JACK ASHER vs JOSHUA ACQUIN

This was the first meeting between Asher and Acquin, the second SCW and Climax Control match for Asher and his singles debut. He made his SCW, Climax Control, mixed tag team and Blast From the Past debut at CC 232 where he and Char Kwan were eliminated in the first round by Mackenzie Page and Goth when Page pinned Kwan.

Ahead of Sunday, Acquin defeated Jon Dough 2-0 in a Two Out of Three Falls match at CC 232, his second win over Dough in four weeks following Blaze of Glory VII last month on 10 March and his first win to end a career-high 14 straight losses on Climax Control dating back to early June 2018 in a singles pinfall loss to Dimitri on 5 August 2018 at CC 211. Acquin also became just the second man in SCW history after Casey Williams (2016, CC 159 on 11 September) and the sixth wrestler overall after Roxi Johnson (CC 146, 1 May), Williams, Jessie Salco (CC 160, 9 October) and Mercedes Vargas (CC 167, 18 December) (all in 2016) and Amy Santino (2017, CC 173, 26 February) to reach 60 career matches on Climax Control.

Sunday's defeat ended a two-match win streak. "The Sin City Nightmare" falls to 19-66-3 in his 88th career match, including 13-46-2 on Climax Control and 2-6-1 lifetime in the month of April since 2013 having now lost five in a row. He is five matches from tying and six from claiming the record for most career matches in SCW history, held by Despayre with 93 matches since April 2017.

Acquin is in action again next week when he faces Griffin Hawkins at the go-home show Climax Control before London Brawling at Climax Control 235.

SIERRA WILLIAMS vs TRINITY JONES

This was the first meeting between Williams and Jones.

Williams came off her third defense of the World Mixed Tag Team Championship with Lachlan Kane at Blaze of Glory VII last month on 10 March against Pandora Barrett and Travis Levitt. Since winning the titles at High Stakes VIII on 11 November 2018, Team Eggplant has held the titles for what will be 154 days entering Sunday. Individually, Williams is 6-1 following the win, her lone loss coming to Mercedes Vargas who submitted Williams in a triple threat that also included Ella Singleton on 16 December 2018 at CC 224. This was Williams' second-ever singles match and first since CC 226 on 27 January when she handed Evie Jordan her second career singles pinfall loss and ended her second unpinned streak lasting over 700 days. Williams improves to 4-1 on Climax Control. Including her win over Jordan, Williams won tag team matches with Kane over Kain and Vargas to win their in-ring debut against the then-champions on 28 October 2018 at CC 220 in a non-title Trick or Treat Mixed Tag Team match and against Jimmy Andrews and Beverly Milsap, representing Gamers Inc. to retain the World Mixed Tag Titles in their second defense on 17 February at CC 229.

Jones falls to 4-3 in 2019 and 7-13-1 in her SCW career, 7-8-1 on Climax Control and 6-9-1 in singles where she had won four of five overall. Sunday's defeat ended her four-match win streak on Climax Control.

BLAST FROM THE PAST - QUARTER-FINALS: AMY SANTINO and SENOR VINNIE vs JESSIE SALCO and ANDREW GARCIA

This was the first meeting between Vinnie and Garcia while this will be the 13th meeting as opponents between Santino and Salco. With her third win in a row, Santino leads the overall series 7-2-4 (W-L-D). Santino was part of the last four in 2018, her best performance to date. Sunday's win makes her the second female wrestler to make back-to-back trips to the last four since Evie Jordan did that in 2017 and 2018.

Santino unsuccessfully challenged for the Bombshell Roulette Championship against Sam Marlowe last week in a main event Roulette Rules Steel Cage match which she lost by pinfall. Marlowe also won the earlier 2019 meeting at CC 229 in a Roulette Rules Last Bombshell Standing match. It was her 44th career title match overall, passing Salco for second for most career title matches by a female wrestler, trailing only Mercedes Vargas (53). With the loss, Santino fell to 11-32-1 for her fourteenth straight title loss, 4-7 for her fifth straight for the Bombshell Roulette Championship and 4-6 and her fourth straight loss in a singles match. Santino hasn't held the championship in more than two years since she defeated Veronica Taylor at Inception II back in 22 January, ending Taylor's second reign at 49 days.

Santino and Salco last met on 5 August 2018 in a main event ladder match at CC 211 where if Salco won her title ban would be lifted but if Santino won then Salco would be Santino's servant for the rest of 2018. Santino won the match, her second win over Salco in three weeks following a mixed tag team street fight with Wyatt Peterson against Salco and Joshua Acquin at Summer XXXtreme VI on 22 July.

"The Punk Princess" and SCW Hall of Famer improves to 5-6 in the month of April since 2013. She is 52-78-2 in 132 career matches and 37-56-2 in her 95th match on Climax Control. Santino is three wins from becoming the just the third female wrestler after Roxi (2016) and Mercedes Vargas (2018) to reach 40 wins on Climax Control.

