SCW returns to the States following the London Brawling II event and it's seven-week overseas tour of Ireland and the United Kingdom with CC 236 from the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. This is the fallout show from the supercard which saw three title changes, two number contenders crowned for the Roulette championships, Ben Jordan turning to the dark side and the seventh Blast From the Past Tournament winners crowned. Advertised for next weekend: Jessie Salco looks to bounce back from another missed opportunity to get her title ban lifted when she faces Amanda Cortez in a match with history between the two; Blade Alexander faces Jake Raab while Goth challenges Teddy Warren in Warren's SCW, singles and Climax Control debut in a pair of first-time matchups; Trinity Jones faces Mercedes Vargas in singles for the first time in nearly two years as Vargas continues her assault on the SCW record books two weeks after she reached, set, tied or extended eight different records at London Brawling II; Griffin Hawkins and Travis Levitt go at it again in a rematch for the Roulette Championship just two weeks after Hawkins ended Levitt's title reign; and World Heavyweight Champion Austin James Mercer and Alex Jones battle Ty West and Fenris in an explosive main event.

This is SCW’s 13th visit to the Gold Coast since 2013, and second visit in 2019 following the Inception III event back on 13 January.

JESSIE SALCO vs AMANDA CORTEZ

STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES

This is the fourth meeting between these two Bombshells, the second singles meeting and first in four years, and second meeting in 2019, with Cortez winning the first two of the previous three meetings (2-1). Salco won the most recent meeting at CC 232 during the first round of the Blast From the Past Tournament. Salco and Andrew Garcia eliminated Cortez and Jamie Dean, with Salco pinning Cortez. Cortez won the first singles meeting in 2013 by pinfall at Hostile Takeover on 28 April.

Entering CC 236, Salco lost a tag match with Amy Santino against Crystal and Seleana Zdunich where the winner would receive a title match and Salco would have had her title match band lifted. It's been ten months since Mark Ward handed down the title ban at CC 208 on 10 July 2018. Salco dropped to 0-5 at pay-per-view in the month of May. She lost at Chaos in Cape Town on 25 May 2014, Mayhem in Morocco on 3 May in 2015, and at Into the Void in 2017 and 2018 on 14 and 27 May respectively. At London Brawling II, Salco and Santino became the first female wrestlers in SCW history - and one of only three wrestlers in SCW alongside Despayre - to have competed at all fourteen individual SCW pay-per-view events. Salco also became the first wrestler to reach 40 career pay-per-view matches with Santino (38) and Mercedes Vargas (37) likely to join her this year.

Cortez dropped to 0-2 in her return to SCW after coming up short at London Brawling II against eventual winner Mercedes Vargas and Daniela V Rodgers in a Triple Threat Bombshell Roulette Championship number one contender's match that saw Vargas pin Rodgers. Rodgers spoiled Cortez's in-ring return at the go-home show to the supercard CC 235 on 14 April. The former world and tag champion has lost five of seven (2-5) and is searching for her first win since being on the winning side of a ten-woman elimination tag match at CC 200 with Zuri Chastain, Alexis Mercer and Odette Stevens against Vixen, Delia Darling and Keira Fisher-Johnson and Roxi Johnson. Cortez is 24-20-1 in SCW.

Salco is 2-10 all-time in the month of May in her career. She is 1-6 in 2019 having lost three straight, 38-96-2 in SCW and 18-37-1 in singles, having lost five in a row dating back to CC 221 in 25 November 2018.

BLADE ALEXANDER vs JAKE RAAB

STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES

This is the first meeting between Alexander and Raab.

Alexander made his SCW return in the 2019 Blast From the Past Tournament where he reached the quarterfinals with Alicia Lukas before falling to Kale Smith and Kimberly Williams at CC 233 on 7 April. At London Brawling II, Alexander fell short in a triple threat Roulette Rules Falls Count Anywhere match to determine the number one contender to the Roulette Championship when Jack Asher pinned Joshua Acquin.

Raab's last match was a pinfall singles win over Griffin Hawkins at CC 233 on 7 April. The former Honor Champion is 3-4 in 2019, 7-7 in SCW splitting his first 14 matches, 6-5 on Climax Control and 6-4 in singles having won three straight, including pinfall wins over Hitamashii (CC 238) and Todd Williams (CC 230).

