Title: “Don’t drag me into this!”

 What started out as yet another week in SCW turned into a week that would bring some shocking news to the men and women of the SCW Roster: 2017 was going to be the last year that SCW would be open with the fed’s final show/supercard, Full Circle, taking place in 2018 and since the last Supercard a feud had been brewing between Caleb Storms and Samuel McPherson that would be resolved at Full Circle, in the meantime however the two men had other problems both involving the Roulette Title, Samuel was one of several men challenging for the men’s Roulette Title in the main event but where did that leave Caleb?

He was teaming with the Bombshell Roulette Champion Cadence Carter in a Mixed Tag Team Match that pitted the young team against Sam Marlowe and Anthrax, Caleb and Cadence didn’t have a lot in common, but the two youngsters would have to find some common ground if they hoped to win this match which would most likely be the only time Caleb would get this close to a title in SCW unless Samuel won the Main Event but can he and Cadence win?

Local barber’s shop, Reno, Nevada

Yeah, a metalhead is visiting a barber shop of his own free will, I have already seen the flying pigs outside.

But no, it’s not to get my haircut, the day that I let a pair of scissors get anywhere near my hair is also the day that I start listening to pop music! Look, you’ve probably heard that SCW is closing its doors in January and that I’ve already signed a contract with Honor Wrestling much like Jessie Salco did with Pride Pro Wrestling earlier in the week, but I realized that maybe J2H had a point, I really don’t look like I’m 21, so I’ve decided that it was high time for a makeover.

And that’s why I’m here, I’m having my beard shaved off! Only reason why I’m not doing it myself is because I never really bothered with shaving before and Katie figured that it would just be easier for me to get a professional to do it and figure out how to do it myself once the beard grows back in a couple of months, by which point SCW will be dead, and speaking of SCW.

This week I find myself thrown into a Mixed Tag Team Match that, sadly, will likely be the closest thing I’ll ever get to owning a title in this company, why? Because I’m teaming up with the current Bombshell Roulette Champion Cadence Carter to take on the former Bombshell Roulette Champion Sam Marlowe and Anthrax.

The psychotic clown, not the band, or that poisonous stuff.

“Just a few minutes Caleb and we’ll be done.” The barber said as he continued to save my beard whilst Katie watched on, I could tell that she wasn’t really paying any attention, why? Because I saw her put her IPhone headphones in almost immediately after we entered the barber shop but to be fair the barber shop was playing Christmas music, also the barber happens to be an SCW fan hence why he knows my name. “You’ve seriously never shaved?”

“If I did shave regularly I wouldn’t be here.” I responded with a frown on my face as he continued to shave away my beard. “So, I take it you heard that SCW’s closing in January?”

“Yeah and it sucks, I’ve been to every SCW show in Reno since they started running shows here and now that SCW’s closing I’m not sure what to do.” The barber responded with a sad sigh as he continued to shave my beard. “I know that another promotion has moved into the area, Honor Wrestling?”

“Yeah, that’s part of the reason why I signed up with them.” I responded with a nod before noticing that he was almost done. “I only just moved up from New York in October, I’m not willing to move again so soon and besides, me and Katie like it in Las Vegas.”

“What about Reno?” The barber asked, and I shrugged my shoulders in response.

“Between the Down Under Tour and the recent tours of Arizona and California I haven’t had a chance to check out the other cities in Nevada.” I responded just as the barber finished and I looked at myself in the mirror to get a better look. “It’s going to feel weird without the beard, but I’ll get used to it.”

“You think you’ll feel weird?” Katie asked as she walked up behind me with a grin on her face. “I’ve never known you without the beard! I’ve been telling all my Facebook friends that my boyfriend doesn’t have a chin, just more facial hair for fuck’s sake.”

“Anyone who actually believes that needs a crash course in biology.” I responded with a deadpan expression on my face before rubbing my freshly shaven chin. “Now I just need to get rid of these wrinkles and no one can claim that I don’t look 21!”

“Luckily there’s some creams for that.” Katie responded before going over to the counter to pay since getting the beard shaved was her idea, as was getting a professional to do it for me. “Anyway, you want to head outside and do your promo for the Mixed Tag? I’ll meet you outside.” Katie added as I grabbed my jacket and I nodded in response before heading outside to do my promo.

“This week started like any other week, I was in my hotel room in Reno Nevada planning on how I will get my revenge on Samuel McPherson this week on Climax Control when I got the news, not only would Episode 200 of Climax Control be the last one of the year but the last Climax Control episode full stop with the first Supercard of 2018, Full Circle, also being the last show that SCW will produce before closing it’s doors, obviously this is bad news because even though I’ve signed my contract with Honor Wrestling a couple of days ago I’m still thankful to SCW for the opportunities I’ve had since signing, like competing alongside the Bombshell Roulette Champion against the former Bombshell Roulette Champion and her stalker in a Mixed Tag Team Match in this week’s Climax Control!”

Business as usual in other words.

“Just so we’re clear, I have nothing against Cadence or Sam, I loved the two matches they’ve had together! But I also have absolutely nothing in common with Cadence but I’m sure that we can find some common ground in this match because we may be the odd couple tag team in this mixed tag, even odder than our opponents if you ask me, doesn’t mean that we can’t find success as a Tag Team and when we win this match you’ll have another win over Sam Marlowe!”

And now onto Anthrax.

“I don’t know who I’d rather face, my favorite band from the Big 4 of Thrash Metal Anthrax or the Psychotic Clown Anthrax! I mean yeah, Anthrax the band has the numbers game on us but none of them are wrestlers and most of them are pushing fifty, but they’d still be easier to deal with than a Pennywise wannabe! Anthrax, the clown, not the band, everyone I know seems to fear clowns, not me! Far from it! I’ve always found Clown Makeup to silly to take seriously and after I beat you this Sunday no one will take you seriously!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“I didn’t want to be dragged into this mess, but I lost my opportunity to book a Climax Control a few weeks ago and so here I am, competing in a Mixed Tag Match against a Pennywise Wannabe and the woman he’s stalking and the woman who beat the Pennywise Wannabe’s object of affection for the title at the last Supercard! If this is the closest I’m going to get to holding a title in SCW due it’s closure in January, then I’ll gladly take it and as for you Anthrax, you had better brace yourself because a metal storm is brewing, and his name is the “Metal Storm” Caleb Storms!”

Katie walked out of the barber’s shop and we entered the car as the scene fades.
