The scene opens into the locker room of Zuri Chastain as she is preparing for her upcoming Triple Threat Match. Her twin sister is sitting on the bench next to Zuri's locker while trying to hide the fear in her eyes.
Zuri, are you sure this is wise?
Blanca, this is my job alright. Sometimes I have to face talentless bimbos in order to get my hands on someone more relevant.
I know that sis but I think you should have gotten better opponents. I mean come on, what can a tag team specialist and a newbie with no stripes on her card bring to this match. You already hold a pinfall victory over Jessie Salco. Grant it you lost last week to Roxi and Simon.
Last week, was the wake up call that I needed Blanca. I proved that I can stand across the ring with someone like Roxi and give them a grand ole fight. I did gather a loss last week but to be honest. I wasn't the one who got pinned. In fact, my streak is still in affect. I just hope I can bounce back from last week's blind attack from Mercedes Vargas. You know, I don't think we heard the last from her.
Blanca nods her head as Mr. Carlson walks into the room holding two glasses of tea. He also has a smile plastered on his face.
What you smiling about Carlson?
Yeah, I don't know what could get you so happy.
I always smile when I see you girls getting along. I can remember when I would have to separate you two. This is a special show that you are participating in Madam Zuri. The Make A Wish Foundation is here and we are going to make a child's wish come true. Now what do you say about that?
That is so awesome but that will have to wait. Because right now, I need to tell my opponents that they don't stand a chance against me. Tiami is a tag team specialist making her first singles appearance since her return to the squared circle. I don't know if she thought it would be a cake walk but I'm pretty sure she'll find out after the first stiff kick to her jaw. Just to add icing on the cake, she comes from a wrestling family. I've never really liked people who use their family name to springboard themselves into super-stardom. Tell me Tiami, do you think just because you come from a wrestling family that you automatically have the advantage? Is it because you have wrestling flowing through your veins? Tell me Tiami, what exactly have you done for this business? What have you done for this company? What makes you think facing Zuri Chastain is a good thing? Do you want your career to end? Cause it can happen. I can ruin your singles return party. Actually, I'm already planning to make an example out of you.
Tiami, has it sunk inside your thin skull? You may come from a wrestling family but that doesn't matter to my sister. The fact that you are from a wrestling family has made you less of a threat. It's going to suck to know that you don't have anyone to tag in. My sister works by herself and well it makes her stronger.
Zuri and Blanca each give Mr. Carlson a kiss before walking out of her locker room. They lean against the wall in the hallway as they continue.
Hey Blanca, have you heard of this Trishelle chick?
Nope. I did read on the SCW website that she just signed her contract.
So basically I have to face a damn newbie along with that tag team specialist. Oh, this is just fantastic.
Why are you so happy about this?
I'm not Blanca. I was being sarcastic. Seriously, does the management team want to see two bombshells get their hair pulled out or something? I've been called a controversial individual but I mean come on. Trishelle has done nothing on Climax Control so they just give her a match for Into the Void. Well, I guess I'm the welcome wagon for her. I just hope she can handle what I throw at her.
All I know is that both of these bitches have a tall hill to climb facing you sis. You can bet your ass that I will be standing ringside just so nothing goes wrong.
Good idea because if Mercedes Vargas gets involved in my damn match. Then she is going to find out first hand what happens when The Evil Bitch is awakened. Who knows I might just have to take all of my anger and aggression out on the two bimbos in the ring with me. Trishelle and Tiami, you both are going to get a hard first lesson about crossing me. Just so you guys understand where I am coming from. NO ONE CROSSES LADY JUSTICE. Get it. Got it. Good.
Sometimes No good deed goes unpunished.
Zuri and Blanca let out a laugh as they lean off the wall. They start walking down the hallway as the scene slowly fades to black.

Hello everyone. Tiami Tyler here.
I must address a situation that seems to plague my opponents wherever I go. It seems that no one can get educated on exactly who I am. So allow me to educate the masses and idiots.
I started wrestling at the age of twenty years old. Now my first few matches were tough. Here is the kicker though. In the time I started my career it wasn't me using my family name. It was my brother Daniel. He was the one who actually took a year of my career away from me. So I had no choice but sit at home for a year, raise my little daughter and watch. Watch people like Zuri run their mouths.
When I came back after that, it was a bit of a bitch. Yes, I beat my own brother. I spent the last four years busting my ass and earning every single thing I got. Which includes the PWX World Heavyweight Championship belt....a singles title. While yes, I did start as a tag specialist, I have wrestled singles matches as well. Matches with grown men that were twice my weight and a foot and a half taller than me. As PWX burned to the ground and crumbled, I walked out with their top prize...and that is quite an accomplishment that NO ONE will ever take away from me.
So Zuri darling ,for you to ask me what i have given to this business like some pathetic rookie? It shows your out right lack of knowledge. It also shows narrow mindedness and inability to face facts. Your little temper tantrums and attacks? The little cheap shots you throw at other women? Seen it all before and by grown as men as well. I have two sisters and three brothers, not a damn one is going to be in my corner.
Great, cause I'm actually making the Tyler name better.
So Zuri darling, warning. If your family gets in my way, they get to taste a piledriver to the floor. You will NEVER question my legacy when I am through with you little whiny brat.
We can not forget Trishelle Jordan either. The girl has had her name in lights as well. I have heard the name before, which tells me that she takes this about as seriously as I do. I do my homework. The question is Trishelle, have you picked the right time to debut. You are looking at me and thinking i must be crazy for asking that. The Bombshell division is the hottest division in pro wrestling. Yet you are making a debut against two people with not only losses to their records but anger to be taken out. Trishelle sweetie, your debut will be fit for a punching bag because that is how it will end up.
With me winning of course.
Ladies, I hope you both have been educated tonight. In that ring at Into The Void, your second lesson will be taught to you.
Never interrupt a princess on her way to becoming queen.

