The Gold Rush Tournament, the World Heavyweight Championship Number One Contender's Tournament, continues with more first round matches, Mercedes Vargas looks to make history by becoming the most winningest Bombshell in history but the undefeated Cat Riley stands in her way, London Underground returns to tag team action, and Dani Weston makes her first defense as World Bombshell Champion against Kate Steele to headline when Climax Control visits Scottsdale, Arizona for the first time.

Here's the six-match card in full:

Storms lost to champion Ben Jordan for the Roulette Championship in a Roulette Rules Iron Man match, Storm's second loss to Jordan (CC 215) and second title match loss in four weeks following Violent Conduct when he was pinned by Kain losing the Mixed Tag Titles with Sam Marlowe in their first defense to Kain and Mercedes Vargas. Storms is 7-13 in SCW and 4-6 in singles. Murphy, a former World Tag Team Champion, returns to an SCW ring for the first time in two years. At Violent Conduct III on 25 September 2016 in front of a hometown crowd at TD Place Arena, the Ottawa, Ontario native fell short against J2H for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Kain is coming off a singles defeat to undefeated World Heavyweight Champion Fenris two weeks ago. As of 8 October, Kain and Mercedes Vargas have passed London Underground (56 days under the Freebird Rule) for the most days individually as World Mixed Tag Team Champions combining their first reign (35 days) and their current one (22+ days since Violent Conduct on 16 September). Dmitri is also coming off a defeat to Jake Raab at Violent Conduct, his second singles loss in a row after challenging Fenris for his title

The match will be Di Luca's first match in more than 14 months. A former World Tag Team and World Heavyweight Champion, Di Luca was last seen in SCW in late July 2017 at CC 185 on 23 July defending the World Tag Team championship with Dax Beckett as part of the Bad Boys against the Monstimals in the group's only defense. Bo Dreamwolf's last match came in the 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team match at CC 200 on 17 December where he was on the winning team. This will be Dreamwolf's first match in roughly eight months.

Vargas and Riley defeated Jessie Salco and Kate Steele as a team two weeks ago in the main event on 30 September at CC 216 which was Riley's first and Vargas' 18th. With the win, Vargas improved to 10-8 in main events. The win also brought her to 11-3 all-time in the month of September, her best month in SCW. She competes in her 119th career match Sunday (53-64-1), one more than the person behind her, Amy Marshall. Both trail Jessie Salco, who competed in her 123rd match two weeks ago. After 0-4 start in 2018, Vargas has won 6 of 8 to improve to 6-6 and is on pace for ten wins on the year. Vargas' 53 wins is the most on the active Bombshell roster. Victory Sunday will give her the record for most career wins all-time by a Bombshell in SCW and tie the record for most career wins all-time by a Bombshell on Climax Control (40). Roxi Johnson has held both records since September 2016. This will be her 58th career singles match, where she's 26-30-1. The 58 matches are most in the Bombshells Division. She's two matches from reaching 60 career singles matches and four wins from joining Mikah (31-12-1) as the only Bombshells with 30 singles victories. Riley is 7-0 in her career and has been undefeated for the past five months since her debut at CC 202 on 22 April. Riley is 5-0 on Climax Control as well as undefeated in singles, now 6-0 after her most recent singles win, against Kate Steele at Violent Conduct.

London Underground return to the ring after their failed bid at the World Mixed Tag Team Championship at Violent Conduct. The quartet have held all three sets of tag titles in SCW: the World, Bombshell and Mixed Tag Team championships. Had a combined title reign as the last SCW World/Bombshell Tag Team Champions (Charlotte Elliot and Mackenzie Page held the Bombshell Tag Titles for 210 days; Daniel J Morgan and Osbourne held the World Tag Titles for 168) and first SCW World Mixed Tag Team Champions (56 days under the Freebird Rule) that lasted 266 days (Elliot/Page) and 224 (Morgan/Osborne). Their combined reigns are tied for the second-most and the sixth longest singles runs in SCW history. London Underground are 14-3 in SCW (including 2-0 in singles). The stable are 12-3 in tag matches. The four members were a combined 9-1 during their world tag title runs (Osborne and Morgan were 4-1 and Elliott and Page went undefeated at 5-0), though are 3-2 since the mixed tag team division began. Both losses came to Mercedes Vargas and Kain at Summer XXXtreme and Violent Conduct (in a triple threat also involving champions Sam Marlowe and Caleb Storms that Vargas and Kain won by outright) this year. Elliot is the only one of the group who suffered a pinfall defeat (at Summer XXXtreme, Vargas ended her unpinned streak at 308 days/10 months). The rest of the group have remained unpinned for well over a year since their debut at CC 190 on 17 September 2017). Sunday will mark 392 days and Page is five weeks away from surpassing Mikah's 427-day unpinned streak and six weeks from Vargas' 434-day singles unpinned streak, which she's held for four years since August 2014. If Charlotte Elliot teams up with either Osborne or Danilel J Morgan, then Sunday will mark their third tag match as a team. The Elliot/Osborne pairing is 2-0; the Elliot/Morgan pairing is 1-1. If Mackenzie Page competes with Osborne, then Sunday marks their second match as a team. They lost their debut at Violent Conduct. It will be the first tag match together if Page teams with Morgan. Individually, the members of London Underground are a combined 26-6 with Charlotte Elliot having the most wins. Elliot is 8-1, Mackenzie Page is 6-1 and Daniel Morgan and Osbourne have identical 6-2 records. Gamers Inc. won their debut match against Heavy Metal Mania at Violent Conduct on 16 September.

This will be Weston's 10th career match. After 0-5 start, Weston has reeled off four straight wins, capped off with her defeat of Mikah for the World Bombshell Championship at Violent Conduct, ending her third reign at 98 days and becoming the ninth Bombshell and only the third of Gabriel and Odette Steven's former students (after Mackenzie Page (CC 214) and Devona (Violent Conduct IV, ending Mikah's 168-day Bombshell Internet Championship reign) to defeat Mikah in singles. This will be Weston's fourth career title match (1-2). This will be Steele's first shot at the World Bombshell championship in her three year career (made debut at CC 124, 6 September 2015). She is coming off back-to-back main event tag losses to Mercedes Vargas in two different promotions. At Honor Wrestling, Steele's team lost in a six-woman tag that saw her pinned while the following night in SCW at CC 216, Vargas and Cat Riley defeated Steele and Jessie Salco, with Riley pinning Salco. This was Steele's second loss following her defeat to Riley at Violent Conduct in a submission match. Sunday marks Steele's fourth match since defeat of Amy Marshall on 12 August at CC 212 in her in-ring return. Steele is 7-6 in title matches, having lost each of her previous four. Sunday is her first title match since CC 190 on 17 September 2017 when she and Cynthia Warren were eliminated fourth during a six tag team battle royal for the then-vacant World Bombshell Tag Team Championship and her first shot at a Bombshell singles title since challenging Mikah for the Bombshell Internet Championship at CC 179 on 30 April 2017. Overall, this will be Steele's 37th career match in SCW where she is 17-18-1. Steele is 12-9-1 in singles
