(The scene opens up early in the week in the SCW medical office. Candy was sitting in a chair, waiting, as she was on a video call with her husband, Marcus Cage.)
Marcus: Any news yet?
Candy: I'm still waiting. I hope everything is OK and I'm cleared. They want to get me booked on this week's show.
Marcus: I'm sure it'll be fine. You know your body and you know what you are feeling capable of.
Candy: I know. This last concussion was the worst one I've ever had.
Marcus: It'll be fine. Trust me.
(Candy nodded as the doctor came in the room)
Candy: I will, she just came in. Love you, call you after.
(She blew a kiss and put the phone away)
Doctor: Great news, Candy. Everything came back perfect. You are in superb health. I am happy to sign your release form, with no restrictions. Welcome back!
(She signed the papers and handed them to Candy. Candy squealed a little bit as she left the office)
(The scene picks up a few hours later when Candy walks into the arena with the papers in hand, a huge grin on her face as she walks the halls. She gets stopped by Ms Rocky Mountains)
Ms Rocky Mountains: Candy!
Candy: HI!
Ms Rocky Mountains: What are you doing?
Candy: I got some medical paperwork to deliver.
Ms Rocky Mountains: Oh? You need more time off?
Candy: No! The opposite! I'm good to go!
Ms Rocky Mountains: That's great! So your match with Bea Barnheart can proceed.
Candy: You got it! I can't wait to get back in the ring here. It's been way too long.
Ms Rocky Mountains: Since we are both here, do you mind if I get a quick interview?
Candy: Of course!
(They both go to the interview area)
Ms Rocky Mountains: Thank you for joining me tonight, Candy. It's been a while since you've wrestled in SCW. Care to elaborate what happened?
Candy: Well, I was under concussion protocol for the last month or so. That was the worst concussion I ever had and it healed pretty slow. But my doctor said everything is 100% perfect. I even have my release papers and I'm ready to go.
Ms Rocky Mountains: That's fantastic! I'm sure the fans are just as excited as I am.
Candy: I hope so! I know Bea and I have fought before, and she does this stuff where she spouts out all sorts of random facts about us both. And that's really cool that she can do her research and what not. But that's not what wins matches.
Ms Rocky Mountains: In your opinion, what does?
Candy: It's simple. It's not about facts and stats and numbers. It's about heart and fun and focus. You gotta know what you are doing like, all the time. You can't stop and get distracted. You can keep know all about my title history, my past in the business, you can even tell me how many times I've faced or beaten a certain person. That does nothing to prepare you for in the ring.
Ms Rocky Mountains: That actually makes a lot of sense.
Candy: It does? WHEW! I wasn't sure it did.
Ms Rocky Mountains: So you are saying that you are fully prepared to face Bea?
Candy: I'm always ready for my matches. I prepare all the time. I don't like to be caught off guard. See, I know I'm not the smartest person around. I know I say a lot of not smart things. I'm confused… a lot. But you know the one place I don't feel like that?
Ms Rocky Mountains: In the ring?
Candy: YEAH! How did you know? Are you a mind reader? Do you have ESPN or something?
(Ms Rocky Mountains just looks at Candy blankly, blinking slightly)
Ms Rocky Mountains: Or… something. Anyways… go on
Candy: In the ring is the one place where everything makes sense. I know what I'm doing, and I can think clearly. It's like… mind bottling.
Ms Rocky Mountains: Mind bottling? Do you mean mind boggling?
Candy: No. Mind bottling. Like I can take all the doubts and bad stuff in my head and bottle it and put it away. Even if it's just for a few minutes. And that's why I'm gonna beat Bea this week. I'm returning and I really need to win. I need to start things off strong.
Ms Rocky Mountains: I get that. Getting things going in the right direction
Candy: Exactly! And I gotta go in and do this with my whole heart. Winning this match against Bea would be huge. And I'm doing it for the fans, they deserve to see a good match with a winner who really deserves it.
Ms Rocky Mountains: And Bea doesn't deserve it?
Candy: If she can beat me without cheating then I will be the first to say she deserved it. But otherwise? Not to sound like an eggo-maniac
Ms Rocky Mountains: You mean EGO manian?
Candy: That's what I said. Anyways, I'm gonna put up a heck of a fight. If Bea wants the win, she's gotta earn it.
Ms Rocky Mountains: Anything else you wanna say?
Candy: Just that I'm super excited and I can't wait for the show! Now, I'm gonna go get them my paperwork. Bye!!!
(With that, Candy skipped off down the hall)
