Book 1: Life
Chapter 13: 13 hours
~Part 1: Lucia~
Lucy heard thunder rumble in her ears as lightning lit up a hallway. She was alone and no one was in the place with her. Or at least she believed so. Lucy knew this place all too well though, it was where Lucia resides. Lucia was Lucy’s dark side, where if she lost control Lucia would take control. It was something Lucy always feared. It did happen once but long ago to the point that Lucy didn’t remember much of it.
Lucy found herself walking towards the seal door that Lucia was in. She heard Lucia scream madly as Lucia pounded at the door. Lucy feeling no emotion only looked at it. She wasn’t going to open the door though, only God knows what Lucia would do.
“Let me out damn you”! Lucia roared.
“No”. Lucy replied.
“Why”!? Lucia continued to yell.
“Because I said so”. Lucy told her.
Lucia again screamed but this time Lucy blinked. Lucy had noticed that Lucia was more violent than normal. Lucy had a cold chill run down her spine from this.
“Lucia…”Lucy started to say.
“I know why you’re like this Lucy”. Lucia said to her.
Lucy felt her heart drop at that moment. Lucia had known something and hasn’t told her. Lucy wanted to run away but she felt that she needed to know as well. Lucy step forward toward the door and looked at it like she could see Lucia.
“Why is that”? Lucy asked her.
“Dear old Alexander is near. You see Lucy he’s able to control anyone who has black blood in them just like Anisim. I mean he has a corruption demon in him. You’re a hybrid of green and black, you crave blood when he’s around because you need to feed your darkness. You see the more blood you drink, the more your darkness and vampirism becomes stronger…but if you don’t feed at least four times a year you’ll go insane. Either way I’ll be let out soon Lucy, I will take over this body and I will destroy anyone who stands in my way…or maybe I’ll go play with him. I dunno honestly, I mean either way blood is going to be spilled and you can’t do anything about it”! Lucia explained.
Lucy felt like she was going to have a panic attack. Her heart started to race as her stomach dropped. Lucy’s body shook with both anger and fear. Just hearing anything about Anisim would cause her to either get angry or to be scared.
“You are not taking over! You’re sealed away so no one dies! When the vampire bit me you were created and I thank God you were sealed. If you even think you’re coming out you got another thing coming”! Lucy threatened.
Lucia laughed causing Lucy to be confused.
“You think you are going to be able to stop me? I’m going to let you know something Lucy and heed this. Alexander is coming for Rachel, Raphael and Rhoda. He needs them because if he takes blood from each well… You four represent an element of the four basics even if your blood doesn’t match up with it. Rhoda is fire, Nikola is water, Sarah is air and Raphael’s Earth. Now pop quiz Luce, what do you have when you have four elements”? Lucia added.
“A spell casting circle, Spirit would go in the center”. Lucy replied.
“And what can you do in a casting circle”? Lucia asked.
Lucy at first didn’t say anything. The most logical answer would be a spell of some kind but Lucy had a dark thought. Lucy’s eyes went wide in shock as realized the answer.
“A summoning spell”. Lucy said nearly losing her breath.
“There you go”. Lucia replied.
Lucy started to walk away from the door backwards. Lucy wanted to scream and cry out in fear.
“Who’s spirit”? Lucy asked.
No answer.
“Who is spirit”?! Lucy screamed this time.
“Rachel”. Lucia replied after a few minutes.
Lucy felt to her knees and screamed out loud. Tears started to run down her face. Lucy again screamed out in terror, she couldn’t move though. Her body wouldn’t allow it knowing that she was trapped in her mind. Lucy tried to block out the silence or maybe it was Lucia laughing from her ears. God it was so painful, her body went numb as her blood turned cold. Lucy couldn’t summon Earth, it wasn’t possible here but she could summon darkness, which alone could help Lucia escape.
“Claude”. Lucy sobbed.
Suddenly the world went black and Lucy’s eyes flew open.
