Scene 1-The pain of it all
The scene shows Ms. Rocky Mountains standing backstage with Casey Williams, planning on conducting an interview with him in regards to his upcoming match and the status of Casey Williams’ ribs, as well as other various topics.
Ms. Rocky Mountains-“Casey, thank you for taking a moment and coming out to do this interview with me. First off, how are your ribs after over a week of healing after that spear from Wyatt Peterson in that 6 man tag match?”
Casey-“They are still sore, but the doctors have told me that I can compete despite them being bruised.”
Ms. Rocky Mountains-“I see. When I asked you the other day about why you joined forces with Spike Staggs, Jordan “PS” Williams and Misty, I didn’t feel the answer you gave was clear. Could you please explain to our fans why you joined with them?”
Casey-“It is simple. I have joined them because I know what they are capable of doing, and I don’t want to be on their bad side. Not only that, Spike and Jordan have been successful singles competitors and I hope that they can help me take the next step to get the Heavyweight title, which is the only title I have never held in my career thus far.”
As soon as Casey says this, he gives an evil sounding laugh, and then takes a sip of water as Ms. Rocky Mountains gets ready to ask the next question.
Ms. Rocky Mountains-“Interesting. So the National eWrestling Alliance End of the Year awards were announced earlier today. How do you feel about being tied for first in the categories of “Best Rookie”, “Most Inproved” and “Most Underrated”?”
Casey-“Well, that is a shock that I finished on top in those 3 categories, regardless of it being a tie or not. When I heard about it, I definitely was proud to be recognized for the hard work that I have put into my craft, and that people feel that I have vastly improved in the short time that SCW has been used. I wouldn’t really call myself a rookie, but some people would. I definitely agree that I am underrated, but that is because I want to earn my way to the top by going out every week, working my ass off, and proving why I belong at the top. Yeah, I may come across as cocky, but it is more confidence that cockiness if you can back it up week in and week out, despite my 4-3 record. For me, these awards mean as much as getting the Heavyweight title, if not more, because it means my work is being noticed, even if I am not getting the title shots I rightfully deserve. To make it even better, I won more awards than Nick Jones was even nominated for, which was one, for Best Technical Wrestler, and he couldn’t even win it.”
Ms. Rocky Mountains-“Excellent. How do you feel about facing the man who got the pinfall in your 6 man tag match and tag partner in that match, Nick Jones?”
Casey-“Well, Rocky, it is like this. I will seek revenge for his costing us the match due to him getting distracted by Rix Usher/ Also, he is in the Heavyweight title match at WreestleClassic 2012 and should he win the title, I feel that I would deserve a title shot because I knocked him off before he got the title. Not only that, I am on a 2 match losing streak, granted in both matches I was not pinned, but nonetheless, I need to get back on track, and I will take the chance to get back on track against Nick Jones.”
Ms Rocky Mountains-“I can see that you need to bounce back. How do you feel about SCW going to weekly shows opposed to the bi-weekly shows that we had been running prior to last week?”
Casey-“Well, I feel it is good for the company where we have so many people that want to compete to have a weekly show, so everyone has a chance to compete, no matter how good they are. Not only that, it gives some of us who have been here from the beginning a chance to scout new talent on the chance that we get a week off or even on the weeks we compete.”
Ms. Rocky Mountains-“I see. What do you make of Nick Jones’s lack of a promo to thus point?”
Casey-“It doesn’t bother me, because I know that he will show up to the event ready to go.”
Ms. Rocky Mountains-“Interesting. I want to thank you for spending some time with me and answering my questions today.”
Casey-“It was my pleasure Rocky.”
The scene ends as Casey Williams walks away, and leaves the arena, heading back to his home to get ready for his house warming party.
Scene 2-Party time
The scene opens up inside of a large, spacious white living room with a black leather sofa with matching recliner and loveseat, a glass coffee table with matching end tables, and a plasma screen television hanging above an entertainment center. There are a few floor lamps sitting in the corners. In front of the windows sit fluffy green plants in pots. There are plenty of pictures of Casey and his family as well as pictures of him with Laura hanging on the wall. The radio is playing Casey’s theme music by Five Finger Death Punch. Off to the side is a refreshment table that offers mostly alcohol and soda and a few varieties of finger foods like chips and dips.
Casey Williams, Spike Staggs, Jordan “PS” Williams, Misty, Jim and Laura, are celebrating with Casey in his new house and enjoying the food and drinks. They are sitting down in the living room drinking mixed drinks from plastic cups. Along with the banner that reads “Welcome Home Casey” are three smaller banners. In golden letters they read “NWA Best Rookie” “NWA Most Underrated” and “NWA Most Improved”. More than a house warming, it is a celebration for the awards Casey received.
Spike walks up behind Casey and pats him on the back in congratulations. He takes a seat next to Misty on the couch, getting in close to her and handing her a drink. He leans in to kiss her making Laura smile as she rubs Casey’s leg.
Casey-“I am so glad you guys came to celebrate my buying a house here in Vegas.”
Laura-“I am glad to be here to celebrate it with ya.”
Spike-“You guys did an amazing job getting everything together. I’m no interior decorator, but I think everything looks great. I bet Laura had a lot to do with it, right?”
