Scene One: The Call
*Scene fades up inside the office of the PWS:LEGACY President, a man familiar to any SCW fan, Marcus Cage. On the floor sat his wife, Candy, and their almost 4 year old child, Ruby. Ruby was playing with some barbies, making them ride Fluffy around like a majestic steed. Candy sat back and watched as her phone rang *
CANDY: Hello?
*You can't hear the voice on the other side, but Candy’s face lit up*
CANDY: HI CHRISTIAN!!!
*She stood up and excused herself from the room. Ruby kept playing with Fluffy and Barbies as Hero napped on the floor nearby. She came back in a few moments later*
MARCUS CAGE: Is everything OK?
CANDY: it's great!
MARCUS CAGE: What was the call about?
CANDY: You remember SCW, right?
MARCUS CAGE: How could I forget?
CANDY: Well that was Christian Underwood.
MARCUS CAGE: What did he want?
CANDY: Well, SCW is about to have their 400th Climax Control show… and they invited me to be a part of it.
MARCUS CAGE: That sounds fun! What did you say?
CANDY: I said I'd have to check my PWS schedule and then I'd get back to him.
MARCUS CAGE: Whatever week it is, we can give you that week off in PWS. This is a huge deal, and I know you want to do it.
CANDY: I really do. SCW was like a second home for me. I made some amazing friends, and it's where I got Hero. I want to be there to celebrate
*Marcus could see the sheer excitement on his wife's face. He got up from his desk and walked over to her*
MARCUS CAGE: Then do it. Don't worry about PWS that week. You go and do that 400th show. SCW was always good to you. Time to return the favor.
*She let out a little bit of a shriek as she hugged her husband. He kissed the top of her head before going back to his paperwork. She took out her phone and sent a quick text before putting it away. She sat down with Ruby*
RUBY: Mommy play Barbies?
CANDY: Of course, but guess what, Miss Ruby?
RUBY: What, mommy?
CANDY: In a few weeks we are gonna go visit SCW. You know who can go see?
*Ruby's eyes lit up*
RUBY: WE GO SEE KIKI AND ROCKY???
*She was, of course, referring to 2 of her favorite people in the world- Keira and Roxi.*
CANDY: Yeah!
RUBY: Kiki still have baby in her belly?
CANDY: yes, she does.
RUBY: I play with baby?
CANDY: Not yet.
RUBY: Awe
CANDY: Don't be sad! It's gonna be a lot of fun.
(Ruby went back to playing as the scene faded to black)
Scene Two: Preparations
(The scene faded up inside the living room of Marcus Cage and Candy's Las Vegas home. Spread out across the floor were a variety of items. Stuffed animals, all sorts of things fluffy and fuzzy. Candy was sitting in the middle looking very deep in thought when Marcus walked in)
MARCUS CAGE: Whatcha doing?
CANDY: I'm trying to find all the perfect weapons for my match in SCW this weekend! It's a CandyLand match! First one EVER! And they said I could help pick out weapons! I'm thinking these should be good but I want some REALLY fun stuff!
(Marcus chuckled a bit at his wife's enthusiasm)
MARCUS CAGE: Why don't we go to the toy store and see what kind of like, nerf weapons we can find?
(Her eyes lit up)
CANDY: THAT'S GEEEEEEENIUS!
(She jumped up off the floor and planted a kiss on his cheek.)
CANDY: I wanna get ALL the stuff. Everything we can find. Then I'm gonna put it all under the ring! It's gonna be PERFECT!
MARCUS CAGE: That sounds great. Ruby is asleep right now, so we can go when she wakes up.
CANDY: YAY! Gives me time to work on my glitter bombs!
(Candy skips off into the other room when her phone rings. She answers and puts it on speaker phone)
CANDY: HI CARMEN!
CARMEN DELGADO: Hey Candy. You busy?
CANDY: Just getting ready to make my glitter bombs for my CandyLand match in SCW. You still coming?
CARMEN DELGADO: Wouldn't miss it. You got my ticket?
CANDY: Of course I did! Front row! Gotta have my bestie cheering me on.
CARMEN DELGADO: Perfect! Are you all prepared for the match?
CANDY: I think so. Despy is gonna have so much fun teaming up with me. He hasn't wrestled in a long time if I'm right. But that's ok! It's been a while for me too until PWS came back.
CARMEN DELGADO: You doing OK after that Inferno match?
CANDY: Yeah. A few minor burns but nothing major. I'll be 100% and ready to go for that 400 show!
CARMEN DELGADO: Good, because those Barnharts don't have a chance against you guys. You've beaten what's her face before.
CANDY: I have. I haven't competed in scw in a hot minute tho. Do you think the crowd remembers me?
CARMEN DELGADO: How could they forget you? You are the creator of the Glitter Bomb match.
CANDY: That's true!
CARMEN DELGADO: You held that Women's Roulette title for what… like 6 months?
CANDY: I did!
CARMEN DELGADO: You were even GM for a while while Christian took a vacation… and it was the most interesting time in the company… won you an award!
