SPECIAL REFEREE: Former MMA Champion/SCW World Heavyweight Champion Fenris

.This was Middlebrooks' fourth defense since defeating Dahlia Rotten at High Stakes VIII on 11 November 2018 to become inaugural champion, the Climax Control and singles debut for both Middlebrooks and Ikeda and their second meeting but first singles match. They previously met during a six-woman tag match at Underground 9 on 31 December 2018 where Middlebrooks and her New Foundation stablemates Shelby Holt and Ivory Sullivan were defeated by Tatsu Ikeda, her Kawaii Dragons teammate Winter Elemental and Denise Andrews in a Kendo Stick match in an unsuccessful challenge for the Dragons' Hardcore Tag Titles.

This was Middlebrooks' fourth singles match. All three of those matches happened in SCU, winning all three. Middlebrooks' most recent match was her third successful defense as Combat Champion as she defeated Chanelle Martinez-Blade in a Sin City Street Fight on the Ladies Night edition of Underground at Underground 11 on 23 January. In addition to her successful defense this past Sunday, Middlebrooks has also successfully defended the Combat Championship against against Martinez-Blade and Denise Andrews on two occasions, by forfeit at Underground 8 on 24 December and again at the aforementioned Inception pay-per-view on 13 January. Ikeda was part of a six-woman battle royal also at Underground 11, though failed to win as she was eliminated second by Kandy Kaine. The match also featured Stephanie Sullivan, Valentina, eventual winner Daniela V. Rodgers and Denise Andrews, who Rodgers elininated last to win. The loss ended Ikeda's undefeated streak in SCU, now 7-1.

Including one time as tag partners, this was the third meeting but second singles match between Beckett and Weaver, Weaver's Climax Control and singles debut, Beckett's fourth defense of the Combat Championship, and a return title match from Inception on 13 January, where Beckett defeated Weaver by knockout to successfully retain the title in his third defense, his most recent match. Weaver is coming off a mixed tag win with Cindy Warren against Jerry Cann and Kandy Kaine at Underground 12 on 30 January for his first win ever in SCU. Weaver competes in only his third match in SCW, though lost in both of his appearances at the pre-shows at High Stakes (a mixed tag team loss with Cindy Warren to Blade Nation, John and Chanelle Martinez-Blade) and agsin at Inception (the aforementioned unsuccessful challenge for the Combat Championship). In SCU, Weaver is 1-3-1-1. In SCU, Beckett is 2-3-1 and is on a four-match winless streak after a 2-0 start but is 2-0 in SCW having won at High Stakes and Inception. Including his defense against Weaver at Inception, Beckett has defeated Dorian Brown in an MMA match by first round submission at Underground 3 (21 November 2018) and went to a draw with fellow Bad Boys member Tim Staggs when neither man was able to continue at Underground 8 (25 December 2018). Entering CC28, Beckett has held the Combat Championship for 91 days. If he retains Sunday, he will become the first Combat Champion to reach 100 days on 19 February.

This was Barrett's overall fifth match and fourth singles match and the second meeting but first singles match between Barrett and Jones. They shared the ring during the Bombshells Golden Briefcase Ladder match at Inception on 13 January, ultimately won by Kate Steele. At CC 226, Barrett lost her second match in a row and suffered her first singles loss in SCW as she unsuccessfully challenged Samantha Marlowe for the Bombshell Roulette Championship in a Roulette Rules Submissions Count Anywhere match while Trinity Jones submitted Mercedes Lewis to end a five-match slide overall and a three-match slide both on Climax Control (4-7-1) and in singles (3-7-1) that lasted four-month for her first win since she defeated Parand Ara at CC 216 on 30 September. Barrett is now 2-3 in SCW and 2-1 in singles. Jones improves to 5-11-1 in 17 career matches.

This was the first meeting between Hitamashi and Raab, the overall second match and singles match for Hitamashi, Raab's overall tenth match in SCW and his eigth career singles match. Hitamashi won his SCW, Climax Control, and singles debut over Kadar Hasheem two weeks ago at at CC 226. Raab lost to Austin James Mercer by pinfall in a number one contender's match for the World Heavyweight Championship the same night. Raab is now 5-5 in SCW and 4-4 in singles.

This was Kwan's singles debut, the second match between Kwan and Santino and their first-ever singles match between these Bombshells. Kwan, one fourth of the Gamers, Inc. stable alongside Jack Stewart, Jimmy Andrews and Beverly Milsap, wrestled her fourth match here. All three of her previous matches have been in tag with Andrews, having won in her debut at Violent Conduct in 16 September and lost at CC 222 (2 December) and CC 225 (24 December) in 2018, where Santino won a mixed tag with Jon Dough against Kwan and Jimmy Andrews at CC 225 on 23 December to eliminate then from the Mixed Tag Team Series. With Mercedes Vargas idle, Santino moved ahead of her fellow Hall of Famer to claim the second most matches wrestled in SCW, behind only Jessie Salco, who wrestled her 132nd career match later in the night. For the Punk Princess, this was her 126th career match, 90th match on Climax Control (becoming the third wrestler in history to reach this milestone after Jessie Salco and Vargas, who wrestled her 90th match the previous week in a singles win over Apple Coren, and tied Vargas for second-most and 52nd career singles match). This was the 16th time Santino wrestled on Climax Control in back-to-back weeks and the first time wrestling three successive shows since CC 211-213 from 5-18 August 2018, and the first time wrestling in back-to-back singles matches since wrestling seven straight in 2018 at Summer XXXtreme VI, CC 211-213, CC 215, Violent Conduct and CC 217. Santino earned her 49th career win to improve to 49-75-2 in 126 matches, her 35th win on Climax Control (35-53-2) and 22nd in singles (22-29-1). She has a opportunity to join Mercedes Vargas as Roxi Johnson as the only Bombshells in history to reach 50 career wins, win her overall 9th championship and become just the fifth three-time Bombshell Roulette champion when she faces Samantha Marlowe in next week's main event.