Lucy screams filled the room where her and Claude were sleeping. Lucy was covered in sweat and she felt sick to her stomach. She jumped to her feet and ran out of the room as fast as she could. Lucy slid into one of the bathrooms and started heaving up the blood she had from earlier. But Claude woke up a few seconds after that. He had seen everything she had and felt it too. Claude rose from the bed and walked to where Lucy was at. He opened the door and saw her leaned over the bowl like she had too much vodka for her own good. Claude walked over to her and in one hand took her hair and with the other rubbed her back. Weakly Lucy looked over her shoulder and tried to smile.
“T´fu â čuvstvuûsebâpodobnoder´mu (Ugh I feel like shit)”. Lucy said in Russian.
“I know you do hon…I know you do”. Claude replied.
Lucy turned and continued to…well you know.
“Ty v porâdkeClaude (You okay Claude?)”? Lucy asked.
“I’m fine Lucy…why do you ask”? Claude replied.
Lucy got up and Claude let go of her hair. Lucy flushed the toilet, went to the sink and brushed her teeth. After that she washed her hands and dried them. Both Lucy and Claude exited the room and went back to the room they were in. Claude got onto the bed first, Lucy followed and Claude took her into his arms. Lucy after a few minutes started to sob.
“Lucy”? Claude asked.
Lucy turned to face him, her eyes filled with tears. Lucy buried her head into Claude’s chest. Claude was taken off guard by this. Claude smiles sympathetically at her and rubbed her back slowly.
“Shh it’s okay babe, it’ll be okay”. He said soothingly.
“No it’s not! Claude what you saw was all real! What if Lucia is right? What if my Father is coming”? Lucy nearly screamed, but it would be muffled.
Uri: You two okay?
Uri slowly opened to the door and looked inside.
Lucy: No…
~Part 2: OH fun...~
If you were to ask Lucy Seraphina what the worst thing about the Assassin job was; she’d answer it was training the rookies. It wasn’t the fact she could get killed at any second, it wasn’t the fact that the smell of blood could make her go frenzy; it was the damn rookies.
Lucy hated having to train them for three reasons:
1-They always act that they were masters at the craft.
Lucy nine times out of ten had to send at least a half of them to the hospital. To say the least Michael wasn’t thrilled about it. Both him and his sister dreaded the warm weather because that’s when the rookies would start their training. Spring time was the recruitment and Lucy knew that someone would be the smart ass.
2- Lucy would usually have to train them alone.
It always seemed that Maxim and Aliceandrea had something to do or some excuse. In secret they didn’t want to deal with the rookies just like Lucy. So the number two and number three of the Assassination squad had left the number one do this alone. Lucy though would get her revenge later on.
And finally…
3- Someone will most likely die.
Lucy was someone who cares. She hated to see these young kids get killed every training season. But such is life and Lucy felt herself having to become stone cold. She knew that thought love would keep these rookies alive and, Lucy had just pulled up to the training area. Her green and black Harley Davidson shined from the sun. Lucy looked over and saw five girls and five boys standing there waiting for her. Lucy cut the engine off and jumped of the bike.
Lucy: “Well, well, well! Look at all the Novices. You lot have three minutes after I finish this if you want to leave, alive and well…or you could die with honor. Pick one and pick fast, the life of an assassin is a fast and dangerous one.”
None of them moved and Lucy had kept the time in her mind.
Lucy: “As I thought. Now if any of you want to act that you’re above rank think again. Many of you die because of it. Many of you die because of your stupor. Some of you get hurt from the unknown. But many of you will live if you listen to me. My name is Lucy Seraphina, leader of the Assassination Squad and number one rank on the list. If you truly value your fellow magi-blood, your fellow Assassin and your life…pay attention. You all seem to be the smart type. None of you even flinched when I spoke. It’s different from that last batch.”
Lucy started to pace in a line, watching them.
Lucy: “You know what you all can do? Sprint and hide. If I find you, you failed your first assignment…now go.”
The novices sprint off leaving Lucy alone.
Uri: Need some help?
Lucy turned and smiled at her older sister.
Uri: I take that as a yes. Seriously where is everyone?
Lucy: They ditched me to piss me off as always. So it’s just me…why are you here?
Uri: Our match.
