We cut to Harper in her hotel room, still feeling the effects of having Seleana Zdunich launched into her from earlier in the night.
”In wrestling, a main goal is to get noticed, whether it’s by a big promotion looking for their next big star, your boss looking for potential future title challengers or, in my case, old enemies of Jessie who want to take any grievance they have with her out on me.” Harper stated as she shook her head. ”Even when Jessie’s out on maternity leave! We saw it back in December when I had that mini feud with Mercedes Vargas and now, about seven months later give or take? We’re seeing it again but with a returning Alicia Lukas.” Harper lets out a deep breath. ”Boy oh boy, does she have history with my cousin!”
Harper shakes her head.
”And now she’s come back, calling me a nepotism baby of all things, for what? Because Jessie got me that contract? I worked just as hard as any other new Bombshell on the scene to prove myself, up to and including challenging Tempest to a match to prove that I was ready for a match against Bobbie for the Bombshell Roulette Title back in February so yeah! I take exception to that! But you want to know but I irritated me more Alicia?
Getting attacked unprovoked, I was there to scout you for our match at Summer XXXTreme, not get a gown woman launched into me from a Powerbomb position! The fact that you were ready to go over Selena with a chair just justified my retaliation even more!”
Harper lets out a deep breath.
”That brings me to this week’s match! After that handicap match bullshit I just wanted a nice, normal match where I could at least try to bounce back and I told the bosses as such! I wouldn’t have cared if it were a match against someone like Nakita or hell, even Ms, Manners and I got my wish, I’m opening next week’s Climax Control against Prudence Pierce, don’t recognize the name? Well, she’s better known as Ruby Steele.
Yeah, THAT Ruby Steele! I guess she decided to start wrestling under her real name at some point but we’ll see if she’s the same Bombshell who won the 2021 Blast from the Past Tournament or not! Either way? I hope Alicia’s watching because I want to send her a message through this match: I am not a nepotism baby I’ve worked hard for everything I have including my SCW Contract and more importantly? It’s going to take more than a Hall of Fame Ring to impress me!”

Jessie’s home, Las Vegas, Nevada
Monday the 1st of July 2024, 13:00pm
Following the events of Climax Control we see Harper at Jessie’s home talking with her heavily pregnant older cousin.
”Have to hand it to you Harp, you know how to make the last couple of months of my pregnancy interesting.” Jessie quipped sarcastically as Harper joined her in the living room. ”And I’m not even talking about that handicap match either.”
”Yeah, for one thing if I had a say in my match for the Queen for a Day Climax Control? A handicap match against a current and former champion would be the last thing on my list! Never mind the fact that it was my against Callaway and DiMaria!” Harper responded as she shook her head and Jessie nodded in agreement. ”And as for Alicia? I just went out there to get some things off my chest regarding that handicap match! I wasn’t expecting Alicia to interrupt me.”
”And you should know the history between me and Alicia, saying that it isn’t pretty is an understatement.” Jessie nodded in agreement as she shifted her weight. ”Think the one win I have over her was that Fatal Four Way against Dani Weston and Seleana Zdunich, the one that led to me challenging Andrea for the Bombshell Internet Title at 2022’s Inception PPV.”
”Yeah, I remember that match, jury’s out on whether it counts as a win against Alicia since Seleana took the pin but still.” Harper nodded in response to and Jessie grinned. ”To this day I wish I were a fly on the wall of the boss’s office just to see the look on Mark and Christian’s face when you won.”
”I have to admit, that was one of those moments where I wish SCW’s production truck had switched to the inside of Mark and Christian’s office.” Jessie commented with a chuckle and Harper shook her head. ”Getting back on topic, Alicia’s main gripe against you is that you’re a nepotism baby in her eyes, that you only got the contract because of my influence as an SCW Hall of Famer.”
”That’s the basic gist of it, yeah,” Harper responded before she took a deep breath. ”Or at least it was until I decided to ask if I could join commentary for her return match.”
”I’ll give Alicia credit for creativity, launching someone from a powerbomb position into another person while they are seated behind the announcer’s desk is pretty fucking creative.” Jessie commented with a smirk as she leaned back. ”And you retaliating with the Masonline Special was a chef’s kiss moment if I’ve ever seen it! Question is, how does she retaliate?”
”That’s a great question! I asked for a match this week to try to get some momentum back after my first winless cycle and that handicap match fiasco, to say nothing of my opponent Prudence Pierce.” Harper added and Jessie started trying to remember who that was. ”Also known as: Ruby Steele.”
”Because of course, she’s returning under a new name! The Steeles go through as many name changes as Crystal fucking Zdunich!” Jessie responded as she shook her head. ”Don’t worry too much about Ruby, her only claims to fame are being one of the luckiest Blast from the Past Winners ever and being one of Krystal’s first rivals in SCW, unless she’s improved since then? You should be fine, it’s Alicia you need to worry about.”
”And if Alicia’s anything like you? The payback won’t be pretty.” Harper responded as she let out a deep breath. ”So I take it Summer XXXTreme is off the cards? No pun intended?”
”I’ll see how I feel closer to the date, if there’s one thing they don’t teach you about bring pregnant in sex ed, it’s how fucking tired you feel towards the end!” Jessie admitted as she shook her head and Harper nodded. ”Even if I make the cruise? I doubt I’ll have the energy to host karaoke this year.”
”I figured I’d ask just in case but yeah, that makes sense.” Harper admitted with a nod before the topic drifted elsewhere.
Harpin’ On With Harper, Jessie’s Home Gym, Las Vegas, Nevada

