SCW makes its return to Reno, Nevada for the second show on this cycle with CC 237. The event takes place at Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada with a six-match card. This is just the third time Reno Events Center has held Climax Control in three years since CC 136 back on 10 January 2016. The most recent visit happened later that year at CC 166 on 11 December. Advertised for this weekend: Lachlan Kane returns to singles action against Joshua Acquin three weeks after his and Sierra Williams' shock loss of the World Mixed Tag Team Championship at London Brawling II; Caleb Storms takes on Kedron Williams, Samantha Marlowe faces Cat Riley and Kale Smith goes one-on-one with Jake Raab in first time matches; London Underground takes on Amy Santino and Senor Vinnie in mixed tag; and Seleana Zdunich gets her return title rematch against Alicia Lukas for the World Bombshell Championship.

JOSHUA ACQUIN vs LACHLAN KANE

STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES

This is the first meeting between these two Superstars. Entering CC 237, Acquin was pinned by Jack Asher in a triple threat Roulette Rules Falls Count Anywhere match that also involved Blade Alexander to determine the number one contender to the Roulette Championship at London Brawling II. The former Roulette and Tag Team champion is 2-6 in 2019 and 19-67-3 ahead of his 90th career match. He joins Despayre and Casey Williams as the only men in SCW history to reach 90 career matches. Acquin is 12-35-1 in singles with his most recent singles match at CC 234, a defeat to Jack Asher by pinfall. Acquin is 13-46-2 on Climax Control.

Kane is coming off a title loss with Sierra Williams as they were defeated by Gamers Inc, who ended their reign with the World Mixed Tag Team Championship at a record-breaking 175 days and three successful defenses in their fourth defense of the titles since winning them at High Stakes VIII on 11 November 2018. It was Kane's first loss with Williams as a team in six matches and his fourth overall loss in SCW in ten matches. Kane is 2-1 in singles, with his most recent match at CC 227 on 3 February 2019, a singles pinfall loss to Tony Thorn. Prior to the defeat, Kane scored wins over Jake Raab at CC 221 and Kadar Hasheem at CC 223.

CALEB STORMS vs KEDRON WILLIAMS

STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES

This is the first meeting between Storms and Williams who also both loss at London Brawling II.

Storms was pinned by current champion Austin James Mercer in a fatal four-way for the World Heavyweight championship that also included former champion Fenris and Ty West.

Storms has lost three in a row, five of six and nine of his last eleven matches to fall to 2-7 in 2019 and 10-24 in SCW. All of his wins have come on Climax Control (he is 0-9 on PPV overall). "The Metal Storm" is 6-8 in singles. His last singles match was a submission loss to Fenris at CC 230. His last singles win was by pinfall over Joshua Acquin three shows earlier at CC 227.

Williams is coming off a singles loss to Ben Jordan at London Brawling II. The loss dropped his record to 1-2 in SCW, having been defeated in his debut on 24 March at CC 231 by Griffin then earning his first win two weeks later over Vanu Naufau by pinfall prior.

NON-TITLE: BOMBSHELL ROULETTE CHAMPION SAMANTHA MARLOWE vs CAT RILEY

STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES

This is the second time Marlowe and Riley are in the same ring, but the first as opponents. At CC 225 back on 23 December 2018, Marlowe and Riley defeated Crystal Zdunich and Mercedes Lewis when Marlowe submitted Lewis.

Both competed at London Brawling II. Riley submitted Apple Coren while Marlowe is coming off a win over Trinity Jones in her last singles title defense, her sixth, in a Roulette Rules No Disqualification match. With the win, Marlowe now owns all four individual records with the Bombshell Roulette Championship, including the record for longest singles reign when she officially passed Kate Steele's 182-day reign on 14 May. Steele held the record since 14 August 2016, nearly three years. Marlowe crossed the five-month mark on 11 April becoming just the third champion and first in three years to do so (Vargas on Valentine's Day 2015; Steele on 14 July 2016).

The other three records Marlowe passed all previously belonged to Vargas. Marlowe broke the tie with the Hall of Famer for most singles defenses Sunday, which Vargas (5 during her third reign) had held since January 2015 and was the last record of hers to fall. Marlowe has since passed Vargas' records for longest combined days (on 26 November 2018) and most combined defenses (on 17 February 2019) which had stood for three and four years respectively. As of this writing, Marlowe has held the Bombshell Roulette Championship for more than five and a half months since defeating Evie Jordan on 11 November 2018 at High Stakes VIII. She retained the title against the likes of Jessie Salco (Inception III), Pandora Barrett (CC 226), Amy Santino twice (CC 229 and CC 233) and Trinity Jones twice (BOG VII).