Salco falls to 5-6 during this month in her career. She is 38-95-2 in her 135th career match, including 25-69-2 in her 96th match on Climax Control. Santino is 11-10 in mixed tag matches, 6-5 in the Blast From the Past Tournament. Salco is 5-9 in mixed tag team matches, 4-7 in the tournament. She is one loss from being the only female wrestler with 70 losses on Climax Control and five from becoming the first wrestler make or female to reach 100 career losses. With the latter category, no one else has more than 70+ (Santino, 78, Casey Williams, 75; Vargas, 71)

Vinnie hasn't lost in more than three months. The Golden Briefcase winner is 5-0 in 2019 since Inception III back on 13 January and 9-3 in his SCW career having now won six in a row after a three-match slide in defeats at High Stakes VIII, CC 222 and CC 225, his final three matches of 2018. Seven of his nine wins have been on Climax Control, where's he's won four in a row, including CC 227, CC 229 and CC 231.

Santino and Vinnie faces Brittany Williams and Kale Smith in the first match of the BFTP last four next week at Climax Control 235. The other match has Devona and Alex Jones facing Mackenzie Page and Goth.

SELEANA ZDUNICH vs APPLE COREN

This was the fourth meeting between these Bombshells, first in 2019 and a return singles match from CC 210 on 8 July 2018 in Corren's SCW in-ring debut which she won by pinfall. Zdunich avenged her singles defeat with her first win over Coren on Sunday, though still trails the series 2-1-1.

The pair shared the ring during the Bombshell Championship Number One Contender's Ultimate X Over the Pool match at Summer XXXtreme VI, won by Crystal Zdunich, on 22 July 2018 where Seleana Zdunich eliminated Coren from the match while Coren defeated Seleana and Crystal in a tag match with Dani Weston as her partner at CC 220 on 28 October 2018. Weston pinned Zdunich to win for her team.

Ahead of Sunday's match, Zdunich drew with Mercedes Vargas at CC 232 when neither woman could continue. It was Zdunich's first draw in her SCW career. In 25 career matches, she is now 11-12-2 in SCW, including 9-8-1 on Climax Control. The draw with Vargas ended her winning streak at five but Sunday's win over Coren extended her unbeaten streak to seven matches (6-0-1) including a five-match unbeaten streak in singles (4-0-1). Coren suffered a singles loss to Amy Santino at Blaze of Glory VII last month on 10 March.

Prior to this she failed to win the Bombshell Golden Briefcase Ladder match at Inception III on 13 January, was defeated by Mercedes Vargas in singles by pinfall at CC 227 on 3 February and was pinned by Charlotte Elliot in a tag match three weeks later on 24 February at CC 230 as Coren and Amy Santino lost to Elliot and Winter Elemental.

Corren falls to 3-7-1 in her SCW career. Four of her previous five singles matches have happened on Climax Control. She's 2-4-1 on Sunday nights. She hasn't won a match in over four months since a singles pinfall win over then-Honor Legacy Champion Jessie Salco by pinfall on 25 November 2018 at CC 221.

BLAST FROM THE PAST - QUARTER-FINALS: DEVONA and ALEX JONES vs ROXI JOHNSON and CALEB STORMS

This was the first tag team meeting between these teams, the first meeting between Devona and Johnson and the first meeting between Jones and Storms in SCW, though Jones has defeated Storms in both of their meetings in singles in Honor Wrestling, winning by pinfall both times on the 30 May and 12 September 2018 episodes of Wednesday Night Showdown.

Entering CC 234, both teams reached the quarterfinals by defeating the teams of Dani Weston and Stewart Mason (when Johnson pinned Weston) and Daniela V. Rodgers and Teddy Warren (by Jones pinfall on Warren) three weeks ago at CC 231. For Johnson, it was her first match in SCW and on Climax Control in more than two years since the 200th episode of Climax Control on 17 December 2017 where Johnson was part of a eight-woman elimination tag match where her team lost and her first win on Climax Control in more than two years since she and Keira Johnson defeated The Justice League, Zuri Chastain and Belinda Warwick, on 4 September 2016 at CC 158. For Devona, it was her first match in SCW in more than two years since High Stakes VII back in October 2017 and first match on Climax Control since CC 193 on 8 October when she defeated Valora Thomas in defense of the Bombshell Internet Championship in her second defense.

Sunday was Devona's eleventh overall match. The New Orleans native is now 9-1-1 in her SCW career, including 6-0-1on Climax Control, extending her unbeaten streak to seven matches. Johnson falls to 54-37 in SCW in 91 career matches, including 41-25 on Climax Control in her 65th match. Johnson was one of only five in this year's BFTP to have also participated in the first-ever tournament in 2013 alongside Jamie Staggs, Amy Santino, Amanda Cortez and Jessie Salco. Staggs and Cortez were eliminated in the first round and Santino eliminated Salco on Sunday. Sunday was Johnson's 19th mixed tag match in her career where she's 10-9, including 7-6 in the Blast From the Past Tournament. She reached the quarterfinals for the first time since 2016.

