Title: Flame ON, Sin City!
Post by: Ace on July 19, 2024, 02:35:54 AM
The scene opens up on a nice simple skyline shot of a west coast sunset, with the sun just starting to slip away below the horizon, and casting an orangeish hue across the ocean. Panning back, the scene reveals Travis Levitt standing at the edge of his balcony. The Dragon has a tumbler in hand, and a wistful look in his eyes as he watches the sun setting down, until a noise from behind breaks his reverie, and he half turns, smiling as he sees his teenage daughter Desiree. Desiree steps up beside him, snaking an arm around him, and Travis looks at her for a moment before chuckling.

”You need to stop growing. I’m only a few inches taller then you now.”

”You’ve got nobody to blame but yourself. Those pesky Levitt genes again.

”How do you know? Your mother could have been a ten foot sasquatch. Maybe your height comes from her.’

”Was she a sasquatch? Is that why you won’t tell me about her? Worried I’d find out about your beastiality kink?”

”Thats exactly it, yep. Couldn’t let you know Daddy’s biggest darkest secret. I like em big and growly. The hairier the better.”

There’s a moments pause between Father and Daughter, each staring out as the sun finishes going down. They wait for just an extra moment or two, and then turn to look at each other. Travis watches her for a moment, but the smirk tugging at his lips gives the game away and Desiree starts laughing, which sets Travis off into fits of laughter as well. Desiree punches Travis gently in the shoulder before shaking her head smiling.

”Sure. You can’t ACTUALLY tell me what Mum was like, but you can tease me about it.”

”I told you Desi. When you are old enough to drink, I’ll tell you then. You’ll need alcohol to cope.”

”Some parents recommend therapy. Toughing it out. Taking time off for mental reasons. My Dad recommends the bottle.”

”Cheaper then a therapist. More rewarding then toughing it out.”

Travis raises his glass to toast his daughter, and then sips from his whiskey. Desiree watches him for a moment before stepping away and crossing her arms.

”You are going to tell me about her, right?”

Travis turns to look at Desiree, watching her for a moment before sighing. Glancing back out at the last of the sunset, he finished off his drink and then turned around, looking at Desiree once more.

”Yeah. Its just…..complicated. Your mother…..No. Not yet.”

Travis shakes his head and sighs, heading for the doorway, with Desiree watching him for a moment and then following him back inside. The Dragon crosses back to the doorway, looking to head downstairs when Desi’s voice catches him again.

”I’m not a little girl any more, Dad.”

Travis stops mid-stride, turning slowly to look back at Desiree. She meets his gaze and steps slowly forward, watching him intently, even as she crosses her arms over her chest

”When I was younger and asked, you would always tell me when I was old enough to understand, you’d tell me. Uncle Reece and Aunt Sarah didn’t know, or they probably WOULD have told me already. All those years where you weren’t around, they watched me grow up, mature, and understand it. They know I’m old enough to handle anything. Its just YOU that needs to realise that.”

Desiree reaches her Dad who has turned to face her, his hands idly resting by his side as he gazes down into her eyes. Looking away at the look in her eyes for a moment, Desiree’s voice is a mixture of pleading and honesty as she speaks.

”Please Dad. I…..I have to kn—”

”Your mother killed a man.”

There’s a moments silence as the words echo quietly through the room before Travis glances back up to see Desiree’s face. Travis’ own eyes are filled with sorrow and anguish as he looks at Desiree who takes a half-step back stumbling.

”W—What? She……What?”

”Killed a man. And possibly herself. No bodies were ever recovered.”

Travis lets out a sigh, looking down at his empty glass and then back up at Desiree with a small head shake.

”Anyway. Like I said. When you can drink, I’ll fill you in. I have to go do some camera stuff for Sin City.”

Travis turns to head for the stairs and a sputtering voice comes from behind.
”W—WAIT! You ca—can’t just drop that a—and then just walk away.”

”Sure I can. Its called a cliffhanger. Goodnight Sweetheart.”

Travis then turns and heads down the stairs and the scene cuts to black.

—---

The scene cuts to a simple shot. ‘The Dragon’ Travis Levitt standing in front of a simple dark wall, displaying the logo of his Dragon’s Den gym. Travis is dressed in a simple leather jacket, playing black shirt, and some denim jeans, as well as a giant grin as he points at the camera.

”Sin City, its time to FLAME ON, DRAGONITES!”

Travis throws a punch at the screen and then pumps it back and throws it high. Its his usual little gesture these days.

So, This week is number 400 for Climax Control. A big week for Sin City and a huge number for any company to reach. I’d tip my cap, but I don’t wear one. What I DO though, is wrestle. And it is an honor and a privilege to saddle on in and give the Sin City fans another show. Its been a lot of years since I stepped foot in a Sin City ring, but you better BELIEVE that I’m excited for this chance. 400 shows in the record books, and here’s little ol’ me, just a name from the past, getting a chance to entertain oncre more.”

“I’d like to stand here and tell you things have changed. That the man you see before you is an entirely different animal to the one that left. But the truth is, this Ol’ Dragon is NEVER going to change. I slip my boots on the same way, I step out on that stage with the same grin, I put the same sized boot in all sorts of new faces…..Nah, this old dog doesn’t worry about new tricks or fancy new toys. He just worries about how much longer he gets to play with the rest of the dogs. There’s a wood shed, and a good boy treat waiting out there some day for me, but until a day when  get called behind it, you better BELIEVE that this Dragon is going to fight with all he’s got.”

Travis chuckles and then glances left and slowly back to the camera.

”And THAT brings me to my challenge this week. The Man they call KAIN! And holy HELL what a name to bring me in against. See, I did a dive down the ol’ record books, and what I know is, Kain is a Grand Slam winner. A huge name from the annuls of SCW history, and he heard about the return just like I did, and he asked to come back as well. Bada Bing. Bada Boom. And we gots ourselves a MATCH.”

“Now, there’s no long history of hatred. No blood feud rekindling. No epic encounter in a long series or a war. This is just two men coming into the Kia Forum and looking to put an EPIC match for the Sin City fans. This is a milestone, a great encounter from two legends that know how to entertain between those six corners and three ropes. I’m looking forward to this challenge, almost solely because Kain WAS a SCW World Champion. Its like the test I always wanted, to face one of Sin City’s best and see how I measure up. And this week at 400, I’m going to show SCW just how GOOD I can be. See you there, Dragonites.”

Travis starts to step away but then stops himself and turning back to the camera, a chuckle escaping his throat.

”Oh. And Alexander Raven? I heard you were planning to come down and watch the show. I really hope you do. Because I’ll show you, that while I may not have been in a Sin City ring in a while, I have lost NONE of my steps. Who knows Alexander, but if this little match with Kain just strokes that itch, gets me willing to come back more often…I might just be willing to test my luck. Be seeing you, Champ.”

And with a final wink, The Dragon turns to step away and the scene cuts to black.