HISTORY PART I: THE DISTANT PAST
Sometimes, you just have to wait for the dust to settle before you jump into anything. If you jump in too early, you may end up involved in a situation that you may not be able to get yourself out of. That’s what I’ve done nearly my entire life. From getting involved with the wrong crowds in junior high school, to getting married before I even knew the guy’s parents… I know something about the regrets that come along with making stupid decisions. If you’re lucky enough to have those regrets, that just means that you’ll be able to live passed them and hopefully never repeat.
SCENE ONE || Return to Southern Hospitality
OFF CAMERA
It had been a few years since Trishelle had to relive one of the most painful times of her life. She didn’t want to ever have the memory of it creep into her head, but every once in awhile the memory of one of the most painful experiences of your life can just come out of nowhere. This was a very regular occurrence for her. She lived a life full of agonizing pain. She knew that with every decision she ever made, she would be ostracized for it. With every move of her rook on the chess board called life, there would always be another piece ready to take her down. Life was truly a battlefield, and Trishelle’s life was always on the losing side of the war. She walked into her favorite restaurant in her hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. “Tim’s BBQ†was a longstanding tradition in her life, even though her parents were never fans of her gorging on the South’s sinful delicacy. Something about it not being ladylike, but Trishelle never really cared. She was already so insecure with herself, why should she not have the dish that made her last few years of childhood at least somewhat bearable? After laying her eyeballs on the more than two decades old establishment, she realized that not a lot had changed. The walls were still the same color white and kids were still clearly places their barbecue filled hands on the walls. The chairs were all still the exact same. They all had those three legs that were longer than the fourth. The amount of rocking that could be heard on a Superbowl Sunday from those chairs was unbelievable! The only thing that had changed was kind of shocking. The only thing in the place that had changed was the face behind the counter. She had become accustomed to seeing the same smiling face behind the counter, the face of the owner’s wife Alice. She knew that Alice was always happy to see her. She always had the big smile on her face the second that Trishelle would walk in. She knew that there was always something so genuine about Alice. They would stay talking for hours about different things going on in life. They would always just stand there and totally ignore the world. If anyone truly understood Trishelle, it was Mrs. Alice Dawson.
TRISHELLE : “Umm… hi?â€
She slowly walked up to the counter as she didn’t take her eyes off of the person who was behind it. She knew she didn’t have a reason to be cautious, but she couldn’t help to honestly be nervous. She knew that as time went on, Alice wouldn’t be able to keep up with the demands that the establishment entailed. She knew that being advanced in age meant that she wouldn’t be behind the counter forever with that smile. She just didn’t expect it to be so soon. It had only been six months since the last time she walked into the place. Alice was still there and they talked about life. They talked about everything from wrestling to dentures. Alice showed her some of the pictures from her time as a young ingénue in Hollywood. Trishelle showed her some of her favorite wrestling matches, because she couldn’t show her any pictures that you’d want a woman as old as Cleopatra to see. Suddenly, the woman behind the counter flashed a smile. The smile was very warm and inviting. It was nothing like poor old Alice’s smile, but it was still sincere as they can come.
“Well hi there! What can I get for ya today?â€
The woman again flashed her smile at Trishelle, as Trishelle crossed her arms over her chest, she thought about what she was about to say. If it came out wrong, it could easily offend someone. No matter what way she would say what she had to say, it would elicit some kind of response. One way or another, she would know what happened to the most inviting person she had ever met in her life.
TRISHELLE JORDAN : “Umm… I’m actually looking for someone, I wanted to know if they were still around. I’m looking for a woman named Alice Dawson. Would she happen to be around today?â€
The expression on the woman behind the counter changed. The smile that she wore that was almost as inviting as Alice, slowly faded away. A somber expression took over the woman’s face as she slowly grabbed a towel from her back pocket. She began to wipe down the counter of the rather empty establishment for a few second. She couldn’t help it, but she eventually looked back up at Trishelle with a small smile.
“Alice Dawson has been dead for about three weeks. I’m her daughter Leslie. If I could get you anything, let me know okay? I have to get back to checking on the rest of the customers, alright?â€
She didn’t mean to strike a chord, but she did anyway. Trishelle couldn’t help but to feel sorry for Leslie. She didn’t know what it was like to experience the physical loss of a parent. She didn’t have to deal with the arranging of a funeral. She didn’t even know how she would say goodbye to a parent, she had never thought about it. Trishelle slowly moved her hands on the counter. She had rested herself on it comfortably. Before she could utter a word, Leslie’s eyes darted up at Trishelle. She didn’t look angry, but she quickly spoke with a tone that could bring a look of fear into the eyes of Jack the Ripper.
LESLEY : “Woman, take your damn hands off my counter. Did you not just see me take the time out to wipe that thing? I don’t let anyone that isn’t a patron of my damn establishment put their hands on my counters. I swear, it’s always the same with you yanks. You are always coming in here putting your hands where they don’t belong. You see those walls…â€
Lesley’s right hand darted from behind the counter into Trishelle’s face, if she didn’t know better, it was something that would easily be taken as offensive. Luckily, Trishelle knew she was trying to prove a point. She appeased the woman behind the counter by slowly turning her head to the right and looking at the barbecue sauce stained walls.
LESLEY : “We have to repaint this place every six months because of Yanks like you. I swear to God, I’ve never seen more disgusting people in my life. I don’t know what y’all folks do up in New York City, but around these parts we have manners. We use napkins to wipe our hands, not walls.â€
Trishelle let out a small chuckle. She found the similarities between Lesley and her mother almost astonishing. Though they weren’t dead ringers for each other, she could see the resemblance. They both shared the same eyes and nose. They even had the same mannerisms, especially when it came to putting their hands in your face.