Jones improves to 5-1 in SCW, including 4-0 on Climax Control. "The Black Dragon" won his first three matches following his successful SCW, pay-per-view and tag debut with Austin James Mercer against Jimmy Andrews and Jack Stewart of Gamers, Inc at Inception III, a win in his singles debut over Travis Levitt at CC 228 on 10 February and a triple threat win at CC 229 the following week before the streak ended at Blaze of Glory VII last month on 10 March where he was unsuccessful in capturing the World Heavyweight Championship in a fatal four-way which included then-champion Fenris, Jake Raab and Travis Levitt. Fenris pinned Levitt to retain in his ninth defense. Jones still remains unbeaten in singles.

Storms reached the quarterfinals for the second consecutive year. He teamed with Samantha Marlowe to get past Nick Steen and Raynin in last year's tournament before falling to eventual tournament winners Fenris and Courtney Pierce in the quarterfinals when Baang pinned Marlowe. "The Metal Storm" falls to 2-5 in 2019 and 4-3 in mixed tag team matches. Including her two matches with Roxi in the BFTP, he's also teamed with Cadence Carter in 2018 and four times with Sam Marlowe, twice in last year's tournament and winning (at CC 226 on 26 August 2018) and losing (at Violent Conduct V on 16 September) the World Mixed Tag Team Championship to Kain and Mercedes Vargas. In his 32nd career match, Storms falls to 10-22 and all of his wins have come on Climax Control (he's 0-8 on pay-per-view), where he's 10-14 overall.

Devona and Alex Jones faces Mackenzie Page and Goth in the last four of the BFTP at next week's Climax Control from Manchester, England, the go-home show leading to London Brawling II event in three weeks. Amy Santino and Senor Vinnie faces Brittany Williams and Kale Smith in the first match. Storms teams with Fenris against World Heavyweight Champion Austin James Mercer and Ty West in the main event.

LOWRI MOSS vs MERCEDES VARGAS

This was the first meeting between these Bombshells, the first match in SCW in over 15 months for Moss, her first match on Climax Control in over 2 years and her first singles match in roughly three years.

Entering Sunday, Vargas drew with Seleana Zdunich at CC 232 when neither woman could continue the match. It was the first draw for Zdunich in her SCW career and the second for Vargas and first in three years since a singles match with Samantha Marlowe at CC 151 was thrown out due to excessive interference when Mikah and Crystal Zdunich brawled with both wrestlers.

Moss' last SCW match happened last January at Full Circle on 14 January 2018 where she and Natalie McKinley unsuccessfully challenged for the World Bombshell Tag Team Championship against champions Charlotte Elliot and Mackenzie Page with Page submitting McKinley to win for her team and retain in their fourth defense. It was her first loss after winning her first three matches (3-1). Moss' last singles match actually came back in 2016. She defeated Twisted Sister by pinfall at CC 160 on 9 October to win her SCW in-ring debut and the first of two matches she competed in that year, the other was a tag team win with McKinley at High Stakes IV on 20 November over the Justice League, Zuri Chastain and Belinda Warwick when McKinley pinned Chastain. In 2017, Moss and McKinley won their second match as a team at CC 198 on 3 December 2017 in a win over the Foshan Bombshells, Song and Orchid, when Moss pinned Song. Sunday was Moss' fifth match in SCW and first-ever main event.

For Vargas, it was her 19th main event and 18th on Climax Control, where she's 10-9, 10-8 on Climax Control. Her last main event was a tag team win with Cat Riley over Kate Steele and Jessie Salco at CC 216 on 30 September 2018 where Riley pinned Salco for the win. Her last singles main event happened at CC 203 on 29 April where she unsuccessfully challenged Brittany Williams for the Bombshell Roulette Championship in a Roulette Rules Falls Count Anywhere match that Williams won by pinfall.

The SCW Hall of Famer falls to 2-4-1 in 2019 after Sunday and 2-9 lifetime in the month of April, her worst month in SCW. She's now lost her past four in this month dating back to CC 179 on 30 April 2017. She lost both of her April matches in 2018 at CC 201 and CC 203 on 15 and 22 April. Her last win in the month was back-to-back wins at CC 175 and CC 177 on 2 and 16 April 2017. Vargas falls to 56-71-2 in her 129th career match (her next match will have her join Jessie Salco and Amy Santino as the only wrestlers in history to reach 130 career matches and the fastest to reach the milestone in just five years; it took Salco and Santino six years), 41-50-2 on Climax Control in her 93rd match on Sunday nights (she trails Salco with 96 on Sunday by three for most career matches on Climax Control and Santino with 95 is ahead of Vargas by two for second place) and 28-34-2 in her 64th career singles match.. With her 50th career loss on Climax Control, Vargas becomes the third female wrestler to reach 50 career losses on Sunday nights after Salco and Santino. (Salco has 68 while Amy Santino, 4th loss of 2018 has 55).

Vargas still remains two wins from becoming only the second female wrestler to reach 30 career singles wins, three from tying and four from claiming the Bombshells singles record which has been held by Mikah (31) since 12 August 2018 (CC 212).