MERCEDES VARGAS vs TRINITY JONES

STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES

This will be the third meeting and second singles match between Vargas and Jones who last met during the Golden Briefcase Ladder match at Inception III this past January, eventually won by Kate Steele. Vargas won the earlier singles meeting against Jones by pinfall at CC 199 on 10 December 2017.

Vargas, 3-3-1 in 2019, is coming off a triple threat win over Amanda Cortez and Daniela V. Rodgers to become number one contender to Sam Marlowe's Bombshell Roulette Championship London Brawling II. The match will take place at Into the Void VIII next month on 30 June. Jones competed in her fourth opportunity at the Bombshell Roulette Championship, now falling to 0-4-1 after second consecutive pay-per-view title loss to Sam Marlowe at London Brawling II. She was unsuccessful all three times: at CC 191 in a Roulette Rules Two Out of Three Falls match (which ended in a draw) and at Blaze of Glory VII in a Roulette Rules Backstage Brawl. The loss kept Jones winless on pay-per-view, now 0-6 lifetime.

Vargas achieved several milestones at London Brawling II including competing in her 37th consecutive pay-per-view, breaking the SCW record formerly held by Despayre which had stood for two years since April 10, 2016 (Blaze of Glory V) and extending the active and career record in the Bombshells division; becoming one of only three female wrestlers to have at least one win at 10 different SCW pay-per-view events alongside Samantha Marlowe and Crystal Zdunich who also won matches at the supercard; recorded her 57th career win, extending the record for most overall wins by a female wrestler since she passed Roxi Johnson's previous record of 53 in December 2018 which had stood as the record for two years following her retirement in 2016; claimed the record for most pay-per-view wins by a female wrestler with 16, breaking a tie with Amy Santino who lost at the pay-per-view; and earned her 28th career win in singles.

The SCW Hall of Famer will get a chance to alter only one record next week, however. Vargas' next win will give her sole possession of the record for most career wins on Climax Control by a female wrestler, breaking the tie with Roxi Johnson. Vargas originally passed Johnson's then-record of 40 this past February at Climax Control 227 on 3 February in a singles pinfall win over Apple Coren for Win No. 41 before Johnson tied it by winning her in-ring return at CC 231 on 24 March in a first round match in the Blast From the Past Tournament with Caleb Storms before bowing out in the quarterfinals, ending her return for the tournament.

Vargas is trying to keep pace with Sam Marlowe in the race to claim the record for most career singles wins by a female wrestler, currently held by Mikah with 31. Marlowe tied Vargas for second after her successful defense of the Bombshell Roulette Championship over Trinity Jones at London Brawling II.

"The Dragon" has lost two in a row and three of her last four, dropping to 4-4 in 2019 after a 3-1 start and 7-14-1 in SCW. Jones is also 6-10-1 in singles. Vargas is 57-71-2 in her career, 41-50-2 on Climax Control and 28-33-2 in singles. Her 131 matches in SCW competition are third most in company history behind Jessie Salco (136) and Amy Santino (134). Her 57 victories are second most in company history behind Despayre (82) and the most by a female wrestler, five more than Santino (52) and fourteen more than Sam Marlowe (43). Her 65 singles matches on Climax Control are eight more than Salco (57) and ten than Santino (55).

Vargas won her previous two matches in the month of May where she's 6-5 in SCW. This will also be the 35th match for Vargas following a pay-per-view where she is 16-17-1 overall. She is 7-5 on the first show, 9-12-1 on the second. Sunday will be the first time Vargas wrestles on the first show since CC 216 back on 30 September 2018 where Vargas and Cat Riley defeated Kate Steele and Jessie Salco in a main event tag match. She is 6-10-2 in singles matches following a pay-per-view.

GOTH vs TEDDY STEELE-WARREN

STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES

This is the first meeting between Goth and Steele-Warren and the SCW, Climax Control and singles debut for Steele-Warren, the husband of former Bombshell Roulette and Internet Champion Kate Steele.

Goth made his return to SCW during the Blast From the Past Tournament where he and Mackenzie Page made it to the final four before falling to Devona and Alex Jones at CC 235 on 14 April after Jones pinned Goth. The SCW Hall of Famer also lost at London Brawling II where he was defeated by Daniel J. Morgan by pinfall to drop to 0-2 at the supercard. Goth also was defeated by Tom Dudely by pinfall in his London Brawling debut in 2012.