TRISHELLE JORDAN : “God, you sound just like your mother. I swear it’s astonishing. Every time I used to come in here, she would be saying the exact same thing to someone. ‘Don’t put your hands on my goddamn wall, we just painted that.’ I swear I used to get a real kick out of that.â€
Lesley could only give Trishelle a look of confusion. That’s the miracle of stereotypes, you think you know and you definitely don’t. Trishelle smiled back at her as she moved her hands down to her hips. Lesley could only look over at Trishelle before she speaks.
LESLEY : “Oh, so you came in here before my mother died? How do you know her anyway? I didn’t really get the chance to ask. I should have probably done that instead of jumping down your throat like I did.â€
The smile that was on Trishelle’s face stayed where it was. Trishelle slowly takes her right hand off of her hips. She pulls the stool nearest to her out and takes a seat. She looks intently at Lesley as the smile fades and she begins to speak.
TRISHELLE JORDAN : “Hey, don’t you dare worry about that. First impressions aren’t exactly my strong suit. I’m Trishelle, your mother helped me through a tough spot when I was younger. She would always be so inviting to me whenever I came in. It was such an interesting experience. I’m not used to having people that try to make sure that I’m comfortable. Your mother did that for me. I swear, she knew what southern hospitality was all about.â€
Lesley looked at Trishelle with a smile. She knew that what she was saying about Alice was correct. Lesley walked from around the counter of the dormant establishment and pulled out the stool that was next to Trishelle.
LESLEY : “My mother always believed in that southern hospitality bullshit. I mean, I know that it’s really a thing, but this isn’t the age of courting people around. That’s something that’s long gone in the world. I really think it died with my mother.â€
Lesley places her hands on the counter and breathes a loud sigh. Talking about her mother seemed to upset her, and Trishelle picked up on that. She moved her right hand and placed it on Lesley’s left. The action made Lesley look up at Trishelle with little tears falling from her eyes. Trishelle rubbed her hand and looked at her with a calming smile.
TRISHELLE JORDAN : “Look, I know that it’s hard talking about your mother. It’s hard talking about losing anyone that you loved with every fiber of your being. The amount of loss that humans have to deal with is quite interesting if you ever think about it. I mean, we lose so many people in our lifetime. We lose friends, family, and even the people we love more than life itself.â€
Lesley listens to Trishelle, but she eventually raises a quizzical look at her. She takes a moment to truly soak in what was being said before she spoke to her again.
LESLEY : “Girl, you sound like you know what you’re talking about from experience. Honey… how much loss could you have possibly dealt with? You’re like what, twenty? I mean, you sound like someone who has a boatload of information when it comes to dealing with this.â€
Trishelle slowly moved her left hand back to her side of the counter. She stayed quiet for a moment without even looking over at Lesley. What she had said had clearly struck a chord with her. She may have not experienced all the same kind of loss, but there was more than enough that she had felt.
TRISHELLE JORDAN : “Well I’m actually twenty-five. I can’t say that I’ve lost anyone like you. I still have both of my parents, in body anyway. You see, that’s why this place used to mean so much to me. It’s almost like I got all the love that I didn’t get at home, here. Miss Alice was almost like the mother I never had… well the mother I always wanted. She reminded me of one of those moms you would see on the television set, you know the ones that would always know exactly what you needed no matter how you were feeling. That’s exactly what your mother seemed like to me.â€
Lesley smiled as she stood up from the stool. She took her time to walk back behind the counter and grab her rag. She began to wipe down the counter as she starts to speak.
LESLEY : “Yeah, my mother always did give off that vibe to people. She was a really sweet woman. I don’t think that it’s possible to find one that genuine anymore. You said you didn’t lose your parents physically, what does that mean?â€
Trishelle took a long breath. She knew that she was about to have to explain herself and that’s what scared her. Parts of the past aren’t things you want people to know. Those are the skeletons that you try to hide for as long as you possibly can, or that’s what she used to do.
TRISHELLE JORDAN : “Honestly, they weren’t happy with a decision that I made. I decided that I was a big girl and I could make my own decisions. When I graduated college, I moved out to Los Angeles. I did a few modeling campaigns to pay bills, and I really fell in love with the process. There is nothing like being in front of a camera. I totally find it empowering. Well, I decided it would be a good idea to try out modeling in a few risqué ways. After about a month, I got approached to appear in one of the bigger x-rated publications. I was nervous, but the photographer really helped me out with that. He was comforting and gentle. We hit it off and the rest was history. When my parents found out about my little photo spread, they weren’t exactly happy. I mean after years of neglect, they finally showed me some attention. It wasn’t the kind of attention I needed, but they did. They were so embarrassed that I resulted in doing that. They basically wrote me off for a year. I didn’t get a call on my birthday or even a Christmas card. I wasn’t even good enough to get an invitation to the family reunion. It hurt like hell, but Aaron was there for me. After six months, we got married. Through it all, I was training to wrestle and the rest is history.â€
Lesley grabbed a mug from behind the counter and began to drink from it. She listened intently to what Trishelle was saying. After placing the mug down onto the counter, she looked at the young woman with the most sincere look she had ever seen.
LESLEY : “Honey, I’m so sorry. No parent should shut their child out for any decision that they made. Even if you don’t like it, they are your child. They can’t take that away from you. I wouldn’t care if my child was showing their bodies in a magazine, that doesn’t affect the person that they are. Your parents were stupid for even letting that affect what they thought about you. You seem like a smart girl, why are you letting that affect you and your marriage?â€
Trishelle grasps her hands together and sighs. She looks over at Lesley before she begins to speak once again.
TRISHELLE JORDAN : “My marriage ended a few years ago, he cheated on me with a coworker of mine, someone that I actually considered a close friend at one point. When my parents found out, they were elated. They couldn’t wait to rub it in my face that my marriage had failed. To them, I’m their biggest failure. I have brother that’s a doctor, and a sister who’s a teacher. I’m just the daughter that got naked for a few magazines and wrestles. I’m like the stain on our family’s carpet.â€
Lesley reaches over and places her hands on top of Trishelle’s she swings her swiveling stool around and looks straight into Trishelle’s eyes.
