Caleb’s time in the Gold Rush Tournament was cut short by Senor Vinnie who was now facing Ty West in the finals of the tournament but that didn’t mean that Caleb’s championship aspirations were over, not by a long shot as it was announced that, following Jessie’s successful defense of the Legacy Championship against Ella Singleton. The men’s Legacy Championship was to be defended the following week at SCW’s annual Halloween Show.
And wouldn’t you know it, Caleb was one of two challengers, his opponents? The debuting Legacy Champion Shinjiro Yamamoto who dethroned Equinox at Zero Hour II and follow debutant Rory Rockefella, Caleb wanted to bounce back from the mixed results that he had been having in recent weeks but neither of his debuting opponents were going to make things easy for him, can he win the match and the title?
Outside Caleb’s hotel room, Phoenix, Arizona

That’s officially the last time I’m flying from Maine to Arizona.
In case you’re wondering, yeah, I was surprised that Ben invited me to his Halloween party last night but I was more surprised when he invited Jessie Salco after everything she said about him earlier this year, either way it was a good break from it all but now that we’re back in Arizona it’s back to business as usual because not only do I have to lay out the welcome matt for two debuting Honor Wrestling alumni but it’s a Legacy Championship Match pitting me against the champion Shinjiro Yamamoto and Rory Rockefella.
Damn you jet lag!
We wanted to be back in Phoenix for the promo, so we left the party early to catch the an overnight flight home, only downside is that its left me jet lagged as all hell and I feel like I could sleep for a hundred years.
And I could make a jab at another SCW wrestler’s promo style but that would be too easy.
“I told you we should’ve done the promo whilst we were in Maine.” Katie commented as I wearily got out of the car, I would be a lot more tired by now, but I slept through most of the car journey whilst letting Katie take the wheel. “But no, you had to catch an overnight flight.”
“How was I supposed to know that I’d get this jet lagged?” I asked with an annoyed look on my face and Katie rolled her eyes. “Besides I can catch up on my sleep in the hotel room.” I added as I sat on the bonnet of the rent-a-car.
“That’s all well and good but I don’t think they want to film you sleeping for the first part of the promo.” Katie pointed out as she motioned towards the SCW camera crew and I nodded quickly realizing that she had a point. “And it wouldn’t be a good showing for either Shinjiro or Rory either.”
“Yeah I know, I will get the promo done before breakfast.” I assured her, and Katie nodded in understanding. “At least I had fun going as Michael Myers.”
“I’m surprised you didn’t go as Freddie Krueger, you’ve always preferred the Nightmare on Elm Street films to the original Halloween films.” Katie responded, and I shrugged my shoulders in response.
“Wasn’t about to compete with Jake’s legendary “Dready Krueger” costume.” I pointed out and Katie went to respond but couldn’t find the words.
“Yeah, I can’t argue with that.” Katie admitted, and I grinned knowing that I had won the war. “I’m still surprised Ben invited Jessie after the controversy surrounding her earlier this year.”
“I’m more surprised that she accepted the invitation.” I responded with a shrug and Katie nodded in agreement. “You want to go get us checked in? I’ve got a promo to do?”
“Sure.” Katie nodded in response before she entered the hotel and I got ready to do my promo.
“After I lost in the second round of the Gold Rush Tournament I thought I had lost my championship opportunities for the cycle, maybe even the year, cut to later in the night and Brooke announced that I would be challenging Shinjiro Yamamoto and Rory Rockefella in a Triple Threat Match for the Honor Wrestling Legacy Championship and I was like “Christmas came early!”, that said allow me to be the first to officially welcome Shinjiro and Rory to SCW and be the first to defeat them!”
First up is the champ.
“Shinjiro, we never faced in Honor Wrestling but I saw your work at Zero Hour II and I was impressed, that said I find myself to be your first challenger alongside Rory and after the mixed results I’ve had in the ring as of late, I need this win, not only to win the Legacy Championship but to head into High Stakes with at least some momentum going so yeah, don’t get attached to that title!”
Next up is Rory.
“As for Rory he may be in the same vote as me as far as being the challenger in this title match but that’s about it! I do remember teaming up with you but I’m so tired that I can’t remember but here’s something for you to remember Rory, I will be walking out the Honor Wrestling Legacy Champion!”
And with that I decided to wrap this up.
“Short one I know but I’m going this whilst jet lagged, that said no amount of jet lag will stop me from winning the match and the title and whilst Shinjiro and Rory will give it everything they’ve got to make sure that doesn’t happen it’ll all be for naught as pretty soon they’ll feel a storm brewing and they had better brace themselves or be blown away by “The Metal Storm” Caleb Storms, welcome to SCW!”
I went into the hotel as the scene fades.
