Off Camera

("What now?", Shinjiro thinks to himself while sitting alone in the stands of Niles Airforce base. The Honor Wrestling, Zero Hour pay per view had finished well over an hour ago. The fans had left the arena, and so had most of the Honor Wrestling crew. Shinjiro just couldn't leave yet, he was not ready to accept that Honor Wrestling was done.

Shinjiro came back to the ring, and came back to America to prove himself to Honor Wrestling and its fans once again. Shinjiro had come back to right wrongs and avenge losses. Shinjiro had come back to regain the Legacy championship. While many of the goals on his list for his return had many checked off, there were some that still remained unchecked, and now he would never get the chance to mark them off under the Honor Wrestling banner.

Shinjiro looked down at the Honor Wrestling Legacy championship that laid on his lap. Shinjiro hadn't even taken off his gear, he still wore his boots, knee pads, biker tights, and even his wrist tape remained. Shinjiro had taken time to put on a t-shirt, and looked down at it, a Golden Dragon t-shirt from his first run in Honor Wrestling, that showed him wearing the Legacy championship.

Shinjiro sighed heavily, the joy of regaining the Legacy championship and doing so in dominant fashion was snuffed out by the sadness of Honor Wrestling closing. Shinjiro was not out celebrating like the other winners from Zero Hour were, instead he sits watching the ring crew tearing down the Honor Wrestling ring for the last time.

Over the past year and a half Shinjiro had lost so much, and seen some much death. First his childhood sweet heart Hiroko, taken by a drunk driver in a car accident. His hero, his father, Hahn Yamamoto, taken by a heart attack in the middle of a wrestling match. And now he watches Honor Wrestling die, taken by capitalism.

The last of the Honor Wrestling banners is taken down, the apron is removed from the ring, and the guard rails are hauled onto a trailer. Shinjiro looks down at the Legacy championship in his lap once more and when he does so notices his wrist tape on his left hand. Written in black Sharpe on the purple tape is "4 Hahn".

Shinjiro begins to think about what his father had taught him growing up. His father had always told him when a door closes, look for a window to open. Shinjiro first came to Honor Wrestling to spread his name, his families name, and to prove that he is the best wrestler in the world. Along the way he had fallen in love with Honor Wrestling and wanted to not only build his name, but the name of Honor Wrestling. Shinjiro felt he had done that. At one-point Shinjiro Yamamoto was the biggest name in Honor Wrestling, and since his return was quickly headed to being the biggest name in the company again.

Shinjiro realized the opportunity that was in front of him, the opportunity to grow his legacy. Sin City Wrestling was a bigger company, it would give him more exposure and even tougher competition. Shinjiro's original mission was to prove he was the best wrestler in the world, and it was time to get back to that mission. It was time to prove once again that "The Golden Dragon" Shinjiro Yamamoto was the best wrestler in the world, and Sin City Wrestling was just the place to do that.

Shinjiro stood up, and tossed the Legacy Championship over his shoulder as he moved to the isle. Shinjiro stood on the steps and looked over the ring as the crew continued to dismantle it.)

Shinjiro: Rest easy Honor Wrestling, your name will live on through my legacy.

(Shinjiro begins walking down the aisle steps as the scene fades out.)

Off Camera Flashback

(9/8/13, the date of Shinjiro's first match in the states. Shinjiro had been excited to come to America, but not that he was about to step out in front of the live crowd, and the cameras, he found that his excitement had been replaced by nervousness. Shinjiro had stretched and warmed up, but couldn't stop moving. He bounced back and forth in anticipation for his match. Shinjiro looked over at his father, who had been wrestling longer than Shinjiro had been alive.

Hahn had stretched and warmed up a bit, but now leaned against a wall and sipped some black coffee. Shinjiro was stunned at how nonchalant his father looked as he had watched his father battle with great intensity numerous times and knew that his father hadn't been in the states in over fifteen years.

Shinjiro stops bouncing long enough to address the elder dragon.)

Shinjiro: Father, are you not nervous?

(Hahn doesn't even look up as he takes another sip of his coffee and replies, "no".)

Shinjiro: Are you at lease excited?

(Hahn chuckles as he sits his coffee down. Hahn looks up at his son and gives a big smile as he pulls his body off the wall.)

Hahn: Son, of course I am excited. I'm excited to be teaming with you for the first time. I'm excited for you to show the world your skills. I'm excited that we are here together.

(Shinjiro looks a bit puzzled)

Shinjiro: I'm just so... I don't know, I feel like it is my first match again.

(Hahn grins and shakes his head. He steps forward and places a reassuring hand on his sons shoulder.)

Hahn: Son, you have absolutely nothing to be worried about. You have had over a five hundred matches in front of crowds, you have spent countless hours honing your craft, you have spent your entire life in this sport. You were born for this. You are the best wrestler I have ever seen in my life, this sport just comes natural to you. So, remember that and go out there and show the world what Japan already knows, and that is that you, "The Golden Dragon" Shinjiro Yamamoto are the best wrestler in the world.

(Hahn removes his hand from his sons shoulder and turns around to retrieve his coffee. Shinjiro looks at his dad with so much honor, respect, and love.)

Shinjiro: Thank you Father, I just hope I can live up to the name you have already made for our family here in America.

(Hahn turns around slowly and looks at his son with a smile.)

Hahn: The reputation of a thousand years may be determined by the conduct of one hour. So, you will just how to show them that the reputation is true.

(Shinjiro smiles at Hahn, and Hahn takes a drink of his coffee as the scene fades out.)

