Title: Nothing Personal
Post by: Jake Sullivan on July 19, 2012, 08:54:20 PM
The past few weeks have almost been a blur for me. I think I’m scaring the rest of the Sins because of how much I’ve been smiling lately. I think I’m even beginning to scare myself, but hell, I’ve had a damn good reason! All my hard work and determination FINALLY paid off. There was no need for the phrase “third time is a charm” in my case, because I beat Nick Jones to win the Heavyweight Championship on my second try. I promised everyone I would, and I made good on that promise. The Sin of Wrath is now your SCW Heavyweight Champion!

Fuck just saying that sounds amazing! But you know what is even better? MY name is now on the nameplate of this shiny championship belt. The days of Nick Jones as champion are finally over, and I was the one to put an end to it. No other man can say they took Nick Jones down. They were all dying to be the one to relish in that glory, but sorry guys, I did it. I’m bragging too much right now aren’t I? Shit, ask me if I even give a damn! I’m the Heavyweight Champion!

But being the Heavyweight Champion also comes with a price, doesn’t it? The moment I defeated Nick Jones and that belt was strapped around my waist, that proverbial target was tattooed on my back. SCW is full of plenty of top contenders all hungry for the Heavyweight Title. Some are just as hungry as I was before I defeated Nick, no doubt, which means they are all now gunning for me. The main event for the next supershow has already been announced and, boy, do I have my work cut out for me with that one. It won’t be an easy match, I fully admit, but it’s a match I’m definitely looking forward to with every fiber of my being. But before that match, it seems I’ve been thrown into my first title defense. Mark Ward and Christian Underwood decided I should put the title on the line this Sunday, at the last Climax Control before Summer XXXTreme. Who is my lucky opponent? Well, it’s one of the guys I’m scheduled to face in the main event at the supershow. Bo Dreamwolf.

I’ve got no issues with Bo Dreamwolf, nor have I had any in the past. He’s one of the very few guys in this company who I actually respect. Normally I try and find a reason to hate everyone or just generally be pissed off at that, but with Bo, I can’t say there is any legitimate reason I can find. He’s a respectable guy, and just his sheer passion for this business shows in everything he does. Bo Dreamwolf is just not someone I can find it in me to hate…or being angry with. Not yet, anyway.

At first I thought Bo being tossed into the mix for the Heavyweight title was just because of his issues with Nick Jones. Nick cost him the Roulette Title, and embarrassed him a few times, so Bo just wanted some payback…or so I thought. Now it seems otherwise. It seems Bo is finally living up to his full potential and going after something he may very well hold one day. Anyone who watches Bo’s matches can’t deny the fact that he will one day hold top gold. Whether it is here in Sin City Wrestling, or in another promotion, Bo Dreamwolf is destined to wear Heavyweight Gold around his waist.

But that time is not now, and if Bo makes the mistake of believing it is, I will have to do everything in my power to stop him. Now that I’ve finally got this title in my possession, I’m not letting anyone take it from me, and if Austin Parker is as good a manager as I’ve heard, he’ll make sure that Bo is well aware of just what is in store for him. I’m looking forward to this match against Bo, if I’m being honest. No bad blood between the two of us, but if he makes one wrong move, or does anything to piss me off, all bets are off and things will get very ugly. This match will be a clean fight.

Or it should be…as long as the rest of those idiots don’t try and get involved. Fair warning fellas(damn it I really need to quit hanging out with Shane!). If you want to make it to Summer XXXTreme in one piece, you will be sure to steer clear of the ring on Sunday. Let that be my one and only warning to all of you.

And Bo Dreamwolf…Good luck on Sunday, because you are really going to need it, bud.

In just a matter of two weeks, Rage has been given not one but two very special gifts. First, was a gift to himself. A gift that he won…the Heavyweight Title. Then just a week and a half later, his friend and stable mate, Gabriel, had shocked quite a few people, Rage included, when he bought the big man a very expensive car. Gabriel’s intentions were based solely on his greed for his own pricey car, as Rage wasn’t keeping quiet on the fact he had his eyes set on that car. So Gabriel shelled out the cash for the car, and ever since then, Rage has been a happy camper.  Rage, happy? Now there is an interesting change!

Well, interesting change isn’t even the appropriate way to describe it. The rest of the Sins have all been a little, well, scared at his overall mood lately. He’s been smiling, laughing and even attempting to make jokes, and the others quite simply are not used to this sort of behavior from Rage. Most of them don’t know what to do about it.

As Rage is out in Synn’s driveway, cleaning and waxing his new car, Kittie walks outside, studying his every move. She even has to listen carefully, as she can’t believe what she is hearing.

Kittie: Okay, so am I hearing this right? Rage is whistling?! No, that's can't be right.