LESLEY : “You know what, that’s just a family that doesn’t deserve to have you. So what if you’ve shown your breasts in a magazine? That doesn’t discount the fact that you’re a beautiful soul. Honey, other families would be lucky to have you. Don’t let your joke of one ruin your happiness. As for that ex of yours, honey, there are millions of fish in the sea. You’ll find mister right one day.â€
After all of that, Lesley was right. She didn’t need the admiration of her family, at twenty-five years old, she knew that if they weren’t happy with her now, they never would be. This was finally her time to be happy in something. It was finally her time to show that after years of insecurity, it didn’t affect her. It was time for her to grow some skin and finally say what she had to say. What happened to her in the past, is staying in the past. What’s coming to her now will be her future and the start of a brand new history. Whether they liked it or not, it was time that she lived her life without the regrets she once had. With a smile, Trishelle stands up from the stool she quickly wrapped her arms around Lesley and embraced her in a big hug.
TRISHELLE JORDAN : “You don’t realize what you just did for me. I could kiss you right now, even though that would be weird as hell. Look, I have to go but I promise I won’t be a stranger!â€
Trishelle quickly gets off of the stool and heads towards the door keeping the smile on her face. As she opens the door to exit the building, she looks around for a few seconds before leaving. As she stands near the door, she grabs her phone out of her pocket. She quickly opens up the note app on her phone and erases the text “Find the place where you felt the most at home.â€
SCENE TWO || Make It {OR} Break It
ON CAMERA
Los Angeles is known for being the land of superficiality. A place where the only thing that matters is how many Emmys you have, or if you were ever up for an Oscar. No one really cares if you can name all the presidents in order, or if you can name all the moons of Jupiter. It’s all about how you walk the walk and how you talk the talk. It’s one of the many sunny days in the coincidentally named “Sunshine state.†On a beach, it’s normal to see many people of different shapes and size. It’s one of those things that’s to be expected during the summer. What’s a better way to beat the heat than going to the beach? On the beach, Trishelle Jordan is lying on a beach towel. The beautiful brunette looks as if she doesn’t have a care in the world. She has her hands lying down at her side, her hair sprawled out all over the beach towel. As she lies on the towel, she picks her head up and looks straight up into the camera. She flashes a simple smile at the camera as she slowly raises herself up to a seated position. Once she gets herself comfortable, she begins to speak.
“Well… They say you’re most relaxed whenever you’re in a calm, peaceful place. The beach has always been one of those places where I would just want to go to get away. Every year, I’d make sure to make a trip down to Miami Beach just to lay around and do nothing. Well, for the last six months I’ve been doing just that, nothing. I left wrestling for a little while, it was the hardest thing I think I’ve ever had to do. After doing something for so long, it’s hard to fill the void that it leaves. I guess that’s kind of apropos, I mean I’m about to make my in ring return at an event called ‘Into the Void’ no less. The void that wrestling left in my heart is about to be filled, in a new company. Even though this is going to be a new venture, it’s nice to know that history is kind of repeating itself.â€
Trishelle slowly raised herself up to her feet, never taking her focus off of the camera. A smile is on her face as she slowly wipes the little bit of sand that was one her off.
“You see, before I took my break from wrestling, I had two chance encounters with one of my opponents. Tiami Tyler, you and I have a little bit of history. Both of those times, I walked out with my hand held high. However, the past has nothing to do with the future. I said that you were one of my favorite opponents that I had ever had, and I meant it. You gave me a run for my money both times that we locked up, but I still walked away with the win. You’re a fiery redhead and there is no doubt about that. You show everyone what it truly means to be one of the best in women’s wrestling. You’ve had success outside of women’s wrestling too. You’re a world’s champion, which makes you one tough cookie. Like I said, the past is staying in the past. What’s important is what’s going to come in the future. At Into the Void, we’re going to put another match under our names. No matter which of us may come out victorious, it’ll be a well-deserved win.â€
Trishelle slowly moves her hands up to her hips. She takes her eyes off of the camera for a moment and takes a few deep breaths. After a moment, she looks back up at the camera and begins to speak.
“I wish I could say that this match would be one on one, but it isn’t. There is another variable in this equation of ours. Zuri Justice, I don’t know too much about you. That’s one of the fun parts about wrestling in a new place. You get to experience all the talents that you wouldn’t have otherwise. That’s what drew me into Sin City Wrestling; a company with some of the most talented women’s wrestlers in the entire world. Zuri, I’m not exactly a fan of things that you do, but I know that’s your decision. I’m not sure where Justice comes from in your name, but I digress. I may be the new chick on the scene, but I promise you won’t forget me anytime soon.â€
Trishelle slowly lowers her hands down to her sides once more. She stares intently at the camera as the tone in her voice changes to one that’s more serious.
“For years, I’ve been underestimated in this great business of ours. For years, I’ve been told that I was nothing. For years, I’ve been treated like some third string player, but that’s all about to change. Forget about the two titles that I’ve won. Forget about the years of pain and agony that I’ve been through. Forget about all the years of pain and agony that you have both been through. At Into the Void, we’re going to take each other to a limit. We’re going to show the entire world what we’re made of. At Into the Void, I’m going to show everyone that Trishelle Jordan is still in this business. I’m going to show everyone that this is the rebirth of Trishelle. This will be the start of another era in my career. Forget about the past, the future is where your destiny lies. The future starts at Into the Void. Tiami and Zuri, I wish you both the very best of luck. Don’t take any of this personally, but I know that I am going to win. That’s not confidence, that’s just a gut feeling. That gut feeling is going to take me a long way. Trust me on this… Trishelle Jordan is back, and better than ever!â€
At the end of her statement, Trishelle places her hands back on her hips. With a confident smirk, she slowly walks towards the camera. Taking her right hand off of her hip, she raised it up to her mouth and blew a slow kiss to it. As she does this the camera feed slowly cuts.

