Title: "Not what I expected……...”
Post by: Caleb Storms on June 15, 2018, 10:06:47 PM
Caleb was unsuccessful in his quest to retain the Roulette Championship in his first defense as Jon Dough would end up winning back the title in the Triple Threat Match that also included “Pretty” Ty West, as a follow up to this at the following Climax Control from Disneyworld Caleb made his intention to cash in the rematch clause at the earliest opportunity known in an interview as he wondered around the park.

This week all three men that competed in the Triple Threat Match at Into the Void were in action, Ty was taking on the winner of the Blast from the Past Tournament Fenris and Jon Dough was taking on Kris Ryans in a non-title match in the main event, so where did that leave Caleb? He was taking on Joshua Acquin in the match immediately following Ty’s match and if Caleb wanted to prove that he was worthy of a title, this was the perfect opportunity, Joshua was another face from the Six Man Ladder Match that started this whole mess, but he had been preoccupied with his Hellraisers tag team with Jessie Salco, can Caleb win?

Because why the fuck not?

When SCW announced that they were doing a Theme Park Tour following Into the Void VII two weeks ago I was ecstatic! Growing up my parents didn’t have enough money to take me to theme parks like this so as soon as they announced the tour me and Katie made a pact to go on all the famous rides at each park in the lead-up to the week’s Climax Control and last week at Disneyworld we capped off the week with Space Mountain, this week? We’re capping it off with Batman: The Ride.

Sure, Katie had to spend at least twenty minutes talking me out of doing my Christian Bale as Batman voice as we neared the park but that’s neither here nor there!

Off course, the rides aren’t the only thing on my mind this week as I’m set to take on Joshua Acquin in singles action, anyone who’s been following SCW since the reboot knows that Josh has been in the middle of the shitstorm surrounding Jessie Salco being one of the very few people to take her side in the whole debacle but I do have my own, admittedly limited history with Acquin, namely that he was one of five men I faced in the Six Man Ladder Match to determine the new SCW Roulette Champion.

And we all know how that ended.

As I said on Climax Control, I have a rematch clause and I’m not afraid to use it! Jon Dough keeps saying that he’s going to give the shot to Ben Jordan but no, it’s in my contract, I get first shot, not Ben and trust me, if they did decide to book a Ben vs. Kris title match for next week’s Main Event I will find a way to screw it up for Ben, why? It’s simple, my rematch clause specifically states that it’s a rematch against the guy who beat me for the title.

If Ben wins the title, then my rematch clause is null, and void and Jon will get to invoke his instead, and now you know why I have a vested interest in keeping the title in Jon’s possession!

“How long until the line shrinks?” Katie asked breaking my train of thought in the process and I looked up realizing that the line hadn’t moved much since the SCW cameracrew caught up with us. “I feel like we’ve been standing here forever!”

“Well it is the summer holidays and most parents are out with their kids today.” I said as glanced towards some excited kids leaving with their parents and yes, I did learn my lesson from the whole “lets wear a Cannibal Corpse t-shirt at Disneyland, what can go wrong” incident from last week, in fact it was made even worse by my decision to wear the Tomb of the Mutilated shirt, still surprised that I didn’t get kicked out of the park! “Don’t worry babe, we should be on that ride in no time at all.”

“Yeah, I know, but we both know that waiting in line for the ride is the worse part.” Katie responded with a grin before the line finally moved as the next lot of passengers were let on, it was still a while before we would get a chance to ride the rollercoaster but at least it was looking least likely that we would still be hear twelve hours from now. “Are you worried about Josh?” Katie whispered to me knowing that I had made a point of trying to avoid autograph seekers this week.

“Not really, sure my month hasn’t gotten off to the best of starts thanks to back to back losses in the Triple Threat Match at Into the Void VII and Alex Jones the following week at Showdown but with my second win over Kai Katona on Wednesday I shouldn’t have anything to worry about.” I responded with a grin before we watched the ride do its rollercoaster things. “If anything, Josh should be worried about me and not the other way around.”

“Well, that and never being asked to do another impersonation for as long as he lives.” Katie responded with a giggle and I couldn’t help but nod in agreement as flashbacks to his horrid impersonation of Ben Jordan at last week’s Climax Control came back to me, the segment was only a few days old but I was basically treating it like a Vietnam Flashback, anyway it wasn’t long before we were moving again as the last lot of patrons were let off the ride, still the ride was in sight and I got an idea.

“Hey Katie, how about you save my spot in the ride whilst I go do my promo?” I offered, and Katie turned to me. “We’re going to be a while anyway so what better time to do it? Besides, you can text me when it looks like it’s our turn to go on!”

“Sounds like a plan, just don’t go too far because I don’t want to do on without you.” Katie responded, and I nodded in agreement before walking over to a nearby bench that was still within walking distance to the que, with that in mind I got started on my promo.

“When I saw the card for this week’s Climax Control from right here in Six Flags over Georgia, one thing was running through my mind, “Not what I expected……….”, what do I mean by that? Well following my segment at Disneyworld last week, I figured that I’d be challenging Jon Dough in this week’s Main Event, instead Jon isn’t even defending the title as he’s taking on Kris Ryans and I’m facing another man from the Six Man Ladder Match, Joshua Acquin!”

Not that I’m going to let this distract me.

“The more antics Jessie gets up to, the more I wonder why Josh puts up with her, just look at how she interfered in last week’s match between Amy and Courtney getting a Minnie Mouse worker fired in the process! That said Josh, I don’t care what the bosses think, frankly I don’t think anyone should care what they think as long as they have Mikah in their ears but that’s just me, your one of the best talents on the roster but you don’t get the recognition you deserve!”

Where have I heard that before?

“I swear if I didn’t know that Jessie was happily married I’d say that she was screwing Josh, anyway Josh regardless of what your reasons are the way I see it there’s only one way this match can end and that’s with me walking out the victor! I already have momentum on my side thanks to my win over Kai Katona earlier this week on Showdown and where does that leave you? Not in a very good place, I can tell you that much because Josh’s bad luck I about to get worse!”

It’s that simple.

“Josh, I’m sure you and Jessie will make great tag team champions once the bosses get their heads out of their asses and lift the title shot ban but I don’t see that happening any time soon, maybe it’s because I’m not a fortune teller or anything like that but I did get this message from a fortune cookie whilst I was in Des Moines for Showdown earlier this week, ass kickings will come to those who align themselves with a frustrated woman!”

Yeah, I made that up, anyway I decided to wrap things up as I had just gotten the text from Katie.

“Josh, I don’t know what your relationship with Jessie behind the scenes but what I do know us that if you continue to lose, Jessie’s going to throw you to the wolves and this Sunday that streak will continue but in the meantime,  you had better brace yourself because there’s a storm coming, otherwise you’ll be blown away by the “Metal Storm” Caleb Storms!”

I rejoined Katie in the que as the scene fades.