ROULETTE CHAMPIONSHIP: GRIFFIN HAWKINS © vs "THE PHOENIX" TRAVIS LEVITT

STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES

This is the second meeting between champion and challenger and a return title match from London Brawling II where Hawkins ended Levitt's reign at 49 days in his first defense. Defending Roulette Champions are now 0-2 at the supercard. Levitt saw his two match win streak ended and fell to 0-4 on pay-per-view. Defending champions are now 0-2 at London Brawling. Matthew Kennedy defeated champion Bo Dreamwolf by pinfall for the Roulette Championship in 2012. Levitt fell more than four months short of the singles Roulette Championship record held by Kristopher Ryans at 168 days and eigth months short of his combined reign at 259 days, needing to hold the title until 21 October and 20 January 2020, respectively.

Hawkins won his second SCW championship and his first Roulette Championship in his career. "The Rock Soldier" is 10-5 in SCW, 9-5 in singles and 3-0 in title matches. Levitt is 3-6 in 2019 and 4-7 overall in SCW. He's 4-3 on Climax Control, having won three in a row with wins at CC 230 (over Lachlan Kane and Austin James Mercer in a World Heavyweight Championship qualification match), CC 231 (a first round win in the Blast From the Past Tournament with Valentina against Vanu Naufau and Otaki when Levitt submitted Naufau) and CC 232 (defeating champion St. John Cross for the Roulette Championship in a Roulette Rules Ladder match, ending Cross' reign at three weeks). He's 2-2 in singles.

WOLFSLAIR (Austin James Mercer and Alex Jones) vs TY WEST and FENRIS

STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES

This is the second time as tag partners for Mercer and Jones, the fifth meeting between Mercer and Fenris and the sixth meeting and second as tag partners for West and Fenris.

Mercer and Jones won their tag team debut against Gamers, Inc. in Jones' SCW pay-per-view debut at Inception III back on 13 January. Mercer is 3-1 against Fenris and the last time West and Fenris teamed up was at CC 222 against Senor Vinnie and Jake Raab. (Fenris is 2-1-1 against him).

Entering CC 236, Jones teamed with Devona during the Blast From the Past Tournament having defeated the teams of Teddy Warren and Daniela V. Rodgers at CC 232, Caleb Storms and Roxi Johnson at CC 234 and Mackenzie Page and Goth at CC 235 to before falling to Kale Smith and Brittany Williams in the finals at London Brawling II. It was the first career losses for Jones and Devona as a team and in overall tag matches, now 4-1 in tag matches and 3-1 as a team in mixed tag during the BFTP, and his first career decisive loss in SCW and overall second in his career.

Jones is 6-2 in SCW and had his three match win streak halted. "The Black Dragon" went unpinned/unsubmitted for 112 days/3 months, 22 days.

Mercer is 2-0 in tag. He's 8-3 in SCW and has won four straight. Mercer successfully retained the World Heavyweight Championship against Fenris, West and Caleb Storms, who Jones pinned. Defending champions are now 2-0 at London Brawling. It was the third straight loss for Fenris, 4-3 in 2019 and 19-3-1 in his career. It's also the first time "The White Wolf" and the 2018 Rookie of the Year has lost three consecutive matches. Fenris had won his first 19 straight matches (including 14 in his first 15 matches in 2018, 14-0-1) and was unbeaten in his previous 12 matches (11-0-1) since a tag match with Kristopher Ryans against Ben Jordan and Tommy Crimson ended in a no contest at CC 212 on 12 August 2018 which snapped his winning streak at seven, including a five-match winning streak on Climax Control. The former Roulette Champion had his two-match win streak snapped and fell to 0-2 in world title matches following the loss. He is 3-4-1 in 2019, 14-12-1 in SCW.

Mercer and West defeated Fenris and Storms in the main event to the go-home show before London Brawling at CC 235 on 21 April when Mercer pinned Storms. For Fenris, it was his second-ever loss in SCW and first in tag matches. Mercer defended the title for the first time since defeating Fenris by pinfall at CC 231 on 31 March, ending Fenris's title reign at 245 days/35 weeks/8 months, 2 days and his undefeated streak at 343 days/49 weeks/11 months, 9 days.