Jim-“I agree with Spike here. It looks real nice the way it is set up.”
Casey-“Thanks a lot guys, I am glad people enjoy the work I do outside of wrestling. So Spike, was there any other reasons why you wanted me to join the New Xtremes besides my potential?”
Spike-“No.”
Spike laughs and the rest of the group does as well, except for Casey. He looks stunned and then a little upset until Spike leans in his direction a little bit.
Spike-“I am just kidding, Casey. Sorry, I do share some of the same genetics as my brother Jamie. You have a ton of potential, but that is only part of why we all thought you would be a great addition to the New Xtremes. You have a raw power, and it just shows in your eyes. I think that you could benefit from a little bit of direction, as well as some confidence. You have skill, you just need to channel it.”
Spike takes a drink from his cup but doesn’t break his eye lock with Casey.
Spike-“You have impressed me already. If it weren’t for that jackass, Wyatt, I know you would have been there to have our backs in a heartbeat, broken ribs and all. You are fierce, just like the rest of us. You belong in our little family, and we are glad to have you bud.”
Jordan-“Here, here. Now lets get our drink on!”
As soon as Spike and Jordan say this, they all toast to Casey in a loud display to congratulate him on his success with the NWA awards as well as outside of the ring with his new home.
Casey-“I am glad to hear that I am the caliber guy you look for to work with Spike. I have heard nothing but good things about your work before your “retirement” and the fact that you are willing to help elevate my game to the next level, and to hopefully get me from being underrated to where I need to be.“
Spike-“This time next year, you won’t have to be the most Underrated in NWA, you will be among the best of NWA if we have anything to say about it. You have some work ahead of you, but we will be there for you along the way, helping each other. We will be the golden stable, with NWA awards to back us up, and championship gold around our waists. We just have to make sure that you get a good showing against Nick Jones this Sunday. I know you can do it if you just focus and put your mind to it. I will help you in training tomorrow”
Jim-“Thanks Spike, seeing what Casey and I have been doing hasn’t worked as well as I would have liked it to, especially with his bruised ribs.”
Casey-“Thanks Spike. I won’t let these bruised ribs stop me from giving it my all and proving why you made the right choice asking me above anyone else to join New Xtremes.”
As Casey says this, they all take a sip of their respective drinks. Spike leans in and high fives Casey from across the table. As he does, he grabs onto Casey’s hand, gripping it tightly as he smiles sadistically. Casey’s smile matches as they stare intensely at each other.
Spike-“There… That’s the fire that I am talking about, right there, Casey. If you can hold onto that, and focus it on your opponents, and train yourself to think of every possibility, then you might stand a chance against someone like Nick Jones.”
Casey-“Nothing is going to stop me from getting through that cocky asshole. I will focus on him even through my injury and I will show him and all of SCW why I belong in the best stable our promotion has going for them.”
Spike-“I will be watching closely. Even though Nick Jones is truthfully a bit of a joke to me, and to the rest of us, he knows about your injury and he will be focusing on it. You better be ready for that. I think you are, just don’t disappoint yourself.”
Spike releases his grip on Casey’s hand and takes his seat next to Misty. Casey bows his head taking in everything that Spike said. The silence in the room leads out as the scene fades.
Scene 3- Hatred arising
The scene opens with Casey Williams dancing in the club, stopping when he sees the camera man and decides to call out Nick Jones.
Casey-“Hey Nick, I will make you feel pain like you have never felt before. I know you think you are special because you will be competing for the Heavyweight title at WreestleClassic 2012, but if you win that title, that reign won’t last because I will be gunning for you. I will make you say “Somebody call my momma!!!” I will show you firsthand what a man as dominant as I can be, will be in this match, even with me having bruised ribs. I will prove to the world that I belong in that title match, not you.”[/i/]
As Casey says this, he takes a deep breath, and walks out the club and heads towards his house.
”You think you are that good. I will prove that you are not as good as you say you are, and I will slap that cocky grin off your face. While we are talking about your face, I would have loved to see your face when Christian Underwood denied you the SCW Heavyweight championship. I see your girl is a butterface, and unlike you, I do not surround myself with morons. Yeah, my friends may make some dumb decisions, but they are not dumb. You are just a delusional man and I will help you snap out of it when I defeat you, and proving that you are nothing special, and that I am going places in this company.“
Casey then takes a sip of water and digs out his keys, enters his house, then sits down on his comfortable leather couch after a long day of running around getting errands done and then going to the club.
”I watched GXW back in the day, and saw that your success was short-lived, and that I chose to side with the New Xtremes because, even though Spike only had one championship reign, he made it count as the longest reigning champ in the company’s history. He will offer me words of how I can tweak my game to garner the same success here in SCW. Unlike you, I have been recognized by my peers and by SCW Staff, regardless of our relationship, for the work I have done since SCW opened its doors, gaining NWA’s 2011 End of the Year awards of Best Rookie, Most Improved and Most Underrated, whereas you were only nominated for the Best Technical Wrestler, but not getting the honors. Yeah, I would love to be in the Heavyweight title picture, but I will do whatever it takes to continuously get better to the point that when I get that title, nobody, and I mean NOBODY, can beat me. “
Casey then gets up and goes to his bed room as the scene fades to black.