This will be Riley's third match since returning from a three-month hiatus. At London Brawling II, Riley avenged a singles loss to Crystal Zdunich at CC 235. Riley has won three of four (3-1). She's 2-1 in 2019, 13-1 in SCW, undefeated on Climax Control with a 9-0 record and 11-1 in singles including 7-0 on Climax Control having won two straight.

Marlowe has not lost in more than seven months having won ten straight, including eight straight in singles to match a career-high from mid-September 2015 to mid-May 2016, dating back to a fatal four-way on 21 October 2018 at CC 219 where Marlowe pinned Trinity Jones in a Roulette Rules Black Friday Brawl to become number one contender to the Bombshell Roulette Championship that also included Amy Santino and Seleana Zdunich. Marlowe is 28-12-2 in singles with wins over Portia Alexander and Evie Jordan in 2018 (at CC 212 and High Stakes VIII respectively) and Jessie Salco (Inception III), Pandora Barrett (CC 226), Amy Santino twice (CC 229 and CC 233) and Jones on two occasions (Blaze of Glory VII, London Brawling II) in 2019. Marlowe is 7-0 in 2019 and 43-26-2 overall. Marlowe will pass Crystal Zdunich (43) for the fourth-most career singles matches by a female wrestler (Vargas has 65 followed by Salco with 56 and Santino with 55). Marlowe trails Vargas (29) for second in career singles wins by a female wrestler (Mikah leads with 31).

Entering CC 236, Marlowe has held the Bombshell Roulette Championship for 189+ days and 434+ days combined, the third-longest combined singles reign and combined reign of any kind in history, only behind Mikah (574 days, 3 World Bombshell Championship reigns) and J2H (469 days, 2 World Heavyweight Championship reigns). She passed Despayre's two Internet Championship reigns totaling 308 days on 14 January 2019. On 6 January, Marlowe became the fifth champion (Mikah, J2H, Despayre, Team BJ), the fourth singles champion (Mikah, J2H, Despayre), and only the second female wrestler (Mikah) to have a 300-day combined reign. Marlowe trails Mikah for the longest combined Bombshell singles reign and combined reign of any kind. Marlowe passed Crystal Zdunich three World Bombshell Championship reigns totaling 287 days and the Fallen (3 World Bombshell Tag Team Championship reigns) for most combined reign of any kind.

LONDON UNDERGROUND vs AMY SANTINO and SENOR VINNIE

STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES

This is the first mixed tag match for London Underground since CC 224 back on 16 December 2018 where Osborne and Mackenzie Page were defeated by Ben and Evie Jordan, the fifth time Santino and Vinnie team up and first since this year's Blast From the Past where they reached the last four before falling to Kale Smith and Brittany Williams at CC 235 after Williams pinned on Santino, and the fifth match for Santino against London Underground whom she's never beaten in her career.

Vinnie is coming off a submission singles win over Anthrax at London Brawling II. Entering Sunday, Vinnie is 6-1 in 2019 and 10-4 in SCW. This will be his sixth career tag match and fifth in mixed tag, all with Santino.

Santino is coming off her second loss in a row, a tag team loss with Jessie Salco against Crystal and Seleana Zdunich where the winning team received a title match of their choice and Salco would have had her title match ban lifted. It's been ten months since Mark Ward handed down the title ban at CC 208 on 10 July 2018. Christian Underwood lifted the ban last week. Santino and Salco competed in their 20th match as a duo at the supercard and first tag match together in 17 months. Santino and Salco have bern tag partners since 2014 as the Metal and Punk Connection.

Santino is 4-8 lifetime in the month of May since 2013 having lost four straight during the month. In 2017, she lost to Devona by pinfall on 14 May at Into the Void VI as well as both of her May matches in 2018 at CC 204 on 6 May in a Blast From the Past semifinal loss with Wyatt Peterson against eventual tournament winners Evie Jordan and Devin Tyler and two weeks later at Into the Void VII on 20 May in a fatal four-way tag match teaming up with Peterson against eventual winners London Underground (represented by Charlotte Elliot and Osborne), Salco and Joshua Acquin and Claudia and Maxim Seraphina to crown the first World Mixed Tag Team Champions. "The Punk Princess" and SCW Hall of Famer is 19-27-1 in her 44th tag match and has split her first 22 mixed tag matches with an 11-11 record. She is 5-6 in 2019 and 52-80-2 in her career, including 37-57-2 ahead of her 97th career match, tying her with Salco for most in history. Santino's 80 career losses makes her just the second in history after Salco who accomplish this in 2018 (CC 201, 15 April).