Rage looks up from the right side of the car as he carefully runs a terry cloth over its shiny black exterior.

Rage: What if I am?

Kittie: You need to cut that shit out, that’s pretty damn scary coming from you. And, seriously, you just got this car a week ago! Why the hell are you already waxing it?!

Rage rolls his eyes. He sets the towel on the hood of the car, giving Kittie his full attention.

Rage: Excuse me if I’m in a fucking good mood for once, Kittie! And, take a look at this car. It’s pitch black in color, and it’s worth a million dollars! We live in the desert and I’ve been driving it around. I’d like to keep it in excellent condition.

Kittie: You never seemed like the type that drooled over fast expensive cars and living the high life. You’ve always been this big pissed off beast that loved kicking ass!

Rage glares at Kittie, folding his arms across his chest.

Rage: That hasn’t changed. It’s just been pretty damn difficult to piss me off lately considering everything I’ve got now.

Kittie laughs and she walks up right next to Rage’s car. She is just inches away from leaning on it, when Rage’s eyes widen and he almost freaks out.

Rage: DON’T TOUCH THE CAR!

Kittie jumps back, looking at the car from the front bumper to the back bumper.

Kittie: Holy shit, calm the fuck down would you! It’s not like I’m gonna scratch the damn thing!

Rage: No, but you’ll get your damn fingerprints all over it and I already waxed that side!

Kittie rolls her eyes and shakes her head.

Kittie: Here I was thinking you’d be the perfect match for Roxanne…I guess I was wrong.

Rage’s nostrils flare and he glares at Kittie aftering hearing Roxanne’s name.

Rage: Don’t mention that bitch around me…EVER!

Kittie: I don’t get why you hate her so much. I mean, I get why Misty hated her, but what did Roxanne ever do—

Kittie stops herself before she is about to finish the question, as the memory of what Roxanne did to Rage hits her. She can see Rage clench his fists as he takes several steps away from his car so he doesn’t accidently put his hand through one of the windows.

Kittie: That was harmless, Rage…Hell, I think even she has forgotten about that.

Rage: SHE might have, but I sure as hell haven’t! Fuck, I should be just as pissed off at you because you were helping her all along before she came back!

Kittie shakes her head vehemently.

Kittie: I did NOT help her all along. I thought she was a delusion, and even then I didn't "help" her out. That was all on that flaming bitch, Electra!

Rage: I don’t give a shit, Kittie! You’re still associating yourself with that nasty piece of shit though aren’t you? It’s too bad she didn’t disappear along with Misty on Sunday.

Kittie frowns and pouts with her bottom lip out and all.

Kittie: Hey, Roxanne would never run with her tail between her legs like Misty obviously did!  She’s showing just how tough she really is by sticking around!  You should admire that!

Rage: Admire her?!  Kittie, did you not see the condition Misty was in after that match?  I’m pretty sure she didn’t get up and run away like some people seem to think.  I’m starting to think that Gabriel’s disappearing dust really works.

Kittie can’t help but laugh, but the look on Rage’s face shows he serious.

Kittie: Whatever you say, dude.  I still say Misty somehow got up and hightailed it out of there, but who knows when we’ll find out, right?  As for Roxanne, she’s showing how strong she is, regardless of her injuries. Why don’t you call her?  I’m sure she wouldn’t mind your company.

Kittie winks at Rage, and he rolls his eyes and growls in response.

Rage: No thanks, Kittie.  I’ve got more important things to worry about at the moment, and nursing Roxanne’s injuries is not one of them.

Kittie: Roxanne can find a way to help you focus on your title defense.  Come on, you know you want to call her.

Rage: For fuck’s sake, Kittie, give it a rest!  I’m not interested in Roxanne, and I never will be!

Kittie holds her hands up defensively, backing away.

Kittie: Alright, alright!  I surrender…for now.

Rage shakes his head and walks back over to the side of his car.  He grabs the terry cloth towel from the hood and is about to get back to working on his car, when the other familiar expensive car in the group pulls up next to Rage’s Hennessy Venom GT.  Gabriel parks his White Bugatti Veyron right next to Rage’s car, and not a minute later, he steps out of the driver’s side.  He looks at Rage, grinning as he sees the big man waxing the new car.

Gabriel: Great to see you taking good care of the batmobile, big man.  I thought for sure you would have wrecked it by now.

Rage: Christ!  Would you people quit calling it the batmobile!  Are you trying to kill it for me!

Gabriel: Hey, just having fun.  So, you getting that thing ready for our little race soon?

Kittie: What are you talking about?

Gabriel looks at Rage, half grinning, and then he looks at Kittie.

Gabriel: You mean, baldylocks here didn’t tell you?

Rage: I haven’t had the chance to, but I was getting around to it.  Trust me, I want everyone there when I beat you and your car.