On Camera

(Shinjiro stands at an overlook, resting after taking a day long fifteen-mile hike through both of the rim trails. Shinjiro leans against the wooden rail and takes in the beautiful scenery of the southern part of the canyon. Shinjiro wears a light yellow and black Columbia jacket, which is unzipped showing his sweat drenched t-shirt.

Shinjiro stands up straight and takes a deep breath, inhaling the fresh high desert air. Shinjiro turns from the view and looks at the camera. Shinjiro leans up against the rail and crosses his arms as he begins to speak.)

Shinjiro: This Sunday, October twenty-eight I make my Sin City Wrestling debut. The decision to come to Sin City wrestling is not one I came to lightly. When Honor Wrestling closed, I questioned what I would do and where I would go. I could have returned to Japan, I could have gone to the World Wrestling Organization where I have held championships with my Father in the past, but to be honest without my father by my side I couldn't step into a WWO ring due to all the memories it held of him.

Other companies in America wanted me to join their ranks, but none of them felt like the right fit. Sin City Wrestling is where I was meant to come. The best of the best from Honor Wrestling have come here, and with the talent influx Sin City Wrestling is poised to become the biggest and best wrestling promotion in not only America, but in the entire world. That is why I chose to come here.

I am going to do for SCW what I did for Honor Wrestling my first time there, and that is help to build the name and grow the brand. I helped put Honor Wrestling on the map, and while SCW is already on the map it is not yet the best. Through hard work, determination, blood, sweat, and tears I, along with the other great competitors here will make everyone realize that Sin City Wrestling is the best wrestling company on earth. While doing that I will work like never before to make myself the crown jewel of SCW and show everyone that not only is SCW the best company in the world, but that I am the best wrestler in the world as well.

(Shinjiro turns around and looks back over the massive canyon. The camera moves around to show a profile view of Shinjiro's face.)

Shinjiro: I come into SCW and immediately will be tested... and that is exactly how I like it. A triple threat match for my Legacy championship, the deck is stacked against me when it comes to keeping the Legacy championship. Rory Rockefeller and Caleb Storm, two men I know little about and two men I have never stepped into the ring with.

The only thing I know about Caleb Storm is that he was once defeated by Space Lord and he is a metal head. Now, losing to Space Lord is nothing to hang your head over, the man is a freak of nature with great physical power, but he is a bit out there. But, if you are not able to defeat Space Lord then what makes you think you can defeat me? The answer is that you cannot defeat me Caleb. You may be a fan of metal, but after Sunday night you will be singing the blues.

Apparently, you have held gold here in Sin City Wrestling, very good. Beating you Caleb will send a clear sign to everyone in SCW, both in the office and in the locker room that The Golden Dragon is the real deal. Of course, you are a few people removed from the Roulette championship you once held, but your ability to gain that championship shows that you are a great competitor, or at least once were a great competitor.

I can't claim to know how good you are, or how prestigious your SCW career has been. Honestly, I never paid attention to you in Honor either as I had my sights set on a goal. I hope you have been on a hot streak. I hope your career has been prestigious here, and I hope that you truly bring the absolute best you have into our match on Sunday. Because, when I beat you clean, in the middle of the ring it will show everyone just who Shinjiro Yamamoto is.

(Shinjiro turns around to look into the camera and while doing do shoves his hands into his pockets of his jacket. His face looks a bit curious, but then the curiosity turns to a bit of frustration.)

Shinjiro: Rory Rockefeller, I don't even know why you are in this match. What have you done to deserve a chance at the Legacy championship? I know even less about you then I do about Caleb, so maybe you were once a great competitor, or maybe someone really is trying to stack the deck against me. Maybe that, or maybe they just want to truly test me.

Test me all you want, put anyone in front of me. It doesn't matter if I think they are worthy of a title match or not. Honestly, I don't care who you put in front of me or how many people you put in the match. I am the best in the world, and I can overcome any odds that are stacked up against me, just like I can defeat anyone that is put up against me.

Sin City Wrestling apparently doesn't know about me being the first winner of the Warriors Brawl, they don't know about all the odds I have overcome, they don't know about the greatness I have had in the ring, they don't know about the Golden Dragon, they do not know who the best wrestler in the world is.

(Shinjiro removes his hands from the pockets of his jacket. His hands clinch tight in fists, and his eyes come alive with the deep fire that has become his trademark.)

Shinjiro: Sin City Wrestling doesn't know about "The Golden Dragon" Shinjiro Yamamoto, but they are about to find out. You only get one chance to make a first impression, and I plan on making a huge impression. Not only will I make an impression, but I will be making an impact. Caleb Storms and Rory Rockefeller will be made examples of. It is nothing personal, but you are the two who have been selected for this monuments’ occasion.

I must be victorious, I must do more than win, I must dominate. To simply come in and get a quick pin fall victory would not be the right first impression. To make the true impression that should be made by the Golden Dragon, to make an impact like only a Yamamoto can make... I must send you both to your flaming deaths. And that is exactly what I am going to do. I am going to take both of you, turn you upside down, and drop you on your skulls.

What I do at Climax Control will echo throughout Sin City Wrestling. It will ring loud and clear in everyone’s ears. It will pierce their brain and leave them with one clear and concise message. That message is that Shinjiro Yamamoto is the best in the world and he is in SCW to dominate. Anyone who doesn't like this message, and anyone who wants to try and stop me can let it be known and I will gladly send them to a flaming death.

(Shinjiro turns and walks out of the frame and the camera focuses on the view of the Grand Canyon before fading out.)
