! Like I said, Keira will never escape your shadow and this Sunday it’ll be a proven fact once me and the rest of the Metal and Punk Connection are done with you.”

And as for the men.

“I’m going to keep my words for the men brief as, obviously, I won’t be fighting Griffin in this match, that said, how does it feel to lose your title to a total joke? Because that’s how you must feel after losing the Roulette Title to Teddy-Steele “Kate wears the pants in this relationship in more ways than one” Warren at Summer XXXTreme! Now I’m not a gambling person but the odds of Teddy walking out of Aruba the champion are slim to none as are the odds of you winning this match Griffin!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“Christmas is three months away and the SCW fans are getting an early Christmas present with this match! But the real question is, can Team Hero keep up with “The Unsainted Angel” and the Metal and Punk Connection?  We all know the answer here and as much as I hate using them as a reference for anything, Team Hero’s return will just be another Mean Girls reunion, in that they’ll fail to regain their past glories and fuck off to obscurity, shame that they’ll drag Griffin down with them!”

I found the room I was sharing with Shane as the scene fades.
