Tallyn lies in her hotel bed, staring up at the ceiling in her hotel room. The day had been utterly exhausting. She had spent six hours in the morning running and at the GO gym to try to prepare herself for Sunday’s match against Sam Marlowe but now, she couldn’t even talk herself into getting up to go wonder through the hotel. As if even that was an experience of sorts anyways; she knew most every nook and cranny of the place and was beginning to grow even more bored with the quarantine lifestyle.
She thought about messaging Donovan to see if he wanted to do something but even that, at the moment, didn’t sound like it would consist of anything but sex and drinking. Not that she was opposed to that because that was hardly the case when it came to Donovan and herself. She just felt blah.
She jumps when her phone begins to ring and she looks at it to see that it was a video call request coming in from her sister Tesla. She had been avoiding the younger girl’s calls and messages ever since Tatum had died from the car accident. But she supposed that it had been nearly a month since Tatum had passed away, and felt that she couldn’t avoid Tesla for forever, so she presses the button to accept the video call request.
TESLA: “Tally! Oh my god….I’ve been trying to get ahold of you for a month now…”
Tallyn looks at her younger sister’s face and feels nothing but anger and resentment toward her. She knew that logically, she shouldn’t place the blame on Tesla because it was just a freak accident. But she was still so mad at her. Tallyn had been the one to take care of all of her siblings when she was growing up and when her Dad kicked her out over a year ago, she had made sure that Tesla was going to be the one to watch out for Tatum. Clearly, she didn’t.
TALLYN: “Well, clearly I didn’t want to talk to you.”
Tally doesn’t missed the hurt look that passes over Tesla’s face and Tally just shrugs her shoulders, not caring that it was probably a harsh reaction.
TESLA: “Tal…”
Tally just looks at her, a blank look in her own eyes as she looks at her younger sister. She takes a deep breath and slowly lets it out.
TALLYN: “Tes.”
The nickname came out flat and as if she was uninterested about what Tesla had to say. But Tally had to admit she missed Teddy; he was choosing to stay in Florida for an extended amount of time to help out their father. His father? Tallyn didn’t technically consider him her father as she had been the one taking care of Theo, Tesla, and Tatum.
TESLA: “Tally, you can’t just...you can’t just cut me out of your life! I’m your sister!”
Tallyn just shakes her head as she looks at the distress on her sister’s face. Tallyn knew that she should care about her sister more and be worried about her sister’s own mental health and well being but she couldn’t shake the angry feeling.
TALLYN: “So was Tatum, Tesla. And clearly, you are--were too selfish to even give a fuck about her.”
Tallyn again doesn’t miss the pained look that crosses her sister’s face. She knew that she couldn’t help it because Tatum had been special to Tally; their bond had been unbreakable until her father kicked her out.
TESLA: “Tally, please….I’m sorry!”
The tears splash down Tesla’s face as she tries to plead to Tallyn about forgiving her.
TALLYN: “You think a weak apology is going to mean anything, Tes? That doesn’t bring Tatum back! She’s fucking dead and there’s absolutley nothing you can say that will bring her back!”
TESLA: “I was watching her, Tally! She just ran out into the street!”
Tallyn shakes her head, knowing that was Tesla was lying because her father had said something completely different. Tesla had been on the phone with a boy and Tatum had just left the house, without any qualms about it.
TALLYN: “You know lying to me isn’t going to get you on my good side, Tesla. Dad already told me what had happened. And to think, Tesla, a boy was more important than Tatum’s life. That is going to be something that you will have to live with for the rest of your life.”
TESLA: “I...he! I’m sorry! Please, just...I need my sister, Tally…”
Tallyn watches as the tears start to spill down her sister’s cheeks and she rolls her eyes at it. She didn’t care if she was being heartless about it.
TALLYN: “No, Tes. I’m not...I’m not ready to really talk to you about this or anything else concerning Tatum, okay? I’m not ready to hear how your social life was interrupted with watching Tatum. She was our sister and she was important too. I have to go, Donovan is here.”
She doesn’t give Tesla time to protest as she hits the red button. Tesla would also know that Donovan wasn’t there and that Tally just didn’t have anything left to say to her at that time. She tosses her phone to the floor before sighing, getting that itch again. She had really tried to stay away from it; knowing that it messed her focus up but Asher was just...too tempting. And all she had to do to get what she wanted from him, was giving him a little bit of attention and it was an easy score.
TALLYN: “Fuck it. Nobody gives a shit anyways.”