HISTORY: PART TWO || THE COLLISION
“After meeting Lesley, I think I really understand why the past means so much. If it wasn’t for the past, we wouldn’t know things that we should prevent in the future. The past will also be the reason that most of us feel completely stupid. Things that we’ve done in the past will always have some kind of effect on us.â€
SCENE ONE || SECOND NATURE
Sometimes, you have to wonder why life throws you the curveballs that it does. One minute you can be totally content in the actions that you’re doing, the next something changes that. Ever since she landed back in Atlanta, she knew that she had to try all that she could to avoid her family. She knew that nothing would be good if she saw them. Every time that she did, someone would have to leave with a headache. The true definition of the word dysfunction is simply defined as the Jordan family. Trishelle knew that she was the stain on the Jordan family underwear, and her family made sure she knew it. She wasn’t like her brother or her sister. Her mother always knew that Trishelle would be a special case, but not the kind of special she hoped. Alexandra Jordan always gloated about how all three of her children were going to be something that mattered in the world. Her eldest child is now one of the head doctors in his field at a prominent hospital. Her youngest child had just become teacher of the year at the middle school she teaches at. She’s a mother of two children and somehow balances it all. However, her middle child… well she’s a special case.
Trishelle lies on the sofa in her hotel room. She knew that she had a long day ahead of her. She was about to embark on the greatest mission of her life… trying to have a peaceful conversation with her mother. Though it would be a tough challenge, it was one she was willing to accept. As she was on the sofa, she reached her right arm over and grabbed her cellphone that was sitting on the coffee table. She slowly unlocked it and went to her contacts. She looked them over until she got to one simply labeled, “motherâ€. She took a deep breath as she touched the number. As it appeared on her screen, she hesitates to call. Taking a deep breath, she slowly touches the button to begin the call. As the phone screen changes to that of the call, there is a knock on the door. Trishelle quickly hangs up the phone call and places the phone back down on the coffee table. As she slowly rises to her feet, there is another knock at the door. She quickly walks across the room and heads for the door. Once she reaches it, she looks through the peephole. As she looks through the peephole she takes a deep breath. Slowly, she backs away from the door and opens it. But before Trishelle could poke her head out from behind the door, the person walks in; her purse swinging from her right arm, her slightly greying blonde hair falling all the way down to her shoulder, a very formfitting red and white sundress hugging her curvy body. Trishelle slowly walks from behind the door and closes it. After taking another deep breath, she speaks.
TRISHELLE JORDAN :“Mom… what… how did you know I was back in town?â€
Alexandra slowly drops her purse down to the coffee table before turning to look at her daughter. She crosses her arms over her chest and responds to her daughter.
ALEXANDRA JORDAN : “Did you really think that I wouldn’t find out you were back? Honey, this may be Atlanta, but people still talk. You went back to the dive barbeque place you used to go to when you were younger. You didn’t eat, you just talked to waitress. After that, you came back to the hotel and gorged on food from the vending machine. I’d say that was a better choice for your figure, that fatty smoked meat really isn’t good for you darling. Not to mention, the cholesterol.â€
Trishelle didn’t know what to say. She was truly perplexed by what her mother had just finished telling her. It’s understandable that she could have find out about her going to restaurant, but how in the hell did she know about the vending machine? Trishelle shook it off before speaking.
TRISHELLE JORDAN : “Mom, how in the hell did you know what I ate last night? Look, I was going to tell you that I was back in town. I just wanted to get myself settled in the hotel first. You know, get some time to relax before the storm. I knew that you would have something potent to say, I just wanted to prepare myself for it.â€
Alexandra lowers herself down to the couch. As she looks up at her daughter, she crosses her right leg over her left. She then grabs her purse off of the coffee table and places it next to her. She then lets out a soft chuckle before speaking.
ALEXANDRA JORDAN : “Honey, why would you need to prepare yourself? You act as if I always have something to tell you. You know that’s not the case. I love you, I just want to look out for my amazing daughter. You know that I love you, and you know that I would never dream of criticizing you.â€
Trishelle could hardly compose herself. She slowly walked over to her mother and sits across from her on the coffee table. She looks at her mother for a second, before she lets out a small laugh. After a few moments of soft laughter, she starts to laugh a little louder. After a moment of laughter, she looks back at her mother who clearly wasn’t impressed. Trishelle composes herself before speaking.
TRISHELLE JORDAN : “You’re kidding me right? You’ve criticized me every minute of my life ever since I decided that I wasn’t going to go to Texas Tech. You are the queen of criticism. The last time you said anything positive about me was the day you found out I filed for divorce from Aaron.â€
Alexandra uncrosses her arms from her chest. She places them down at her side before she looks at her daughter with a stern expression. She slowly reaches her right hand over and places it on Trishelle’s corresponding knee.
ALEXANDRA JORDAN : “Honey, I have never meant to criticize you… at least openly anyway. You’re my daughter. I can’t talk about you like you think I do. I love you with all my heart, but you just don’t give me something great to go off of.â€
Trishelle looked at her mother in the eyes for a few moments. She quickly diverts her eyes away from her mother before she once again lets out a small chuckle.
TRISHELLE JORDAN : “You’re not serious right? Mom, you take every chance that you humanly can to criticize me. I never deserve it, but you just do it. There is never any sympathy coming from you. You always have something bad to say about the things I’m doing in my life. If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear you didn’t’ like me. You’re always treating me like the black sheep of the family. You are never proud of me. You hate the fact that I’ve been a model. You hate the fact that I’m a wrestler. Hell, you hate the fact that I dyed my hair brown.â€
Trishelle rises to her feet and looks down at her mother. She slowly places her hands onto her hips and takes a deep breath. Alexandra looks up at her daughter and rolls her eyes. She then flicks her hair off her right shoulder before she begins to speak.