Gabriel laughs, as Kittie looks at the both of them curiously.

Kittie: Okay, do either of you want to tell me what the hell you are talking about, or do I need to beat it out of one of you?!

Gabriel: The big man here thinks that the batmobile is faster than my beauty here.  He challenged me to a race, but you wanna know the kicker?

Kittie folds her arms across her chest, waiting for the answer.

Gabriel: Whoever loses, has to pay the bar tab on the cruise for Summer XXXTreme…and not just for the Sins.

Kittie: Holy shit!  You mean one of you will have to pay for drinks for the WHOLE roster?!

Gabriel nods and points at Rage.

Gabriel: Not one of us...Rage here will have to shell out the cash.  I plan to get only the finest liquor they have to offer.  You sure you have enough cash to pay for this, big man?

Rage: I won’t need it when I leave your car in the dust, bud.  Consider yourself lucky that I didn’t think to make you put your car on the line.

Gabriel and Kittie both laugh as they look at each other.

Gabriel: I won’t need luck, bud.  But you sure as hell will.  I’d love to see Angel beat you, too.

Rage clenches his fists once again, throwing the towel over his shoulder.

Rage: THAT sure as hell won’t happen.  But, we’ll find out next week, now won’t we?

Gabriel: That we will, baldy.  That we will.  Hey, since you’re done waxing the batmobile, why don’t you be a nice guy and…Wait…Strike that.  I don’t want you touching my car!

Kittie: He needs to quit worrying about that damn car and start focusing on his match against Bo on Sunday if you ask me.

Rage and Gabriel both look at Kittie, both a little confused.

Rage: Are you trying to say that I’m gonna lose to Bo?

Kittie: What?  No!  I’m just saying that it’s time to take a break from this car and focus on kicking Bo Dreamwolf’s ass and retaining your title!

Gabriel: Speaking of the title…Where is that shiny belt of yours anyway?

Rage grins in response, and he opens the passenger side door to his Venom GT.  He reaches in to the passenger seat and grabs his SCW Heavyweight Title, and drapes it over his shoulder.

Rage: Right here, bud.  Had to keep the thing within eyesight, and I didn’t want to look like an idiot by wearing it while I was waxing the car.

Gabriel: No, you just make yourself look like an idiot with all the jokes you’ve been attempting this week.  Right, we better hurry up and get inside before Despy comes to find us.  Apparently he wants to talk to us about something…

Kittie: I know what that something is, too, and hate to break it to ya, Rage…I don’t think you’re gonna be too thrilled!

Rage: What the hell are you talking about?  What is he up to now?!

Kittie just smiles, turns and then skips off toward the house.

Kittie: NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA BATMAN!

Rage: HEY!

Rage takes off after Kittie as Gabriel follows behind laughing and shaking his head.  The three disappear into Synn’s house and the scene fades away.

I’d like to take a second, if you will, to address my opponent this week…Bo Dreamwolf.  Bo, you are the very first challenger to my SCW Heavyweight Title, and if I can be honest here, I couldn’t ask for a better opponent.

You see, at least two of our opponents in the six-pack challenge at Summer XXXTreme like to fight dirty.  I can’t say much about Lucas Darby and Jordan Williams, but Nick Jones and Kain will do whatever it takes to walk away with the title.  I’m sure both of us will as well, but when it comes down to it, you’re the one who follows all the rules.  You’re the respectable one in this match.  The real deserving man to go for the title.

Now, because I respect you or think you actually deserve this shot at my title, does that mean I’ll go easy on you?  No, it doesn’t.  You want what is now mine, and I’ll fight tooth and nail to keep this title.  I’ve never faced you one-on-one, but I know what to expect from you.  I know that Austin Parker is your manager and trainer, so I don’t underestimate you one single bit.  I’m not going into this match saying I’m better than you, or being overly confident.  I’m going into this match with one goal, and you share that goal.

To walk away with the title in my possession.  You see, Bo, I just won the title just two weeks ago.  You have the chance to end my title reign and label me as the shortest reigning SCW Heavyweight Champion.  That is something I simply cannot allow.  I’ll be the laughing stock of SCW, so if I get a little rough, don’t hold it against me.  I’m fighting for what is mine.  I’m fighting to prove that my win over Nick Jones wasn’t just some fluke.  I’m fighting to prove that I deserve to be champion, and that I’m going to [b[stay[/b] the champion for a while.

Don’t give me a reason to get angry with you, Bo.  Don’t give me a reason to completely destroy you, because quite honestly, I don’t want to.  But, I will if I have to, and you know it.  I’ll go out there this Sunday and put on a good match against you, but when push comes to shove, I’ll be walking out of there as the SCW Heavyweight Champion.

This match is nothing personal, Bo…It’s just business.