Tallyn pushes herself up and pulls on a pair of yoga pants and a hoodie before shoving her feet into her tennis shoes. She grabs her phone and the rest of the necessities before leaving her hotel room. She smiles at people in the hallways as she heads to the elevator to go down to the lobby. She was becoming a little more comfortable with coming and going, even though several people enjoyed giving her dirty looks. And they were also becoming easier and easier to ignore as well.
--
Hours later, Tallyn walks into the hotel again, giggling and clearly out of sorts as she makes her way to the elevator. She was alone and seemed to be struggling to walk straight as she hums to herself. She presses the up button on the elevator before trying to wait as patiently as she could. But her patience was running out, so she jams her thumb into the up button again and does so a few more times and then smiles triumphantly when the door opens and she’s able to step into the elevator.
TALLYN: “Thank you, jerk.”
She didn’t care that the elevator was an inanimate object and definitely wouldn’t be talking back to her but it didn’t bother her at all. She presses the number of her floor before pressing the shut doors button and then leans against the wall and closes her eyes once the machine begins to move up to the floor she was staying on.
It didn’t take her long before she was getting off the elevator and beginning to walk down the hallway and she stops when she sees Theo leaning against her hotel room’s door. She sighs, figuring either her father or her sister sent him here to talk to her. She didn’t hold anything against him; how could she? He had been here when the tragic accident happened and so, there was no blame to be shared with him.
TALLYN: “Did Dad send you back to watch over me?”
She hadn’t meant to practically the spit the words out at him but she couldn’t help it. She had thought he had planned on staying in Florida to support both her father and Tesla during this tragedy.
THEO: “I guess technically you could say that, Tally. But not really to watch over you; everybody knows that you’re not about to let anybody take care of you.”
TALLYN: “Damn right. I’ve always taken care of myself.”
Tallyn unlocks the hotel door and walks inside, letting Theo follow behind her. She wanted to hold a grudge against him because he was ruining her high and killing it with ease. But he was her brother and now, her only sibling that she cared about.
THEO: “Tesla feels really bad, Tally. She hates herself for letting it happen and not watching Tatum better…”
TALLYN: “Good. She should. Fucking choosing a boy over her own fucking sister.”
The thought even pissed her off and she grabs an empty bottle of tequila and throws it at the wall. She hadn’t even realized that the thought alone was enough to make her cry. She was tired of crying but she didn’t know when the tears were going to stop.
THEO: “You shouldn’t hold it against her, Tal. She already feels bad enough…she doesn’t need you to hold your own grudge against her.”
Tally rolls her eyes at her brother as she keeps her back to him, tears trailing down her cheeks. She wanted to stop feeling so miserable. She had thought that the booze and drugs would numb it down but it was only a temporary fix.
TALLYN: “Yeah, well that’s what you think, Teddy. I can’t forgive her for choosing a boy over her own sister. Do you think I fucking enjoyed having to waste my entire teenaged years to care for her and Tatum? No. But did I fucking do it? Yes because I fucked loved them and I wanted them to be able to live normally. But guess what, Theo? Tatum doesn’t get to do that anymore because of Tesla’s selfish decision. So she can continue to feel miserable, I won’t stop her.”
THEO: “When did you turn into such a bitch, Tallyn? This...this isn’t you.”
Tallyn just stares at the curtains that were closed over the window and she just simply shrugs her shoulders at him. She didn’t want to think about the changes she had gone through in the past month. It wasn’t worth it. It wasn’t worth feeling like she wasn’t worth shit.
TALLYN: “This...is what happens when she killed my baby sister, Teddy. The old me? She’s gone and you’re going to have to accept that this is me now. And you can either fucking get on board with it or you can get the fuck out of here.”
Tallyn didn’t wait to see what he chose as she walks into the bathroom and slams the door shut behind her. She couldn’t deal with it anymore and just wanted to not feel. Thankfully, Asher had given her some to go.

-ONcamera-
Tallyn is sitting in front of her laptop, dressed in a simple purple tank top with the straps of her black lacey bra being visible. She was set to just record her own promo and then post it on the sight. No special effects, no nothing. She just didn’t have the oomph for that this week. She adjusts the laptop’s screen to adjust the camera before pressing the record button.
TALLYN: “I wish I could say that I had better news…”
She runs her fingers through her dark locks before looking at the camera.
TALLYN: “But I sit here in front of you, just thinking about what Sunday is going to produce. Sure, it will produce a killer show. But what about for me? Do I think that I have it in the bag for Sunday? Absolutely not. Do I give a fuck if I do?”
She gives the camera a blank look.
TALLYN: “Absolutely fucking not. It would fit right in with the way my month has been going. Might as well make it another loss for me because who the fuck cares? Surely not me.”
She lets out a breath and leans back in the chair, just staring at the camera with a blank look in her eyes. She was too high to give a fuck about what was coming out of her mouth.