CANDY: YEAH!!
CARMEN DELGADO: So who is gonna win?
CANDY: I AM!!
CARMEN DELGADO: DAMN STRAIGHT!!
CANDY: Thank you, Carmen! I'm pumped up now!
CARMEN DELGADO: What's a bestie for?
(Candy smiled big as the scene faded)
Scene Three: Let Me In!
(The cameras fade up outside the arena, specifically the employee entrance, where Candy was trying to get in but the security guard wasn't letting her in. Candy has a big box in her hands that is full of different “weapons”.)
CANDY: It's me, Candy! I have match this weekend and I just wanted to put some stuff under the ring!
SECURITY GUARD: I can't let you in.
CANDY: But whhhhhy? These aren't REAL weapons. They are foam, for my Candy Land match!
SECURITY GUARD: I still can't let you in.
CANDY: But I got a match! I gotta go team up with Despy against the Barnharts! You GOTTA let me in.
SECURITY GUARD: It's not that.
CANDY: But… please?
(She began to pout. The security guard let out a sigh and crossed his arms.)
SECURITY GUARD: Still can't let you in.
(Candy stomps her foot, angry)
CANDY: WHY. NOT.
SECURITY GUARD: Because things aren't fully set up, only staff and stage crew are allowed to enter today. Try again tomorrow.
(Candy pouted as she turned around and walked away with her box of “weapons” in hand. She goes over to her car and sets the box in the trunk. She gets in the front seat and is attacked by a lick fest from Fluffy. Yes, the windows were down. Yes, it was in the shade. No, the dogs were not in any danger while she was in.)
CANDY: Fluffy!!!
(Curled up in the back seat was Hero, who joined in on the love fest. As if they knew their momma was upset.)
CANDY: You guys are the best. Let's relax a little before we go back to the hotel.
(She rolled up the windows and turned on the AC. She turned on the radio softly and leaned her seat back a bit. Fluffy curled up on her lap, and Hero sat on the front seat putting his paw on her lap. She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths.)
b]VOICE:[/bHey… HEY… wake up!
(Candy's eyes flutter open and she has Fluffy right in her face. The voice sounds very similar to Julie Andrews… I can neither confirm nor deny if it's her or not. Use your imagination, people)
FLUFFY: Hey! Wake up!
CANDY: I'm awake… what do you… Fluffy?
FLUFFY: Good Morning, sleepy head.
CANDY: Is everything OK?
(She hears another voice, this one sounds exactly like Patrick Stewart. Again… use your imagination. She looked over and saw that Hero was the one talking.)
b]ANOTHER VOICE:[/b Don't mind Fluffy, she's cranky.
FLUFFY: I am not! I just want to make sure that Candy here is actually ready to team up with Desparye on the 400th show.
HERO: Oh cut her some slack. She's ready and you know it.
FLUFFY: Do I? DO I? She may think she's ready… but is she REALLY?
HERO: Oh calm down, you're being crazy.
FLUFFY: You are being too calm. Candy hasn't competed for an SCW crowd since September of 2022. That's almost 2 years. She should be in the ring preparing for the match.
HERO: She's got this. Her partner is good, and her opponents are not.
FLUFFY: You say that, but she doesn't have the best record against Bea. 1-2. Look it up.
HERO: That was then. This is now. It's not like she's rusty.
(Candy watched back and forth in shock as Fluffy and Hero argued.)
CANDY: You guys can talk? SINCE WHEN!?
FLUFFY: Don't worry about it. Now, you got yourself some fun weapons for this match but remember, it's about more than that. Besides, how much damage is a pillow or a foam sword gonna do?
HERO: You gotta get creative. Maybe she could stuff something hard and heavy into the pillow.
FLUFFY: That's the first useful thing you've said all day. Now, Candy, I need you to focus. This match is important. I know you are coming off of a big loss in PWS… but you can't let that keep you down.
CANDY: I'm not upset I lost to Jack. He deserved it.
HERO: He did not…
CANDY: I know this is an important match. I'm not worried though! I'm just gonna go out there and have fun! It doesn't matter who wins, as long as the fans enjoy it.
FLUFFY: That's dumb.
CANDY: What?
FLUFFY: If you aren't in it to win it… then why are you even in the business?
HERO: She has a point…
CANDY: To entertain the fans. I love getting them chanting and everything. It's what this is all about. I don't care about wins and losses.
FLUFFY: You are too pure for this business.
HERO: She really is.
*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*
(Candy's eyes flutter open quickly as she was in her car. The knock that woke her up was a security guard)
SECURITY GUARD: Miss… you gotta move along. This is a reserved parking spot.
CANDY: Ok ok… I'm leaving.
(She sat Fluffy on the seat next to her and the security guard walked away. She looked over at the pups who were tilting their heads and flapping their tongues)
CANDY: Uh… did you guys talk to me?
(Fluffy and Hero both bark and wag their tails)
CANDY: I gotta watch the caffeine before a nap. That was wild.
(She started the car as the scene faded to black)