ALEXANDRA JORDAN : “Okay, I’m sorry that I’m not exactly known as the most supportive mother, but you know that I love you darling. The things I say are only said because I care about you.â€
… What kind of caring is that? Trishelle shakes her head for a moment before she walks towards the mini-kitchen in the hotel room. She grabs a Styrofoam cup and then the coffee pot. After pouring about half a cup, she puts the pot back down. She then raises the cup up to her mouth and takes a swig. After placing the cup back down on the counter, she speaks to her mother from across the room.
TRISHELLE JORDAN : “You know you really have a backhanded way of showing that you care. I didn’t realize that showing that you cared literally involved telling everyone about how big of a failure I am. I didn’t know that posing for an explicit magazine would make me blacklisted from our family functions. How was I supposed to know that you’d write me off because I got married? Mom, you have a real backhanded way of showing someone that you care. Mom, all you ever did was told me about how much of a failure that I was. I know I may not be a rising doctor or a teacher of the year, but I’m still something successful.â€
The proverbial knife was put in Alexandra’s heart. She stood up from the couch and walked over to the counter. Both mother and daughter just stood there in total silence. A bit of tension could definitely be felt, Trishelle grabbed her coffee and took a few sips. After a deep breath, she placed the cup back down on the counter. Alexandra just looked at her daughter. There was no emotion in her look, it was just a look of… solemnness.
ALEXANDRA JORDAN : “If you want me to be honest, I’m extremely proud of you. You’ve made something of yourself, I’m just not proud of how you did it. You are something that makes you successful in your own right, but I just wish that you didn’t have to take your clothes off and degrade yourself to get it.â€
Trishelle looks at her mother straight in the eyes. She never did it often, but when she did she was about to give her mother exactly what was on her mind.
TRISHELLE JORDAN : “You know what, I’m tired of hearing this! You know that what I do isn’t something that you’re proud of, but I don’t need to hear it twenty-four seven. I know that you don’t like the fact that I undressed for a magazine. I know that you don’t like the fact that I am a wrestler, but you’re going to have to accept it…â€
Trishelle walks over to the door. Once she makes it there, she takes a deep breath. After a moment, she opens the door and looks back at her mother.
TRISHELLE JORDAN : “Either you accept it, or you get the hell out. I don’t need your constant negativity in my life anymore. I’ve had it four twenty-five years, I don’t want it for a minute more. So either, you leave me and my decisions alone, or you’re going to leave my life forever when you walk out of this door.â€
Alexandra looks visibly shocked by what Trishelle had said. She didn’t expect for her daughter to ever say something like that to her. Alexandra slowly backs away from the counter and goes to the couch. She grabs her purse and walks to the door and looks at her daughter. As the two look at each other, it looks as if they are both holding back tears. Alexandra looks down at the floor and composes herself before looking back up.
ALEXANDRA JORDAN : “If that’s the way you want it, that’s fine… have a nice life darling.â€
Alexandra exits the hotel room. Trishelle slowly closes the door; she takes a deep breath as she puts her eye up to the peephole. She looks outside into the hallway where Alexandra was standing. Her mother had left and she could breathe a sigh of relief as she backed away from the door. The confrontation that she dreaded the most, ended better than she ever could have expected.
“What can I say; I’m happy that my mother is out of my life. I guess to the untrained eye that would sound bad. I know that even to people who know the full story, they’d think that sounds bad. Truth is, it is bad. I just can’t help but to think that her being out of my life is the true start to my life. I won’t have to deal with the constant nagging. I wouldn’t have to deal with the constant treatment as my family’s pariah. All I have to deal with is myself. Me, myself, and I… that’s all I really need.â€
SCENE TWO || A PUNCHING BAG
ON CAMERA
The proverbial eye of the tiger is more than just a song. It’s a real thing that people get whenever they are in a certain zone. Trishelle Jordan had that eye, as she stood in the center of the gym. She was hitting a punching bag. The bag wasn’t your traditional Everlast punching bag. It wasn’t black or red. It was a special pink bag. Normally, you wouldn’t find a pink punching bag in a gym, but maybe this gym was more accommodating. As she stood in the center of the gym, she was going at the bag. With each left and right, they seemed to be getting harder. It seemed like Trishelle was getting out some pent up aggression. After a few more moments of hard shots to the punching bag, she stopped and diverted her attention over to the camera. Her hair is a ponytail, and she has a bit of sweat drenching her face. She slowly takes her right hand and removes the glove on her left and drops it to the floor. She does the same with the other hand all while looking at the camera. She looks down at the ground for a second and lets out a soft chuckle before she speaks.
“You know, I’ve been called a lot in this business. I’ve been called derogatory terms like bitch and slut. I’ve been called things that I don’t even want to repeat, things that aren’t even becoming of calling a human. At the end of the day, I don’t normally let words get to me, but something was said that I just have to address.â€
Trishelle slowly places her right hand on the punching bag. Taking her time, she places her left hand on her hip before she begins to speak once again.
“You know, I was called a punching bag recently? I… Trishelle Jordan, a punching bag? I know that I’m the new girl in town, but I’m not a punching bag. You know I was really surprised about who called me that. Tiami, you of all people should know that I am not a punching bag. I am the furthest thing from a punching bag. Don’t you remember the summer of 2012? A company decided that the idea of starting a women’s division would be a great thing. So, I was hired along with you. We were the first ever diva’s division match in the company. Do you remember who came out victorious? I do, in fact I said it the last time I spoke about our upcoming match. Well, you see I needed a refresher course. We were in Rosemont, Illinois, the Allstate Arena in fact. We were the first match on that card. I remember this so well because I pinned you. I pinned you in the center of the ring with a German Suplex. You act as if you don’t remember me. You say I’m going to be a punching bag, but on two separate occasions we gave each other a run for the other’s money. Even in that second match with Kandi Washington, we showed that we are both on equal ground. I don’t know why you’d forget me, I haven’t forgotten you. I even said that you were one of my favorite opponents. At Into the Void, you’re going to get your chance to stop my three win streak over you. Hopefully, you give me as good of a showing as you did in the past.â€
Trishelle slowly walks away from the punching bag. A smile comes over her face as she places her hands onto her hips.