This was the first meeting between Levitt and Jones, Levitt's overall fourth match and second career singles matches in SCW since his debut win over Joshua Acquin at CC 223 on 9 December and Jones' singles debut and overall second match in SCW. Levitt, now 1-4, came off his third straight loss, most recently a Unified Roulette Championship match at CC 226 where St. John Cross defeated previous champion Ty West and Levitt in a Roulette Rules Triple Threat Ironman match in West's second defense ending his reign at 77 days. Levitt also lost a previous triple threat at CC 225 which Cross also won by pinning World Mixed Tag Team Champion Lachlan Kane, handing Kane his first loss in SCW and also failed to win the Golden Briefcase Ladder match, ultimately won by Senor Vinnie. Jones successfully won his SCW, pay-per-view and tag debut as he and Austin James Mercer defeated Jimmy Andrews and Jack Stewart of Gamers, Inc at Inception III on 13 January. He's now 2-0.

This was Seleana Zdunich's second-ever career tag match in SCW, her second consecutive match against Salco in three weeks and overall third meeting and the first time Seleana and Steele and Crystal and Salco are teaming up. The latter have met as opponents in their previous nine matches.

Seleana is now 9-11 in SCW and earned her fifth straight win since a pinfall singles win over Jessie Salco at CC 226. Additionally, The Cat has now won her past four on Climax Control to improve to 7-8. This was her fourth match since being reinstated by Mark Ward after Zdunich was fired by Christian Underwood in retaliation for slapping him. Steele wins her second in a row following winning the Golden Briefcase Ladder match at Inception on 13 January, which included Crystal's enforcer Mercedes Lewis, Pandora Barrett, Mercedes Vargas, Trinity Jones and Apple Coren. The Siren improves to 19-23-1 in 43 career matches and 10-17-1 on Climax Control. Salco falls to 37-93-2. She has now lost six straight since her last win over Ella Singleton at High Stakes VIII back on 11 November 2018, seventh straight loss in tag (18-31-1) since last win on 19 November 2017 at CC 196 with Amy Santino versus Melanie Gabrielle and Athena Gabrielle of the Angel Clan), and fifth straight on Climax Control (24-68-2; last win: CC 219 over Ella Singleton in retaining the Legacy Championship in her fourth defense). Crystal Zdunich competed in her 73rd career match Sunday, now 35-36-2, including 22-26-1 on Climax Control. She dropped her fifth in a row on Climax Control since her last win at CC 203 back on 29 April 2018, retaining the Bombshell Internet Championship in a triple threat against Diamond and Mercedes Vargas, pinning the former.

Seleana's only other tag match was with Crystal at CC 220 on 28 October 2018, where they lost to Dani Weston and Apple Coren, with Weston pinning Seleana and her other match as Crystal's opponent was during the Ultimate X Over the Pool match at Summer XXXtreme on 22 July which Crystal won to become number one contender to and face Mikah the same night for the World Bombshell Championship, though was unsuccessful. Including one time as tag partners, this was Steele's fourth meeting with Crystal but third as opponents, and Salco's fifth meeting with Steele, including one time as tag partners, but fourth time as opponents. Crystal is 7-6-1 in tag matches; Steele is 5-6 and ends a three match slide, with her last tag win at Summer XXXtreme V in 2016 in a tag win with Devona and Jessie Salco against Delia Darling, Mercedes Vargas and Veronica Taylor with Devona pinning Taylor.

Cross' reign ends at two weeks/14 days. Only seven champions have had a reign shorter than three weeks. Argento, Kain during his second reign, the joint reign of Power Play (J2H/J.N. Ringo/Giani Di Luca), Chris Shipman, Steve Ramone (his third reign), Jon Dough (his first reign) and Caleb Storms. Cross had no defenses during his reign. He defeated previous champion Ty West and Travis Levitt in a Roulette Rules triple threat Ironman match at CC 226 on 27 January to win his first SCW title.

This was scheduled to be Cross' second main event, both overall and consecutively, second career singles match, West's fourth main event, and a return match from CC 226 on 27 January where Cross ended West's title reign in his second defense at 77 days in a Roulette Rules Triple Threat Ironman match, also including Travis Levitt to win his first title match and SCW championship. Due to the no contest, Cross is now 3-1-1 in SCW and all of his wins have come on Climax Control, where he is undefeated. He defeated Anthrax to win his SCW and singles debut at CC 223 on 9 December. West is now 12-8-1 in SCW and 9-5-1 on Climax Control. West had had main events also at CC 222, CC 225 and the aforementioned CC 226. He is 2-1-1 in main events. West faces Senor Vinnie next week.