Charlotte Elliot has been in all four previous matches against Santino, winning them all. In 2017, Elliot and Mackenzie Page defeated Santino and Jessie Salco to successfully retain the World Bombshell Tag Team Championship in their defense at CC 198 on 3 December after Elliot submitted Santino. In 2018, Elliot and Osborne won a fatal four-way tag match at Into the Void on 27 May to become the inaugural World Mixed Tag Team Champions at Into the Void against Santino and Wyatt Peterson, Claudia and Maxim Seraphina and Jessie Salco and Joshua Acquin when Osborne pinned Maxim Seraphina then defeated Santino and Peterson again with Osborne to successfully retain in their second defense at CC 209 on 1 July when Osborne pinned Peterson. In 2019, Elliot and SCU mainstay Winter Elemental defeated Santino and Apple Coren when Elemental submitted Coren at CC 230 on 28 April.

London Underground, the 2018 Tag Team of the Year and the inaugural and former World Mixed Tag Team Champions, are a combined 22-4 in tag matches, 6-3 since the mixed tag team division began. Individually, they are a combined 37-8 in their careers with Elliot having the most wins and fewest losses at 14-1; Daniel J. Morgan is 9-2; Mackenzie Page is 8-3, and Osborne is 6-2.

If Charlotte Elliot teams up with Osborne then Sunday will mark their fourth match as a team. The Elliot/Osbourne pairing is 3-0; if Elliot teams Morgan, it will be their fifth as a team as the Elliot/Morgan pairing is 3-1. If Mackenzie Page competes with Osborne, then Sunday marks their third match as a team. They lost their debut at Summer XXXtreme VI and again at CC 224. It will be the first tag match together if Page teams with Morgan.

Morgan has won three straight and most recently defeated Goth by pinfall at London Brawling II.

Page's last match was at CC 235 where she and Goth lost in the last four of the Blast From the Past Tournament by Devona and Alex Jones; Elliot's last match at Blaze of Glory VII earlier this year on 10 March, defeating Winter Elemental by submission. Osborne's last match happened at CC 224 on 16 December 2018, a mixed tag loss with Mackenzie Page against Ben and Evie Jordan that saw Evie win by pinfall, ending Page's unpinned streak at 455 days/14 months. Elliot's last match happened at Blaze of Glory, defeating Winter Elemental in a submission match.

KALE SMITH vs JAKE RAAB

STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES

Smith is coming off a win with Brittany Williams against Alex Jones and Devona to win the 2019 Blast From the Past Tournament at London Brawling II. Smith and Williams will get their guaranteed world title matches at the next pay-per-view at Into the Void next month. Smith is 5-0 since his in-ring return at Blaze of Glory earlier this Msrch where he defeated Caleb Storms by pinfall and 6-1 overall. (He split his first two matches in 2016, winning his debut at CC 150 and losing the second match at CC 153 before his lengthy absence).

Raab is coming off a singles pinfall win over Blake Alexander last week, his fourth straight win in singles, including pinfall wins over Hitamashii (CC 238) and Todd Williams (CC 230). Raab is 7-4 in singles. The former Honor Champion won his second in a row to improve to 4-4 splitting his first eight matches in 2019, 8-7 in SCW and 7-5 on Climax Control.

WORLD BOMBSHELL CHAMPIONSHIP: ALICIA LUKAS © vs SELEANA ZDUNICH

STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES

This is the third meeting but second singles meeting between champion and challenger, a return match from CC 230 where Zdunich defeated then-champion Lukas with help from Crystal Zdunich, ending Lukas' first reign at three weeks in her first defense.

At London Brawling II, Lukas successfully defended the championship against Kate Steele. Seleana and Crystal Zdunich scored a victory over the Metal and Punk Connection that guaranteed both title opportunities. At Blaze of Glory, Seleana lost the World Bombshell Championship in a fatal four-way without being pinned when Lukas pinned Dani Weston, ending Seleana's reign at two weeks in her first defense, tying Sam Marlowe (her second reign) and Crystal Zdunich (her third) for the shortest title reign in history.

Win Sunday would make Zdunich the eleventh two-time champion in SCW history joining Misty, Vixen, Roxi Johnson, Raynin, Sam Marlowe, Crystal Zdunich, Polly Playtime, Mercedes Vargas, Mikah and Lukas. Misty, Vixen, Zdunich, and Mikah are the only women to win the title three times.

Zdunich is 12-12-1 in SCW, including 9-8-1 on Climax Control. The draw with Vargas at CC 231 on 31 March ended her winning streak at five but she enters Sunday's contest unbeaten in her previous three matches (2-0-1), unbeaten in seven matches on Climax (6-0-1) including a six-match unbeaten streak in singles (5-0-1). She is 1-3 in title matches, 1-1 in world title matches.

Lukas competes in her sixth main event and second in a row following London Brawling II. Zdunich competes in her fourth career main event. Two of those main events involved Lukas: the aforementioned title win at CC 230 and Blaze of Glory VII and CC 220.

After dropping her first three at CC 223, Inception III and CC 230 respectively, Lukas has won her past two main events at Blaze of Glory VII and the aforementioned London Brawling II event.