“Zuri… you want to call me a ‘talentless bimbo’. Well I hate to break it to you; I’ve been in this business for a long time. Just because I’m new in town, doesn’t make me a complete novice. I’ve been in this business for the last four years. There is nothing that I wanted to more than to get into that ring after I graduated college. I’ve been doing this since then, this isn’t my first rodeo. I’ve held two titles in different federations. Whether the company called us divas or vixens, I’ve found myself at the top of those divisions. So, you think that I’d just be there to pull hair? Well honey, you’re totally wrong. I’ve been at this long enough to know that’s not how I role.â€
Trishelle places herself down on the floor. Crossing her legs, she looks up at the camera with a smile. She placed her hands over her crossed legs before she began to speak once again.
“So, don’t expect for me to be grabbing your hair and scratching you. That’s not my type of wrestling. You and Tiami should both be expecting some balls to the wall wrestling. None of us have real balls, but it’ll be figurative balls to the walls wrestling. You’re both going to see that I’m not a push over. I’m not one of those punching bags that hangs from the wall and lets you hit it. I’m going to hit you back, and it’ll probably be harder than you hit me. At Into the Void, Trishelle Jordan makes her presence felt. I’m going to show you all that I’m not just that novice that you all think I am. So, when I get my hands raised at the supercard, don’t have any hard feelings towards me. We’ll all get along I’m more than sure, just know I’m going to win. That’s not arrogance, that’s a… lucky feeling.â€
Trishelle slowly uncrosses her legs. She stands to her feet and looks straight into the camera.
“This is my new beginning, you two good luck.â€
Trishelle smiles at the camera as it slowly cuts away.

Meeting an abused kid
We return to the well furnished home of Zuri Justice aka Zuri Chastain. She is actually standing by her car while giving it a much needed washing. Zuri isn't paying much attention when Mr. Carlson softly walks up.
Mr. Carlson: Excuse me Ms. Zuri
Zuri drops her sponge into the bucket as she looks at the little boy standing beside her butler. She looks at Mr. Carlson with a look of curiosity.
Zuri Justice: Who's the boy, Mr. Carlson?
Mr. Carlson: This is Adam. He lives in the foster home in town.
Zuri looks at Carlson with a look of concern. Memories of her own childhood begin flooding back.
Zuri Justice: Zuri bends down to look Adam in his eyes. How old are you Adam?
Adam holds up 5 fingers as a smile slowly comes across Zuri's face. She brushes her hair out from her face as she gets a good look of Adam. She immediately shoots up to her feet as Mr. Carlson notices a change in her complexion.
Zuri Justice: Adam, would you like a cookie?
Adam: Yes.
Zuri Justice: I believe we still have some cookies up in the cabinet. Mr. Carlson, can take you inside the house and give some cookies?
Mr. Carlson: Okay. Follow me Mr. Adam.
Mr. Carlson takes Adam by the hand and leads him up to the house. Zuri uses a free hand to wipe away a tear from the corner of her eye. Blanca walks out from the side door in the garage. She places a hand on Zuri's shoulder as they embrace in a sister hug.
Blanca Chastain: Are you okay? I haven't seen you like this since we were put through the system.
Zuri Chastain: That was a horrible time in our lives. I need to talk to someone.
Blanca Chastain: Are you sure? You haven't spoke to him since he got out of prison.
Zuri Chastain: I'm just going to soak up my feelings this one time. If I don't speak to someone, then I am going to explode.
Blanca Chastain: I know you don't like anyone telling you how to utilize your anger but maybe you could use this attitude for your opponents. I'm not sure if you heard Tiami Tyler or Trishelle Jordan speak but they seem to think you are just a rookie.
Zuri Chastain: She points at herself Really? Wow, sounds like they need to be educated. I will address them but I should get going. Take care of Adam for me til I get back.
Blanca Chastain: Sure thing.
Zuri gets into her Buick Lacrosse and pulls out of the driveway. Blanca stays in the driveway as Zuri disappears around the corner.
Answering Tiami Tyler
Zuri gets halfway to her father's house as she turns off an abandoned road. She puts her car in park and steps out of it. She sits on top of the hood while tapping her finger against her temple.
Let's give you a cookie Tiami. It would appear that you are trying so hard to distance yourself from your wrestling legacy. So you have won a man's title. You think that is supposed to impress me. You think that because you can beat a man is supposed to scare me. Now you think you know me. Let me tell you something Tiami. YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ME. I would really think twice if you want to threaten my sister. Because like I said, you have no idea what I have been through during my childhood.
You call me a whiny brat. This coming from the one who has been handed everything to her. You said it yourself, you haven't won that many singles matches not to mention you couldn't even win a tag team match. Sounds to me like you are desperate for a win but you won't obtain one. The one problem that you are running into Tiami is that I haven't been pinned or made to submit with in 8 months. Now tell me Tiami, can you pull something like that off?
I do have a question for you Tiami, what would happen if your knee was to get reinjured? Would you leave the wrestling world again? Would you cry like a little bitch? Would you just shake it off like you are super girl? Tiami, you can stop acting like you are that good because we both know you are just average at best. After glancing over your biography, I noticed that most of your moves are the same as everyone else. Tell me Tiami, are you really trying to convince me that you are not using your last name as way to get things handed to you on a golden platter? Because if you were trying to do that then I will just have to squash you like the cockroach that you are.
Just a warning Tiami, you've been placed on the top rung of my very own Justice System.
Zuri, jumps off the hood and gets back into her car. She backs it back out onto the road and pulls away.
Meeting with her father
Zuri finally arrives her father's duplex as she cuts the engine off of her car. Albert Justice opens the door of his duplex and walks out to greet his daughter.