We see Harper sitting on the matt of Jessie’s ring with her legs crossed as she starts her second vlog.
”On one hand being related to Jessie does have its ups, like having access to her home gym where I can train for as long as I want within reason without being constrained to business hours, on the other hand? I’m instead limited to not staying here past Jessie’s bed time and this probably just adds more fuel to Alicia’s nepotism baby crap!” Harper shakes her head. ”But on the subject of Alicia, I asked one simple question after I retaliated against her last night on Climax Control: Do I Have Your Attention Now?
And off course Alicia got defensive because she got shown up by a wrestler who won’t be able to drink legally until next September!”
Harper blows a stray strand of hair out of her eyes.
”Am I expecting Alicia to retaliate this Sunday? Off course, wrestling has long operated on the old “eye for an eye” mentality when it comes to feuds like the one between me and Alicia! Never mind the fact that the full saying is “an eye for an eye makes the whole world go blind” and yeah, I’ve been guilty of that myself, before that non-title match with Kayla the closest I got to the World Bombshell Title was when I cost Mercedes her title shot against Julianna back in December, never mind my actions last Sunday!” Harper shakes her head as she leans back. ”I’ll do a bit of a deep dive into what I really meant when I asked Alicia if I have her attention yet in my third vlog, but until then? I do have an opponent to talk about.
And Ruby? Your return may as well have you labelled as a bit player in me and Alicia’s rivalry.”
Harper stands up and stretches her free arm.
”Because much like Seleana last night? You happen to be facing someone else’s rival, of course you have your own history with Alicia and it isn’t pretty is it?” Harper asked as she brushed some hair over her shoulder. ”Almost feels like I’m caught in the middle of the beef between three Bombshells from SCW’s past in a way! But the important thing is Ruby? Is that I have a lot more to gain from winning this match, this is just your return match but me? This is about my comeback! After four losses in a row I’m getting back in the winner’s circle.
And I’ll be damned if Alicia has anything to say about it otherwise!”

It’s Independence Day in America and Harper is at Josh’s home for a BBQ with her two dogs and her kid siblings.
”Thanks for having me over Josh.” Harper thanked Josh as she took a sip of her drink in the backyard and Logan and Xavier had a sniff around. ”With Jessie deciding to forgo a 4th July celebration I would’ve died of boredom otherwise.”
“It’s fine Harper and you deserve a chance to relax.” Josh assured her and Harper grinned. “What with the recent troubles with Alicia and all.”
”Don’t even get me started, otherwise I might ruin the mood.” Harper grumbled as she shook her head and Josh nodded in agreement. ”Between that and Ruby’s return match on Sunday I seem to be a magnet for returning bombshells recently! And with Climax Control 4000 coming up in two weeks? I bet I’ll find myself across the ring from another one!”
“Wouldn’t surprise me, just look at how many SCW legends you were facing at first.” Josh nodded in agreement before he handed Harper a burger which she happily took, “We don’t even know who’s going to return for CC 400 outside of Caleb Storms but there’s bound to be a few.”
”As long as it’s not Amber Ryan or Masque I’m not complaining!” Harper responded with a shudder before she started eating her burger. ”How’s the food guys?”
“Really good thanks!” Harper’s younger sister responded with an enthusiastic nod and Harper grinned as her younger brother nodded in agreement. “Thanks Mr. Acquin.”
”Careful McKenzie, you’re gonna make him feel old at this rate!” Harper responded with a grin and Josh chuckled.
Harpin On With Harper, Harper’s loft, Las Vegas, Nevada

Here we go.
”What is it with returning/older Bombshells and trying to make it all about them huh? Alicia returned and immediately accused me of being a nepotism baby when I have worked just as hard as anyone else, if not harder, to make my name in the division?” Harper shakes her head as she rests her head on her hand. ”Alcia, when I asked if I have your attention now, it wasn’t because of the attack, not entirely at least, because I wanted to make one thing clear.
Yeah, I’m Jessie’s younger cousin but I’m also just as much as a fighter as her and I carry her hot headedness in the ring too! I wasn’t going to take that unprovoked attack lying down and the fact that you were clearly going to attack Seleana with a chair further justified it! So don’t act like you’re the innocent party in this when you were the one who came after me! I wanted you to know that I wasn’t going to fall by the wayside because of one attack, and when we do wrestle? You will know the name Harper Mason!
And my match on Sunday may be Ruby’s return match but she’s just a stepping stone to me.”
Harper shakes her head.
”Why do you think I’ve been calling her by Ruby instead of Prudence? Because I doubt I’ll be the only one who does this going forward, she may want to go by Prudence Pierce but that sounds like the most stereotypical English Teacher name ever, not a wrestler! At least Ruby Steele is memorable!” Harper added as she ran a hand through her hair. ”and after I beat her on Sunday? I’ll be ready for whatever retaliation Alicia has in store for me, or at least as much as I can be after a hard fought match.
Because let’s face it, someone like Alicia won’t let the blow to her ego go unanswered!”
It’s that simple.
”After all, I’m related to another SCW Hall of Famer and her ego’s even more fragile than ever! And Ruby? You may be hungry for a win in your return but against me? That won’t help you much!” Harper stated as she folded her arms. ”Because trust me, I have dreams of being a champion in SCW and I’m still climbing the ladder to get there, this match against Ruby is just another stop on the road and Alicia’s a big road block.”
And with that Harper decided to wrap things up.
”Alicia, I hope you’re watching closely on Sunday because I’m going to show you just how motivated I am to get back on the winning track! Ruby. Prudence, whatever your name is, don’t come into this expecting an easy match.” Harper added as she flipped some hair over her shoulder. ”Because that will be your first mistake! Why? Because the world needs a new hero and her name is “The Slaytanic Avenger” Harper Mason! Ruby? See you on Sunday at “Starting From The Bottom Again Part III: Do I Have Your Attention Now?”, Alicia? Wath closely!”
Harper turns off the webcam as the scene fades.