Lucy: Right…
The two start to walk off.
Uri: Jessie has grown up.
Lucy: Yeah she has. I’m proud her, I mean she’s doing it in her own way.
Uri: I can’t wait to face her. Also I know you’re happy to face Amy again.
Lucy: I am. I want them both to be the best they can.
Uri: But we need to win this.
Lucy nodded and threw a ninja knife. A body falls out of the tree in shock.
~Part 3: Game time.~
Uri: What a week it's been, huh? It's been a good one and I'm more pumped up and ready to go than ever before. I've enjoyed facing you in the past and something tells me that I might enjoy this one even more... somehow. And why? Because I finally have something to fight for. Usually, it's just to get through the match and rack up another victory. Of course, that is true of this match again as well but in addition of that, I’m getting a fight.
Lucy: I'm not gonna lie, I am still feeling good about this week. Even as the time ticks by and the more I think about it, the easier I think this is going to be. Okay, that sounded way too arrogant and anybody who knows me, knows that is not my style but it's true. This is a match that I'm going to be able to get through, whether a certain person wants to believe that or not...
Uri: I mean no disrespect to Amy and Jessie, of course I don't. Regardless of all the words that have been exchanged between us, I do respect the them. I know this is a fresh challenge for us and I appreciate that. It's certainly one that I'm going to enjoy. If anything, I'm thankful for that. I know I've said some things this week already that have probably been perceived as harsh but these two aren’t the kind of people to get offended. I doubt they’ll care about anything I have to say. That's fine, though because my intentions aren't to offend or upset or anything. I'm just here to say what's on our mind.
Lucy: So why exactly am I still feeling good about this? More importantly, can I really get through this? Or am I just fooling myself into believing that this is attainable? Nah, of course I can do this. If I can defeat people like Roxi and Keira, then why not beat you, Punk and Metal connection? You are good. Better than good. Great, in fact.
Uri: It means you two are big deal. It means they're a fighter. It means they’re a legend. I understand your legacy nor will I ever deny it but I'm working on my legacy right now and can you imagine how much of a huge boost a pinfall victory over P&M would be for that legacy of ours? That's not all I'm thinking about, of course but it's something that I'm excited to have on the horizon for me. Any opportunity is something I appreciate so I will take it and run with it.
Lucy: I don't shy away from challenges. Is that something you knew about me or even assumed about me? It should have been because that's something that actually is true. I don't want to just be judged for what you see on the surface. I'm better than that and I'm more complex than that so now is the time for you to start learning more about us. We’re the Clan. We’re the Bombshell Tag Champions for a reason. We’re the biggest threat to you in this company right now.
Uri: I am ready for action, ladies, and more motivated than ever. I'm a smart man, a strong man, a vicious man, a tenacious man. That's why I've got so far. I know what I'm doing and how to approach matches such as this. I'm hardly just hoping for the best so that's something else you can learn about me.
Lucy: Now would be the time to really start understanding me instead of just saying that you do. Now would be the opportune moment for that and I'd recommend that you start taking me even more seriously than you have been prior to now. I'll issue you with that warning, even if you don't believe you need it. I respect you, two.
Uri: I appreciate your talents. I like to watch you in action because you put on a wrestling clinic when you step into the ring. You're a phenomenal athlete and someone who I can't wait to share the ring with. You're going to tear me apart and I'm okay with it. Because I'm tenacious enough to come back fighting and put a stop to your legacy. Well, at least from it's momentum growing for at least one more week.
Lucy: So let me sum things up for you for the second time this week, ladies. I have been feeling good all week and I hope that's showed. It's not even just because I'm confident that I can get the job done and rack up one of the biggest win of my career but also the fact that I will admit that as a Punk and Metal fan, it's an honor to do this. Whether you two want to take me seriously or not, it's not going to bother me. We’ll still get the job done and prove to you both what I can do and show him precisely who I am...
Uri: Jessie, show us what your training has done. Amy, give it your all. Lucy and I are on the hunt. It’s all business you know that. Good luck ladies and remember to watch the skies.
Lucy: What the skies? I like that!
Fade to black.