Albert Justice: I was beginning to think you were going to stay mad at me.
Zuri Justice: Don't think that this changes anything between us. You left me and Blanca to fend for ourselves.
Albert Justice: It's not like I had a choice. Someone in my organization sold me out. I didn't want to leave you or your sister. You had Mr. Carlson to take care of you.
Zuri abruptly walks past her father as she goes inside his duplex. He looks up to the sky before running his hands down his face. He soon followers her inside and shuts the door. Zuri quickly sits down on the couch as her father joins her. She looks at him while tears are starting to stream down her face.
Zuri Justice: Mr. Carlson was having visa issues so he had to go back to England for a good chunk of our childhood. While you were still in prison, Blanca and I were placed in the foster care system. A system that practically failed me and Blanca. During our time in the foster care system, we were split apart. Blanca was placed in a home somewhere in Florida while I was stuck in Montana. The entire time I was with that foster family, the dad would daily physically and verbally abused me. My foster mom, would treat me like a damn slave and my foster siblings would beat me everyday. Blanca was sexually abused by her foster family.
Albert Justice: I didn't know any of that happened. What did you two do?
Zuri Justice: A few social workers found out and pulled us out of those homes. We got brought back here to Webster. We remained in the foster care system til Mr. Carlson finally got us back. He knew something happened with us but he never pressured us. Then you got released from prison and you tried to get back in our lives. Why were you never there for me? I needed my father?
Albert Justice: I am sorry that I was there when you needed me but I am here now. I want to be a part of your life again Zuri. Blanca has already forgiven me. I just want you to forgive me too.
Zuri falls into her father's arms as they share a passionate father-daughter hug. He kisses her forehead as she wipes her face. He gets up off the couch and turns on the television. Zuri gets off the couch as well and heads to the kitchen. She pulls out a bottle of water and takes a sip of it.
Albert Justice: Not that it's any of my business. Why did you decide to tell me that stuff today?
Zuri Justice: Mr. Carlson brought a little boy to my home today and when I saw his face. It sparked those memories in my head. I figured it was time that I told you. I should be getting back.
Albert nods his head without saying a word. Zuri hugs her father again before walking out of his home. He watches her from the door as she gets back into her car. She gets back onto the road and disappears from his sight.
Addressing Two Bimbos
Zuri reaches another deserted road and pulls onto it. She gets out of her car while taking a walk through the woods.
What is with the two of you bimbos? You both like to play the "I'm no rookie but I'm better than you" card. Well I got news for the both of ya, I'M NO PUSHOVER. Sorry, if that through a monkey wrench into your plans Trishelle. I called you a talentless bimbo because you have the same amount of talent as Tiami. Why are you trying to impress me with how many years you've been in this business? Does it say that I give a royal fuck anywhere on my face? Are you hoping that I take it easy on you? Look bimbo, I don't care if you've been in this business for 4 years or 10 years. You will get the same damn treatment from me.
Let me just give around of applause for holding two titles in different companies. Wow, that is really unimpressive. For someone who says this isn't her first rodeo then why do you only have two titles to your name. The same can be said about Tiami who only has three titles. If we are counting our championships then I've got ten to my name. Now that we got that out of the way. Let me just say, Trishelle you are way out of your league. Just because you've been doing this for 4 years doesn't mean shit to me. In fact, it proves my point that talentless bimbos seem to last longer in this sport than the talented ones.
So you are not a fan of me Trishelle big freaking whoop. Did you expect me to cower away and hide beneath my damn bed? Did you think I was going to change my ways just because someone doesn't like what I do? Last time I checked, I beat Jessie Salco in my very first match here after she underestimated me. It sounds like you are doing the same thing Trishelle and you know what happens to those who are over confident. They fall flat on their faces.
That is something you and Tiami need to realize about this match between the three of us. Three women will walk in but only one will be walking out. I'm sure you both would love to be the ones who walk out with the victory but let's be real here. It's a triple threat match which means anyone can win. Not only that, we have kids in the arena due to the make a wish foundation. Now tell me Trishelle, since you are the newbie, how many kids are actually going to wish for you to win this match? The same question applies to you Tiami. I'll answer for the both of you. None of the children wants to see two talentless bimbos pull out a victory. You see, the kids want to see The Anti-Hero walk out the winner because everyone loves a hero even if they are bad.
You asked me Trishelle, where Justice comes in my name? Well, you are going to find out first hand where the Justice comes from. You see I am tired of all you new bimbos who think just because you got your feet wet somewhere else that you can waltz into a new company and become the greatest thing since apple pie. That's what makes me the best at what I do. I am the best at destroying people's feel good moment. Trishelle, you want a rebirth well what are you going to do when that rebirth gets cut short. In fact, I have a feeling that your lucky or gut feeling is going to fail you. Just like you have failed for most of your career. Those two titles will always be a constant reminder of how pathetic your career has become. Those two titles that you proudly proclaim is the constant reminder that your career has been nothing but a failed experiment.
Tiami already knows what it means to be a failure but she will find out again at Into the Void. Ladies, your time is slowly ticking down. You still have the option of tucking your pretty little tails between your fucking legs and hightailing it out the door. No one will blame you. Because if you both want to continue with this match then you are just prolonging the agony that follows. You seem so sure of yourself Trishelle but I'm pretty damn sure that once I punch you. You will stay the fuck down for at least a 3 count. Sometimes I don't know my own strength but I do know that I am a superior athlete.
The only way either of you could beat me is if Mercedes Vargas sticks her nose in this match. That is the only saving grace you both have in this match. Otherwise, you guys stand no chance in Hades against me. Just do yourselves a favor and DON'T CROSS LADY JUSTICE because if you do cross me. Well then you will find out the hard way that NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED. Catch you girls on Sunday.
Zuri turns around and heads back toward her car. She gets into her car, backs out onto the road and drives away as the scene fades.