TALLYN: “Should I be thrilled to be going up against a SCW veteran such as Sam Marlowe? Yes, probably. But am I? Abso-fucking-lutely not.”
The look on her face completely said that she didn’t care about what was happening. She didn’t care that she could definitely get in trouble for this video either. She was at that point where it didn’t really matter.
TALLYN: “I wish I could say that I had more oomph in me for Sunday but I really don’t. It’s going to be a shitshow of a match and I’m not exactly thrilled about it. This might get me in trouble but who cares? What are they going to do? Fire me? Go ahead. It’s not like that would make things better or worse either. The way my life is going right now? Might as well add that to the list of things that could go wrong.”
She hadn’t been able to pull herself out of her own funk since the previous day. The way that Theo had yelled at her after she came out of the bathroom high as a kite hadn’t really bothered her until she was sober. And now, she was just done with it.
TALLYN: “Fine me? Go ahead. Suspend me? Go ahead. Nothing will matter because there is nothing that will make what I am feeling right now worse.”
She moves her left leg up and wraps her arms around it and props her chin on her knee.
TALLYN: “Sam, I’m sure you’re a great person. Albeit, too fucking happy all the time but nonetheless, I’m sure that you’re a wonderful person. And a great competitor…”
She shrugs her shoulders.
TALLYN: “And to be fair, you probably deserve a better opponent than myself right now. But let’s get into this so I can go back to bed, shall we?”
She rubs her forehead before clicking a link on her phone and reading something on it before setting her phone down on the desk.
TALLYN: “You have some really great accomplishments in SCW, Sam. Good for you. But you seem to be a let down once you’ve won a championship. I haven’t really figured out why but it seems like you can’t hold onto them for long periods of time. Is there a logical reason for that? No, probably not. Maybe you just fucking suck more than what management wants people to believe.”
She shrugs her shoulders.
TALLYN: “But let’s face it, Sam...your biggest win of your career is when you beat the unbeatable, Mikah at My Bloody Valentine. And I forget which number it was, but it doesn’t matter. Nobody even gives a shit about that anymore. But let’s think, Sam…”
She taps her finger to her bottom lip a couple of times.
TALLYN: “Did you beat Mikah because you’re better than her? Or did you beat Mikah because she let you win? Because you don’t look more impressive than she was or is, even. I know she’s just Hot Stuff Mark Ward’s personal assistant, but I guarantee that she would beat you if she were to come back. So, let’s think about it again...were you really a better wrestler than her at that time? No, definitely not. I definitely believe that she let you win because she was tired of all those fucking sheep in the back throwing a tantrum like mother fucking two olds because they couldn’t beat her…”
She just shrugs her shoulders.
TALLYN: “And this isn’t me saying I’m a fan of Mikah because that woman is a bitch and probably has done a lot of fucked up things in her career. But you can’t deny that she is the best that SCW had to offer when she was competing. She was what a Bombshell should be but yet, I don’t see her getting any sort of credit around her. Everybody acts like her title reign wasn’t that big or that important. They just kind of brush her accomplishments under the rug and act like it was nothing. But yet somebody like you, Sam? You get all sorts of praise and I just...I don’t get it.”
She shrugs her shoulders again.
TALLYN: “Personally, you don’t even seem to have what it takes to be a main eventer anymore. You’re too happy, too nice and being nice gets you fucking nowhere. I’ve tried it and it left a sour taste in my mouth. So I’m done being nice.”
She brushes her hands off as if she was brushing the dust off of them.
TALLYN: “Being nice is for losers and I’m learning quickly that you have to take what you want if you want to get anywhere in this business. And I’m about to take this win from you on Sunday, Sam. I need it more than you because let’s face it, even if you do lose, people will still love you...me? They don’t even know me yet to have much of an opinion on me….”
She smirks a bit.
TALLYN: “But they will come to know me soon and realize that I’m not just going to lay down and take whatever they dish out to me. I’m here to prove myself, whether I believe it or you believe it or not. Whatever happens? Is going to happen and I’m going to make sure that people realize that I’m not going to just be a flash in the skillet. And I’m beginning to believe that I’m going to have to make an example out of you, Sam.”
She looks around her hotel room and then lets out a breath.
TALLYN: “I wish I could say that you’re going to be an easy defeat because you’re not going to be. But it’s going to be fun to prove to everybody that you’re not as good as people like to pretend that you are. Maybe it will be an eye opener for you.”
She pauses before shrugging again.
TALLYN: “Or maybe not. I’m not a mind reader.”
She stands up and leans down to look into the camera.
TALLYN: “I’m done with this. See you on Sunday.”
